Your best nightmare.

The cactus-shaped mountains of the island were the first thing that came into view on the horizon. It looked like nothing more than a little plant if one wasn't really paying attention, but when you realized the distance that lay between you and the tiny cactus, and the fact that those little white fluffs that seemed to be stuck to the plant were actually clouds, you realized what you were looking at was actually quite massive. Indeed, the mountains loomed over the small cargo ship that now docked at the port of Velvet Tip. As the sailors tied off to the dock and set the gangplank, going about their usual routine, a man walked out onto the deck. The man wasn't part of the crew, clearly, as he simply walked to the gangplank and exited the ship without getting involved in any of the actual labor taking place. His appearance also didn't seem to match that of your average sailor. He wore a set of dark pants and boots. His torso was covered by a black jacket with a hood which was completely open at the front exposing the man's lightly tanned chest. A set of white belts hung from his waist and across his back, an odd, dark, triangular object hung from his shoulders to the backs of his knees.

The odd stranger walked down the dock, gazing up at the huge cactus-mountain looming above. It was actually slightly disconcerting, looking at the unnatural shape of the landmass. The "leaves" that branched out from the main bodies seemed like they could very easily break free and come crashing down the mountainside, crushing any villages in their path. But, the village of Velvet Tip still stood, so that was at least slightly reassuring. However, as the stranger made his way into town, he quickly realized that 'standing' was a rather gracious term for the status of the town as it was currently. He walked by many abandoned structures as he made his way through the streets. Buildings that looked as though they might come crashing to the ground in a strong breeze. And if the outskirts were in shambles, the interior of the village didn't seem to be in much better shape, though it appeared that a large rebuilding effort was under way. It was almost as though some natural disaster had swept through the town, and being from Grand Line, the stranger knew that such natural disasters were not uncommon. However, being that the stranger was from Grand Line, he also knew that sometimes scenes like this were caused by not-so-natural disasters, and he was curious what might have caused such wanton destruction to this seemingly unimportant village.

The stranger turned off the road and walked up the steps of a tavern (the only one he had seen that looked structurally sturdy enough to support a living person). As the stranger walked through the swinging gates of the main entrance the sun glinted off of his golden-blonde hair, sending a glare across the almost empty saloon he found within. A few weary workers sat in one corner (construction workers the stranger could only assume) and a sailor sat a long ways down the bar, drinking something that the stranger was sure offered a high alcohol content. Making his way to the bar, the stranger sat and tapped his finger twice on the bar top. When the bartender arrived, the man nodded in greeting. Good day to you. My name's Wave. I just sailed in. I was hoping I might find a room I could rent for the night, a refreshing beverage, a hot meal, and maybe some good conversation. Looking at the state of this town... I might have set my hopes a little high. Got anything you can offer me? Wave wasn't one to shy away from throwing his name around and letting people know who he was. But he figured on this island, there was little point in trying to make a name for himself, so he kept his last name out of it.

The bartender scoffed slightly as he spat in a dirty glass. Holding the dirty glass in his hand, he pulled out an equally dirty rag from his hind pocket and began cleaning the glass. "G'day boy, you're traveling folk huh? I'd hope you aren't too starved from your trip, or without some hefty cash. YA' see Cactus has never been a place for good ol' traveling folk. Look 'round and that'd be enough to show you how bad it is now. Hasn't been the same for some time now. First it was Leander, now we got these Beast Blood fellows." The bartender sighed, leaning his back against the counter, he would again spit into the glass and attempt to clean it. "Most places around here had given up their food reserves to help with the down trotted folk. My living situations here aren't the best, but if you throw me something reasonable I can getcha yer room just fine." Placing the glass down, he slid it across the table towards Wave. "So what'll it be, Wave? You lookin' to get loose or to forget some previous issues?" The bartender stood up and began to glance at his beverages on the wall. Most of what he had seemed nearly done. Possibly only a few shots left in the majority of the bottles.

Wave sat for a moment, considering the man's offers. It seemed he had been correct about the state of things in this village. I mean hell... That had been pretty obvious before the bartender had confirmed his suspicions. Something bad had happened to this village. Damn straight, glad that was settled. Wave was happy to hear the man throw out those names. Leander, the Beast Bloods. This was information that definitely piqued Wave's interest. He had been around Grand Line all his life, he had seen famous pirates come and go through the newspapers and stories of travelers. Unfortunately since he had started traveling he had kind of fallen out of touch with the world as it currently stood. He had actually been traveling backwards through the Grand Line to reach the starting point of one of the primary routes that led through the Line, so he had been moving opposite the flow of information. He wanted more information from this man, and he figured the best way to get it would be to grease the wheels a bit.

Wave glanced up at the wall of liquor behind the bartender. It seemed to him that there were many bottles up there nearing the empty point, and he thought that he even saw a couple that were already empty. The guy must have wanted to keep up appearances. I'll have a rum. Rocks if you've got em. And if you can scrape a meal together, I'll buy it from you. Don't much care what it is. I'll take that room too. Can't say how long I'll be staying. Probably gone tomorrow if I can book passage on a ship heading to the next island. Not that this island isn't wonderful. Just got things to do. Wave pulled out a stack of beli to make sure he held the man's attention. He rolled several bills in his hand and slid them into the jar on the counter that said "Tips" though the jar seemed to have the air of an optimistic joke around here.

So tell me barkeep. You were talking about the trouble this island has seen. Something about Leander and Beast Blood. What's all that about? I've been at sea for a while now, trying to get here so I could travel the route. Spending days at sea with just a few stops at uninhabited islands or small fishing villages off the main routes... I've really lost touch with what is going on in the world.

Having caught the attention of the young man, the bartender would nod off and fill the order. Turning to the wall he ran his finger across the stained oak wall case, there were fine label that had been notched into the wood his finger crossed. He seemed to be finding the proper rum for the mood, and the man. "Let us see..." He pondered his choice before pulling out a fairly old appearing bottle. The bottle was indeed rum, but it looked like it had seen better years. The bottle was a deep green color, but the amount of dust would make it look as though it were primarily grey. The dark liquid within would only barely visible if focusing on the bottle. Blowing upon the bottle he revealed a crest that sat upon the glass. A scorpion fighting a snake. "This rum is pure poison. Now, Leander, that man is a disaster. Like the forces of nature he seems to blow across this island and raise hell whenever he sees fit. Twice he has come here, and twice he has shaken the mostly calm land of Cactus. I've never personally seen the man, but he is famed for being a powerful Logia user. Rumors say he is associated with big names across the grand line. But for his actions here, he is mostly despised. The countless murders and atrocities he's committed here have left the already destitute even more so; already short lives were cut even before they realized they was a life to live." At this point ha had placed the bottle upon the table and begun pouring. In the rear of the bar a few voices could be heard grumbling Leander's name in hate.

"The Beast Blood group is one I do not know much about, they were a fairly recent storm that rolled upon the island. In just a few short months that gang ran through the island, killing a sizable amount of my patrons, and my island. I had a frequent customer who saw the man that lead that group firsthand; he described him as a grizzled mass of scar and muscle. But that was once of the more tame descriptions. After all the death and destruction, people lose their minds, and their tongue. Most if not all of the toppled buildings in the area are due to that man alone. All in all, over three hundred were left dead, most more civilians and marines, the strongest being a commodore was beaten near death by their captain." There was a long pause, the bartender gripped the bottle and stared towards the ground. "Some people use what they have to better the world, others just take until there is nothing left. Leander and those Beast Bloods are the latter."

Wave watched the man pick out a certain bottle that didn't seem to have been touched in some time. Blowing the considerable amount of dust off, he was able to make out a logo of a scorpion fighting a snake. Interesting, Wave thought to himself. Maybe the guy was pulling out his prime stock for a customer who actually had cash to burn. Didn't seem like there was likely much to go around in this place, so a customer with cash might just make this guy's day. But then, the man set the bottle down on the counter and informed Wave that it was poison. Wave hung his head, his optimistic hopes dashed upon the rocks. If the bartender tells you shit is shit... It's probably shit. Still, a drink was a drink. The ship he rode in on had run out of rum and then grog about two weeks prior to their arrival, and not only did Wave have a thirst, but he had high suspicions that a rowdy bunch of sailors would be making their way through this town drinking it dry when the captain let them loose for shore leave. He'd have to get what he could while the getting was good.

Sounds like this island has seen some pretty rough times. If I seem happy or excited at all, I trust you won't take that the wrong way. I'm very sorry for your troubles. I'm just happy to hear about what's going on in the world. No one on the last ship I was on had a News Coo subscription, and I was with them for the last couple months. Nothing but fishing villages and uninhabited islands in our path. The best news we ever heard was that we were having white gruel for dinner. The worst news we heard was that the gruel was green... You really prayed that the gruel wasn't green... Wave took the glass the barkeep poured for him, gazing down into the dark amber liquid he twirled the glass, swinging the liquid around the glass, letting it breath. Still, I am excited to hear about these pirates. Following the stories of the outlaws of the seas was one of my favorite hobbies as a kid. I used to run around town picking up discarded newspapers. I made an allowance from the village overseer for picking up the garbage, but I always kept the newspapers to read about the battles between the marines and the pirates. This Leander sounds like a headline I would have enjoyed reading about. Sounds like a powerful guy. A devil fruit user, and a Logia no less. Very rare. But, even Logias are not unbeatable. Wave brushed his waist absent-mindedly. A muffled, metallic *clink* issued from his jacket.

The Beast Blood pirates sound like they were more recent. I might even come across them in my travels on this route if the Marines haven't bagged them yet. Can you tell me anything more about them? How many they were? How they fought? Do they have bounties? Any posters where I could see what they look like?... I realize this line of questioning may seem a little inappropriate, and I do apologize for that. You must understand, I've been trapped on a small ship with the same brutes for months now where the most engaging conversation I had was with a man named "Rod" about his recent outbreak of toe fungus. Wave absent-mindedly took a swig of his rum as he finished speaking. He flinched. Either the stuff really was poison, or he had been drinking watered-down-grog way to long..

"Hyuk-Hyuk-Hyuk! What a coincidence, I have horrid toe fungus!" A long awkward pause would fill a decent amount of time. "Well, if you want to find out who they are there are a few outs posters outside. It's a bit of the way off from here, off the top of my head I can recall their captain being around one hundred and thirty million! A pretty hearty sum to just randomly appear. From what I hear their captain is a martial artist of some kind, a deadly one at that. He also appears to be some sort of cat thing. His right hand man, is a woman that carries around oddly huge swords. When they were around she had severely burned down the islands residential Commander, not to mention a block of homes! Aside from that I don't really know much. They spent a lot of time in the shadows, mostly attacking at night or early morning, away from prying eyes." he stopped to look at the boy who seemed to really dislike the flavor.

"That rum has aged over a century boy! Please, show some restraint when making faces. It's poison, but that poison is worth every penny!"

Wave shook off the questionable flavor of the rum and took another swig. The second drink was definitely easier than the first. After all, he didn't want to offend the man. Plus, if this was the best drink he was going to get on this island, he didn't want it to go to waste, even if it was poison. And if this was the best company he was going to find around these parts, then he wanted to make the most of that too. It was certainly interesting to hear what the man had to say. It seemed like the bartender knew just enough information to be interesting, but not enough to be useful, really. Beast Blood was apparently a pirate crew from what he gathered. The barkeep didn't make it known how many they were in total, but Wave could assume they were at least three or four, as the man referred to them as a "group". He seemed to know a little about two of them. He spoke of the leader. A man with a 130 million belly bounty was nothing to sneeze at. And, it seemed, he was responsible for quite a bit of the damage Wave had seen while he was making his way here from the docks. The barkeep referred to him as a martial artist, which was good to know, and also he stated that he was some sort of cat thing. Wave didn't quite know what to make of that last bit. A cat thing? Hard to figure what exactly that referred to. It could be that the man used some sort of cat-like martial arts. Or, maybe he possessed the powers of a Devil Fruit just like Wave did. Wave knew that the Zoan-type Devil Fruit allowed the user to transform in an animal. Maybe it was something like that? Zoans were widely considered to be the weakest of the three types of Devil Fruits, but Wave knew that they could increase the physical abilities of their users many times over. A Zoan-type Devil Fruit would be the ideal choice for a martial artist. If this was indeed the type of ability this 130 million belly man had, then he would have to watch his back. The barkeep also spoke of the second-in-command of the crew. A woman who used large swords to fight. Wave was curious, but it seemed there was little other information to be had on her other than info on her victims here on the island.

Wave took another sip as he pondered on what the barkeep had to say. Seems like this island has had an interesting year or two. Here's to having a couple boring years now that the excitement is over. Seems like yawl could use a break. Wave rose his glass casually in a toast-like gesture. I don't suppose you've heard anything recently in the news about the rest of the world? As I said, I was something of a nut when it came to tracking the movements of pirates and marines back in the day. Any new, world-shaking news been published recently? Wave had an almost joking tone to his voice. He didn't really expect there to be earth-shattering news. It was rare for things to happen that would qualify as "world-shaking".

"The world...hmmm..." the bartender reached his hand toward the beli. Placing his left hand calmly upon the money Wave had placed he would show a grin. "Well, there have been some unconfirmed sightings of a yonkou vessel around the waters. A few weeks ago, the Beast Blood Pirates had been setting much of the island ablaze; literally I mean. Within two days they managed to burn down our islands Cactithedral, and several private estates; terrible stuff really. But within those two days a vessel that flew the flag of Bright Eyes was clearly seen by several fishermen and marines alike. Now there is news of sightings of several other powerful men appearing in the grand line. Yonkou and warlords alike have been rumored to be doing some big business around here. It's amazing how quickly the scum of the earth will clamor to the shores of beaten lands." Somewhere below the countertop, a banging could be heard. The banging could be dismissed as something unimportant at first, but it persisted. It could be felt coming from under wave just near the barkeep. Then the yell of a woman pierced the empty air. 'Help!' It roared. The bartender gleamed and a nearly toothless smile appeared on his face. Pulling the cash towards him the sound of sliding chairs behind wave would be heard. The room was filled with nine men outside of the barkeep, all at once they rose and pulled out either a knife or simple flintlock on Wave. Keeping their distance the bartender spoke.

"Well Wave, I think yer on the tail of a great news story. It'll read 'Decapitated Head Found Floating on the Waves' Freh-Freh-Freh! It's a good think you drank that rum. It'll be the last think you will ever have!" pulling hatchet from the under counter, he swung it at waves neck!

Wave was thrown off guard by the news he had just heard. A Yonkou was moving through paradise? This was huge. And a ship flying Bright Eyes's flag was seen around here!? This far back on the Line. Wave wouldn't have been more surprised if he had heard that the Yonkou had headed for the Blues. He might just as well have. The exit of Reverse Mountain was only a short day's travel from here from what he heard. What purpose did a Yonkou, one of the strongest pirates on the sea, and one of the rulers of the New World have coming back to this place? Or even sending his representatives? This was definitely world-shaking news. And of course, if the Yonkou was here, then the marines would be moving as well, and probably the Shichibukai no less. The Grand Line was going to be a much more dangerous place until whatever this was blew over and the monsters returned to their homes. Still... For an enterprising new pirate, looking to make a name for himself fast, this situation could prove quite rewarding if it was played right. Luckily Wave happened to be just that.

Wave was suddenly roused from his reverie when he realized that the bar-top was shaking by pounding from beneath and muffled cries. Wave suddenly realized that the bartender was saying something. Come again? I didn't hear what- *SMACK*. Wave slammed his hand down on the table. The hatchet stopped mid-swing, just inches away from Wave's neck. Insects. The hatchet would suddenly tug upwards, yanking the man's arm up with it and then yanking free of his hand. Four of the men pointing pistols at Wave's back would suddenly find their guns yanked powerfully to the sides, and the triggers pulled as they shot each other. The knives were similarly freed from three of the other men's hands and shot across the room, stabbing the men in each other's chests. As the remaining two men came at Wave from behind, the odd, black, metallic triangle hanging from his back suddenly shot backwards at them. Opening in half lengthwise, it revealed itself to be a large titanium shield, but it looked more like a large titanium battering ram as it slammed into the two men horizontally with bone-crushing force, carrying them back to send them flying through a window at the front of the bar out onto the street.

The situation taken care of, Wave stood from the stool he had been sitting at. He glared at the bartender, though on his mouth he wore a humored smirk. Here I was trying to play the nice guy. Taking it easy on an island that looked like it had already been through so much trouble. Besides, how famous can I get from destroying an island that has already been destroyed, at least three times already by the sound of it. And what do I get for my consideration? A decapitation? Maybe this island is my kind of place after all. If I could get famous here, I might have just had to build myself a little summer home. But I can't, so I won't. As Wave spoke, his Aegis Shield floated back to hover behind him. With a grinding metal-on-metal sound, five swords with varying designs but almost identical straight blades drew themselves from the inner side of the shield and hovered in the air around Wave. So. Wave snapped and the five blades spun around to point their sharp tips at the bartender. I assume if I go to look at those bounty posters you were telling me about earlier, I'll find my own hanging there as well? Still 60 million?I assume so. Haven't done much lately. And honestly, I doubt I'll get much credit for taking you bounty hunter trash out. Wave turned his attention back to the bar. Still, you've piqued my curiosity. Who's in the bar?

The bounty hunter stood in awe. His weapon weielding arm still floating high above his head. Fear overtook the sly roleplayer as the true demeanor of Wave flashed brightly for the few moments they did.

"Sixty Million bounty Wave Dalzeel."

The man lowered his craning raised arm.

"Posters failed to mention your abilities. Wave, I am the fastest hand among my troop. If your are faster on the trigger, be my guest and find out what's below this bar.

As the man lowered his arm he quickly whipped his opposite arm up. Swinging it at blinding speeds it would be a bit hard for wave to follow it. However once his arm was raised it would be apparent the bounry hunter had no weapon.

With his troops defeated and relieved of his weapon, the bounty hunter appeared defeated. But, this bounty hunter was resourceful and full of tricks. Even as he admitted defeat and tried to draw Wave's attention to the hidden space below the bar, his free hand shot out in a quick strike at Wave. But, Wave was not so easily distracted now. His adrenaline had been released by the sneak attack and he was more wired than he probably even needed to be against these foes. His senses had spiked and his blood lust had not been sated by the meager offerings of these weak hunters. The lead hunter was fast, but Wave was faster. As the man's arm shot up in an unarmed strike, Wave would snap his fingers. The Aegis shield and four of the five swords would fall to the floor lifelessly, but the one remaining blade suddenly shot forward so fast that the air cracked around it. It shot forward like a bullet and impaled the man's had to the bar, sinking into the wood below. Rail Gun. Wave said quietly to himself. He then looked the bounty hunter in the eye. You're brave, to stare death in the face and not flinch. I admire that. It's not something you often see in enemies of your... caliber. That's the only reason I'm not killing you. But understand... Wave put his elbow on the bar and leaned in close to the man, glaring at him darkly. Against me, you're outclassed.

Wave took a deep breath and sighed, standing upright and leaning back, his hands on the bar, head tilted back looking at the ceiling. Now you've got me all hot and bothered and I've got nothing to do. That bit of exercise was fun, but it wasn't enough to satisfy me. Wave looked back down at the counter with a blank face as the banging continued. Guess the only cure for boredom is going further down the rabbit hole. Wave swung himself over the counter, landing on the other side with a thud. He walked over to where the bounty hunter had indicated before and knelt down. There seemed to be some boards nailed to the floor that didn't belong there. Wave glanced back at the bounty hunter with a raised eyebrow that seemed to say, "Oh Really?". Wave rose to his feet and snapped his fingers. One of the four swords that wasn't holding down the hunter shot into the air and landed in Wave's outstretched right hand, hilt-first. Wave raised his free left hand, palm facing down at the boards and waved it to the side. The nails ripped out of the floor, taking the boards with them, revealing a woman covered in tattoos, wearing a monk's habit, bound and gagged and not looking happy about it. Wave frowned down at her. This seems like it might be more trouble than it is worth, but what the hell... Not like I've got anything better to do right now. Wave reached down with his blade and cut the bond holding the woman's hands. She could do the rest herself. He then snapped his fingers once more. His Aegis Shield rose into the air, folding itself in half into a triangular shape again and the three remaining swords rose, sliding themselves into sheaths built into the shield's folded inner workings. He stepped back, raising his left arm out to the side, inviting the woman to come out of her dark hole in the ground. He would have to see what this all led to. It certainly was interesting, if nothing else.

Screaming and grunting, the bounty hunter struggled to free his hand. While doing so he was obviously in pain, and he began to sweat perfusely. Despite being in such pain however, he would not break visual contact with wave. It seemed as though he would be soley focusing his mind on that man. Unable to free his hand he would just tug with his hand and try to move the blade from its held position. This would only cause his wound to bleed more freely as wave went on to the secret below the.counter top.

Once the woman was freed, she would spring from the small compartment she was held in shock. She had no idea who Wave was, and was entirely hesitant to even say thank you. But she would eventually do so after getting a good look at the scene.

"Th...thank you sir...." she would say out of fear more than anything. Turning to the sweaty bounty hunter lastly, her fear would be replaced with anger and she would swing her fists directly into his face. Doing so with little power, her hits would be little more than an heavy hit by a child would.

"Who are you? A murderer, or a marine!" She said loudly and she continued to pummel the pinned down bounty hunter.

Vengeance chased after every word the woman spoke, her tone piercing through the air with killer intent; and as her screams echoed wall to wall, traveling through the large double-doors of the establishment, the air grew still for a moment. She continued to place her justice upon her captor before a quiet voice of velvet cleaved the pitter-patter of the monks slap-like punches. An almost child-like chuckle resonated from the darkness within the room.

"Why question him at all when you could simply take his life."

A large male, previously cloaked silence, clearly spoke, hidden within the darkest corner of the poorly constructed establishment. This man known as Alucar, was the only man who remained still during the scuffle between the two parties. All the others seemed to jump at the chance to capture this 'bountiful' man, though there he sat, motionless in observation. His left hand resting along his side idly; the table-top he sat before teetered lightly, leaning precariously to the right of himself.

As he lifted his right arm away from the surface, the wooden slap would make a distinct wooden thud of the table legs meeting flush with the floor. Heavy footsteps moved at a slow pace and it was obvious this man was far heavier than his darkened profile appeared.

"Good thing I accounted for the bizarre powers of the Devil's sweet fruit." he said in subtle monotone, a smirk plastered across his soft visage. Out from the shadows appeared the man in question wearing a hand-tailored charcoal black suit, accompanied by a bold-red overcoat, his right arm appeared larger than the other; though, it was barely noticeable with what he wore, the bulkier clothing masking it extremely well. Long black hair dangled freely, perfectly cut and shaped. His bangs slightly intruding into his vision with the glow of violent, blood-red eyes radiating through the black, his eyes stopping on Wave,

Alucar

"If I wasn't cautious about my body, that would have been quite embarrassing, wouldn't you think? I mean, not that living projectiles aren't fun to throw." he snickered, his smile growing as he approached closer with heavy-steps.

"Wave, Wave Dalzeel, right? I didn't think you'd help the poor girl, though it seems your full of surprises, I like that. So, when the 'Walking-Coloring Book' stops tenderizing this man, what do you plan to do with him." he questioned, genuinely curious as his gaze switch to the bar-keep before reverting to the Golden-haired fellow, unable to stand the sight of the pig.

"Ew, humans are such disgusting organisms. Weak, helpless, unable to control the simplest of bodily functions... Control your perspiration while standing before your superior." he said with a bit of anger as he turned his head toward the shelving along the back wall. Al began rummaging through many of the bottles that sit upon the shelf with a calm gentle glare.

"Perfect" as he grabbed two bottles and mixed them together, pulling out an eye dropper and adding something to it, "...and another for good measure..." he continued before pulling the filthy rag from the man's back pocket and stuffed it into the bottle. After first shaking the mixture, he corked it up quickly as the bottle began to flicker a light red as a vaporous gas filled the empty portions of the glass.

"You are a fool old man, to think you could take on someone with a 60,000,000 Beli Bounty; and without even the slightest clue of how he managed to live long enough to acquire that amount. You poor bastard, you were dead from the start. Your arrogance sealed your fate." he patronized, his eyes wandering from person to person before falling back unto Wave.

"Introductions, I guess, are in order..." he said passively, his grip tightly wrapped around the neck of the stolen bottle, his gloves gathering dust. Immediately, he notice the grim collecting on his satin glove. "Great... just... this is just fucking great, now I must find a new pair of gloves, do you know how hard that fabric is to run into? And this is all because you run a piss-poor establishment." he barked as he pulled his left glove free from his alabaster-grey hand, throwing it at the bartenders face.

"Back on point, my name is Alucar. Alucar Castle Dystopia. It's a pleasure to meet a fellow scourge of the sea, especially one with such a handsome bounty." he said to Wave, showing no inclination of attacking, lacking aggressive. He seemed rather calculated and well-reserved.

Your best nightmare.

Wave would watch as the previously captive woman freed herself. She seemed pleased to be free of her bondage, but uncertain of how to treat her savior. That was understandable, he supposed. She had just been through a rather traumatic experience. Wave would merely shrug as she offered him her thanks, and he watched as she became aware of the bounty hunter still pinned to the bar top. The woman launched herself at her captor and beat on him with what strength she could apparently muster. He gleaned from the words she shouted that she wasn't familiar with the man. That was a shame. It seemed he wouldn't get much information from her. Am I a murderer or a marine? That's a rather extreme generalization to make. But, I suppose if I have to choose one or the other, I would be a murderer. One way or another, I'm certainly not a marine. But, I would be more interested to know who you are, and who this bounty hunter is, and how the two of you wound up in this situation? I may have a sizable bounty for this part of the world, but I doubt anyone would have known that I was coming here before I arrived, and I find it hard to believe that this man and his henchmen set this elaborate trap in the time it took me to walk from the docks to this place. So I guess my question, simplified, would be... what the hell is going on?

Wave's eyes would suddenly widen and a dark frown would cross his face as he heard another voice rise from behind his back. It seemed that there was another man here in one of the dark corners of the bar. Maybe he had been in a booth. Maybe he had sat extremely still through the whole situation as it developed. Wave didn't know how, but it was extremely rare for him to overlook an important aspect of his surroundings like this. And yet, the situation was that a strange man now approached the bar from behind Wave's back, and the situation caused Wave to slowly turn and glare at the man as he made his way forward.

Wave listened silently as the man prattled on, and finally introduced himself as Alucar Castle Dystopia. The name didn't ring any bells in Wave's mind, but he was still wary of the man. When the man had finished his introduction, Wave just about sneered at him. I don't know who you are. But a native Grand Liner should know how dangerous it is to sneak up behind a pirate. Wave leaned his back against the bar and crossed his arms across his chest. I'm afraid I've never heard of you... Alucar was it? I can't say I know what exactly you are? A pirate? Your interest in my bounty makes you sound more like a bounty hunter. I've dealt with nothing but bounty hunters for some time now. I must say, it's getting rather boring. I can't say I'm to fond of being critiqued by some shady stranger either. I do as I please, when I please, and how I please. I'm not very interested in whether that surprises you or not. Wave sighed. *Shaa~* But then, I suppose the situation was a bit boring to begin with. Now you've made it a bit more interesting. The real question is, can you make it entertaining? Suddenly, Wave dropped the straight-bladed iron sword from his hand. Before it hit the floor, the iron blade suddenly swooped upwards towards the ceiling and proceeded to dive-bomb Alucar. Wave wasn't one to take such an intrusion lightly, especially not after he had gotten his blood flowing. He wanted to see just what this Alucar person was capable of. Mass Effect.

Wave leaned lazily, slouched before him on the bar as curiosity seemed to bubble; it was easy for Alucar to read and it made him giddy. “I never said I was a native, did I? Though as a pirate myself, I know all to well. Maybe, I was seeing how you’d react?” he blurted, his smile growing larger as he tightened his grip around the concoction he brewed. The noxious gases plumed and tumbled within the glass container, eventually turning to liquid before evaporating once more in a cycle.

I see we don’t take to kindly to compliments, do we? At least your not arrogant” he mumbled, the corners of his lips curling like a devilish tail, his scarlet eyes fixated on the man as he spoke. No fear registered as he calculated his options. The Bartender nor the pretty young lady coated in her full body ink seemed to be a worry for him.

Wave’s speech seemed extremely straight forward; and as Alucar always did, he tried to pick apart the man’s speech patterns and mannerism, though to no avail. The more he thought about it as Wave continued to speak, the more he drew blanks. The only idea or thought he could muster, reflected himself.

Maybe he is beyond humanity, the same as I. Cursed just like myself?’ the psychopath questioned internally as his brain attempted to piece the puzzle together in his head. The conclusion was simple; this man most like wasn’t normal, maybe not even human.

Alucar couldn’t disagree with Wave as he groaned about how boring the situation was. He had a already beaten the man and now time felt slow with nothing to do or see. A tad bit of entertainment wouldn’t be bad, would it?

The soft smirk turned quickly to a toothy-smile revealing a sharp set of pearly whites; each glistening and with vibrant gleams, even in the minimal lighting of the run-down shack. The contrast of the white against his jet-black hair caused the red-tone of his eyes to intensify.

Wave dropped his weapon, which surprised Alucar, until he remembered his powers he had witnessed, he remained calm, motionless. The anticipation of not knowing was like ecstasy to him, and the thought of a challenge made him rose-red in the face. The sword ceased it’s decent on a dime, rapidly raising above the man’s head before the Pirate in front of him spoke clearly, without an ounce of unnerving in his voice,

Mass Effect.

The words rang in Al’s ears like the bells of every sacrilegious church that littered the towns he had walked. A single brow raised out, intrigue lingering across his face and before he knew it, the projectile soared, moving with masterful speed. Alucar wouldn’t have been able to move out of it’s trajectory, though he was already confident in what he wanted to do.

The distinct sound of a sword piercing through flesh echoed against the wooden constructs. Alucar remained at rest, his expression only changing in the slightest from the mortal discomfort. The man’s weapon had driven down and out, dive-bombing through the top of his left shoulder; ripping cleanly through his coat and shirt as blood gathered, soaking his clothes. The blade exited out his back, nearly nicking his metallic torso, missing every bone and vital organ. The pain was more excruciating than he wished to let on, he remained as he was, speaking in a bit of irritation,

Well shit… didn’t think you’d pick the proper side. How cruel mortality is.” he laughed, almost as if he was being buddy buddy with his attacker. Giving a soft tug at the sword with his right arm, he attepted to pull it free from it’s position. If it gave free, he would calmly place it down atop the counter that stood between them.

Oh, great… this coat is just trashed. Ugh...” he bickered as the blood dripped from the blade. Now, with his disadvantage, he felt it was his time to make a move, regardless if the blade had been removed from his walking corpse.

In a single fluid motion, Alucar swiveled, taking the bottle from his left to his right and used his moment to smash the bottle against the ground, hidden behind the bar’s divider. As he released the bottle, ideally out of Wave’s sight, he allowed his cybernetics to do what he created them to do. And before the bottle smashed to pieces, the sounds of gears sounded as his right arm opened at the wrist, like a hatch.

EXORCISM!” he bellowed with the exact same intensity he held in his eyes. Flying like a missle, he flew through the air, a metallic-spear point now visibly peaking over his head like a ram. A blood-like fluid propelled him skyward, demolishing through the roof of the complex, completely draining a fuel cell. With both feet beneath him, he landed with flat feet onto the roof with a heavy thud. Al giggled in time with the massive creak of the building; although, that was the least of their problems at this time.

The shattering of glass would be followed immediately by the roar of flames screaming to life, raising from the behind the counter. Using his knowledge of chemicals, he made a homebrew Alchemist's Fire, dangerous, highly volatile compound that breaks down oxygen creating rapid combustion. It’s similar to an ointment he had made to cauterize wounds on the field of battle, but without the dilution of the pain relief. In this form, it was a deadly attack. This type of fire needs to be smothered. Alucar thought of it as the greatest form of fire due to water being unable to snuff the devastating flames. A heat wave plumed to the heavens, intense enough to feel through the Al-sized hole in the ceiling. The wild fire would spread rather quickly thanks to the dry conditions of the old wooden materials.

“.We should take this outside” he shouted thru the gaping hole, looking down on Wave with a smile, his wounds bleeding lightly. The pain was more than he thought, the constant pulsating ting of pain was a little distracting, but not life threatening, but he would see this through to the end. A little jump from the roof to the dirt below, he turned to face the large double doors of the enflamed establishment, the large spike now arched over his back like a massive scorpion tail swaying side to side in wait for his ‘buddy’ to appear,

You are fun! This is the most thrill I have had in ages.” he cackled with a monstrous laugh.
