Valta looked down at the six people in their weird clothing. Not that many. The two of them could defiantly make short work of them, but they did manage to corral these cattle and avoid detection. If she was along a head on attack would make the most sense but she had someone to fight with her. She should take advantage of that. She looked back to Serana and pointed down, moving her finger in a half-circle. ”I circle.” She whispered before moving her hands together quietly. ”Then attack.”

The wild girl nodded and then left, sneaking off without giving Serana time to complain even though she was the higher ranking officer here. Normally she was a bit more conscious of rank but she was itching for a fight. The call of the hunt was more important. She began to scale the wall around the spherical area. They were high enough up that someone would have to be looking for her to see her, so the ones below would stay relatively ignorant of her presence unless she got unlucky. Conversely Serana would have no trouble following her movements.

It took a bit but she made it to the other side of the area. She looked over and nodded, waiting for a reply that showed that Serana was ready too. As soon as she knew they were both good to go, she would charge forward, not unlike how she had chased around the cattle earlier, to pincer attack the hapless cattle thieves.

Serana nodded in agreement to Valta's proposed course of action and then watched as the woman ran off. To be honest, it was clear as day that Valta was going to go regardless of what Serana said, but the latter really didn't care; after all, she asked for Valta's opinion in the first place, and it's not like this was some sort of suicide suggestion. Rather it was just basic combat tactics: flank the opponent so that you can attack them from both sides and hopefully pin them. Of course usually such a plan worked a lot better with more than two people, but then again Serana wasn't your average Marine: she was raised to be a one man army.

When Valta finally got into position, Serana gave her a salute "Return of the Jedi" style to let her know she was ready. And with that she began to charge the hippies, moving swiftly yet quietly. One of them just so happened to look her way, and began to call out, "Stop! Intru-" but of course they weren't able to finish. Before they knew it, she was already there, and the loud Marine had a date with her first. Looks like her fist was a bit too rough for him, however, as he rocketed to the floor just from pure strength.

"Hmph, and here I thought I was going to have a challenge." Serana muttered to herself as the other hippies just stared at her in shock, not really quite sure how to process what had just happened before their eyes. Of course the fact that they were all focused on Serana and preparing to defend themselves against her meant they didn't even notice Valta as she approached...

Valta nodded as Serana saluted and then began her own charge. She moved quickly over the field, obviously not as fast as Serana, but the angry girl moved with a quickness that could only be learned. Quick, efficient, and quiet, so that by the time she was noticed it would be too late for them to do anything about it, but that wasn't necessary since the distraction that took down one of them already was doing a good job of obfuscating her approach.

When she got close enough she leapt at the one in the back, swinging her legs forward and kicking him hard in the back. He let out a yell of pain as he fell forward onto the floor with Valta standing on the back she may have just broken. Just because the Marines wanted her to bring in people alive, that didn't mean she needed to have them be in one piece.

Regardless, the one under her was at least unconscious as she glared at the hippies that were stuck between the two of them. The remaining four looked back and forth at the Marines that had taken down two of them already, a bit of a silence taking over the tense situation. Valta, as short spoken as she was, broke it. ”You. Under arrest.” Finally the stalemate broke as one of them began to turn to flee, but without missing a beat Valta ran up to him and landed a punch square in his stomach. He fell over in pain, grabbing himself and screaming.

The wild girl turned to look at the others, her demeanor of perpetual anger deepening as the full extent of her rage were allowed to bubble up to the surface and, scariest of all, she was smiling. The meaning was clear: She was enjoying this.

As Valta was momentarily distracted by taking down the runner, the three remaining hippies decided it was best to use this opportunity to run away from the Marines and back towards the entrance. After all, it's not like the taller Marine would be fast enough to-oh shit, she was right in front of them. Skidding to a halt, the hippies looked forward in shock as Serana had ran all the way past them in order to stop their escape. One might wonder exactly why she bothered to cut them off if her superior speed meant she could have taken them down in route. That one wouldn't have much longer to think, however, as a punch to the head sent them spiraling to the floor unconscious.

Another might consider the possibility that she was simply showing off a bit, toying with them if you would. And they were probably right, as Serana proceeded to send a kick flying right towards their head but stopped just short of making contact. The sudden movement was still probably enough to make their life flash before their eyes, and they passed out simply from fear itself. Or maybe it's because they didn't have enough meat in their diet. That would have worked too.

Regardless, there was only one hippie left, and he looked downright terrified. Holding up a peace sign, he nervously stuttered, "M-m-make love n-n-not w-war?" Serana paused for a moment, considered the suggestion, and then, surprisingly enough, agreed with him. "Alright then, lover boy; how about a kiss?" The hippy looked confused for a second, but all made sense when Serana grabbed him by the hair and brought him down to the ground, bringing his lips inches away from the earth before stopping short.

"Alright, I'm going to ask this only one time. Where is your boss?" Serana asked the man as he seemed afraid for his life. "H-h-he was out to sp-speak with a c-c-contact. He sh-sh-should be back s-s-soon." Without letting go, the snow haired Marine turned towards Valta. "Can you go scout out the entrance? Keep an eye out to see if this guy is returning any time soon?" She then turned her attention back towards the hippie, hoping Valta would follow through with the order even if it wasn't as "fun."

The remaining hippies made a break for it when Valta ran off to deal with the first runner. The angry girl probably could have caught up to them but by the time she would have gotten going Serana was already there taking down all three of them. This genuinely impressed Valta. It was obvious in action which of them was stronger and it wasn't her. For something that grew up in an environment where whoever, or whatever, was the strongest mattered, it was an important thing for her to note.

Because of that, when Serana told her to go check the entrance, she nodded and then went off to go do so. While it indeed wasn't as fun as staying back to beat up the hippies some more, Serana had assured Valta of her place in rank above her, so following an order was just the right thing to do. She ran off to the tunnel they came in from and quickly moved back to the entrance. From there she could see 4 people on horseback on their way to the cave.

Stepping out of the cave for a moment she would tell Marco to hide if he were still there before dashing back in to the cave. Once she got back she would go over to Serana immediately. ”Four on horse. Almost here.” Valta awaited orders from Serana for what to do next. Her own instinct would be to hide and wait for them to get here to attack, but in accepting that Serana was the leader of this “pack” she would defer to her judgment on this. After all, there's a good chance they saw Marco and her at the entrance already, so they would be weary of people waiting for them. If she saw them then it was obvious that they could see her.

"Tell me about your boss," Serana continued to question the hippie. "What is he like? How strong is he?" It was these choice of words, however, that caused the hippie to freeze a bit, as if a weight had suddenly been lifted from his shoulders. He no longer looked so afraid, rather almost empowered as he smiled a bit. "Oh he's not just strong. He's invincible." Serana tightened her grip on him, shifting her hand to the man's throat so that she could reassert her dominance as she began to choke him. "I've been called the same. Now tell me, how is he so strong? What is the secret to his power."

The man lost his cocky smile, though his eyes weren't full of fear again; rather he had latched onto the belief in his boss and wasn't letting go of that feeling. "Oh you'll soon find out. You'll discover the secret to his diet." Serana could tell he was trying to get under her skin, but she refused to lose her cool. Besides, if anything the man gave it away without meaning to: their boss was a devil fruit user, and that was more than enough info to go on. Tossing the man 20 feet into the wall, knocking him unconscious, Serana turned to face Valta just as she was returning from her scouting. After hearing the report, Serana took a moment to think before speaking up. "Let's take each side of the entrance; when they enter, we'll take them by surprise." She then paused before adding, "Well maybe not by surprise, but at least they won't know where we're coming from."

Serana then proceeded to climb the steps with Valta and proceeded to take one side of the entrance to the room, pressing up against the wall. There was no easy way to conceal themselves, but then she had an idea: looking up the sides of the wall, she could tell it was not a very smooth surface. In fact, there were many different rocks jagging out or dents in the wall that made excellent footholds. Grabbing on, Serana began to climb up a little bit, just enough until her foot was above the ceiling for the entrance tunnel. Perhaps Valta would do the same on her end, or maybe she'd have a better idea. Either way, she just really hoped their opponents weren't genre savy to look up.

A couple of moments passed by before she heard a voice call down the tunnel, closer than she would have thought. "Alright dudes, we know you're in there! Listen, we have your meat-loving friend here, and we aint afraid to kill him. So stop fighting and surrender and maybe we can all-" The voice stopped right as the man speaking entered into view. He was a rather lare man, standing at about 7 and a half feet and built like one of those wrestlers you see in the magazines. He was wearing a tye-dye tank top and cargo shorts, though his feet were bare. His hair was bleached and in a buzz cut, and various vegetarian themed tattoos like "Make Love, Not Hamburgers," and "Eat Moar Chicken," were plastered all over his biceps and shoulders. He didn't say silent for long, however, as he had only been momentarily stunned by the sight that laid before him: all his underlings beaten and bloodied on the ground floor.

"BROS!!!" He called out, shocked by the siatuation. Behind him rushed forward two hippies who looked just like the ones from earlier, holding Marco by the arms between them, and proceeded to look down with equal terror. As the big guy began to run toward the stairs, Serana gave Valta (regardless of where she was) a quick gesture with her head towards the two hippies, as if telling her to free Marco, before she proceeded to do something very stupid: she kicked off the wall and tackled the boss of the group, catching them by surprise and sending them plummeting off the edge.

Valta nodded as Serana told her that they should hide for when the people on their way came in. She followed her up to the entrance and watched her use the not smooth wall of the cave they were in to climb up a bit to hide at a better angle, above the entrance to the tunnel so she could jump down. Taking a good look at the walls herself, Valta nodded again before starting to climb up herself.

Her years in the wild had given her quite a lot of experience climbing walls like this so the wild Marine girl scaled the cave's wall with ease, quickly reaching an area above where Serana was, and she kept going until she got to the ceiling. From there she grabbed on to some of the stalactites on the ceiling as she waited for the men to get there.

It wasn't that long before they showed up Valta stayed there for now, even more out of sight than Serana was, as she waited for orders. They came in the form of a quick gesture followed by Serana attacking their leader. Valta repositioned herself and then dropped down over the two hippies she was ordered to fight. Turning that fall into a kick she came down hard on top of one of them, having him take the brunt of the damage she would have from her fall. Without giving the other one holding Marco time to realize what just happened she stepped over in front of him and give him a punch, then another, then another. ”Fury Fang Pack.” she said, speaking more words together than normal as she pelted him with gatling punches. Hopefully this will have these two lower tier hippies down for the count so she could help Serana if the big guy's 'diet' really proved to make him 'invincible.'

You're probably wondering how long it was to the bottom of the cave from the upper ledge. After all, the hippies managed to get all the cattle to the bottom, and the stairs (assuming that's what they used) weren't exactly the easiest way to get cattle down given the terrain. So you might assume it actually wasn't that far down, but the answer might surprise you. The answer being, of course, that I have no clue and don't want to put a number on it.

Let's just say that it was high enough that the landing wasn't pretty.

After assuring she would stay on top in the quick, rapid descent, Serana let go of her bear-like hug of the boss when they impacted so that she wouldn't be crushing her arms under both of their weights. This of course meant that she had nothing anchoring her to the man and sent her flying off as well. The man's meaty body had cushioned her initial impact of course, but she still stung her self as she bounced off the ground for awhile before skidding to a halt. She probably would have traveled another three feet or so had she not bumped into the cow pen, breaking her slide prematurely. The boss didn't get tossed like she did, instead leaving a small crater in the ground where he impacted.

But that is when the blood in Serana's veins turned to ice, and something amazing happened.... well it wasn't so much amazing for Serana as it was terrifying: the man got up and simply brushed the dirt off of him. That was it; no signs of a large amount of damage from the fall, not blood coming out from even his mouth or nose, just nothing. He stared at the downed Marine with an agitated look on his face before he formed a light smile. "Well ain't that impressive; not many people would be crazy enough to send themselves flying off a cliff-side like that. I like your spunk." The smile died down quickly, however, and his face darkened back into an angry expression. "But I'm afraid spunk won't make up for your war-mongering."

The man began to charge at Serana, and something told her she didn't want to take him head on like this. Leaping off to the side and out of the way, Serana watched as the man stopped himself well short of the pen and turned to face her with lightning reflexes before charging yet again. With a stunned look on her face, Serana began to back pedal at an unusually high speed as the man charged her once more. His full on sprint, of course, was faster than her awkward backwards movement and he soon caught up to her. This of course was just as Serana planned; she was now backed up against the wall and the Marine leaped forward into the air before kicking off the wall to fly well out of the man's rea-

The world stopped as Serana suddenly felt a tug on her ankle. Looking down, she saw the boss once again at a full stop, right before the wall. And this time, she wasn't getting away so easily. With a swing of his body, Serana was slung violently against the wall. He then swung back around and made her move in a 180 arc as she was slammed into the wall yet again, this time on the other side. Her vision buzzing and blurring a bit, Serana was helpless as this process repeated another two times in rapid movement before she was flung far away, landing right in the middle of the cow pen with a distinctive *THUD

Unfortunately for her, Valta wouldn't exactly be free to jump in and help. Almost as soon as she finished dispatching the guards, she would be reached and grabbed from behind as a gruff female voice called out, "Gotcha." This one was a lot different than the scrubs, however, and should she be successful in her grab, she'd be able to easily toss the short girl back into the entrance tunnel, skidding across the ground several feet. If not, she would be able to parry almost any attempt at a counter attack with just her hands. This fourth person was a woman like the Marines, though she sure looked like a hippie: she wore a tie-dye tank top with bell bottom jeans and round, purple tinted glasses that were probably just there for show. She had purple colored hair that was tied up in a yellow bandana with smiley faces plastered all over it, and her figure was built like a 6 foot tall amazon. Perhaps not too different from Serana, though her her muscles were a lot more defined. This wasn't going to be an easy fight.

Valta was getting sloppy. Being grabbed by behind by the tall woman might have been bad for Valta, however it seemed like she had no sense of the hunt as Valta was thrown in to the entrance tunnel. Curling up mid air she rolled along the ground until hitting one of the tunnel's rough walls. Getting back to her feet she looked over at the woman who was just standing there, waiting.

Valta was leaned over, a predator ready to pounce back at prey that had decided to mess with her, but that throw was no joke. But that throw revealed a fairly major weakness in that woman's way of fighting, at least in Valta's eyes: The lack of instinct as a hunter. The defensive stance. The tendency to get rid of an attack instead of punish them when you had the upper hand. Where Valta grew up such a fighting style would be indicative of prey trying to get rid of a predator. A hunter wouldn't let a potential meal slip from their hands that easily.

Valta got down closer to the ground and glared at the tall woman with her dark red eyes overflowing with anger at the one who had thrown her like that. ”Endless Fury.” She said, tapping in to the hatred at the core of her being, before taking off at the tall woman on all fours. When she neared the other woman, Valta jumped in the air, aiming a punch at her opponent's upper body. The sudden shift in height wasn't quite enough to throw off the tall woman's slower speed as her arms reached up and blocked Valta's attack grabbing her in the other.

“Gotcha again,” The woman said as Valta struggled against her grip, but the angry girl was ready for this. Figthing to survive meant she had spent some time in this kind of position already. Most people when caught like this would merely struggle to break the grip but trained in the ways of nature Valta wasn't most people.

Turning her head a bit she opened her mouth wide let out a loud roar. ”GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAO!” and followed up scream of her primal rage by biting in to the tall woman's arm, hard. The sudden, unexpected pain caused the grip around Valta to loosen, allowing her to slip free and, not missing a beat, duck under the woman's legs and end up behind her, blood from the bite she had just made still on her face. Gripping her hands in to tight fists again she punched at the tall woman's obviously less trained less with all her might. ”FURY DOUBLE FANG!” Valta yelled, high on adrenaline and her own endless fury, knocking the tall woman forward.

Giving her no time to recover Valta jumped on her back as she fell and started to pummel the woman with punches, some missing and hitting the ground next to her. Feeding off her own angry she was bound to stay like this until something interrupted her or she exhausted herself.

Serana quickly sat up, her head spinning a bit and the base of her neck warmed by flesh blood dripping down. What the fuck was with this guy? His reflexes were insane, and he had a shit ton of strength behind him. Getting up, Serana focused over to where the hippie was, but to her surprise, he was no where to be seen. She muttered, "Oh crap," under her breath as she began to turn and look behind her. She was interrupted, however, by an arm swinging out and catching her right in the neck. The boss' swing didn't stop, of course, and Serana was once again sent flying, once again over the fence and this time slamming into a different wall than before. And this time she didn't even leave a crater when she impacted!

Quickly getting up and putting herself in a defensive stance, Serana watched the hippie closely as he slowly climbed up and over the gate. "Are you beginning to understand the difference in our strength?" he said with a calm, collected look on his face, almost seeming like a different person now. "I'm not just your ordinary pirate; I'm Oingo Ringo, the 55 million beli animal rights activist! And you will not take these cows back to be slaughtered!!!!" The man's grew loud and trembled the room slightly with his anger, his eyes turning blood shot. You could tell this was an issue he felt seriously about, so strongly that he would gladly lose his life for it. Of course it didn't seem like losing his life was exactly an option here; he was standing strong and tall, without a scratch on him, while a Marine W.M.D. was lying before him bloodied and dizzy. Of course he had no idea what kind of background she had; he didn't even know she was a Lieutenant Commander most likely, a ranking which definitely didn't reflex her true power and potential. But whatever; the point was Serana was outclassed. Taking deep breaths, Serana raised her gaze to match the hippie's, and with a firm, deadly look in her eyes, asked:

"What kind of shitty name is Oingo?"
Ok, maybe antagonizing the guy kicking your ass wasn't the smartest of strategies, but damn her if she wasn't arrogant. The hippie moved at incredible speed, but this time Serana wouldn't be caught off guard. The Marine began to block and trade blows with the hippie, successfully managing to prevent herself from being sent flying again, for now at least. It hadn't been long since she had been pushed like so, since she was technically brand new to the actual Marines, but she still hadn't expected quite a challenge this early. If she hadn't been caught so off guard, then perhaps she would be able to best him over time while just relying on her martial arts skills. Unfortunately, she was still feeling a bit woozy from her injuries and she could tell she was a bit slower and weaker. It wasn't too terribly long till the man landed a strong punch to her gut and sent her flying back.

Perhaps he would have immediately followed up with another attack while she was helpless in mid air, but he stopped himself. As she flew back, Serana began to morph into a large lizard about 19 feet long and 5 feet wide. Her scales were a dark green and had armored plates along her back and 6.5 foot long tail, and her head was now very wide and had a beak. Landing with a tremendous *thud*, Serana created a small crater in the ground, now the ancient Ankylosaurus. The fact that she had resorted to her devil fruit meant that this was serious business, and the hippie seemed to realized it. He muttered, "Oh crap," under his breath before he suddenly got slammed in the side with the club at the end of Serana's tail. For once, it was the hippie getting slammed into a wall, but that still wasn't enough to shake him; he got up without a scratch yet again, though this time he didn't exactly have the luxury to preapre himself for a counter attack.

Serana immediately ran and rammed into the man knocking him over to the side. When she went to stomp down her foot on him, trying to crush him, he rolled to the side and swung with all his might at the mighty dinosaur. Serana's tail snapped up to block the punch, one of her armored plates slamming into his fists and forcing him to recoil in pain. He proceeded to leap high up onto Serana's back, punching her unarmored scales, but Serana simply slammed herself up against the wall, pinching him and causing him to lose his grip and fall off when she move away from the stone. Serana swung with her tail once more, but this time he was ready for it; the man grabbed her tail and actually managed to maintain control as he turned the tail's intertia against Serana, knocking her off her feet as he swung around the tail and crashed her into the wall again.

Surprised that the man was so freakishly strong that he could actually move her in this form, Serana was caught in a daze when she suddenly felt the hippie land on her head, taking out a hunting knife he had and stabbing her head several times. Roaring in pain, Serana proceeded to bash her own head against the wall several times until he finally lost his grip and let go, taking his knife with him. He recovered quickly, however, and immedaitely bounced back off the floor and towards her head once again, but he wouldn't get the pleasure of landing again. Shifting, Serana morphed into her specialized hybrid form and reduced her size to only 8 feet tall, causing the hippie to go flying above her. With her arms now containing armored plates as well, Serana slashed them forward in the air, creating shockwaves that traveled through the air and intersected with the man in his descent, cutting hard against him and finally drawing some sort of blood.

But when the man landed, Serana could tell that he still wasn't completely phased by this. Meanwhile she was bleeding profusely from her head, and was quickly burning out. She needed to figure out how to end this, quick.

As Valta continued to mercilessly pummel the tall woman she began to recover from the sudden attacks that Valta had don against her, pushing herself up against the angry Marine's punches, pushing her off of her back. Valta landed a bit next to her and started to get back to her feet but her opponent reached back and grabbed on to one of her legs, getting to her feet as Valta struggled to break free, kicking the arm with her free leg.

With her full strength she swung Valta hard into a wall, not letting her go so she couldn't get free to bite her again. The shock of the impact stunned Valta for a bit, but she wasn't unconscious. There was a pause in the conflict while things settled. The tall woman breathing deeply to recover from the damage she received as Valta seemed down for the count, but her rage would not be taking down so easily. Swinging her free leg up and down on the arm that held her other leg she pulled herself up, fighting against the angle of the woman's wrist to pull herself up.

It was quite a sight to behold. Valta's face, blooded from her impact with the wall and the blood from the bite she had take, rising up to stare at the woman that held her captive, almost quite nearly looking insane, as she reached forward to grab on the woman's shoulder with one hand before she could start to fight back against Valta's attempt to pick herself up. A battle of Strength Valta could only hold out on for a bit as she gripped on to the woman like her life depended on it, raising her free arm up and punching the tall woman in the face. In her rage her strikes were still not as precise as they could be, but they were strong. An angry girl striking with a rage that had consumed her very being and an instinct to survive ingrained in her.

An herbivore that fought for such things as the right for prey to go free more than their own survival was too weak to stop her. Finally the struggle was done as the tall woman fell to her knees, letting go of Valta and then falling to the ground. Valta wasn't in the best condition herself, but she was still standing for now.

The hippie got up and stared the Marine woman down, his eyes full of what could probably best be described as a peaceful tranquility with a hint of anger. He immediately sprung towards her again, and the two resumed their contest of blows. Though he was a little faster than her, Serana was more than able to make up for it by making well timed movements of her body, often blocking the man's attacks with the armored plates on her arms. He was strong, there was no doubt about that, but she was much more experienced in the realm of martial arts. This guy seemed to be like one of those guys who were just naturally born fighters and just pummeled everything with their own uniquely developed fighting style. True, Serana didn't exactly have a set fighting style herself, but that was more so due to the fact that she didn't have a particular one she liked from the dozens she learned. She was thus very fluid and precise in her movements, not letting a single one go wasted, and this gave her an edge in their battle.

Of course when I say "edge," I don't mean she had the "upper hand." In fact, the hippie had his own "edge" in the form that he was still feeling barely a damn thing from their battle and Serana was hurting badly. Even with her superior fighting technique, Serana's wear and tear eventually caught up to her and she let her guard slip. The man's hand shot straight forward and grabbed Serana's neck in a choke hold; before she could lash out at his hand and arm to force him to let her go, he swung her up above him, rotating his hand around her neck in the process so that his palm rested on the side of her neck now, and slammed her face first into the floor. A small crater was left from the impact, and before Serana could even flinch from the blow, she felt the hand slip from her neck onto her hair, at which point her face was bashed in time and time again.

After this happened about 4 or five times, he picked her up by the air and sent her flying into the wall once more, which by this point was a very common occurrence. Serana formed yet another crack in the wall, and as she collapsed she lost focus and slipped back into basic human state. In a complete daze, Serana was helpless to do anything as the hippie made his way over to her and grabbed her by the neck once more. Only this time he was done with simply bashing her into the wall or floor; while she was restrained, he used his other hand and repeatedly punched her, and the woman could feel her ribs cracking if not outright breaking. After two or three of these punches, the man lifted her off the ground, tightening his grip on her neck as it became extremely difficult for her to breathe.

"How does it feel?" the hippied began to speak, any traces of that fake 60's accent completely gone now. "How does it feel to be so beaten and broken that your devil's power has completely abandoned you?" God, Serana wanted to punch the guy's face in so bad right now, or at the very least spit on him. The best she could muster from this predicament, however, was awkwardly drooling on the man. "You fruit users are all the same: you think that just because you have a special power that you're better than those who don't. You believe that unless you come across Seastone, you're nigh indestructible. Well guess what, princess?" The hippie now slammed Serana against the wall, pinning her up against it as she could now no breathe altogether. "There are better ways to get power than eating some cursed fruit. Take me for example: the origin of my strength is similar in that it comes from food, but it's not a one time thing. Rather it's a special diet." Diet? What the hell was this man talking about? What kind of diet gave you such ridiculous strength and stamina? "Oh, that look in your eyes; you want to know what it is, do you? Well I suppose that you don't have much longer to live, so I'll tell you." The man leaned in close to Serana, and what he whispered in her ears will blow your mind...

"I'm a vegan."

That......

That......... was such..........

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!

Her leg swarming forward, Serana's foot came into direct contact with the man's family jewels. The impact hurt him much more than any previous attack of hers, and Serana was freed from his grip. Serana's fist tightened and as soon as she landed on the ground, she sent a punch flying straight into his jaw, sending the stunned guy several meters due to sheer impact from the blow. After taking a second to recollect herself and get a flow of oxygen moving through her lungs once more, Serana went ham on the guy. "What the fuck kind of superpower is being a vegan? Are you fucking retarded?!?!?" Recovering from the unfair blow, the hippie braced himself and got back onto his own two feet. "Don't you dare discredit what you don't understand; being vegan is the pinnacle of human potential! Meat makes the body weak, and thus many people turn to vegetarianism in hopes of growing stronger. But forbidding yourself from meat consumption is only part of a step: animal products entirely cannot run through your body! And thus the few of us brave enough to become true vegans are granted powers beyond your-

The hippie was cut off as his jaw met fist once more, his monologue having distracted him from Serana approaching him at extreme speeds and sending him flying once more. "This is so stupid that I can't even stand listening to you anymore!" the Marine said, her whole body burning with a rage and fury ten times what she had felt before. I mean she could honestly not believe what she was hearing; did this guy really think that he was this strong because of a fucking diet?!?!? I mean he probably just had huge strength potential in him to begin with and he just started training hard when he adopted his new diet, or some other reasonable shit like that. I mean dear God this guy was stupid! "DON'T YOU DARE MOCK ME!!!!" Serana heard as she suddenly saw the hippie's fist approaching her own face, having been caught up in her own monologue (though this one was internal). Thankfully the man really was stupid and yelled at her before he hit, meaning Serana had just enough time to dodge out of the way by leaping to the side.

As she landed on the ground and skidded away a bit, Serana's eye caught something laying on the ground right next to her. It was the unconscious body of one of the hippies from earlier, and from his pocket spilled something interesting: a small, mostly eaten piece of string cheese. She was puzzled at first, but the she realized that the man never said that his crew was full of vegans. It was actually much more likely that they were just simple vegetarians, considering how that one guy she interrogated spoke of the captain as having a special diet. And cheese wasn't animal meat, only a......

Oh. Oh yeah, this would be interesting. Serana quickly grabbed the cheese and obscured it in her hand as she pushed off the ground and out of the way of another attack, this time the hippie's fist missing her only by an inch and slamming into the ground, creating an even deeper crater than the one's he made when slamming her down. Wow, this guy was really pissed off, wasn't he? That's ok, cause she was too. Turning to face the hippie, Serana formed a smirk on what was now her almost completely blood covered face. "You know if vegans are so powerful, then why didn't you convince your crewmates to be vegan as well, instead of just vegetarian? Maybe they wouldn't have been so weak; hell, some of them might actually be dead instead of unconscious because of it!" And that would do it: the hippie's eyes were now full of complete blood lust as he charged at Serana with a speed that made this entire fight look like a tortoise race. "I'LL KILL YOOOOUUU!!!!" he screamed as he bull rushed Serana and rammed straight into her. But as he sent her flying, Serana sent her hand slapping against the man's wide open mouth, flinging the string cheese down his throat in the process.

As Serana bounced off the floor for a dozen feet or so and slammed to a stop against yet another wall, the man just stood their, frozen. He didn't move for a solid 5 seconds before he suddenly stuck his finger down his throat, as if he was realizing what had entered his stomach. But the man's body was reluctant to throw up, as if it almost welcomed the cheese. The hippie tried to stick his finger back even more, but he was too late; in a blinding fury Serana had made her way back to the man and punched him once more in the face, the impact sending his teeth snapping down on the man's face as he slammed against the ground and skidded back a few feet. Maybe it was the fact that he accidentally bit down on his own hand, but that hit seemed to hurt him a hell of a lot more than the others.

"Psychology's a bitch, eh?" Serana said as she then leaped high into the air above the man. Trying to recover, the hippie had instinctually removed his now bloodied hand from his mouth so he could use it to push himself off the ground and run. But he felt too weak, too nauseous to move, and he immediately put his finger back towards his mouth to vomit up the cheese. But he would never get the chance; her strength resolved, Serana morphed back into an Ankylosaurus and came crushing down on the hippie, her 5 tonnes audibly crushing the man's bones as he was pushed down into the ground. Serana instantly morphed back so she could start to wail punches down on him to knock him out, but she didn't need to. Underneath her, lying in a crater about two or three feet deep, was the unconscious body of Oingo Whateverthefuckhisnamewas, foaming at the mouth and his eyes rolled over in a pure white.

The hippie was down for the count, and Serana collapsed to the ground in exhaustion.

Valta stood there and watched Serana's fight with this group's leader reach it's climax. The two of them were stronger and tougher than the angry girl and that much was obvious from how much they were throwing each other around and how much damage each of them were taking. If she had tried to go after that guy then it might have ended with her dead, and that was before she got beat up herself by the tall woman. As the battle ended she couldn't really blame Serana for collapsing on to the ground like that. Valta wanted a good meal and a good sleep herself but there was work to be done.

Taking a deep breath to help build her energy back up she made her way over to her superior officer, the extra rage from earlier having calmed down into her resting angry face. When she reached Serana she saw that the other girl was still awake, just taking a breather. Sitting down Valta spoke. ”Many people. Arrest. How take with?” She asked, still as short spoken as ever. Despite all of her hunting she wasn't used to having so much stuff to carry back with her so it was a question she needed an answer to.

”After that, food, rest.” She said, nodding to herself. It seemed like seeing just how strong Serana was had caused her to start opening up a bit to her. The angry girl looked over to the buffalo they were sent to find and stared at it, not with the normal anger she had while fighting, but a different primal urge that had been welling up in her: Hunger. A bit of her was glad she wasn't going to have to hunt down one now after all of that other fighting.

”Want meat.”

Laying down on her back, Serana took deep breath after deep breath as she tried to calm her heart rate down. The blood from her head was oozing everywhere, getting stuck in her hair and everything, but she didn't care; eventually the blood would clot and she would eventually recover from the wounds. After all, if just a couple of face slams to stone were going to put her out for good, then she would have never survived basic training. I mean, basic training would have put most normal Marines out of their misery, but that's really what set her aside from the average Marine. Sure, there were plenty of stronger people out there, but she was still a cut above the majority. Even this hippie guy, as absurdly strong as he was, might not have been so tough had she let her guard donw. Note to self: try and not be so cocky. If that was even possible, that is.

It wasn't too long till Valta came down and sat next to Serana, and the white haired Marine proceeded to sit up in response. Couldn't be looking like shit in front of a lower ranked Marine she was currently in charge of, right? Valta looked like she had gotten in her own tough fight, though she had no clue if the girl had just finished or not; if she had already been done for awhile, she was glad that she didn't try to get involved with that fight. Who knows what would have happened? "I got it..." she said in response to Valta's first question. "Hey Marco!" she called up overhead, causing the cowboy to poke his head over the edge in response. "What are you still doing here? Go get your fellow ranchers and come back with a plan to get these cattle out! And bring us a wagon to take all these guys back to base while you're at it!"

As Marco proceeded to run off as requested, not saying anything due to the writer not wanting to make up dialogue for him, Serana turned her attention to the cattle pen. It really was mind boggling how they had gotten so many cattle down here in such little time. As Serana and Valta proceeded to go around and cuff all the hippies up, she realized that the main hippie and his gal pal (based on the look of her body and muscle tone) would have been the only ones who could have carried one of the cows. And she really couldn't think of any other way that they could have gotten down there given the stairs. Man, those ranchers were going to have their work cut out for them....

When they eventually came, Serana proceeded to load up the chuckwagon they brought with the hippies, all still unconscious (though she had to keep hitting the Oingo guy in the head several times since he kept on stirring). Once they were ready to head back, Serana turned to Valta. "Alright, we'll drop these guys off, make our reports, and then eat as much meat as we can. Sounds like a plan?"

Valta sat there as Serana got up. She obviously didn't need any help, just a moment to recover from fight she had. She got Marco to wordlessly go off any get something for them to carry the people they needed to arrest. Once the chuckwagon arrived Valta helped get the various cuffed hippies in and secured. Thankfully Serana was still around to keep the big one from waking up, so Valta took it upon herself to keep an eye on the others. The last thing they needed were their arrestees to get free before they could hand them off. A disadvantage to the move from hunting to policing. An animal hunted for food could be killed as early as possible to avoid this kind of thing.

But those days were in the past, or at least less needed now. Now that the work was done she didn't have to do much more effort to get a good meal at the end of the day. Now that the Pirates were turned in Valta could take Serana up on that offer and eat as much meat as she wanted, eating probably a whole buffalo's worth of meat. Despite her small size she had a pretty big appetite.

Once the meat was vanquished Valta was about ready to turn in for the evening. Both of them had been through quite intense combat. Valta's was less than Serana's but the angry girl wasn't quite as tough as her superior officer either. Still, both of them had completed their mission and were in one piece, so that had to be worth something. Valta had survived being on her own for all of those years and she made it through another day, the endless rage burning inside of her continuing along with her. The work they had done today wasn't enough to make a scratch in that which formed her very being, even though it didn't get in the way of her getting a good night's sleep. A slow enough burning anger that it could be carried to tomorrow.
