Keiko wandered back towards Alice. Her nodachi's shifted slightly due to the water crashing against the ship, there was no magical means to it. she held the diary in her hands and held it out to Alice to accept it. The diary wouldn't really squirt ink onto a stranger to take a look they would just think that it would and feel guilt until they admitted it. Keiko had sunken eyes that were glimmering like red liquid sequins. It was so nice to see her friend again for once, as the way she used to before it all went down on red sand island. Her face felt hot and she realized for the first time that she was welling up with silent tears.

She folded Alice's nimble fingers over the diary making her accept it. She didn't want Alice to see her crying, but she couldn't help it. Her hot tears streamed into tiny drops onto Alice. Keiko reached out with her arms folding around Alice tightly, "Thank you Alice your the best friend I could ever ask for...aside from Kuro. I Love you" She had hoped she didn't ruin what she said by adding Kuro in there. Keiko's body was hunched down slightly to keep her melancholy face in the crevice of Alice's neck. She was crying lightly with small sniffles. Her hand stroking the back of Alice's red hair. Alice was the most understanding human being Keiko had ever met. The sniffles stopped and Keiko went completely quiet, but she did not pull away.

Keiko grabbed Alice tighter. It would have seemed that she might have lost consciousness for a second, but she was still completely there. Still stroking Alice's head she mumbled softly, "I'm sorry Alice...." She didn't give Alice time to react she dug her fangs into Alice's shoulder piercing through her skin. Keiko didn't not attack her savagely like she had before that moment when she lost her mind, she was gentle. It wouldn't make sense to other people, but it made sense to them. Alice had offered her blood to Keiko before and at first having refused it she changed her mind. Alice's sacrifice will keep her from killing people.

Keiko released Alice carefully, her face revealed to be covered with white fur only on the outskirts. She had only used her canines to extract Alice's blood, nothing more. Picking up Alice and propping her in the throne chair. Keiko retrieved her nodachi's and slide them into their sheaths. She didn't crave anything now her thirst was quenched. KEiko didn't know what more to say about the matter. She hadn't wasted a drop of Alice's blood. It hadn't dripped from her wound or stained her clothes. Keiko took a deep breath, "I'll get you some bread..."Then Keiko left silently carefully closing the door behind her. Only Alice would understand and should understand. Alice's blood was the only blood she had craved after the incident. Though she spoke and even drank the blood of others she only remembered the ruby red head.

As the ruby red head woman watched, her guard up and ready to strike at any moment, She was focusing all her energy on using the power of Haki to see what her dearest sister in arms might do next. Trying ever so desperately to sense what other hostile actions the bat might do. However, as the Blades fell to the floor, she could tell something was shifting. It was as if the very air in the room was lifting, becoming easier to breath, growing less dark as well. Lowering her guard a bit as Ookami ran off to the side of the room and pulled on a oak wooden dresser, pulling out a leather bound book of some sort. This book as it were was in actuality something ever so close to the bat. It was her journal, her diary. It was something real sisters did, sharing secrets but something like this was going far beyond that.

Alice looked on in confusion, eyebrows arched on her face to match this feeling in what the insane bat was planning. Her dear sister in arms walked slowly towards the emerald green eyed demolitions pirate, forcing the red leather diary into her hands as Ookami came into hug her. Angel was caught so off guard by this she was not sure what to think to be honest. For a few moments there she was in a fight or flight event of her life, scared in that she might have to once again hurt her sister like before on Cactus island. Alice felt thos hands softly stroking her back and hair as it had managed to come undone during the fight it seemed. Long kinked and curled strands of ruby red hair hanging down As the hybrid Zoan felt hot wetness on her. Ookami was crying. Pulling her arms around her, Alice made sure to touch the zoan bat on the open skin with her left hand, using the power of her seastone gauntlets to deactivate her sisters powers for the time being.

She softly hugged her dear, sweet, loving sister in arms Ookami back, wanting nothing more then to make all this pain and insanity to go away. She figured this was a ploy to get her blood but as before, she would openly give it to the gothic woman. hissing in pain as her skin is pierced and she could feel blood draining from her with each heartbeat. Ookami finished her meal and pushed the former marine back and into the throne. She had to admit, it felt kind of nice, sitting upon a throne, as if she were a ruler of some sort. However, things were not over with just yet. Smiling, Alice jumped forwards from the chair for kings and grabbed Ookami, pulling her back into the throne with her. Holding Her dear sister closely, as a Mother would hold her child. She whispered into Ookami's ear, "I love you too, more so ten you will ever know. Now hush... let me sing you to peace." Alice did not like letting others know she enjoyed singing, it was one of her secret pass times to do while in her workshop tinkering around. Often times she would have music blasting loud enough to drown herself out but she did enjoy singing along. If Ookami was willing to share her diary, the least the inventor could do was share one of her secrets as well.

You told me
You’d hold me
Hold me til the mornin’ light

You craved me
You saved me
Saved me from my own foolish blight

You’re gone now
I’m strong now
Strong enough to cry only at night

I see now
It can’t be now
Now that you’re away

And I wish that I could be like the desert
He never seems to cry
I wish that I could be like the ocean
She never needs to ask why

I’m a lonely lady only
Lonely lady only

You told me
You’d hold me
Hold me til the mornin’ light

You craved me
You saved me
Saved me from myself

And I wish that I could be like my father
He always knew what was right
I wish that I could be like my mother
She always tucked me in tight

I’m a lonely lady only
Lonely lady only

You told me
You’d hold me
Hold me til the mornin’ light

You craved me
You saved me
Saved me from own foolish blight.

Keiko was about to leave the room in embarrassment when Alice had pulled her back into the chair holding onto her like a run away toddler. Keiko stayed completely quiet and before she knew it she heard a musical tune being harped into her ears. Keiko enjoyed it and after such a kingly meal it made her almost want to fall asleep. Her eye lashes fluttered at she listened to the poetic song. It was interesting and she was curious of the rhyme scheme. She was repeating the words in her heads after Alice did. The tune was catchy an as she heard the beat was emblazoning it into her memory for safe keeping.

Keiko's appearance was now completely human. Music really could sooth a ravenous beast after all. Alice was making Keiko feel rather cheery for once and not some kind of wolf in sheep's clothing. This is comfortable, thought Keiko, I wonder where Kuro is? Just then Keiko heard a thumping down the stairs, as Alice was singing lightly. She had finished her song just in time when the giant laphan came crouching down into the room. Kuro made an odd face, a new expression she had never seen before. He had a strange look on his face as if trying to contemplate how to react. His eyes were in slits and lips were pursed with his tongue sticking out. Keiko realized that this face of his was not made on purpose.

Kuro's eyebrows would have been raised if he wasn't a giant eyebrow himself. The black rabbit licked his nose coming into realization of what happened. He could smell it, he could smell the tension in the air and the scent of blood. Keiko watched as Kuro gasped seeing the two men incapacitated in the corer of the ship. His gaze became dark as she glared at Keiko with wild eyes. Keiko had crossed over the line at having attacked his macho friends. Keiko rose up from the throne chair, but when she did he noticed Alice sitting there in content.

Kuro's mouth was gaping open and slapping to the floor and back. His nostrils flared, WHAT DID I TELL YOU! Keiko's eyes opened wide with her hands spread out, I CAN EXPLAIN! The black rabbit folded his arms and stomped his feet on the ground, I'm Waiting... Keiko tapped her hands together not knowing how to follow through with the conversation. She looked at Kuro with nervous laughter that was completely serious. The rabbit couldn't stand it any longer he gave a low growl and bonked Keiko on the head hard. THen he grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her, YOU BETTER CLEAN UP YOUR MESS! Keiko was in the deep realization that no one could even hear this conversation but her and Kuro, since they usually spoke in sign language. Keiko opened her mouth wide, OK.

Kuro dropped Keiko to the floor with a loud thump. He had rushed over to the two men on the floor with tears in his eyes. Her folded his sausage paws together, I'm sorry friends. Keiko slightly panicked not knowing where to take the two men. Hopefully the copy cat crew would have a doctor of some sort. If not then she would have to take them to Koga. Keiko picked up the guy with the burnt face while Kuro took the other man. Keiko turned to Alice, "Where can I take these two mooks to get patched up? Oh and by the way you sing nice."

Alice soothed the girl in her lap with her melody. It was a song from a band she enjoyed very much so. A trio of performers who would often times dress up as metal automatons. Tis particular song was written and song by the only female of the band, but she was akin to Alice in that she had not always been the lovely lonely lady she was. As she voice came to a stop, the melody played out, there came a thumping from outside the dark room. Alice had almost forgotten that the world outside still existed. It kinda even ruined the mood a bit as from the doorway came a large black fur ball. The doorway flashed and shined light as the massive rabbit named Kuro wiggled his fifteen foot self inside and stopped. His face was a look of confusion and a little embarrassed. It must of been strange for the rabbit or anyone passing by to see two grown woman together in a dark room in such an intimate position. They must of appeared to be in a sort of taboo scene, frozen in the act to anyone passing by and to Kuro.

Thankfully, it seemed the large fur ball of a rabbit was not smart enough or was unaware of what sort of position the two women were in. as his nose wrinkled. It appeared he was catching onto the scents of the room Alice observed from the chair. She let Ookami go as she re-positioned herself in the throne of a chair. Crossing her legs, the right over the left at the knee as she pressed her back to the chair. Hands on the arm supports as she watched the scene take place before her. Her dearest sister in arms and the rabbit having one of their discussions together, with only half of it being able to be understood. One of these days Alice was going to have to get a book or something so that she could understand what in the world was going on between the two of them. She figured she would learn this in private like everything else, choosing to reveal this knowledge when she felt the time was right to show off. Kuro bonked Ookami on the head and the two set off to helping the two men. She had actually forgotten about then as she stumbled for a moment in silence to thing of what to say. "Well, I figure the one with the face injures should be wrapped in Aloe and bandages. Keep airways open and for ingestion of liquids. Ice or frozen veggies will work to help reduce inflammation. The other one... Not sure, ask the mooks for any other simple home remedies of first aid."

The one with the burned face might not look too handsome afterwards but if he changes the bandages and does things right, he might only walk away with a little deformity. As the two left, Alice pondered what she would do next. She looked back and sighed. It was growing night time and the bet was still on between them and Fudo. There was no fire going and nothing was set. Pushing herself up and out of the chair and out the dark room, She hissed in pain and reached to pull her shirt back into place, holding it and applying pressure to keep bleeding to a minimum as she made her way back to the mess hall where most of the fans and others were.

Keiko and Kuro carried the two wounded souls to the crew. Their captain was cursing in upheaval. His madness was no where near Fudo's, but was oddly close in passion in his words, "My crew! My men! My soldiers! My friends!" His own crew seemed to pat him on the back and cry with him. Their tears could have poured another ocean. Keiko recited everything Alice had told her about the remedies like the aloe and the bandages. She expressed her worries for the man with the open back and they nodded and two dressed their selves immediately as doctors and took the two men away. It was rather odd. Keiko's eyes turned into slits, Do they have a costume for everything? Never mind that, she should probably go back to her quarters that was scavenged with books she had 'borrowed' from around the ship. This ship was getting a little uncomfortable, but she was sure she did the same to those aboard.

Her fingers trailed over every spine of every book she had 'borrowed.' She liked to trace the liquid golden letters and feel the texture of dyed leather. Most of all she liked the smell, she opened a book and took a whiff. Unlike the others it smelled new as if it were never tainted by the natural oils of one's hand. she liked that a lot. She pushed the ivory leather bound into a little satchel that she had 'borrowed.' She had taken up most of her skills and vows from Kuro which was be silent and never get caught. That black rabbit was ironic at his exaggerated height; he was always caught. She walked out the room and closed the door behind her and walking past the trail of blood, as if it wasn't even important.

She would have to gather Kuro and Alice and go out to hunt the biggest beast known to man. She had to show off their skills to the captain to gain the utmost respect to not put their lives in danger. Of course she found Kuro in the kitchen eating handfuls of pickles. She would normally interrupt him, but she had decided against it. He deserved to enjoy the life of a glutton for all his hard work after all. Keiko folded her hands on the stool next to Kuro and he didn't even notice her. She was content, however; and would wait till he ate all the pickles before they make their leave. But alas! Now that Kuro has eaten a whole barrel of pickles he would drink the green juice that could be done in under a minute. He burped and then she dragged him to gather Alice in the mess hall.

Keiko was taking her time, but changed her clothes first that two crew member had brought upon their selves to wash without her permission. They apparently left it out to dry and by the touch of it was just cold the way she liked it. Keiko smiled and gave her praise that made them swoon with joy, then she tightned her grip on the mans skinny shoulder, "Don't get comfortable. I don't want you two in our room again." She had a dark look in her eyes when she said this, but the two were completely clueless. "Did you see that! She touched me!" Keiko ignored him and in her sheer outfit over a beautiful ivory silk she went on her merriy way, but not before she clasped her white crystal choker she had actually brought from the kind merchant.

Alice sighed as she looked around, there was a noice coming from the room next to the mess hall, it seemed Ookami had done as asked and has the two men taken to be treated. Walking over to one of the more cleaner wooden stools for chairs in the mess hall, Alice pulled it up, the legs squealing against the wooden floor. Sighing, Alice hoped up and using her free hand pulled herself over and put her feet up on the table. It was not really that polite of a thing to do but who cared really? There were pirates and this ship was a recreation of the one that was blown to bits on cactus island by enemies of Fudo's. Balancing herself, the ruby red head took the blood red colored diary Ookami had given her and looked at it. Pondering if she really should read the up most private details that her dear sister in arms kept. Should the demolitions expert peek inside and find out really how the crazed vampire thought of her, of Fudo, of everything.

Behind Alice she heard the sound of claws on the wood and noticed a rather large black mass passing by into the kitchen. No doubt Kuro the fifteen foot tall rabbit. That rabbit could eat his weight in food four times over and still be hungry. Shaking her head as she could hear the sound of something heavy being dragged out from it's original position. Then came the sound of wood creaking in resistance before a loud pop sound came out of the kitchen. This pop sound was quickly followed by the sound of the wooden lid hitting the floor with a clatter. "That Rabbit better not eat all the Pickles like last time... been craving one for three damn weeks and each time... gone." Spoke Alice in a grumbled voice as irritation was setting in. She did not mind the Rabbit most of the time. In fact, the ruby red haired pirate had learned to ignore him amazingly most of the time. Shifting her emerald green eyes back to the leather book, Alice resolved herself to look inside. Pulling on the top black leather buckle, undoing it and then doing the same to the bottom buckle as well, freeing the pages inside. Amazingly, they were still crisp and white as if new. Some had a little yellowing of age but for the most part, it was as if Ookami never touched these pages. However, the bat's scent was all over it, the pages fanning out the smell. A slight blush appeared on the demolition expert's face as she questioned why this was. Shaking her head, Alice flipped her thump to the hold the book and first page in her right hand, holding it up slightly as she leaned back on the stool.

The hand writing was the first clear sign as to the person who Ookami really was. A person's personality spoke volumes in the way they wrote. Typically those who wrote with small hand writing were shy, studious, concentrated, and/or meticulous. Large writing means a person is usually outgoing, people-oriented, and love attention. Then finally average size meant someone is adaptive and well adjusted. Another thing was that people who write with wide spacing between words generally enjoy their freedom, don't like crowds, and don't like to be overwhelmed. Narrow spaces signaled a person usually don't like to be alone, likes to crowd people. People withe rounded letters marked people who are artistic and creative while pointed letters meant aggressive, intelligent, intense, or even curious in nature. People who connected letters generally are logical and systematic. While people who cross the letter T at the very top meant a person is usually optimistic, ambitious, and had lots of good self-esteem. Crossing it in the middle signaled a person is confident, and comfy in their skin. Wow... I can't believe I am remembering this stuff from School. Strange...

Alice arched her eybrows as she closed the diary as she paused in her thoughts for a moment. Shrugging she let the memory flow again. The next thing she remembered from a Physiology class was that people who had open O's were talkative, social, and expressive. The opposite was true for people with closed O's. They were typically Private, and introverted. People who dotted the letter I high up meant that person is imaginative. If the dot was to the left, it marked a procrastinator. If the Dot in perfect in the middle, it meant a person was detail oriented, organized, and emphatic. Next was a circle for the dot. it usually meant a person is visionary or child like. Strange how little things like how a person wrote could tell so much about a person. A person who is overly critical usually used a strike as the dot over an I.

Opening the Diary, Alice could tell Ookami was a mix of these things. It clued her in on how she was feeling as her sister wrote these words. It showed Alice how Ookami really was. Apparently, Ookami grew up with her dad, odd, she never said anything about her parents before, then again, neither did she. She grew up on a cold island. Full of wonderful white snow. It must of been nice. Alice always loved the snow, didn't like the cold oddly enough. It could of been the same temperature the previous day but the next as it snowed, it felt nicer for the ruby red head. Scanning over the pages, Alice hunted for important clues that might help her find out what made Ookami the way she was. What was the start of it all. What could be the root for the insanity. And she found it. Ookami killed her dad. She was left with no one but Kuro. And with that white sword too... the sword that killed her mother too. Snapping the leather diary closed, Alice quickly latched it shut and put it away in her back pack for later and for safe keeping, she needed to find her dear sister in arms now. Alice might have a way to fix or at least help the issues in the bat's belfry. There was a loud belch and the stench of pickles. "You mother... oh Imma get you Kuro... Snarled Alice as her mind was like a crazy train jumping off the rails and back on again before going off again. Ookami and Kuro came from the kitchen. Ookami had changed into a white silky sheer dress. Alice could almost see under the dress, making her blush and look away, coughing a little. "Um... isn't that more for bed time Ookami? Anyway... um, I was peeking... not at you! The... the Diary, yours I mean. Um, wow.. is it getting a little warm in here or is it just me? Anywho, um, Speaking of warm, what do you say we blow this island and me and you head to Drum island? You and me could explore around, build snowmen... help you gain closure and maybe come to grips with your dad." Alice talked out the side of her mouth for the last part, not really wanting to openly address her motives for the time being. Meanwhile outside, the rays of sun light were drawing closer to a close as it was slowly passing beyond the horizon. The contest with Fudo was sure to be drawing to a Close soon.

Kuro was chomping down on the pickles with loud obnoxious CRUNCHES. He was shoving the pickles into his mouth until it was too difficult to chew. The pickles made a squeaky sound in his mouth in his attempts to sever their bodies. Keiko sat beside Kuro on a wooden stool. Kuro heard Alice approach first and at the sight of her he took a pickle and shoved it into his mouth to make a green smile. He took the last pickle out of the barrel and waved it around at Alice, "You want this do you?" Kuro said in sign language with a smirk on his face. Kuro held out his paw for Alice to take the delights he did not wish to give up.

Keiko turned in her stool slightly to face Alice. Her eyes wide and angular at Alice's words. Keiko's words slithered out like serpent, "Diary...oh yes?" Keiko had no idea what she was talking about, and had never remembered even writing anything what so ever. At least, not that Keiko... Keiko's ears perked up, "What's wrong with my clothes? I like them and Kuro says it could make a good napkin. KUKUUKUKU! Besides it looks like curtains and I need it to confuse or distract my enemies." Keiko wavered her arms in the open air where her sheer clothing draping down like curtains. She flipped her hair to the left side, besides my cape was dirty so Kuro's wearing it. The black rabbit had the cape that was small for his size slung over his big shoulders that made it look even smaller. He wore the crimson side out revealing golden liquid letters, "Ookami." Keiko patted down her long fingernails on her outfit and rubbing the sheer on her fingertips for good measure.

She continued with a dark look in her eyes, "Right...my father. I have written to him for several months, but he has stopped replying, which means only one thing. He has forsaken me as his daughter, he must have found out that I am a murderous creature and denied me my own blood." Keiko sighed heavily her chest sinking into her chest cavity with the last word. She pursed her lips into a slight smile, "Maybe I'm getting too worked up, but what do you think?" Kuro began to slurp at the pickle barrel before holding it over his head and purposely shrouding himself within it. With a click of her nails Keiko scratched her face. "We should go dinosaur hunting. I'll see my father later I'm too scared to see him now...besides I've been planning a surprise, for you, but I'm not quite ready yet..." Keiko's fangs protruded from her lips slightly with her thoughts as she touched the white book in the black leather satchel she had "borrowed."

Keiko hopped off the stool and made her way to Alice. Keiko curled her cold fingers around Alice's arm. Her lids dropped slightly gazing dreamily at Alice. "Will you come with me? I-I want to catch a big dinosaur together with you and Kuro." She could imagine her teeth biting into scales that seemed to be a lucid dream only she was thinking of Alice's scales. Keiko winced, "If you don't mind..." Keiko laughed nervously and began walking out of the hall to reach the deck and leave the ship. She rubbed the satchel with one hand, as if it was a genie lamp. She hope her father would give her their blessing, even if he really did disown her. She wasn't sure, but she wasn't just about to jump to conclusions.

Following her strange fellow crew mate and sister in arms, Alice tried to not look directly at her, thankfully though, her cape was covering the girl from behind. "Well, if you aim to distract... you sure nailed it there." Mumbled the zoan woman as she tried to think of something else, anything else for that matter other then the lewd image of her sister, wet in her white cloth jumpsuit. The wet fabric clinging to her skin. Shaking her head, Alice frowned as she was not going to imagine such things. It was wrong after all, she didn't know if Ookami even liked any other humans much less liked fellow women. Though, for Alice, her case was rather special. Since Ookami had choose to give the ruby red head her diary, it was only right Alice share with her dear sister in arms close personal details as well. However, there would be time for that later when they could be alone.

They also had a small matter of a side bet to determine who ruled the crew between them and Fudo. It was nearing night time which meant they both only had just an hour roughly to complete the task in time. As they walked through the hallways, Alice stopped to peek in at the crew who owned the ship and said, "Oh, hey, sorry about the guys, um, hey, do you mind bringing the ship a little closer to land and perhaps start building a huge twenty food tall and twenty foot wide Bonefire please? Great thanks, you guy have roughly an Hour, oh and please see about getting rum and food cooked or ready. Tonight will mark the continuation of Fudo's reign or, the mark of the new leadership of Ookami and myself. Either way, celebrations will be in order."

With that, Alice set off behind Ookami, mind going to work on how she might further improve upon her weapon gauntlets. She knew she needed a better way of storing them while still being available at any point in time. She liked how they could rotate and collapse away into a more manageable and compact form, however, there was no way to tell which was the left and which was the right when they were like that. Then there was the issue of size, how she was going to deal with the gun mechanisms for her weapons as well. She needed a better way to carry her bombs as well. As it was, she was a walking suicide bomber with an unknown detonation time. She also needed a better way of telling which ones were witch without taking up so much space in her backpack. One solution was from a comic called Ghouls of Tokyo. Alice remembered the human fighters who fought against the ghouls would carry briefcases and with a press of a button, the case would open up revealing the weaponized ghoul remains. The expert demolitions expert and inventor could come up with something like that for her gauntlets. Having them unfold and be ready fr combat all with the flick of a button.

Keiko was leading the way into the forbidden forest, which is what is sure felt like with giant trees that appeared to be touching the sky and vines draping down with melancholy moss. There were bugs walking about with their legs rubbing against their own. Keiko could heard swarms of insects walking in mindless herds trying to find a purpose within one another. Her lurking eyes dwindling over the earth and fallen leaves that left imprints on the ground like multicolored tapestry. Alice was right behind her and with her senses she could tell that she was nervous about something and breathing heavily. By just the smell of Alice's sweat and the synchronization of her blood from before she could keep count of Alice's heart beat without even feeding from her. Keiko's smile awoke and her eyes flickered like the wicker of a red chandelier. Alice's scent was invigorating, intoxicating and made Keiko absolutely wild. Keiko's fangs drew out over her bottom lip to keep her from laughing a deep laugh when she felt this way. She had succeeded, but for how long could see play this role of a silent dame in a jungle of beast, she was referring to Alice of course. The same Alice that falls down rabbit holes chasing Kuro's kind just to break free from the dream she accidentally fell into, however this Alice was not going to break free from her daze that Keiko had put her in and she was going to make sure of it.

Keiko's smile fell and her face became sharp and serious,as she thought to herself. I was just that character you never heard of, always following Alice to make sure she found her way. I had to threat those fiendish charecters to leave her be but in the mist of my snaring she escaped and I've been dwindling ever since waiting for Alice's hopeful return. Keiko sighed slightly unable to hide her aggravation any longer. She had loved that book as a child, the horror version as well, but now the time was not to thinks of those bonkers moments because Alice was in the mist yet again. Keiko clicked her claws in her left hand while her right kept rubbing the white book in the satchel. she began to breath deeply whispering soon to herself over and over again, but low enough that it was inaudible. She was clustering into her own thoughts unaware of her clinging clothes, rain if it were or even an enemy. She heard the insects whistling in the path and very much wanted to ground down on their exoskeletons for silence. "Leave then she whispered to herself they might be romantic..." The birds were looking for someplace to take cover in their sporadic chimes like the bells of cathedrals. Their yellow feathers were like those birds she saw for sale once in the market, no it was the bird, but what was it doing here. Keiko's eyes opened wide, but it couldn't be it was the same but different. Canaries but of a larger size were gawking at them with their heads rubbing together.

Surely, Keiko wanted to catch one they would be perfect a pair of love birds for such a beautiful occasion she was planning. Their was a flaring sound that blew wind from a pair of nostrils. Dammit, how far were they in this dark place. Were they that deep into the forest for the predators to be occurring now. Two bright blue eyes in red scaly skin became noticeable. It's tiny pupils were locked on the pair of canaries. Keiko didn't want the canaries to be eaten since she wanted to capture them for a limited amount of time. Then she saw something else a pair of dinosaur eggs coped up by a tree. she couldn't kill the t-Rex and take a mother from her babies. Keiko was paralyzed in thought for a moment and instinctively found herself drawing her breath. The dinosaur was drawing closer to the canaries with it's droll clobbering to the floor as it's lips parted.

Keiko was going to scream to scare the birds away, but when she did it was not a scream she heard it was different. Her high pitched wail hit high frequency's she never new existed alerting the insects on the trees. The crickets with the instincts to get away from a bat were hopping from the trees due to Keiko's natural echo location. The canaries saw the crickets looping about and flew off after them making the T-rex chomp on nothingness. The pair of yellow wings brushed each other as they flew away. Keiko wanted to chase after them, but now she had a much bigger problem on their hands. The dinosaur gurgled loudly before letting out a bellowing roar. Keiko look directly at Alice no knowing if they should run away or if she should just end it's life now.

As they made thier way from the ship to the main land. Alice could not help but wonder what in the world was taking Fudo so long. He said that the contest was over by sun down but here it was within the last slivers of light from the sun. The sand under her boots crunched as the female pirate followed her sister in arms Ookami back into the jungle forest on the island full of long thought extinct dinosaurs. It was shocking enough her zoan fruit power was that of a dinosaur but to think there were actual living dinosaurs was a bit much. The other thing that was troubling her mind was the issue between the samurai boy. This was not something that should be allowed, even if Koga was nothing but a nobody punk. Alice could of ended Koga's life so fast that the world would of gone black to him as all he could focus on was her fist as it hurtled twards his face, marked death. An overwhelming fear that he surely going to die. However, the ruby red haired pirate chose to hold back her anger. To hold back her power. It had been a long and annoying day with some good moments. However for the most part she was just not in the mood for anything.

On top of everything, As Alice looked into Ookami's diary, that in of it's self was a mentally exausting effort, she was deeply troubled as to the extent of how broken her dear sister Ookami really was. Alice herself was broken in a lot of ways but she always made an effort to keep it under wraps. To never let the monster that she really was out or less another berserk moment might happen like back on Cactus Island. Just the thought of that god forsaken island made the demolition inventor shiver from head to toe. Alice followed behind the bat zoan mindlessly as she thought about the day and how to better tomorrow. As the vines, leaves, and brush passed them. It was dark as night under the canopy of the tree tops as they seemed to grow in size and height the deeper they traveled. Things were becoming more and more primal as they traveled along. Stopping, Alice looked around to see what exactly it was that Ookami saw. Alice all but ran into the woman had she not been keeping a few paces back.

Ookami let out a high pitched scream forcing the nesting wild life to flee in terror. What in the world was the girl thinking at this time thought Alice as she looked around, trying to see what she was screaming at. Then there came the sound of branches snapping and the sound of leaves shifting as a tree is bent out of the way. It was a rather large T-rex. Larger then the one from before, twice as big she had to guess. Arming up, Alice readied herself for the beast. It was large but not large enough. They needed something so big the it's very head rested in the clouds. A long neck dinosaur, like the Dreadnoughtus schrani. Dashing forward with a bust of speed to the likes of which that Alice was but a blur, she appeared directly under the giant carnivore. Alice has a large smile on her face, akin to a Cheshire cat as she reared back and punched the beast with both fists. Two large elephant sized shockwaves merging into one as the very air was drilled into from the force of her punch. Alice had unleashed her most powerful attack twice over into one unbelievable attack to the chest area of the T-rex. Hello... and goodbye. THIRD WAVE!!!

Keiko was unsure of what to do at this point. Alice's shock waves pushed the T-Rex back and instantly stunning it as it trampled to the ground unable to move. The giant dinosaur moaned loudly having already been tired at laying her own eggs. The dinosaur landed on it's chest with a loud THUMP before drowsily looking at them. Luckily the dinosaurs tail had narrowly missed it's unborn children in their shell of a nest. This move was just a display of Alice's power by the warm blood coursing through her veins. Seeing the dinosaur incapacitated Keiko went chasing after the pair of canaries. Keiko ran on er tip toes at full speed until launching into the air to catch the yellow birds; however, they understood the chase and dipped down into the jungle. Keiko lost sight of the pair due to the golden lining of the sun slowly fading into the earth. She had decided to use echo location again to see where the love birds had gone. Her echo location was kind of like a second set of eyes by using her voice to bounce back the sound waves of her frequencies being disrupted.

Keiko let out such a high pitched noise that no one would be able to hear. She had left Alice without warning to chase he desires if only she could catch them. She could tell their location with the high frequency, but had to keep her eyes closed to go after them. She let out a screech three times and was tracking them effectively. Then the sun was completely gone when she heard a more powerful screech finding her. It sounded like her own calls except bigger and longer. Keiko was flapping her wings through the air when she saw the black flying mass above her, SNATCH. Keiko was caged in around the waist by wrinkly finger like hands with inch long claws. There was a fwipping of wings and Keiko was out of sight.

The black mass could be easily identified as a giant vampire bat. Keiko tried to take out her Nodachi's, but the creature had it's claws wrapped around her sheaths making her unable to pull her blades free. This is ironic, she thought, I'm going to be killed by other vampire bats. Keiko stru7ggled but was unable to break free. She thought to try her echo location again, but when she did the bat let out a deafening roar that subdued her into silence. she could have easily been given a migraine at that distance. She knew Alice wouldn't be able to hear such screams, but wondered if she would be able to stumble upon her future dead corpse. Keiko decided to scream normally for once in her life, "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH." Her scream was rather high pitched from the terror. The bat had flown far away from the sight where Alice and Kuro are and they began to near a giant cave in the distance surrounded by black masses. One black mass was abnormally huge and by the chanting of her cries was some kind of feminine leader.

Meanwhile back where the dinosaur is drowsily groaning Kuro waves his arms at Alice in the attempt to communicate with her. "We must leave before it wakes!" Kuro was exceptionally paranoid about Keiko's screams and began to gallop in her direction immediately afraid for her well being. Keiko roared loudly so that Keiko would know he...they were going to get her, "AAAAAAAAHHHHH." He knew that Keiko could take care of herself but he was in charge of her and he had never heard her scream of fear once in her entire life. In the distance Keiko heard a faint roar of Kuro before being pinned to the floor in a nest of shadows.

DIE DIE DIE

As Alice stood over the muzzle of the downed T-rex, alice could not help but grin a wide grin at how powerful she had become. It had been a long time coming. Lots of hardships, lots of failures. Alice had over come a great many things to this point. Having her family reject her, having to survive marine military basic training, surviving missions and then finally after saving her newest squad, saving the injured from a collapsed tunnel, she gets the boot for not remaining at her post. It was shit. Taking her boot off the Dinosaur's muzzle, Alice walked back to where Kuro was as she continued to remember bits of the past that had lead up to this moment. Remembering the months of just hitching rides on boats from island to island in the Blues. Finding work where she could, only to spend it all away on booze. She really was at a low point in her life. It was not till she found herself on Red sand island when things changed.

After being literally thrown off the boat like a piece of trash, Alice stumbled around with no meaning, no reason to live on the filthy island. It was here Alice came to make her first life changing choice. She stole a fruit and after eating it soon regret eating it. It was a devil fruit. The sick nasty taste made her want to vomit, her very insides burned as it spread through out her body. It was as if a divine message was send in the form of punishment. Alice had been wasting her life away. After that, it was then she was shot not once but three times by some punk. Rage filled her body as she changed for the first time in her life as she gave chase to the man. Here, Alice discovered her future sister, savior, and friend Ookami. Sweeping down like the wings of death, they caught the punk but not before he was mutilated and killed. Alice's body ran out of the adrenaline in her body keeping the injected meds in her body from working, It was Ookami who saved her that night. It was the raven black haired introvert that carried her to safety and looked after her till morning as Alice was asleep.

Together Alice found retribution and reason in living again. Sure, their adventures were not always the most glorious, sure, they were bad guys in the eyes of the World Government and to the marines. But Alice didn't care, she would follow Ookami into the jaws of hell it's self without question. They survived the Calm belt, narrowly missing being devoured by seakings, crushed by rocks, but through it all, they survived to make it to Cactus Island. It was here the demonic duo came to meet a new friend, who soon would be no more. Cactus island... the place where it all fell apart literally and figuratively. A place more rotten to the core then ever before. It was there that they met with the man who caused all this misfortune. Fudo mother trucking Saiken. The man was a sleeze and a womanizer. He was filled with the idea he was the very best and that he was going to be king of the world. Yet, the ruby red head chose to follow him because Ookami followed him without question.

They survived being kidnapped by cyborg priests, a quarter of the island being consumed, as what was left of the port town being destroyed as marines and the remaining machines hunted the crew. Fudo nearly died as did everyone. They were left with no ship, no home, and forced to run away with tails tucked between their legs as they left Cactus island on a stolen Marine Ship. It was sort of full circle for Alice as she laid on the deck, panting with exhaustion. The three of them left on a hired mission in hopes of getting some funds and general supplies. After all, they had nothing. Worst choice ever. After nearly being frozen to death, being killed by more cyborgs, eaten alive by acid smoke, and bounty hunters wanting to arrest them... they only managed to come out of the whole adventure only marginally better then before. Thankfully, a crew of fans where in the area and saved them.

Alice was about to pat Kuro on the head when she turned and heard a scream. The demolition pirate was going to tell the Rabbit that even if he might of been annoying, she was still glad he was alive and that he looked after Ookai and herself. However, it was the scream that sent chills down her spine. A scream that she had never heard before, a scream from her dear sister Ookami! Bolting in the direction, Alice left Kuro in her dust as she raced after Ookami. Fear and sweat pushing her faster then ever before. Keiko had never once shown fear, she was always more powerful, more deadly then anything they had ever faced before. Alice rushed in the darkess as she she morphed into the colorful dinosaur hybrid she usually changed into. Feathers growing from her body as her skin turned into hues of orange, yellow, and black. Her long tail and claws forming as Alice used the power of Haki as her heart raced. It was a skill she had to yet master. A skill she only really had a slight grasp on but it was like Cactus Island. Here when she was at her most vulnerable, most fearful, she was scared not of herself but of her sister.

Her mind was like a third eye as she was able to see life forms all around her. they were like glowing colorful blobs but she could see them. Alice saw up ahead before the power faded just as quickly was it had came where Ookami was. It came in the middle of a stride as Alice was jumping over a large root. It was almost like time was all but stopped when the power of her will manifested. As the stride ended, so did the power and Alice stumbled, rolling in the dark as the ruby red head looked on in wonder. Was that the power of awareness that had manifested in her. Was it a sign that it was the next step in evolution for her. She first manifested the power of Haki in the form of Armament and then the power of future sight. Now it was the power to see sight beyond sight. Shaking her head as behind the hybrd raptor, Kuro sounded out. Alice was half way there. Standing up, Alice winced in pain as she looked down, she had cut her leg from knee to mid thigh. Not caring and needed to continue forth, Alice dug her feet and claws into the earth as she pushed off, sending dust, leaves, and chunks of earth into the air as Alice put on more speed then before, appearing like a blur as Alice activated her flash-step ability. Hopefully Ookami would be ok to last long enough. She was still a quarter of the ways there. "HOLD ON!! I'LL BE THERE SOON, JUST HOLD ON, I'LL BE THERE SOON!!"

Keiko was grinding her teeth with the lingering taste of dirt in her mouth that made her cough. She took a deep breath with her face turned to the earth. It was quiet as death. The bats must be gone, she thought before she tried to steady herself on the ground with her arms. Her wrists were tired and aching with a sharp pain. The dirt was spurting from her lips in thick black globs. She lifted her head and her eyes met with the abnormally large creatures; however, as they surrounded her on all sides. The bats were so silent and all life among it that a slight pinging rang in her ears. Her eyes separated in fear. What do they want? She thought she could make a run for it, but then she let out another elongated scream, as the bat that brought her to this place had wrapped its claws around the back of her neck. The weight of the creature smashed her head on the floor before pulling her up to a stand. Keiko shivered slowly with her eyes on what appeared to be some kind of queen beast before her. She was taller than the rest with her dialed eyes of death peering straight into Keiko’s soul.

The queen bat seemed to have a human understanding, as her jaws opened wide and a screeching sound came out like an order. The other bats turned their heads to face Keiko with their wings folded in like forbidding capes that rested on the floor. Keiko could see the brown veins in the folds of their wings and ears. She felt as if she was being judged on the stands of a peerless fate. The queen’s orders were answered immediately as the bat quickly pulled the sheaths off Keiko’s back. Keiko’s heart was pumping like a quadruped on the run for freedom. Her swords fell heavily to the floor CLANCKING onto one another and the satchel she borrowed along with it. Though beads of sweat poured down her temples she made a grab for the satchel. The black nightmare did not let go; however, and they were in a tugging match that Keiko could not possibly win. Keiko refused to let go even as she was flung around like a rag doll. The satchel made a TEARING sound and a white book leapt out of it. The bats face showed nothing, but unforgiving hatred. Its eyes were locked on Keiko’s throat.

Keiko heard Alice’s cried through the jungles to save her. Keiko’s eyes darted to the white title less book that had become tainted in the dirt. Keiko’s legs were parted into a running stance with her arms out like wings, but she did not change. The queen bat screeched again as the bats stared at her in confusion before their eyes darted back to Keiko. The bat zoan turned back around to face the queen that snatched the book under her sharp claws. The queen’s eyes shut slowly before opening again like the sun rising in a fathomless gold. Keiko held her breath with her arms on the book, as her fear was dwindling. She was about to open her mouth when the hideous feeling sprang back on her again. The bats began to roar at Keiko all at once. Their high pitched cries were like the ghost of banshees. Keiko’s face felt hot of all the pressure in her ears. She could feel the bat inside going crazy, as if they wanted her to change form. Their efforts to do so, was fruitless for Keiko’s teeth did not protrude from her lips nor, her hair face to a snowy white. Keiko wasn’t changing because she was different somehow, as if she was infected with some kind of special means. The black demons weren’t giving up until their queen raised her left wing making them fall silent.

Her eyes became sharp as the black bat outstretched both wings making Keiko cower in fear. Her cursed nodachi’s were no longer near her and she could not feel their power. Keiko could hear her own raspy breathing as she charged forward to grab the white book from under the dark voids clutches. The black wings were blocking out the light as they wrapped around Keiko squeezing her into the fur before being dragged into the cave. In an instant all the bats sprang into the cave becoming completely invisible in the wake of its darkness. It was cold here even in the forced embrace with the queen. She was released before being thrown into the dark Clapping into a small stream of water. Keiko could still see them climbing on the ceiling walls upside down with their wings clicking like their enraged throats of the cave. Keiko could still see the mouth of the cave in the distant with the light unable to make its way to the far end. The cave had points on the top and bottom with a stream of water leaking out that looked almost like the devils throat.

Her arms were still wrapped around the white book. Short breaths came out of her lips as the queen bent its face towards Keiko’s. There was something strange about the queen, as her fur seemed to sway without wind and grow against the rules of time. Keiko felt tears welling up in her eyes. What is this creature? Keiko realized it then that the queen was controlling her own hair that became long and blocked out the light of the cave completely. They were left in infinite darkness, but at the same time Keiko had a separate understanding of the creature that was only natural. The bat queen tried to strike her but ended up slashing the white book sending the parchment flying throughout the devil’s throat. The pages fell like snow with each page with a heading title Marrying the One You Love. Keiko was unable to dodge the second attack with the bats giant fangs protruding into the waist on her left side. Keiko was struggling with her veins pulsing like the chimes of a grandfather clock, as her blood was seeping into the mouth of the devil herself. Blood spurted from her mouth mixing with the taste of dirt. Keiko felt herself growing weaker by the moment until she was released into the stream trying to grab onto her life of falling snow. Blood was streaming into the water turning it red. Her left hand clasped a page to her heart as she struggled for survival. Keiko saw the bats twirling together like a black tornado and breaking a hole into the roof of the cave and disappearing for good. It was exactly what a swarm of bats out hell would look like just as she’d always imagined it… Keiko felt as if gravity was nonexistent and could feel herself floating away. Keiko peered up as the rocks that barely missed her were crumpling to down the cave and rolling out of the mouth. Her eyes were locked on the blue sky as a bunny cloud passed. She felt as if she could float up and touch it because her body was so numb. Her eyelids became heavy until they came to a close.

DIE DIE DIE
[ * * * ]
The night was almost on them as the last moments of sunlight were passing beyond the ridges of the world. The sky was dark on one side while on the other is was a mixture of brilliant purple, blue, orange, yellow, and red. It was like a paint stroke from the god of crafting. However, at the current time, Alice could not stop to wonder at the sheer beauty of the passing twilight sky. She could not bother herself in the pain as leaves and brush cut her as she made her made dash towards the direction that she heard Ookami scream in pure terror. A scream that seemed to send cold chills down the hybrid raptor's spine. Making her shiver from her head to the tip of the fin like feathered tail of hers. Alice was racing at top speed as she feared for the worst. Never before had Ookami screamed, at least not like that. Never as if she was sure she was going to die. The domolition explosive inventor pirate knew that she had no hope of besting something that even Ookami could not best. Yet, for her crew, no, for her family, Alice would risk it all.

The canopy of the forest made it hard to see but she could tell the ground was pulling up in elevation sharply. Yet with lungs burning, muscles on fire as Alice raced up the growing mountain she heard yet another scream. This time fainter but it was loud enough to let Alice know she was on the right track and her sister was not dead yet. Gritting those sharp fangs, white fangs meant to pierce and cut the flesh of others, teeth made for devouring other living things. Alice sunk deep as she put on a second burst of speed. Appearing like a blur once more as she raced as if trying to beat death it's self, as if trying to out run time immortal. The wind was like the hands of death pushing against her. It was cold and cut her to the bone. It made the crimson life that leaked from her cuts burn all the worst. But at least, Alice made it to the mouth of the cave. Panting and wheezing, Alice folded over with one hand against the wall of the cave.

Just then, a sound came from the cave, and the sky filled in fluttering ebony darkness. Millions of bats came flying from the cave at once. It was like nothing Alice had ever seen before. It was so much she was hit and forced backwards from the mouth of the cave. Sending her flailing in a forced back flip in the air. Landing with just ten feet from the mouth of the cave, Alice holding on to the rocky face with her left hand by some sheer luck. However, the save was not too lucky as a piece of a long since dead bush, stabbed Alice in the side. Piercing her right side, narrowly missing her kidney. Blood pumping as Alice had the wind knocked from her as well. "Oooooooow. Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow... Oh man... that hurts... fuck. Ow. Ok... ok, Chill. Nothing to be stupid over... not like your sister's life is at stake or anything. Ok... ow! Fuck... can't pull myself from the object... need to leave it in. it is deep enough to cause a suction. Keeping blood loss to a minimum... ironically enough. OW!! Oh god this is gonna suck... Hold on Kieko, im almost there."

Alice spoke mostly to herself. She had left Kuro miles behind. First thing she needed to do was find a foot hold. After a few attempts, that was simple enough as she wedged the tips of her feet into cracks on the mountain. It was a good seventy degree embankment. After that, Alice reached between herself and dug at the earth around the dead plant. each time she dug, it sent all new waves of pain as the object in her moved as well. however, she was able to dig just enough of the earth away so that she could get a better grip of the bush. Gritting her teeth in preparation for something really painful, Alice gripped the dead base of the bush and twisted her wrist, breaking it off. Now free to move, Alice looked up at the cave and climbed back up. Alice was like a orange golden figure at the mouth of the cave. standing as her chest heaved and right hand holding the steam of the bush in place. Left eye closed and teeth showing in a snarl. Alice roared while punching into the darkness. Pulling on the finger activation trigger to her gun gauntlets with her left hand. sending off two loud echoing shots into the dark. "KNOCK!! KNOCK!! IT'S ALICE!! FOLLOWING THE WHITE RABBIT!! AND I'M READY TO TUMBLE IN THE HOLE IN WONDERLAND WITH WHATEVER MAD HATTER THAT TOOK MY RED QUEEN!!" It was a little spur of the moment humor but even the inventor herself could not help but laugh a little over how stupid it was but it was effective.

Keiko's blood froze cold as death. Her body became stiff and she moved no longer. Her eyelids were too heavy to lift and her heart was barely beating against her chest with the dwindling rhythm. Her breath was cut short, but her veins were burning intensely. Strangely enough she could still hear the world, as if it were on the other side of a door that was becoming farther and farther away. The voice was familiar, but Keiko couldn't place it, since it was raspy like a darkling creature of the night. She could feel the monster being pushed away from her with the dials of time. She was in a kind of strange limbo within her head filling with bright images that quickly became dark. She saw kind faces like Kuro, Alice and the captain that seemed to twist together in color to make something else entirely. It was the queen bat staring down at her within her head. The fierce eyes were peering down within her with no safe haven. In reality her limp body began to respond turning hot like the queen was watching her, but wasn't.

Meanwhile far off in the distance Kuro was galloping at full speed, which wasn't as fast as Alice but got the job done after a long time. Kuro was behind but managed to follow Alice's scent and traces of blood along the woods. He ran on all fours and appeared very much like a giant bear of some sort. He could also hear Alice's cries not too far off and came stampeding towards her. Her had just reached the edge of the jungles and saw Alice at the mouth of the cave. Alice seemed to be in some kind of trace almost. His eyes darted across the ground looking for Keiko and grazed the sky, but she was no where in sight. Her swords were on the floor in an X, but neither of them glowed with any recognition. He knew what that meant... Kuro began to cry when he took a whiff of the air but his animal instincts only smelled death. He ran back into the jungles and gathered uneven pieces of wood, he battering them together with his giant paws. Kuro used tree sap as glue and vines to tie together some lose ends as large straps. He was only an animal, but did the best he could to make those funny boxes they store people in when they smell funny. All Kuro need now was hinges and a lid. The lid was the easy part before he popped three holes on the corners of the door and box edges and used vines as hinges. He had seen this process done several times on Drumb island, but had no idea what the damn thing was called. His box contraption broke several times. He didn't have the intelligence to build one. The coffin cracked and crumpled under his strong paws.

Keiko's body was still seeping into the water and the shrill light that reaching her from above. Her body did not react to the warm of the sun like it usually would. She wasn't moving at all and her body was stiff. There were no visions in her mind. If Keiko could see anything at all it was darkness and only darkness. Kuro walked slowly to the mouth of the cave now whimpering. He was dragging the cracked up box by him with the vines at hand. Alice was panting when he walked into the black cave dragging the box besides him after Alice. Kuro did not bother explaining to Alice that Keiko was dead, he wanted to be as painless as possible.
