Ginjo patiently sat at his desk, it seemed to of become a habit for him by now really. Constantly he was here, and it was getting a bit to annoying for him- the last of the pirates and revolutionaries were cleaned up. Hell, most of the Island was perfectly safe nowadays after he had spent so many months dedicated to keeping the place safe and hospitable. Slowly he crossed his ankles as he leaned forward- quietly debating his options as he tapped his foot, before his eyes settled on the stack of paperwork. Sighing, his hand slid out and he grasped it, most of it was pointless to him- he didn't really care to much. Basic sign, stamp, and move on.

However two specific articles caught his eye, the first was on a new Marine that had potential that was being sent to him. It seemed that happened alot; a new marine had potential so they went to Ginjo- probably because the last four he had trained had rapidly grown in strength. The issue of course- was that training was not a delicate process, few would survive training with Ginjo nowadays, they knew he was getting rougher. So that meant that they were more certain this one would survive the training, right? Slowly he tapped his foot, before he straitened up and took a long puff of his cigar, setting the paper to the side for future note. Apparently he should be arriving today- he supposed he'd get to find out soon enough in that case.

The next article that got his attention was the main issue- the Jailbreaks had failed on this island but had succeeded on two others, and another island in the blues. That bastard Jellal was rapidly starting to get a formidable force of X-Pirates and Bandits to serve under him, along with his own powers it was becoming apparent he was going to get out of hand quickly if they didn't do something about it. Sighing he shook his head and took a sip of his glass of whiskey, and placed the papers to the side- making a mental note to go down and get another round of information gathering from the Commander of their Crew that they captured before- later though. His haki twitched as he felt a new presence enter the marine building, and head toward his office.

A visitor? Was it the trainee, or someone else ..?

Djazz had a long journey to get to where he was with Kamina to here... From the island where he trained with the G. Fist to here, he had taken a simply fishing ship to what he planned to be the next island. However, and ironically enough, the fishing ship was attacked by a sea king. Djazz managed to slay the fish but not before the sea king had managed to destroy the fishing vessel. He had been floating at sea for three days before being spotted by a marine vessel that rescued him. At the time he was rather dehydrated, but had managed to keep some of the meat of the sea king. Jerking it and drying it in the sun, he at least had something to eat until he was eventually picked up from sea.

Djazz was thankful, but it wasn't too long until they realized that the swordsman had a bounty on his head. A mere 30,000,000 million beli was hardly impressive for the likes of an individual in the Grandline but was hardly something they could over look. Luckily too for Djazz, he could simply announce that he was the subordinate of Izuru the warlord and explain that he had amnesty as a result. It was a story that they were suspicious about, but at the same time, was enough to keep the marines from becoming hostile. They treated him minimalistically but were at least willing to give him a bunk, food and water for the week that they remained at sea...

"Alright, we're here..."

"Where is... here?"

"Cactus Island. Let's move it."

Cactus Island!? Could they really have been traveling long enough to have displaced him so far from where he was originally? Djazz was shocked at first, though the reality of the situation slowly settled in. He wanted to eventually be closer to Izuru, not further away, but if this were truly a marine outpost that he was being taken to, then he could most likely not only find out where Izuru was but also find a more direct route to getting there. Of course, the marines were never too keen on working with those they considered to be criminals or pirates, but everyone had their price, and it wasn't always money.

Djazz had been nothing but patient and cooperative with the marines since they had picked him up. They wanted to confirm his status as a subordinate of Izuru, and he had a feeling that when they caught wind of their exploits in the Florian Triangle, that he would be able to prove his legitimacy. He allowed them to shackle this hands together for the time being, but only insisted that they didn't touch his sword. Thus, Djazz, sword on his hip yet arms shackled, walked from the ship and on to Cactus Island; his first visit to this island...

From the ship and to the outpost, he was taken to one of the higher in commands on this island. Apparently, the ship was in bound to Cactus Island in the first place and they certainly weren't going to make a stop for a pirate, thus, in spite of being half way across the grandline, he was still under the Cactus Island jurisdiction.

Escorted down the hall by two individuals at his side and few others behind him, with rifles primed should he try anything devious, he was taken to an office; the sliding wooden door opened to find a single man sitting at a desk.

"C-commander, we found this pirate... 30,000,000 million beli. He came willingly.. claims to be the subordinate of a Warlord. W-what should we do with him?"

"Yo. Djazz Hyperion. Nice to meet you." He said in a coy yet friendly tone.

Ginjo's eyes trailed upward as he felt the presence continue to grow near; there were several others however they are not quite as .. formed. His normal soldiers likely. His eyes trailed along his papers as he carefully clicked them against the desk and formed them together neatly- setting them to the side as he sipped from the glass of ice and whiskey, taking his cigar between his fingers as he leaned back- and waited. Finally the clink of the door opening filled the air, revealing the rather dark office; Gin had it lit with only a simple lamp in the corner as the dark skinned young man eyed the officers and the taller man- Djazz Hyperion? Ginjo's eyes narrowed as he motioned them off. "Unclasp him. Then I want all of you and the crew you were with to go down to the Library and read up on all current Shichibukai. I would understand a mook of Igloo's- but not knowing of his strongest members of his crew, as a Marine stationed in the Grand Line is unacceptable."

He watched the men wilt a bit under his gaze, before he sighed and slowly closed his eyes. "Then go get rest. I'll have your next assignment for you in three days." This seemed to brighten them- three days meant one day to drink; one to recover, and the next to prepare for their new assignment. He watched as Djazz had his shackles removed and motioned toward one of the two leather chairs as he crossed his ankles lightly and leaned back. "Ginjo Xoi, a pleasure to meet you- Mr. Hyperion. Though I am unsure how you ended up all the way back here at Cactus Island .. the last reports put your crew heading toward the end of Paradise." He pondered with an arched brow as the marines took their leave and left the man in their commander's care.

Slowly he leaned forward and intertwined his fingers as he arched a brow- "That however is none of my business. What do you require of me?" He asked this simply; as yes he could simply need a ride back to his Captain; or it could be far more complicated then just that. He figured it was easier to simply ask then try to deduce all the possibilities the right hand of a powerful Shichibukai would be all the way at the beginning of the Grand Line. He also raised a second glass and the Whiskey in offering to the man; "Apologies as well for my subordinates. I try to ensure they are well informed but .. I cannot baby sit all of them. At least they didn't try to attack you and get themselves killed." He commented dryly with a shake of his head.

Djazz was in part expecting some manner of marine hard ass to be here waiting in this office. He wasn't exactly sure how things were going to play out but knew that his status as a member of a warlord crew granted him some manner of amnesty. This was really the first time he had pulled the 'warlord' card, but desperate times called for desperate measures and he didn't necessarily care how he did it, but it wasn't like he could just... cut his way back to the Florian triangle... could he?

Without a proper ship he couldn't simply sail himself and thus, perhaps calling on the aid of the marines was necessary in this situation. In spite of the many scuffles he had with marines in the past he had no grudge against them as an organization. In fact, his only goals were to kill the man that killed his father, currently a Vice-Admiral of the marines in the New World, and to ultimately become the greatest swordsman in the world. Once his business was carried out, he didn't have any further business with the marines. Luckily, Djazz was surprise that things went far more fortunately than first expected. This had been happening a lot lately! He had usually been used to bad luck and misfortune, but ever sense training with his new sword he had seen a number of things go his way. Perhaps his new weapon was more of good luck charm than first anticipated.

It seemed as though he was known by this marine Commander, which came as a surprise to Djazz as he had been trying his hardest to stay under the radar. Though, after their exploits on that giant ship in the middle of the Florian Triangle, and being part of Izuru's crew in general, it was hard not to have someone's eyes on you. Comical too that he was referred to as Izuru's strongest member. He had never thought about it like that, but was immediately curious that if it ever came to a battle between members of the crew who would ultimately come out on top...

Djazz cautiously remained still as the men uncuffed him and were dismissed. Apparently his data was up to date, as he was correct that Izuru was headed to towards the end of the grandline. The man went on to not only apologies for his subordinates but also to offer some manner of assistance; things Djazz was not expecting to here, "Well, I must say it's a bit refreshing to have a marine not trying to shove a rifle down my throat or barking commands at me. A pleasure to meet you as well Commander Xoi." He said, not exactly used to being called 'Mister' at any point. In truth, Djazz preferred the pleasantries that came with well mannered people.

"To explain my current situation... my original sword was broken beyond repair and after claiming a new one I set off for some personal time to hone my skills with a new blade. But, as you can imagine, traveling the Grandline isn't often as simple as one would hope, and my ferry got caught in a storm. I was scooped up by your men and they brought me here." he said, explaining exactly how he ended up here, at least, the short version of the story. Clasping the glass of liquid from the man, he raised it to his nose, sniffing inaudibly to waft the smell of alcohol. He was no expert when it came to spirits and so he wouldn't realize that it was Whiskey. He thought to hand the cup back to the man as he wasn't much of a drinker either, but thought it may be better to simply accept the mans offering.

The little nagging voice in the back of his head whispered that it might have been poisoned, but Djazz promptly ignored; taking a sip anyway.

As the bite of whiskey graced his senses, he quickly continued, "Not to worry, your men worked well within their limits as enforcers of... justice. Even after discovering my bounty they acted fairly." he said, giving some credit where credit was due. He had heard of stories of marines treating their prisoners with cruelty and warlord subordinate or not, they had not done so with him. "I suppose getting to business... you're right, I wish to return to Izuru's flagship, but don't have the means of getting there. It's a bit odd for a man titled pirate to ask the marines for a favor, but I need a proper ferry back to his ship." he paused for a moment,"Of course, I am not asking freely. I'll pay my way. As a hired hand of the world government, you have me and my blade to assist you in whatever way possible, Commander Xio. What's the saying... you scratch my back, I scratch yours?"

In summary, Djazz needed a ride and the marines had plenty of ships and water ways at their disposal. They also knew relatively where Izuru was thanks to their intelligence and in spite of being far off course could make way for Djazz. In return, he would be willing to help the marines out with whatever they needed in the mean time

Ginjo's lips slowly curled in a look of distaste at the comment about a rifle being shoved down the pirates throat- "Unlike most I understand the strength of having Pirate ally's. Trust is a very flexible word- just because I wouldn't tell you my personal secrets doesn't mean I shouldn't trust you to get a job done for instance. Sadly- most marines cannot make this distinction- it's imbecilic." He slowly leaned back as he took a slow drag on the cigar hanging from his lips as he listened to the young man speak of what he needed of him- it was slowly becoming apparent it was much as he had assumed. His eyes slowly closed as he pondered quietly to himself- the pirate's full strength was unknown to even the marines- they knew he was strong; and fast, and that he used a sword. But beyond that the details only went to the higher ranked individuals.

Even with his connections it was rather difficult for such, still- even that should be enough if he was as strong and fast as the reports placed him. That meant he could certainly use the man's assistance- along with that of course there was his own desire to meet with the man's captain. Slowly he opened his gaze; nodding lightly at the words of the dark skinned fellow swordsman- the story on how he ended up back here made sense; it happened quite often sadly enough. People always underestimated the sea- especially in the Grand Line where weather and the sea could change faster than the opinion of a rich snob. "Honestly if you're ship sank in the middle of the Grand Line- the fact you survived long enough to be picked up along impresses me." He commented idly before he slowly put the cigar out and placed it on the desk.

As the man stated his men at least treated him to some degree, properly he nodded and sighed. "That at least, is a relief. I'd rather I not loose my soldiers because of their own stupidity and ignorance of their own allies." Shaking his head, Ginjo arched a brow at the final information given- the 'true business' so to speak. Slowly he tapped his thumb against his glass as he considered this offering for a few slow moments- before he took a sip from it and lightly wheeled his chair a bit backward, opening one of his filing cabinets and after a bit of sorting, locating the 'J' section and so forth- he took a slim file out and moved back. He placed the file down, on the outside simply holding the title of "Jailbreak Pirates". He then set the glass down and intertwined his fingers in front of his face.

He slowly leaned back into the chair as he debated the best wording before he slowly took a breath. ".. Here is my offer. You can assist me with a certain situation regarding a pirate fleet and growing crime organization- hone your skills along the way, earn points with the government, take out a future competitor for your crew .. and possibly give me a chance for an extra offer from myself." He slowly straitened as he eyed him- "The fleet is scattered across the Grand Line along this route- as we deal with the problem you will get closer and closer to Igloo. As well of course as having marine backup and protection during the assignment." Ginjo's blue eyes watched the man quietly- waiting for his own counter offer; or agreement to the simple deal; by helping each other- they also help themselves. Everyone won- though it was leaned in Ginjo's favor; it would still likely pay off for the pirate as well.

Djazz listened to Xio's proposition closely. What he offered was something that he would actually be able to help with, namely the elimination of some criminals that formed their own' fleet' throughout the grandline. This came as no surprise to Djazz, as something similar has been attempted on multiple occasions. The weak tried to improve their strength not by increasing their ability, but rather, but multiplying in number. As a result, it wasn't uncommon to see massive crews or even fleets, dedicated to a single cause when not one of their members were considered strong enough to tackle the grand line alone; though, not many were to begin with.

However, it seemed as though Xio had it in mind that they would be doing this on a more long term basis; as he said 'inching closer and closer to Izuru while they took out the fleet. That being said, Djazz was hoping for something more direct. he didn't want to develop a reputation as a pirate hunter, and the longer he stuck around with the marines, the more information the marines would have on him. He wasn't naïve enough to think that their weren't eyes on him, even if this Xio fellow seemed rather lax for marines standards. The fact that he mentioned that he was understanding of having pirates, criminals, as ally was surprising to him. Most marines were much more strict about their ideals of justice.

Either way, Djazz wanted to make sure to assert himself here before things got messy down the line, "Sure. Sounds like something we would be up for," we referring to not only himself but his sword as well, "Though, I was thinking something a little more... short term. I know the marines have navigated these seas and have ways of traveling more or less freely through the grand line. I don't much intend to be hopping from one island to another as though from scratch. Perhaps we'll start with the more local threat while you organize the ferry and work from there, ehh?" he said. Unlike previous encounters, he wasn't about to make this relationship with the marines an on going thing. While he had no grudge against them, neither were they in his favor. The point of joining the crew of a warlord was so that his amnesty status would keep the marines out of his hair, but he wasn't too keen on a long term volunteering position with him. Funny enough, Izuru had even fought against individuals from the world government since he had joined and somehow remained a warlord, insisting that their compliance was hardly necessary. Needless to say, earning points with the government was lowest on his list of priorities, "Nothing person of course, I just have schedules to stick to and I prefer to be prompt." He said with a coy smile.

He debated the offer of the man quietly, seeming to not mind taking his time for his decisions as he sipped at the whiskey and leaned back- looking at the ceiling as he debated the options carefully. The man wanted a single favor for another; which was fine- he would take what help he could get in this situation. The Jailbreaks were doing just that and it was causing him alot of grief; as well as the marines in general. Slowly he tapped his foot before he let his gaze lower from the ceiling to the man's visage once more- and nodded slowly. "Getting a trip, a 'ferry' as you say from here to the next island is not near as simple as you make it out to be. However it is possible."

He explained the next bit with a calm tone; "I'll have to call in a few favors to deter a patrol ship for the Grand Line to make a stop here and then another stop at the end of the Line. I can do this for you; but I expect more then just a single assistance as compensation .. favors with high ranking marines are not easy to obtain." He raised a finger slowly; "Help me with the local issues, and give me your word- as a Swordsman, that when I call for the main threat- or another big threat I cannot handle alone that you will come and help. Or something of similar value for the favor. Agree to that; and we have a deal." The counter-proposal was fair in his eyes, a favor of the right hand of a Shichibukai in return for a favor of a Marine Rear Admiral.

Waiting for the answer, Ginjo would wait until the man seemed to make his decision- taking several specific papers out as he placed them down on the table- a map of the Island and the surrounding ocean to begin with. Followed by a picture of a young woman with the name of 'Linda Silvers' whom was worth eighty million before her jailing; her current power unknown. The next being two papers of her lieutenants whom were worth thirty million and fifty million as he glanced at the man; "These are the current targets- they have made a base on a cove here on my island intending to try and crack the islands jail open again. They tried earlier but underestimated my defense. What do you say, Mr. Hyperion ..? Feel up too it?"

There was also of course a final paper that was off to the side he had set away since with the new deal it no longer counted for Ginjo really or Djazz, however it was was glanced at it had the Bounty of two hundred million with the name of "Jay L. Breaker" the captain of the fleet whom unlike the rest of his crew did not wear an old jail uniform but instead a fur lined coat and suit. All the others seemed to wear their old jail uniforms altered, such as ripped sleeves, or a scarf added to it, and so forth- as if taking pride in the fact that they had once been jailed. It annoyed Ginjo- that was probably why they did it; just to piss the marines off in all likelihood- sadly it was working. He made a face and focused on Djazz once more; offering his right hand for a shake on the deal. Asking for signatures or paperwork was a waste of time.

He didn't exactly intend for their discussion to become something of a negotiation but that was exactly what it felt like. Either way, the mans terms were fair to some extent; help him with the local riff raff and make an appearance to handle any big baddies along the way. Come to think of it, this felt quite similar to another contract he had signed with one, Kamina G. Fist when he agreed to the terms of his Golden Foundation... At this rate he would have to get his own ship in order to keep up with all the side questing he could potentially be doing, "Alright... I imagine that wouldn't be a problem." he said. He also paused for a moment to think of what kind of an individual would be more than what a Commander in the marines would be able to handle. He had went up against a few baddies in the past who were pretty impressive, but none that he himself couldn't put down. It was awfully humble of the man to admit that he too had opponents he couldn't yet defeat, and modest that he ask for help, even if it were in an opportune way. Djazz came to appreciate this as the man lay out a number of bounty sheets.

These were most likely the individuals what they would have to tango with in the near future, and just as he assumed, Commander Xio explained that this was the local threat and her enforcers. Generally, bounty was a fair assessment of how dangerous a person was. He was also aware that it was quite rare for an individual on this side of the grandline to have a bounty near or over 100million, and so for this woman to have an out of date bounty of 80million, it insisted that she was quite a priority for the marines to capture. Of course, this was until he noted the 'Jay L. Breaker's bounty sheet that was cast aside. Jay, with a bounty of 200million, was quite impressive. It caught Djazz's eyes and immediately he thought of individuals like Kamina, a man with overwhelming strength and speed with a similar bounty, and Izuru himself whose bounty was frozen at 200mil before becoming a warlord. For this side of the grandline, that man was quite a threat, and most likely the brains of the operation.

With all that had been going on, what with a Yonko on this side of the grandline and criminals, pirates and revolutions alike running rampant, it was likely that fungus like this sprung up while the marines were spread thin. He was surprised they hadn't already enlisted Izuru... though now that he thought about it, they did try and Izuru spit in their face by slaughtering the world governments representatives...

Seeing as though Xio didn't bring up this 'Jay' guy, Djazz decided not to bring it up. While he was curious, he often found that asking too many questions only led to further curiosity. If he needed to know, he would find out. After explaining, Xio asked if Djazz was up for it, and extended his hand as though it were the final offer. While he wanted some confirmation that his ferry would indeed be contracted, he didn't want to push the subject. Oddly enough, Xio had insisted that he promise 'as a swordsman', though such a promise went both ways. If he shook the mans hand, it meant that Xio would have his own end of the bargain to uphold, and if not, Djazz would be within his rights to punish him by blade.

Extending his arm he held out not a hand to shake but rather, a fist. Though it was a cultural thing, agreements were not made with open palms by his people, but with closed fists; a sign of strength of spirit and convictions in ones words, "I can dig it. When do we start Commander Xio?" he said, still not completely used to being called 'Mr. Hyperion'.

Ginjo watched quietly as Djazz considered the counter-proposal, and eventually agreed. That was enough for him really- and as the man raised a fist; Ginjo surprisingly smoothly transitioned from a handshake to a fist-bump as if it was natural. Even if he had been brought up by his teacher to be cultured and "well to do" his roots stemmed from pirates that solved their issues with spars, boxing, or sealed deals not with words or writing but punches. The bump of fist to fist signaled far more to him than a simple handshake- and it caused a subtle change in the "marines" posture to almost appear looser, calmer- as if the bump was far more natural to him. Still, such minor changes in body language were barely notable as he lowered his fist and nodded once. "Then we're set." He nodded at the question and carefully tapped the map itself.

"The cove is well positioned, the woman is not an idiot. She's chosen a location that we can only attack from two locations- the open sea, or the tunnels." He stated simply as he eyed the layout. ".. Normally at least; this is a huge issue. The tunnels are to tight packed for us to really 'invade' and they have heavy artillery. The ocean is an even worse idea- heavy artillery on the cove and their own boat in all likelihood would tear standard marine vessels to bits before we could even get close." His eyes traveled to the small lines that showed the tunnels and made a face; "However." His eyes slowly traveled to Djazz, "That blade of yours isn't just for show. I don't know just how much you can cut- but I'm likely weaker than you by quite a bit and I can slice Titanium ... I imagine the roof of a Cove of simple stone isn't to big an issue for you?"

A slow smirk played at his lips- it did two things, an attempt to get Djazz to show him a mere glimpse of the man's skill. But this was not for the reasons most marines wanted to have information on the Shichibukai and their crew- Ginjo couldn't care less about politics. No. He wanted to see first hand just how strong Izuru's crew was- and if Izuru was worthy of being the first man he offered one of his rings in his chest too. Still; there was also the main benefit that it meant his men were not ripped to shreds before they could even begin. Ginjo closed his eyes as he examined the map- "If you can make an opening for us into the cave that surrounds the cove, I can neutralize the normal crew instantly. Only her lieutenants and her will be left- and they should be quite a bit weakened."

His explanation was short- he had no need to tell the man how he intended to do this; perhaps a poison cloud or something more. "If you think you can help us deal with the main threat- my men can back you up with suppression fire; if you prefer to fight alone I understand that as well. I can likely deal with the two lieutenants- they are likely not even close to her power but I refuse to underestimate opponents. Especially those whom have been jailed for so many years and their true power is completely unknown by today's standards." He leaned back and looked at the young man carefully, curious on his own thoughts. "That said- my plans are hardly foolproof. You are likely more experienced, so if you have a better idea- by all means." He motioned as if to say to bring up any points he thought of.

Djazz leaned over the table, eyes looking over the map Commander Xio had provided and followed along with his narrative. His logic seemed sound as far as both a tunnel and water route being difficult ways of approaching an attack, though Djazz himself was curious; if the tunnels were so tight and the water way just an ambush, how was Linda Silvers supposed to mobilize a jail break? Apparently they had already failed once before and even if she wasn't a dummy, it would be foolhardy to believe that Linda could get away with it a second time now that the marines were sure she was coming. Not only that, but they knew exactly where she was stationed! Marines could simply wait at each exit from the cove patiently and ambush anything that came out. While it was a patient approach, they needed to eat at some point right? Artillery or not, he doubted they had resources to sustain them for too much longer...

Either way, it wasn't his place to strategize, and with the fair advantage sitting in the hands of the marines, attacking them directly could very much flush them out. While he insured that an attack from a third entrance could incapacitate the 'normal crew', he would also anticipate that some could use the chaos to escape. As Djazz began to formulate his own ideas, he wanted to pay careful consideration to what the Commander had put on the table. He didn't want to step on his command or over assert himself in a situation where another person was in charge. Not only that, but among the marines, Djazz has no real authority. At the end of the day it was him calling the shots and as they say, too many cooks in the kitchen makes for a sour meal.

"So let me summarize just to make sure I've got it straight. Entrance A and B here are the current only methods of approaching the cove hide out, but both would be too risky or cumbersome to attempt an invasion... so making a third Entrance through the roof gives something of an element of surprise, and ease of access that would allow for your marines to have an advantage in the fight, leaving the few in their ranks that are in command to us." He said, pausing for a moment to make sure that he understood for the most part what he was suggesting. For some reason Djazz felt uneasy about the plan, and while it was a fair one, it still seemed to carry an element of risk about it that he wouldn't feel comfortable exposing his own mooks to (if he had any...).

Xio did open up the floor to suggestions, and so, Djazz stood up straight, closing his eyes for a moment and bringing his right hand to his chin. After a few thoughtful moments he spoke, "Alright, so when I was a boy, whenever we wanted to catch a rabbit we would first chase it back to it's hole. It seems you're men have already done that. In this case, the hole is the Cove. Rabbit holes always have two sides. Reach into one side and it will escape out the other. The hole may even be too deep for you to reach at all but..." he said pausing, making sure that Xio was following. He has a metaphoric way of explaining things in many cases and it wasn't hard to lose others in his narrative; especially people like Izuru who didn't really like the idea of plans, neither did he keep to them when they were made.

"If you have two people, one sits at one side of the hole while the other creates a fire. You blow smoke into the hole and the rabbit runs out the other end, right into the net of your waiting partner. It practically catches itself." He said, nodding as though agreeing with his own explanation.

This is merely a suggestion, but perhaps we can do just that. Create the hole in the ceiling and blow 'smoke' into the cove. That can be literal smoke, explosive, gun fire, whatever resource your marine forces has that would be fit for the job. Make the cove inhospitable. The criminals will be disoriented, attempt to flee and when they do, they will run out of the tunnels, or take to see. Your own artillery can wait on the beach to sink and fleeing ships, and your infantry can wait at the mouth of the tunnel to apprehend any who run on foot." he said, using the map as a prop to point to those areas too as he explained. Again, he was just fine doing it the other way or any other way for that matter. For as long as he was keeping his word, he didn't mind how they went about doing it, "That only leaves us to clean up their leaders...

But that was merely an idea. He didn't know what resources Xio had, neither did he know the scope and size of the jail broken prisoners. It might have been that the forces were too large for a somewhat indirect approach, but ultimately that was the knowledge and expertise that Xio brought to the table as the individual responsible for all of this at the end of the day.

Ginjo was surprisingly intent, unlike many marines of his rank or higher he was fully aware no plan was perfect- even if the original creator felt such. He leaned back slowly in thought as he debated the options that were laid out, before slowly he raised a hand and took his chin in thought- the plan that was offered was workable. The metaphor sound- though Djazz was unaware of a keen advantage they had that allowed his to be a bit more superior, he debated revealing that to a pirate- but then shrugged. It was no secret after all. "Normally, I would agree with your own plan actually. However there is a bit of a misunderstanding regarding mine .. the shock of the roof caving in was not so my troops could storm them."

A slow smirk played at his lips, "It was so that me and you could go in alone while my men covered both escape routes. The crew that she has will not effect us- they will be unconscious as soon as I enter the field, leaving only the lieutenants and her to be dealt with. They will surely try to simply fight us off if they have any measure of intelligence and realize my troops will have both exits surrounded. With us chasing them and the troops in front of them they would likely realize the only option is defeating us so that they loose their main 'powerhouses' so to speak." He murmured in thought, nodding a bit. ".. If I could not perform Kings Haki, I would agree entirely to your own. However I think mine will cause the least amount of causalities- the shock of the cave in will give me the perfect opportunity to use it."

He slowly rose up as he blinked; "That said- my men found them and cornered them to their cove. But its a bit of a stalemate; they cannot go in and the pirates cannot escape. Have you eaten or had anything to drink? I'm unsure just how well my men treated you." He stated drly- he was not the type of man to just ask a ally, a new one at that, to go and cut a cove to bits if he had not had anything to eat and drink. That was just rude. "I'll also of course get a temporary room here set for you, and pull my favors to get the ferry to stop here and take you up the Grand Line." He explained with a reassuring tone- making it clear he intended to uphold his own side of the bargain, he was a man of his word- swordsman or not.

His hand reached out- grasping the elegant Katana, and carefully drawing it. He carefully held it with a leather glove so his skin did not touch the steel, knowing it could ruin the blade to do such things to it- measuring its polish, edge, and eying the slots. Making a mental note he needed to refill the dials within it as he slowly sheathed it and slid it onto his back as he dusted himself off and examined him; "As well. Before we head out- along with your meal and such, I need to make a stop by my lab. Ryuu needs to be refilled before I go and start charging into a fight." He explained simply as he tucked his hands into his pockets, leaving the marine overcoat on his chair- it would just get in his way in a fight after all.

Commander Xio took his time to reflect on Djazz's suggestions, but like the punchline of a good joke, it seemed as though Xio had much more in mind than he led on! His original plan seemed honestly a bit rushed and little details like exactly how he planned to dispatch of whatever mooks were in the cove. However, when he mentioned the use of King's haki, Djazz's eye brow couldn't help but raise in interest. He had never seen it first hand, but did know that the Sovereign of Stronghold Island could use it. The few rumors he heard about it was that it was an ability that allowed one to forcedly oppress another person with the power of their will. Those who were not strong enough would collapse from the pressure before they even had the opportunity to fight.

The seas always had a way of surprising him, and a Commander in the marines having the ability to use something as rare as the conqueror's haki wasn't something he expected. Luckily for him he would be able to fight on the same side as someone who could use such an ability and see it first hand instead of having his first field experience with such an ability be when it was used against him... While he had experiencing using the power of ones will for physical enhancement and sharpening perception, it seemed completely supernatural for one to be able to defeat someone without even touching them.

His smile turned to a short laugh, "Well you could have just lead with that little detail. If that's the case, then you're plan should suffice." He said, once again only mildly invested in his own input. He also liked the idea of not getting any of the marine mooks involved. It was most likely that these were just innocent fellows following orders and only inconsequently did they share the same ideals of justice as their figure heads. Granted, their passivity in accepting these views was their responsibility, but just because they chose a different path (or let other choose for them) did not mean that he should bare some sort of ill will towards anyone who wore the uniform.

Adding to the comedy, it seemed as though Commander Xio was reading his mind. While Djazz had keen self control and his physical form was quite sturdy, the moment Xio mentioned food, his stomach growled out hungrily, "Ha! They did manage to feed me, but a prisoner's rations is hardly fuel enough to ambush criminals with. Perhaps a meal will do me some good?" He said. He was mildly surprised that it seemed as though Xio was quite prepared to start as soon as possible, barring the refilling of 'Ryu', whatever that was. He assumed that he had granted his own sword the name, but what kind of sword needed to be filled with something in order to be effective? He imagined that he would find out soon enough...

Perhaps it was a matter of coincidence that he had showed up in such a timely way, and more so, that he showed up in time to have leverage for the 'favor' he was asking of the marines. So far his new good luck charm was continuing to pay back his investment in dividends! Between having his needs met, being provided shelter, and allowed a meal as well, he was finding the marines hospitality far too comforting! A man could get used to such spoilage.

He could only hope that his fortune wouldn't run out any time soon...

Ginjo chuckled softly and nodded lightly at the mention of the detail of his plan, "Apologies. To me it is like mentioning 'oh I have a sword'. My commanding officers had a similar reaction- but more annoyed." He shrugged, to him his Haki was just another weapon in his arsenal- it was hardly worth mentioning as much as his sword, or techniques, or anything really. Moving forward, he chuckled lightly at the rumbling stomach of the Pirate- it seems his intuition had indeed been correct and it paid off in a way. With a nod he would motion for the swordsman to follow, closing the door behind them before moving forward and heading down the long white hallway- simply nodding an at east to the officers that saluted as he passed.

"A good meal also sounds good .. though I doubt I'll need as much as you if you got only prisoners rations." He commented idly as he eventually lead toward the end of the hall where he pushed open a set of doors and entered into what appeared to be a mostly empty mess hall; there were of course a few tables with some marines that offered off-duty salutes to the commander. However for the most part it was quiet, and Ginjo moved toward the end room where the window into the kitchens was evident, knocking on the glass as the young man's head peaked out with a blink from the steam and a grin split his face. "What can I get yah' Commander?"

Ginjo simply smiled; "Afternoon, Watsky. A platter for me- the usual. A buffet for one as well." He stated as an addition, motioning lightly toward Djazz- the young man nodded a few times, adding it to the commanders tab before pointing toward a buffet line to the side with plates and so forth. "Help yer'self buddy!" he stated cheerfully- before dashing into the steam-cloud to prepare Ginjo's own order, the commander leaning against the wall patiently as he crossed his arms. "No massive rush; the stalemate will last while they try to think up options as well after all. But once we eat and I get Ryu done we should probably head out- unless you need sleep; which I can understand."

His words were calm and considerate, measuring the man's stamina as he didn't know his current physical condition after all. However that aside he retained his focus as he let Djazz get whatever he wanted from the buffet line and was handed a platter that held a steak, potatoes, green beans and so forth that he took over to an empty table. Sitting back as he began; not really worried about waiting on Djazz as they would both likely eat at their own paces. The buffet had seemed like the simplest solution- that way the man could eat as much as he wanted; and of whatever he wanted really. That in mind he would sit down and after he had a few bites and Djazz had sat down as well a question was curious; "So you can in fact cut the cave in half then ..?" He pondered arching a brow- he was curious of the man's strength.

Of course he also did not want to tred on toes, it was a fine line between making idle chatter as they ate about casual combat abilities that weren't meant to be secret- and treading over it and seeming a bit 'to' interested in such things. Ginjo after all, was not- Djazz however was the first swordsman he had met that was of a higher caliber than himself- it was natural to be curious about the differences in styles, technique, and strength as a whole. After all- few even took the time to perform the alterations that he had to his blade; he doubted that the man had the same kind of style as himself- and that meant he could learn a few things by watching a superior swordsman at work.

Djazz's personal paranoia was starting to get the better of him as things started to seem a bit too convenient. He made sure to keep keen attention on any mal intent that might have lingered in the mans words or agenda, but from what he could figure, none existed. Besides just the coincidence and convenience of having a strong ally for an upcoming conflict, it seemed there wasn't anything innately devious about his actions. Then what was it that had Djazz's six sense that had him doubting this character (more of a street sense than observational haki six sense, mind you)? Perhaps it was because he had had far too more negative experiences with marines than positive ones and was simply conditioned to be more cautious around them. He would continue to keep check of his gut instinct as he followed Commander Xio down to a cafeteria.

As he paid, Djazz scanned down the line of the few individuals who were there also getting lunch. He wanted to watch and see where they were taking food from, and how they were doing it. As a condition of his general paranoia he thought that this would be a rather convenient place for him to be poisoned. However, the quick survey seemed as though it were random enough to be safe... unless the marines were crazy enough to poison their own people just to poison him.

He cracked a smile as he couldn't take his own thought process seriously. Sure he had shown up on some peoples radars for his action with the warlord, but he still didn't have near enough fame to be considered a threat that needed removing? This was, of course, assuming that Izuru was still actually a warlord. He had done plenty that would make him eligible for expulsion and to be honest, he had been pretty out of touch lately. How plausible was it that over the past few weeks he had gone from exempt subordinate to wanted man again?

However, these thoughts simply buzzed in his head like the knowledge of having a mosquito somewhere in your room. You couldn't necessarily stop everything you were doing to hunt to mosquito, but rather, patiently continued with your life until you catch a glimpse of it once more and have a final opportunity to swat it. Taking his time as Xio suggested, he took a tray and began to add food to his quota. He was a dignified eater but couldn't betray the fact that he was incredibly hungry and everyone looked good enough to try. After delicately stacking his food he returned to sit with Xio who seemed to have his own specific order prepared or him. It wasn't long until the small talk lead towards an inquiry on Djazz's ability to uphold his end of the bargain.

"Cutting the cave in half...? I imagine that would be reasonable, though I thought we were just carving hole in the top of the cove..? Either way, with a few moments to learn the couture of the earth there it would take little effort to cleave whatever you need. He said. By brute force it was also completely possible to slash through the earth with a palpable shockwave, but you know what they say, 'work smarter, not harder'.

Speaking of which, the man had now mentioned 'refilling' his sword a few times. If they were asking for knowledge's sake he decided to weight in as well, "So what is this 'refilling' sword about? Is your blade also somehow a gun..?" he said, taking a bite or two to let the question linger and prompt him to answer it. Djazz was less enthused by swords with fancy mechanics and more interested in those whose abilities boiled down to supernatural levels of skill, but he could still find himself learning something new about what inventors and smiths were capable of.

After he had sat down, noting that Djazz seemed on-edge; though he supposed it made sense. Shichibukai or not a pirate was a pirate; and he was a pirate in the middle of a marine base. As such he didn't comment on the situation beyond the simple fact of noting it mentally as he ate. The answer to his question came quickly, along with a bit of a question on his chosen wording of the question. "Essentially the plan is to simply carve the ceiling open as you say, yes. However plans rarely go the way they are intended to- a strategist makes a plan. A good strategist makes several plans, and backup plans for each of those plans." He chuckles softly as he leaned his chin into his palm.

"Cutting the cave itself in two is the worst-case scenario, so I figured asking to ensure the worst was still possible was best and would cut out useless scenario-checking." Ginjo explained as he took another bite afterward, it didn't take long for him to finish his meal- the marines were trained to eat their food quickly as anything could happen mid-meal and who knows when they would get their next meal if their current was interrupted. Ginjo was silently considering the swordsman's words that he could likely cut anything as long as he had a few moments to measure its density and such first- that was an interesting notice; perhaps that meant even seastone could be cut by the man?

It was a question worth asking for the future he supposed. That in mind he looked toward Djazz as he offered a question of his own in return to the answer he had given Gin; and the young man looked confused at Djazz's question. "Ah, I suppose I didn't specify. Apologies." He finished off his meal, before he reached up to his back and drew out the elegant pitch black and red blade, the dragon-shaped hilt winding along it as he rested it on his palms for Djazz to examine. "Ryu is a pet name. It's true name given to it when I forged it was 'Ryutan'. In the language of Wano; it means 'Dragon's Tongue'. I felt it was relatively accurate considering how I designed the weapon .." He chuckled softly as he tapped the mouth of the dragon at the cross-hilt.

This caused the jaw to slowly open, revealing a set of two tubes that were angles from it to connect to the blade- which on closer inspection seemed to have almost gills along the sides of the blade. "It took some time and money, but I got my hands on several dials- one stores gasoline, the other stores flames. If I hit the switch, the blade is covered in flames- if I hit the secondary switch Gas is added to increase its temperature and cause small-scale point blank explosions." He explained this calmly as he slowly closed the mouth, and turned it so the hilt itself was visible- "The last is a dial that stores heat, when you turn the hilt .. sort of like revving a chainsaw, it activates the head dial and causes the blade to become white-hot." The explanation was long to a degree- but rather short as he summarized all the real details to it; he doubted Djazz actually cared that much.

".. Basically, explosive fire-breathing sword that becomes red hot and is nearly unbreakable." he chuckled softly eyeing it; "It's my baby. But my craft is far from imperfect, I intend to continue working on upgrading the alloys to their pinnacle .. seastone and supreme salt .. a unique material I have yet to name or perfect that I'm working on that causes blades natural edge to casually slice through materials .." he chuckled with a light smile; "But. I'm an amateur .. such things are far off." He blinked- and frowned; "Apologies. I went off on a tangent. You asked a subject that interests me quite a bit." He chuckled, clearing his throat a bit as he leaned against the chair and relaxed a bit as he waited for the man to finish his meal.
"I have the nerve to try and smile, ain't been happy for a while."
