This place thought Keiko in her nightmare, I feel like I have seen it before. She tilted her head to one side on the small white island with her body being weighed down by the water weight. Her eyes lingered to the luminescent full moon hanging over her head. The moon had a crater face that appeared to be smiling back at her. However, the moons smile was sinister and began to disturb her. No matter how devious the moon has become Keiko gently waved back. She had a warm smile on her face, but her actions and the response of the moon just was not adding up. She knew that for some strange reason she felt that the moon needed her kindness to warm its bitter heart. The craters in the moon's face seemed to crinkle into a real smile with real lips and fangs. The moon had folds in its face so deep that it left deep shadows lurking in its crevasses. Is there any way for me to escape the moon without dying myself. The answer was no. Keiko was a slave to the moon that kept her safe and hidden from the sun. Only, the moon was now a problem for her. She did not like the way the moon's dark shadowy eyes drifted to her every step. It was watching her. She had no escape. Where could she go from this little island? Wait, she thought, I can fly far away from here, so the move can not watch me any longer. She realized then that she was just being silly and could fly away in her zoan form. Wrong. Keiko had spread out her arms and waited to launch into the sky, but nothing happened. Her arms did not become covered in white fur with pale wings protruding from them. Her feet did not burst through the toes of her combat boots. Her pupils did not shave down into dial like slits. Her teeth did not become sharp and pointy. She reached to her head and felt her ears. Her ears did not become elongated into a cone-like shape covered with hair. Finally, she reached to the back of her pants and felt no hole in the material, but most importantly not mindless specter protruding for it that swings about with a puff ball on the end.

Keiko just could not understand why she could not transform. It was almost like she had lost the ability to change, but that was impossible. Right? She could have sworn that the moment your lips take a bite out of a devil fruit then you can no longer swim, but in exchange gain a new ability. She thought for a moment as the moon towered over her in its anarchy. I just took a swim. I know I'm dreaming but it just feels so real. There must be a logical explanation for this... Then she remembered that she was injured and the doctor had patched her up. She felt her hands to her clothing and felt the thick patches underneath where she was bitten by the great bat. I must just be too weak to change, but then why can I swim. I know this place does not make any sense. I -I must be asleep. I hope I'm asleep because this place is freaky. Keiko glared back at the moon and stuck her tongue out between her pink lips. The moon turned a fierce red and his craters a fathomless black. The darkness swiftly spread over the moon making it appear to be a black ball. Then the black orb in the sky began to strip in color with pieces of itself flinging away. The falling pieces of the moon dropped down from the sky like soldiers one after another revealing the moon to be a thin narrow crescent strip. The moon had been eaten away giving it a pathetic look that even Keiko almost felt sorry for.

The strips of the moon had not finished their mission as they dived at the girl on the small white island. The black strips stretched out their wings as they screeched so loudly the heavens would hear. She had to dive to the ground and cover her head to avoid being snatched by the giant black bats. The winged beats swiveled past her in all sorts of directions making infamous tornadoes.

Your best nightmare.

Wave wasn't sure what to make of his new captain. Just as Djazz had noticed the strange way Fudo was acting, so did Wave. The man seemed as though he was about to keel over for a moment. Wave was beginning to wonder if he had put in his lot with the wrong side. Jazz was a world-class swordsman, and while Fudo possessed a bounty of 200 million, he didn't seem to be able to muster up quite the same level of power or skill as Djazz. This was why Wave had decided to intervene. Fudo had ability, there were no doubts there. It seemed that he just needed a little help and he might have been able to topple the swordsman. Wave hadn't seen Fudo take any significant damage during the fight, but for some reason, all of a sudden he gave off the impression that he was barely able to keep standing. The moment passed quickly enough, but it left a sour taste in Wave's mouth. He suddenly wasn't so sure of their odds in this fight. A large part of why Wave had agreed to follow Fudo was the man's seemingly significant strength. If he was suddenly going to buckle under the pressure of facing an opponent stronger than himself, Wave wondered if his investment in this captain was sound?

Then there was the rest of the crew. Wave hadn't taken the time to get to know them or even meet them yet. Perhaps that was a tad rude on his part, but they were facing a rather dire situation. Nonetheless, other members of the crew seemed to have no problem forcibly making themselves known. One woman in particular seemed to be quite the vocal type. She shouted out protest at Wave for involving himself in the fight, despite the fact that (judging from that moment Fudo just had) he may have just saved the captain's life. Then she began scolding Fudo and Djazz for not being serious enough in their fight. Could the woman not read the situation? Did she not realize that, if he got through Fudo, Djazz could likely end the lives of each and every one of them right there on that beach? Wave was bold. Sometimes foolishly so. But he wasn't fool enough to invite death over for tea and crumpets.

For a moment, Wave considered picking up the ship the crew was on, flipping it over in the air and dumping the whole damned thing into the sea. However, he figured Fudo wouldn't be very receptive to the idea. He had chosen the loud-mouth woman to be his nakama for some ungodly reason that Wave wasn't privy to. He might be slightly cross if Wave went and killed half of them or so. Plus, Godric was on the ship still, and he hadn't struck Wave as an entirely disagreeable chap. Kept his mouth shut at the appropriate times at least. Tatsuo was over there as well, though the idea of getting rid of the creepy doctor wasn't entirely unappetizing to Wave. He couldn't shake these visions he kept having of himself waking up and realizing some of his internal organs were missing.

Wave's attention was suddenly shaken by the appearance of a sandstorm. Oddly, it crossed the water from their own ship and picked up on the edge of the beach, swinging in between himself and Fudo. Before visibility was lost, Wave saw Fudo take a stance and suddenly lunge towards Djazz at high speeds. Djazz, meanwhile stayed put, blocking the oncoming attack. Interesting. He didn't seem intent on attacking despite Fudo's apparent momentary lapse in strength. It must have been because of Wave's presence. Surely that was the only logical explanation for the man's caution. Very well then. Wave would usually prefer to keep his cards a secret from his opponent, rather than show his hand. However, against an opponent like this, he needed to show the man that he did possess the strength to at least pose a threat. Otherwise his plan to take some of the heat off of Fudo would be ineffective.

As the sandstorm closed in around him, Wave would lean forward, drawing his sword Alpha. Shadow Track! With a burst of sand from the ground, Wave would suddenly disappear in a blur of speed. With a small explosion of sand Wave would burst forth from the edge of the sandstorm and suddenly reappear behind Djazz. Wave held his Aegis shield horizontally between himself and Djazz and swung his sword in a horizontal slash over the top edge of his shield, right at the back of Djazz's head. Wave's Shadow Track Was an advanced form of Soru that Wave had developed himself. It was virtually invisible to most people, though against an opponent like Djazz Wave knew the chance remained that his movement would be seen through. Still, he hoped that being locked in place blocking Fudo would diminish Djazz's ability to counter his attack.

Fapple Jack and Twily Sparks listened to the group start to make their introductions. The loud mouthed girl who was shouting at everyone earlier was Named Alice and seemed to be some sort of demolitions expert and inventor. Fapple immediately stored that knowledge away for later that she might make some good conversation about construction and engineering. Perhaps she had some knowledge of what was causing that Marine ship to fly like that, if she could master that bit of technology she could easily quadruple her asking prices for ship building. She went on to introduce the person sealed off in the casket as Keiko, referring to her as her sister.

Well it’s downright ta meetcha Alice. Good ta see a fellow engineer around here, and again ah’m sorry fer yer lose, ah can’t even think bout how hard it would be fer me ta lose mah brother Big Jack back home, ta lose yer sister at sea must be terrible.” Fapple apologized sympathetically again, and then she saw what looked like several tendrils of hair wriggling out of air holes built into the box. She and Twi blinked curiously and then both gave each other a look that mentally said ‘Under no circumstances are we going near that box’. It also seemed that their captain was down on the beach where some hug ruckus was going on. It sounded like a fight but it must not be so bad since none of them seemed too panicked about it. Still that name sounded kind of Familiar… where the heck had she heard Fudo Saikon before. The doctor was next up on the introductions list, asking them both to refer to him simply as ‘Doc’

Sure thing, whatever you say ‘Doc’” Fapple chuckled at the pleasant informality to which the group seemed to be ok with. It surely aggravated the overly proper and prim Twily Sparks who was known for her strict attitude towards formality, a stark contrast to Fapple’s down home attitude when meeting and interacting with new people. The Doc followed up his introduction by reassuring them that what had killed the Marines had not got to the, and was not a threat to them, as they were in fact the ones who killed them. In a very calm, collecting, and disturbingly jovial tone introduced themselves as pirates. Wait pirates… Fudo Saikon… a shit load of dead Marines…

Mmmhhmmm I see, fascinating. Hey Fapple can I speak to you for a moment in private?” Twi said in an unusually calm tone before motioning for Fapple to follow her a few yards away from the group. Fapple’s jaw was still slack and hanging wide open at the reveal as she was dragged away by the elbow. Once they were a modest distance away Twi pulled her down into a huddle and dropped the charade of bravery and obviously started to panic.

Oh god these are the Beast Blood Pirates!! Their captain is Fudo Saikon, a pirate with a bounty of 200 million Beli!! We’ve made a terrible mistake, they’re gonna kill us, or sell us as slaves, or eat us! Pirates eat people don’t they, I’m pretty sure I heard that somewhere…” Twi began to panic somehow managing to produce a paper bag and start breathing into it to keep herself from hyperventilating. Fapple was still a bit stunned for words, but being a business mare she was able to quickly rationalize the situation. She had done plenty of jobs for pirates in the past, she often couldn’t afford to be picky about who she took construction jobs for, and Marines weren’t dickish enough to arrest every professional who serviced pirates so long as all taxes were paid on time.

Twi ah gets what yer sayin, and ah agree that they’re dangerous, but we ain’t exactly in a situation ta pick and choose who helps us.” Fapple responded quickly getting over the shock and thinking about the situation rationally and with common sense. Twi gave a pathetically whiny face and spared a glance back at the group before returning her attention to Fapple Jack.

W-well… how long would it take you to finish building a ship?” She asked her tone weak as she already knew the answer but wanted to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. Fapple got a face screw up in concentration as she mentally tallied the steps necessary and counted them out on her fingers.

Well assuming we don’t die from starvation, dehydration, disease, exposure, exhaustion, or get eaten by some giant monster. If ah do all the work myself like ah’ve been doing using make shift and slipshod tools and with a lack of any real metal to work with, ah should have a ship building fer us that can withstand the waters in 9 months.” Fapple estimated, giving herself a very generous estimation at that, as it was based on the assumption she could keep working at her current pace forever and didn’t include her growing weaker and weaker over time as she slowly starved to death. Twi’s face dropped not liking the sound of that.

Look Twi, I getch yer feelins ah really do but this is a no brainer. It’s a choice between probable death, an certain death. In this case a 10% chance of survival is better than a 0% chance. It’s tha lesser of 2 evils. Ah’m makin an executive decision bout this, we trust’em fer now, but sleep with one eye open just in case ya hear?” Fapple explained in no uncertain terms dictating how they would get off the island. It was never her favorite thing to do but sometimes Twi got so worked up worrying about what might happen she ignores what will happen.

Wow Fapple I’m shocked… that is a surprisingly intelligent observation coming from you.” Twi mentioned blinking in surprise at her partner’s outstanding use of logic. Normally applying logic and reason was her thing, so to hear it from her rustic partner was a bit of a shock.

Tain’t logic, its common sense Twi. Fer all yer fancy book learnin ya’ll are shockingly dense when it comes ta tha obvious.” Fapple responded condescendingly as she patted Twi on the head in a demeaning manner like one might a child. Pouting a bit Twi sighed in defeat and nodded in agreement. The two of them walked back over to the group.

Sorry bout that we were just a bit shocked, and understandably scared, that we had wandered into the den of such famous pirates. We’re obviously in pretty worn out shape since we didn’t even recognize this as a pirate ship. Regardless of what ya’ll have done recently or in tha past we ain’t got much choice but ta rely on yer help. If we stay here we’ll die, plain and simple. If you’ll have us we’ll take our chances throwin our lot in with you. Uhhh n-no offense, suppose that didn’t sound as noble as ah had hoped it would… awww shoot ah just keep running mah mouth…. Shut up Fapple shut up…” Fapple laughed awkwardly as she banged her fist against her head a few times time Twi held out her hand to stop her from doing so physically.

I’m sorry about my partner here. She lacks the social graces and the benefits of an actual education having grown up in a hillbilly farm and likely as a result of generations of inbreeding. While we are naturally a bit nervous about receiving aid from pirates, simply put we don’t have the luxury of being picky. If you will have us aboard your ship we’ll take you up on the offer. And once we’ve managed to get into better help we’ll gladly pull our own weight with whatever tasks you have for us. As she mentioned earlier Fapple is a carpenter and engineer by trade so she fairly handy to have around. As for myself I’m really more of an educated type, not sure how much help that would be to you folks but I’m fairly knowledgeable about a wide variety of subjects having read practically a library’s worth of books in my life. I am almost a decent cook and I can clean as needed, after all I can keep up with Fapple here and you would not believe the messes she makes in the bathroom. I swear whenever she takes a shower or a bath it’s like a herd of pigs stampeded through there.” Twi explained in a far more eloquent and collected manner. Fapple scowled at her partner as she rattled off a few insults, but smiled afterwards as the familiar banter helped calm her nerves and center her mind. For better or worse it looked like they were going to be settling up with the Beast Blood Pirates. Hopefully nothing to bad would come of this.

Keiko knew she had a single shot to relieve her swords from their sheaths to strike the creatures down. She was planning to slice them into pieces of bloody chunks or tear them limb by limb with her hands. Her icy fingertips slid down her back towards her twin Nodachi's Hellbound and Nirvana. Her arms were crossed like an x over her shoulder and her hands clasped empty handed. Where are my blades? The realization struck Keiko like a bolt of lightning. I left my swords in my coffin. I have no weapons here. I can not change into a bat to fly away and fight with my natural weapons. I'm harmless, she thought with a sinking realization. All of a sudden she felt as light as a feather with the island becoming smaller and smaller in size. Then she realized that she had been ensnared by a great predatorial bat ready to finish the work of its queen. The world was shrinking but even so there was no escape from the queen bat. She had given up hope. Keiko let her body get limply carried away as if she were a forgotten doll with cracked skin and missing eyes. It was time to be tossed to the dump and incinerated.

Her eyes went back to the island that seemed to be hovering by in the attempt to escape. The small island wasn't an island at all but, in fact, a marine ship. The ship had revealed itself to the queen bat and its fate sealed. The black oceans began to gurgle with bubbles bursting at the surface. She's coming. Even from such a great height in the sky, Keiko could see the giant luminescent eyes ringing in vibrant colors. The size of the queen bats eyes was, at least, the size of two marine ships. Two shark fins could be sighted in the water. One fin resided right in front of the marine ship the other was far of in the opposite side. The black fins rose out of the water to be the veils of death. Two devil wings shot out of the water with sharp firey points blocking the marine ship from escaping one way or the next. They did not have a chance in hell. In one swoop with a single wing, the marine ship exploded with such fierceness that Keiko had to cover her eyes to the light of the explosion. Her eyes tore from the brightness. She could feel the heat of the explosion on her forearm even from such a great height.

The queen bat's hair was wavering unnaturally. Her nostrils were flaring with her jaws opened wide. Keiko expected the great bat taking her away to bring her back to its queen, but it did not. The queen bat sent out a sickening sound from the back of its throat in high pitch waves. Her echolocation would surely call her captive to her jaws, but still the great bat rejected the queen. Keiko brought her hollow eyes up to the sound of wings battering her away. Keiko was astonished this bat was not one of the queens. It was a white bat with yellow ears and nose. She recognized it well it was her in her zoan form. Her head spun in the opposite direction. How was that possible for her to be split in two? The white bat was sailing past even the crescent moon. I can't change into a bat if we are not the same person, she thought with her head fumbling for answers.

The monster turned her luminescent eyes sharply to Keiko and the great white bat making their escape past the moon. Her eyes narrowed angrily as her jaws snapped open like a snake. It was off that the great bat had not a single fang. She remembered them piercing her body, so she knew she had not imagined them. The queens black body rose from the black ocean, but the snow covered mountains surrounded her like an arena. She could spot cabins deep in the forest of the night. Why was this place so familiar? The queen bat had no moving room to take flight. The monster forced nature to contour to her needs by slicing the mountains. The mountains broke into boulders and rained down on the blood queen. However, the beast used her echolocation to shatter the boulders into pebbles. She was unscathed and ready to finish what she started. Her wings cleared the sky and in one swift swoop was just inches from the moon. She bites down on the moon with her gums causing the moon to crack sharply giving the queen sharp fangs.

The great bat had already might have reached the heavens if the sky was not cloudless, starless and moonless. It was only darkness with not boundaries. No limits to stop the queen bat. No space to suffocate in just to escape her. Though the great bat zoomed through the sky at an inevitable speed there was no escape. Keiko stroked the great white bats leg, "Just give up." The bat turned its head back for only a moment to yell at her in a wailing screech. The fur on its face was falling off in thick tufts revealing a human face. Keiko was staring at herself with dialed eyes and sharp teeth on a bats body. Her instinctual bat self-had furrowed eyes that looked like fiery lanterns, "No. I'm not going to die for your pathetic human weaknesses. I'm better off without you. I can't have you endangering me." The instinctual Keiko changed directions speeding towards the earth at high speeds. They were dropping out of the sky so quickly they Keiko's body was facing straight down like a rocket. Keiko tried to move her eyes to cover her face from the wind but the pressure held her arms at her sides. "What are you doing?" Keiko felt her heart thump and a lump bile rise in her throat. She knew what instinctual Keiko was doing. Why did I have to ask? With no hesitation, the instinctual Keiko said, "I'm killing you, of course."

Keiko felt the Keiko bats body release her grip around her shoulders. The great white bat disappeared into the mountains leaving Keiko behind. Keiko had a moment to turn around. She didn't want to see the ground rising to greet her. Pearly cracks smiled at her crookedly. The queen bat opened her jaws wide swallowing Keiko whole. She felt no pain but the world had cut out the lights. She opened her eyes slowly. Where am I? Her hands were clasping thick bed sheets. "Kuro, Fudo, Alice, Ryu?" Not a single soul answered the girl. Keiko slowly lifted herself out of bed to not irritate the bandages. She checked just to be sure but didn't feel any. There wasn't a wound there. Did I heal already? She was wearing a tacky orange and green polka dot nightgown. She stuck out her tongue. "Awe I hate this thing. Why did my dad have to get this he know I only like stripes." She paused. I'm home.

Keiko dashed to the small bathroom. She looked in the mirror to see a reflection of her young teenage self. Her face was red and she instantly knew she had a fever. I must have been asleep for days recovering from a fever! I-I never left home! Keiko's eyes began to water. She rushed to every room in the cabin, but no one was there. She was looking for Kanji Ookami her father. "Dad!" She called him several times. She ran back to her room in excitement to take it in. I never left! She giggled to herself when she heard a click and a gust of wind followed by the entrance door slamming shut. She knew the slam was due to the harsh drumb island blizzard winds. She ran towards the entrance seeing her father with his ridiculously ugly scarf wrapped around his neck. She ran into his arms and she twirled her in the air just like she remembered and back to the ground. He had a warm smile on his face and greeted her, "Good morning sunshine." Kanji went on his knees to have eye level with her, "I have a surprise for you. There's someone I want you to meet."

Keiko nodded her head. She was just so happy to see her father. She didn't mind meeting one of his friends. Kanji turned the door knob revealing black fur at the corner of the door. Keiko expected to see Kuro hiding there with the silly attempt to catch her off guard, but she knew he was no good at hiding. Kanji motioned for Keiko to follow and walked outside the cabin. She found this odd but followed him barefoot out into the cold. She expected to see Kuro's face but instead the black fur kept stretching out. She passed a corner of the house slowly feeling a little nervous. He must have made friends with a hairy giant. But when she turned another corner she looked up to see the luminescent eyes glaring down at her. Her mouth opened wide into a frightened O. She was too scared to scream. Kanji stepped in front of the great bat whose hair covered the cabin and was stretching over the whole island. Even the mountain tops were dark and furry. The fur was hanging over the snow like black wires. One particular wire caught Keiko's terrified eye. Her father's eyes were twinkling like stars, "Keiko I'd like you to meet your mother." The black wires were plugged into Kanji's back making him a puppet. His eyes were dripping blood and his smile became twisted like the moons.

Keiko woke up from her dreadful nightmare with sweat pouring from her temples. She had enough sleep for now. Keiko knocked on the side of the coffin to alert Kuro to lift the lid. The rabbit did not. Keiko slid the lid slightly enough for her to get out. The raging cries of battle went on. Something was wrong their battle was still going. It must be a good match she thought, but she had the impulse to leave. She unsnapped her swords from the lid of her coffin. The doctor was treating two patients she had never seen before and looked rather peculiar. She waved hello to them and made her way past them and the doctor. She would never walk head on with the sun, but she was in a hurry. She did not have time to gather her cape. She found Kuro tapping his back. He was signing to the to the two strangers. He was talking a lot about that he was a gentleman and not a pet. He was upset for some reason. He did not like being called a pet. Keiko ignored him for the time being to let his have his conversation even though no one could understand him unless they play charades.

Keiko looked up at Alice. Keiko's eyes were lifeless and lined red with inner pain. She could not say goodbye to Alice or she would undoubtfully follow her to the end of the earth. She did not want her to die. Keiko faked a smile, "I'm feeling better already. Kill him Fudo! He's no problem for you I've seen you kill better. Laugh it off Fudo!" Keiko knew that Fudo was already injured beforehand, but she still had faith in him. "You guys have to encourage him no matter how reckless," she said to the crew. You can not have slaughter without laughter, she thought to herself.

Godric sighed heavily, things had escalated without him. The teen was so prepared to engage in battle with the warlord's errand boy and the Captain as well but he was too slow to keep up. Then Wave jumped in and just made this into more chaos that the teen was not able to keep up with the situations developing on the ship as well. He was trying to come up with a strategy when coming into this fight, if the magnetic maniac could put up a fight against these two then why shouldn't he be able to. Besides, with his nemean skin none of these bastards could put a scratch on him, well at least wave's sword rain technique wouldn't put a scratch on him. The Captain and the swordsman seemed to have good use of Haki, an ability that could in fact hurt him like Seaston.

At any rate, Godric brought his attention back to the ship. He had notice something a little off about the doctor that had looked at him earlier and treated his wounds. The man looked the same but the spider he felt was gone, it was weird. But if everyone else was ok with it then he would be too. The teen even noticed the arrival of another woman and companion pleading for help. The situations were developing way to quickly for him to keep track of all the things happening at once. He closed his eyes and gave a loud sigh.

"Screw This!" he finally spoke after what felt like weeks of silence but was only a few minutes. The young pirate looked around at the groups in front of him, the wild fighters putting on a show and the shenanigans of the ones aboard the ship. "I'm going back to bed, wake me when we're at G7 Fudo. I should be good to go by then, no use wasting energy before I need to if I dont have to. I'm sure you guys will be fine if the marines comes too." He said as he turned his back on the shows in front of him and proceeded to move down below deck. He would pick one of the many rooms and call it his own, regardless of it's previous occupant's feelings. He made himself at home quickly, and slowly drifted off, using the sounds of the fighting and chatter as white noise.

Clashing with Djazz, Fudo's body trembled as he struggled to compete with Djazz strength. The clash made it obvious that Fudo was at a physical disadvantage, despite his hulking stature. While clashing with his right fist, Fudo's feet dug into the sand, he was slowing being pushed not only away, but down, as Djazz's black blade pressed against his knuckle dusters. Fuck, I'm loosing it, I'm loosing it. I barely moved him at all. Djazz's words would fill his ear, and despite the unbearable pain and inherent handicap the big cat zoan had, he would do his best. As Djazz pointed out Fudo's weakness, the big cat zoan became enraged, quickly showing on his face as a large gaping smile and furrowed brows.

The martial artist had conflicting thoughts as the fight progressed. The moments where he fell unconscious made him think that the fight was not worth it, but, he had to protect his crew. He'd put his neck out for them so many times, that it was almost second nature next to eating, and defecating. Alongside that, Wave appeared and was ready to assist him as well. Which was nice, but made the captain uncomfortable as Wave's personality made it clear that the man was not entirely happy about how he was added to the crew. Fudo was a bit worried that a moment of weakness would make Wave attack him. So in response to the idea, Fudo focused his haki on Wave rather than Djazz, he was certain Djazz wouldn't outright kill him, but was unsure of Wave's reaction. Wave had rushed from his position behind, Djazz, hopefully, the guy would move out of the way as quickly as he appeared. As Djazz pressed into Fudo's blade, the ancient zoan pulled his right arm back and quickly threw his left fist at Djazz. The knuckle duste r covered fist created a shock wave larger than all the previously made shockwaves. Swiftly jabbing it past the blade which was pushing closer to Fudo. With Djazz at such a close range,Fudo thought it'd be unlikely for him to dodge.

Ahh, now things would get a little interesting. He had held back from counter attacking Fudo just yet only so that he could give a part of his attention to Wave to get a sense of his next move, and luckily this paid off, as he was was able to react when the next scenario played out. If there was any technique that was almost universally learned and used at a certain level, it was the 'Soru' technique, and among those who used it, the oldest trick in the book was the ol' "Soru behind the opponent" trick. He was keen enough to pick up on the direction of his movement, even out of the corner of his eye. After all, they were positioned in a triangle of sorts before the man dashed at a near instant back and behind him. Luckily it wasn't as though he was flying, the path of sand underneath his feet further sold him out.

It had been awhile since he saw a man fight with a shield and sword combination, though Djazz was no novice. His style was one-handed sword, most ideally which would free up his other hand for defense. With his body still clad in the same black dense armor of his will, he could swat attacks off and stave off his opponents with his free hand. Had Wave used Soru to burst to Djazz's right side where he held his sword, then he would have to go far out of his way to reach across his body to attempt to defend himself. Luckily now all he required was a minor pivot and to raise his hand, properly catching the sword slash in his haki clad palm as it wised toward his hand. With his speed, strength and accuracy superior to this opponent, he could pull such a maneuver to stall his attack.

His instinct would insist that he get moving. While he was happy to 'tank' his opponents with powerful haki defenses, it was wise to keep all opponent in front of ones self. Wit Fudo clashed with his sword on one end and Wave's sword caught in his other hand, there were a few critical moments in which he could slip out and ideally hit both opponents with a wide range technique that would either overwhelm them or spit them up to make a one-versus-one challenge more manageable. However, in his frustration, Fudo prepared to lash out at Djazz himself. The premonition was of a massive attack at point blank range, and while his speed was hampered, his experience against close quarters attackers gave him more than enough insight into how to handle such an occasion.

He had to hand it two them, however, trapping Djazz into a corner between them and then launching a large scale attack was a smart move. Normally he would be worried for the other combatant, but with his large shield he would most likely have a mechanism of mitigating much of the damage.

Once again 'clicking' on the magnetic repulsion of the glove in his right hand, as Fudo lurched forward to throw his next punch, the magnetic force against his knuckle dusters would push Fudo's fist upward while pushing Djazz's arm down. Using the difference in strength to hold his ground, Fudo's punch would be directed upwards into the air by several degrees, and with a shallow duck from Djazz himself, the attack would blast past the swordsman and into the air past him. In essence, the magnetic push would force Fudo to miss. The cone-like trajectory of the attack would mean that it was more narrow at it's origin, and by being in close range, the attack that seemed massive as it launched into the sky would be narrowly escaped.

The same repulsion would free Djazz's left hand as Wave's sword would be pushed away from him. With his ability he may become keen to Djazz's trick and quickly develop a counter-attack, but not quickly enough to prevent Djazz from giving Fudo Saiken a keep sake, which would require use of both hands.

Because the man's plan was to punch past Djazz's sword, it now left him in the precarious position of having Djazz's sword beyond his potential defenses. With the follow through of his extended hand beyond defending, Djazz quickly and decisively gave the captain of the Fudo pirates something to remember him by.

Pulling his sword down with the momentum of the magnetic push, he slashed shoulder to hip across Fudo's body with full intent to cut him. The laceration from such a cut would be merely a centimeter deep at it's worst, however would be enough to scar him for life. Djazz knew that there was a doctor on the ship and if he was in any way worth his salt he could stitch up and treat such a wound.

Whether the attack struck home or not, Djazz used the close quarters as an opportunity to speak quickly and candidly, "I'm a man of my word Fudo. The marines plan to wrap around the island and ambush you from both side with battle ships circling the island in tandem. They expect you to try to escape to the ocean with whatever you can and have a ship waiting directly outward to sea. Escape at 45 degrees South from his point. You'll avoid the ambush and have a leg up on the pursuiters but you have to leave in the next fifteen minutes or it'll be too late... He said, with clear diction and a tact about his pronunciation that would make it clearly heard to the captain in spite of how quickly he had said it.

Having attacked Fudo outright he had given Wave more of an opening to his back. He would do his best to tank any attack that either Wave or Fudo gave at him and use a veil of sand to escape, Hmm.. almost that time I suppose... he thought to himself. There was something more that he needed to do. One final ceremony that needed to take place before he could wash his hands of his past and step forward into a more simple life. It would be the hardest thing he would ever have to do. Harder even than convincing some pirate he had ever met to help him fake his death...

Alice, looked on below as the sand loomed and swirled around the blond haired boy known,as Wave. For the time being it seemed as though it was keeping him in check or the fact that he at least understood that it was not his place to be in such a duel, even if his sudden appearance did in fact he offer Fudo a break. Long enough for her to stoke the feline zoans flames and get him back into his usual self. It appeared as though her words had reached Djazz as well as the two mighty men flew at each other with an all new fury and passion. It was a wonderful sight to behold. However, it seemed the blond headed boy was not wise at all in knowing his place. Alice took a deep sigh in frustration at witnessing this and with overhearing the words from the doctor named Ryuu. One thing at a time is what would need to be addressed. She figured Djazz would put the Goldie locks to rest one way or another. That or Fudo to control this stray mutt.

Alice looked over towards the fellow red head and said, "Doc, I am understand. I have been with Fudo for a long time now, I am rather intimate in how the man fight, how he thinks, how he even sleeps. The Marines know of him and his typical behavior as well. If this show of strength is to prove what they set out to do, Fudo needed his fire to burn as bight as the very sun. While my methods are unusual at first glance, you can see clearly, the results are well worth the means. There are things going on within this rag tag band of scum that you are not aware of yet." The former marine then returned her attention to her sister within the box as it seemed her health was on the mend as the short fifteen minute nap was enough to fill her with some renewed strength. Either this was just a temporary fix or an actual recovery, it is yet to be seen. Though all logic said it was the former over the latter.

"Good morning Sunshine. Ookami, come here and sit in big sister's lap. Spoke the ruby red head demolitions expert as she smiled at her ebony color haired sister in arms. It was good to see her in good spirits at the very least. Such a thing was rare now a days. All the while behind them, the two new comers who had come aboard asking for help had stepped away to talk privately between themselves before coming back to address them again. Alice spoke up saying from behind the Sandy throne upon she sat.

"first, as you can see, my sister is not dead, she is very much alive, she just suffers from a curse of being a nospheratu, blood sucker... she is a Vampire. Next, we me be scum of the sea as the good Doctor has spoken, but, we are reasonable and we are generally good people. So, as long as you are willing to help out and you are cool. You can travel with us for as long as you two desire. Though, it would be nice to have a couple extra hands. Maintaining a ship is a rather difficult task to tackle alone. Anyway, please, come, sit with us. Relax and take a load off, maybe watch the show on the beach. Alice waved over the two women as she was starting to grow tired of having to raise her voice constantly. It was becoming more effort then her body had within it. Looking to Ryuu, she motioned for him to preform his magic so to speak to offer more chairs for the two gets to rest upon. Plus, it would be a good way to show them that should they pose a threat, they would see first hand just a sample of the raw destructive power the crew had and would eagerly unleash.

The two new women aboard the ship spoke, the two others spoke as well yet Ryuuchi did not register anything. He caught it on the corner of his eye, Fudo's fight with the intruder named Djazz, featuring Wave. It was Fudo's current state that worried him, however. The doctor had seen Fudo's health visually declining throughout the match, yet he didn't expect it to reach this point. The battle was supposedly a fake one where nobody was supposed to die and while this might still hold true, there was a chance of Fudo still meeting his demise after the encounter was over. This would imply a lot more work for him.

The women talked and he moved without a word. The new girls' words fell on deaf ears and Alice's request for new chairs was not even seen for he was no longer on the ship. As the big shockwave from Fudo's powerful attack erupted through the air above, Ryuuchi was landing on the beach. The pressure from the air itself was enough to cause the sand around the fight to go wild, spreading everywhere not unlike a small and quick storm.

Djazz's attack was powerful but not deadly, he could see the depth at which the blade had sliced Fudo's body after the attack was finished. It appeared deep but considering his physic it would be not have done significant damage to major organs. Yet with Fudo in a weakened state, it would likely be enough to put him out of commission. The moment Djazz's blade stopped, Ryuuchi acted.

His hand turned to sand as he reached down, mixing with the sand that surrounded them on the beach. The sand around Djazz, Fudo and Wave immediately shifted under his control. The grains around Djazz would rise up, taking the form of a large dragon head emerging from the ground to eat it's prey, hopefully causing him to fall as the dragon closed its mouth. At the same time, the sand under Fudo and Wave would shoot up, attempting to swallow the two and carry them higher, into safety.

Ryuuchi's other hand joined the sand below and the sand around Djazz would take him deeper underground. On the surface, Ryuuchi's attack was supposed to serve two purposes, save the two fighting Djazz and trap the intruder underground where he would crush him. Of course he knew that such an attack would likely do little to no harm to the Shichibukai's crewmate, however the man's objective was to fake his death and this would likely give him such a chance.

Once buried, Djazz would find himself not completely covered in sand but rather inside a pocket of air, underground. It would be enough to barely fit a man of his size, but he would only need to be there for a moment. Meanwhile on the surface, Ryuuchi caused the large dragon head to deform and twist, suddenly causing it to compact and crush anything inside it with immense pressure. All the while using the rest of the sand to rush Fudo and Wave back to the ship, next to the red head's "throne".

The Beast Blood captain was optimistic that his strike would land. Mostly due to the grandeur and illusion of control that his light headed state provided. While overly optimistic of his situation, he couldn't match the ability he felt he possessed in the moment. Fudo even flicked a smile as the would be decisive jab was being delivered to it's intended target. This punch will land, and Djazz will fly back towards Wave. Wave can survive this, I'll do it. I'll do it then we can leave. I am going to survive this, all of it. Sadly, with his speed and strength hampered in many ways, the big cat zoans attack would fly upward and narrowly miss Djazz's head. The combination of lacking speed and strength, and currently underwhelming focus would provide a wide enough advantage for Djazz to take. With his left hand flying upwards and his right falling back to his side, he was completely open. Though his mind wasn't working as fast, he became immediately aware of the predicament he was in as it occurred. His right eye widened as he watched the blurring motion of a blade cutting across him.

Violent momentum carried the blade into the torso of Fudo, and a feeling that he was much accustomed to, took over him. With his left arm raised, the seastone covered blade dug into his deltoid muscle, just under his clavicle. Slashing across his chest, the blade created a red trail that continued to flow across his pectorals, abdomen, and ended at his hip. The slash while not incredibly powerful, was accompanied by the aforementioned sea stone. The sea stone material would rob Fudo of his devil fruit ability for the duration of time that the blade penetrated his flesh. The slash occurring at bullet speeds meant that it was quickly in and out of the big cat zoan, so once hit, the Captain quickly had to register the damage done. However before he could even gauge the severity of the blow, he was addressed by his opponent. Before his speech was immediately picked up by the ancient zoans dulled senses, Fudo's eyes wandered to the face and mouth of Djazz. Initially only picking up tone and muffled words, Fudo was under the impression that the wound he received wasn't as bad as he could think. The hurried candid speech
was clear and direct, it provided the plan necessary for the crew to leave. Picking up the speech quickly, the zoan staggered backward with the knowledge to escape.

Quickly assessing his wound, pain did flood through his body, only adding to the already existing chest pains. With his left side still feeling unusually weak, his left arm fell rather quickly after the blow. Glaring down at the wound, he could see his blood scattered against the sands, and flowing freely down his left arm and lower abdomen, coating them in a crimson veil. Blood had been splashed across him, glaring back up at his opponent ambition formed another smile on Fudo's face. The sweaty bloodied weak mass, was still capable of mustering a smile. He was happy enough to have gained the knowledge for his crew to escape, so despite Djazz's attempts to preserve Fudo's body, Fudo was more than willing to toss his life away for everyone else's; fair trade in his mind. They have added to his life experience so, with the knowledge of his fleeting health, he wouldn't put much thought into anything but prolonging his death enough for them to escape. After all he was exchanging his help for his crews escape, even if it meant his life.

Breathing heavily the zoan remained staggered. He was incapable of moving ,and it appeared that he needed a jolt to wake his body up. That jolt would come in the form of sand that would attempt to move not only him, but Djazz and Wave. Being carried momentarily, the big cat zoan was being tossed into the air. Tumbling he managed to catch eye of the man he knew as Tatsuo causing the sand to rise and envelop the three combatants. Shocked by the display, Fudo was at a loss of words. As he knew Tatsuo, the man was some sort of zoan, so the realization of this not being true, caused the zoan to be mentally disturbed; he allowed a threat to slip through the cracks. Glaring at 'Tatsuo' the zoan would burst from the sand with his 'sky walk' technique. What the fuck? I shouldn't have been so careless. This guy could have been anyone, and I didn't get a grasp of his powers. Fuck. He couldn't have just killed me right now. Fuck, this fucking pain. It's hurts to move my legs this fucking fast. Hurts so fucking much! Fuck this Tatsuo, or whoever he is. H's healed everyone, but this isn't for him right now. He's helped out but this shit isn't what is needed! He'll have to fucking explain shit to me if I survive this, or, this fucking fib will not fucking! No lies in my fucking presence! Still aware of his conquerors haki limit, he contemplated placing it upon both Alice and Tatsuo, but instead opted to drop his will's influence over everyone but Djazz.

Kicking the air as swiftly as he could, the zoan moved to the deck of the ship, nearly crashing into the wood. Crashing beside Alice, he would speak as quickly and clearly as he could. "Alice! The marines are coming from both sides of the island! You have to move from the island and leave at fourty five degrees south in order to escape. Do it, fast, and hurry! Me and Wave will stay back!" Blood began to drop on the deck, and he was incapable of preventing that. Spotting new people, he ignored them for the time being and turned to 'Tatsuo' and then Alice again. "Cut the shit, only me and Wave are in this, Watch the ship, get the fuck out!" Speaking sharply and as quietly as he could with his hastened breath, the zoan finished and then turned to the edge of the ship, and then jumped off of the deck. "Djazz! I'm not fucking done here!" Crashin into the sand below, the zoan landed in a large cloud of sand. He was still tired, and he focused his haki on Djazz once more. Slowly rising to his feet, the zoan then again, made a fighting stance.

Shit was getting real. Wave was neck deep in this situation and everything was going all topsy-turvy. In truth, the pirate was having a hard time figuring out what was going on in all the chaos. Wave's quick strike on Djazz's back resulted in his sword being caught bare-handed by Djazz. He appeared to be using some form of Haki to pull off this feat. Wave was not intimately familiar with the mystical power of Haki, but he had seen enough to realize when he was facing it. Should have figured. It seemed like all the truly powerful characters traversing these seas possessed this power. He really needed to figure out how it worked. But for the time being, he needed to make a move. Wave was ready to release the sword which Djazz had caught, moving into his next attack, but he hesitated. Wave was within arms reach of Djazz's back, and thus, was able to hear Djazz's little speech as well. He froze for a moment as he listened. What the hell was this!? Why was their enemy warning them of an imminent attack? Why was he telling Fudo how to escape? This made no sense...

Suddenly, Wave was moving again. But this was not through his own volition. The sand around his feet was suddenly coursing about, lifting him and moving him back away from Djazz. The same thing was happening to Fudo, and as they were swept away from Djazz, the sand around the legendary swordsman frothed and roiled and suddenly shot upwards, forming into the head of what appeared to be some sort of dragon, which proceeded to close it's jaws around Djazz. What the hell was all this!? Wave saw Fudo to his side suddenly leap up and run through the air towards the ship where the rest of the crew remained. Glancing back, Wave saw what had probably drawn Fudo to the ship. A quick scan of the forward railing of the deck would reveal Tatsuo, who's arm appeared to have transformed into sand. So it turned out the freaky guy was a Devil Fruit user after all, and Wave had a pretty good idea what type of fruit the man had eaten. He didn't know of any Zoan or Paramecia fruit that would allow the user to transform their body into sand. This ability was almost certainly caused by a Logia-type devil fruit.

Wave didn't have time to deal with all of this. Fudo was dealing with the rest of the crew anyway. There was still a very dangerous enemy behind them, and Wave tended to doubt that a lizard-shaped sand dune was enough to put the man down for the count. Wave suddenly shot up into the air, using his magnetic levitation, or Mag-Lev technique to fly up above Tatsuo's sand. He would have to have a talk with the good doctor later about man-handling him with his sand. Now was not the time. Flying back over the area where the sand seemed to be collapsing in on top of Djazz, Wave would reach out with his open right palm. A glint of metal would shine from the sand and suddenly Wave's 50 swords would rise from where they had each been buried, floating up into the sky to point blade-down at the ground where Djazz was slowly being buried alive. The swordsman would have to come out of there to breath soon. Wave was going to be ready for him. Fudo was off the ship again and on the edge of the beach shouting to Djazz about how he wasn't finished. He looked about half-finished at least from Wave's perspective, but then he didn't know the man all that well yet. Whatever the hell Fudo's game was, Wave just couldn't figure it out. Did he and Djazz have some sort of deal going? If so then why were they fighting in the first place? Were there really a ton of marines coming for them? With Fudo looking a bit more like a corpse than anything else, why the hell weren't they trying to make a run for it? Wave felt like pulling his hair out. He hated not having all the information. For now, all he could really do was focus on trying to kill Djazz, or at least disable him for long enough that they could make good their escape... and hope that doing so didn't inadvertently screw them all, cause at this point, Wave couldn't figure out what the hell was going on here...

On board the replica pirate ship that was built to look exactly like the infamous Beast Blood Pirate ship, Alice watching in horror as things seemed to go from averagely good to really bad in the blink of an eye. Pushing herself up as her emerald eyes grew wide as dinner plates as she witnessed something that was sort of the norm for her so called Captain but something wasn't right. Fudo had taken much much worst beatings and cuts before this, but for some reason, this time was different. For a moment it seemed Fudo lost all his Zoan aspects and lost nearly all his strength. She couldn't tell what happened but in the speed of the blinking eye, Djazz had completely countered Fudo's massive assault, and deal a savage injury. Not only that but Djazz had stopped the sword of the Golden haired brat named Wave as well.

What in the world would of caused such a thing? Fudo was stumbling backwards. It was as if his whole left side was gone numb as his human chest turned red from the clean cut that stretched from his shoulder to hip. Alice's arms shook as she forced herself up from the Throne made of sand and onto the railing. The sand throne fell away just in time as well as luck would have it as she watched Wave back away as Ryuu was preforming more acts of magic with his Devil Fruit powers. It seemed The man was indeed a Logia type as he lifted Wave and Fudo up and away from Djazz before the rather handsome and sharply dressed man could deal any more damage. In addition, A Dragon's head formed and engulfed Djazz. She knew that a man who could sand by as a Shichi's crew mate would be able to easily survive such an attack. It seemed that the man was going to use this as his possible way of escaping the wrath of the Marines as the Buster call loomed even closer towards them.

Had Alice had the chance to stop and ponder this, she as well as her sister were not scared of such a threat. Any sane being would of turned a pair of white pants yellow and brown at the thought of a Buster Call being aimed at the very same island that person was on. Perhaps it was due to the fact that herself and her sister were just used to constantly dealing with life or death events that they had grown numb to it. This would not reflect for the two new guests as they had no information of what was going on either. As the Ruby red head looked on as Fudo using some sort of last reserves of energy fly in the air and crash land next to her. Fudo Then started shouting as he clenched at his chest that they needed to get out of the area and sail away now. However, Alice was not able to do much physically and what made matters worst. the Directions were somewhat vague. Did Fudo mean for them to travel South East or South West. Plus, They had to sail around the island to the other side before then as well. Before Alice could even respond, Fudo charged off back to the Beach. This was far worst then she had ever imagined.

Fudo had a look in his eye that she had never seen before. It was a look that spoke volumes about just how bad of a spot everyone was in. Fudo looked scared. He was tired, tired to the point of passing out or killing over. But most importantly, He looked scared. Taking the knowledge at hand and running with it, Alice stepped up so to speak and turned herself around along the railing. It was almost like it was back in her Marine days but oh how things had changed. Now she was on the other end of the mighty hammer of justice. "You heard the man, let's move it!!! Jack, Twi, Sorry but I need all able hands on deck. Welcome the the Pirate life ladies! Ookami, Kuro, raise the anchors and release the sails!! Doc!! Use your powers to push us along a path to travel south!! Everyone else, get everything loaded up and strapped down!! Twi, you seem smart enough, can you pilot this ship?! Jack right?! Help with anything you might be able to help with! Doc, You stay with Fudo! Keep Him Alive! That goes to you too Goldie Locks!! I swear if either of you let even one more hair on his head go harmed, You are going to have my fist and a rather large bomb up your respective rears!! Got it!? Lets go Lets go Lets go go go go!!"

Alice barked out orders, putting where people would need to go and where she felt would be best in the short amount of info she had to go with. Kuro was a bit of an idiot but he would be able to man the wooden turn crank to lift both of the anchors from the sea floor. Ookami could fly or do whatever to take the rope that bound the sails and remove them. Allowing the cloth sails to unroll and let the power of the wind carry them along. Ryuu seemed powerful enough as she figured while he was on the beach, he could force the sand and waves to propel the ship in one of two directions so that they could sail due south to the other side of the ship. With him on the ship and such, he could attend to Fudo and his wounds. Twi with the way she spoke was a female of high enough intellect that Alice figured she would be able to navigate the ship along as Fudo directed. From the looks of the well endowed blond named Fapple Jack, Alice figured she would be best filling in where ever she could. As per Alice herself. Someone had to fill in the void of power and keep a level head. Alice was suspecting Fudo was staying behind to buy them time or to sacrifice himself. It was something the meat head would pull. Thankfully, this would not be the case as he seemed to have the brains left in his head to keep Goldie Locks also known as Wave with him and Alice ordered Ryuu to stay with them as well. Alice pulled on one of the poles on the railing and broke it off. Using it as best she could as a make shift cane. The ruby haired demolitions export Closed her eyes as she tried to think what could they do next. If they were to travel South West or South East, this would Allow them enough to turn around and flank this threat. After all, they would figure the group would travel south away from them in the same direction, not to then travle the other way. "Someone get me a Chart and find us the nearest Island to get too!! Fast!!

She's ah vampire… r-right course how could she not be, yer pirates after all, ah shouldn’t question tha logic of these things aheheh…” Fapple laughed to herself awkwardly as Keiko climbed out of her coffin and Alice explained that she was a vampire. Fapple was always a bit superstitious so naturally she was under the impression that Vampires were real. Twi on the other hand being of the more educated and intellectual element simply rolled her eyes. Obviously she wasn’t a real vampire, and was just suffering some sort of mental deficiency or delusion to believe she was. Still she would refrain from calling her out on it least the crew turn on them abruptly and do terrible things to them in their sleep. Though in all fairness they might do that anyway, they’d likely have to sleep in shifts.

It was only now that their doctor had descended to the ground below they noticed that there was a considerable amount of fighting going on down there. Morbid curiosity was beginning to get the best of them both and they were tempted to make their way to the edge of the ship and peer down, but before they could some hulking beast of a Zoan man flew through the air and more or less crashed into the deck. He was worn, ragged, bleeding heavily, and looked like he had been on the losing end of a fight with a lawnmower. He aggressively barked several orders for retreat, leading the duo to thin this was their captain Fudo, and then declared he would stay behind to stall the marines that were arriving.

Wait the Marines are here?!?” Twi stammered taking a step back. Her heart began to race. Wasn’t this good for them? It meant they could escape the island without needing to associate with the pirates themselves. She flashed Fapple a hopeful look which was quickly snuffed out by a discouraging grimace from the country gal. Fapple had done plenty of jobs for the marines, and she knew how they operated. If they really were coming here whether they were a part of the Beast Blood Pirates crew meant nothing, they’d get blown to pieces or a date with the hangman no matter what.

Ah know what yer thinkin Twi, and it won’t work. Marines got their own codes, and they prefer ta shoot first, label everyone dead a pirate, and call it a day. It likely don’t matter if we surrendered ta them or not, they’d hang us just the same not wantin ta take any chances with letting a pirate escape no matter what. Fer better or worse we’re in tha thick of it now, best make tha best of it and try’n roll with tha punches.” Fapple responded, laying it out in no uncertain terms that their fates were currently bound to the survival of the Beast blood Pirates. With any luck they might not get recognized and fly just far enough under the radar that if they managed to escape they could slip away till the heat dies down. Though if it turned out they did get bounties they’d have to make an awful lot of hard life choices and adjustments in the near future. Still despite all that it beat starving to death on a desert island, thank god for silver linings. Alice started to take charge and ordered them to help prepare the ship to leave. She asked Twi if she could handle navigation. Twi gulped nervously and held up her hands in a defensive posture.

M-Me? Ahhh w-well I suppose a read a few books on navigation but I’ve never… I mean I’m not a very good sailor and what few ships I have steered were under heavy guidance and supervision and never this big… still if you’re asking me it’s probably because you don’t have any other options available. Alright I’ll do my best!” Twi stammered before finally getting her confidence together and running to take the wheel. She was a total amateur at this but she’d have to figure it out somehow. Thankfully she was a quick learned and while the initial launch would certainly be rocky she’d only get better as time went on. Despite being on the verge of collapsing adrenaline rushed through her veins and gave her the strength she needed to push through the pain of hunger and fatigue.

Well we’re really stuck in tha molasses this time… look don’t freak out er anything but ah’m already worn out from hunger, if ah’m gonna help ya’ll get this thing movin ah’m gonna need a bit of a boost in strength. So ah’m gonna use one of mah Zoan forms, so don’t think ah’m gonna attack ya’ll er nothing right?” Fapple explained warning them that she was an ability user and to not take it as an aggressive action. She shifted to her Farm Hands’ form growing a few inches in height and her body sprouting mussy dirty fur all over it. Her nose began to extend into a short rounded muzzle and her ears sunk into her skin and popped out the top of her head in 2 long pointed twitching animal ears. A blonde tail extended from a hole conveniently cut into the back of her overalls and whipped back and forth as the nerves aligned themselves, a matching blonde hue to her hair tied off at the end with a red elastic hair band to keep it in a single solidified clump. Fapple’s eyes scanned over the vessel they were to use to escape looking for things that needed to be done. While she had none of that fancy navigating or book learning she had built enough ships she was intimately familiar. She quickly identified several structural integrity issues and began to categorize them in order from most to least important and then weighing how much time and effort each one would take to address.

Alright before we set off ah’mma need ta patch up a few spots.” Fapple explained as she ran over to the main sail and ran her hands across it, feeling the firmness of it she knocked on the wood pressing her ear to post and listening carefully to the reverberations. She turned her nose to the air and gave a few quick sniffs letting her enhanced senses further guide her judgment. Locating the biggest problem her eyes scanned the deck for some materials she could use. She quickly located a nearby barrel and began to disassemble it for it wood, metal, and nails. Collecting the pieces she grabbed one of the ropes and used it to hoist herself up, her hair shifted into several small bundles with held the raw materials she had salvaged as she ascended the rope to get to the nearest area. Locating the fractured beam she began to quickly arrange the boards and nails. Rather than use a hammer which she didn’t have she pounded the nails in with her hoof covered fingers using the hardened keratin coated digits as a makeshift hammer. Once she was finished patching up that spot she used her heightened view to locate a few other trouble spots. She’d need to address them before long, but for the time being the biggest structural weakness had been identified and fixed. She descended the rope and quickly located Alice.

Alright ah fixed tha biggest threat ta tha ship failin, there are others but if’n we need ta leave in a hurry they can wait fer a few hours before ah’ll need ta take care of them. Fer now we should be good to set off.” Fapple reported in an efficient and professional manner as she relayed the current situation with the ships stability and her progress towards getting it in good shape.

"So.. you can control these blades huh..." Djazz said, looking at the blades that might as well have just been scraps of metal from the look of their quality. But after catching a glimpse of the technique and how he hadn't yet attempted to control anything else implied that his telekinesis was limited to these metal weapons... Ohh wait... metal weapons. Metal? he said, thinking for a moment that perhaps this guy was able to control them in the same way Djazz made slight of hand defenses. He did so using electromagnets in his gloves, but what if this guy was able to -control- metal things like a magnet? It wouldn't surprise him, after all he hadn't run up across any with odd abilities similar to that just yet. Had his intuition about the possibilities of this crazy world finally proven helpful!?

Djazz was standing a good 20meters away from the sand pile that Wave was stabbing his weapons into. It seemed as though the man had not yet caught on to the fact that he was 'on their side', though to be fair, it wasn't easy to tell from looking at Fudo's current condition.

But what had happened!? How did he end up where he was? How was Wave attacking nothing but a sand pile?

Moments after his attack on Fudo carved into Fudo, the ground started acting a bit funny. And not early 2000s Chris Rock funny, like, more like 'I'm pretty sure this is the result of some devil fruit trick' funny. Shifting under him, the give of gravity was all it took for Djazz to enter a sort of 'calculated panic' in which he scurried as carefully as possible to evade what was apparently the bleach sand itself coming up to encase him. Luckily, beaches these days were more than just sand, but rocks as well! As the sand was shifted and manipulated, the swordsman scurried to safe ground, "Man.. it's a good thing all geographic locations aren't completely uniform in their configuration..." He said, thanking the chaotic design of creation. Tyche was after all named after the primordial deity of Fate and Luck. So far the blade had been nothing more than a good luck charm in his hands.

Which reminded him of how much he was going to miss it...

Surely Djazz's scurry would have been punished, but it seemed as though whatever force had attempted to swallow him into the sand had also pushed Wave and Fudo away from him. Was it trying to save the two pirates? It was only then that he saw a man's hand literally form out of sand itself, A logia..? He thought to himself as he recognized the man who appeared to be the doctor of the ship.

B-but wait! Djazz wasn't 'dead' yet! They couldn't just leave now that he told em' where to go! Shit! What was he going to do!? He was going to have to actually cut their ship in half now like an asshole! And just when he was starting to get like this group of misfits. But as Djazz saw the two return from the ship to face off with Djazz once again, he exhaled a sigh of relief.

And so we return to the present with Wave having mistakenly shot a pile of sand with a medley of metal and Fudo, ever the animal, barking about not being 'done' quite yet. The man was bleeding chest down at this point; a wound that ultimately looked worse than it actually was, but still, at this rate he would still run the risk of bleeding out from fighting. Djazz had no intention of having Fudo killed, Maybe... it's about time to wrap this up. he thought to himself as he regripped his blade, his mind already stirring with a scene to end this with, "A captain with King's Haki... A Logia who can manipulate sand, what a presume to be a Paramecia human magnet... and that's only what I've seen here. Yes, I can see now. You're not done here are you! If you allowed to continue to live... well you and this crew might become a real danger one day..." his words and thoughts blending together as he raised his blade. If one listened closely, they would almost hear endearment in the tone of his words. If only he had ended up with this group of rag-tag adventurers instead of men like Izuru and Illya.. he wondered if he would still in this position, hoping to erase his very name if only for the opportunity to have some peace and quiet.

When suddenly... something not so quiet!

*BANG!*
The sound of gun fire?

It would seem as though Fudo's crew was preparing the ship to sail and having seen this, some of the marines waiting in ambush weren't so patient to wait for Djazz. Djazz had hardly noticed until now, but dozens of troops had already managed to find hidden positions along the jungle treeline and were now storming the beach; guns raised, and swords brandished. While this expedited this process a bit, Djazz couldn't help but smile from the timing, "AND THAT IS WHY I MUST ELIMINATE YOU HEAR AND NOW!" Djazz roared with all of the bravado of a good actor; once again putting on a front as his foot pivot in place as his sword ripped through what seemed to be time and space; in many ways defying physics as a shockwave emanated outward from the blade.

The shockwave swirled around Fudo and Djazz in a circle before breaching upward into an unholy collumn of spinning blades. With the upward draft, this slicing tornado brought with it sand and particulate from the ground, as well as more than a good majority of Wave's weapon, as it brought them into the air and chewed them up. It was like the previous whirlwind he had used but now on a much greater scale.

Inside the Tornado of blades, Fudo and Djazz stood within the eye of the storm, unharmed, unheard and unseen. Djazz reached up to his shoulder and tore off the emblem from his shoulder guard before throwing it to the ground, "The walls of this tornado... flesh and bone don't stand a chance against it." He said, picking up a pebble as he stood errect and tossed it at the shockwave of blade, causing it to merely disintegrate., "One would believe that if you had gotten the better of me... and thrown me into my own attack? Well there would be nothing left of me to speak of." he said, "And as for you? Well, you'd have earned that scar on your chest, ehh? he said with a cheeky smile as he walked over to Fudo, slowly sliding his sword back into it's scabbard, and removed the scabbard from his belt.

"This world, Fudo... it has shown me how small I really am. It has taken everything from me without me having a say in the matter. But now... I will give something of my own free will." He said, extending his arm, grasping his sheathed blade, "This is Tyche. She is fiesty but she has kept me going all of this time. She can't hear you but... chat with her every once in awhile would ya? I don't care what you do with her. Sell 'er, Put 'er on the wall as a trophie. Whatever. Just... make sure no matter where she is, that someone fucking talks to her from time to time. It's not even a her, it's an 'it', damnit."

He said, the tear rolling down his eyes as he released the sword from his hand. Whether Fudo caught it or not was up to him. He turned away, as his skin hardened black; extending head to toe as he walked directly toward the tornado of blades that had previously chewed up a rock and spit out dust. Walking into the wall, his steel hard haki would prevent him from being immediately disintegrated. With sand kicked into the air and limiting visibility, almost none would watch Djazz walk to the ocean and swim out to sea... though it was hard to say exactly where he was swimming to...
The sea tasted like tears...

----Djazz Outro----

MEANWHILE!

The marines were freakin' out! Here they had been all gungho about charing Fudo and friends, but this tornado was way too crazy! They had tried shooting it, but nothing happened and anyone who walked towards it was sucked up and diced like meat in a blender! This was some spoopy shit!

So imagine their surprise when the dust finally settled and all that was left standing there was Fudo Saiken covered in blood, with no determination of -who- the blood belonged to! He looked a fucking monster. Like a Beast covered in Blood! LIKE A BEAST BLOOD!?

Djazz seemed to have evaded his attack, an expected development given his abilities, yet no less disappointing. His plan had been improvised on the spot and without any knowledge of it being shared between the two, it was only natural Djazz would have evaded the "attack". Ryuuchi did still hope that Djazz would have been distracted enough for him to hit, whereupon he would have no doubt recognized the intent behind it, but none of it mattered anymore. As the women on the ship began preparations for the crew's daring escape, under the directions of Alice, the marines seemed to finally come out of hiding and initiated their assault on the pirates. Things were progressing far too quickly.

As a bullet impacted with Ryuuchi's shoulder, part of his body was instantly converted into sand and was blow off, causing the rest of his arm to fall off. Not even bothering to react to shot from the marines as they began appearing, Ryuuchi's eyes shifted to Djazz both him and Fudo were enveloped by a raging cyclone. There would be one of two outcomes from this move by Djazz, he would either have finally decided to just kill Fudo and was in the process of doing so or he would allow Fudo to emerge seemingly victorious. Either way, it was out of his hands for even with his logia form's near-invulnerability, he doubted his ability to enter such a raging tornado and be of any help.

Ryuuchi finally acknowledged the marines on the beach as a few more shots were fired, some hitting Djazz's tornado and some hitting his own body, blowing off more limbs and part of his head. Sand began rising from the ground, slowly moving to where he had been hit and reforming his body, much to the marine's surprise. His eyes moved from the marines, back to the ship, then to Wave and finally to the tornado as it vanished, revealing Fudo in all his bloody glory. Djazz was nowhere to be found, no doubt having used his chance to escape and complete is faux-demise at the hands of the pirates.

"We don't have time to play with these marines. Wave, would you kindly move the ship away from here? Navigating while surrounded by marines might be a tad tricky." Ryuuchi shouted up at Wave as he turned his back to the ship so he could face the marine threat on land "You two do go ahead, I'll keep them busy for the moment. I was ordered to keep you safe Fudo, thus it is imperative that you leave the battlefield to recuperate or my reputation will be tarnished." he looked back for a moment and smiled, before seemingly vanishing.

Using one of his clan's signature movement techniques, Ryuuchi all but vanished to the low ranked marine's eyes and midst their ranks. Most of them didn't seem to notice and those with their eyes already turned where he stopped seemed shocked and confused. Ryuuchi's right hand turned do sand, forming an almost claw like appearance before plunging it straight into the ground.

"Greetings and farewell." Ryuuchi mumbled as the air itself seemed to become dry.

Some would say that the sand logia's greatest strength is its perfect control over sand, others believe that the near invulnerability is its most lethal weapon...but the marines would realize what was probably its most dangerous power, the ability to drain all moisture from living beings. This power he unleashed upon the poor marine grunts would not eliminate all of them, but it would certainly thin out the ranks considerably. All those around him would have all moisture in their bodies drained away. Their bodies would dry up immediately, taking their lives and turning them into feeble skinned skeletons and even their clothing and equipment would suffer after a while as death literally surrounded Ryuuchi.
