Ok so this is a thing. We use to have a trait for that in the past, where you must have had 150 SD or something, but you were considered of noble birth. This was trashed as being of noble birth was something that was seen to put you apart from others. Now I'm old and it takes me a while to catch up on things, but isn't that how traits like that would be handled? Your idea is that some guy with Funky Body who has 300 SD can do something someone with 0 SD can do, at least that's what you're taking away from this. And though that is true under certain circumstances with special traits, that isn't true with universal traits that have no requirements to them like the one I'm asking about. Funky Body shouldn't be based on or restricted based on someone's SD levels. The same effect a guy with 500 SD can get from that single trait should be something that a starter can get from the trait. Which is why I assumed it was either a Go or No scenario, because if you allowed things for one character you'd have to allow things for all of them due to how the trait works. I can't possibly imagine that the same universal trait with the same universal function would be allowed for the same cost between all people to be allowed to do more for one person than it could for someone else. |

Nah, Funky Body is the same across the board, that was just addressing why scooped characters can have more intricate back stories, which you seemed to take issue with. There is no bias on hard components like traits, but higher sd characters have an advantage in soft components like IC connections. |
