Tam was pretty used to weird situations. She'd struck up a friendship with a murderous psycho, she'd drowned a half-man-half-pig, she'd even been bitten on the shoulder by a spider-woman. However, for as basic as it sounded, hanging upside-down from the ceiling by her feet was something new.

She wasn't alone in the huge warehouse, mind. There was a guy, in his late twenties maybe, with blonde hair and a beard to match. He was kinda skinny, but not in an unhealthy way. He stood with his back to Tam, his fingers meddling with three pistols sitting on the table - one steel, one silver, one titanium, all Tam's. They were like her kids, and it pissed her off to see him mucking about with them. Especially Silver Shot - that thing was dangerous. Like, explosive levels of dangerous.

She cleared her throat and tried to ignore the feeling of her blood rushing to her head. "So, is turning people who ring the doorbell into human chandeliers a local custom or something?" the man turned. He looked okay, she guessed - the kind of guy who'd be the suave bad guy in a manga or something. Clearly a bit too old for the eighteen year old Tam, though. When he spoke, his voice was baritone. "Look," he started, spreading his arms in an 'I'm totally innocent here' kind of way, "All this? Not really what I want to do with my time. It's annoying for both of us." Tam scoffed. "Oh, no, please, do keep me trussed up like meat in a butcher's."

In silence, he slowly walked across the room and grabbed a basic wooden chair, carrying it back towards the table with Tam's guns, placing it facing away from her, then sitting on it facing her, his legs spread around the back of it. If Tam didn't know better she'd have thought that he thought the sight of his crotch would get answers from her. "All I want to know is one thing. Just one little, teeny-tiny thing." Tam rolled her eyes. "Teeny-tiny things seem to be your speciality." she said with a snarky grin, her eyes pointedly at his groin. Not that she was an expert on the subject.

He scowled. "Just tell me why you're looking for Mistress Noire and I might let you go with all your bits intact." Tam raised (well, she was upside-down, so technically she lowered) her eyebrows. "Are you threatening what I think you're threatening?" he looked caught off guard. "I- no, I... I didn't mean..." Tam started laughing, allowing herself to regain her composure before actually returning to the topic at hand. "Anyway, what's got you all up-tight and formal about her? What, is she a syndicate boss now or something?" He looked slightly confused, but only for a moment as he gave a stock response of "I ask the questions, not you."

Tam rolled her eyes. "The whole nefarious villain shtick's been done to death, do something original already." He glared at her ash he stood up and walked towards her, pulling a small knife from his back pocket. "How about I cut off your lips and feed them to you? That original enough for you?" Tam did her best to not piss her pants, and solemnly shook her head. "I'm sure I've heard that before." he lowered the knife and spoke exasperatedly, "Well what is original then?"

Tam cooly replied. "Well, winning the big climactic battle and forcing a straight answer out would be pretty fresh." he looked confused again. "There won't be a battle, it's just two of us and you're hanging upside down." "Ah. Yeah, there is that..." she made a show of looking deep in thought. "Oh! I've got it! Let me down, then the battle can happen, you can be original, and you'll get your answers in a flashy way!" for a moment he looked like he was considering it, but then he shook his head. "Nice try. I'm not that dumb."

Tam sighed. "Oh, well. I guess the final battle'll happen soon anyway." He looked at her, interested. "Oh?" "Hmm. In fact, if my calculations are right, then it should start about... right about... now." Nothing happened. The guy looked from left to right. "Don't muck around with me, just answer the question." Tam was looking deep in thought again, and made a show of yet another revelation. "Oh! Carry the sev-... I totally forgot..." she mumbled under her breath. "What are you talking about?" "Oh, nothing. Just... I got the formula wrong. I meant... now."

One of the windows along the top of the warehouse smashed.

The cloaked assassin peered in before acting quickly to try and not miss the action, following the rock, which looked oddly like an animals bloodied kneecap or something, through the smashed window, diving into the warehouse and grabbing hold of a nearby chain with a hook on the end which was presumably for meat which she rather liked the idea of, and perhaps could find use for it later. However for now she used it to continue her momentum, swinging forwards towards the hanging person. She swung through the air as if she was some sort of super hero, and for the moment she was on the chain she felt like she was going to keep doing and destroy the place, yet she didn't. After a moment of air time she landed lightly on her feet, the click of her boots resounding around the building like some sort of bullet ricocheting. She smiled, it hadn't been long since she'd seen her friend, but this time hadn't been a pleasant one, after all time spent away from the girl was rather saddening to her, like her soul had been taken away on a holiday and she'd been left with house cleaning duties.

"I didn't know you liked to do that sort of thing"

She'd met someone once that liked to hang upside-down from trees and called himself a bat, so perhaps she was similar to that boy. Looking up at the rope that held her, she quickly raised her left leg and sliced downwards at the rope binding the girls hands together, knowing that cutting that would allow her to sort the rest of herself out. As the rope around her hands loosened and then fell to the floor, the woman's next mission began which was of course finding the guy that had done that to her and making a mess of him across the floor. Looking around she noticed that the chair had tipped over backwards, although a normal one would fall forwards, which probably meant one thing in particular, he'd fallen forwards and run off in that direction. So this meant he would be straight from where Tam had been hanging up. She paused, knowing she might as well help the girl completely as it meant that they'd both be able to go beat the guy up and have a good laugh or whatever. She turned back to the girl and got a rather nice surprise, which she couldn't help but comment on being who she was:

"Nice t-shirt. Normally I'd complain about the style but... Not so bad when I see it from this angle"

She made the shape of a picture with her fingers and stuck her tongue out to the side, looking at her for a moment before pretending to snap a picture. Of course she didn't stop there, and then acted out taking the picture out of the camera and waving it in the air to make it develop, and then acted out putting it in her pocket before blowing the girl a kiss and jumping up into the air and raising her leg once again, this time sweeping it across the rope and loosening it, allowing her to begin falling to the floor. Of course she could have kept her how she was for just a little longer but she had to at least be slightly polite, and so as she fell most likely to hit her head on the floor she moved forwards and caught her like some super dude in one of those bad lovey dovey books, before dumping her on the floor in the most elegant of ways. Now that she'd been sorted out, it was time to exact some revenge on the guy, although he wasn't escaping, she was pretty sure there was only one entrance apart from her man made one. She looked over at Tam to make sure she hadn't passed out or anything like that, she seemed rather good at that.

"I'm fine, thank you so much for asking."

Tam righted herself after her small fall, only partially thankful to Maggy's partial catch, and rushed to the table, holstering her guns but keeping the six-shot titanium monster of a gun, affectionately referred to as 'Big Momma' in her hand. She turned to Maggy. The cloak was new, but that could wait. She pointed around the line of crates her captor had hidden behind, mouthing "NO KILLING" to her, before going around the other way, heading towards the window Maggy had made her grand entrance through and turning to go behind the huge wall of crates that left an alley around two walls of the warehouse.

Then, right in front of her was the man she was looking for. He looked at her, a deer in the headlights. Then furry white ears erupted from his head and a tail swooshed out behind him, his hands and feet becoming clawed paws. He jumped at the wall of crates and started climbing. "Just once," Tam said, rolling her eyes, "I want an antagonist who doesn't work on a diet of magic fruit." She pointed her gun up, prepared for the knockback and pulled the trigger. Tam's arms flew upwards and a bullet flew into the right shoulder of the man, the force of the impact slamming him against the wall and sending him falling back to the ground, landing heavily. He started backing away from her, quickly.

Then, behind him was a silhouette. Perfect timing. "Grab him!"

Maggy had wasted no time in following Tam and watching her movement, before trying to shoot the man, although she wasn't quite sure if she'd made contact with it. She looked over his shoulder and noticed his shoulder was in fact bleeding rather heavily, which was a rather good shot on the girls behalf. She stood there and waited until he backed up enough into her legs, and then he turned to look at her, eyes wide as he stood up and wondered where to run, although she decided to leave him a little room and backed off for a moment. The cloak with blood on it was doing wonders, and as he hadn't seen her face or anything yet all he knew was that some evil thing was trying to kill him, which was rather cool to be honest. She'd never managed that sort of thing before, only having make a few people cry or whimper because they knew she was there to kill them. Enough of the past life now, she had to talk about what she had planned for him. She spun a little and he backed off a tiny bit, even if towards the one with the gun which could probably kill him without a worry. But... She couldn't resist and so she jeered at him:

"Never seen a ghoul before?!"

She laughed in the only way she could, with a cackle which could strike fear into the hearts of anyone that actually knew her. She then slowly moved towards the man, the robe hiding her rather well underneath its hood, the "blood" had a nice touch and was just adding to the guys fear. Whilst moving towards him he began to run at her as well, as if he could counter attack, which made her giggle. She was moving a lot faster than the guy though, meaning before he knew what was happening she'd already jumped into the air, using his outstretched leg from running to give her a boost, and also allowing her heel to scrape along his thigh at the same time. Whilst in mid air she did a flip just for good measure and with full strength kicked him right in his ugly face. Without turning she landed gracefully behind the man, crouching a little to break the fall and placing an arm out in front of her just in case. Standing up she flicked a bit of paint off of the cloak onto the floor and listened for him to fall to the floor in pain, before whipping the robe off and dropping it onto the floor.

"Seriously, this get up went to waste. I kind of expected more of them but whatever. His reaction was priceless!"

It was true, she hadn't seen a facial expression like his since the time she'd stabbed a guy where it hurts. Being the sadistic girl she was, it made her grin and she couldn't help but feel warm inside, like she was about to overflow and scream, although she knew she shouldn't scream, especially if they had to be more subtle about being there. There had been a mention earlier of something weird like intelligence mission, although it could have been that old guy she'd been listening too, he'd had loads of cool stories to tell. But enough of that. She spun on her heels and walked over to the man in pain, and crouched down at the base of his feet, before leaning forwards and placing her hand against the side of his cheek, like a mother might her daughter when talking to her with full emotions. What were these things known as emotions though? She couldn't help but laugh at that, and then delivered a sharp slap to the thug's face, leaving a nice red mark behind as a groan escaped his mouth. He had a lot of nerve abusing her lover like that! Speaking of which... She looked over to see what she was up to and noticed she stood there waiting.

There was a moment of silence which of course to Maggy meant finish him off, and she quickly moved in towards him, now in her usual attire having lost the cape and the extra blood. She placed a hand on his chest and decided to have a little fun, doing a one handed handstand and then pushing up off of him, to turn her body in mid air and land on his torso, sinking both heels straight into his chest and causing him to scream out in pain. It was a wonderful thing to take part in and she couldn't help but want to do it again, but he wasn't looking like he'd manage another round of Assassin Olympic Training, so instead she got off of his body and sat down next to him, giving him a bored look which could only say "entertain me". Unfortunately he wasn't really doing anything although he appeared to want to say something, which was most likely what Tam had been wanting from him. She sighed a little whilst sat crossed legged, running her finger over his wounds and pressing them hard occasionally to annoy him. Once she'd done that for a bit she brought her finger to her mouth and tested the blood, metallic like most people's, how boring.

"You're not entertaining at all..."

Tam's eyes widened. Why was she still being surprised by Maggy's acts of brutality? She rushed up beside the guy, putting her arm underneath his back and lifting him up a bit. He was most definitely dying. She looked to Maggy, "I said 'grab', not 'mutilate." she looked back to him. She wasn't exactly sad to see him go, but she'd try and get some answers from him while she could. "Where is Kelly Noire?" the man blinked, and gave a choked laugh. "K-Kelly... with a K... heh... heh heh... You have... my apologies... I made... a mistake..." and then he stopped breathing. Still confused, Tam closed his eyes.

Several minutes later, the pair were back on the Odyssey; a small but effective vessel that served as their home. It was dark, maybe nine o'clock, and Tam sat in a chair on the deck sipping from a bottle of cider as she mulled over the evening's events. They'd docked at what seemed to be the southernmost of the four big islands in Hitsuji Archipelago a few hours earlier, and Tam had wasted no time in trying to track down Kelly Noire - an old friend who had moved here a few years ago. Maggy and Tam had made a few house calls, until the owner of one house - the guy who Maggy had just killed - had his mates distract Maggy while he tranqued and ran off with Tam at the mention of Kelly's name. Now he was gone, he said he'd made a mistake.

Aloud, Tam thought, "Maybe his evil boss is a Nelly Noire or something." she took a swig from the bottle, looking up at the night sky. The new Sirens flag, kindly provided by Élise Au Juin of Ketsuraku Island, fluttered in the breeze at the top of the mask. Without moving her gaze, she addressed Maggy. "By the way, be quicker with your rescue next time. I had to ad-lib a whole bit because you didn't arrive on que."

Maggy had joined Tam on the boat, and had also swapped clothing. Now she wore a black summery dress reaching down to her knees with black leggings as well, and of course her black boots with sharpened heels, the only thing that didn't change when everything else did. On her head she wore a large white straw hat with a pink ribbon around it; her attire made it seem like the island was the warmest of places, when in actual fact - not so much. It wasn't that late, yet it was dark out so it probably wasn't near their summer, although the cool breeze along the ocean was probably something for her to consider. She sighed and kicked back on a chair nearby to her friend, her feet rested on a nearby table and her feet crossed. She was holding a bottle of wine in her hands which had been full before she'd decided to crack it open, and now it was almost empty. She had a thing for alcohol, and her immunity to getting drunk was most useful indeed, although one thing that bothered her was that in the past she'd wanted to get drunk and had been unable to. Oh well, she'd already found immunity to alcohol was brilliant, she could win any competition she entered!

"Pfft, I dunno, that sounds rather coincidental. He probably had too much wax in his ears or something. Don't let it bother you, it isn't our business..."

She grinned, it was cool to have a chat with Tam, especially as they could enjoy some drink together. She believed what she said though, whoever he'd got confused with that chances were this wouldn't be some epic foreshadowing or anything, it was simply just a mistake that in the end got him killed. He hadn't put up much of a fight though which still felt rather boring. Maggy shook the wine bottle a little and then noticed it felt rather light, and so took a little look inside, unable to see anything mostly due to the stained glass that the bottle was. Holding it upside-down she tried to empty more drink out, but all that fell was a single dark red drop which dripped onto her tongue. Holding it the wrong way up still she took another look inside and shook it again, noticing all too late that there was one more drop left, which proceeded to fall in her eye. She squirmed a little before standing up and throwing the bottle off the boat in anger, now stood at the railings of the boat. Flicking her hair out of her face a little she rubbed her eyes and then when she was sure she'd recovered she went back to her seat and pulled it up to sit in it.

"Hey it wasn't my fault! I thought you wanted to get as much information as you could out of him anyway..."

She paused before continuing:

"Plus disguises and stuff take time... It was great that I came across that robe and paint just "lying around" otherwise it would have taken ages to sort out that to scare him. That rock was cool though... I found an almost perfectly circular rock, which then I used to add the paint more realistically to the disguise, and then I could smash the window with it as to not hurt myself. It was perfectly planned out."

She tapped her finger in the air and smiled at the girl, knowing that she shouldn't have paused to smile at that painter as she run off with his equipment. Then it hit her, that cloak had probably fooled Tam too so she must have thought it was real blood and the rock could have been literally anything. Seriously, she wasn't that bad! On a completely irrelevant note, she wanted more alcohol, and she also felt a little like killing someone. The man earlier had been scared and she'd enjoyed that, but in the end his struggle had been very little and she'd gotten so little time to toy with him it almost hadn't been worth it. So something was needed to stop her being bored... Looking over at the gun wielding demon she wondered what she could be thinking. After having been in her room back on Gray Island and not having found any demonic runes, she had been convinced they were hidden somewhere else and so her love of the demonic creature continued to grow from that point. It was obvious she would be the creature that would destroy the world, and Maggy certainly wanted to be with her when it happened. She'd used to want to leave the world in a massive bloodbath, a final art and a beautiful scene, however now she just wanted to be the only one left, of course with her demon pal.

"Who's this Kelly person again?"

She could recall vaguely Tam mentioning her whilst on the island, however she'd not really paid so much attention. After all it was a new place to explore and it was rather interesting. She'd already searched all the shops she could find, and although the style there wasn't the best, she was rather enjoying the new dress she had, even if it was a little bit itchy. Nothing a few washes couldn't sort out. Looking over at the demon, she noticed where her gaze was, which was of course on the flag above them. It had been there since leaving Ketsuraku, as soon as she'd been released from hospital after breaking her leg. She sighed and looked down at the leg which was currently covered by the black legging. Her left hand then moved towards the small scar she had acquired at the same time, knowing that it was there to stay. No matter, it wasn't making her look bad or anything. She was still the most beautiful bounty hunter, heck the most beautiful being on the sea, close followed by her demon buddy who was still looking at the flag. She smiled at the girl even if she couldn't see and then leant against the captains quarters waiting for a reply.

Tam exhaled. She'd already explained to Maggy. Many times. Well, maybe this one would get it into her head. "Try to remember this time. We went to school together. We were both weird, so we kinda teamed up. She moved away to one of these islands two years ago." She breathed in the cool night air and took another swig from the bottle. Kelly had been weird, all right - with her dyed hair, piercings and tattoos she really stood out. If you didn't know her, you'd think she was a drug addict or something.

Tam climbed out of her chair and straightened out her T-shirt - a nifty thing picked out by Élise, bright purple with a roll of gaffer tape and a can of WD-40 drawn on, captioned 'THE SOLUTION TO ALL WORLDLY PROBLEMS'. A pretty accurate representation of Tam's ability to give social advice. She moved past Maggy and down the gangplank. "I'm gonna see if I can find her, tag along if you like."

They'd covered maybe two streets earlier, asking around for her, and so Tam had to walk a little way before finding herself in unknown territory. She walked up to the first new house she came to that had the lights on and knocked. A few moments later, it opened. Inside was a girl, around Tam's age, wearing a bathrobe and with a toothbrush in her mouth. There was a tattoo of a small cobweb on her left cheek. Her eyes went from Tam's shirt, to her face, then the half-finished cider bottle in her hand, then back to her face. "Wha hue wan?" she asked with her mouth still full of toothbrush. "Uh, sorry for calling so late, but I'm looking for someone called Kelly Noire, do you know if she lives around here?" the girl nodded, "Wha, li, the taoo arist?" Tattoo artist sounded like the kind of thing Kelly would do, so Tam nodded hopefully. The girl took out the toothbrush and pointed past Tam. "Three streets over. There's a big sign, can't miss it. Now piss off." she slammed the door.

Maggy knew that following Tam would be the best plan, after all she'd explored the island a little earlier in a quick run and so she didn't really have that much to do if she didn't join the girl, although it might have been fun to cause a little bit of mayhap in town when nobody was looking, especially as it was dark out. But she knew that meeting this woman was probably best as it meant that she could get a good judge on her and make sure she didn't try and take her beloved away, no matter how one sided the relationship was at this moment in time - She would work on it. Jumping off the ship, ignoring the gangplank that was meant to be used to get off the ship, she followed the girl towards the town they were at, hoping that it wouldn't take too long, she felt like doing something that wasn't as boring as searching a town for random people that one of them used to know, and anyway if they were finding old friends then she wouldn't have minded going to find the person that destroyed her home, or even the bar she'd competed in as a young woman to gain some money, by winning every drinking contest there. Not that she wasn't young now that was.

Following the demonic woman, Maggy kept an eye out in case somebody walked past that could have been who Tam was looking for, but after realising it was a little too late for people to be strolling around she simply kept an eye out for interesting things, perhaps an odd park bench or something like that, or somewhere to go and get something to eat the next day, suddenly rather wanting some sort of odd food that she didn't have very often. It was rather difficult to keep her eyes out in the dark though even with dim light coming from the occasional house. Eventually they arrived at a house, where they were greeted by someone with a weird pipe in her mouth and a bathrobe on. She didn't seem the best with it as she couldn't quite talk when using it, and eventually had to take it out her mouth to talk properly. It didn't look all that much like a pipe any more, more like a tooth brush or something, which was a shame as she'd hoped that the people of the town would all act cool like that, although having not spotted anyone else around like that it wasn't too surprising that she wasn't so cool.

"Three streets... Tattoo's... Easy"

She decided to up her speed a little, as although it was rather romantic taking a walk with her friend in the dark, with a slight breeze brushing against them creating a rather cool heat, she still wanted to find this woman and learn all she could about her. All she knew right now was it was a weird woman with an education similar to Tam's and most likely tattoo's. With a similar education, perhaps a similar personality came along with it, especially as she'd said about similarities? Or maybe they were both demons! Her eyes widened as she realised that this Kelly was most likely tattooing people with demonic runes which would increase their strength and change their personality. For example that woman back there had a cobweb on her face which meant that her strength might have been awoken like the woman on the last island that she'd blown up. There could have been a link, although it was rather hard to figure out and so for now she decided it was best not to question it. As she walked she decided that they had reached the top of the third street or whatever, and so she began to walk down it.

As they walked it didn't take her long to realise which shop it was, as there was a sign hanging above it with the word tattoo's written there which most likely made it the place. Walking up to the shop it seemed rather fancy and well kept, which was a lot different to Tam's bar back on Gray Island, which had been falling apart and didn't have much business. Still they had another similarity in the fact they owned a business. Walking up to the door she noticed the windows had pictures in them which she looked at, wondering if perhaps it would be a good idea to get one herself as it could make her look cooler, and she'd never had any problem with editing her body to remember things. Of course she could just make herself a temporary one with some crayons and pens, but that wasn't as much fun. All she knew is that she'd look good with or without one, unless they went over board, in which case you wouldn't even be able to tell it was her, but she doubted even then that she couldn't be seen as good looking. She grinned, and knowing that they both needed to go in, she knocked on the door, and after a moment the door opened.

The woman who opened the door was slightly scary looking at first glance - her eyes were rimmed by thick eyeshadow, giving them a sunken look, and her short, jet black hair was gelled up into a dyed blue mokihan in the middle, that flopped lazily in front of her face. Piercings covered her face - rings in her left nostril and earlobe linked by a chain, rings in the corners of her mouth and numerous studs along the edge of her right ear. She was slightly shorter than Tam, with a fairly stocky build without being overweight, and tits that definitely qualified as large. Ds, if Tam remembered right, but they looked bigger than Tam remembered. She was wearing tight black drousers and a cropped tank top, that revealed the orange phoenix tattoo across her breastbones, the nipple-less mermaid coiled around her bellybutton and the tribal tattoos running down her arms and waist. A choker covered in keyrings sat around her neck and a spiked bracelet adorned her left wrist. Her feet were bare.

She was looking to Maggy, who had knocked and was standing closer. "Sorry, girl, but we're closed right now." Tam cleared her throat, and the woman turned to her. Her eyes widened (which looked weird behind all the makeup) and she threw herself at Tam, providing a bear hug and a peck on the lips. Tam was, of course, fazed by the unexpected course of events, and stood stiff as a board before loosening up and gently hugging back. "Fuck, Tam, how long's it been?" Tam smirked and gently pushed her off. "Two years, Kel. I take it you missed me?" Kelly nodded. "Hell yeah."

There was a pause, in which Kelly's eyes drifted to her bosom. "You've grown. What size tits you rockin' these days?" Tam reddened slightly, but answered. "Cs." "Cs?!" Kelly pulled on the collar of Tam's shirt and peered down her top. "Oooh, braless, I approve." Tam's blush deepened. "I'd say those look like Ds, though. Might want to measure them up again."

There was movement in the hall behind Kelly. A Japanese looking woman moved over to a box in the corner and started rummaging, but what drew attention was the fact that she was wearing nothing other than a pair of frilly white panties. Kelly saw that Tam was looking past her and turned. "Hey! Ryoko, we've got guests!" 'Ryoko' turned like a deer in the headlights, her gargantuan jugs flopping around on her chest. She saw them, reddened, yelped, wrapped her arms over her nipples and ran off to the left.

"Adorable, isn't she?" she turned back around and seemed to just remember Maggy's presence. "Oh, fuck, sorry, I'm being rude." She stuck her hand out to shake. "Call me Kelly."

The woman in front of Maggy was an odd looking one, with a mix of piercings and tattoos to hide a large amount of normal skin on the body. She hadn’t expected much else from someone who worked at such a place, and it certainly brightened her up a little bit. It was someone who she could see as being attractive, and she wasn’t leaving much of her body to the imagination, with the rather small top. However her legs were a little bit more covered which was rather nice in all honesty.

The meeting of the two girls was rather interesting as well, with the hug and kiss which Maggy herself hadn’t had. She kept in mind to try that some time, she was sure she’d be able to get away with it now that she’d seen someone else manage that although she wasn’t quite sure if it’d get past the girls radar, or if she would stop her. It was unlikely, after all she was awesome and this Kelly couldn’t mean more than she did surely?

She wasn’t really listening to the comments following that, instead looking inside the building rather intrigued. After all, she’d already gone through all Tam’s clothing and learnt everything she could on that respect. This Kelly was merely an amateur in comparison to the great Magdalene Dark when it came to knowing things about the demons body. She grinned at the thought of it being a competition and then remembered something.

The tattoos on the body of Kelly seemed odd, a little bit different to your normal ones, as if they were meant to be doing something. Perhaps they were the runes which she’d been thinking of, which enhanced her powers as a demon, or even held them in as to not damage things. Of course her power couldn’t rival Tam’s, hers was better than any other type of demon for sure. Still… She could imagine a few pictures on the youthful girl’s body, becoming clearer in the midst of combat when she was soaked in blood. She’d only really gotten to see that once and it was back on Gray Island, and she’d most certainly been holding back.

As she looked about she noticed a rather odd looking woman, who proceeded to scamper away when attention turned to her. It was an odd thing, but Maggy decided not to question it, weirder things had happened and they knew nothing about Kelly anyway, so she could have been hiding many people in her home, perhaps she was a hostel owner or something like that.

“Kelly. Sure, I’m Magdalene Dark! Call my Maggy. I’ve been travelling with Tam since Gray Island.”

She grinned, they’d had a few adventures since then but she was fully aware that she shouldn’t be the one explaining their time, it should have been Tam doing that as she was her friend. She was being rather enthusiastic, it seemed they shared a common interest in the demon girl prodigy and so of course they would get along well. Plus she wasn’t half bad looking, and in all honesty although you couldn’t see loads of her skin, it kind of fitted her the look she had. It brightened her up, especially as she had darker hair so unless she wanted a darker look she could stick with that. Personally she preferred a darker theme as it meant she wasn’t as easy to see at night. She then heard Kelly whistle and she began to speak:

"Well, you've found yourself a worthy new girlfriend, by the looks, Tam.”

She paused before continuing:

“What am I doing? Come on, get your asses inside."

Maggy couldn’t help but enjoy that. Of course she was worthy, she was the most worthy of all the people of the seas. She would let Tam admit her undying love for her before she commented on that though, as it would be a lot more dramatic if it was coming from her mouth. Of course usually the assassin made the first move, so it would be good to have her confessing first. She accepted the second offering though, and cautiously walked inside. Even in a friend’s house you had to be careful of traps in case they were trying to keep you on your toes and stuff.

Looking about it certainly did look like the typical place you’d have paint stabbed into your skin. There were a few plastic chairs, nothing fancy but they could most likely be sat on without giving you a pain, unless you had to wait for ages in which case it could begin to get kind of uncomfortable. She looked further along and noticed a chair which looked like it could be flattened into a bed like thing so that you could have tattoo’s done on areas you couldn’t get to whilst sat on a chair normally such as a back. She didn’t know what she felt about that in all honesty, because although pain didn’t bother her she could imagine it being rather annoying and she’d probably just leave half way through the process anyway.

Kelly led them into the building where there were boxes piled up and a few sketches thrown over the place. She stopped walking and the two passed her as she crouched, picking up a rather intriguing piece of paper with a sketch on and inspecting it. It looked rather interesting, yet basic. She kind of liked it, and kept it in mind if she were to ever get anything like that done. It didn’t cover much of the skin and yet it still had a decent effect on what you saw.

Getting up Maggy followed the others into what seemed to be the lounge area, seeing the woman from earlier now in a grey baggy jumper. She seemed to be standing away from people as if a little shy, but might have been trying to get close too, she couldn’t tell. She decided she’d walk over to Tam and join in the conversation a little bit, she was always interested by demons and mythology and so it’d be a great time to learn more.

"Um, no, we're not... she's not..." but Kelly had already walked further into the building with Maggy in tow. Tam rolled her eyes and followed. Kelly had a knack for that kind of conversation. She followed the other two through the front room, which seemed to be the tattoo parlour section of the building, through two bead curtains and into a room decorated more like a living space, with work surfaces in one corner cordoning off a kitchen looking area, and stairs in the other leading to a second floor. Most of the remaining space was occupied by a coffee table surrounded on three sides by armchairs and a sofa.

Sitting down on said couch was the japanese girl from earlier, her exaggerated figure hidden behind a woollen turtleneck jumper that looked several sizes too big. On her pretty face sat a pair of rounded spectacles, and her jet black hair was short, with a purple streak down the left hand side. She was blushing deeply, avoiding eye contact.

Kelly walked over to her and slapped her hand down on her shoulder. "Right, right introductions. We all know me, Kelly Noire. That over there is Maggy Dark, and over there we have Tam Hilaris." a very slight gasp from the japanese girl told Tam that Kelly had told her some stories. She prayed she'd kept it clean. "And finally, we have my girlfriend, Natsukawa Ryoko."

Oh. That was all Tam could think. She hadn't expected Kelly to have a girlfriend, but she decided to play it calm, and be friendly to Natsukawa. Or... was it Ryoko? Japan had names the other way around, right? But you're meant to use the last name unless you're close with them. Then there was the honorific... "Natsukawa-san?" Tam tried. When she got a reply, it was quiet, unconfident. "R-Ryoko's fine. Uh..."

Tam's heart slightly melted. So cute... kawaii? She could see what had drawn Kelly in, Tam had been like that once upon a time, before the spiky-haired rebel girl had messed up her brain. Of course, there was also the fact that Kelly was very much a breast woman. Tam made a slow approach and stuck out her hand to shake. "Ryoko, then. Like she said, I'm Tam." Ryoko hesitantly reached out and gave a weak handshake. "She hasn't told you any stupid stories about me, has she?" Ryoko frantically shook her head. Kelly gave a small laugh, jumping onto one of the chairs. Tam took a seat next to Ryoko on the sofa.

"So, you two doing a bounty hunting thing then? 'Sirens Clear the Spider's Web'." she gestured a line in the air as she said the headline. Tam knew it; she'd seen that paper. She shrugged. "A bit." Kelly stared at her. "A bit? Tam, you're each one of the most notorious bounty hunters in the Blues, and I live on an island of bounty hunters. I'm freaking proud of you." Tam grinned. "Thanks, Kel, it feels great to impress the punk tattoo artist." Kelly laughed, then turned to Maggy. "So, what's your story? What possessed you to think that following my old best friend-slash-protege into certain death by pirates was a good idea?"

Maggy calmed herself down a little, if these two were together then no moves would be made on Tam. Despite the previous actions they had all been merely friendly, which meant if she saw things like that as friendly then more… Strong actions would need to be taken to take the heart of the girl she loved. She grinned though, she could at least sleep easy knowing that she was all hers.

“Hi Ryoko. I won’t remember your name probably”

At least she was honest. It was true though, she wouldn’t remember the woman, she didn’t feel like she’d be playing much of a role over the next few days and so the name would drift to the back of her head. It didn’t bother her though, but she felt like she’d need to tell her so that she didn’t go all kung fu on her or something. She patted down dress and then looked over at Tam again who seemed to be enjoying her conversation with this woman.

Kelly then moved the conversation on a little bit and commented on the fact they’d done a little bounty hunting in the form of spider hunting. It had been a rather entertaining adventure they’d had. After Tam had tried to shrug it off she found a disapproving comment, and something unexpected was said. Were they really one of the most notorious in the blues? That meant that pirates would fear their names… And… Wouldn’t that mean more people knew of her beauty now? She smirked, having not realised that people would know her name.

Then Kelly asked Maggy about why she decided to go along with Tam. Now that she had her moment of awesomeness, she didn’t know what to say. She knew why she went along with the woman but she couldn’t just blurt that sort of thing out, that would have to be done over a romantic dinner or something like that, or on a pier below the moon. So now she needed to respond correctly and properly:

“I needed the money”

She paused and then realised she’d need to continue to explain that.

“I went to her bar, and some guy attacked me or something… And then he was a pirate, and so… Then we got into a fight with a pirate crew and won and then we kinda just started sailing together. Nothing special, but she’s an awesome person with a good eye for… Shooting things. So, of course I’d follow someone like her!”

She grinned ear to ear, getting to boast about how awesome her partner was. She didn’t get to do it often. She did wonder if Tam was asked what she would say, but soon realised it could only be good things. There weren’t any bad things about her after all. She walked over towards one of the empty seats and dropped herself into it before pulling down her dress a little in case it was a little high. She then placed her hands on each arm of the chair and crossed her legs, thinking that there was something else to add.

“You should see her when she shots those things. I haven’t seen her miss yet!”

She hadn’t exactly seen her shoot the weapon much but… That wasn’t the point. The times she’d watched her shoot she’d hit her target and done a pretty good amount of damage too. She considered the mechanics of guns, but then realised it was way too complex for her and she didn’t even care. They went boom and people died, that was all she needed to know. She preferred the art of martial combat, using her kicks and even her heels to make short work of her enemies. It was enjoyable, taking down people and making them bleed and it made her happy. She’d enjoyed herself earlier but it wasn’t nearly enough to sate her want of blood.

“You do tattoo’s… How’d you get into that business?”

May as well make a little small talk with the woman, after all she was Tam’s friend and so she needed to be polite to her, at least until she could do something else apart from sit around talking. She always enjoyed a little gossip, but when she had to sit around waiting for people to do things, and in such a slow environment it just felt a little dull. She smiled a little at each of them and then wondered if she should get out a drink that she had in storage, waiting to be drunk. She could have drunk it right there and then, but perhaps she needed to save it for a date, so instead she’d simply wait to be offered a drink or something.

Maggy was thinking about what she’d been asked earlier. Why had she been going along with Tam? It was obvious of course, but was there anything else? She loved the demon to pieces, and wanted to see the end, but perhaps she had started her journey with her merely for money and for something to do. Before that point she’d been rather bored, and had simply been waiting for the next bloodbath she got to join or create. Nowadays she was being restricted due to what her heart said, yet she knew the heart was a fragile thing. She’d removed enough from people’s bodies to know that one day they could simply go squish.

“Hmm…”

She kept thinking for a while before deciding it was best to stop thinking about it, after all she was going to stick with the demon until the end. She had no reason to leave her, and she wanted to see the end of the world real bad. She fidgeted a little and moved her hands around each other, every now and then swapping what leg was on top of the other whilst crossed. Something had suddenly came to mind but she really didn’t know what it was or what to do with it, it was merely information moving around her mind. She wasn’t quite sure what had happened but she got the feeling something in her mind had just come back to her, like a past memory, and she was rather confused all of a sudden.

"I haven’t seen her miss yet!” Kelly rolled her eyes. "Oh, you should have seen how much money I lost by playing her at fucking darts... I swear, she's like a fucking hawk." Tam cleared her throat. "Right here, Kel." Kelly laughed. There was a short pause, which Maggy broke. “You do tattoo’s… How’d you get into that business?”

Kelly shrugged in answer. "No one'd hire me, so I had to go solo. Always had a knack for drawing, so I just picked this." she lifted her top slightly and hefted her right breast, underneath which was a simple black line drawing of two feathers, one larger than the other, tied together with beaded string. Despite the lack of colour, it was very detailed. "This was my first tattoo. Drew it myself when I was..." she looked at Tam "Eight? Yeah, eight." She allowed her jug to drop.

Tam looked to Ryoko. She was sitting quietly, noticeably sitting as far away from Tam on the sofa as she could, closed body language showing she was trying not to be noticed. Tam couldn't help to want to know her a bit, though. "So, Ryoko... what do you do?" She started, like a deer in the headlights, like she hadn't expected to be talked to. "Oh, u-um... I... uh... I..." she swallowed. "I... make c-clothes, um, a little bit." Her interest piqued, Tam pressed further. "Clothes? What kind?" "U-uh, w-well, I... uh... a-anything, really..." Kelly pointed to her top and Ryoko's jumper. "She made both of these. Amazing, aren't they?" Ryoko blushed, "They a-aren't... that good..." Tam raised her eyebrows. "Are you joking? They're great! Better than half the crap I have."

Ryoko's blush deepened. Tam looked at Maggy, who was looking... dazed. Thoughtful, maybe. It was strange to see, usually Maggy just did without thinking. Kelly noticed the shift in attention and got up, walking over to Maggy, leaning in towards her. There was a short pause, then Kelly's hands went to Maggy's chest. "Hmm... let's see... I'm guessing... Bs, maybe Cs. Am I right?" Tam recoiled a bit. "Kel!" "Oh, it's fine, she doesn't mind." She locked eyes with Maggy. "Do you? Sorry, it's a thing. When I meet someone, I want to know name, age, cup size, it's how I roll. Speaking of which, how old are you?"

Maggy could hear the general speech about Tam in the background but she was too busy thinking. She’d just remembered something important from her past, and she was beginning to understand it. She allowed her mind to focus a little bit more, blanking out things around her for a moment before realising what it was. She was fully aware that her past included her parents who had lied to her about being immortal, and so that had sort of changed her quite a lot. She’d been depressed back then, but she’d learnt she was being stupid, and that it wasn’t the way to go about things. She then realised what exactly it was, a memory of a basement in her house before it burnt down. Why would that bother her? Was there something she needed to know about her home? She wondered about it for a moment before being brought back into the world by Kelly getting very close.

“Hm? Wouldn’t you like to know?”

She grinned before moving the woman away from her a little, focusing on the second question. Age hey? She pondered that, she wasn’t quite sure what exactly her age was but she could vaguely recall a twentieth birthday. She wondered whether or not it would be best to tell her, but who cared?

“I’m in my twenties”

She smirked, fully aware she could keep it inside if she did manage to work it out. She knew that before they went anywhere else after this island she’d need to go back home, otherwise that would bug her. Chances were whatever was down there was gone, but at the same time she had a slight theory that it could have been covered by the rubble of her house, so maybe there was a chance it hadn’t been looted. She sighed a little and looked up at the tattoo artist still stood above her.

“What I want to know is... Do you know anyone that would want to string up Tam and question her about things? Some shifty guy seemed rather interested in you”

She was of course referring to the man that she’d killed earlier with the help of Tam. He had seemed the shifty type and hadn’t been linked to this woman most likely. She certainly did wonder about the man, but at the same time it was mostly just her asking for the sake of her friend who hadn’t asked anything about it just yet. With that thought in mind she slumped in the chair, now not bothered by the thing on her mind from before. She’d thought of it then and so now she simply had to follow the instructions in her head. Right now she couldn’t though so she’d simply keep it in mind.

Looking over at the other weird woman she wondered about the clothes she apparently made. They didn’t look half bad, and she was quite tempted to ask for some, the main problem being was that she didn’t know if the style she wanted would be able to be made. She had a plan for a sort of t-shirt with sleeves, but the sleeves were short and around her neck there was no fabric at all, making it look almost like the sleeves weren’t attached to the top. She liked it, and if it fit well then she’d be able to move freely like in her usual assassin kit. She had a few other ideas but right now she didn’t want to push it so she’d ask if that sort of thing was possible before they went to her home island. She could always return and pick them up if she were to get them.

“There’s a warehouse place around town, know anything about it?”

She wasn’t there to chat idly, she wanted to learn a few things as to prevent herself getting bored. Of course she should have been polite and humoured her host, especially someone as forward as her, but she wanted to know nonetheless. The guy had been rather rude so she wanted a little bit of revenge for Tam, as killing him hadn’t quite been enough in her opinion. She wanted to kill the dude’s boss of course, and then she’d be happy. There had been some confusion about the name but she doubted that it could have been as easy as had been previously stated. Nobody would make a mistake like that, although she guessed anything was possible in the world of animal-people hybrid. Although thinking about it some things weren’t so questionable, such as her being the most beautiful in all the world. Feeling proud she continued:

“Because we had a little bit of trouble in there earlier, some dude picking a fight with the wrong people”

She looked cautiously down at her own heels, realising there was still a little blood on them, although she hadn’t trodden any into the carpet thankfully. She slipped her boots off quickly and picked them up, pulling out a tissue from a pocket in her dress (finally some clothing with actual pockets in) and began wiping her shoes down carefully to make sure not to miss any. Most of it was completely dried to she had to occasionally wet the tissue with a bit of saliva, but she eventually managed to clean them, and so quickly stuffed the tissue back in her pocket and put the shoes on the floor. She then slipped her feet into the boots and did up the sides, making sure they were nice and snug. Once she was sure they were she moved her feet about a little and then crossed her legs.

“Sorry. Yeah I’m listening”

She was being oddly polite, but perhaps it had something to do with Tam being so close to her back in the day. She was like a father perhaps to the girl, and maybe she could get her permission to marry. Yes that was it, she felt Kelly was her carer and so wanted to impress her so that she’d get the permission to become Dark’s together. Or Hilaris’, although Tam Dark sounded a load better in her opinion.

“I’m in my twenties.” Kelly pouted. "Aw, come on! That's ten ages you could be!" Maggy, of course, didn't bother going into more detail and instead changed straight to a serious topic. Enough small talk, eh? Kelly looked on with a vested interest as Maggy explained. "Why did he go after you? Was he just a regular perv?" Tam, praying that Kelly wouldn't notice Maggy wiping the blood from her shoes, went into detail. "It's nothing to worry about, really, just when I was asking around for you earlier one guy distracted Maggy when he heard your name, knocked me out and tied me upside down in a warehouse." Kelly nodded. "Bondage. Indelicate, but I approve."

Tam rolled her eyes. "Randy bugger. Is there a fetish you don't have?" Kelly thought for a moment. "Furry-ism. Definitely not a furry." Tam leapt at the chance to get back on topic. "Speaking of which, this guy'd eaten a Zoan devil's fruit." Now Kelly sounded really interested. "Oooh, which one?" "Uh... well, he had white ears, paws and a tail, so I'm guessing... persian cat?" Kelly paused. "Did he say much?" Tam nodded. "Yup, something about Mistress Noire, and when we, uh... dispatched him, and I asked where you were, he was like 'Oh, Kelly with a K, muahaha, I made a mistake', and then dropped dead. Yup."

Kelly thought for a moment, and a small smile began to play at her lips. "Interesting... tell ya what, why don't you rest up? You've got a place to stay, right?" Tam nodded. "We brought home with us, a boat." "Great, great. Meet me at the Pirate's Bounty Inn at twelve tomorrow." she stood up, and Tam raised her eyebrow. "You kicking us out?" A wry smile came her way. "So glad you noticed. Come on, you'll love the little surprise I'm cooking up, I guarantee it, but I need some time, plus you'll need to be properly awake." Tam shrugged, "Alrighty." She stood and moved towards the bead curtain, hoping Maggy would follow. She turned back to the two girls on the sofa. "See ya later, alligator." Kelly grinned. "In a while, crocodile."

A few minutes later, Tam was back on the boat, taking swigs from a fresh bottle of alcohol, this time a good old fashioned beer. "So," she said in a clear voice, addressing Maggy whether she could hear or not, "That was Kelly Noire. What'd you think of her?"
