Doraga was, thankfully, a bit more directionally focused than Izzy was as she fled from the Marines. It was quite a sight to behold as the rather conspicuous woman ran through the streets of Kuroi Village as more and more Marines joined in the case behind her. The only reason she was able to do so well in fleeing them was her ability to just jump over most of the people in the way. All of that strength training was definitely going to good use, but not the way she had intended. After a bit however, the Marines were starting to get things together to call ahead with a Den Den Mushi in an attempt to try to pincer her in. It seemed like her having knocked out some of them had really gotten the fires of Justice burning in them, or at least some anger. As Doraga turned a corner towards the docks, there were a few Marine set up to intercept her, some with swords and others with some rifles set up. The sounds of the Marines still behind her were still closing in as all of the alleys in between her and wall of Marines were equally blocked off. She came to a stop to catch her breath and entertain her options. There was Strength in numbers and part of her wanted to test her strength against their, but... that probably wasn't the best option at this point. If she wanted to do that she wouldn't have ran. ”YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!” one of the Marine's in the group in front of her shouted as the Marines behind her caught up and finished the circle. Doraga sighed and grabbed the edge of her hat, ”Good grief...” Taking a deep breath she ran forward towards the group of Marines right in front of her. In a panic the Riflemen fired at her, hitting her a few times but nowhere vital, with some of them hitting her hardened arms and legs. Unflinching she continued to rush forward towards them before jumping up, not quite high enough to get over the group of Marines, but enough to land on top of an unsuspecting one. Using the poor Marine she kicked off of him further into the air and towards the building nearby, landing on it with a roll. Getting to her feet she started moving again, jumping from roof to roof on her way to the docks, spotting a small, empty boat from her higher-up vantage point. After that it was a short run to it. Sure, it was someone else's but that didn't really matter to her at the moment. These docks were fairly well monitored and the gap pulling the Marines away form here to catch her wouldn't last long. Landing next to it she crushed the rope tying it to the dock in two with her strong grip and hopped on, unfurling the sail and pushing off to sea. Her rooftop stunt had managed to shake the Marines for now, but she needed to get off of Hitsuji Archipelago before they could catch up. |

Izzy pulled the u-turn and began retracing his steps. Well, not exactly 'retracing' per se, because that was surely gonna get him some attention with the marines. And that, my dear friends, was something that he wasn't in the greatest mood for right now. They'd be all deadset on arresting him, and he'd just be complaining about wanting to go home and some lady named Miranda not reading him his rights. It's happened before. Doubt it won't happen again. He made sure to hug any walls that he was near, listening out for any signs of the local law enforcement. He'd hear some hurrying footsteps every now and again, which did nothing but boost his adrenaline. Most times they were belonging to kids playing or, people late to a meeting or something. The rare few times that they were marine footsteps, he wasn't around long enough to let them see his face. Sticking to the alleyways was the plan, and so far Izzy had a good time with that. Until a random encounter with a lone officer kind of ruined that entire deal. In fact, it was probably (mainly) his fault; he simply wasn't watching where he was heading and boom! Marine. And so he began to run, not giving a care about the officer's attempts to get him to stop. Verbally, or physically, neither mattered to him. All he wanted to do was reach the docks so he could leave and ponder over what went wrong today and how he could fix it so this type of thing didn't happen again. Kind of like a post-evaluation...but for idiotic murderers. His plan of sticking to alleyways and backstreets quickly went to hell after that. He was on main roads and even entered a house at some point. The people were nice about it, given the fact that some random stranger entered their house with a blood stain on his shirt trying to explain that he needed to exit their back door really quickly. Even after that little incident, he couldn't stick with his plan anymore. Too much worrying on his mind about marines just camping out in the alleys now, so he hoped that now he would be a bit safer if he just tried to bolt to the docks and hope no marines saw him. Funny, how things tend to not go the way you dearly hope them to. While he thought over how the marines were going to catch him or, more like, how they would try to catch him, a little dilemma had come up. You see, he and Doraga were both running from marines, so he believed that he'd have some openings here and there to get to his boat. However, he was a bit shocked when he found his way to the docks...and found marines in force there. Not only that, but a little ship was sailing away and, damn it all, it had to be his ship. Which meant Doraga robbed him of his ship... And his chances of quickly leaving this island... ...Crap. "She had to go off and steal my ship?" He asked himself, ducking into a nearby alleyway to hide from any pursuing officers. Thankfully he was able to elude them, but the ship thing was a pain in the ass. Now he'd have to steal someone else's ship because someone else stole his ship. This is exactly what people meant when they told him that karma was a bitch. And she is, no doubt about that. Now, he had to plan. How was he going to get off of this place in one piece? The marines were on the docks, so he'd have to find some way around them to get to a ship. Or was he? It seemed as if the marines had actually begun leaving the docks in a hurry, as if something more important had come to their attention. That was all fine to him, so long as it didn't involve them blocking his way to freedom then they could go and do whatever the hell they wanted to. Once he was absolutely sure the coast was clear he darted towards the docks and looked to rob the nearest ship he could find. Which, unfortunately, was a ship that was just like his...only pink. Seriously? His getaway vehicle, his means of transportation across the vast waters of the ocean...was a little pink ship? Okay, obviously Doraga did this on purpose, there was no way she just happened upon his ship first. Unless...she wasn't a fan of the color either? No time to care, he quickly untied the rope holding it to the dock and jumped in. Giving it a hefty push he grabbed the oars and began to paddle away...realizing that the escape would have been much easier had he opened the sails. After a facepalm, he opened the sails and watched as he left the island he killed someone on behind. Also, he apparently caught the attention of someone. After looking closer, it was the person whose ship he had just stolen. Which was, oddly enough, a large dude. He was ranting and steaming that a certain someone was gonna get their asses kicked when he found him, but Izzy paid it no mind. Besides, there was only one thing he could say now to at least calm the man down. "Sorry! I'll try not to sink it!" |
