Marines Present Waves fifty iron blades rained down on exposed Marine outposts and paths. The lower grade marines had no idea of the pirates presence or the presence of his blades. All fifty blade fell with a low whistle, similar to that of whistling wnd. Even with the noises accompanying the blades, by the time any marines were aware of them, it would be too late. Plunging through cloth tents and and flesh like butter. The iron swords, made quick work of most of the external forces. Not falli all at once, a few marines would be able to spot some of the carnage. Some would even get a moment or two to attempt to flee, however the blades would already be upon them. Nearly five dozen ensigns would be captured in the iron bite of Wave Dalzeel. Their bloodied impaled bodies either pinned to the sand or impaled agaisnt some sort of surface. Very few of the men would survive their injuries, most died instantly from either the force or shock. But the ones that did cried out in agony, some even pulling out their den den to call for their superiors. Wave's call out to them would prove to work just as fine as the den den, as it alerted all the higher ranking men to his position. Having disturbed a vessel with his powers, and screamed Wave had successfully placed a serious target on his head. Perhaps roaring out his name and location would prove to be a dire mistake. Speaking amongst one another through den den, almost all of the high ranks marines would be speaking with one another,
Almost immediately after yelling, wave would become the center most attention for the base. Blaring alarms would sound, and men both aboard vessels and within the base would now be completely aware of his prescience. Off shore, upon the larger warships, the large cannons would fire. Two in total would fire a barrage of cannons at the pirate. What would he do? Edited by Fudo Saiken, Oct 1 2015, 12:15 PM.

Raze the Jungle (Previous SL for Godric, how he got here) The night had been long, with the exhausting fights the lion man had went through, it was no wonder he had collapsed in the jungle. Dirt rolled over his body, the rain had caused the muddy water to cloak his body and somehow keep him safe from wandering predators by masking his scent. He had woken up several hours later, gasping for air, some dirt had been sucked up his nose and woken him up violently. He looked around, the sun beaming down on his spot in the jungle, heating warming his head as he coughed up dirt and what could have been worms wiggling in his mouth. "Fuck!" It was all he could think of saying after finally catching his breath. Dirt began to roll over his head, his eyes starting to focus us on the area. He had almost forgotten he was in the jungle and what he was suppose to be doing, "Dr.Xenos!" he cried out, his eyes widening as the realization hit him. He looked up, the sun was glaring back, the night was over and the ship was most likely gone. At least, he was lead to believe it was gone based on the conversation he had with the Commander on the den den mushi. The white haired teen got to his feet, letting the dry dirt fall off of him. "He's gone...." he whispered as the realization sunk in finally and acceptance was now his only option left to feel. He looked around him, it was slient, something he had no heard in a while. Usually by now some dinosaur was trying to kill him or some bounty hunters were trying to capture him or some marines were trying to arrest him. This island had been nothing but trouble since the moment he set foot on it. "I guess I should head for the marine base then, I'm sure I can get some kind of clue of where they shipped to the doctor off to. He said as he transformed into a full version of his zoan form, growing the full golden mane of the nemean lion as well as completely mimicking it's features. He grew up to 10 feet tall, standing on all 4 legs. He growled loudly, the growl almost feeling like the shockwave attack he had used against the last bounty hunter he encountered. The man who had left the pain in his chest. His paws were planted firmly on the ground as he smelled the air, there was still gun powder in the air for some reason, the wind was blowing it from the beach. Maybe the base was there, it was as good a place to start as any. With that, the lion took off, roaming through the jungle in search of some marines.

Wave hovered in the air just offshore, in between the battleships and the marine base. The wind whipped at his hair and his jacket. His keen red eyes stared unblinking at the marine base where his swords had apparently struck their marks well. As sirens began blaring from the impromptu base, Wave smiled and closed his eyes, basking in the sound. This was what he had set sail for. This is what he had been missing these last few weeks. Excitement. He hadn't had much hope for anything from this uninhabited island, but things were certainly looking up now. A base like this was sure to have a large number of marines and probably officers as well. Especially with the 5 battleships. Surely each one had to have a captain and probably a first officer. One of the captains was likely that dinosaur-zoan user he had already defeated. That probably left 4 captains and their second-in-commands. Maybe 9 officers total. Who knew what their abilities might be? It would certainly be fun to find out. As Wave thought in happiness on these things, he was suddenly wrenched from his reverie by the sound of cannon fire. It seemed that the crews of two of the battleships had gotten the gist of what was going on (or at least figured out that they were under attack) and opened fire with their main batteries. Wave smirked at this. He was just one man, floating in the air. He presented a small target at the best of times, and would be hard to hit for the massive cannons. Wave raised his arm towards the incoming artillery. His first thought was to use his repel technique to block the incoming fire, but then he had a better idea. Mass Effect. Wave reached out with his favorite technique. Rather than stopping the forward motion of the cannonballs, which was considerably powerful, he instead allowed them to continue moving forward. He used his powers to nudge the oncoming cannonballs to either side of himself. It was a simple task and worked wonderfully as the artillery shot through the air to either side of him. The wind whipped up by the rocketing cannonballs blew his jacket back to billow out behind him. Wave turned to watch as the artillery fire flew past him, straight towards the base onshore. The shots from the battleships hit home, striking the marine base and exploding in powerful blasts of heat and flame. They should easily be able to destroy the simple brick and stone structures and blow away the tents. The hastily constructed base was ill-prepared to handle the incoming onslaught, and would likely be decimated by the attack from not one but two headquarters battleships. Wave smiled as he watched, and began to laugh at how easy it was to control the flow of this battle thus far. He hung there in the air clutching his chest as he laughed maniacally. Zah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Techiques

Wave's misdirection would succeed in doing considerable damage to the fort and outer perimeter of it. Those that had died previously were blasted further, ruining many of the chances of their corpses being reunited with their families. The cannons striking the outside would cause considerable damage to the the surrounding grounds and even some of Wave's blades were caught in the concussive blast and shoved aside if not damaged outright. The marine base was being damaged but not anywhere close enough to warrant too much fear from the marines inside. Watching from one of the battle ships, marine commander Delancy Willhelm was able to clearly spot Wave. Delancy was a well built man of average height. He had a peach completion, and shaggy brown hair that was more or less shoulder length. he wore a dark blue tank top, and avergae marine pants and boots, he wore a average marine cap, and also had a comically large black satchel. "Cease fire, cease fire men! Cannons would do no good. That man is a devil fruit user! Get the anti-air artillery, set them to explode between 400 and 365 meters. that should be within range on him. Hurry, we mustn't waste time! Johnathon, confirm the presence of only a single man. I'll take my den den with me! It's time to ride! " Reaching into his satchel he pulled out some folding paper and with the quickest precision folded it into a massive paper airplane; about seven feet in height. Throwing it into the air, the piece of paper flew high before nose diving in front of the battle ship. AS it descended he jumped from the ship, landing on the paper, which he then imbued with haki. The haki imbued craft supported his weight and didn't crumple under pressure. Flying towards wave, Delancy rode the paper airplane like a surfboard. As he approached the marine vessels would begin to fire the anti-air cannons. The cannons would fly past Delancy and would implode on Wave if he used the previous strategy. "Wave Dalzeel! I hope you fly as well as you kill! The sky is my turf!" Delancy yelled loudly as he reached his left arm into his satchel. Delancy Willhelm

Godric moved through the jungle swiftly, in the distance he could hear the sound of alarms going off in the distance. The eventual outcome would be the sound driving away some of the larger but less intimidating animals of the jungle away from the sound. Unfortunately for Godric, he was in their path and it wasn't looking good. Dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes cam rushing through the trees, knocking 200 and 300 year old trees like they were fresh twigs. Long necks stomped their way over some of the small dinosaurs while the triceratops seemed to bulldoze their way through any obstacles in their path using their three horns. "I'm definitely not in the mood for this!" The golden lion cried out, planting all four paws firmly on the cold dirt beneath his feet. He inhaled deeply, expanding his chest muscles before release a loud, heaven shaking roar. The roar generated a massive shockwave that collided with the first of the beasts in the stampede, stopping the beast instantly and pushing it back into the other oncoming dinosaurs. The result was the dinosaurs banging into each other and knocking the other down until there was literately a mountain of dinosaurs in front of him. Godric had no other choice but to quickly scale the mountain and climb over it to continue moving. The Lion quickly made his way up the crowd of dinosaurs, clawing and pouncing up to continue to elevate himself until he reached the peak. At which point Godric looked over the dinosaurs that had been knocked over and those that separated into other directions of the jungle. He had successfully stopped the stampede before it could get any worse, but the crowd of currently incapacitated dinosaurs brought out the nearby predictors of the jungle. It wasn't long before Large dinosaurs began to pounce out of the jungle and feed as well as some smaller raptors. Godric looked over this and simply growled loudly so that they could all hear him before he began moving again, hoping the growl was intimidating enough to keep them off of him.

Wave had hoped that the cannons would keep firing, so he could continue to have some fun with the cannonballs. Unfortunately, the marines seemed to be well-organized and smart enough to figure out that the shots they had just fired had pulverized their own base, and so the cannon fire ceased. Wave sneered. Suppose I showed my hand a little early there. That's a shame. If they start firing again, it probably won't be normal artillery rounds. They're gonna try and get tricky on me I figure. But, that could be fun as well. I've got more than one trick up my sleeve. Wave turned to look back at the base. The cannon barrage had done it's job pretty well. Most of the camp was in tatters. Wave was surprised to see the brick buildings still standing. Cannon fire from marine battleships should have been more than powerful enough to take care of such simple structures. Guess he wasn't lucky enough to have caused a direct hit. Shame, he was somewhat curious what was inside those structures. Why did the marines even build them in the first place? Were they considering building a more substantial base here on this uninhabited island? Wave glanced back at the small fleet of ships behind him. As he scanned over them, he saw something odd suddenly take off from one of the central ships. It was triangular in design and seemed to float on the wind. A glider? Wave muttered to himself in confusion. He had never seen marines, or anyone for that matter, using a glider off of a ship before, and never in a combat situation. It seemed like an extremely odd thing for the marines to do, and it made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. In this sea of abnormality, usually abnormal things spelled bad luck. As he watched the glider take off, it shot up into the air and stalled, flipping around to plummet back down towards the water. As the craft plummeted, Wave saw what appeared to be a person jump off the ship, onto the glider, and swung the nose back up to fly straight over the water right towards him. That's certainly an interesting trick. Wave mused to himself. Suddenly, Wave was startled from the distraction of the glider by the roar of cannon fire. The ships were firing off their main guns again, this time in a more orderly fashion as all 5 ships were firing on him. A quick glance told Wave that they were still firing cannonballs rather than grape shot (which is what he would have fired at a small flying target), however Wave was not so naive as to think that they were still firing regular shot. He was sure that there was something special about these balls, and he wasn't going to sit around to wait to find out what that was. Wave waited for a second, allowing the artillery shots to catch up to the strange glider-man, then he flung his right arm out to the side, fingers together and pointing out straight in a blade-like cutting motion. Rend! In midair, the cannonballs would suddenly be ripped in half by an unseen force. The large quantity of gunpowder contained inside the explosives would be ignited as it hit the still-lit fuses and the air between Wave and the battleships and all around the little glider would suddenly erupt in flames and heat, smoke billowing outwards as pieces of metal shrapnel were flung around in the cloud and fell to the water below leaving little smoke trails. Wave lowered his right arm and grinned. You'll have to do better than that, Marines. Techniques

A read on the pirates abilities, that's all Delancy needed, being the marksman and scout that he was he was usually sent out to deal with unknown targets. Getting a read on an enemy is what he did, and he did it will. Focusing on the young pirate Wave, Delancy would gain a premonition of the mans next attack. The premonition would consist of the cannonballs being torn apart and exploding violently across his enire body; causing fatal wounds. Using his observation Haki in that moment allowed him enough time to perceive the attack and properly react. Having reached into his satchel already, Delacy's hands were hard at work, folding and crafting quite a few paper planes to attack the pirate with. Each one served their own purpose, comprised of several materials with all different properties. Having rested his feet upon the paper plane, he would apply pressure to the rear of the paper aircraft as he lowered his profile on it. The shift caused his speed to increase tremendously and the marine would fly upwards higher into the air. At this point he would toss a good three smaller paper planes backward as the underbelly of his craft rose. Those paper planes were very lightly colored as to obscure their image against the sky. The paper planes would move at quickly in this moment as were tossed backwards as to hide their image from Wave. the planes would loop behind the explosions aftermath, and hide them from Waves vision further. After looping they would soar from under the explosive cloud towards wave. As he rose, Delancy would laugh. "Tehehhehehheheehehe! So that's it! You must have Jisha!" The marine spoke into his den den loudly. As he swooped in the air, and continued to soar towards Wave. His paper planes soaring under him, masked by the shimmering light of the sea. They would remain low until they eventually would swoop upwards towards waves face. Techs Edited by Fudo Saiken, Oct 6 2015, 06:57 PM.

Godric moved through the pile of Dinosaurs quickly, his eyes scanning the sides of his body. The predators continued to feast on the incapacitated dinosaurs, pools of blood began to mix with the muddy dirt underneath their feet. Soon the smell of blood over took the entire area, it was like a cloud of this thick smell that continued to come out of the bellies of the beast. The larger predators took their time, eating big chunks of the fallen beats, filling their bellies with meat as they gorged themselves, letting the blood leak down the sides of their faces. Every couple of seconds they would raise their heads the moment Godric walked by, watching and protecting their food from any unwanted visitors. "Relax, I'm just trying to get by." The teen was actually unsure if they understood the words but they didn't give him a reason not to believe that. They continued eating as the teen made his way through them before continuing his hunt. Of course Godric had to stop for a moment, pondering the reason why the alarms were going off in the middle of the day, or was it the morning. The teen was unsure how much time had passed since he passed out, days could have very well gone by. But he wasn't hungry which meant it had to have been only a few hours. Still, he was sure the doctor had to have been gone by now, unless something was holding up their retreat from the island. "Could he really still be here?" It was a thought that crossed his mind but was spoken out loud. The teen wanted to see Dr. Xenos, hopefully find Dr. Alexandra as well if she was in the situation as Xenos. They saved his life once, he wanted to make sure he rapid the favor. "Screw this, I have to hurry, if he's still there, then there might still be time to make it before he leaves." With that, the teen charged full speed through the jungle, a new found spirit in his belly. The foe this time would be the marines, this King and Queen were still out there, guarding Doctor as he was told by the other marines he faced on this island. One Lt. Commander and one Commander, but there was also a strong presence of marines at this base, they might not be the only high ranking officers still at the base. The closer he moved to the direction of the alarms, the more these thoughts raced through the lion's head. A feeling of a last battle passed over him, what awaiting him at the base was still unknown. He might very well be walking into a dead end with the doctor and as a result the end of his life. But, if things were going to improve for him, he'd need to start getting shit done and stop worrying about what came next. |

Wave was pleased with his work. He had surmised that the shots fired from the battleships were likely not regular cannonballs, and he was right. The explosions that ripped through the air from his last move were music to his ears. Like fireworks stepping up the liveliness of the party. He even wiped out that annoying glider-guy... Or so he thought. As Wave watched the smoke and flames of the explosions, he witnessed the glider with the man still attached suddenly burst out of the cloud, flying upwards. The glider was close enough now that Wave could hear the man on board laughing. So the ass hole thought this was a game? Well, Wave supposed he couldn't be the only one enjoying the party. There were probably some marines enjoying the festivities as well. He would just have to make sure he enjoyed it a bit more than everyone else. Wave stretched his arm out behind him, back towards shore as if he were simply reaching out to grab something. Back at the burning base, Wave's swords, the Hagane no Ame, rose from the wreckage. Several of Wave's swords had been wrecked in the barrage from the battleships, but it was a marine camp after all, other swords were present. 50 blades rose into the sky and made their way over to hang in the air behind Wave. He half-glared, half-smirked at the marine on his glider. You laughing Marine? You sure someone in your position is allowed to enjoy this kind of entert- !!! Wave was suddenly cut short. He very quickly became aware of objects closing in on him from below out of his peripheral vision. Wave just barely had time to lean back and raise his arm in front of his face. The 3 paper airplanes the marine had thrown just before the explosion cut upwards, slicing three clean cuts across Wave's raised arm. The cuts were just paper cuts, but they were lengthy and seemed to bleed a little more heavily. Wave lowered his arm, blood trickling down it and glared up at the marine now soaring in the sky above him. A dark smile slowly spread across his face. Good... Very good marine! Way to spice things up! This wouldn't be good sport unless it provided a bit of challenge. It wouldn't be any fun either. But now that you've got my blood running, lets hope you don't let me down. Wave shot up into the sky matching height with the marine. His 50 swords flew upwards with him and spread out through the air. As Wave bobbed and weaved through the air around the glider, the 50 swords swarmed the marine and his plane, coming from every direction and attempting to pierce and cut the man and his paper plane. From a distance, the swords must have looked like a cloud of angry hornets as they mercilessly attacked their foe. As Wave flew, arms crossed in front of himself, his Aegis shield lifted from his back and opened into the full 7-foot shield form and hovered around him. Sorry marine, you may be able to fly, but I have yet to see anything to make me think you can wrest arial superiority from me. Techniques

The alarms continued to ring loudly, echoing through the forest, it was only a matter of time before Godric could track down the source of the sound. His paws slammed into the dirt, kicking it into the air before pushing his body further into the jungle. Godric's mind was focused, more focused than he had ever been. The ray of hope that was this alarm sounding off in the distance proved to fuel the fire that had settled in his stomach. The doctor might still be on the island, thats all he could think off as he moved. "I'm coming Dr. Xenos!" He yelled as he sped pass everything he came in contact with, leaving only large paw prints in his wake. The massive body of the Nemean Lion was easy to handle, he felt comfortable in this full form, as if he had been born this way all along. The teen finally made it to the beach, the alarms still off in the distance, it seemed he had come out of the jungle only a few yards away. He could see the base and what looked like more than one marine battle ship that was firing at something. Godric watched as what looked like a cloud of bees was swarming around the air above the ships that had been firing at something. The base was in a panic so evacuation was a must, he needed to hurry before one of the ships escaped his sight and disappeared into the horizon. His sapphire eyes looked at the things in the air that seemed bigger than the swarm of bees moving around. He was sure there were two men up there, something strange was going on that was for sure and Godric only wished he had the time figure out the situation, first thing first, he needed to get close to the base. With that, the Lion rushed through the sands of the beach, moving closer to the base, his golden mane seeming the glow in the light of the sun as he moved. Once close enough, the beast let out a roar loud enough to echo through the sky, sounding similar to the sound of thunder before a storm. The roar did not create a shockwave, just proved to alert the marines of his presence on the scene, it just wouldn't be as fulfilling if the marines didn't try to stop him from saving the doctor right from the start. A week before the events that are currently unfolding, the marines stationed at Little Garden welcomed a new guest into their little base. An unexpected guest, one could even say he had just dropped in out of nowhere. Some time before, Tatsuo Sasaki had just escaped a marine death squad of sorts that had been sent after his newest "friend" Jackery. The result of the debacle was his escape, thanks to his new pet which aptly named Giant Murder Beetle, due to it being an actual gigantic beetle that had murdered more of the marine death squad than Tatsuo and Jackery combined. Sadly, the relationship with the brainless insect lasted a week before it succumbed to its injuries and dropped into the ocean, where it was eaten by an even bigger Sea King. Tatsuo went from soaring through the skies on the back of a majestic beetle, to floating in the ocean already welcoming the sweet embrace of death. It was however in that moment that he was rescued, dragging him away from the land of the dead and into the deck of a ship, a pirate ship no less! Of course these happy-go-lucky youngsters welcomed him with open arms. Adventurers, they called themselves, not like the criminal type of pirates that murdered and pillaged, among other things. They were an honorable crew that helped the weak fight the unjust strong! They also had a really nice devil fruit as one of their most recent finds and the captain had been gifted a special knife upon leaving home. There was no other choice, they all had to die, except for the crew's pet puppy, he was simply adorable. Unfortunately, it was then that tragedy struck. A marine vessel spotted the wanted pirate crew's ship and proceeded to fire upon it. Tatsuo wept when he witnessed a cannonball kill his new puppy, he boarded the enemy ship, not revealing his newfound powers, however after witnessing the overwhelming force before him, he immediately surrendered. The heartless marines took his new puppy and knife, to think they were supposed to be the good guys! It mattered not, during the few days trip back to their base, Tatsuo managed to convince one of the marines keeping guard over him into attempting to commit suicide and another to give up being a marine and turn to piracy. It was decent enough entertainment for a while, until the captain of the ship grew tired of his playful banter with the crew and strapped a strange mask that prevented him from talking. The rest of the trip was boring, as was the week they stayed at the Little Garden base. Hands cuffed, gagged and with a mask covering his face, the only times Tatsuo was allowed to move his jaw was to eat his meals. Even then talking was strictly prohibited as five marines would keep watch over him to ensure that he could not sway any of the guards with his words. It was an incredibly boring week. All the guards saw him do was sit down and stare at them, an unwavering but calm gaze trained on the guards on duty. "Do you ever get tired of just staring at us?" asked one of the marines while his coworker simply grumbled something about Tatsuo being a creepy bastard. There was no response to be had, not that it mattered as it was then that the alarm rang all-through the base. After the alarm came the explosions that rocked the building. One of the guards instructed the other to keep watch while he was going to see what was going on. The marine that stayed behind rushed to the window to see if he could spot anything. As he struggled to pin-point the origin of the attack on the base, he heard a voice call out to him. "Is everything alright, Unglaus?" the voice was calm and came from behind him. The marine quickly turned around, weapon in hand, startled and confused by the unfamiliar voice. As he looked around the chamber, he saw only the prisoner and nobody else. Suddenly the marine did a double-take as he finally spotted something out of place. The pirate that had been gagged and chained had nothing on him. His cuffs were broken on the floor and the mask that was supposed to be around his face had been ripped apart and was on the ground. "You look distressed, Unglaus. Is it because of the enemy currently assailing the base? Perhaps its that nagging feeling you've been having about your wife cheating on you with the baker back home? Or is it your mother's coronary artery disease? It seemed pretty advanced doesn't it? Surgery can be a very pricey thing." Tatsuo spoke with a gentle smile on his face, leaning against the back wall of his jail cell while the marine frantically aimed his weapon at him and looked outside every time there was another explosion. "What? How? How did you take of your...my mother!?" the marine gripped the rifle tightly at the mention of his family members from the mouth of a pirate. Another explosion rocked the building, this time opening a hole in the wall next to the marine and sending the man stumbling away before catching his balance. As his eyes moved from the hole to the pirate's cage, he raised his weapon once more, seeing as the pirate in question was already with his shoulder leaning against the bars. "It's a shame really. Normally I'd take my time and talk you into just opening this cell for me, unfortunately I don't exactly have that kind of time. Besides..." Tatsuo pointed to a spot behind the marine with his finger "...my friend standing right behind you is going to open it for you." The marine quickly turned around in a fright, aiming his rifle at nothing but wall and air. When the sudden realization that he had been taken for a fool hit him, it was too late. Something sticky hit him on the back of the head and his body was suddenly flung back, his shoulder-blades hitting the bars. When the marine looked up, he saw black monster with many green eyes looking down at him. He would never find out if his wife had really been cheating on him nor if his mother would live for a few more years. A few moments later, the other marine returned to get his colleague, wanting him to aid in taking care of the mad assailant on the base. When the marine arrived, he saw only the dried up husk of what used to be a marine, an open cage door with a broken lock and a hole in the wall. Tatsuo climbed to the base's highest point while in his hybrid form. His eyes witnessed the aerial battle that ensued while his finely tuned senses searched the whole base for a certain marine, one that had taken his goddamn knife. |

Flying high into the air, the air born marine didn't drop his focus on the pirate. WIth his mind still focused on Wave, Delancy was able to recieve premonitions of the danger around him. Numerous blades would be levitated into the air, and he would likely be powerless to stop them unless he acted fast. Knowing the projectiles intended mark due to his obs, the marine would now have to avoid them. Lowering his profile, the marine made his air plane angle it's nose down, so that he could dive down as fast as possible. Diving down, he would rummage through his bag for different types of paper plane he had made. 'PErfect' he though to himself as the plane got dangerously close to the ground before stabilizing. Moving low, and fast the marine would make slight adjustments left and right to avoid the slew of blades flying towards him. If they pierced the earth they would barely miss. Forming the paper with his hands, he made several differently shaped planes. Grabbing the most streamlined ones, the marine quickly made a u-turn. Dust was pushed into the air by the sudden movement. Quickly rubbing them together, these specially made planes became lit on fire. Grinning the marine tossed the planes towards the marine. There were eight in total. Each plane was made of a fabric that was mixed with red sand glass and an explosive material. Each was steel quality, but obviously non-magnetic. The marine tossed them as fast as he could in that moment. All nine were aimed at Wave's torso, but they swayed left and right. Delancy Willhelm

Wave was impressed by the Marine's ability to avoid his attack. It seemed as though he had eyes in the back of his head, keeping his focus on Wave himself while avoiding the numerous blades dancing around him. This was beyond mere chance or skill, in Wave's opinion. There must have been something going on. The man must have some power or skill that Wave wasn't privy to. He considered it as he flew through the air. He had heard of masters of martial arts being able to do things somewhat like this, but he didn't think that's what was going on here. After all, Masters of the arts devoted all of their time and energy to training themselves in their style of choice. This Marine, with his paper airplanes didn't strike him as that sort. Could it be a devil's fruit? Possibly. The man hadn't set foot in or on the water since leaving the Battleship. However, while Wave was far from an expert on the different types of devil's fruits that existed, he had never heard of a fruit that granted enhanced perception, or visions of the future. Wave had a feeling that this was something else. Some power that he was unfamiliar with. This idea piqued Wave's curiosity, while also frustrating him to no end. Wave liked to think of himself as usually being the smartest person in any particular room, and when he was faced with something he simply didn't understand, it annoyed him. He had encountered a power that annoyed him in this way before. Haki. Wave knew almost nothing about this power though he had encountered it before. With a devil fruit, all one had to do was scry out the fruit's base power that it leant to it's user and one could figure out all sorts of things about the enemy. Plus there were the generic devil fruit weaknesses of seastone and the loss of power in water one could capitalize on if the opportunity presented itself. But Haki, was something else entirely. It didn't seem to follow a set of specific rules. It was intangible to Wave, and being unable to quantify it, he was unable to consider specific counters to it. It seemed now that he was once again facing a power he couldn't quantify, and it annoyed the hell out of him. As Wave mused on how to get around the Marine's impressive reflexes, the marine would suddenly spin himself around, kicking up some dust as he swung his glider around just above the ground. Wave's attention was snapped back to the man and he watched as he threw 8 projectiles at him, more paper planes presumably. These were different from the ones that had slashed Wave's arm though (which had stopped bleeding temporarily due to the application of pressure and the already-present bandage provided by Wave's shirt and jacket... that was going to be a bitch to take off later). The planes appeared to be on fire... That was certainly something new. With a wave of his hand, the Aegis shield which Wave had kept hovering around his person to fend off any more surprise attacks moved forward. With another wave of his hand, the 7 foot shield began spinning around like a propellor. Wave shot upwards into the air to avoid the airplanes and his shield moved forward towards them. Wave didn't know what sort of material these planes were made of or if he would be able to destroy them, but at the end of the day they were still just gliders. If he could hit them, he should be able to knock them off course or out of the sky all together. In the mean-time, Wave reached out with his right arm towards the marine and closed his fist as though he were trying to grab something. 20 of the fifty swords flying through the air around the marine would turn their points towards the man and shoot in towards him all together. Dodge this. Wave said with a smile. Techniques

Godric watched the arial battle for a moment, he had made it to a position where he could see the swarm was not an actual swarm of bees but blades instead. Unfortunately the situation around him developed too quickly for the teen to continue to star gaze, in a matter of moments he was soon surrounded by marines, assortment of swords, guns, blunt objects and more were tightly gripped in each hand, aiming down on the golden lion. "What the hell is that thing?" "How the hell should I know? I didn't even know there were prehistoric lions roaming around this jungle." "Prehistoric? Does that thing look like a old dinosaur looking mammal?" "Yeah he's right, it looks more modern than anything, whats it doing in a jungle like this?" Godric listened as their confusion sort of took the focus off the aerial battle and had then pondering this questionable situation. Godric decided that it would be best to just end the questions by reverting to the most human of his zoan form. The once golden lion became more human, the golden mane became the first thing to change, becoming white and gold as his snout caved in and his normal features came back. His skin remained the golden bronze color of the Nemean and his hands still had the claws. "Its a zoan user, shit!" "Is he here with Wave?" "No! It's the kid we've been hearing about, the kid with the impenetrable Lion Zoan." "Impenetrable? You mean like the Lion from myth?" "Not just like the mythical lion, exactly the mythical lion. That's The Nemean Lion, Godric G. Fist!" "G.Fist!? That fucking family again?! Someone call it in everyone else, fire when ready!" "Sorry fellas, I dont have time for you right now! Count your blessings I'm in a hurry," The marines began to open fire but Godric had already vanished from sight, appearing behind them and moving into the base. He got his claws ready, although he hadn't cut anything yet, the day was still young and this fight just seemed like it was about to get started.

It was an impressive show of force, one made even more fascinating when taking into account that the destruction already caused to the base had been done by a single man. Flying and manipulation of weapons, obviously a Devil Fruit user unless people had gained telekinetic powers in the week he spent imprisoned…unlikely but it would be quite interesting. No, judging by the way he controlled his weapons and his own body but not the enemy’s odd paper planes, his ability seemed deal with some sort of magnetism. Truly interesting, a powerful paramecia. Honestly it wasn’t of great importance, Tatsuo had really no intention of fighting this man. Rather, the more the man fought others, the more it all aided him in his plans. With the whole base’s focus locked into this man, getting around and finding his precious knife would be so much easier. It was then, however, that he felt something else. Fast and heavy at first, rapidly approaching the base, a four legged creature from the way it ran. Considering they were on Little Garden, an island known to have ancient and large creatures, there was a possibility of this being one such creature. Then the heavy steps of four feet turned into an incredibly fast kicking with two and the creature quickly bypassed two others. From his high vantage point, Tatsuo shifted his gaze down in the direction of this creature. All eight green eyes focused on the humanoid bellow, just done infiltrating the marine’s defenses. Another fruit user, a zoan it seemed. Was this one a companion of the first? “A coordinated attack? No, the timing is far too off for something like that. If he were trying to sneak…no…interesting.” he mumbled to himself as his body returned back to his human form “Magnetism…a zoan…hmm…” his hand to his chin, Tatsuo shifted his now red eyes from the aerial battle to the intruder below. Finally, Tatsuo glanced down at the marines running around like little ants…little, delicious ants…it was so odd the feelings of a predator. Ever since he ate the Kumo fruit, humans became delectable bags of blood just running around for the taking. It fascinated him how much he seemed to fall into the mythical beasts instincts while at the same time still remaining himself. Tatsuo began walking over the roof of the base, dangerously nearing the edge. With each step, his body changed, growing larger, armor like chitinous plates forming around him, his eyes turning green and others opening over the main two, black armored legs forming from his back, in short…Tatsuo began turning himself into his hybrid bestial form. By the time he went over the edge of the roof, his legs were already holding fast against the wall and the spiderman began to climb down. As he crawled, he scanned the area for potential prey. His goal was not to feed, not just yet, instead he wanted information. Three marines ran under him, rushing toward the gate where “Another damn G. Fist” had come. Webs suddenly shot down, hitting each on the back before all three were yank off their feet. Next thing they knew, the marines had their arms and legs covered in webs that seemed impossible to break, sticking their bodies to the wall while and upside-down black monster greeted them with a smile. One of them opened his mouth to scream but a spider leg quickly skewered him right through the chest and the monster placed a finger in front of his mouth. “That was incredibly rude of me, I apologize.” Tatsuo said in a calm and genuinely apologetic tone “I will also warn you that only one of you will live. Of course, the other one will die a painfully slow dead.” his mouth opened, revealing a fang filled mouth, however to the shock of the marines, the creature’s cheeks began to split and mandibles stretched own. The next moment, the monster had bitten both of them in the arm “That which you are feeling is venom, your body should be getting quite hard to move, breathing will shut down next along with the rest of your basic functions. Death will not be quick, but you’ll be begging for it to come soon. Now, I have an antidote for the most polite out of you lot, for the one that will answer my questions the best.” The marines looked panicked at each other, they could feel that the monster was not bluffing for the venom through their veins burned yet it was already getting harder and harder to breathe. Of course, what they didn’t know was that Tatsuo injected only a tiny quantity of it to keep them awake and lucid. There was also no antidote. “Now, when I was captured someone took my knife. A big combat knife, quite beautiful and sharp…who has it?” he paused and smiled, showing them a kind expression despite the lives of the split cheeks still visible “Secondly, who is this G. Fist and the one floating over there? They intrigue me.” Spoiler: click to toggle
