OOC The orange hair looked on towards the woman whom was standing before him along with the others he hadn't known. His line of sight was focused upon them yet his hand was still shaking. His heart rate began to race as he felt the sensations around him quickly take over. Did he really die..., the thought kept creeping into Trevelyan's mind. He wasn't fine, anyone coudl tell by looking at his demeanor that he seemed to be shaking a bit, difficulty swallowing, and his breathing seemed a bit irregular. He tried to focus, narrowing his eyes, yet no form of Haki would manifest itself. Why.., were the thoughts at the back of his mind. He attempted to focus and clear his mind so the intuitive force would slowly manifest itself and allow him to see beyond what was normally seen. However, his raging emotions did not fully allow him to focus..it scared him. He didn't speak much, but look onwards at the potential attacks that were raining down. The orange hair seemed to be too weak, his own emotional state being his weakest point. It wasn't until a moment later that he felt something appear behind him. There was a familiar voice which filled his thoughts, why would he be here once more? Trevelyan's carefree attitude had shifted a bit. His eyes did not hold the same feeling as they once had...they were dull. As he turned, he looked onwards to see the large Cat Zoan who had trained so long ago. Fudo? But why? he questioned himself. It was only a moment but he felt the man grasping at his hoodie and dragging him. Trevelyan didn't resist the pull, he was far too spaced out to feel anything at the moment. It was then that they pushed past the tree line appearing further away from the others. The orange chef attempted to compose himself. His signature cigarette was missing, having fallen out from before. The alcohol he had was no longer able to be consumed due to his shaky hands. He attempted to focus upon the others to no avail. He knew he wouldn't be of any use and Cynthia was more than enough to shield those people...whomever they were. "Fudo...why are you here once more?" Trevelyan questioned as he stood with his shaking hand in his pocket. "I had thought you had been long gone since having been here. He appeared composed, but his composure didn't seem so strong. If Fudo were to look into his eyes, he would see something akin to sadness, especially with his level of observation haki. The orange hair stood, awaiting the man's response. All the while, his heart was racing and his mind was beyond cloudy. It felt as though the orange chef was out of his own body and looking down at himself as the events unfolded; the Chef was beyond shaken. Edited by ShadowBlade, Mar 17 2016, 10:23 PM.

Trev would questions Fudo's reasons for being upon the island, something that Fudo himself was doing now. He'd lost Koga upon this island, and lost both Ryuuchi and Godric and Wave some where off of the coats of Little Garden. Under his watch four members of his crew would vanish without much chance of finding them again. Each of these men either swore their allegiance to the big cat zoan upon this island, swore to work with him, or swore to wait there for him. The circumstance of his appearance on the island aggravated the martial artist, but he did what he could to hide his emotions. It's be hard to do since Fudo was notoriously bad at prevent his emotions to show up upon his face. Looking at the orange haired man, Fudo could sense some emotional disturbance that he had never felt prior. Fudo was a bit put off by what he felt considering it was so uncharacteristic of Trev, the emotions felt caused the powerful zoan to take a step or two away from his haki teacher. Taking a deep breath the ancient zoan looked at Trev and tried to not blurt out what he had just experienced. "Uhhh, a lot has happened to bring me back here man, Like, yo, a lot of fucking shit. I left with the crew awhile ago, but a lot has happened since then, long story short, I ran into someone I think you know. HE asked me to come here and he gave me this...I don't know what exactly is in it...but if you know it's a bomb or some shit...just let me know, okay?" Fudo would reach into his pockets and would present the envelope and map to Trev. The martial artist looked at the man a bit confused, and he'd just happen to let out a question in a low tone, "What about you, Trev, what's, what's wrong?" The orange hair looked towards the man with sunken eyes. He didn't speak much, but let the awkward silence settle in as he listened to Fudo. He gave no response until the man presented him with something. He looked towards at the strange colored envelope. Grasping it, he pulled it towards himself and inspected it. He looked up at Fudo who seemed to be cautious of it. "You can view this telegraphed by focusing upon it. Haki can alert you to danger as well. You'll only have a second, focus upon my movements. If you sense danger..move. I will do my best to do so as well" He spoke as he looked up towards the man. There was something about the way he stood which screamed that he was fine even if it was an explosion. Something had caused him to become fallen, it showed in the way his body sagged and didn't hold any sort of attention. He breathed deeply and squinted his eyes at the envelope. He smirked a bit as he held onto the envelope edge. Without hesitation, he flipped it open...nothing happened. It seems I can't still use observation haki.. he thought to himself as his smile diminished. Before he opened the note, he heard Fudo ask him what was wrong. His hand stopped short of grasping the note before pausing for a moment; that was when the shaking began once more. He cleared his throat to through the silence. Not looking up towards Fudo, he spoke. "Fudo, have you ever lost someone precious to you? Someone you truly care about?" The man spoke in a matter of fact sort of way. He sighed as he looked up towards the man, still holding the open envelope in his hand. "It is so for myself. I hadn't told you this, but before you met me, I was what they would call a revolutionary. After the death of my beloved childhood friend, I raged war against the military..i destroyed so many lives and in the end, I lost more people" He said with sadness present in his eyes. He wasn't shaking anymore, but his body was weak and everything about him seemed the same...weak. "Once again, I have let someone die before my eyes. People continually die around me...I let someone naive traveling with me die Fudo..it isn't as though I wanted to...but I have made a terrible mistake" He sighed. "I..feel its time for me to wander once more. I apologize for putting this burden on you, its just..this happened only moments ago. Anyway...this letter" He said with a sigh as he looked down towards the piece of paper in his hand. Pulling it out he unfolded it. His eyes scanned quickly through it before a look of being taken back was present on his face. He sighed before he looked up at the man. "Fudo, the den den mushi" He spoke. If Fudo had given it to him, he would begin to dial the number. "What do ya fucking want?" "Yellow seeded nuts", Trevelyan answered in a sort of matter of fact sort of way. "Eh? So you're still alive huh? That's good to hear." Hoenheim spoke from the other end of the line. "For now.." Treveleyan said disheartened. "anyway, Rain finally started to come about. I know you two had a history together but I can't be seen with that kid..you know what he is Trevelyan..." Hoenheim spoke. "Yeah...I do", he sighed. "I can't baby sit him anymore Hoenheim. It...isn't in me anymore. It hasn't stopped..the deaths" "That's the burden of 'D.'. You know that Rain is much worse...If its true..he'll bring another storm..one unlike any we have seen before" the man said in a sort of matter of fact sort of way. Trevelyan sighed for a moment. He looked up towards Fudo, "Hold on a moment" "Er, actually you hold on a moment T-bag. Let me talk to that other cat. He's listening yeah? Tell him the treasure is at 24.5 north, 180.1 south just off the coat of Samadara" "You told him about that?" Trevelyan questioned. "I had no other choice. Anyway, yeah I'll hold" Hoenheim spoke. Trevelyan looked up towards Fudo before speaking to him. He held the den den mushi in his right hand, there was a cigarette in his mouth that was now smoking. The orange hairs eyes were now filled with some sort of emotion; though faint. He cleared his throat as he pressed a button to mute the microphone. "Fudo...would you do me a favor?" Trevelyan asked the man. |

Sand kicked up as Max charged towards the assumed safety of the dense foliage. His legs pumped as they carried him closer and closer to survival. There was a song ringing in the back of his head, but the terror in his heart shook it out of his mind. The gunshot from before had awakened memories of his enforced stay on the United Teriyaki States; bullet wounds had been one of the less painful experiences. He spun around to make sure that Coralia was actually following him, but what he saw shocked him. Instead of running for safety the mermaid was still where he had left her; singing. Did she really believe that a prayer was going to save her from a bullet, an actual metal bullet. He couldn't believe her naivete, then again he couldn't believe many things about her. Backpedalling towards the forest Max watched in disbelief as another gunshot cracked through the silence, followed by a clang as the woman who liked conversation too much stepped in front of the projectile. Are you kidding me? The pirate was shocked that Coralias faith had once more been met with miraculous results. Bloody favoritism from a supposed diety upstairs. Along the stretch of ocean before the ship Max could see many boats chugging towards the beach. His mind was whirling with thoughts and because of that he was no longer paying attention to picking his feet up. His foot hit a half buried log, he didn't even have time to curse as he was sent sprawling backwards. With his momentum he was sent tumbling into the cover of the foliage; finally coming to a halt below a large fern. His body may have stopped its chaotic spinning, but the same didn't ring true for his mind. He was weighing his choices, he could go back out there and fight with Coralia and the lady to fend off the murderous pirates. That scared him, these guys were monsters, they killed their own men in a moment, what would they do to a man who didn't have a bullet headbutting body guard. He knew what he had to do. He picked himself up off the ground, keenly aware of the array of new scratches on his body. He could go out there now, just a few steps. He could stand beside them against this wave of evil; fight shoulder to shoulder with them. As one of them. Protecting and protected. Tears leaped to his eyes as he turned away from the scene of the two woman standing before the approaching horde. It wasn't his place to be there. Coralia had found herself a new protector, and despite what he felt he had to admit she was likely a better one as well. The mermaid had made her choice even if she wasn't aware of it, she had picked this new woman over Max; peoples true feelings were shown during times of stress and she had bet it all on the newcomer. It hurt. The pirate was surprised by how deep this cut him, how far the pain actually went. Taking that first step into the woods was one of the hardest things he'd done, but after that his footfalls sounded faster and faster as he tried to outrun his sadness and his disgust. As he ran his mind refused to stop picking at the raw wound of his emotions. The person he had stayed alive for to protect, had not listened to him as he tried to protect her. The person who had unknowingly saved his worthless life had a new project to work on. A new prospect to cultivate. He didn't know how long he ran for, but eventually he collapsed onto a stump with his head cradled in his arms as he tried to catch his breath. Barely keeping a handle on his tears. |

Still a bit stiff from sleeping on a wooden vessel, Fudo flexed his chest a little as he nodded at Trev. If he noticed anything odd, he'd make sure to just use his 'Quick Silver' Technique and escape. Oddly, the ancient zoan felt an emotional pull toward Trev, his mentor. The depressing aura surrounding the man began to bring out similar emotions in him. Fudo's excited demeanor began to shift, his sharp looks dulled and his natural grin faded. Trevelyan would begin to speak about his past, something he had refrained from doing ever since they had met. Fudo began to feel a bit cold, what was being spoken about was truly saddening, the things spoken about reminded Fudo of who he had lost. Fudo did what he could to contain his emotions, and would oblige his teacher as much as he could. But Fudo decided to refrain from speaking and only grunted and nodded at Trev's questions. Passing the man the den den, Fudo would simply wait for the response from 'Helios' Hoenheim, and Trev. Tuning out his environment, the big cat zoan shifted his body slightly so that his face would be looking towards some foliage just a few feet before him. There he'd witness a small group insects moving in line behind a 'leader' insect. Damn, all of this shit is annoying. I set out wanting to be like that little fuck right here, but I can't seem to even keep myself straight. All this negativity sucks ass, Trevelyan has me thinking about all the people I've let down. What the fuck... Closing his eyes for a moment, the big cat zoan would begin to sigh heavily. He'd came to Trv in the hopes of something to distract him from his emotions, not amplify them. It'd be a a few moment's before Fudo would respond to Trev, the ancient zoan would do what he could to not intrude on the conversation, but still heard some bits and pieces. Turning to Trev the big cat zoan had to shift his attention from the insects. In a hard toe Fudo would reply, "What do you need?" Edited by Fudo Saiken, Mar 20 2016, 07:40 PM.

OOC The orange hair looked on to the Zoan with sunken eyes. There was a moment of silence as he had pressed the 'mute' on the den den mushi. With a sigh, he closed his eyes and began to rub both of his temples with his left hand; stretching it out so he could think clearly. A moment later, he looked towards Fudo with his dark green eyes. There was still clear sadness within it, but there was also some sort of determination within it. "I do not wish to waste your times with stories, but I require you to listen to this one; my apologies in advanced." The man's hand reached over and grasped the cigarette from his lips so he could inhale a large puff with his eyes closed. He blew out a moment later, letting the smoke simply seep out of his mouth before blowing it out in to the right. With his eyes opened once again he began speaking. "It was probably a quarter of a century now that this story took place. In the East Blue, a child was born into this world unlike ones before. On his birth, its said that he had used Conquering Kings Haki. Wherever this boy goes, misfortune follows him. He has something that they call the "Will of D.". I cannot tell you more about this, though know that people are born with this will." The man sighed as he took another puff of his cigarette, keeping his eye contact with Fudo. "I myself possess this lineage and I do not know much about it. It seems we are not bound by blood but it somehow manifests within us upon birth. It is said that we are enemies of the 'gods' of this world. A storm follows us wherever we are. For myself, I had taken down an entire countries militant force, leaving death in my wake." The man stumbled a moment as the memories came back. He closed his eyes a moment, placing his palm on his head for just a moment. Clearing his throat, he spit in the opposite direction before taking another quick puff then exhaling out. "Now, you may be asking what this story has to do with you. You see, this boy is foretold to bring about a storm unlike any we have ever seen. Because of this, we are seeking to protect this boy. If he lives, he could very well put an end to the established oppression and bright about a new age...but this is all speculation; even the stories as his kings haki may be just exaggeration. However.." Trevelyan trailed off for a moment. "We have put our hopes on this 'secret' weapon. All of us attempting to reach the same goal and swearing not to tell others. The problem is, none of us can protect him any longer. Helios cannot be seen with a pirate, I myself no longer have any will to go on; hell..I can't even protect those I am traveling with. Hugh..we do not know where he is.." the orange chef spoke with a sigh once more; his mood really did seem off as he spoke. "This is where you arrive Fudo. Everything I have taught you, I know whats in your heart. Your desire, your will, your passion is unlike any I have encountered before." the man said sincerely. "If you wish to ascend beyond others, if you wish to bring about another age, and if you wish to become great...this perhaps may point you in the right direction. This may be the current needed to propel yourself." Trevelyan said. "Moreover, I am trusting you with something dear to me. I do not know what lies ahead for me. However, for you, I know you wish to conquer this world. I sincerely believe that he and you can bring another Era. Please Fudo, find him and make sure he lives. This may be my last request as your teacher.." The orange hair trailed off for a moment as he held the Den Den mushi. He looked towards Fudo, not wanting to pressure him. "You are free to do as you like but please..tell no one of this" the orange chef pleaded. |

Fudo let out a big sigh, he looked over to the leopard zoan, staring into his green eyes, ancient zoan would speak "Yea, I suppose I can spare some time, for now." Fudo was a bit ticked off, perceiving the story to be some sad sob story that would make him feel even crappier, but he'd turn to the man fully, and show his mentor some respect. Trying not to scowl or seam too displeased, he'd calmly listen and wait. The story would rag on, about lineage, about a powerful boy that was to bring a new age. Fudo knew of linage and loss, they were the two biggest influences in his life. But Trevelyan being unable to cope with his sadness. This irked Fudo a bit more, the coldest most emotional man, the person who taught him, was as weak as him. The world had a way of breaking people down, Fudo, these people with the lineage of "D." they all seemed to deal with strife and sadness. Glaring at Trev, Fudo would begin to lash out a bit. "Yo, are you serious? You are going to get all into your emotions and teary eyed over a few deaths? Trevelyan, my entire time on the sea has been nothing but death and strife! Even now, I've lost three members, four members of my crew in the past two months, the rest of them are hundreds of miles away! There isn't anything here for me but loss and suffering. You've seen into my heart, huh? You've seen that I'm capable of great things? Ugh..." Fudo began to pace, he was growing frustrated, more frustrated that he had been before. He was frustrated in himself, in his circumstances, and the burden of life. Just mentioning his sadness to 'Helios' and then Trevelyan made the zoan feel a great loss within him. Something he had repressed for some time. The ancient zoan would stop pacing, at turn to Trev, he'd then quick rush to the man, getting within one foot of him; he'd snarl. "Yo, I'll do this favor for you, not because of your linage, not because of wanting to be great. I'll do it just as you asked, a last favor for my teacher. Look at me, look at me! Nothing has been handed to me here, almost everything I've had has been robbed from me; I carry hundreds of lives on my back! The shit that happened to you was rough, well fuck, look at my body, I'm fucked too! You can't live in your sadness Trev, you can't let you family name drag you down. You gotta live for yourself; fuck the past, man. I'll do this favor for you, I'll do it, just, don't let the dead control your life, alright?" Fudo would speak with both of his fasts balled up, he had the full intention of striking the man, but did not. What he felt was just a reflection on himself, he felt weak, he felt like death followed him, he felt like he was on a course of unfathomable misfortune, mostly because he was. "Don't worry about any of this, just point me in the direction of my treasure and this kid. You won't have to worry about it at all." |

The orange hair simply listened to the words of the Zoan. His eyes seemed a bit more lively yet distance at the same time. The orange chef was taken back by the entire outburst. He could have felt this if his Haki were actually present. However, it felt like he couldn't fully feel this man's heart..or anyone at this point. He stayed quiet for the most part, his eyes simply narrowing upon the man. He attmpted to focus upon him but he couldn't do much more. He sighed for a moment before cracking at least a somewhat half smile which faded a moment later. "It seems like you have been through a lot Fudo...I'm sorry to hear that. You are right, we cannot let these deaths affect us. However, we cannot forget those that have fallen either. Strength is being rebuilt...stronger than before. You do not build upon a weak infrastructure, if you continue to do so..it will crumble" He said as his eyes were focused upon the man. He stayed silent a moment as to let his words sink in. The cigarette smoke slowly rose from his cigarette as the man peered through the martial artist. "Accept what you have lost and your own weakness. Be sad, be weak, acknowledge your faults. I cannot imagine what you have been through, but its time you accept everything. You've let people down and you and I are only human..we cannot prevent death. You have been beaten down by life..but it isn't about survival any longer. However, you must repent..." the man paused a moment to catch his breath. "Fudo do you understand? Once you no longer bare that burden..you will be set free." The man looked intently upon the Zoan. He had spoken longer than he had intended to but his words were from his heart. "For all the wrongs that have been done to you, that is unforgivable. However, you mustn't be robbed of your humanity..your pride..your strength!" once in a long while, the orange hair was showing some sort of real emotion. "Let this be your repentance Fudo. The lives you've let be lost...hundreds..now save the lives of billions! Destroy them Fudo...all the people who have oppressed you and who will oppose in the future. Let no one feel the way you've felt.." the man said with his sharp eyes. He smiled, an odd thing for him to do. He even began to chuckle as Fudo said his last words. "hahaha..." he said with a sigh of joy; something he hadn't done in a long time. He rose his fist up in a balled fashion for a fist bump. "It's a promise Fudo, I promise I will continue to better myself if you promise me you will take care of him for us. Do we have a deal?" "You guys done sucking each other off?" the voice came from the den den. "Yeah, sorry" the orange hair said as he removed his finger from the mute button. "Fudo will take over my job". Hoenheim was quiet for a moment before speaking once more. "Fine, I trust your judgement and shit. Anyway, stop slacking. You listening cat? Sail west from your location. I can see where you're at right now. You'll encounter an island called Drum, its a cold fucking place so wear a jacket." Trevelyan looked towards the Zoan, lowering his fist afterwards. "He'll be a bit difficult, known that he isn't the easiest person to deal with..the name of that man is...Rain SK D. Waters JaggerJohnson, a long name I know. Be careful on your journey Fudo. I myself need...rest. I will be sailing back to cactus. I too need time to rebuild." He smiled towards the man in a genuine way. "Thank you..Fudo" "Yeah..thanks I guess" After a quick sigh, the man looked out towards where his former crew would be. He mouthed something akin to 'stay alive'. With another long winded sigh, he turned to Fudo and gave him a quick wave; turning off the den den mushi. Sliding his hands into his pockets, he walked towards the forest. The silhouette of his figure slowly fading into the jungle until it was nothing more than just leaves...Trevelyan D. Devereux had chosen to leave. OOC

Calming down a bit, Fudo began to see a of Trev he hadn't seen before. Trev seemed cynical and emotional, he even urged Fudo to destroy all those that opposed him. What his teacher was saying was out of character but it fell in line with Fudo's own emotions. Reachign over to his den-den mushi, Fudo would calmly take it from the leopard zoans hands and speak into it, "Yea, yeah, I'll go find this guy, and find my reward. See you around Helios." He'd click the den-den abruptly after. Looking into the green eyes of Trev, he'd speak one last time. "I appreciate what you've done for me. The training and the honesty now, all of it. I'll keep getting stronger, and I'll make sure to find this Rain kid, I hope this all helps out, and I hope to see you around one day." Fudo would turn around and begin walking into the brush, "After a few months on Cactus pick up a paper, I promise you'll see me there, Kehahahaha!" He'd turn and grin to the man as he faded into the lush forest. The martial artist felt a bit of his burden vanish, as though he left it with Trev to bear. Genuinly grinning, he was now focused on finding this Rain character, and accomplishing his own goals. EXIT Edited by Fudo Saiken, Mar 20 2016, 11:56 PM.

Tendou also noted the approaching boats, smirking to himself at just how stupid the enemies had to be, or just how little they knew about their opponents. If they'd had any sense they would have gone the long way around, and their sniper would have probably shifted targets after seeing at least two of his shots batter themselves to pieces on the mocha-skinned swordslinger. But no, they just kept on coming with the idiotic fervor of those used to following orders without question. Feeling rather confident in himself after that little tune the mermaid had sung, Tendou decided that all of the piddly boats would have to go, and since they were just edging close enough, he decided to do it in a flashy manner. Concentrating for a moment, Tendou caused small sparks of light to rise from his shoulders. These sparks began to glow and pulse, more motes of light gathering inwards towards the pulsing cores, forming coherent bands of power that spun and twirled around each tiny nexus of light. The pulsing accelerated, becoming so fast that it was like looking into a strobe, until finally the pulses merged into a constant shine. All the while a slowly building whine could be heard, the very air protesting the gathering power. Once the noise had built to a shriek, Tendou extended his arms, pointing at two of the approaching boats. "Viper Strike!" he shouted as the orbs of light transformed themselves into beams of destructive force, arcing out to strike the boats just below the waterline and blowing decently sized holes in them. Forward progress would rapidly slow, and the wooden shrapnel from the impacts couldn't have been much fun either. Turning back to his now two companions on the beach, Tendou motioned to the boats, which were most likely approaching at a slower pace, with two of them sinking slowly into the waves. "Now if these idiots are intent on fighting us they get to do it while wet, cold, and quite a bit more tired." Looking further out at the rest of the boats, flickers of light could be seen around him, presaging even more strikes to come, yet the light did nothing more than flicker and shine for now, merely providing an unsettling display to the approaching pirates. |

When looking through the young Mermaid's eyes, everything wasn't so bad as it seemed. Coralia seemed to attract more and more individuals that would expand her world and horizons. Though, the main person who she had met that brought her joy, was the character named Maximus. One of the deadly trio within the Sleeping Tempest, Coralia wanted to know more about the guy she traveled with. And if not for this predicament, she'd have her answers. Although with everything going on, the drunken pirate would slip from out of her sight. With this new problem which arose, Coralia was quickly answered by the swordswoman's nobility. It happened within a flash, and the mermaid would cringe her eyes tightly as the gunshot rang through the air. Unknowing that her protector had left her, Coralia would so think her life had ended within that song. Though it wasn't the hymist's intent to die here, no, she couldn't. Not without putting on the greatest show the pirate world had seen. She didn't feel the pain come, it was like it would never cease to surprise her with death. Yet, when opening her vibrant pink orbs. Her eyes widened to see the female warrior standing in front of her without even flinching. To who this warrior was, was unknown, to the chapters that was yet to unfold was going to be settled here. She couldn't believe that someone of her magnitude could take something on like that. With dead bodies popping up and the water just beside her, it was hard not to say that her little vacation wasn't ruined. Coralia didn't need protecting however, when worse came to worse, she'd have to fight. Although when the time seemed fit for it, a good prayer would come in handy when she didn't know what to do. Being a gypsy, she had the strongest belief in whatever had been keeping these miracles going. She stood to a formal standing as the pirates leap from their row boats. Her face shadowed a bit as her fist clenched into a ball. A flashback would reveal that Coralia had indeed asked aloud for strength. But it wasn't visible to her true intentions until this point. Sharks swirled around the rowboats as they neared the shores to come fight the mermaid and bunch. Aspects of light aided in the destruction of some, but what was to come was mere catastrophic. "And rid them all" Came the gypsy's soft voice as the numerous of sharks vigorishly ripped the men which fell into the waters. In reality, the sea was Coralia's biggest strength. Her ace in the hole one would say, and upon sighting a man who conjured light from thin air and a bulletproof woman. The only person who was missing from this display of skill was, "Max.. ". Came Coralia's words as she alarmingly curved one of her poi balls in a 190 degree angle. Metallic string, flinging just above Cynthia's shoulder whilst the yoyo bashed into a oncoming man's chest. "He will return, he isn't a coward" Coralia said confidently. Reason of edit

Gazing out to the ocean, Cynthia started to think on the next move which she should make, gazing out as she noticed sharks swimming about, at first she thoughtnit was abit odd for sharks to come out this close to the shore but didnt really think much of it, besides, the enemy was on their way, getting closer and closer, but to be honest, they where not the issue, it was the sniper on the ship, she knew as soon as she removed her self from this girls sight, she would be dead. It was then a bright light shoot from a distance, destroying the few boats that where closest to the island, Cynthia looked in surprise, it came from the stranger that gave the...news...what was it he done? it looked like a beam of light of some kind, no matter, maybe it was him that could help out, the man walked closer, saying that they would no arrive wet cold and tired. Cynthia Simply blinked a few times before looking back at the girl stern look in her eyes "we'll see" she simply said, not really believing her, it was then she heard the girl whisper something else under her breath, as she did so, Cynthia heard splashing into water as the sharks started to attack the men in the boat and those that where already in the water, was she controlling them? She then returned her gaze towards the light man. "You think you can distract them with what ever you just did there?" she asked as she looked out at the ship "that sniper is an issue, not for me, but for the others that don't have skin of steel" she then looked back at the girl, this time with a more calm look in her eyes "listen, if you can fight, then I advice putting your skills to use, this man wont stop every man reaching the shore" nodding towards the girl she stepped forward whiles holding onto the handle of her swords "don't worry about the sniper" drawing her swords, still in their scabbards, she moved the right one in front of her whiles leaving the left on besides her "I'll prevent the bullets from reaching you" focusing on where the bullets where coming from, she sensed the killer intent of them as another came flying towards her, she then moved forwards and slammed one of the bullets into the ground as a eruption of sand sprayed every where. It was obvious then that the sniper was getting frustrated as a fury of bullets followed as Cynthia kept blocking them, and those that did manage to hit her simply got crushed by her steel skin, for now, the girl that she was protecting was free to move with out harm. After a while the shots stopped and silent filled the air, Cynthia remained on guard, not taking her eyes of the ship in the distance, it was then she saw a shadowy figure bouncing from boat to boat, the killer intent coming from this guy was huge, it was obvious from the feeling she felt that who ever was on their was wasn't going to spare anyone's live. Meanwhile While Max was in the forest, he may hear the foot steps of people, it seemed the near by tribe people where moving, they must of heard about the pirates invading the island and attempting to escape before they got captured. "Chanua! come back!" yelled out a distressed woman, it was the Max came face to face with a small like bird, a sparrow in fact, it didn't do much, only looked whiles tilting its head at the stranger "Another strange man?" it said in a curious manner, it was then the woman came out of the bush's "Chanua, you have to stop flying a-" the woman then stepped back in a frightened pose, pointing her spear towards the man "Keep away, I will not let you take my child!" she spoke out in a protective manner. It was then a loud roar come from a distance, it sounded like it was getting close, she looked frightened towards the direction "W-w-we don't have time..." she then grabbed the small bird from mid air, holding it close to her, still aiming her spear at Max, making sure that he didn't try anything to warm either of them. There was a hitch in Max's throat as he exhaled the breath he'd been holding in. He sniffled and wiped snot from his nose with his hand, rubbing the offending matter onto his shorts without looking. The pounding of feet nearby made him raise his head, though his movement didn't go beyond that. His shoulders were still slumped and his eyes stared out at the encompassing foliage with a bleary film over them. He took another deep breath as he scrubbed at his salty cheeks, before running his hands through his untamed hair. Another long exhalation followed, then a snort, and thwack as he spat out a thick gob of snot. It splattered into the dirt between his feet; not for the first time he wished he had thought to grab his shoes before fleeing the sniper. A twinge of guilt lanced into him then, but not from fleeing the dangerous area; instead it was because he had abandoned, who he had started to think of as, his charge. He grunted, and a sad smile spread on his face, she was in far more capable hands now. The sound of footsteps were starting to recede until a rustling in the brush preceded the appearance of a small bird, a robin maybe. It paused and looked at him, he jerked a bit, he didn't like the amount of intellect he thought he saw in those beady little eyes. When it spoke he damn near fell back off the log he was settled on, animals shouldn't talk, that was way to weird. But before he could get more than his butt off the log to leave this creepy little animal behind, there was a more intense crashing in the bushes from where it had come from. She'd been speaking conversationally enough, even pleasantly chidingly, however when she say Max sitting on the log in front of her Chanua it seemed that all of the alarm bells went off. Her form as she pointed her spear at him seemed rather good, though the part of his mind that stayed beneath a tight leash said their were a dozen ways he could disarm her, and half a dozen that would end in her death. He pressed the beast down, worried at how uncontrollable his emotions were when he was sober, wondering if he'd be able to keep them in check; or if someone else was going to die. He held his hands out in what he hoped was an unthreatening manner, though such a feeling would be hard to show when he was splattered in blood; not yet having had the chance to wash it off. 'I.I...I've no interest in you and your bird' he stuttered, his voice barely above that of a whisper. A roar tore through the forest and Max cast a fearful glance in that direction, he knew what a top predator sounded like from his time on hazard mountain, this thing was one of the top ones he imagined. He held his hands away from his body as he slowly stood up, hoping that she wouldn't spook, he agreed with her whole heartedly, there was no time. 'We have to run', his fear lent his words some urgency as they came out without a stutter, 'if we don't go now whatever that was will catch us'. His eyes pleaded with her, 'please, we have to go now'. |

Tendou was rather astonished to see that for some reason, sharks were swarming in the waters offshore, happily feasting on the men who were swimming from the boats he had sunk. Such a state of affairs hadn't been his intention when he decided to sink them, but it did seem a rather happy accident, as men who are wet and somewhat tired fight more poorly than those who are dry and ready to go. Consequently, those who are wet, tired, terrified, and shark-bitten fight even more poorly, which would be a big bonus since there were only three people on the beach who were willing to give said fight. As the feeding frenzy continued, Cynthia's comments, and those from the woman she sheltered, made him understand that the sharks were not there by chance, and that this was just another part of the plan. Furthermore, Cynthia was asking him to in effect keep doing what he'd intended to all along, sink more boats and lay waste to the enemy force. "As if you really have to ask, consider them "distracted" miss Valentine." Taking his eyes from his new compatriots, Tendou went back to lancing coherent beams of light into the hulls of approaching ships, managing to sink two more before they got close enough to shore that it wouldn't put them in with the sharks anymore. After those two more sinkings, Tendou let more motes of light drift free to orbit him, ready to be charged into deadly lances of light on command. All of the approaching pirates would likely be apprehensive at the very least, seeing those twinkling points of light swirling around the man who had just annihilated several boats of their flotilla. Seeing the shape that leapt from ship to ship amongst the rapidly depleting pirate boats, Tendou looked warily at the form, understanding instinctively that this was likely someone who would be a bit more of a problem than the men swimming with the sharks. Just the fact that he could run that fast and jump that far indicated a physical strength that went beyond the norm for a human. As the form approached, Tendou also became aware that the torrent of shots from the sniper had stopped, which made it likely that the approaching threat was that selfsame gunman. "Well this looks like it might be fun!" |

It felt like the sun would never set from how high it was, and just below, a major battle was taking place. Sending out such a prayer would lessen the enemies that Coralia and the bunch had to face. True she didn't like the sight of blood, yet there was gore everywhere. Still upon her cheek, laid splattered dews of blood from the grim brother's head spontaneously exploding in front of her. It was disgusting, repulsive. Never had she seen humans be so savage. The poi ball swiftly reeled back into her hand as she listened to what Cynthia had to say. Mind you, after everything that had previously gone on, Coralia hadn't known the maiden's name. It was one word that she would say that triggered the beautiful gypsy. The free spirited woman cracked a smile across her face, did this woman not know a entertainer when she seen one? The swordswoman had no idea what she had stirred, the sand beneath them slowly swirled beneath their feets as the climax of the moment built whilst the wind blew. At this moment of time, the imaginary annoucer would begin to speak with a radical tone. "Here we go! ", it only took Coralia a split moment but before you knew it, she took off in a blitz. Now back to if Coralia could fight, indeed she could. With a little thing she liked to call dance fighting style, Coralia was one of a kind. But what everyone wasn't expecting was a funky beat to come into reality, and a piano? "You are, the light of my life, you are, someone who needs to be helped to be brave. Let me show you the way, just can't let go out and say..." Coralia held a sorrowing note which ought to bring some chills and goosebumps down to the audience. But by then, she had thrown such a performance, they were left in awe. During her little tune, the gypsy managed to launch a high knee into some guy's face as she spun her leg around into a full round house kick when bouncing off the bastard. Laying a rough heel across the man's nose as she landed gracefully to the ground with accurate finesse. "I don't normally do this, but, game on!" She said with a cutesy giggle whence protruding her arms out and vaulting acrobatically through another man's legs with ease, powerfully leg sweeping him. They'd have to keep up with Coralia if they wanted to even be considered players. "That's three" Coralia said, sliding in the sand playfully. Her swimsuit gathering enough sand to look a tad dirty but the rest of her body, still oily alluring. Nonchalant about any danger, Coralia was not too aware of the blinding figure racing from boats. Although, before judgement could be placed on the situation. A large shark hopped up from the infested waters when Coralia felt the strange vibe from her side vision, attempting to bisect the sniper in mid air. Reason of edit
