Character: Blinkie Pye
Request: Technique approval
Changes:
Note: Blinkie Dagger is special and has several unique properties, a description is provided below for easy reference. This description and these effects were provided by Darkhunter when he modified it from its original version which was absurdly broken having passive T4 durability and being able to pierce titanium automatically, shit was gonzo. Unscaled Techniques will be denoted with the Marker ^ for ease of reference.
Uniscorn Horn

TP: 62 / 62

Techniques
Sonic Rainbow (20^)
Type: Offensive
Range: mid - long
Stats:

Description: A Ponishiki technique in which Blinkie Thrusts the air with her Uniscorn Horn in such a way that it cuts the air itself. This creates a large, conical, Piercing shockwave that possesses unusually stable longevity and shape. This shock wave will continue to fly forward unimpeded until it impacts a material harder that stone.

Rainbow Factory (24^) Branched from Rainbow Slash +4
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid - Long
Stats:

Description: An upgraded version of Blinkie's Rainbow Slash Technique. Rather than just thruting the air in a straight line she spins her Uniscorn Horn in the air as she cuts through it. This releases a spinning drill shaped Shockwave which not only pierces targets but also grinds through them like they were a failed Pegasus to be sacrificed. This shock wave will continue to fly forward unimpeded until it impacts a material harder that stone.
Who The Hell Do You Think I Am?

Rainbow Factory Fun Fun Fun Edition! (28^) Branched from Rainbow Factory +4
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid - Long
Stats:

Description: An upgraded version of Blinkie's Rainbow Slash Technique. Rather than just thrusting the air in a straight line she spins her Uniscorn Horn in the air as she cuts through it. This releases a spinning drill shaped Shockwave which not only pierces targets but also grinds through them like they were a failed Pegasus to be sacrificed. This shock wave will continue to fly forward unimpeded until it impacts a material harder that iron.

Sonic Rainboom (28^) Branched from Sonic Rainbow +6
Type: Offensive
Range: mid - long
Stats:

Description: A Ponishiki technique in which Blinkie Thrusts the air with her Uniscorn Horn in such a way that it cuts the air itself. This creates a large, conical, Piercing shockwave that possesses unusually stable longevity and shape. This shock wave will continue to fly forward unimpeded until it impacts a material harder that stone. The shockwave is for completely aesthetic reasons rainbow colored. By substantially increasing the strength of the thrust whenever this shock wave impacts a target, whether it is stopped by it or not, it will create a multichromatic radial shockwave in a close area originating at the point of impact.

Sonic RainNuke (30^) Branched from Sonic Rainboom +4
Type: Offensive
Range: mid - long
Stats:

Type: Offensive
Range: Mid - Long
Stats:

Friendship Arsenal

Rayleigh Scattering (32^) Branched from Rainbow Ray +8
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid - Long
Stats:

Rainbow factory, no iron breaking. You're paying to add the drilling aspect not improve the material breaking.

Magic missile - you can make a single technique that is a defence bypassing shockwave, you can't make a technique that just gives all your attacks defence bypassing properties while you're using it.

Gore - to vague, attacks how? slashes at someone, thrusts?

Applies to the rest too

I thought that rank 28 benchmark could let us do a passive supernatural effect for its duration, my intent was to make this a sort of diable Jamble thingy except instead of fire its armor bypassing. i know that weapon masters can do things like that with material breaking techniques, where they have a separate technique that lets the break X material and then they can just use that simultaneously with other techniques, so I thought it would be possible with any weapon. In any case if I specifically denote that the material bypassing effect applies to direct contact only IE direct melee attacks is it ok at rank 28? Otherwise what range should the range on a rank 28 material bypassing technique be?

specified they were slashing attacks

Edit: Magic missle deleted, in its place enjoy a whole bunch of rankyaku branches

Sonic rainbow - While it's completely aesthetic theres no justifiable reason the shockwave would be rainbow coloured, you'll need to remove that.

Factory - Still needs iron breaking removed

Rainboom - boosted from 20 to 28 and the magic color nonsense needs to go.

Rainbow ray - Bullet speed techs similarly to diable jambe type ones start at rank 28 and work upwards, so you could have a bullet speed iron breaking rankyaku at around rank 40 but it wouldn't be part of a branch chain.

while I think its silly not allowing color aethsthetic I've removed them from the below rank 28 techs like was discussed earlier

it never broke iron, it was worded stating that it could break materials below iron quality. I've changed the wording off all techniques to try and more fluidly represent that.

Did you mean the total rank for that technique is 28? If so that I already did that because 26 + 2 = 28. my dagger has a built in mini mastery that allows all Uniscorn weapon techs to function as if they were 2 ranks higher. If what your saying is that the rank needed for such an effect is 30, thus 28 + 2 then I'll change it.

This was explained to me already so I'll delete those branches for the time being. I should also mentioned that the techniques much like pointed out earlier do not pierce iron but only anything below iron quality.

Pretty minor but can you alter the wording of the techs from slashes the air to stabs the air, since they're all based on a thrusting motion.

Yeh 28^ sorry i though using the previous techs pre mastery rank would be clear, my bad.

Fun fun fun has the name of the tech it's branched from wrong.

Scattering - wording needs to be altered slightly to "being hit by multiple of these has enough force to pierce iron"

While this would normally be the case for any other technique when it comes to rokushiki techniques it cannot be done. One of the biggest rules about rokushiki techniques is that they cannot be branched in or other of any non roushiki technique. the special aspect of the rankyaku type techniques is that they do not stop until they hit X material. If I were to branch a rokushiki technique that breaks through materials up to X, into a gatling tech that takes multiple hits to break through material X then that is not longer a rokushiki technique, it is a normal gatling shockwave as it loses the key aspect of its former branch in the tree. This also counteracts the rules that all branches must be able to do what their former did. We've also seen in cannon that gatling roku techniques can break through their material tiers with each of their individual attacks not relying on multiple successive hits to break through.

Gattling techs trade power for speed. If it were one shockwave it would have the power to do as you say. However, as a gattling tech it would require all of them to achieve the same effect.

As i said thats normally the case but thats impossibly for a roku tech as it changes the very nature of the technique into that of a non roku tech, this breaks 2 of the cardinal rules of tech branching.
