Ginjo was tired of it. Tired of relying on his sword. Relying on tricks and traps. Relying on going into a blind fury to match someone of greater strength that made him release something he wanted to keep deep, deep in his soul and never let it free. That beast was not him, and he hated it. Slowly his eyes opened as he floated along, he had put in his request to go off-the-maps for a few months, he needed time, time to locate Kamina and learn from him. The man was his goal, he had always been his goal- he wanted to learn from him, be strong like him. There were other, more powerful individual's in certain ways- sure. Leander Hastings, Izuru Kazehara, and this "Tony" were all examples. Yet they fought as he did. They used tricks, traps- Leander especially relied on far more things then even he did. That was not how he wanted to be; he relied on everything that wasn't him- was that really what he could call strength? Was that really what he could say could be used as a powerful base to build the new world on- and destroy this corrupted current one? No. He refused. He needed to get strong through one thing and one thing; diligent, dedicated, exhausting hard word day in and day out. With this in mind Ginjo had taken a simple one man ship, with room and supplies for his travel and nothing more- and finally left Cactus Island after spending nearly a year there fixing it. Now it was time he fixed something besides someone else, fixed something that wasn't a place or another individual- it was time he fixed himself. This was what drove him, as Gin's eyes slowly traveled down to look at the flowing water of a river that exited from the islands streams. This was a place filled with powerful beasts and dinosaurs, a place that was without any real town or regulation, it was perfect. Secluded, far from others eyes because so many disliked it and rarely explored it- simply leaving it as soon as they could. He had arranged for a message to be sent to Kamina through his more .. shady, network. The message had been simply; otherwise it would be seen as to valuable, he knew Kamina was intelligent- he would figure it out. The question was if he cared to even come and see Ginjo despite the offer. Which was simple; the message that Kamina would have received eventually through the black market system of pirates after several weeks of searching before Ginjo had even left Cactus Island was as follows, at the corner was a birdcage that was opening drawn- with the birds being set free. To the naked eye the letter was literally bad poetry, however to someone whom could put two and two together would be able to easily see the message hidden within it. The poem was filled with the words related to birds, of cages and being set free- all very corny and almost seemed like a really bad attempt at a love song about two birds being free. Ginjo was no poet, especially when he was trying to write a damn code. However, whenever Kamina would figure it out- the message was rather simple. Ginjo frowned as he eyed the massive tree's and heard a distant roar- now the question was, had Kamina gotten the message? And if so- was he willing to truly train him, and help him form the Atarashi? |

Kamina had arrived at the island rather quickly. In general, it did not take him long to find the place, as this was one of the few islands he knew much about; his study of the late pirate king's journey's fueling his knowledge of the world around him. His journey was discreet, and he could not hope for a more safer travel, his eyes set only on the situation that would unfold before him. But what exactly did that mean? If he was waling into a trap, he actually doubted his ability to keep himself from being captured, as he was sure that whoever had sent that message knew just how strong he was, and, if their intentions were negative, would know to have the man power to bring him down, especially when they were capable of actually finding him, when he had been so careful as to cover his tracks. If it were him trying to capture himself, he thought, with his ever-changing skill set being kept in mind, he would take extra precautions that would ensure victory. But then, thinking that, why would he potentially walk to his doom? The simple answer was that he wasn't. He had docked in a fairly secluded area of the island, getting a stand-in to appear on his behalf. He sat there, staring at his den den, laying comfortably as he waited for something amiss to happen. Meanwhile, the man, someone he had recruited to his former crew as his double, made his way to the spot that was set as the meeting place on the island, dressed in the suit he had once worn with his hair in much the same fashion as before; Kamina had no intention of revealing his new attire just yet. And even if they did know how he currently looked, it wasn't exactly a stretch to believe he may go back to an older appearance out of preference. Thankfully, his double was fairly spot on, and could likely pass as believable. Save, that is, for the fact that he was only as strong as the grunts he employed to make up the bulk of his crew. But that made it all the more easy to see the intentions of this man. It was, in fact, a mixture of miracle and Kamina's guardianship that allowed this man to make it all the way to the proposed meeting spot, but nothing that required to fill the beast king with worry; there was no creature here that could match him, even if he did hold back. He was sure of it. The man continued, a den den mushi set on him so that Kamina's would be able to hear whatever this stranger had to say. And speaking of, the Kamina impersonator had made it to the tree line. The man fixed the newcomer with a rather serious expression, attempting to mimic those Kamina genuinely used, before speaking in a voice that, in all honesty, was nearly like the real thing. "So. You must be the person who went through such lengths to contact me," he said somewhat offhandedly, nearly nailing the beast king's sense of confidence and detached interest. "A better world? Forming a group? What exactly did you mean by that? I came out of interest for how you managed to find me, and slightly because the idea of a better world appealed to me. Care to elaborate?" Kamina, meanwhile, felt his muscles tense. The man that was under him seemed fairly good at the act, but there were still holes. He asked the wrong questions. He said the wrong things. Kamina himself would not allow this stranger to be filled in on his ignorance. He would take the answers in a more indirect fashion. Keep the conversation casual. Perhaps get the other man comfortable by putting him at ease with his jovial attitude; all severity would be erased, making it seem as though Kamina had dropped his guard. He whispered under his breath, sighing soon afterwards. "Wrong way. Try the right one." At the back of his mind, Kamina wondered how wise to the situation this stranger was. How well did this man know him? He had always kept to himself, and kept himself from being well known for the express purpose of keeping himself a wild card in both battle and politics. Which, he thought, was why he was so skeptical of anyone's wish for him to train them. Could they see through this charade? And, more than that, did they possess some ability to cheat their way through it? These were thoughts that, now, currently plagued him, even though they were not something that he felt all that concerned with. In fact, perhaps, this would aid in his ability to see through whatever this man is doing, if indeed it was kept away from his vision. Only time would tell. |

Ginjo's footsteps fell along the jungle-covered paths, his Haki spreading outward in a moderate radius around him as he carefully made sure to avoid the stronger of the Dinosaur's and beasts. Yes- he could probably take most of them on, and struggle but beat the stronger- but he was not about to go meet the beast King (who may very well attack him, even with his good intents) covered in wounds and exhausted from a close fight with a pack of raptors, or who knows what else. Carefully he moved forward, each step taking him through the jungle brush as his Haki acted like a sonar to ensure he didn't run into anything to strong; only a singular pack was unavoidable. His eyes narrowed on the weaker beasts, they were not Raptors- covered in feathers of color they were more like predatory land-birds that came up to his waist. But there were alot of them. ".. I don't have time for this." He muttered as he waved a hand in a slash in front of him- his eyes turning white at the iris as the birds felt the blast of Kings hit them, and they toppled over without a word, several of weaker will foaming at the mouth. Shaking his head, he stepped forward and continued past them- he was sure a few would be devoured; but that was the way of this island. He would not protect them, they challenged a stronger predator- some of them would pay the price. His eyes found the meeting spot, he had specifically chosen a location that was near the water for an emergency exit- for ether of them if it was needed, but far enough from the coast that it would still cover them from any off-hand ships Gin was not aware of from the Marines coming his way to spot them. And then, there he stood before him, that man of incredible power- except it wasn't. His Haki told him that instantly. Slowly his eyes narrowed but he played along- the man was too accurate to Kamina physically, even posture and tone was rather spot-on. But despite the confident tone and body language, the things he actually said- did not match up. You don't act confident and wise; and then ask and question every single thing that drove you here. Kamina was not some brute, despite what so many seemed to think- he was one of the greatest tacticians in existence right now- which was a serious part of why he had specifically come to him first before any of the rest he intended to try and gather into the group. He listened and waited, patiently- there were several options; this was a complete imposture and his note had somehow been given to a doppleganger and somehow they had been smart enough to figure out the code. Which he supposed was possible but the chances were in the single-digit percentiles. The other options were more possible, Kamina had sent his double to act for him as Gin was an unknown- which made sense, he had considered it after all for a while but he had felt it left a bad taste in his mouth when dealing with a man he respected so. No- he thought it was a better idea for this time; to come in person. Izuru and Leander may be a different story however- but this was now, not the future. It was the idea that made the most sense, and it wasn't in his nature to act violently anyway- so he remained calm and crossed his arms under his chest. Watching the man patiently as he slowly began in a calm tone for facing down the 'beast king'. ".. I thought you would have taken at least some knowledge of me. I suppose that's what I get for being a nobody." His lips curled in a slight smile- ".. My name is Ginjo Xoi, Mr. G-Fist." He began this simply as his previous statement made it a hint that he knew at least something was up; yet did not mind playing along. "I mean exactly that. I joined the marines as a child of ten years old, many years ago- with the soul purpose of gaining rank, so that I could have a safe place to grow strong as well as be within reach to kill the celestial dragons." His tone was rather cold as he stated this, revealing that darker side of him that represented his hatred for them- at such a young age, planning to murder them. ".. I wish to kill them, end their power in every way. This includes undermining the so called 'rights' they have to the world- embarrassing the current world government and destroying its backbone. I wish to end it; so it can be changed into a world more worth fighting for .. one that is less corrupt, and less evil. Though governments will always be so- a Republic, instead of an essential Military-State, is far more acceptable in my view." His eyes slowly met the 'Fake Kamina' as his eyes hardened with a determination and hatred that did not fit such a young man. ".. But I cannot do that alone. No matter how strong one man is it is not enough; and nor do I know if I .. could see past my hatred alone to ensure that good was done in the end." He took a slow breath and his determination remained, but the anger seemed to disperse. ".. So I am forming a group. One known as Atarashi .. it means 'A New Day'. I am trying to bring the strongest, and most intelligent anti-government individual's together to form it. But I decided you had to be first .. because if I could not prove myself to you; then I was not ready. As such .. I wanted to before asking you to join, or dedicate anything to me .. to train me. I am weak. I know this; I rely on my blade to much, tricks to much, technology and strategy, these are all good things to have- but not rely on and dedicate my continued life to. I need your help to move past that .. to be strong on my own." His speech at an end, his eyes did not look into the man's eyes- but instead his eyes traveled to the Den Den that was likely hidden on the fake Kamina's body, his Haki telling him where it was- staring at the location as his eyes hardened. "So what say you, Beast King?" His tone and the way he shrugged off the fake made it clear- he wanted to know the true Kamina's words; not the dopplegangers. Techniques Used

The impostor simply stared. He seemed to be listening to what this newcomer, Gin, had to say, just as Kamina would, yet, unlike the man he was sent to stand in as, he saw nothing. Meanwhile, Kamina paused, staring intently at the den den mushi that sat in front of him. He seemed to allow the other man's words to roll around his mind for a little while, deciding what to do. It was odd. He hadn't expected the other man to figure it out so quickly, yet, he thought, it was perhaps reasonable to believe that the man had the potential to possess various means to weed out falsities, just as he himself did, and would likely utilize them in such a meeting as soon as possible, just to be certain of who he was meeting. But that also told Kamina that this man had much to hide, and likely did not want certain people to catch him unawares, which also likely meant that he was a part of some organization, based on the way he handled himself; it was very clear he was not a pirate, or, at least, not one of common ilk. And that only served to raise the beast king's guard, and to caused him to have renewed interest in what the man would have to say. Perhaps, he thought, it may be worth his time to play along, and make it appear as though he was genuinely interested in the prospect of training him, at least until he found enough out that he could be certain of whether or not this was genuine. Still, at the back of his mind, he had to consider if it was worth his time to extend the extra bit of effort to cut his losses and end him, if only after he gathered enough data. "I see. An interesting prospect. I-" The other male was cut off, yet the same voice continued, the ease of any seriousness erased from it. It was a stark contrast, yet it was the same familiar voice. The only thing that was odd about it was the fact that the first, serious voice was cut off, how quickly the second voice began, the fact that the impostor Kamina's lips weren't moving, and, more striking, was the fact that it was coming from his chest. The left breast pocket of his suit, as a matter of fact. "Well, well. Not bad. I'm not entirely certain how you figured it out, but I have my guesses," Kamina stated, obviously with no intent tom allow his knowledge, or his guesses, to be known. He hadn't known who this man was previously, but he was now very aware of who he was dealing with. "Nishishishi! So you're Ginjō Xoi. Ginjō Daniel Xoi. Commander. Or Lieutenant Commander. Commander...ooooor...Lieutenant Commander. I can't remember which. What was it...forty-three commendations? Forty-five? Six? You had a releatively slow space, but managed to pick up your earnings again," Kamina stated, hoping he wasn't confusing the man for another. Hoping that the information he was recalling was accurate enough. It was hard enough keeping track of the marines whose positions actively troubled him. "...Anyways. You're position in the marines has been pretty...stable. You don't really have any issues, if memory serves. You seem to be serving as a fairly upstanding marine. Almost a boy scout," Kamina stated, his good humor still present in the way he spoke. "...So you'll understand why I doubt you're here for tea and crumpets, and why I've decided to personally take over your ship," and then it dropped, just as quickly, before silence was on the other end. "...But I'm interested. Something about the fervor in your voice...the way you spoke of the marines...I could feel your ambition. I know it well. Which is, and don't take this personally, why you're still alive. Why you're crew is relatively unharmed. C'mon, let's have a talk. I'm itching to speak to someone like you personally." And then Kamina closed his eyes, smiling. "I do, however, enjoy the fact that your ship doesn't seem ready for battle. Or that you don't seem to have your communitcations in order. I think that was a good show of good faith on your part. But uhhhh...hurry up, will ya? I'm kinda' impatient with things like these." Kamina was about to discontinue speaking, before something rather important crossed his mind. "Also, do me a favor and bring Mr. Jones--the guy right in front of you--to me unharmed. Relatively speaking. He's a very important nakama, and he more than deserves to get out of the risky environment. Consider this the first test in your training." |

Patient and calm, Ginjo let his eyes trail toward the man's chest as he waited patiently for the other males response. Hearing the true Beast King's voice, Ginjo's eyes narrowed ever so slightly and his head slowly inclined in respect as he listened to the words. A slow smile curled as Kamina listed off his details; he was a bit unsure- which made sense as his current ranking and commendations had been increased lately. Still, the fact he had put this much research into a simple Commander spoke volumes on what he had hoped, Kamina was not just some physical monstrosity of a man- he was intelligent and that was what he truly was after. Ginjo had not expected him to go for his ship; and he debated warning the man of the .. present he had left within it. Shaking his head, he decided to let the Beast King finish first. As the words ticked by he nodded simply and raised a hand for "Mr. Jones" to come with him as he moved back the way he had come; "I will see you shortly with him in that case." He explained simply before motioning for Mr. Jones to go first as his Haki reached out and carefully kept track of the surrounding animals once more- he didn't need this man getting killed. That was hardly a good way to start this all off after all, and carefully he would keep his footing stable through the trek as he would motion the man in a different path or direction occasionally to avoid raptors, or Rexes, or anything else that may want to eat them alive in general. As he moved through the darkness of the tree's he finally made sure Jones got to step out first, so Kamina would see his friend was unharmed before he would step out as well. Closing a single eye against the sun that bathed down on them, as his free eye would locate Kamina calmly- his Haki clearly telling him the strongest power signature on the island that was standing before him. Slowly he reached up, clicking the lock on his blade- making it clear he meant no ill will, as if he could really take the man if he did decide to try to kill him. He then let Mr. Jones go first, before hopping off the sand to land lightly on the small ships deck. It was not a ship designed to be run by a crew, holding room for three or four people at the most, made of simple wood and iron with a single mast. The marine flag was rolled up so as to not give it away as he simply glanced around to locate exactly where Kamina was; he wasn't going to sit down or do anything else until he and Kamina had at least spoken a bit. However as he pondered this and he finally located the man, he would arch a brow- "Want a drink?" Of all the things he could say, this seemed to be the offer as he tucked his hands into his pockets- "If not, mind if I get one? I prefer having one while I talk .. especially when the one I'm talking to could snap my head from my body with a backhand." His lip curled in a slight smirk at the thought, he did not fear death- but it would be rather unfortunate to die now of all times. |

Kamina still sat on the beach. He figured, sense he had made the claim that he actually took over the guys ship, he may as well go through the effort of actually doing so, just to keep up appearances. The thing was, though, he didn't exactly feel like getting up, or expending any extra effort to make a big show of the whole thing. Instead, he decided to go ahead and send the other's under his service to follow this gin fellow back to his ship, before yawning, stretching, scratching his bum, and listening to their directions. He was certain enough that if he really tried, he could head the other male off, and get their quick enough to make things...interesting. He tensed his leg muscles, gathering himself, before launching himself off in the distance, where he hoped he would hit the deck of the ship. If that failed, well, he was certain he would find away to sort himself out. A few moments later, and he landed, and under him he could feel the boat rock, and the sound of things falling over in the distance. It was obvious enough that he had caused quite a bit of trouble, even more so now that he was sure there would be people rushing to see what was going on...but that wasn't his problem. He knew the person he came to meet would be here soon enough, but decided to go allow a few of his female employees passage. Because it was terribly boring not having some level of female presence around. In a few jumps, he had aquired two of them; two young, slender, relatively good looking females--with nice, long, silky hair that he--that had contributed greatly to his cause, and were great students in the craft of martial arts. He relaxed, turning his head as he heard the sound of air being split before the man appeared on the deck. Kamina was only slightly out of view, but he was sure the other man would be able to tell he was there. He had his guesses. "You took a lot less time than I anticipated; I'm impressed," Kamina stated, the lie slipping through his mouth just as naturally as any truth. He stepped into full view, leading his female companions with him, though keeping them behind him, and, thus, mostly out of harms way. "Sure, go ahead, get comfortable. We have much to discuss, friend," he stated with no small amount of friendliness, clearly no stranger to formalities. Yet, there was also the somewhat veiled threat underneath. "But no, I don't drink. It's bad for my training, and it takes too much to get me drunk anyway; I only drink special brands on special occasions," Kamina stated, denying the offer. He wasn't interested in taking anything from someone he knew nothing about just yet. More than that, though, he was telling the absolute truth. He did, however, have enough presence of mind to ignore that last part; comments could lead him astray, and he still wasn't certain just how much this man was hiding. If he, in fact, had been truthfully hiding as much as he had from the world government, who was Kamina to believe that he knew everything about this man's strength? His connections weren't nearly as vast as an organizaiton that had run most of the world all this time. "Oh, but when you're ready, you're really going to have to convince me that I don't have to try and kill you." |

The crew he had for the ship was .. barely worth mentioning really; and yet Kamina had still seemed to decide that he wanted to drag two girls along. He shook his head and made a face of distaste as he motioned for "Mr. Jones" to go toward Kamina as he moved toward one of the door's, the girls didn't only not impress Gin, it made Kamina seem showy- and it bugged him. Still he was realistic, and though he respected Kamina he had been fully aware the man likely had his own flaws, no one was perfect even if media and research would say otherwise. He simply raised his hands and grasped the door, opening it and slipping inside for a moment with a nod about Kamina's words before he took a bottle of whiskey free from the cuboard. He listened to the man's words, and simply moved forward and held the bottle- shrugging a bit at Kamina's words. "Suit yourself." He commented simply at the refusal of the drink as he leaned against the edge of the small ship and crossed his ankles, taking a swig from it- not changing expression despite the pungent scent from the bottle speaking of how often the young man was drinking. Still as he brought out a cigarette and lit it, placing it in his lips his eyes found the larger man's own. ".. Well, for starters. I won't just lay down and die. I doubt I'd survive, but I can grantee you won't come out without injuries." He stated this in a rather calm tone as he rested his elbows on the rail of his ship. "With that simple fact out of the way, the main reason would be you'd be fucking yourself over more then me killing me. You have no way of knowing how many ways I have of giving every bit of information my contacts have gathered on you to the government should I die. You're one man, no matter how strong. You cannot protect all your friends, all your contacts, and yourself from a force that has controlled the world for years. You've been very careful to stay out of the limelight recently. I doubt you want to suddenly be hounded by the government all over again." His blue eyes slowly met the older man's calmly, he did not appear tense, nor cocky- more like a scientist stating facts as he shrugged. ".. That and all the dick measuring aside. I would rather this worked out. I have spent to many years trying to make this work, keeping my goals secret, training allies, making connections- to have it all blow up in my face." His tone became more light hearted as his eyes softened a bit; "You have no reason to believe me. But I would ask you give me a chance. I'm .. sick of the strength that the government has gained. Of its twists and turns. I'm not asking you to joint he group, or trust me, I'm asking you to give me some time to prove it- and asking you to envision what having a marine that was able to find you; as an ally in the marines." He explained simply as he watched him quietly- waiting for the answer. |

Kamina relaxed. He saw the man he employed perfectly unharmed and heading his way, finding his safety...calming. He did feel compassion for those who did tasks for him, on the belief that he would be capable of leading them on the right path, and keeping them safe while on it. With every member of the small group he had brought for the purpose of dealing with Gin accounted for, he let loose a deeply, incredibly audible sigh. Next was the replies of the other male, and with them increased interest in his abilities, as well as firm respect setting in the beast king's eyes; he was now ready to hear the other man's peace proper this tie around, no longer interested in the petty formalities that generally came when men of power met. It was time to talk about the future. "Alright. I understand," Kamina stated slowly, coolly, each syllable dancing off his tongue as if some intricate fabrication. It seemed he had decided on a few things while he had heard what the other male said, before scrapping ideas, and reforming the peaces into something that, at the end, he thought was perfect. "It is useful to see that, in fact, I doubt my ability to kill you; hence why I used the word try," Kamina stated between calmed breaths, before his lips curved into a smile. "Confidence should show when you hold council like this. You are a man of power, so act like one. So long as you understand any, not just the strong can kill you, you should also give off an aire of superiority. Not quite over the person you're attempting to convince--no--but superiority in general. It's a necessary trait for leaders. If I took you to recruit Izuru or Leander, they'd probably turn you down with that kind of showing," Kamina stated, the years of strain showing in his eyes. He didn't want to lecture this one. How many times had he said much the same thing to his past students? He continued after clearing his throat, turning his eyes away from the other man, the shadows under all the more visible. "I...am not worried of the World Government. We have a silent agreement; leave each other alone, and we are left alone. They can have every bit of information on me, and it would not matter. And I am no one's savior, nor their protector," he stated with a slight sadness there betwixt with a strange wistfulness, though he had no intention of shedding light on a matter. "A threat works only if you have something to take away that a person cannot live without. And while I do not doubt your sources are potent, I doubt they can give you something from nothing. Life is life, and I will try my best to protect these things. But losing them does not change how I carry on, nor does it change how you have been erased. Killing you has little to do with being discovered, or what you could tell whoever. It has to do me as a man." He laughed, rich and hearty, before fixing his gaze on the other male, calmness seeping in. "Never make the mistake of thinking you can reach out and harm me again, for I have a deep understanding of myself and those around me, and have made my peace with the gods long ago, aware of where they will end up in their next life." His expression stiffened. "They will drink in the halls of of the Kais, aware that their life was taken through the actions of a liar and traitor. If I killed you for that and found others, not myself , struck down because of it, could you say the same?" It was a verbal backlash that may have, to the other male, seemed to have been unwarranted. But Kamina was a man of convictions, and took these things as important parts of his being. It would seem as though the man's contacts were not as well apt at discovering the nature of a man's soul. Yet...Kamina did not raise a hand to kill this man. He didn't feel like it was necessary. Even in a situation where his blade was locked, and he would thus be much easier to be rid of, the beast king was interested in this man's offer. Not because he cared about changing the flow of these things. Not because he felt he should be some hero, or gain fame, or be some driving force behind something big. He didn't do it for 'insider information', as gathering information was a hobby, and not something he did for his own health. He already had marines that would give him information; two or three in question who outranked this man. No, he did it because, behind that incredibly sophisticated and seemingly refined facade, behind how cool and calm this man seemed to be, he seemed to be searching for himself, just as the beast king himself had. He seemed to need real guidance. And that, Kamina thought, made him worth the time to see through to the end. Could he change? "So...you want to create an organization against the World Government. Fair. You will, obviously, be the leader, as its founder. There is no questioning that singular fact," Kamina stated simply, not even asking the question. And, the way he said it, it seemed he put a silent weight on it that demanded Gin to take the reigns. "And so, whether you understand it or not, you are asking me to be your subordinate, if we don't cut corners or put pretty bows on it. Fair, it is something that you worked to create, but that could complicate things. I suppose that is why you both want a strong piece in your plans, as well as making you yourself a strong piece. Fair," Kamina stated, his list becoming more clear to him. "So. You want to...what? Just kill the celestial dragons? Or do you also set your sights on generally anyone associated with the World Government that could be considered corrupt? Does that also apply to those not inherently malicious, but simply so rough around the edges they cause casualties? And does that also include marines simply devoted to the World Government's dogma, believing all of their orders are for the good?" There was, of course, a reason for all of these questions. He would get to it shortly. "Also, you say a republic. What are your exact plans for that, exactly? I am interested in fine details." Edited by SvenFold, Jul 22 2015, 03:09 PM.

Confidence, huh? That was hard when everything you had left you. The word 'confidence' seemed to actually cripple the young man for a moment- because all his bravado aside; Gin was fragile when it came to his self confidence. No one stayed. No one bothered to spend their time on him. No one cared if he died or lived. No one cared- if he cared. Despite that shattering mental blow, Ginjo recovered almost instantly- people that weren't good at reading others wouldn't of even noticed the change in his eyes, the slight twitch of his lips, but it was likely that Kamina could. Still, he shrugged it off- this was neither the time nor the place; he was here to try and move past all that not linger within it and dwell on his own weaknesses. As the verbal backlash hit him, Ginjo's eyes hardened. "It is only death." He stated this in a cold tone that was almost uncaring- not just to the fact that Kamina had asked him about others deaths, but also his own. It was as if the answer was hollow, uncaring- as if Gin only had one purpose left in him and if he died- or hundreds of others died, to complete it then that was fine. Kamina's attempt at throwing the words in his face actually seemed to harden his resolve more, and bring out a more tired, old look to his eyes of someone whom has lost far to much for someone so young. Someone that had already been broken, and was struggling to try to push on anyway- be it for revenge, or for a better world, or simply out of anger at the world? It was hard to say. However, as Kamina began and the details began to roll off his tongue- the man analyzing the specific details of it all. Gin already noted several issues in the man's analyses. He waited patiently for the man to finish, and ask his questions before his eyes slowly closed. "You misunderstand. The group will not have a leader. I am not fit for such a position. I am weak, and .. I am tired of trying to lead others. Every group member will have an equal say in anything that is agreed upon, and a vote. Should it be a tie, then the tie will be settled in any number of chosen ways- be it talking to try and sway a vote, or through combat if the individual's prefer. I do not want this group to be some .. dictatorship. That is what I'm trying to fight against." His words seemed to of regained their calm composure as had his posture as he took a light sip of his drink, debating quietly before his eyes trailed toward Kamina's own once more. At the more important questions his eyes hardened a bit; "Killing the Celestial Dragons is a good .. first step. Though .. my .. personal goal is kill, the groups goal would simply be to remove their power. How that is done could be any way and is for the group to decide. The Celestial Dragons are at the root of many evils of the Government, but hardly all of them." He murmured as he debated the best way to answer the question 'what did he want'. Well that was actually easy. Blood. But he wasn't about to just say that, because in the end he did want a better world as well. ".. Though I would love to go through the marines and just kill or remove from power all the corrupt officials, its incredibly unrealistic. Instead the destruction of the current government is what I want, but not to a degree that it is complete chaos. It needs to remain at the roots so that a republic and stronger, more fair government can be built atop it. The removal of the celestial dragons powers, and nobles that simply get to do what they wish because of blood- is a good first step. Removal of high-ranking marines that are corrupted is a good second step. Taking out the internal workings of the CP-9, the Gorosei, and so forth- is a good final step after all the others have been taken to weaken the government as a whole." Slowly he closed his eyes and sighed. ".. As far as the term 'Republic'. I mean exactly that- a United government of all the Islands, each with its own representative. The New world would not be so easy, but Paradise could be done so. Each representative with a vote, an opinion, backed with the population of their Island to decide core changes and ideas that effect Paradise as a whole. Everything the current World Government Decides, but instead of being done by a group of powerful old military men- everyone gets a say. It cannot stop all secrets, and I'm not saying it also wont be corrupt to a degree, but in my eyes it is the lesser of two evils in comparison to a Military State and Noble-Blood Empire Hybrid; that we currently have essentially." Slowly, his eyes opened once more and focused on Kamina- waiting the responses to his statements, and answers. |

Kamina blinked, observing the man's reply. If he had seen anything--which he had--he gave no indication of such a fact. Instead, he focused more on everything he was hearing as a whole, and, for the most part, did not care to continue his long speech about ethics, and morals, and all of those other unnecessarily complicating details. He felt he had a much better idea of this man, Gin, and felt that it was not worth the time to probe further. He was willing to deal with him. As he finished, Kamina's dark eyes shining as he silently listened, keeping eye contact to show a silent respect of the man's words. At least, enough to listen to them fully. As it ended, Kamina nodded curtly, before deciding to say his peace. "I see," he said firmly, yet somewhat offhandedly, before nodding. "It sounds good for the most part, I will have to admit. You seem to understand, very well I may add, the difficulty of certain actions, and realize that the world will be hardly perfect with your actions, should you succeed," Kamina closed his eyes, before nodding again, seeming to agree with some form of silent debate that was going on in his mind. It seemed he would finally decide how he wanted to weigh in on the focal points of this organization. Kamina cleared his throat, opening his eyes once more to look at the other male. "I think, if I were someone who was intelligent and would be on the interest of the people, it may behoove you to add a caveat. Perhaps, instead of weakening the World Government as a whole, we only do so in such ways so we do not interrupt operations that would assist the innocent. Weakening the World Government as a whole also has the effect of weakening part of it that are beneficial to the world, so that is a serious issue in and of itself," Kamina stated, focusing on this truth with a severe level of importance. "I believe we should keep our veil of secrecy, make certain attacks seem completely unconnected, and should be very careful where we attack when we first start, targeting only things that could be the work of just about anyone with connections, and work towards domino effects with minimal ill effect on government agencies and systems that we may want to keep." Kamina's mouth twisted into his trademark smirk, and he nodded towards the other man. "This way of going about things will extend the survivability of Atarashi even further, and will also allow us the ability to gain additional allies we would not have before. We shouldn't really operate as some of these revolutionary groups out there, who are loud, well known, and make movements that are both grandiose and indiscriminate of how it affects things, so long as it harms the world government in some way. They're considered brutes by some of the people in the world, and are deemed the sorts that keep people from wanting to work for them," Kamina stated, almost sighing. "Consider this sort of like being silent assassins. High order, mystery book sort of thing," Kamina stated, flashing his white teeth in a bright smile. "I figure this could also help me pull some strings, and allow marine allies of mine to lend me a hand. We could legitimately gain some marine help, other than you, just because I'm sure that there are many marines tired of the World Government's shit, but feel its the best way to go about helping without being hounded, and do not want to join the revolutionaries for reasons stated above." And just as quickly as Kamina's face smirked and smiled, it fixed the other male with a hard stare. "No, you misunderstand. I wasn't asking you if you would be the leader. I wasn't assuming. I was telling you that you need to be, even if not quite directly," Kamina stated, his expression hard. "You seem to misunderstand what a leader is, if you think dictatorship and leadership are interchangeable. In an organization with that many powers, if you, the creator, do not lead, it will fall a part; this is not a chance, but a certainty. I already knew how you wanted to handle the creation and management of the organization the moment you mentioned it to me," Kamina stated tiredly, almost tempted to sigh afterwards. "There are many ways a person can be a leader. It generally starts with people having faith in you, and that does not always have to do with physical or mental fortitude. Sometimes leaders feel as though they are completely unprepared for a situation...yet they pull it together and act as a sort of beacon of hope," He didn't like the way he said that, he thought, as he felt incredibly corny as it left his lips. His eyes seemed to brim with confidence in his words. "You lead by coming up with ideas for what to do when others can't. You lead by putting on that tough face. You lead by even just looking like you know what to do. You help handle squabbles. You keep things together, so that those who don't lead don't accidentally tear it a part. If you form an organization, these people will expect you, the founder, to do something when things look bad," Kamina shook his head. "If you don't understand that, regardless of how you feel, this is all bound to happen...I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps you're looking for the wrong route to take. Perhaps you need to join the revolutionairies," And, just like that, Kamina allowed the other man to let all of this sink in. One of the females behind him, the taller of the two, stood on the tips of her toes and whispered into the beast king's ear. "Ah...I see. Go get him for me," He stated, not hushing his words, And, at that point, she made her way off the ship. Obviously, whoever 'he' was, he wasn't exactly far, as there was no way Kamina was sane enough to send a mook trekking any real distance in such a dangerous place. Gin nodded softly in agreement as Kamina began; he agreed with the man's opinions for the most part when it came to the safety of the innocents. That was always the issue with any plan to cause widespread change; the worlds innocents were in the way and there was no way to help it. If you wanted to make a difference you had to almost always put them in danger, or limit your cause to being slow, secretive. But that was the entire point of this group and he- now that the hostility and dick measuring was out of the way, felt a bit safer- poured the bottle into a glass instead after scrounging for some ice as he pulled a seat up and sat opposite of Kamina as he sipped from the glass lightly while he listened. Slowly he nodded as he frowned in thought; addressing each point in order as they came to him. "I agree that it should be secretive and unknown as a group. The entire purpose of the group is to be completely unknown, for only the captains- the main members, and perhaps a trusted right hand, to come to the meetings and remain unknown entirely. If I wanted to make a revolutionary army I would do that. But I know how that old song goes, my parents were revolutionaries- and now they are d- .." His voice seemed to choke. It was only for a moment but it was apparent as he slowly closed his eyes, took a sip of his drink to control himself and try not to focus on the memories and instead continue as he was talking. ".. Now they, their crew, family, and soldiers- are dead, and they achieved nothing. Not only that but hundreds of innocents I'm sure died indirectly because of their actions." He slowly shook his head- "I want this group to be a handful of powerful people for a reason, so we can send only two to three members on specific missions and take out key powerful intelligence for the government, specifics heads and so forth. I want it to be quite, effective, and without any hint to trace us all together. The only thing that will give us off to one another, is the ring that I will give to each of us. The rings will have the generic symbol for "Peace" and mean nothing to anyone else." He slowly raised his gaze to look into Kamina's own once more and his gaze focused slowly. The next bit was far harder for him to deal with. Him being the leader of the group. He had led before, he had even been called charismatic when he cared to try. He had taught many that had become quite strong in a short amount of time and all of his med trusted him with their lives, hell even the lives of their families several times. But he also knew he had led hundreds to their deaths in the name of a 'better future'. He was standing on a mountain of bodies, trying to not look down as blood dripped from his fingertips, no one else saw the blood or the bodies- but every step he took, every-time he grabbed anything. He felt it. He saw it. It haunted his dreams and every day life- could he keep doing that? Could he endure and continue to lead, even as men with families, loved ones, possibly died because of his orders? .. Could he handle that responsibility that his father had passed to him with his death, again? Slowly Ginjo's eyes seemed to harden as he remembered his parents. Innocents by that point, they had long ago paid for their sins- and yet had been slaughtered without mercy by the CP, and then when his teacher had tried to tell him- they had killed him as well. Slowly his teeth clenched, it was barely noticeable- and yet the body language was evident, his resolve seemed to harden as his eyes darkened slowly. Only one single phrase was given to Kamina in response to his words about being a leader, about keeping things together, taking responsibility, holding the group together and making the hard calls when no one else would want to. Yet despite it being such a simple phrase, the weight behind the words were apparent- Gin's resolve was there, and it was strong. He just had to find it, driven by hatred, by hope, by pain; it had only grown stronger. He just had to keep the drive to use it. The words were simple. ".. Very well. Then I will lead." |

Kamina took a seat on the deck, crossing his legs in front of him, and crossing his arms in front of his chest. It wasn't that he was tired standing, really, but that he decided sitting was a better alternative, and he did not readily want to move and get a proper seat; he was more used to sitting like this, anyway, so he was more than fine with having to do it at all. He stared at the other man closely as he heard his words, thinking, opting to to press him on any of the new points that came up. At least, not yet. Not directly. He wouldn't inquire further in what he caught, quickly, was the deaths of the man's partents, who had been revolutionaries in question that Kamina had spoke of. On one hand, it was likely because of Kamina had a heart of his own, and had experience the loss of almost all of his family as well. But on another hand, it was because he was already aware of these things. He had not spoken of the mistakes of revolutionaries for no reason whatsoever, and though he did not do it to hurt the other man, he certainly did it for him to understand very important points. And, to that end, Kamina felt he had done quite well. There was no further need to drag that part on, now that it had served its purpose. Kamina cleared his throat. "Alright. Good. Now that all that is out of the way, one last question; who else are you trying to recruit? You mentioned powerful, intelligent individuals, but I'm not sure what those two qualities actually entail with your selections," Kamina stated, allowing the thought to sit in his mind. He had a feeling of some of the people the man might be looking for, but that was a small scope, and he wasn't educated enough in the other super rookie, or even other individuals of power. At least, not as far as intelligence was concerned. Kamina was actually fairly skeptical of the whole thing where he was sought up, due to his reputation, or at least lack there of, to in marines that held lower ranks. Yet, this man did seek him out, and most likely for reasons that had little to actually do with his effective combat strength, so clearly he did his homework, even in regards to those who were hardly on the World Government's main concerns. Which was good, but still didn't tell the beast king much about who else Gin would be looking to recruit. Kamina offered a smile, glad that the messy parts had been taken care of. "...By the way, I have decided to consider training you. I'll start with testing your abilities at a basic level," Kamina stated, watching for any change in facial expression that told him what the other meant felt in regards to this revelation. "We'll start soon enough, once a contact of mine gets here, which, I think, should be fairly soon. I'll warn you, I've taken quite a few pupils; Leander Hastings, Zain S. Sayad, among a few others that I have helped in their own training. All of them were incapable of completing it, one losing his life because of a mixture of his impatience and...a strange take on one of my pieces of advice," he said with a sigh, though his voice was full of a cocktail of disappointment, sadness, and slight irritation. He wasn't interested in taking pupils that would either fail spectacularly in his brand of training, or go off and do something stupid with the snippets he gave them; it gave him a bad name. Or, at least, it would, if most people knew. He let loose an even deeper, dramatic sigh, before fixing the other male with a hard stare, before looking away and rubbing the back of his head with his left hand. "...The question is, friend, are you going to succeed, or will you just be another failure?" He asked casually, slightly exhausted from all of the things he had to say in such a short amount of time. He hated this part of things, where he had to talk so much, as he deeply preferred just moving along and taking action, even though he knew how important these sort of formalities were. The vast majority of the time, most people couldn't say anything to him in these discussions that he did not already expect them to, mostly because he often drove them to say such things, and he had begun to be very good at both reading and manipulating people. If he could take anything away from this, it would be that he would potentially have a pupil that would be worth his time; one he didn't have to hold the hand of in order to get them to see certain things; to break down completely and build from the ground up. This one was smart, clever, and connected. Battle theory was quite possibly second nature to him. Yet, there was that lack of confidence to deal with. Odd to see in one who possessed haki. Which, he thought, was a point he should bring up. "During the testing process, I don't want you to use haki in my presence. I will take your blade, and you will have to go through your trials without it. Don't, my friend, think I will only be testing your overall effective battle strength in this one, because that is hardly what defines what a leader does, or what one who is up against seemingly impossible odds should do," Kamina stated, smiling. "Now then, he's coming. You may want to pour him a drink, as he was pretty testy when I asked him to come out here." Edited by SvenFold, Jul 24 2015, 02:57 PM.

Ginjo slowly scratched his chin in thought; "I suppose in the end the 'intelligence' is a very general term. I want individuals whom understand business and are controllable enough by the rest of the group- as well as smart enough to not just die. The list I had mentally made was yourself, The Shichibukai Igloo's right hand and strongest member- Djazz Hyperion after meeting him, One of the stronger new rookies that is up and coming that has shown revolutionary-based actions, and an ego to match the first half of his name- Godric G. Fist, The newest Super Rookie and Revolutionary- Trevelyan D. Devereux, One of the most intelligent scientists currently in existence among the super rookies, and ally of Trevelyan- Sam Write. I have .. debated, offering Leander a position but I had hoped that you could give better advice on that front. I hear his past with alliances has been .. shaky." He took a breath after that spill, sipping the drink and slowly arching a brow at Kamina agreeing to train him and a slow smile broke over his lips- a genuine one at that. Kamina had been a goal of his for the past three years; the fact the man was willing to put in the effort to help him grow alone was a matter of an incredible boost to his self confidence even at this current level. As Kamina went on however to detail the past 'students' Ginjo's eyes slowly narrowed as he debated this information- ".. I have spent the last ten years of my life, working for a government I intend to destroy, Kamina. I am not impatient, nor am I a fool- I cannot promise I will stay with you for years training. But I can promise that I will stay as long as I can, and continue the training when I leave- and come back to continue training with you as often as I can." Slowly he leaned forward as his elbows rested on his knee's; "This training is important to me. I need to get stronger for this to work; for anyone to respect me enough for me to lead. To make this group happen. I'm not going to go get myself killed halfway through the training when I know what rides on it." His words were strong, and determined- perhaps allowing a slight glimpse into the reason that the young man had Haki; because even with his weak self confidence, his ambition and willpower, his determination- were top notch when it came to helping others and obtaining his goals. As Kamina asked if he was going to be a failure, or a success- Ginjo's lips slowly curled into a slight grin; "I guess only time can tell that .. but if I had to bet money, I'd say a success." His tone was not cocky, nor arrogant- he knew full well that he could fail the training. But he also knew that even if he failed, he wouldn't really; because he'd just get back up and keep trying anyway despite that. As Kamina laid out the rules for the training, Ginjo nodded lightly and debated this before his eyebrow arched as apparently someone important was coming; he nodded lightly as he reached over, taking another glass and pouring the whiskey into it and setting it lightly on the table nearest Kamina as he leaned back and sipped his own- looking about, curious to see just exactly whom was so important that Kamina would call them here. Not a mook likely; someone he had achieved through his connections perhaps? Though his knowledge of exactly whom could be a real worker with him was unknown to him for the most part really; he knew Kamina had allies- but none he could think of traveled with him really. |

Kamina folded his arms in front of him, nodding slowly. He listened intently, as per usual, considering the other man's words. Kamina felt...more and more enlightened as they exchanged words, the other male's intentions clear. It seemed as though he was comfortable with the terms Kamina had set for the training, and, as it was, felt the need to express his opinions fully on his possibility of success, emphasizing what he wanted more and more. Interesting, he thought, as he began to realize that not only did the man possess haki--confirmed by the man himself agreeing to the premise Kamina gave in such a way that implied he was indeed gifted with said ability--but why he possessed it, a fact that made the beast king doubt the legitimacy of his thoughts on whether or not the man was capable of it. But he was certain now, calm in the man's silent admission to the fact. Though, now that Kamina had taken the time to get to know this stranger a little better, he was certain that he had made no attempts to hide it; as if it were information that would neither hurt nor harm him, and Kamina's knowledge of it made no real difference. Which, Kamina thought, it likely hadn't, but perhaps this man also thought Kamina had already figured it out; and opinion that was not hard to make, given the restrictions Kamina had placed on the testing process. Kamina smiled, rich and deep, before he began to say his peace. "I see," He said, pausing ever so lightly in order to take into account the man's thoughts on recruitment. Out of the name's given, Kamina knew he was familiar with both a definite and a potential, and the name 'Godric' clearly caused the beast king to stop and ponder at who this was. The name was familiar, not just because of the shared last name and intial, yet Kamina could not place who it was exactly, but knew it would behoove them to meet at some point, perhaps ensuring that this man join the ranks of the organization. That is, if this man, Gin, could prove himself a worthy asset. "I know Djazz," Kamina perked up, his expression giving away nothing. He was certain the man could likely use observation haki, so pretenses were mostly useless, yet Kamina seemed to be daring the other man to try to enter his mind, almost like a test, just to see how strong his word shone. Or, more likely, to see just how far his observation could penetrate his psyche; to see what exactly he would find through probing. "We trained together not long ago. I had a good hand in the repair, combination, and reforging of his newest blade. Though, I'm sure, he did not mention our alliance to you proper," Kamina stated, a smile playing at his lips. He inclined his head towards the male. "Djazz may use the name 'Hyperion' in the public eye, but he has joined the ranks of another organization I am a part of--my family--dubbed the Golden Foundation. I doubt you haven't heard of it. To me, he is Djazz G. Fist," Kamina stated, a bright and knowing smile touching his face. "I don't know if he told you that, or if he turned down your offer, or anything like that...but if you recruit me, I wouldn't see it as anything more than easy to gain his alliance," Kamina stated, incredibly sure of himself. Him and Djazz were brothers in arms, a part of a family, united not only by name but also their unique skin color and pride as warriors. If he knew the man as well as he thought he did, he was aware that he could count on him to join, and even more so to be at his back if things became...troublesome. If anything, he was already considered recruited and a part of the bigger plan for the future, should his captain, Izuru--a friend of Kamina's--not lead him into some mess that would get the lot of them killed. He had heard some of the reckless things frosty had gotten himself into recently, possibly drunk with power, and he wasn't overly fond of the risks he was taken; Kamina did consider him a good friend, and did care about him to an extent. He had fought through hell with him once, and that was not something a warrior ever really forgot. However, that list did raise a question, which caused Kamina's lips to curl into a smirk. "And you haven't included Igloo himself in your list?" It was a question Kamina did not settle on for the answer. At least for long. He had a plethora of reasons why Igloo may just be excluded, his warlord status being one for multiple reasons, as well as his own personality. When it came to strategy, well...he was always someone who preferred flashier approaches. Instead, he moved to address the man's concerns about his other logia friend and ally. "Ah...yes. Leander is a wild card. He can be fairly unpredictable, and even more so hard to control. He's also a terror to contact," Kamina stated, raising his left hand to cup his chin, stroking his goatee with his thumb and index finger. "...However, with me on your side, he will not be a problem. We're friends and allies, despite what the news may say about all the times he gets manhandled by me...we just have an understanding of sorts. I could probably keep him in line, should you manage to get me on your side, and should you still want him by the end of this," Kamina said, before his gaze seemed to consider something else. "He may be an idiot, but he's strong, and his medical knowledge would help us in the long run. He's certainly worth considering." Kamina removed his hand from his chine, staring the other male in the eyes. "I...do not know Godric," Kamina stated, considering whether or not to put up pretenses, before deciding against it. "However...his name is familiar. People also do not generally use the name 'G. Fist' unless they are part of the family, yet there are known imposters who want to profit off a name given to many strong individuals," Despite himself, Kamina did not say this with any arrogance. He did not yet consider himself one such among these strong men, whose power could likely rival the Yonkou. He was far more aware of himself, and just how small he really was in comparison. However, in due time, he would be able to say he was one. "If me and he were to meet, I would likely have some great amount of influence on his decision to join. I make no promises, of course, as there are many variables to consider. But I'm sure you understand," Kamina stated, nodding. He did not bother to comment on the man's convictions; he would see how this would all pan out once things got started, and this man had to make tough judgement calls. He would see if he would be broken, but, more than that, if he would truly get back up. And then, a large man bounded up the ship. That is, in the 'in a single bound' sort of fashion. He landed with a hard thud, just inches from Gin, before regarding him with an expression of unimpressed disinterest. Kamina coughed, before raking his eyes over the man. And he was massive. He had to be easily over seven feet, very near eight, and his muscular body gave away what could only be assumed was tremendous physical power. His beard, thick and white, was shaved with what seemed like meticulous scrutiny, and his eyebrows were thick, his head shaved into a military-grade buzz cut, with matched his camouflage tank top, Khaki pants, and brown military boots that the legs were tucked into. He was prim and proper, obviously a military man, and his perfect posture only made the large rifle slung over his back and strapped into a brown leather harness all the more intimidating. His only blemishes were a scar bisecting both sides of his face through the left eye, and part of a much larger one that seemed to move from the top of the tank top, up his neck, just barely off from connecting to the one on his face. He looked like he was going to eat Gin. "Gin. This is former Vice Admiral Brier O'Denshi. He was highly regarded in the marines, and was honorably discharged after receiving a considerable injury in the field," Kamina stated, before the large man moved forward, his large hand wrapping around the puny cup that was sat on the table, taking it down with one large gulp. "Ha! I could have very well continued, if not for this injury's...unfortunate habit to criple me at times. Though. G. Fist, I could have very well had your body instead," The large man boomed, his voice, though he wasn't shouting, carrying easily over the large ship. "...As you keep telling me, yet I still have no idea what that means. You also keep telling me that you would have made Admiral, but I'm pretty sure that's just you stroking your ego; not like it matters now," Kamina said tauntingly, yet there was a clear lightheartedness behind it, as if these two had sparked a fairly good friendship in the past. Yet, Kamina knew that the man's claims of possibly making admiral were probably not too far off; the man was strong, even in his injured state. The man's gaze fell back on young Gin. It was clear Brier was an older man, possibly in his forties, and likely served for quite some time, packing a number of commendations under his belt, as well as notable achievements. What a man of such age and clout was doing hanging out with a super rookie and a undercover revolutionary in a situation that yelled conspiracy, it was very unclear. Gin likely had to think about it himself. Fortunately, he didn't have to think for long. "We met on an island far from here, during my time attempting to gain allies. At first, he was going to report me, but I managed to coax him into dropping it--after dropping quite a bit of beli--and from there, I have used his services to gain information of the marines, as well as...his farm," Kamina said that last part slowly, as if the idea seemed strange to him. Which, if you thought about it, it was. "I like animals," Brier perked up, emphasizing the point by pointing to his gun; obviously he didn't mean in a way that had to do with giving them a nice home. "I like to hunt, and my farm sells various types of produce that you won't find in any normal vendor's shack. Seaking meat, giant creatures not normally caught. I even come here, at times, to hunt for dinosaur meat; the rich seem to love the foreign stuff, and I'm more than happy to supply; for the right price." And with that, Kamina nodded. "I pay him well, he keeps me well stocked. And, as much as he won't admit it, I think he's grown rather fond of me," Kamina stated amusingly, staring at the large man with a smile, only to be returned with a deep glower. "In any case, I brought him for added protection, as well as a means to navigate this island proper; I'd like to know what grows here, and what lives here, as well as relative strengths," Kamina stated with a smirk, and it was obvious what he was getting at. Meanwhile, the large man merely stared menacingly at the now-empty cup he once held, as if threatening it would cause it to fill with wine or some other alcoholic beverage. Ginjo leaned forward a bit as Kamina's words slowly spilled forth, the information that he knew Djazz was not to surprising. The man had mentioned it in-passing after all; but no details had really been provided on it. Slowly he rested his chin in his palm as he blinked; "It doesn't surprise me to much to be honest .. he mentioned you, just in passing and didn't use your name- but it was fairly obvious whom he meant." He explained simply as he blinked a bit at this new information that Djazz was a member of the Golden Foundation- and his eyes seemed to glimmer just slightly. "I know the family .. I did not know Djazz was a member. Your family has been another goal of mine for many years." He admitted this without any shame, as it was true- it was a title he had been after for a very long time after all. He chuckled lightly as his elbows rested lightly on his knee's, and he nodded slowly. "I have not yet offered him a ring, because he had to leave in a hurry to meet with his crew once more. However I can get into contact with him; and intend to again once I have completed my training- I know he stated he respected me, but I did not feel I deserved that respect. Not yet. I'm not strong enough for it." His tone was not putting himself, nor annoyed- simply determined as he blinked a few times in thought- the man was impressive in every regard, and his skill with the blade was anything but 'weak'. He knew he needed to have focus, and intensive training before he would feel comfortable in any other way. Slowly he closed an eye, as Kamina brought up a question he knew would be coming and he lightly tapped his foot against the ground. "I debated the idea of Izuru. But he's to much a loose canon- and to flashy for what I want this group to be .. an ally? Yes I could see that. But a member I couldn't, I think that having Djazz as a member and having him talk for Izuru through his position along with his own opinions is the safer route. I respect Igloo, but I cannot trust him- both from knowledge I've gathered over time as well as the stories that everyone knows regarding his past .. and of course how he tends to handle situations. Smash." He added the last bit drlyly, but not in a distasteful tone. As the dicussion came to Leander, he nodded and listened intently- as he kenw just how great a boone the doctor could be; but he also knew how much a 'wildcard' as Kamina put him he could be. Slowly he nodded, as if coming to the same agreement with Kamina- "If you beleive that with you in the group as well you could help keep in 'in line' so to speak- then I would include him in the group. His medical Genius, as well as his own blackmarket connections combined with my own and yours could give us an incredible edge when it comes to information gathering and locating the best targets to hit with the government." He slowly leaned down as he tapped his foot in thought and blinked as Kamina did not seem to know of Godric and he nodded a bit. He crossed his arms over his chest slowly; "I do not know him personally just yet; however his actions point him toward being more of a revolutionary than a pirate really. His current bounty is fifty six million, one hundred thousand Beli. He's not quite to the point of being a true 'super rookie' at a hundred million but its still substantial- and it's been said he's eaten a very rare Devil Fruit; of the Mythical variety." He explained this simply as he continued; "The only possible downside is his arrogance, but from the reports it does not seem to be the point that it would cause problems, just be an annoyance occasionally as a personality quirk." He chuckled at the fact that Kamina likely held alot of sway over the man and nodded in agreement; "In all likelihood, yes. I don't beleive he is a 'fake' as you put it." Ginjo shifted his weight so as to not fall when the large man slammed into his deck- and to his credit he didn't even flinch from the large man's gaze. He met the man's eyes with his own respectfully, and as he heard the man's title and rank he nodded- slowly inclinding his head in respect to the man before raising his head back up. "A pleasure to meet you, Mr. O'Denshi." He stated in a firm, but calm tone- before the man's words made his eyes narrow slightly. He had a vague idea of what the man spoke of- but it had not been clarified, his rank gave him access to whispers, rumors, nothing more. Still- a Vice Admiral speaking of it made it much more realistic, so the rumors were true? Slowly he smirked, it was worth noting for a future reason. Still, he had to wonder why exactly Kamina was hanging out with an X-Vice Admiral; luckily the answer came shortly after his mind began to race through the reasons and options for such a thing. Slowly he arched a brow and nodded lightly at the comment about 'liking animals' and why they were in fact, together. "I see .. makes much more sense in that case." He pondered in thought before he slowly tilted his head, "Seaking ..?" He pondered as a side- thought, and a light smirk spread over his lips. "I'll have to keep your name in mind, Mr. O'Denshi .. some of what you sell may very well be valuable or a few of my idea's for the future." He let it be at that however, he was not here to do financial business after all he was here to work with his actual strength and training. Slowly he nodded as he showed he understood exactly what Kamina had him for- and noting the large man's glare he chuckled and raised a hand. "A moment." he would move to the same cupboard- before taking out a much large bottle and cup- though the cup looked suspiciously like it had been intended as a pitcher, it worked just fine for a cup for such a large man. He filled it, and offered the much more likely comfortably-sized drink to the man before sitting down, and pouring himself a new cup as he leaned forward and slowly focused on Kamina. "I know of a few species here as far as the plants go, as well as many of the animals- however I doubt I have knowledge like Mr. O'Denshi- I can feel how strong this island is though." He murmured as his gaze slid toward the island slowly, the strongest of the dinosaurs were ever stronger than he was; and many were as strong as he. |
