Cyborgs; Worth asking? Probably not.

Welp, not long ago, I finally posted my Cyborg OC and, although her sheet is flagged and ready for approval, there are still some questions and uncertainties I have on the actual Cyborg race when these are able to attain a peak of technology that is more advanced than Basic Cyborg. Keep in mind that most of the answers I want are mostly for Advanced and New World Cyborgs:

1) Are Cyborg linked to anything that is advanced cyberpunk when they achieve the "Advanced" stage in the Grand Line? And, by that, I mean stuff that appears in the Deus Ex video game series, such as this:

I know it might break the One Piece spirit, but, really, not everyone wants to look like Franky.

2) As for New World Cyborgs, are they able to become Cyborgs that are similar to what you would see in heavy science-fiction? Common example would be Custom Robos and Gundam mechs, if that helps.

3) If limbs are added, such as additional arms, would these limbs be able to harbor weapons within them as much as their normal former versions that the Cyborgs were born with?

4) Are things like integrated hover systems a la Iron Man allowed? This question excludes jet packs.

5) Are Cyborg allowed to have a radar system integrated in their eyes or something that would allow them to detect the people around them?

6) Are Cyborgs allowed to have Zoan-like "forms" in which certain stats of theirs are actually buffed? Ex: Power (STR), Speed (SPE), Vision (ACC), etc.

7) When Cyborgs rank up from let's say Advanced (3 General Traits) to New World Cyborg (5 General Traits), are the General Traits used for Advanced Cyborg refunded? What I ask here is if the results of the subtraction of the number of Traits here (5-3 = 2) is actually given back to you.

Again, keep in mind that all of these questions I've just asked are not concerning Basic Cyborgs and I bet some of them can't even be allowed for Advanced either.

I also know all of these changes would be very expensive and ask a lot of high rank Techs, but, hey, one fool can still have some faith in getting them. :)

If you want to look like that, sure.

Going to need to be a bit more specific there, do you want to look like a mini gundam or is there something they can do that you want or…..

Yes

You can have flight systems but using iron man hover tech flavour for them……kind of a hard sell.

Yeah sure.

No

When you rank up along the various cyborgs, you just pay the difference in traits. So from Advanced to New world you would just pay two traits.

Well, for the Gundam thing, I meant general appearance and weapons, such as small rocket launchers coming from the shoulders or laser cannons.

Take this picture as an example:

May I ask why a Cyborg couldn't get general buffs when it reaches New World Cyborg? Is it for balancing?

You can certainly make cybernetic enhancements that improve something like digitigrade legs for faster movement, or a zoom function for eyes. That's allowed, but you need a tech to utilize them. It doesn't make sense for there to be a passive buff to the stat based on technology, but a specific action involving the cybernetics is more reasonable. Having a zoom function doesn't make you more accurate, you just see further. That's my understanding of cyborgs and why they work the way they work.

For New World cyborgs it changes kinda, but ultimately the function will still be the same. You basically create a new enhancement on the fly, right? You're certainly able to make flavor "forms" but you still need to use the new enhancement. If you had a power form where you got arms with pistons that gave your punches extra "oomph" you only have that boosted strength when the pistons fire.

I hope this helps.

Certainly helped a little.

However, I'm not really asking for the multi-arms to actually be a buff of any kind, just a permanent body expansion that allows for better maneuverability as a whole. :P

Yeah, balancing reasons. A lot of things outside of specific professions and zoans don't get buffs.

Cyborg's strong enough as is, only need a lot of beli which isn't much of an issue at the later stages.

Hm, I suppose this was to be expected thanks to the Zoan form.

Oh well, it's cool, I guess, in the end, that I won't even need them thanks to the sheer amount of Beli that can be earned within the waters of the Grand Line alone.

Now I just hope that the multiple arms thing won't be forced to be a tech only. I can understand if that is asked for weapons installed on them, but I'm sure that, if they are just normal Cyborg arms, having them permanent won't really be that big of a deal.

Some last questions before I probably leave this thread completely dead.

-When using a Zoan Devil Fruit and pairing it with Cyborg parts, are the latter adapting themselves to the Zoan hybrid forms?

-And, last but not least since it follows the last question, if additional limbs are added and they are not made out of flesh, will the Zoan forms still adapt to them?

Soooo, since this thread seems to be dead again, I might as well ask another question now that I'm at it. However, it's a bit off-topic.

Is it possible to reserve Devil Fruits in order to ensure that your OC will take it in the near future without fear of somebody getting it before you?

Statborg? o3o
Long long ago, at the dawn of OPRP cyborg worked much differently. Cyborg traits were 1 trait each, and it applied to a specific body part(s). Debending on the traits/parts cybernized you gained a + to a related stat. Starting at base + 5 you got strength for arms, stamina for torso, accuracy for head, and speed for legs. You could increase the +5 to plus 10 for 5m beli, increase to 15 for an n additional 10m, and to 20 for an additional 20 million. In total you could spend 40m for an extra +20 per stat.

I see, I see.

That..... actually could work along with the new system. I mean, why not? It's basically "Pay for a part that gives you a stat bonus".
