The Arcade incident had left the denizens of Las Arcadas in a very bad state of affairs. The majority of the island had felt the devastation of the attacks of the Ex-Warlord and her fiendish plots and weapons. The island which had been under her own protection had fell victim to the wrath of the pirate, something which they weren't soon to forget. Moral was low for the islanders, the effort to restore their homes came from the World Government. In fact, one of the World Nobles was leading the charge on restoring the islands homes and known casinos. Figuratievley, that is. The Tenryuubito known as Augustus wasn't to be seen outside of his confines, a large chamber made of marble, gold embedded around it like rings. A bubble was held around it, akin to the coating used to traverse the depths of the sea. Beneath the large marble mobile chambers were twelve men, each one possessed a multitude of scars. A large fabric hung from each one of them, stretching from their shoulders to their feet. They all stood upright, holding the marble up. They were considered Augustus' inner circle known as such because around them was yet another bubble. The double layer being something of a trademark for the World Noble. Around this second bubble were dozens of marines. The World Noble sat close towards the entrance, his gaze laying at the construction. Sandy blond hair sat atop his head, fashioned into the distinct look of the Celestial Dragons. It was difficult to see him, the interior was made so that light shined out from it, blinding anyone who tried looking into it. As the Marines made their way through the island, quite a few nodded towards one of the men who had assisted in putting an end to Arcade's hold on the island, even if it was at the expense of the island. He also would have received fanfare from quite a few of the islanders, grateful for his current work. Among those around the island was Commander Hazel Mars, a marine known for her skills as a medic. She had been the one in charge of receiving the report of Raine's activities on Brick Blues. Dressed in her usual attire bunny ears in full flop, she made her way towards the bounty hunter leader, he steps more like hops. "Mister Salty," she nodded her greeting, despite usually having been cheerier, with the presence of one of her employers somewhere on the island, all of the Marines had to keep a hardy face. "Do you require any assistance?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. |

William’s head felt weirdly out of balance. He had been thinking about getting a haircut since the aftermath of the fight with Don Carlepone, when the Queen made a snarky comment about his long hair. It wasn’t until today that he was able to gather enough courage to part with his long curls however. Knowing he would meet a Celestial Dragon seemed to make it much easier. Now he felt much lighter than normal, which was very uncomfortable. He hadn’t slept this entire night either, voyaging all the way from Nemea on his wings by night just to make it here on time. And make it he did. He even had time to get a haircut and take a shower too. That said, he had no idea what to say to this world noble. Anything he thought of rang in his ears as hollow. How would he convince the highest authority in this world that he should be put in charge of this island when he wasn't convinced of that himself? It was a bit frustrating how the opportunity for him to make his case presented itself on its own, and he was at a loss of words. All the arguments he'd been thinking of right after saving the island, which seemed so convincing at the time, completely vanished from his mind now that he needs them. He had enough experience in negotiations to know that this was a sign of panic and stress, and such feelings were justified in this situation, yet allowing them to paralyze him like this was very amateurish. He needed a distraction. As he walked towards the route of the great palanquin that housed Augustus, he searched for such a thing desperately. Truth be told, he walked by a dozen of distractions that would have been good enough on a normal day, not the least of which the positive attention and cheers the locals were giving him, but none of that seemed interesting today. Man, I wish Raine were here... or Mortimer... or Langsam... or anyone really. I wouldn't be such a mess if I had some moral support... Come to think of it though, Raine would probably be rude to the World Noble. Mortimer could probably help, but he would be overexcited. Langsam is the only one who would be useful with this kind of thing... His daydreaming about his crew mates continued like this for a while, until he found himself approaching the marble palanquin. There were dozens of marines around them, but only one stepped forward to meet William. That was exactly what Will needed to forget all his anxiety and chill a little: Talking to a girl with bunny ears and a backpack. Where do they even get these guys from? he thought as he looked at the Commander. "Yes you can help me as a matter of fact. I would like to Speak to his Highness Mr. Augustus. I believe I can be of further assistance to the World Government in protecting and developing this island." Edited by Franky, Dec 19 2015, 06:42 PM.

The Jacks of all Trades were a group that had been rising within the ranks of the Bounty Hunting community, so much so, that Marine officers found themselves being able to identify the members with ease. How open the group has been to support by the Marines along with the willingness of their co-operation in assisting with their own affairs was obvious. The Carlepone and Arcadia incidents were proof alone of this. The Marines that were now situated on the island had been put under orders to assist the co-leader of the group whenever they could, provided it operated within their own jurisdiction, which is why the Marine Commander blinked as she heard the request. "I'm sorry, come again?" she asked in utter disbelief, trying to figure out his words. "You want to speak with the Celestial Dragon... are you crazy? Even referring to him by his first name," she caught herself, a hand shooting up to cover her mouth, her right foot thumping against the ground as if she really were a rabbit. "You can't just ask that, no one can!" she exclaimed, her voice muffled behind her cupped hands. She looked around, making sure that no one else had heard him or her outburst before leaning in once more. "I'm sorry Mister Salty, but that is the one thing I can simply never help you with. The Tenryuubito don't accept request. They make demands and we Marines are here to enforce them." Straightening herself up a little, she took a step back, trying to regain her composure. "If there is anything else you'd like me to do, please feel free to request my service or that of anyone elses. Sir!" |

Figures... I had heard that the Gorosei were the ones one could negotiate with to some extent, and the Celestial Dragons were just their spoiled little brats, but I thought it was just a rumor. Will was too absorbed in thinking about what he would say to Augustus, so much so that he never gave a thought to how he would get inside the palanquin in the first place. This was quite the pickle indeed. Though it was quite amusing how the entire notion made the marine squirm with fear. He wondered if it wouldn't be too mean to play on the fears of someone who had quite so helpfully explained the situation to him. It would certainly be amusing, that's for sure. To hell with it... he thought, I can't possibly back down now, or else I'll kiss any possibility of meeting him goodbye, and I need to buy myself some time. When the Commander was finished with her speech, William had a completely bored expression on his face, but then it lightened up with curiosity. He leaned closer to the marine and said in a hushed voice of conspiracy: “Say, what would happen now if I just tried to walk inside the bubbles and that marble thing? Would the marines shoot me on sight? Figure they can keep me out if they did?” There, that ought to keep her talking while I think about what to do. he thought, maybe she'll even give me more useful information. For a moment there William was at a loss, he had no idea how to convince any marine to let him see a Celestial Dragon, not even Uncarayne or Eve. That was the case until the most crucial piece of information the female marine had given him rushed to the front of his mind. Celestial Dragons make demands, they don't accept requests. All I have to do is make the Celestial Dragon order them to get me inside. How to do that was not so tricky in the end. What was it about William that a spoiled brat would love to see up close? Was there really any such thing? Well, he was only your run of the mill everyday majestic mythical beast. “Alright, alright, I get it. My entire future as a merchant and a bounty hunter would kiss my ass goodbye if I walk those steps without being asked to. Although... I do remember you promising to do anything I ask as long as it's not talking to his Highness for me. I hope you're a woman of your word.” William immediately transformed into the full form of the Stymphalian Bird, shedding all his clothes, and weapons to the ground, but for a pair of vivid blue shorts, patterned with drawings of small yellow ducks in different interestingly bawdy, but entirely PJ-13, poses. He flicked his silver wings, taking off the ground and made to fly in a small circle around the female marine, before settling his beautiful body on her right shoulder with grace. “I'm just going to hang out here for a while. I hope you don't mind.” After a few moments, he asked: “By the way, you never actually told me your name.” Tech used

The Marine Commander opened her eyes up wide once again, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. This was almost as ridiculous as the words of that vainglorious lout, Rotschild. How could he possibly try and think that that would be a good idea? She began hurriedly telling him how if harm were to befall the Celestial Dragon an Admiral would have to called on from somewhere within the world, a trek which left most in a very foul mood. She also went on to state that her, alonside each and every one of the Marines, would have to keep him pre-occupied until the head of the military arrived to deal with him. Ending with a quick trip to Impel Down. As she finished her ravings, Commander Mars bent over a little, panting for breathes, her hands resting atop of her knees. Some of the other Marines gave her sideways glances as they passed by, believing her to be as eccentric as her bunny get-up. Once she was finished, she found that William's mind was elsewhere as he mentioned something else, referring to how she was at his service. He then then shifted forms, much to her shock. It wasn't the transformation that did it, but the shift itself, as she had never seen an animal quite like it before in her life. The air catching in her voice. The metallic bird swerved onto her shoulder and she could tell that he was satisfied with himself. Despite her many years within the Marine services, this would have been the first time she had seen a Mythical Zoan type, something which was incredibly rare within the world, she let out a small whistle. "Usually, I give my name to people," she began, worried about shifting her shoulders, she had never had a bird perched on it before. "But I guess I'll make an exception, my name is Commander Hazel Mars, pleased to meet you," she stated, almost going for a bow. Before she could continue on, gun fire began to echo all throughout the island, she was able to turn her body fast enough to find a bullet whizzing across her forehead, leaving a red line across it, strands of her blonde and green hair fell to the ground. To her shock, various members of the Marines were ripping off their faces, to reveal that they had been wearing masks composed of layers of make-up. Further down the island, she knew that the Celestial dragon would be requesting all Marines to fall back to his position and these men had their radios. "Well Will, looks as if now is the best time to show off your stuff. We need to find the leader of this group before they reach the Tenryuubito." |

William was a little disappointed. He had taken the marine to be someone who would be embarrassed to have a shiny bird on her shoulder, especially in front of the Celestial Dragon, but she actually whistled. If he were to be frank, that was actually flattering. Nevertheless, his evil goal of embarrassing her didn't work out, which annoyed him a little. Now that he thought about it, his first clue should have been her outfit. Someone dressed like that is not easily embarrassed. “I am pleased to meet you too, Commander Hazel.” He managed to say before hearing the first gun shot. A few of said bullets hit him right on the chest and wings, though his thick mane of metal feathers once again saved him from woulds he could do without. Several marines proceeded to remove skin masks from their faces right then, which - even in the prankster's opinion - was rather creepy. “I'll never understand the lengths to which pirates would go!” he said as he watched. The target of such a maneuver was obviously Augustus, since he was the only person on the island worthy of such tactics to get to. “I suppose you're right. Marines won't trust each other after seeing this.” In all honesty, after thinking about it, this was very clearly a great plan. In fact, if not for his presence on the island, it would have been the perfect plan. “Follow me as soon as you can, I'll remove the fodder, but I'll need your help identifying him among the stronger marines.” The doctor launched off into urgent flight, only sweeping to grab his sword belt before continuing towards the Dragon's palanquin. When he arrived there, flying above all the marines, confusion was overwhelming them. Still, if this leader was smart enough, he would be imitating the genuine marines rather than his fellow criminals. Or he could just not remove his own mask since a leader would typically be known to his subordinates regardless of disguise. It was also impossible by now to know all those who had masks on. There were too many possibilities, and Will could not eliminate any of them. He chose instead to give priority only to the life of the Tenryubito and the men who were carrying his marble room, given that they were still above suspicion for now. He elevated himself in the sky above the palanquin, and fired a rain of feathers aimed at everyone around it. He tried to aim at their legs and knees as best he could, and he excluded Commander Hazel of course. The aim of this maneuver was to obligate anyone strong around the perimeter to identify themselves by seeing through the average attack and blocking it, while still incapacitating anyone who isn't good enough to pose a threat in the first place. Injuring marines was a calculated risk in this case, and he also took the precaution of using feathers that won't wilt into quagmires for a long long while, so as not to risk sinking the Celestial Dragon. When Commander Hazel caught up, Will addressed her: “So? Who among those left standing isn't a marine?” Will didn't take his eyes off anyone even then. It was at these times that having eyes akin to that of a vulture paid off. It was rather difficult for him to miss anything when adopting this kind of point of view. Sword drawn from her green backpack, the bunny kenpo expert began hopping about, bring her sword down in wide slashes and arcs, utilising her speed and advantage within the air, all the while letting loose battle cries of, "Piyon!" She watched as the bounty hunter co captain flew up into the air and fired a volley of metallic feather out at the camouflagued pirates. She was sad to see her own allies falling at the hands of those who had infiltrated their ranks. Swooping down, she nodded towards Will as she began eyeing the crowds. "I'm sorry Mister Salty, but I can't tell who is who any more. These masks are too well done, there has got to be someone behind them. No way these guys are all masters at cosmetics!" she exclaimed, noting that she was unable to see the faces of those around her any more. "Mister Salty, we need to go this way to return to the Tenryuubito, otherwise he may be endangered," she mentioned, before turning and hopping away in a certain direction. As she reached the clearing that had been used as the area where the celestial dragon was being housed, she was shocked to see that there was a small group of half a dozen marines surrounding the marble room, around them were dozens of the disguised men and women, each taking turns jumping at the Marines. A cackle was heard throughout the group as someone from the outskirts began to buckle over. To Hazel's confusion, it appeared that it was the Tenryuubito himself? The sandy haired Augustus clapped him hands and pointed at the surrounding group again. "Remember boys, touch the bubble and we're all screwed! Agyuhuhuhuh!" |

Hazel didn't seem to know if any of the marines left were pirates. It made sense. William would have trouble remembering his crewmates too if they changed on every voyage. Hell, even until now there were several crew members that he hasn't worked with yet. “Yes, there is clearly someone behind them. Their target is obviously his highness, so we should go find him and protect him. I bet we'll find the leader there too.” It seemed like the marine was thinking the same, since she showed him directions to the celestial dragon right away. William followed her, still flying in the air. The scene they came upon was rather surprising. William thought he'd find the marines in a disorganized mess around the marble room, but soon it was clear that the real marines had managed to identify each other and stand fast against the approach of the intruders. “Your collegues seem to know who is who Hazel-chan~~” he said in a slightly mocking tone, before rushing towards the battlefield. There was someone who looked very annoying with the group of attackers. He seemed to be the one giving commands. “Hey look, that's probably the leader, seeing as he is giving orders and such.” he doctor would have normally attacked without hesitating, but the obvious look of confusion on Hazel's face gave William pause somehow. She knows this man... After a moment of thought, he figured that getting rid of some of the attackers before he could get some information on the leader would be best, so he proceeded with throwing a load of sharp feathers at the group of attackers, excluding their leader of course. After that, he turned to Hazel and said: "Is he an old aquaintance of yours or something? What do you know about this guy?" Tech Used
