Tremendous knocking noises would come from the second level of "The Dojo". This section of the vessel had been locked to everyone for the duration of the trip. Fudo would prevent Rain or Masa from entering or even attempting to enter. Here he would sort out his aggression, here he would do what he did best, train.

The big cat zoan was aboard a foreign vessel, one that he did not commission, steal, or earn. He was aboard a trophy; a prize for killing the 'famed' Kamina. A prize that was not his own. That being said, Fudo felt only malice. Within the second level of "The Dojo", Fudo sat in in the darkness, panting in excruciating pain. Within the blackness Fudo would wrestle with his thoughts. Many things had come to light in the recent days, most of which were shocking to say the least. For one, Rain was a distant relative, a distant relative that had broken him down once they met. Secondly, Fudo was not regarded as a full Saiken by his grandfather until he had received dna from Rain, which aided in his recovery.
Thirdly, he had no clue as to the whereabouts of his crew. Lastly, as usual, he was belittled. His own grandfather didn't recognize him, Kamina and his acquaintances didn't recognize him. They did recognize Rain, that man, with no fame or bounty to speak of, that man who pushed him to his limits. In the darkness of the room, there was a heavier shadow cast upon him, one that he could not remove with the flick of a switch, or the lighting of a lantern; it was the shadow Rain cast upon him.

The zoan always had to fight, now he had to fight with himself, with his ability to adapt and grow. Within the darkness of the second level, the zoan sat, surrounded by dozens of broken katana. All ones that had shattered while he attempted to cut the walls that made up this level. His bones were rattled, his skin cut all over, he even had shards of steel in bedded within his body, but he urged himself to not heal. He'd use this physical training to help him improve his katana slashes, and his control over his body.

"Rain, I don't need him, or anything he gives me. I'm better than that brat." He'd repeat this and similar saying to himself, either when he was relaxing or striking the rom, and the rooms equipment.

Only after his body was broken and pierced tremendously would he heal. After minutes of laying within the steel fragment covered floor, would he stand and continue. Grabbing more weapons and striking the room at every angle, as hard as he possibly could.

The ocean began to sway back and forth as the larger ship approached. The ship, now haven been taken from the former Legendary Swordsmen had great implication for Rain. Aboard the front of the ship, a single Samurai sat with loose fitting baggy pants and a simple T- shirt on which said "BLAM" on it. The blue T shirt was well fit and the black baggy pants were cuffed near the man's ankles where he wasn't wearing any type of foot covering. Instead, Rain sat with his hands on his knees Indian style at the front most of the ship. Behind him was the huge Dojo which was now devoid of anyone aboard the ship. The crew had been thrown out and there was simply the void of ship travel. Neither Fudo nor Rain knew how to properly operate the ship. However, there was enough background knowledge to where they would be able to get by. This ship was significant to the White Hair. It gave him a reminder of the style that he had inherited from Kamina; Shinsaido Iado.

He let out a soft sigh as his eyes were closed, the Depth Trailer rested on his folded legs as he placed the tips of his fingers together. He simply thought through the events that transpired. The wind blowing his bangs and long pony tail as he meditated.

Quote:

"What...did I just say...? I...don't want...to have to repeat myself again.." he said, simply, shaking his head as he reached down and grabbed his fallen weapon, before raising it above his shoulder, so that the other male could finally do what he said, and take it. "Now hurry and take this, before I get all emotional...It's getting really hard to settle myself, so I don't lay an egg here..." he said, again, shaking his head slowly as he shook the sheathed blade ever so slightly, sighing to himself. "May be time to retire the white and gold, eh?" he let loose an even deeper sigh, staring up into the sky, and realizing how much the lightheartedness was really effecting him; it was so bad, he was even starting to see a light, funny enough, as though he were looking towards the morning son in a clear sky. "...maybe...I can finally see my wife again.. I am definitely glad..you, too...have begun to see the light.." he said, then, and a breath escaped his body, deep and serene, before all light seemed to leave his eyes.

"K...K...Kamina!!!!"

Quote:

Masa naturally realised he would have to make the choice of living, which meant he then immediately ran through the entrance from which the two had appeared, past both Lance and Kamina's sister, yelling a warning,

"Kamina's dead! Kid, and wotan, if you wanna live, we gotta get the hell outta here! To Kamina's ship."

His eyes opened as he recalled the events that transpired. He took in another breath to be able to calm himself and think clearly once more. As it would turn out, the Depth Trailer was both the key and the master control of this ship. This area would be where Fudo and Rain would train their greatest army and themselves. The white haired man wanted nothing more than to become the King of Pirates. For this he needed the best of everything to keep the crew operational. They needed someone to be able to cook and navigate. He allowed himself to think and process the events which had transpired. The gargantuan ship began descending onto an island which came into view. There was the scent of rust present all over it. Rain's observative skills extended out towards the island attempting to feel out the presence of everyone on the island. Interestingly enough, it seemed this island was indeed devoid of too many 'stronger' people. This island however, was that of legend. The smell of Iron was indicative of this once rusted area where one of the most precious materials were found...Burdem. Soon, Rain and Fudo would have their newest and of the most legendary weapons.

The journey from Salt Island was a quiet one. Rain and Fudo had wasted no time in removing the entirety of Kamina's crew from the ship, leaving them marooned on Salt Island. The entire escapade that had occurred there had been burnt into the mind of the old man. He had come away from the meeting of such powerful forces, able to tell the tale to others. Few ever remained in such situations, which helped Masa to find some sort of comfort in the situation. He was a survivor. Understanding that he would have to stand up to scrutiny on his next project of smithing, the old man spent the journey in the smithy, on the third level of the ship, two floors below the main deck, where Rain had been spending his time looking at the sea.

For now, the old man expected Fudo to be in the arena, on the floor above him, due to his insatiable need for fighting. He was surprised he hadn't kept a few of the previous crew on the ship to use as bloodbags, or testing for his experimentation of fighting techniques. In anycase, Masa had placed his backpack down with all his utensils in the Smithy, and had begun his observation of the dynamics of the room, and the equipment that the legendary Kamina had been able to put together. First off, the room was quite large, and square shaped. The veteran smith pondered at the reasoning for its size and shape.

First, all forges needed a furnace, and this smithy had one in the centre of the room, so the heat radiated equally around the room, and was encased in what looked like layers of clay and what seemed to be a delicate balance of hafnium, nitrogen, and carbon, which formed a casing that prevented the heat of the fire from damaging the ship. Some pretty intense material crafting must have been performed here, at incredible heats to require that kind of consideration for the furnace. There were many pockets of different sizes within the casing too, all with sliding plates to close the gaps when not needed. This allowed for control and focusing of heating the metals or materials in use. Smart stuff. The old man was impressed.

There were racks around the outer walls of the room, of differing sizes for different weapons and objects. There were also frames which were used for clamping onto materials in order for specific techniques to be used on them too, as well as an acid bath for etching. So some stylish work was completed here too. To the side, there was some moulds that seemed to have been disused for a long time, and rightly so. In Masa's mind, moulds were only useful for making multiples of a simple object, and was surprised that they hadn't been dropped off or destroyed before. Finally, there were a series of quenching pots, of varying heights and girth. They seemed well used, and were just starting to show signs of age. Something that Masa would have to replace if he was staying for a lengthy period of time.

Having observed the room, Masa could now confirm that Kamina indeed had access to some decent tools, although there was space for improvement still. However, Masa would have to see the stores of materials that had been built up to see if he would need some new metal in order to create the work for Fudo.

The storage connected to the forge via a door on the opposite side of the room from where Masa entered, and upon entering, the smith was faced with a hall of pure steel, some slates of seastone, probably left over from use in forging parts for the rest of the ship, yet still usable, and some additional interesting materials, specifically a bag of red sand, and a section that read "Experimental metals". This piqued Masa's interest; his forte was innovative materials with multiple aspects to them. Pulling out the vial that he had collected with the blood of the body morphing assassin, he smiled,

"You shall live on. You may also save my life."

However, as the old man began to take a closer look, the ship stopped riding forward on the waves, something that Masa could feel due his long years on the sea. However, something was of more interest to the smith, the sound that the ship had made when it had stopped. It was more a clank, than a thud, a sound that was usually heard by metal bouncing off metal, a sound that Masa could now recognise if he were miles away.

"Hmm. We've made ground? No, that didn't sound like normal ground to me, it sounded more like metal........Rust Island?! Could it be?"

The old man left the storage room, the smithy, rose to the top deck, and looked out to observe if he had been correct. He had indeed, they had run aground on Rust Island. What luck! He could see that Rain was at the bowsprit of the ship, sat down in what seemed to be a meditative state. Looking over the banister and down to the ground below them, Masa could see that the wreckage of so many ships from the island's origin had left a reddish landscape, with some soil added, although it was likely silt that had been caught up in all the wreckage. It looked a strange island indeed, but it held Burdum, a metal that the old man was eager to explore and bend to his will.

"Perhaps this might not be such a bad adventure after all."

Slash after slash, each blade dulled and eventually shattered. Leaving more blood to streak down the beasts body, till blood filled in his torso. Shards of steel scattered across him, like ashes to the wind. The little light that did form when he struck the wall, made him appear like a far off galaxy moving through the darkness. Grunting as he did, the hair from his body would sweet over him, sweeping and pushing shards of metal from his skin. Then he'd reluctantly heal, in both of his hands he held katana that were shattered just centimeters from the handle. He'd toss them aside, and grunt once more. I'm always fighting, and never getting shit done. Never. What's so hard, huh? Why can't even the simplest things go my way. Why does my fucking life...I gotta keep trying...I can't let regular fucks just come into my way. I can't even let...Rain...get in my way, I don't need him...I don't need... Fudo glared at his healing arms, he could feel the tingling of his flesh as the small crevices came together. I don't need this shit, at all. The ship would shake and grind, as it came into contact with Rust Pit. Fudo could sense Rain, and Masa. Their presences, and his aboard the vessel irked him further.

I have to get a higher bounty...that old fuck better...who am I kidding,yo. I must be a joke. I might as well just stop training right now; for now. The big cat zoan would slowly walk towards a small locker located on this level. It was where he kept his things at the moment. While he was on the tournament ground, he was fighting almost entirely naked, considering that he didn't feel like putting on any clothing. The zoan would not leave the second level until Rain and the old were no longer there, he did not want to interact with either of them. Not now, not today.

Walking to wall transmitter that would transmit his speech to all the other floors, Fudo would press the button and speak into it with a heavy tone. "For fucks sake, did you have to fucking..." (Bzzt) "I'll meet you two fuck out there...later" (bzzt)

The sound of Fudo's voice rang throughout the Main deck, easily loud enough for even the hakama-wearing samurai to be disturbed. The old smith struggled to make much sense of what Fudo was saying, although he sounded pissed. Did he have the ability to show any other emotion at all? Perhaps Masa would find out, he thought. But then again, it wasn't his goal to be spending the rest of his life with these two, who at this point he considered his captors.

The smith took his time walking across the main deck, moving towards the young swordsman, observing and critiquing the ship's quality. Overall, the ship was seemingly in good shape, probably due to the fact that a lot of staff used to keep the huge cruiser in "ship shape". The masts and sails looked as good as new, in fact. In his observation of his new temporary home, Masa almost forgot his reason for walking to the front of the ship, before looking to see that he was right next to the swordsman. Trying his hardest not to flinch, but instead twitching for a second, the old man leaned to see if the swordsman was still in trance or not, before standing back up again, and leaning back against the banister.

"You never told me your name back on Salt Island. If I am to make something for you, I'm gonna need to know who I am making it for."

The old man would wait for an answer, wind slowly blowing through his white beard, and his silvery grey hair. The silence was interrupted though, as a small bang came from further inland, and then a chnnnk-ping!!! erupted from their position as a bullet hit Masa's legacy, sheathed on his back. The impact had no affect on the blade due to its material strength, however the force of the shot pushed Masa further on the deck, forcing him to stop himself from falling forward.

There was silence for a while, followed by another bang, this time aimed close to the samurai style swordsman, but Masa wasn't paying attention to what happened to him. The smith returned to the point where he'd been shot, and in a single motion leapt from the deck of the ship, down to the ground. When he landed, the metallic-rusty ground baulked at his weight and impact, sagging down, thus almost forming a sort of bunker which the others could jump down to if they wanted, although with the warping abilities of the samurai, he highly doubted that would be neccessary. Besides, Masa was having to look out more for himself than these others, for he was the weak one here, the one most susceptible to injury. Peeping above from his impromptu bunker, the smith kept a weary eye on where the shots were coming from.

A third shot was fired, this time Masa saw the flash, aimed again at the ship. It was coming from a building that had been built on top of what seemed like a hill made from the wreckage, with bits of ships rubble all over the place. At first it seemed odd, but then again, this must have been the equivalent of a beach for the island, and so of course there would be a rise or cliff, that was just erosion fact. Treating the terrain like a soldier on D-day, the old man took his chance to move closer to the marksman, before diving to another cover caused by a rather large anchor that had been left there, still rusting and now pitted from the oxidisation. The old man heard another shot, and Ping! of the bullet bouncing off the anchor, with a couple quieter clinks from bouncing off the ground a couple more times.

The fire was starting to bore Masa, who eyebrows noticeably furrowed. The smith took one last run at the house, climbing the rise from the beach rather quickly for one of his age, proving he had done things like this in the past, and barged through the door. Inside, the house was also made from mostly metallic things. The person living here may well have been a scavenger, but soon would be a dead one. The old man ran up the square stairs that the central room in the house was located, his zweihander now unsheathed, ready for its first taste of blood for the day.

"Come out you bastard!"

Shuffling barefoot into the lavatory archway, the long haired zoan lazily flicked a light switch; a bright light would flicker momentarily before stabilizing. Turning his head to his left, the zoan was quickly met with the startling appearance of a man; the man in the mirror. Attacking the man he saw entirely on instinct, the zoan rushed his reflection. Stopping just centimeters before creating an impact upon the reflection and his fist, the zoan halted. Freezing a moment as the slow realization that the bloodied, scarred, and violent individual he saw was none other than himself. Flinching, the zoan had a momentary feeling of shock, displeasure, and disgust. He could think back a full three years and remember a flashing smile that would greet him every day. Now he saw a deranged man, cobbled together with spare parts and worn flesh. He could see the eye that was granted to him by his Grandfather Saito, shimmering where his own eye had once been. Gritting his chipped teeth, the zoan felt a surge of blood rush through his body, a tremendous pulse.

He would recall the memories of looking at his reflection
reflecting on reflections of himself
Reflecting on his past discretions
his insatiable hunger for happiness and wealth
Now he was filled with a hunger for failure
a hunger to face a fate worse than the evilest evil
Intentions were good
but eventually became primeval
Was this coincidence or was it just his nature?

Slowly, the bloodied lump of flesh would descend to the tiled floor of the bathroom, smearing his life force across the tile. Falling to a knee, the zoan felt his wild hair begin to envelop him, the thick dark brown coating his red stained skin. With tremendous force he'd slam the bottom of a closed fist into the tile, shattering it completely. The force of the blow even had enough to shatter dozens of tiles beside him; the fragments spreading throughout the room. Glaring intently at the mirror Fudo began to hallucinate, the tremendous build up of mental stress had truly taken it's toll. Beside his downed figure in the mirror, he'd see dozens of figures, dozens of females and males, all ones who had passed before his eyes. He could clearly make out their faces, and recall his moments with them, but he couldn't recognize himself. Once again, he'd slam his his hand into the floor, this time, with his fist. He'd feel his hand jarred and achy from the force he exerted. Fudo had a tendency of loosing sight of himself in the shuffle of figures he though he should be, but now he seemed too foreign to even himself.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" After every grief filled roar, the zoan beat his bare fist against the floor. Casting a shadow into the emptied tournament grounds, the bare zoan's form erratically shifted. Single handed blows soon became accompanied by another, then in tandem the two hands would slam harder and harder until they dripped violently. Healing over and over as they were gashed the zoan wouldn't stop until he was sprawled over shards of tile and puddles of his own blood. Needless to say, the stress was getting to him. Heaving on the floor, the zoan glared back at his crumpled reflection, his blows had ended up cracking the very bottom of the mirror, distorting his face in the reflection. Laying on his right bicep, his forearm was lifted into the air like a dreary flower. Heaving, tears spilled from his face, colliding and mixing with the blood that coated him. He wasn't staring at himself, no, he was staring at the beast that remained.

As he laid upon the ground, he'd hear gunfire gunfire that'd ring in his ears, and through his memories. He'd remain still for now, allowing his greif to consume him, thinking Rain and Masa competent to handle themselves.

The White Hair would blink simply as he opened his eyes slowly. He noticed the older bearded man next to him. The man simply looked out towards the sea, the expression on his face seemed to be coming more to a cool down. In his mind, he had worked through his fight with Kamina, it seemed there was still much he had to workout. However, for the time being, it seemed to repress itself and he was now looking towards the bearded man. "Eh? Oh! I'm Rain!" he said with a wide eyed smile, he smiled at the man with a toothy grin. He didn't seem to have any sort of malice in his words; rather, he was actually genuine. It took a moment but Rain realized that the man had offered him to make a sword. "Ooooh! I see! Right! You're making me a sword right!?" Rain's expression shifted to excitement as he turned towards the man and lowered his head before looking up and smiling. "Thank you so much!!" he said as he offered the man a 'high five'.

It was then that he heard the buzzing of the monitor system. Turning back, he listened to hear Fudo speaking. "Yo, sounds good" He said back to him a bit loud as though he could actually hear him. The man turned to speak but it was then that a bullet had fired out towards Masa. Rain's brows furrowed as he looked over towards the man before turning back towards the direction of the shot. He was able to grasp the image of the shot being fired in just an instant. It was only his simple movement towards the right that caused the bullet to Swoooosh!!! by his right side, cutting a few strands of his hair. Yet another shot was fired towards the ship as Rain seemed angry now. "Don't fire on this ship! It's part of my precious treasure!!" He cried out towards the area of the gunfire. The man angrily fell forwards as though he were about to dive. "I'm going to go kick their ass!" Rain cried out as he began to fall forward, keeping his legs out from his initial sitting position. Bending his legs, he kicked off the inner part of the helm of the ship. A loud 'THUMP!!!' would be heard by Masa as the man disappeared at top speeds soaring through the air.

Silence met the old smith after his yell rang through the metallic house. Making his way into the first room after having climbed the stairs, Masa was to find the individual who had been taking the shots at the ship. They were covered in draping cloaks and a hood which shadowed the individuals head. The marksman held a rifle, waiting for the old man, and in reaction to Masa's entrance, had fired at near point blank range. Having had a moment to act, Masa brought his sword to good use, parrying the shot with the wide face of Legacy, causing the slug to ricochet, bounding around the metallic room, before one last ping as the bullet leapt past the smashed glass window where the marksman had a tripod, which he must have been using to balance his rifle while searching for a foe. I repayment for his rude interruption of the smith's discussion with the now known samurai, Rain, Masa swung at the marksman, who tried to parry with the butt of his rifle. The blade bit deeply into the oak stock, so deep that the force the marksman was using to hold his rifle up against the blade caused it to snap. His weapon now destroyed, the old man grabbed the marksman, and walked towards the broken window.

"You, sir, have some explaining to do. If you want to live, tell me why you shot at a ship so big?! You looking to start a fight?"

Masa could swear that he could hear something while he berated the marksman, but he wasn't too sure whether it was Rain, or Fudo. Had Fudo thought that the old man was trying to make an escape or something? Well, surely Rain would at least say that the shot didn't come from Masa.

The ancient zoan's feeling were powerful; overwhelming even. Glaring at the shattered image of himself, his body would begin to change. As he remained sprawled on the ground in from of his own image, the zoan would see his dark brown hair, envelops him, slowly covering his body, as though he were being pulled further into darkness. While morphing he recalled the feelings he had while facing Rain for the first time on Drum, he felt that unbridled rage. Though, unlike before, it was more finely focused upon himself, rather than the white hair samurai he had faced. Here, as he laid upon shattered tile and blood, his body was able to soak up his motions, he had a significant time to think to himself, to accept it all; and he did. He'd honed his rage, his grief, and his disappointment, and he'd take the monstrous form he had on Drum Island, though, now it was fully under his control. Staring at the darkened mass, the pirate would slowly rise, using limbs created of his hair to push him to his feet. He'd stare at his reflection for a solitary minute, gazing at any imperfection or distasteful motion his hair formed. From within the form, he'd grin, all his ill emotions wiped away, as though none of the previous dramatic moments occurred.

"Kamina, he had only ten million more bounty than me. Then, Rain managed to scrub him from the world of the living." After his comment, the zoan would hear his voice, it was much deeper than usual, almost demonic. His grin would widen. "If Rain, or anyone is going to think that I'm not a huge threat, I'll just have to show them. Anyone who has a bounty near or around me will be fair game, I'll have to show the world who is the strongest pirate who sails the sea! I'll have to show everyone...why call myself immortal." Swiftly turning from the damaged bathroom, the ancient zoan would make a direct route to Tyche, which he had laid out in the massive tournament room. After that, he'd make his way out of the second level, and to the deck. Once there he'd spot masa holding a man beside a window, it appeared Masa was having some struggle. The now 8 foot mass of brown hair would glare up at Masa with it's golden and crimson eyes, "Is this how swords are made Masa! Is this what you've been wasting time on!" Fudo spoke in a loud tone, that was more akin to mocking than aggression.

The angry man

Finally, the sound made its identity known, Fudo. The nutcase whose only interest was killing, or kidnapping people who could make something for him. The old man's demeanour turned visibly sour at even hearing the despicable creature murmur, let alone shout at him. However, the aura from Fudo seemed different, as though he had changed a little. Still as angry, still as ready to kill people, but physically different.

Masa had no more time for questioning, and so decided to make an example of the man, to try to help Fudo understand that Masa was capable of some evils too. With a cold emotionless face, the old smith ignored what his captor had said, deciding instead to slam the marksman's body down into the bottom frame of the smashed window, with the sharp glass remains stabbing through the back of the victim. The old man pushed down so hard with this move, that the 7ft man broke the back of the marksman, who began screaming. But that wasn't it, grabbing the two arms of the marksman, the old man put his foot on his targets chest, and then pulled both the arms, until they were ripped fom the shoulder. Blood spattered everywhere, the marksman had blacked out from the pain, and the blood loss meant that he was pretty much dead already. With a bloodcovered face, the old man then turned his attentions to the man/thing outside,

"If you keep questioning me, you'll get nothing. Kill me right here if you don't like my methods. You should have the brains to know that I am looking for the Burdem here, because it could be used in your blades. But a fuckwit like you probably doesn't know his arse from his elbow, so I guess I should expect this."

The old man stepped and dropped out the window, standing up to the strange form that had become of Fudo. He was unsurprised to see a monstrous form before him, it was almost what his inner thoughts of Fudo had come to materialise,

"You want to know why you get no respect from people? Cause you don't give any respect. So, you want a sword? What material? What effect do you want it to have? What size? What purpose? How do you fight? Do you want a sheath, or not? How do you want the sword balanced? What about it's shape? Where shall we get the materials? How long should I spend on all these questions? As long as is necessary to get the right answers. I didn't spend the journey here jerking off to some rusty metal. I know what that smithy is capable of, and what we have access to. What did you do while we were on ship? Oh yeah, beat the shit out of the yourself and the dojo. I heard the noises. Sounds like I got more work done that you think."

Masa would bark back as quickly as he was barked at, Fudo expected this much from the man. So, when the old smith would begin to mouth off, Fudo would genially not take it any way. He'd brush off the old man, his mind was set on something more than obtaining respect from the haggard blowhard. He was intent, on dealing with Rain. Ignoring the first statements made by Masa, the fur covered Zoan looked left and right for Rain. Internal he would be thinking about his previous bout with the man and his desire to get some retribution for his previous failure. Oh shut the fuck up you sack of shit, before I go up there and snap those brittle bones and shove them up your ass! The big cat zoan though t himself as he glanced, from within the immense fur he grinned widely to himself. It was a genuine grind that would show outwardly, as fur moved from his mouth to show his pearly whites. Moving slight;u forward to peer from the ship, his forward progression would be halted by Masa, who was now a comfortable foot shorter than Fudo. This sudden appearance would cause the zoan to abruptly shift all his attention to the smith, his eyes glaring, and his smile vanishing from behind the darkened fur.

The man, would speak, and Fudo would seemingly listen. He'd make no sudden moves, even his hair which was moving freely would stop, as though he were frozen in place. He'd remain still mostly, until about partway through Masa's rant. His hear would begin to waft in the air once more, even flicking a bit out of irritation. Once Masa would finish speaking, Fudo's eyes would block once or twice, the golden and crimson orbs appeared similar to two suns in the vacuum of space. Without saying a word, Masa would be struck with a strong wave of Conquerors haki, Fudo would focus the entirety of is will down upon Masa. Then, as he did so, he'd get between inches of the man, as he approached, he'd lean forward, having his face come mere nanometers from Masa's. He'd speak, in a low toned voice, "You old fool, I don't need your respect, or anyones respect! I don't do what I do for respect, I do it for survival and for fame! What you will give me has nothing to do from what I want from Masanori the man, it has to do with Masanori the artist. You are not alive because I want you alive, you are alive because of your works, because you want to live. If you have decided to make this difficult, then I want you to remember that you did this to yourself! If you don't like what happened to you, don't be mad at me, be mad at yourself you old fuck!" Fudo would speak in a matter of fact way, in his mind he spoke truth.

"If you want to fuck around with my kind attitude, then I must urge you to kill yourself before you do anything to anger me. There are things worse than death old man, and if you haven't come to realize that in your old age, then I will show you the horrors life hold for us all...what do you think?" Fudo would then move backward from the man, and look back up toward the tower, his facial expression would change, and his grin would return from the pitch blackness that shrouded him.

"It looks to me that you killed the guy without even getting any information; just to look tough? I'm not scared or intimidated by anyone, and you wasted time. Old man, you've got two days to produce something worth my time, or that bit of mercy I showed the artist will have gone to waste. Two days." Fudo would look at Masa after some glaring at the tower, then away, his mind would be set on Rain once more. Hopefully was a would see that Fudo hadn't answered his questions, so, he'd likely have to ask again.

Once more, the old man came under the effects of Fudo's haki, reduced again to just the ability to speak. There was a quick berating of the old man, and a reminder that he had gotten into this mess because of his lack of will to take the punishment. His realisation made him say something else,

"Can you stop playing with your new toy please? You want me to bleed so badly. Well then, take a shot now, hit me! Do me a favour and cut off my head, arms, legs and be done with it. I did what I did to fulfil a duty, and to survive, but I failed at both, and this is not worth it. I know all too well that capture is worse than death, to have choice taken away from you. You will come to learn that all people are fools in this world, even yourself. I wonder what fuck ups you made to become who you are. How many times you died to learn how to survive. Here, let me help you."

The old man had been broken, his mind now snapped, as though he had had enough of all the craziness. The old man drove legacy through his own stomach, wincing slightly as the cold blade drove itself between his organs. The old man pushed until the hilt had stopped against his skin, still standing, and smiling while blood dripped from the side of his mouth, the old man almost began to laugh,

"Ah! This pain. So reminiscent, so familiar. Let me tell, I've been dead for many years."

As Fudo glanced about, the haggard man would speak firmly and call his attention. With interest in what Masanori was to say, Fudo would simply stare at the man, and see what he would say. Masa would speak about choices being taken away from ones self, to have made mistakes that lead misfortune, to be powerless. These were things that would bypass the shell that encased the beast, and spoke to the man that he once was. Fudo, being a man of immense and sometimes uncontrollable emotion, would internally react to these words. He had felt these feelings before, many times of his life, and even now, he had the feeling of an overbearing evil looming over him. He was now that figure to Masanori. Realizing this, Fudo would remain silent, as the man continued. Moment's later to his surprise, he'd see Masa impale himself with his own blade. Seemingly doing so to escape his own fate, startled by the image for a moment, the Zoan nearly flinched at the sight, before feeling a bit dreary. His eyes would still radiate as they focused upon the suicidal smith. Seeing that Masa would be near death, and do it in such a manor appeared honorable to the pirate. A man who knew his options were limited, chose to go out on his own terms. Food would then cease his life return form all together. His hair would retract back to the back of his head, and he'd slowly lose the height he had gained. Now standing in front of Masa, as bare as he could be, the ancient loan spoke.

"So familiar, huh? Masanori, I can't say I disagree with you, and what you've decided to do. I've thought about doing the same for a long time. This pain...and you're still standing. You'll face death on your own terms, this is something that I'll respect." Food now smaller than the old man in hight, looked up to Masa, he did so stone faced, but his glare almost held some warmth to it, as though it were admiration. Though, Fudo would not say or do more. Slowly, the man would place his hand on Tyche, simply to place it there, not for any other reason. "You know, from man to man, the seas have a way of killing who you are, and everything you were. From one dead man to another, I hope you can find peace in these last few breaths."

The reaction of Fudo made the old man burst out laughing, spitting blood when he did so. Taking his time, Masa slowly gripped the hilt of his sword, and pulled his legacy back out of himself, leaving a visible hole in the man. Taking a while to breathe the metallic iron taste of blood filled his lungs. It was an oddly sharp smell. Finally the timer had started. He didn't have long to do whatever it was he needed.

"I didn't do this for you, or myself, I did this for my legacy. For as long as my work lives, I still live. Hopefully there may be stories about us in the times to come. You are still an asshole, though. Even still, I owe you a sword, at least, from one failure to another."

Looking at his sword, he knew what he would have to do. The burdem wasnt going to be able to be found in time, so his legacy would have to be melted down and used in the process. The seastone would be a good addition to any sword, and then there was some wapolmetal potentially in the experimental materials section. He had his idea sorted, almost as though he knew it from the start,

"You will receive half of my legacy, your friend the other. You will represent two facets of myself, with you, the anger, and with Rain, duty."

The dying man began walking back to the ship, ready to finish his story. Ready to begin smithing.

"Eh? Where am I..."

Rain questioned himself as he scratched his head. In his haste, he seemed to have pushed out further than any human possibly could have done. Coincidentally, he landed somewhere near a pit with a pile of junk all around. So this was the island known as Rust Pit Island eh? Cool! Rain looked around, folding his hands together before taking a walk . Click...Click...Click His geta would hit metallic objects as he looked around with his mouth open in an "o". He seemed to be venturing out into territory he hadn't seen before. "Ooooooooo" he said childishly as he inspected the myriad of rusted treasure that was in the scrap yard.

"Oi you there, boya" an old man cried out. "Eh?" Rain turned towards him as he blinked. "Ah, yes you! You seem to have a fine eye! Would you be in town to purchase any of my fine goods?" He said with a smile. Rain blinked looking over at a very old man. He had a long white beard and was completely bald. He wore nothing but rags and had dusty items all around him. There were spoons, rusted swords, shields with cracks on them and a multitude of other useless items.

"Ooooh! Ossan! Do you have any armor for sale!? I'm going on an adventure!" Rain said with a characteristic smile followed by his signature 'Shehaha' laugh. He had a spark in his eyes as he began walking forward towards the older man. The older man slowly scratched his forehead as he looked up at the boy. "Oh? An adventure eh? Sounds dangerous boy! Where are you headed?" he questioned. "The New World to become Pirate King!" Rain said enthusiastically. There was a silence for a moment before the man burst into laughter. "Oh yeah? Pirate King! That's a great title! How about it then? I have some premium armor for you!" the man said enthusiastically. Rain smiled widened. "R-Really old man!?" He said as he raised his fists up in excitement. The man nodded and gave Rain a 'one second' finger.

He went back into his hut and rolled out what appeared to be traditional Samurai Style Armor. "Worn by the thirteenth king of the Wano Country, Edo period...lost era! So if you ask about it, no one will know! This is the most expensive armor in these parts. Theres rumor that a demon possessed this armor and was worn by..eh..what did you want to be again?" The man asked. "Pirate King". Rain answered back. -Right! The Pirate King eh...Donkey F. Doofy? Eh..something like that! Yes! 100% this is the truth! This was crafted from pixie dust and fairy powers! Whooa! Such a steal! IT can be yours for only..only ::beli:: 22,000,000!!" the man said enthusiastically. He was clearly lying. However, this was Rain we were dealing with.

"P-P-P-..PIRATE KING DOFFY WORE THIS!?"

Later...

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

There were loud thumps that emitted from the sky as a 'CRASH' came down onto the ship where the two were. Standing erect with his arms folded was Rain wearing a full body suit of Armor. Full with every piece of equipment. The Traditional Japanese Style kind! It possessed a Kabuto to protect Rain's head along with a marking of maedate upon the crown. The traditional Do covered Rain's body along with Kusazuri that hung from the underneath to protect his sides and front of his body. At the end of these were also Haidate, which seemed to be for guarding in additional to the fact of the Kusazuri. There were many kinds of feather/ cloth upon his clothing as a decoration. The watagami on the sides of the 'pads' of Rain's clothing. In addition, Sade are on the sides of his arms up to the elbow. Beneath this was a layer of Kote which protect his forearms. At these end of these are the Tekko which guard the man's hands. On the lower half of the man's body are Hakama and Suneata which protected his lower body. On the lower end of his body as well he wore his Geta which elevate him and protect his footing. Lastly, there are three Drums present upon the man's back. These drums each have writing on them and signify different things. Each drum said a different thing. The Drums were labled:

  • 生活 -Seikatsu: "Life"
  • 間で - Ma de - Literally meaning "In-Between".
  • 死- Shi - "Death"

"YO! Foodo! Look what I got! Shehahah!" Rain laughed like a child. "It's cool right!? You're jealous right?!" He chuckled some more before turning towards the old man and pointing to where he was. "Oi, what happened to Ossan?" He questioned. "did you fall and hurt yourself?" He said blinking. It was then that he realized Fudo's form. "Agh!!! You're that cat monster again!!" He said pointing to him after a delayed reaction.
