in those 2 some patches I had to scoop due to the changes and during the process my techs got looked at again with the other QC techs and the W techs being added and still I was told nothing about a 1 post life span for them

and does this mean the quick repair tech is useless? since your saying the techs only have a 1 post life span?

He's not saying that they last for one post. He is saying that they last until they serve their purpose.

An example of this would be a quickly fabricated bridge, it will last until you've crossed. He's saying that siege weapons are treated the same way.

And I'm guessing it's safe to assume that if you make a tech that creates a siege weapon that lasts until it fires off exactly 2 attacks, or 3, or 4, or whatever number you decide to set it to he would allow it but would doing such a thing would require a higher tech.

Well I would need confermation for that first then, and would that work for the walls as well then? like I could list how many strikes it could take before collapsing?

I really need to know now so I can make use of the Trait's or at least make the techs properly

and if that's the case then wouldn't the "rank/4 posts" formula work for it? which Speak told me is usually common for things?

A wall would work the same way any piece of armor would for the same durability. So it could take a single material breaking hit equivalent to it's tier, or a couple of the tier below etc. You don't need to specify it, just like someone wouldn't specify how many hits their titanium great shield could take.

Rank/4 is common but mostly for buff and debuff related effects, if you want a maximum duration of rank/4 till the item just spontaneously falls to pieces that's fine. But that wouldn't change the fact that they all still need to be good only for one use, you build a balista, it releases it's steel breaking barrage and then it's done.

any way to make the weapons last longer then one use? like mentioning it in the tech or something?

No theres two problems with that, firstly you'd be getting multiple uses of a tech but only have to pay for it's use once. And secondly it would create an issue with just creating one and having it sit there while say a mook fired it off for you repeatedly while you're free to do as you please elsewhere.

-Rapid fire Ballista should be rank 18 as it can break steel and has rapid fire (gattling)
-Both of your siege creation techs should be one use before they fall apart.
-Nail Bullet still says long

according to HoR (and the apparently unwritten rule on it that I was told of) my techs that are physical attacks gain the bonus from the trait

may would the range on Nail gun be reduced when I increased the rank now?

and for now I will edit the siege techs

I'm not denying the HoR bonus or I would have said 32. I'm just saying that its 14 for steel breaking and +4 for the rapid fire effect.

It can be Long Range at 28 as that's where the next range benchmark is.
