At the mouth of the cave, Alice walked in with a slight limp as she followed behind the absolutely massive ebony fur ball known as Kuro. All of his soft poof fur in his hilarious fifteen feet size slowly disheartening into the inky blackness that was the mouth of the cave. Something was not right in this scene thought Alice as they made their way slowly into the mouth of the cave. Alice followed behind Kuro, reaching out with her one other free hand along the mouth of the cave to keep from falling into the black darkness. The mouth of this opening in the mountain was amazingly smooth. As if a professional stone worker had come and hand smoothed the walls. Another thing she noticed was the farther in, the colder and wetter it got. Roughly twenty feet in, Kuro sniffed over something on the ground. Shuffling over to see, it was Ookami's twin Swords. This was not good, and something she could not understand per say. Ookami never was without her swords. Never, even when the girl went to the bathroom she always had them with her. It was starting to make it were Alice was going to rename this island Neverland. As it was a land seemingly to constantly have things that would never happen or be outside of it... happen. Picking them up, Alice shouldered the twin blades on her right side with the injury to her abdomen. Alice continued to shuffle behind Kuro as she acting not like a rabbit at all, but more akin to a blood hound. Then again, thinking back, the rabbit never did act like a normal rabbit. Always behaving more like a human, a pig, or as a dog of some sort. The thought always was there in her mind but, maybe the rabbit was just like one of those poor souls back on Red Sand Island? Perhaps Kuro was secretly a Devil Fruit User who ate the fruit at a young age. Perhaps at the age of just being an infant. The child morphed into it's feral form and stayed that way. It would explain how the fifteen foot tall rabbit acted and a lot of other things. Alice raised her left hand up and looked at her gauntlet. One touch was all it needed to prove or disprove her theory. But would she do it now? Ookami was somewhere in this cave. Alone, scared, and silent. The cave echoed with the sounds of Kuro and herself but there was no other sounds being made. A cold chill rushed down her spine as the impossible came slithering into mind. Perhaps Ookami was no more? Shaking her head and clutching her hand into a fist, Alice steeled her resolve and pressed forth into the seemingly never ending black as sin cavern. Kuro was doing something but Alice could not see what. He was dragging something along back out to the mouth of the cave where it was lighter. Following the Rabbit, She wondered what it was. Perhaps he had found Ookami and was pulling her along on some sort of stretcher of some sort. It was not till they got to the mouth of the cave that Alice was able to see it. Kuro had managed to make a coffin. And inside was her dear sister. Alice stood there for a moment in disbelief. But then in just as short of time, her lips curled in anger. Roaring with rage, Alice slammed her fists down into the hard cavern bottom with all her might. Sending large cracks rippling through the floor and sending a few chunks up in the air as she had preformed a double rank twenty eight shock wave technique of hers. The force of the blow was enough to break apart the flimsy coffin Kuro had made around her sister and his master. There was no way she could be dead. Even if she was, death was not a sure thing. The heart might stop but the brain still had some activity left. Some of the more cruel and usual Scientists in the past were allowed to experiment on criminals who were to be beheaded. They were allowed to see how long the head could survive after separation from the body. They found that the Brain had roughly eight minutes before necrosis started to set in and brain functions rapidly decreased, ending in a 1-1-1 state or death. Either option was not viable. However, with a smile, Alice realized that the cave had given them the option they needed to keep her alive. Rushing over and putting away her gauntlets, she dug around in her backpack while she keeled at Ookami's left side. her blood covered hand pressing hard into her sisters center, pumping at it with force to try and get the girl's heart going. Pulling out what she was looking for, Alice produced the clear plastic tube with two sharp metal points fitted into both ends. The very same tube they had used to save Fudo's life with back on Cactus island. Alice had no idea why she kept the item but it was in this moment she was glad she did. Stopping the chest compression for a moment, Alice reached over and pinched some of the sticky sap up from the would be coffin and placed of over one of the holes that was in her dear sister's wrist. Stopping the blood flow from one end, Alice drove the tapered needle into the other hole, into an artery where blood might flow back into the body. Grimacing, Alice looked down at the wounded abdomen and thought it was not the best solution but, it would have to do. Blood born pathogens and the like be damned, they had a doctor or two that could help. Getting the needle ready, she drove it into her wound with the dead bush steam and was glad she managed to find a vain. Liquid crimson was pumping down the tube and into Ookami now. Resuming CPR, Alice used both hands now to get her hear back into working order. After a couple minutes, the demolitions inventor pirate stopped again, and reached her fingers into the sheer fabric of her clothing, the wet clothing would send her body into hibertonic shock and do more harm now then it was now. The body temperature of Alice's blood would warm Ookami's body, but the wet clothing would lower that core temperature. Ripping the fabric open and off of her sister, she had no mind to question or react to the scene as it stood. A pale young woman in the arms of another woman, bare to the world as the ruby red haired pirate fought to bring her sister to life. Reaching behind Ookami's head, to clear the air way, Alice leaned in and closed her eyes. She needed this to work. She needed Ookami to live. Alice's body changed back to human as her body shed it's self. It was like a scene straight out of beauty and the beast, but in a more adult yuri way. Alice closed the gap between them as her rudy lips pressed to Ookami's pale violet blue lips with hips of pink. The vampire;s lips were still oh so supple and soft. Was this the fist kiss for the girl? A first kiss stolen by another woman in an act to save her life? No matter, Alice parted her sister's lips with her own and blew air into her body. Hopefully breathing life back into her sister's fleshy being. Even if it looked rather shameful or erotic as one woman with jet black hair laid bare to the world in the arms of a red head woman, lips together and eyes closed. This was basic medicine at work, this was yuri, this was taboo love, it was a dance of life and death. |

Kuro had slowly walked past Alice in her trance dragging the coffin within the mouth of the cave. The black laphan was distraught enough, but as he neared the light to his masters body on the floor. It was the child he had sworn to protect that was dead in their mist. Kuro groaned slightly with tears welling in his eyes. He picked up Keiko out of the water and placed her into the coffin gently putting her into place to look nice. Her eyes were shut with blue lips and he felt no heart beat that he could tell. He was about to close the lid when Alice had seen the body and with a madness sent out shock waves all over the unstable cave that sent rocks crumbling from the hole in the ceiling where the bats had escaped. Kuro immediate response was to protect Ookami even if it killed him, but what he saw angered him more than anything. Alice had broken the botched coffin he had tried to rebuild so many times. She had shattered it with her powers and had tool digging into his companions flesh. To Kuro Alice was trying to preform some kind of ritual to bring her back to life, but had torn her clothing and was what looked like was kissing her. Kuro's red eyes burned in his head like fire. He knew Keiko was dead why didn't Alice get that and now she was mutilating her body in front of her protector. Kuro roared like a wild beast with his paws outstretched towards Alice. He didn't care if he was weaker than her, he was going to kill her. Kuro slashed at Alice's back pushing her aside and grabbed his master. He wrapped Keiko's body in her black and crimson cape holding the back of her head with his paw and her waist with his other. He decided it was time to go home. He carried Ookami in his arms and was walking away in heavy thumps as he shook in rage. Ookami had done things done to her that would have brought her back to life if she was dead in the first place, but her heart beat was too low to tell. Alice's test to bring her back to life however did prove that she was alive since corpses don't have blood flow to bleed. Ookami was watching a door far off in the black distance that poured off light that she couldn't reach or touch it's warmth, but it was there mocking her. In Keiko's head she is suspended in some kind of darkness watching that door unable to break free, in her head she isn't a zoan and has no power to escape. She's in some kind of meditative coma and who knows when she will wake up. It was strange she could have sworn that in this shadowy dimension in her head she could almost hear Alice and Kuro, but then their faces went astray in the blackness and she could see them no more. This place in her mind was just like the portals G.G from red sand island used to make, but what was she doing here in this place. G.G was dead and only he had that power. She decided she was in some kind of dream state, because only she and Kuro knew what this blackness looked like in the red sand glass mansion. Keiko looked at the door with shining light as she tried to make sense of it all and with her eyes still on it the door slammed shut with no light for her to concentrate on, but there were sounds. this purgatory could only be in her head. |

Kuro's eyes were half closed feeling a heavy weight upon him, as he was carrying his companion back to the ship. It was far and he was walking slow, but this was a wound he would not be able to heal no matter how much food he ingest. The black mass eyes were on the floor but his ears were alert. He was secretly hoping that something would eat him and that would be the end of it. However no hollow thumps of deep roars were hear on his slow way to the ship. He was picturing the snow falling harshly on Drumb Island. It was an incredible sight except that it was now Keiko's soon to be burial place. He knew how Alice felt but he just can't hold back his rage. He needed Keiko for survival. Strangely enough he made no complaints or small jokes he could feel death icy hand clinging to his fur. Tweet-Tweet. Kuro had heard the sound of soft bells over the trees. Tweet-Tweet went the coupled pair of canaries that were still alive because of Alice (he can't hear echo location). He nodded to those soft cues above the leaves. Kuro pursed his lips and tried to whistle back but they came out in a dry raspberry. In his other hand he still carried the coffin Alice had demolished. He would have to build another one, but perhaps this one would improve. Any material he would need was flung onto the dragging pieces of wood. When his gaze lifted the ship was in sight and the canaries had quieted down hours ago. There was no outfit for Keiko to wear her usual clothing was burned our eaten away by a moth like gas and her current clothing was shredded in order to save her life, but Kuro guessed it didn't matter now. Her black cape was wrapped around her like dress. Kuro made it to the ship quiet and crying, but magically made it unnoticed as he was silent and they were gallivanting somewhere else. He placed Keiko on the cold floor and began to stick together another poorly made coffin. Meanwhile in Keiko's deep sleep she heard what sounded like muffling voices. The sounds were choked together as if yelled out all at once through a speaker. Keiko tried to focus with her arms constricted to a dark wall with what looked like black wiry threads of hair. She lout of a light puff, listening closely. Only those voices were not human, but the echo location of the giant queen bat that was reaching her even in her coma like state. It was like it was trying to talk to her, but Keiko was unable to communicate back without her bat form. She saw nothing only darkness as she hung, as a nude figure in the shadows. Keiko had no idea that she was in a coma at all, but believed that she was in the hell she belonged in. Struggling proved to be no use and her feet were not even visible in her position, but it felt like being encase in tar. She was unable to break free and unable to escape. the echo location would not cease but contort her mind to an uneasiness. Kuro! Alice! can anybody hear me, but her words were only in her imagination, as no one heard her screams. Keiko was trying to piece together how she had gotten to this awful place, but nothing came to mind. It was true she was in hell and those hideous echos were chimes from the devils throat. Just as she had come to the conclusion that she was in hell something dreadfully frightening happened. The shadows that were dripping down in thick globs from the tar like ceiling were taking form. These black creatures were small with pointy black ears and she could hear their hissing noises, as they were approaching her. Keiko's eyes scanned for her twin cursed swords, the pink Mack eleven, a dagger or a natural weapon, but it was impossible to fight. She was defenseless. Get away from me, she screamed as the echos made more and more goblins wrought to life. Kuro was gazing at Keiko one last time. Her limp fragile body was at piece with her eyes closed and hands folded wrongly. She was a sister to him. She was his world. Kuro placed the lid covered in tree sap on the dark wooden case. |

Alice was asaulted from the most unlikely of beings on the island. Not by one of the many creatures of long thought extict dinosaurs. She was not injured by a remaining mercenary, or by a marine. No, this shocking attack came from the claws of a black fifteen foot tall rabbit named Kuro. His claws tore through her shirt and into her flesh. Cutting her back from right shoulder to left hip. in that moment, Alice hissed in pain as Ookami's reviving body is ripped from her arms. pulling the life blood she had attached to herself as well. Ripping it out of her carelessly. Bleeding from her back and now from her would more so then ever, Alice closed her eyes as she fell to the cold floor, unable to curl in or curl out due to both injuries. Looking from her side she saw Kuro walking away with Ookami's coma like body. It was a sin to attack a fellow crew member, something she herself was paying for to this day. But Kuro, the clueless potential zoan boy, or abnormal animal life form attacking Alice as she worked to try and revive her dear sister in arms was just so unexpected that she could not believe if for a moment. The light of day was gone now, the last slivers of the sun beyond the horizon gone for another turn of the world as the pale moon and the countless stars in the night sky were shining brighter as the night fell. Picking herself up off the cold cave floor, she needed to stop the bleeding or else she would die. Lifting her blood soaked right hand up, she gave it a look and with in a moment, it became ablazed. Flames lighting up the cave as she quickly reached down and slammed her hand over her abdominal wound. The sound of flesh sizzling as Alice screamed in pain. It was kinda like the sound of a piece of bacon hitting a hot frying pan or flat top griddle. However, after a couple seconds of this, Alice panted as she curled up in pain. The bleeding was stopped for the most part... and thankfully her natural clotting in her blood was starting to work on the deep cuts on her back. Slowly moving to on all fours, Alice looked out towards the direction Kuro went. He was going to pay for what he had done to her. Making her do what she just had to. But he was the pet to her dear loved one as well. It was going to have to be done in a way that would not anger her comatose friend when and if she ever woke up. Picking herelf up onto shakey legs, Alice moved out of the cave and down the hill side. Sliding down it this time as she made her way to the ship. Off on the shore there was a large fire roaring, the crew of the replica Beast Bloods had done as asked, moving the ship closer to shore and building a large pyre too. Meanwhile in the dense jungle of the island, Alice was slowly moving behind, following Kuro as they made thier way back. By the time Alice stepped onto the sandy beach, Kuro was already back on the ship with Ookami. there was no cheers, nothing. Just looks of sadness and wonder, some confusion. the fake Bloods were all wondering what had happened, why Kuro was carrying a still alive but rag doll body of Ookami, why Alice was covered in blood, wounded, and limping slightly. "Find Fudo... Let him know... Me, Ookami, and... that fucking furball... are on the ship. Tell him... the Bet is to be postponed. Now... out of my way... I got a future fur coat to deal with." Alice limped her way around the large fire of the pyre that had to be roughly twenty feet in the air and ten feet wide. The flames hot enough to turn some of the sand to molten glass. Moving up the walkway plank bridge that was poorly built but some way stable, back to the Ship. Alice kept her right hand over her abdomen but her left hand was curled into a fist, shaking near her face as she moved along the peeling paint of the ship. Her fist turning black as sin and gaining a metallic shine to it as she thought about what she was going to do to Kuro. but then chose against it. Her arm returning to normal. As she finally found Kuro, slamming a lid back on a poorly main coffin. Rolling her eyes at this, Alice kicked a chair, sending it sliding over and tumbling into Kuro. "Look here you fucked up piece of garbage... If you can understand the words that are coming out of my mouth, you best be paying close attention... you ever... EVER... Claw me again... pet of hers or the god of Luck himself, I WILL punch the black off your sorry ass. She is not dead... i don't know why.. but she has a heart beat... her skin is still with some color. Look at her chest... it is moving still. The dead don't breath or have beating hearts you stupid furball! Alice walked over to Kuro and gave the coffin a swift kick, kicking the lid off of it as she pointed to her sister in arms's lifeless body. the signs were there. She had time to mull this information over in her mind as she made her way back. It was long enough for the Ruby red head to pick apart the memory to see the details as well as formulate a plan of attack for the rabbit. He was going to get payback in time, but for now, she needed to get a point across and to find a medic first. She could tell she had lost far too much blood, her body was starting to become heavy, head light. Knee shaking as Alice struggled to keep standing. It seemed the last of her adrenaline and natural pain killers were starting wear off. |

Kuro was wallowing over the death of his master when Alice had come into their quarters. Kuro was so overwhelmed that he had no noticed the raptor zoan because he was too deeply distraught. His furry black mass paws wavered over the coffin in slow and tiring motions. Just then the raptor zoan made her opening with a kick to the coffin lid topping off the tree sap covered box that clattered at Kuro. The black rabbit tossed it aside after it had hit him square in his hunched over chest cavity and smacking his funny bone sending a pain to spiral up his arm. His eyes were blazing with red anguish as she repeatedly yelled out to him. He did understand what Alice was saying. He was not stupid, he just preferred to be spoken to with eye contact that only his master made the effort to do. He understood perfectly that he was not supposed to hurt the crew because it was not his place but in his eyes Alice was desecrating Keiko's body by causing a wound, he had no quarrels with the CPR, or in his understanding trying to give Keiko her own breath of life. What had Alice been even saying that Keiko was alive? Kuro flared his nostrils and took in the air in large breaths. Keiko had the lingering stench of death that seeped into the air. If she was alive now it was still obvious to him that she had died. He watched Keiko's chest moving, but barely as he body remained in a coma like state. He did grow mildly happy that she was alive, but something was terribly wrong. It had been a long while and Keiko did not awake from her slumber and went to sleep without a word. The black mass did not know how to communicate to Alice that Keiko had in fact died and still had that smell on her like death was waiting for opportunity. He was worried that she would return to the underworld with no way back. Kuro wiggled his fingers while giving Alice eye contact in the attempt to communicate with her. First Kuro held up three fingers to signify three words. Kuro pointed to Keiko to start with Keiko first then placing his right paw over his nose he tried to hint to Alice the word smells like . Then Kuro slid his index finger over his throat to sign the word death. He had no idea how Alice would react, but he could smell the dried blood on her, since he is a creature that eats meat. ALice was bady wounded for trying to save Keiko. He had no idea what she was thinking trying to die as well he guessed, but he would not stand for Keiko's future wife to kill herself. Keiko had said to him, "If I ever die, take care of Alice...." that was the same request he had received from Kanji Ookami but the task was not so simple, as its words. He had to knock some sense into that raptor, but now with poor communication skills he could tell that Alice would not know these things. In Keiko's dreams the black tar goblins had changed shape with their arms forming wings and their ears going straight up like tombstones. The goblins were black bats that let out ear piercing screams into Keiko's ears. The bats fur was flaring in fiery points that wavered like the sea waves. The bats began to change colors of all sorts one could imagine while still screaming this hellish place. The bats were swirling it no one another with faces like a new born babes the bats clustered into a rainbow of the queen bat that filled the darkness with color. Her fur ensnared Keiko forcing her to look into it's eyes as the echos seemed to be affecting her in hideous ways making her feel as if she was going to melt into the earth. Kuro had no idea if Alice would understand this, but he walked up to her slowly with tears in his eyes. Kuro moved both hands slowly at the same distance apart pretending to place something the on his ears. Then slowly with his right paw he placed it on Alice's heart pretending to check her heart beat. This was a sign Keiko had taught him that was the symbol for Doctor. Kuro moved his hand away and stared at Alice hoping she would understand. |

As Alice looked on in the dim lit room of her dear sister in law, she looked back behind her and slowly say down onto the floor, her back next to the crude coffin in which her batty friend was slumbering. It was sort of Ironic really. Given how Ookami was a Vampire, or as close to a real life vampire as humanly possible, having her sleeping in a coffin was all sorts of campy and funny. The though of it alone made Alice smile, even if it was for a little bit. Looking over, she looked at Kuro as he seemed to be understanding her little outburst. His big round goof ball eyes seemed upset. She did not mean to be that harsh, well, yes she did. But, Alice did not expect the Rabbit to nearly start crying. His fluffy stupid face melting her cold heart of its icy anger towards him. Now that her body was failing and her mind was not focused on revenge or anger, she was starting to think a bit clearer. Even if it was slower, the ruby red head could at lease rationally see things better. Alice, no matter how much of a bitch she could be, never really means to hurt anyone, especially not her fellow crew members. Today has pushed her to almost breaking that oath of hers but, not yet. The black Rabbit held up a paw, extending three of his claws as if trying to play guess the phrase with her. Well, at least it was a start. She really needed to learn sign language but that would be for another time. The three claws meant it had to be three words. Simple enough Alice figured as she watched with increasingly heavy eyes. Kuro pointed to Ookami, this was the first clue. He then moved his paw to his nose. A bit tricker of a clue. Ookami knows? Knows what? Alice wondered as she arched an eyebrow. Then there was the final gesture to hint at the clue in what the Rabbit was trying to say. He slowly drew a claw across his throat. It was a universal sign for slitting a throat. Putting all three hints together, Alice had to think a bit harder on it, though it was annoying that normally she would of figured it all out almost instantly. The Demolition inventor Pirate swiftly brought the palm of her right hand up to her forehead with a loud fleshy smack as she face palmed over how simple the phrase was. Ookami smells death. Or maybe Smells like death. She was not sure but Alice got the picture. "Yeah... She does. She always does... I think the closest she comes to a bath is when she is swimming in the blood of her enemies... and me. What of it? It was then Alice saw Kuro was paying more attention to her. His head roaming over her body, as if he was finally realizing just how hurt she really was. He made another gesture or two, this time she was completely lost in translation. Headband? Heart? Chest? What could the Rabbit mean by this Alice wondered. "I do not understand... Kinda slow at the moment. Having lost half your blood will do that. Heart... blood. Headband... Oh for crying out loud i'm thick! Doctor! Yeah... I only know the basics... some advanced stuff but... not enough. I can't really get up. If I do, I will surely Pass out. If you mean to get a Doctor... yeah... that would be nice. Find Koga, or one of the fake Beast bloods." Spoke Alice as she aid her head back looking up at the ceiling as her body started to slide along the wooden floors. Her legs which had been bent up close to her body were not laying flat on the floor, nothing stopping her from slipping. Alice slid till her head rested on the lip of the coffin. It wasn't the most comfy position but it was better. Hopefully The rabbit understood that she was in no shape to move anymore. She needed fluids in her badly. As did Ookami, but, the trouble being the only way to deliver them would be via an IV. For Alice, she could orally ingest fluids still. Maybe after she took a nap, the doctors might patch her and her sister up while they rested. closing her emerald green eyes, Alice smiled as she laid next to her sleeping beauty of a best friend, sister, and fellow crew member. |
