Kazuki’s body skidded and rolled as it kissed the dirt time after time before scraping to a halt amid the desolate mudded expanse, surrounding by thick verdant forestry. In the distance he could hear the calls and roars of whatever new prehistoric monster had neared them but it seemed they were smarter than to draw too close to this mess of monsters. ”tet-tet-tet-tet” clicking his tongue as he drew himself up from the ground able to feel familiar aches appearing all over his body, these bastards just didn’t give up, this way and that no matter where he went there was someone trying to beat him down. Pirates, they might be honourless bullying thugs but you couldn’t say they weren’t relentless in their commitment to their role. These guys just didn’t seem to take a break. With a slow calculated swaggering gait the pair drew on him, fully confident in the idea that they were going to turn him into nothing but scraps of meat by the end of this confrontation, but he had no such intentions. ”Ahhh damn that one was unfortunate, those seastone cuffs really threw me for a loop, it’s like learning to use this thing all over again.” neither of the pair seemed to entirely comprehend what it was he was referring too but nor did they appear to want too. ”You won’t be awake long enough to worry about such things any longer, so fret not, we’ll be sure to put you down like a sick dog nice and swift” such harsh words, and they belayed every last iota of the murderous intent the pair harboured towards him, seeing him as not even human but simply a rodent to be put down but he didn’t mind, he expected it if anything and unconditionally accepted it, in fact he even smiled cupping his ear as he did so. ”Whats that? You want to know what I was talking about” ”It seems your brain is as weak as the rest of you, no one said anything like that fool” ”are you suuuuuuure???~ I promise it’s real interesting?” ”He said no ya fucking dumbass, now raise your guard and fight us so this will at least be a little fun””Oh go on then, if you insist, I suppose I can tell you” maddeningly self-serving grin spreading across his face as he raised a hand and spilled from his sleeve a small cluster of butterflies. ”They’re beautiful right? I ate a fruit that allows me to produce butterflies at will, ain’t it just the most majestic thing? You know what people named me? Huh, you know? You know? You won’t guess it trust me, they called me a prince!! Me, just a little hick from the back waters, they call me a prince now, ain’t it great? I mean, im gonna be honest, I hated this job at first all the violence, the threats of death, the corruption. It’s freaking terrible, and terrifying at the same time. But when people show that kind of gratitude you just can’t help but be at least a little enamoured right? Well they got me hook line and sinker, I couldn’t do anything but be a marine anymore. And if I’m honest I think this might even be what I was born fo-“ ”WHO THE FUCK EVEN CARES?!?!” what had begun as shared confusion soon grew into bubbling anger as they realised kazuki had no intention of halting his monologue on their account, the croc man tore forth wielding the axe with a thickly muscular frame and vicious strength as he sought to split kazuki in two, the marine ducking beneath the first swing before bringing up a cross guard to brace against the follow up, the scale clad titan giving a grunt of pain as current surget from one side to the other. Elongated mouth began snapping wildly as a thick cloud of butterflies spilled from inside kazuki’s collar, framing his infuriating grin before clouding the alligators sight, taking the opportunity to duck away and step around him before slamming a fierce punch into the kidney. ”See they’re real vibrant right? Aren’t they just the most beautiful thing!” from the outset he’d considered these powers a curse, and from there a burden of responsibility, but somewhere along the line they had become a tool through which he could help brighten the lives of others. And when he’d had them stolen from him today he was forced to fully appreciate just how much they meant to him. From his side he caught sight of the other half to this duo, skittering toward him before thrusting a hand at him tip first, sickly fumes spilling off it. But this time he was there to meet it, a wheel of air condensed by his instead, blocking it with the flat of it’s face, the two sides grinding against one another before crouching low kazuki struck first in the gut before swinging up into the man’s chin. ”That was real mean of you guys, I was just trying to share something a little interesting with you, you’ll be real sorry if you don’t listen you know!” but it seemed they were entirely resolute in their decision to ignore his words completely, recovering swiftly before battering him with a join barrage of attacks from both sides. Reinforcing the wall with a second hand he expanded its size drawing in more air to condense while supplying yet more pairs of colourful fluttering wings. They hammered at him relentlessly but he would not give in, before final with a swift double strike combo from, elicio and krool swinging with BOTH HANDS!!! the shockwave could take no more and shattered, kazuki tumbling backwards with a new found wound split down his chest, though a final layer of his fruits spawn kept it from being as deep as it would have. ”Tch, fine I supposed I was dumb to try reasoning with you anyway, if it’s got to be violence, don’t think I’ll hold back” crouching low in his signature stance for this particular move he held an arm above his head, insects swirling into a vortex at his command, their flight became faster, more rampant as they shaped the air amid them but on an entirely different scale to before. A disc was formed, a disc of destruction, far larger than it’s predecessor with a keen refined edge that was able even to cut. If he had been a cooler marine he might have shouted something like “destructo disc activate” but he wasn’t cool enough to ham handedly smash content from other universes into oda’s mould, who the fuck did he think he was, kamina? So instead, like the plebeian he was he launched the attack without any introduction at all and hurled it toward the pair ahead. |

Robin stared at the woman before smiling quickily, he'd noted before that while she was fast he was much faster and that was even while he wasn't in his fastest form. Lifting up his hand he waved it casually to her. "Bye bye!" Shrinking down the size of a weasel he continued smirking before disappearing, becoming invisible once again as she lifted up her hand to reach for him "Stop!" She yelled swinging her sword down, slicing down to the ground where he'd just been moments ago. Unfortunately he'd already moved away and was sneaking around behind her, using his clawed sickle arms he sliced at the back of her legs, causing her to stumble to the ground unbalanced. "Damn it!" She yelled trying to swing her sword about wildly hoping to hit him. With that particular threat no longer very active Robin crawled up to the trees once again, using his sickle fore-paws to maximum efficiency to help crawl. Sitting there he thought about what had caused him to leave previously that fight. He didn't really want to fight a woman anyway and he knew of a particular way he'd be much more useful. He could attack the ships as well as signal the marines that they had found the Crow. Unfortunately he didn't know where they were parked. Looking down he saw a whole bunch of random pirates running about excitedly from all that was going on. Smiling unseen, the weasel slunk down falling to the ground slowly like a phantom and began to crawl behind one of the men. With careful grace he slipped under the man's pant's leg his sickled arm and snagged hold of it. With great practice he kicked off the ground multiple times moving with such speed he would have been nigh impossible to see even if he hadn't been invisible. "Yaaaah!" yelled the man who trailed behind him, ripped away from his allies by some unseen force at breakneck speeds. |

Sergei withdrew his sword from a pirate's chest, allowing the body to collapse into a pool of tar. The Marine must have been getting close to McTugBoat if the fishmen pirates that were in his way were anything to go by. Granted that it was possible that these fishmen were here randomly but seeing as how fishmen were barely tolerated in human society, it was high unlikely that these pirates were guarding his target. A part of the inventor was getting excited at finally ending this part of his quest but deep down he knew that allowing his emotions to get the better of him before and during a fight would certainly affect him negatively and he needed all his wits about him. This man had gotten away too many times, two times too many, once on his own ship and once from prison, but the doctor intended to put an end to that here and now. No more running. No more hiding. The question now was, whether to kill him or capture him. Now, a very big part of him really, really, really wanted to murder the bastard for everything he has done. Of course the more reasonable part of him knew that he should capture a pirate for the Marines. But then again, McTugboat had escape before so there was nothing stopping him from escaping again, no matter how well he was guarded. No prison was 100% escape proof. No, the only way to ensure that the fishman would never escape again was to end his life, not that the marksman had any moral problems with that. The main problem with killing McTugBoat was that he needed to extract any and all secrets that he could before doing so. After all, it would be rather unfortunate if he needed to know something later on and his only source of information was already dead. He would certainly need to put his information gathering skills to the test. Taking a deep breath, Sergei turned the corner and finally came face to face with his target. Granted that face to face was from a distance of several dozen feet. Even with his single eye, the Marine could see the fishman pale, or at least he thought that the fishman paled, it was kind of hard to see from that far away with only a single eye. Either way, the inventor was pleased to McTugBoat backing away slowly, as if hoping that the man would not notice him. As he came further into the roofless room that was on top of the stadium, the doctor kept his body as not threatening as possible for now. No reason to have the fishman bolt just yet. Not until there were no escape routes left. As McTugBoat backed into a literal corner, the marksman couldn't help but smile. Justice was upon him. |

Charging toward the pair he held his weapon aloft, krool barrelling ahead to meet him while his partner flanked off to the side curving around the edge of their skirmish. Foot slamming down as his anchor every muscle in the marines body became focussed toward this singular action, twisting at the hip to swing his full weight into the throw that followed. The razor edged disc whipped through the air, a subtle whoosh following as it carved its path forward, crashing into krool whose sword swung down to meet it, blade grinding against sharpened wheel as sparks flew. They seemed stuck in a stale mate, neither side giving any ground but as the seconds ticked he could see the strain appear on the alligator man's expression, the veins and arteries bulge as he he focused all he had into holding it back before with a shrieking shatter the weapon exploded into shards, shockwave carving forth straight into his scale clad body. Meat slapped sloppily to the ground, top and bottom no longer a seamless transition, now two singular entities that lay next to one another. But he was not so fortunate as for that to be the end of his worries. Glancing from side to side he realized he could not for the life of him see the other one he’d been engaged with, nothing but silence and emptiness surrounding him in the waning light of day. How could he have lost track of him? They had both been in such close proximity, even if he’d wanted to run he shouldn’t have gotten all too far…there should at least be some sign of him! Thoughts of the problems he could cause for robin and even sergei should he get away filled his head, though they needn’t have, the man had gone nowhere far as he promptly made clear. ”ANTILLIONS PIT” the words reverberated through ground and sky as though spoken by the very earth itself. It shook and rumbled under foot, before become unstable and crumbling. The center sunk into itself, melting into a thick sludge of liquefied mud, dirt and stone before it began working itself into a swirling vortex of which kazuki found himself just outside the center. As it picked up speed so too did he, his legs sinking ever deeper as he struggled to become unmyred in the thick swampy mass. ”What have you done?!? What is this? HOW! DO! I! GET! MY! FEET! OUT?!?!” try as he might he became no more free than he was moments before, in fact if anything he had only ended up further imprisoned in the devouring mass as he was pulled ever closer it’s center. ”Gotcha!” composure returned to him on a dime as though the situation had never deteriorated at all, which was honestly quite a feat when you were spinning at the speeds he was, it took a huge amount of his leg muscle just to keep standing but he would, because this was the figure of unpturbed justice the law had to cut. ”Didn’t I already tell you my power is basically cheating” at this point he took it as a given that somewhere down there he could be heard by his current nemesis, and while he’d been swung in concentric circles he had not been idle, slight subtle hand movements drawing his spinning razor edged disc back to him, cutting through the air with his hand as he sent it carving downward through the earth. It sliced like a hot knife into butter and for a brief instant seemed to have had no effect till without warning the spinning simply stopped, the sludged earth slowly retuning to it’s original consistency. A little worse for wear and fatigued he pried himself loose of the pite, fat chunks of earth crumbling from his body. Before leaving he offered a prayer for the souls of his opponents, magnanimous even in a victory ike this, for even if they had taken the wrong path all lives deserved at least some consideration. But he had not time to waste here. Looking around only now did he realize how engrossed he had become in the fight before him, the stands had crumbled, broken wood seating and debris now sticking out of the swirling pit that had swallowed them. Here and there the poking head or some other body part of a fallen grunt could be seen but none were conscious enough to do anything about it. And then it came. That soul sapping weight that fell light lightning, invisible yet dense and heavy. The air itself took on mass and wore his body down, exhausting him just from standing within it, but he would not be done so easily. Muscles rippling, showing off a far more built physique than one whould have expected looking at him at a glance kazuki braced himself against the burden fully aware of what he had to achieve here and what was riding on it. A slow clap applauded what could have only been his earlier efforts but they were hollow and loveless, this was neither appreciation nor admiration simply more mocking as had been offered since they got here. ”You have done well marine, you and your comrades, but the fun and games end here. You know very well the scope of my operation, or at least you think you do. The men here though of different groups and direction will happily come together if it means slaughtering you people, and they’re not the only ones, these games serve as a hub for slave marketeering as well as public spectacle, there are many fingers in this pie that would be burned if you continue. Do not think you would get away so easily, though it doesn’t matter, im going to kill you now any way, I just thought you might enjoy knowing how futile this has been since the beginning.” Futile? Hah-haha Futile? That joke was so bad it almost made kazuki want to cry with laughter, face cupped by his hand as he let out a mirthless chuckle, dry and somber ”What would you know about futile? I’ve been forced to sit back and watch while good men die by the dozen just so someone could avoid a night in a cell. I’ve carried burning bodies from buildings able only to extinguish the corpse while their children cry and beg for their parents back. I’ve been to the depths of futile despair and back and still I didn’t crumble. DO YOU REALLY THINK SOME BACKWATER PISSANT LIKE YOU HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO SHOW ME SOMETHING THAT COULD ECLIPSE ALL THAT!” The words were punctuated by fist, appearing in front of crows through soru before swinging a heavy hook into the man’s face, for the first time since they’d met he was stunned and silent, a window kazuki took full opportunity off as he smashed the punch into the man’s face despite the lag he felt in his body. It wasn’t enough, couldn’t be enough to stop him, he had no choice but to forge forward, if there was no path ahead he would create one himself. |

"You! I thought you were dead!" the fishman exclaimed, thought of course Sergei could not hear it and instead read the lips. In response, he simply spread his hands and shrugged as if to show that he was indeed alive and that he did not really care what McTugBoat thought about the situation. While a very small part of him wanted to explain to the fishman exactly how he had survived the ordeal that he was put through, but even if this was the place, this was definitely not the time to do so. Especially since his time was rather short if he wanted to leave the island in one piece. It was rather doubtful that the inventor would be able to fight off all these pirates, even with the help of the other Marines, especially when you considered that there was a very high chance that said pirates would soon be using seastone based weapons and he for one, did not intend to stick around once that happened. After all, there was something about not wanting to fight when the one advantage you had over your opponent was taken away from you, especially when fighting multiple opponents. But that was neither here nor there for right now he had to focus all his attention on getting all the info that he could out of the fishman before getting out of here. Taking out one of his guns, the doctor quickly aimed it at McTugBoat's knee before squeezing the trigger, the bullet finding its target without any problems. While he could not hear the screams of pain, the marksman could certainly see them on the fishman's face. This should certainly ensure that his target would not be able to escape. McTugBoat appeared to whimper as Sergei closed the distance between them, squatting down in front of him. Sheathing his gun, the Marine took out his trusty notepad and marker before writing down his question. "How did you escape and who are you working for?" The inventor showed the page to the fishman. When the pirate continued to whimper and not look at the page, the mute grabbed his target's face before shoving the page into it. When that failed to elicit an answer, he continued to hold the face with one hand while he rammed his fist into the the shattered knee, eliciting another cry of pain, before placing the paper in front of the fishman's face. And now, he certainly got a response that he wanted. "Gah, we have a man on the inside. Not just that base but many many more!" McTugboat exclaimed. "The mafia, the fishman mafia!" the fishman continue as the doctor threatened to hit the knee again. Well, those answers were rather interesting if just a bit useless. It was not that farfetched that the fishman would be connected to a fishman mafia nor the fact that they had a man on the inside. Now, while he certainly wanted to know who the man on that particular base was, the fact that this was not a single incident made that knowledge somewhat less useful. What would be more interesting to know would be where the fishman mafia headquarters was so that he could go there and take them all out. Hopefully this piece of shit would know. |

Crows legs were whipped out from beneath him as his body was sent tumbling through the dirt, streaks of dust kicked into clouds around him. Clawed fingers gouged the ground and slowed his motion till he skidded to a halt crouched and ready, the gaze Kazuki had set upon him utterly venomous. ”You’ve got balls I’ll give you that kid, but the difference in experience between us is like night and day. You’ve barely tasted what the grand line has to offer a marine, it will chew you up and spit you out like gristle and bone. You can hate me all you please but you’re simply asleep, you fight a losing war for inhumane monsters supporting fattened greedy swine upon their backs. You can shed as much blood sweat and tears as you like but at the end of the day it’s all for nothing. I’ll be doing you a favour putting you down like the dog you are here.” Kazuki’s gaze flickered as the man shimmered from view, trying to follow the motion but his tired eyes having trouble keeping up, catching sight of him only in time to watch as he appeared at the marine’s flank, leg drawn back before carving forward a sickle of shimmering light cleaving through the air at him. It was a recognizable technique, one he’d seen robin use on multiple occasions, though something told him the difference between this and that were disparate. His hands twisted a circle in the air, butterflies swarming to his command and forming a spinning circular shockwave that acted as a shield, his feet grinding tracks in the earth as he was forced back by the techniques power. It’s longevity was astounding, feeling as though it lost none of it’s keen cutting edge as it forced him back with increasing distance, yet no sooner did he finally feel as though hew as slowing it’s momentum some a shadow appeared at his rear boot slamming itself into his kidney and kicking him across the muddy arena. Spittle flew from his mouth as he took the blow, feeling as though his stomach had been overrun by nausea and the very idea of forcing his legs to support him became repulsive. But he wouldn’t fall, the still very present sensation of crow’s haki on his shoulders meant that if he stopped he very well might not get up to continue so he couldn’t cease just yet. Slowing himself his hands held splayed with their palms upright caused wheel shaped shockwaves to be conjured above each hurling them forward one after another as those which were lost were rapidly replaced. Crows danced amid them as though he were playing a game, his body leaning this way and that, springing from his hands and shielding himself from glancing blows with the gauntlets that shielded his fore arms. It was not looking particularly promising. As they flew past their direction strayed, each spurned to it’s own trajectory, splitting up while crows was left to make his charge towards the devil fruit user, but kazuki was not done. |

A part of Sergei was enjoying seeing McTugBoat on the ground in an immense amount of pain. The Marine knew that he should not be enjoying this since it could be considered evil and very pirate like, but he simply could not help himself. After all, the fishman had caused so many problems and so it made sense that he should suffer for it. The question was, should the inventor enjoying seeing another person in pain, even if it was a despicable pirate. He had always thought Marines as being a pillar of being good and fair, for the most part, and here he was, enjoying the suffering of another individual. The doctor had always thought that even though he was lazy, he was still a good person and all that. But ever since the events with McTugBoat and Rinry, he had found himself desiring revenge and other unbecoming thoughts like that. And what's more, he did not mind these thoughts, even going as far as embracing them. He had always wanted to cut out the corruption in the Marines and had always expected that he would be on the pure side, but now he was not sure. But this was not the time to have an existential crisis. He would figure out what to do with himself after he cleansed the Marines once and for all. And that started with finding these fishman mafia and putting an end to them and then finding all those moles that they have planted. It would not happen overnight but the marksman would certainly make sure that eventually he would put an end to all of them. But first he had to find the location of the fishman mafia headquarters. "And where would I find this fishman mafia?" Sergei wrote down the question on the page before showing it to the fishman. "They are everywhere! Anywhere you turn we will always be there!" McTugBoat groaned out. "Ahrg, Plantenal Island, that's all I know! Please stop!" the fishman cried out as the Marine shoved the barrel hard into the shattered knee. And with that, McTugBoat outlived his usefulness. After all, the inventor was sure that he would find all the info on the spies at the fishman base. There was a brief look of hope in the fishman's eyes as the doctor got back up to his feet and sheathed his gun. The look turned into a look of horror as the marksman activated his powers and sprayed down McTugBoat and the area around him in sticky and flammable tar. "Wha....what...the hell is this?" the fishman forced out as he tried to struggle out of the tar. Instead of answering with words, the marksman placed a cigarette in his mouth and lit it on fire with a match, taking a couple of puffs on it. As the match burned down almost to his fingers, he flicked the still burning match onto the tar. For a few moments nothing happened before the tar went up in flames. While Sergei could not hear the fishman's screams, he could certainly imagine them quite well. And he most certainly enjoyed them. |

Robin kept dragging the man along questioning him as he traveled through the forest as to how to reach their ships. It didn't take long for the man to give up their position and with that Robin let his sickle cut through he pants completely and dropped him on his head. After awhile he started to feel a little bit tired however, running such long distance at his fastest speed was not the most enjoyable thing in the world, especially when he wasn't nearly as full of energy or durable as Kazuki. There were many ships here, and barely guarded as well. The sight of their skeleton crews made him smile in pleasure before sighing upon realizing that destroying ships even if they were unguarded for the most part was going to be a challenge. "Well time to get this over with." Standing there he listened intently to the sound of fighting far off, Kazuki and the others must be giving them hell he imagined. That butterfly fruit sure was a useful tool to have, capable of seemingly anything the user wanted it to do. Running up to line of ships docked on the sands he turned solid and transformed back to his human form, confident he didn't need yet to be a zoan for this since it wasn't like it really enhanced his destructive abilities or if it did he hadn't became skilled enough to use them yet. He'd only just figured out how to use his fruit very recently after all. Tipping his hat down to block the sun from his eyes he jumped into the air spinning around and swinging his leg out "Storm Leg!" He yelled out as suddenly shouts came from the ships below whom had spotted him. 'Kill that marine!" They yelled as a blade of raw force shot down toward the first ship striking through it like butter and cutting a hole through the center and down into the ocean, Suddenly the sides began to crack as well from pressure and the entire ship collapsed in upon itself. "One down and so so many more to go." he sighed as he began to fall back down to the ground. original post cause I didn't know it got eaten |

100m….80m….60m crows approached rapidly, the distance between the two of them shortening by the second, but as he did so kazuki was motionless, he tried neither to evade of brace himself to cushion the impact. Instead he held a hand out before him, fingers splayed before clutching it into a fist, the action entirely incomprehensible to the pirate, as was the smirk that appeared on his face a moment later. Seeing no reason to take such redundant action seriously crows prepared himself to attack the marine, realizing too late that he was not simply gesturing in futility. Shockwaves returned on themselves, having circled round they came together with crows as the point of focus, striking at him from all sides. The man’s body tensed, becoming rigid and stiff while kazuki could only watch as the odd technique repelled his shockwaves efforts but it could not do so entirely, though shallower than intended wounds appeared seamed with crimson across the pirates body, while his clothing suffered worse yet it was nothing but aesthetic. Flinging his arms outwards crows forced himself against the exerting pressure, shattering the projectiles in doing so though panting from the effort of it, he was not one who would be defeated in so straight forward a manner, it was certainly becoming clear he had not earned his reputation nor his following through sheer fortune. This guy was pretty strong in his own right. ”Not bad sheep, but you’re still a little fish swimming with sharks, know your place pond skater.” closing the last of the distance between them kazuki threw a fist as crows leapt toward him, his fist still looking taught and frozen by rigor as it crashed down toward him. As his own gauntleted punch met it head on he could feel the impact down to his very bones. It was like punching a freaking metal plate, what the hell were this guy’s fists made of? They traded blow for blow, fist meeting fist every time and kazuki able to palpably feel himself coming off the worse of the two as they clashed, but he wouldn’t concede, wouldn’t relent. He would turn his fists to dust before he let this guy force him into submission, this was a fight he couldn’t afford to lose. |

While it would have certainly been cool looking to just walk away from the burning corpse, Sergei did realize that there was always a chance that the fishman might survive this. It was rather low all things considered, but it was still possible and the Marine would rather be sure that he finished the job than leave it up to chance. As soon all the tar finally stopped burning, the inventor calmly walked over to the smoldering corpse before taking out one of his pistols and making sure that there was a normal bullet chambered in the barrel, fired two rounds into McTugBoat's corpse's head for good measure, each bullet greatly decreasing the chances of the fishman ever coming back. Unfortunately, he lacked the means to drop that chance to as close to zero as possible so he would need to accept that what he was doing would be enough. Plus he had spent too much time here already, which increased the chances of someone would find him here and he preferred to be far away from this island when they did. As much as it pained him to leave all these pirates alive, he knew that he would not be able to do much about them by himself. He would make sure to notify the proper authorities about the location of the pirate base when he got the chance. Granted that there was a chance that these same authorities were in the fishman mafia pocket but then again, it was doubtful that the fishmen would care about some random pirates. It was a chance he would have to take. Then there was the problem with the other Marines on the island. The doctor was not entirely sure what to do about them. He really should help them with whatever they were doing now that he had dealt with McTugBoat. He would certainly have a better chance of taking down as many pirates as he could then if he was by himself. The question was, where should he look for them? Since he was deaf, he could not very well pinpoint where the Marines were. As such joining up with them seemed to be a rather long shot. Well, he could always go down to the docks since it seemed to be the most likely of places for the other Marines to go to find a ship to leave on. As he left the fishman's corpse behind, the marksman began making his way towards the docks, or at least towards the area where he assumed the docks since he had not seen them when they were coming here and he supposed that they were some ways past the forest. Hopefully he would not get lost. As he made his way through the camp, Sergei thankfully did not encounter many pirates. He found some dead on the ground and assumed that any that remained alive where fighting somewhere else. If the other Marines managed to kill them all off, then he was not going to complain. Keeping his hand on his gun, the inventor made his way into the forest, ready for anyone who would decide to jump out at him from behind a tree. Curiously enough, there was a pirate that was dumb enough to do just that, jumping from behind a tree before trying to attack the doctor, only to receive a bullet to the chest for his troubles. With a sigh, the tar man stepped over the corpse before continuing on his trek through the forest, coming up on the dock just in time to see Robin destroy a ship with a single shockwave. Well, at least they should get rid of the ships fairly quickly. |

"Rankyaku" Robin yelled, kicking his leg through the air and releasing a slicing blade of wind that traveled through the space between him and the next nearest ship before slicing it as well critically to where it began to collapse in on itself. "Rankyaku! rankaku! rankyaku!" Back to back he began kicking his leg rapidly sending out several of the blades of wind toward three other ships cutting out almost half the ships there were docked. This was pretty damn taxing on him however already his leg was starting to feel sore and now the people he were attacking were starting to get pissed, shooting at him with rifles though from the range they weren't that good, however one did manage to graze his outer left thigh causing him to drop down and grab ahold of the injury. "Ow damn it. He roared" Suddenly he wished he had single move that could wipe out all of these ships at once rather than going about it individually. This was taking up too much time and energy on his part. Hell Kazuki was probably already finished while he was pretty much playing around here. | ||||||||||||

Sergei was rather impressed with how Robin was handling the ships, even if it did look rather exhausting. Unlike the other man, this Marine really did not possess anything in his arsenal that could quickly destroy ships. Granted that he did have his explosive bullets, but he was not entirely sure just how well they would work against the targets. It would certainly make a large enough hole in the hull to spring a leak and eventually send the ship to its watery grave, but the marksman was not entirely sure how quickly said ship would sink and that was a problem since they did not have too much time right now. No, the ship cutting shockwaves were doing a fine job and the doctor could not help but wonder if he would be able to develop something similar to it. Maybe something with his sword instead of his foot. That would certainly make things that much easier. He could always try to use his devil fruit powers for something, but it was doubtful that they would be useful in taking out the ships when for the most part so far they have been useful in detaining living beings. As such, it was probably a good idea to leave the destroying of the pirate armada to Robin and potentially Kazuki, wherever he wound up being, most likely fighting whoever was in charge of the island since that seemed to be his thing. Either way, there was not much left for the swordsman to do here, having finally accomplished his mission of putting down McTugBoat and finding out where the rest of the Fishman Mafia was hiding out. Plantenal Island. Granted that it could have very well be a false lead, but that was the only lead he had so far so there was no much that he could do about it but follow it. At the very least, it did not look like McTugBoat managed to signal whoever was on Plantenal that someone was coming for them so the element of surprise still remained on Sergei's side. Maybe he would be able to get a Buster Call on the island but that was very doubtful. Plus, as much as he wanted to wipe out the Mafia in one fell swoop, it would be good to try to find any documents that might list the Marine traitors. With the destruction well in hand, the Marine made his way back to the where he was dropped off by his ship, intending on making haste to Plantenal before word reached there of what happened here. Granted that Den Den Mushi communication was faster than what a ship could travel, but he hoped that the news about this attack would be delayed in being reported until he reached his destination. He did not hold his breath that things would work out for him like that, knowing his shit luck and all that, but it was nice to hope for something to work out for him. Eventually, not that he knew how long it took, the marksman finally reached the edge of the island, spotting his row boat not too far away. Glad to be finally done with the island, the doctor made his way to the rowboat, pleased to see that the two men were still here and waiting for him. Quickly getting into the boat, the two men did not waste any time getting back to the ship. As he got on deck, Sergei wondered if he should wait and see if the other Marines on the island would contact him to get a ride. Of course he couldn't wait forever and would leave in less than an hour unless he got contact. |

"Rankyaku!" Robin yelled for the last time finally as he dropped to the ground, one last deadly sharp blade of raw force hurtling down at the last ship, bisecting it in half while the beach began to crawl with tired pirates who'd crawled from the seas after their ships had been destroyed. Now that the ships were destroyed he expected they would be quite angry with him and ready for a fight. Considering his leg was burning and on fire that was something he had no wish for at all. Deciding now was as good a time as any to get away and check on Kazuki the marine shrunk down once again into a small white weasel with sickles instead of front paws before completely disappearing from sight. "Ciao!" He called to the pirates who grumbled angrily, too tired and defeated to even really give chase to the invisible creature. Running back the way he came though not nearly as fast as he had previously considering how badly his leg hurt at the moment it took some time for him to arrive at the campsite. When he got there he saw that the entire place had been utterly ruined and there was even a wildfire blazing somehow. This must have been one short but incredibly intense battle, no one moved at all from the bodies that laid on the ground. In the center of the ring of fire lay the Crow and Kazuki, both apparently unconscious. "Shit!" Robin cursed as he came closer, hopping over the flames which still managed to make his belly uncomfortably warm from being that close to the red tongue of the flames. Placing his front paw on the man's throat Robin felt for signs of breathing, it was shallow but Kazuki was alive. Looking to the opposite side The Crow seemed to be breathing much better, his chest rising and falling in large gusts. The sight of it pissed Robin off. Looking at this pirate and his friend and realizing Kazuki likely would die while the Crow would have in this situation gotten up and lived made him grind his small canines together in anger. Transforming back into a human being Robin walked calmly toward the pirate laying on the ground, stooping over to grab a discarded pistol as he continued on his pace toward the man. Aiming the pistol toward the unconscious pirate who'd thrown them into the pits and had almost beaten Kazuki he glared down the barrel. "Sorry but you're too much of a threat to let live. Plus you almost killed my friend." Firing the pistol the sound seemed to echo over the entire island, or perhaps that was just the sound of his conscience as he'd never killed a man in cold blood before, even a pirate such as this. Firing again and again he unloaded all of the 5 shots in the chamber into the man's chest, little bubbles of red popping up from each ball that pierced The Crow's chest making his body do a small jump from the impact. Even after he'd fire d all his shots he still kept clicking on the trigger waiting for more to come out before tossing the gun to the side in the dirt. Going back to Kazuki he grabbed the marine and tossed him over his shoulder, carrying him like a large sack of flour albeit he'd never actually carried flour before and Kazuki most certainly weighed much more than that. It stung when he momentarily ran over the fire, little flames sticking to the side of his pants and jacket which blew out from the wind rushing by him as he ran toward where they had docked the ship. He hoped that once he got there he'd find Sergei and they could leave. He didn't look forward much to the paperwork that was coming but it was better than waiting here any longer, he honestly wanted to get away from that dead body as fast as he could. They'd probably give him a medal for this ending but it was the best he could do out of a messy situation that no one wanted. He hoped Kazuki wouldn't judge him too harshly for the action he'd taken if he ever found out about it. |

Occasionally glancing at the shore as the minutes ticked by, Sergei found himself tapping his foot against the wooden deck. While he was eager to leave and continue on his way, he was having reservation about leaving his fellow Marines on a pirate filled island. Especially since these Marines were not corrupt, as far as he was aware of at least, and nothing he had seen so far indicated that they were indeed corrupt. As such, even though he had set his own one hour time limit on waiting, he hoped that the other Marines would be able to reach the shore so that he would not have to feel overly terrible about leaving them behind. Granted that it was possible that the other Marines would commandeer a pirate ship to get away, but since it was not for certain, the marksman did not want to leave that to chance. As the hour approached, the inventor glanced back one more time, this time seeing some movement on the beach instead of just sand and trees. Looking through the spyglass, the doctor confirmed that it was indeed Robin carrying an unconscious Kazuki. Motioning for the rowboat to be dispatched to shore, the tar man once again tapped his foot as he waited for the rowboat to come to shore, pick up the Marine duo and come back to the ship. With plumes of smoke rising above the forest, Sergei was rather eager to get away since it was rather probable that someone would see the plume, come to investigate and reveal to the world what happened here. And while it was possible that what he learned here today would not be revealed to the fishman mafia, which hopefully would not change their base of operations following this incident, he simply could not take that chance. As such, he was especially glad once the rowboat finally reached his ship and was stowed away a couple of minutes later. "You can find some bunks in the crew quarters. We're setting off immediately." the marksman wrote down on his pad, showing it to Robin before turning away, fully expecting that his fellow Marine, being higher ranked than him, could follow some orders and not make a mess of things. With those "orders" given, the doctor began motioning for the other crew members to finally cast off. He really did not need to motion or anything since the crew, by now, had come to understand what he wanted from his simple motions. A couple of more minutes passed as the crew put the finishing touches to their departure, having spent the last hour or so preparing for it, before the sails were released and he could feel the ship picking up speed as it sailed further away from the island by the minute, charging headlong towards their next destination, one that hopefully finish his quest once and for all. After that? Who knew. Maybe he would try to root out the Marine corruption. But for now, the fishman mafia had to go. A faint smile graced the tar man's lips at the thought of putting an end to such an organization. It would truly be a great day once it was all said and done. Truly great. The end. |
