2mb’s? it was a reasonable question, and an understandable assumption given the situation but kazuki hoped a drastic assumption. There was every chance this guy was a marine working along side crow’s and it did a lot to explain the inexplicable nature of his being sent here. But it wasn’t the possibility the marine wants to bet on. Robin’s plan worked well enough, or at least sounded as though it had a good likely hood of working so, and kazuki had never been much of a fan when it came to giving orders so it seemed easiest to work with that. ”Okay, once we get a location Robin take care of recon, get a bead on crows. Ensign Volk you’ll be with me, we’re gonna scout what we can see about the set up they have going from higher ground, look for a point of entry. Half of you take the island perimeter find where the ship is docked, the rest gather the men and take regroup as back up, if possible secure it, if not maintain position and keep in contact about their activity.” it was starting to look as though this would be a task easier done with more men, and with the addition of a capable third, albeit one he didn’t want to let out of his sight, taking them along would only serve to draw if anything more attention.

Offering a light nod to show the pair were on the same page his attention returned once more to the task at hand, clearing a path as they made their way through the thick verdant foliage. Overgrown didn’t cut it, even the bugs were the size of small freakin mammals, but eventually they were under the beaming rays of the sun once more, having made it through the greenery and in the distance towering towards the heavens was an impromptu arena that appeared as though it didn’t belong, constructed within the rib cage of some great beast’s skeleton, left grounded. Keeping to the shadows he avoided stepping out initially, it was a lot of open ground drawing close was going to be a problem, they’d have to edge their way around, but there were enough skeletons littered around of such gargantuan size he didn’t feel as though getting aloft would be much trouble. Heading for the right he kept to the shade offered by the treeline, circling round before making an approach.

Breaking off from the two quietly Robin snuck into some underbrush and morphed back into his weasel form with the weird sickles, turning invisible almost near instantly as he transformed. Scurrying through the forest he blitzed around, darting from foilage to foilage as he ran around looking for signs of their base. After several minutes of searching he finally managed to come across a trail that was freshly used with footprints. Following it he made his way to a makeshit fort with wooden log walls. This was kind of pitiful. They could easily siege this without trying Robin thought to himself. Of course they probably didn't plan to stay long but he expected something more since they had somehow managed to keep marines and other powerful people held up in places like this. Hopping up on top, careful not to poke himself with the spiked tops of the logs he looked over at the other side and sucked in his breath. While it was obvious that it was temprorary and not built for much comfort they had managed to build an entire wooden colony here full of pirates, he could even pick out a few big names among them. They were probably the ones here to gamble. What was not surprising but still shocking to see somehow was the large pit that had been dug out in the center of their colony where he assumed they tossed the people in to fight.

Knowing he'd seen enough now Robin leaped off the wall and ran back the way he'd come before transforming back into a human out of sight of the new marine, Sergei whom he didn't entirely trust just yet. It would be good to have a few surprises in case the man turned out to be a traitor. Approaching the others with a smile Robing saluted Kazuki with his hand pressed to his head before dropping it. "So Captain I managed to find their base of operations and its pretty much exactly like we thought. Lets head there now. Once we get there i'll sneak inside and give a signal to attack. It'll be pretty obvious so that you can't miss it. We'll use shock and awe tactics to throw them off their game before they even realize they've lost."

So it seemed like he was going with this Kazuki Marine to scout out the camp from up high while the Robin Marine was going to sneak into camp, apparently, to find Crow. Personally, Sergei thought that his powers would do a rather good job of sneaking into camp though granted that it would be just a might suspicious to see a mass of tar rolling across the ground. Furthermore, he did not know just what kind of power the younger Marine possessed. The marksman remembered the other Marine being some kind of animal as he scuttled across the lizard from before and cut off its genitals, but would that be enough to sneak into camp? More than likely, yes. At least if a weird animal suddenly appeared in camp, it would raise less suspicions than a pool of tar. As such, the doctor did not voice any advice to this particular plan, instead following Kazuki through the underbrush, which was rather hot, humid, and filled with all manner of insects. Thankfully, the insects did not bother the inventor too much, his body turning to tar underneath his skin.

Eventually the duo made their way out into the open, which was filled with a variety of very large bones. Following Kazuki's lead, Sergei stayed in the shadows as well, not entirely certain what they were doing until Robin showed up with more information. It seemed that whatever powers the kid possessed, they were well suited for carrying out stealth missions. He would definitely need to keep an eye on him incase these turned out to be traitorous Marines. After all, taking a knife to the back was something that he did not consider a good time. And then there was still Kazuki, all of his powers unknown aside from a strength that was enough to throw a giant lizard onto its back. And even that was enough to make the Marine weary. "Wouldn't it be better to try to take out as many enemies as possible while remaining undetected? Seems like the shock and awe tactics only work for a short while against an opponent with more men. Stealth would yield much better results by dwindling their numbers to a more manageable one." the marksman quickly wrote down before showing it to the duo.

While robin branched off to go and get a better look within their camps walls at the kind of man power they were concealing kazuki made his way around the forests edge with volk. Once they’d circled far enough and put some distance from the camp the pair made they way to one of the towering skeletal remains that littered the badlands and swiftly began to scale it. It wasn’t exactly what you’d call an easy job but the jarring notches that lined the chipped bone made for convenient footholds so all in all it didn’t take too long. Hand shielding his brow from the suns glare kazuki peered down into the encampment, surrounded by a point tipped fence. It appeared at it’s center was a pitted arena, surrounded by what looked to be stands for an audience to be seated, and a scattering of tents, all very much as expected. Down below would be gladiators sparred against one another in preparation for the blood match that would soon ensue, even from here he felt as though he could feel their desperation to cling to life, their desire to escape from the life of death situation that had been forced upon them.

This guy was despicable, using people like pawns for entertainment, but then again could he really say he was all that much worse than a slaver, perhaps death in battle was in a sense kinder than some of the fates those mermaids ended up facing. Though whatever the degree of depravity there was no disputing that it needed to end. Sighting robin returning, he slipped down the milky white bone slide, coming to a thudding halt as the man rejoined them, seemingly satisfied with what he’d found. It appeared there was little obvious in the way of defenses since robin was confident they could break in with brute force alone, it seemed a simple tactic that involved the fewest of their party and meant he could keep an good eye on those around and would have to worry less which was comforting. Suhov however opted for an almost polar opposite approach, skulking in and dispatching as many of the guards as was possible without being discovered.

Both plan’s had their merits, but what bothered him most about this situation was the unknown element. Something in this pirates possession was allowing him to subdue marines with seeming ease, and if it was simply a matter of brute strength that was one thing but if he had someone working with him that had some obscure ability that allowed him to incapacitate with ease they could end up sunk if discovered before they knew what they were dealing with. In that case it’d be best to use both tactics, too a degree at least.

”We’ll do both, I’ll go in as the distraction and draw as much of their attention as I can, while you two take the less obvious approach and take care of as many of them as your can. The main priority is finding out how they’re capturing fighters so easily, and if you can neutralize it, beyond that things will get a lot easier. “ It was true he didn’t know a lot about the new arrival, and the precarious nature of their working relationship didn’t do much to abate his fears towards leaving the man to operate on his own, but the plan wouldn’t very well work otherwise. And given he’d managed to draw close to them with that black sludge body and cause barely a disturbance, it would be a waste not to use him.

”I’ll see you on the other side” a kind smile and a nod coming with the acknowledgement, after all his safety was almost entirely in their hands now. With that a fluorescent mass of fluttering insects burst from his back, swiftly forming into a pair of broad butterfly wings before with a flap and gust of wind scattering the dirt beneath him he took flight, heading directly for the encampment ahead. Increasing his elevation he soared through the air towards the camp.

Surprised shouts and yells of warning erupted quickly as he was spotted over head, upturned palms summoning more of the fluttering insects from within his sleeves where they soon began flying in rapid circular patterns that formed a silo of spheres hovering around him, before casting them down towards the crowd of pirates taking aim, concussive blasts accentuated with thunderous bang’s scattering their ranks as he fell down through the air after them, chains of lightning dancing across the tops of his gauntlets as he dropped into their midst, the condemning glare of an executioner keeping his expression taught.

Robin nodded with Sergei's suggestion acknowledging the truth in that a pure stealth mission would be ideal but at some point in the end their activity would be discovered he was fairly sure. That was the only reason he hadn't considered that plan. Since it would leave them just as confused and disorganized as the enemy once they were discovered rather than merely ready to set up the ambush. In the end Kazuki decided to adopt both plans and make himself the person to infiltrate. That seemed a bad idea given Robin's df made him perfect for infiltrating but he was guessing that Kazuki had a clever idea that only he was suitable for rather than using Robin for that.

Transforming into his full zoan form once again Robin nodded, "Sounds like a plan. Let's hit these guys hard before they even know we're here." scurrying over to a tree he became to climb up it using his sythe arms to hook into the bark. Once up top he ran over the branch jumping from one to the other becoming invisible after several jumps and landing in the base. Kazuki had already launched his assault from the sound of it while Robin hung back letting the man draw all the attention to himself. Kazuki would be able to handle that level of pressure while Robin was able to stealthily observe everyone and pick out key targets to eliminate or capture if possible.

It didn't take long for one of those targets to appear. A captain known as "Hook" for the iconic hook hand he used. He wasn't a hugely infamous pirate like Abel but neither were most of the captains that were here. Regardless of that he'd appeared first and was as good a target as any, running over on the ground he picked up speed until he jumped into the air and let the wind carry him, slicing Hook's back with his clawed arm as he passed by. Screaming in pain the pirate turned around shouting about another attacker, he was surprised however when he saw no one there at all before Robin turned around for a second pass cutting at his back legs this time. The man instinctively fell to his knees now drawing glances from all those around him who had turned to see what he was talking about. Robin cursed angrily as they would likely figure out what was going on soon enough now. With his small furry legs Robin kicked as hard as he could, cutting the air with his leg and sending a rankyaku slicing down Hook's back and knocking him to the ground unconcious.

"It's a ghost!" Some of the men who'd been watching what was going on yelled in fear. "Captain hook was just killed by a ghost! Run!" The men began to run, disorganized now around in panic hoping that they could flee before the angry spirits of the people they'd killed here came back to murder them as well. unfortunately for them many had chosen to run directly to the entrace gate to the fort to escape which was where their marines were waiting with rifles drawn and fired into the escaping crowd slowing their escape. They could handle devil fruits users as opponents but ghosts themselves were too scary especially when the only thing between them was a small number of marines with guns so their presence only halted their movements so many still flooded out trying to leave.

Sergei frowned at Kazuki's plan. These two seriously did not appreciate the value of a stealth attack. But no matter, he was here for McTugBoat and if these two decided to get themselves killed, then so be it. If they were trully regular Marines then their death would certainly be unfortunate but ultimately, necessary. It seemed that Kazuki would take it upon himself to create a distraction while Robin and the inventor would sneak into the compound and start offing people. That seemed like a terrible plan but these two outranked him, which was rather unfortunate, so there was not much that he could do. One thing he could do, however, is decide whether or not he would follow the plan. And for now he would. The doctor watched with amazement as Kazuki activated his powers, producing a bunch of butterflies, creating wings in the process before flying off to cause some chaos. As for Robin, the kid turned into some sort of weasel creature with scythes instead of forearms before scurrying up the tree and disappearing moments later. The marksman whistled silently as the show before turning into a puddle of tar and moving towards the compound, using the shadows of the trees as cover.

Flowing through the space between the slits in the fence like thing, the Marine waited until Kazuki began his distraction before keeping to the shadows and moving away from the commotion. After several minutes of searching, he found what he was looking for. A pirate who was off by himself. Perfect. Nearing the man as said man was leaning against the fence and smoking, Sergei quickly reformed into his human form to the man's side before clamping a hand over the man's mouth. As the man started to struggle, the inventor allowed a small glob of tar to leave his hand and into the man's mouth. The pirate very quickly stopped struggling, his eyes bulging in fear. Turning the majority of his chest into tar, the doctor half absorbed the pirate into him, enough to capture his arms in the sticky goo.

"Now, where's McTugBoat?" the marksman wrote down on his notepad now that both of his arms were free. "I...I....I...I have no idea." the man stammered out. Well, that was unfortunate. Not allowing the man to get any thoughts of escape into his head, the Marine turned his hand into tar and shoved it into the man's mouth, filling his lungs with tar. Soon enough the man stopped struggling and Sergei allowed the dead body to drop to the ground. Turning his body fully human, the inventor dragged the body behind the nearest tent before seeking out his next potential target.

Bodies lay scattered and strewn around while men groaned and writhed, clutching wounds in pain. Dust cast in a small plume as the marine landed amid the broken ranks of the pirate encampment. There were a few faces frozen in confused shock, others warped by pain while more still were locked in the grips of fierce aggression. Intrusions taken too none too kindly. ”I am captain Kazuki D. Gendo of the Underdogs division. I will now be placing you all under arrest, please do come quietly, I would really rather not cause more harm than is necessary.” it didn’t take long for some rash brutes temper to boil over “It ain’t us you need to be worrying about” charging in blade held at the ready as he swung for the navy officer, but it went not even close to his favor the taller of the two swaying too the side as the blade cleaved down and carved into the dirt, the back of a static clad fist slamming into the side of the man’s head and sending him tumbling away.

”Blame fate for abandoning you to the gods of misfortune. I hold no personal grudge it is simply your own bad luck that will have you pay for your crimes today” it seemed those around were none too happy to hear the declaration that this would be their last in a long list of days spent beholden to crime. With a unified roar of denial towards his demands those that had managed to return to their feet or were still standing set upon him, bodies charging in from all sides. Weapons swung at him from seemingly every angle, axes, clubs, swords and spears, they came in all shapes and sizes but none struck with any significant amount of skill. Sparks flew as the first ground against the back of his glove, stepping in and slamming a fist into the man’s chin sending volts coursing through his body.

Stepping on the head of a spear thrust at him he followed through with a heavy hook to the side of the head that had the man soon disarmed, knocking down another as he spun from it and lashed out with a back hand. They were seemingly endless in their numbers, as he stuck with blow after blow, neither mercy nor hesitance to be found in his vocabulary. Gaining some room he plough forth through the blockade of bodies, turning on himself as he broke through, butterflies swarming to his call from within his clothing, shaping discs of wind at his back before in a single movement he cast them into the crowd, battering the those who had so recently sought his head. There was several sickening crunches as they were sent scattering but his aim was to wound rather than kill so while pain was a certainty loss of life very much less so.

Despite their numbers it was starting to look as though he really wasn’t going to have all that much trouble with the infantry for the most part, though the men who had stayed back to guard their respective captain’s still seemed on the verge of deciding whether or not to intervene, so it wasn’t as though all obstacles were yet taken care of. Raising his guard once more he prepared for the second wave of their attack, but didn’t get the chance to receive it as only an instance later he was skittering too the side, a heaving saw blade dropping like a guillotine where he’d been stood only an instant before. “Shark splitter” the only words from the towering figure that had enacted the assault, while the very ground he had struck was left with a chasm stretching from the impact site.

Kazuki was not a small man, but even he found this individual dwarfed him. Upon looking up he saw a face the marine recognized despite the red oni shaped mask that covered it, Rowanoak “The Demon” Haze. Not an especially vicious criminal but a powerful one in his own right, his 40 million beli bounty perhaps was not entirely reflective of his strength since he often tended to keep his actions under the radar. But, upon marine involvement or threat of arrest he was known to go wild, ensuring there was no one left to take him in and no witnesses to carry the legacy. Just what kind of sick tea party was crows running here.

”Ahhhh what terrible luck I have. Running into someone like this here, taking you all on might be a bit too much, I really might end up dying.” “If you understand the situation then you know what comes next, just sit still and I’ll remove that head of yours quick and painless.”

It wasn’t a terrible offer, especially among pirates, no doubt for most these guys the laundry list of things they would want to do to him if they could get him defenseless extended way beyond a simple beheading, you might even call it merciful in it’s own way. And it would certainly take care of all the hassle he had in front of him currently so much work to be done, it was like he couldn’t catch a break these days.

“CUT IM TO PIECES, TEAR IM APART!”

Already the crowd were getting restless, they’d come here for bloodshed and he was the bastard standing in their way, it seemed they weren’t much prepared to put up with the obstacle much longer, though apparently nor were they willing to get rid of him themselves, more than happy to let someone else do it for them though.

”That’s really not too terrible an offer, in another life I just might have taken you up on it but-“ Kazuki’s words were cut off as the huge blade sliced his form in two, splitting the man like her were nothing more than a simple hunk of beef and done so with equal remorse. Or at least it would have split him, had he still been standing there. ”-the life of a marine just isn’t that easy” slamming the orb held by his palm into the man’s gut with enough force that it sent him stumbling back a few steps, spinning violently as it ground into him before with a thunderous crack it erupted, vicious winds sending him sailing away as they carved and sliced at the pirates around.

Robin moved through the crowd cutting down pirates one after another, clearing out the group that had been trying to escape earlier while they screamed about the ghost still chasing them. The idea that he was a ghost was certainly an amusing one to him. However his fun came to an end abruptly as a mysterious force came crashing down hard on him. Suddenly he could no longer stand at all as all his energy had been drained. "Wha..?" He asked before falling to the ground eyes rolling in the back of his head only to see the Crow emerge onto the field. He had no idea how he did it but this had to be the power the pirate possessed and it was a dangerous one at that as he didn't remember ever being touched. They had underestimated him and would soon end up just like the rest. He'd kick his own ass if he could go back in time. They'd entered into this far too readily without being prepared for a situation like this.

As he moved from shadow to shadow, from tent to tent, Sergei was disappointed to find that the majority of the pirates had ran off to see what the commotion was about and those that remained stuck in close groups. Of course he could very well engage one of these groups and beat the information out of them. Unfortunately, doing so would more than likely draw attention to his position and considering that Kazuki was in charge of the distractions, it would be pointless to have to distractions, not that the plan was in any way good in the first place. And while he did not mind killing the pirates, drawing attention to himself would increase the likelihood of McTugBoat running again. Granted that the last time that they have met, things did not end well for the doctor. Back then, their little stealth mission turned into a full on battle and that did not end well for him or Pierson. It was why he was determined to rely on stealth to get him to McTugBoat.

Unfortunately, this was not to be the case. As he began walking to another tent, the marksman was hit rather suddenly with a case of lightheadedness. Stumbling to one knee, the inventor quickly looked around, trying to find the source of this sudden feeling of weakness. He did not recall getting injured or being administered poison and he had eaten breakfast this morning so that was no reason for the weakness. No, it had to do something with outside influence. Was this the work of haki? It could very well be. The Marine never did care much about learning about haki, something that he was coming to regret now. His last thought before passing out was how shitty this plan turned out to be.

The raging winds calmed and in their wake was left scattered bodies of pirate infantry, lacerated and groaning, while others still more sturdy on their feet remained stood braced against the attack of out of range. Kazuki though was left in the midst of it, yet more bodies moving in to take the place of those felled. Nothing but snarling carnivores more than happy to take any opportunity to tear some marine to pieces. He didn’t balk, he did not falter, no matter the situation he would not show fear, that was a man who had died along time ago. And besides the more of them that had their eyes on him the better things were going, even if it did feel as though the odds were spiraling ever further from his favor.

Charging, blade in hand it wasn’t long before a new assailant rose to the challenge, though this one was dressed more conservatively in terms covering than the rest, the majority of flesh on show and a sword and shield in hand he did not seem to be your average pirate as far as kazuki could tell. Instead this was one of those who had been dominated by crows, and one of fewer still who had lived long enough to have their will broken by him, now working for the other side. Guard raise the marine blocked and stumbled backwards as the brunt of the shield slammed into him, twisting his body sideways just in time for a blade to glance by, would have skewered him too had he been moments slower. Precise and powerful he shot a jab at the man’s wrist the pain stalling him long enough to step in and finish the job with an upper cut sparks flying as he did so.

Hands sweeping upward he was jut in time to catch the axe about to be dropped upon him, teeth gritted in exertion as he dropped low and shot a kick at the man’s legs whipping them out from underneath him, a somersault carrying him over into a double footed stomp that landed on his head. Gauntlets covering either side of his face in high guard he swayed lightly on his feet, preventing his next move being anticipated easily before springing on the offense once more, he was decisive in his motions, gauntlets crackling with volted excitement as his fists flew meeting crunching impact with the facial features of those unlucky enough to find themselves in range.

Strike, strike, strike and keep on striking, beat them till they won’t even consider fighting back. It was the only way you could deal with pirates, when they came at you with the desire to kill in the numbers they did and you were the only thing stood against them it was simply a game of domination. Untill they truly believed in their hearts that they had been utterly defeated they would keep on trying and as long as they did that they posed a threat to you and everyone around. Mercy was idiocy, it could get you killed and it could get those around you killed. Of course there was a time and a place for it but only once you were established as the top of the food chain, or else you were only opening yourself up to being taken advantage of.

These were the lessons that had been drilled into him as he rose through the ranks of the marines, the same lessons that had killed off the naïve child who had arrived hoping only to make a positive difference and instead being forced to watch as his comrades he’d only just met were slaughtered en mass. These were the rules that would allow him to avoid making those mistakes again, to put an end to the numbers of men lost beneath him that seemed to rise endlessly. He wasn’t an idiot, of course there were going to be casualties, but it was when the occurred because he knew he hadn’t done everything humanly possible to stop them that he considered himself a failure.

Panting he took pause for a moment, the number of groaning bodies laying littered around him having increased drastically. Yet there were more still, and worryingly enough it seemed that those higher up the food chain were growing bored of simply watching, they had allowed him to progress this far so as to wear himself out against the small fry which he was doing a good job of on his own. But if it continued they were going to intervene which was where it got more troublesome, it would be easier if he knew how far robin and volk had got with their own task though for the moment that was in the wind and nothing he could do to change it.

The sound of a slow steady clap caused him to pause from his thoughts of violence, an all too familiar face appearing from within the shadow. Suddenly he felt as though gravity around him had been drastically amped up, body falling to it’s knee’s of it’s own accord, seemingly sapped of the strength to stand on it’s own. What the fuck was this?

”Take him” A tone that somehow managed to entwine sickening condescent, an indomitable arrogance and an air of complete disregard for the situation in perfect harmony. There was no issue recognizing the source because it was the very same one from which all these problems had arisen but there was no fucking way kazuki was letting him do as he pleased even with this absurd ability weighing down on him. With far more effort than it should have required he summoned butterflies to coalesce around him, forming a battalion of swirling razor edged discs around him, just daring any of the thugs to come even a step nearer. But an audible tutting had him take pause wondering just who it was that questioned his actions.

”Uh uh uh” a wagging finger forcing him to stop ”You make a move, and I’ll execute these two right here and now, that would be a real shame wouldn’t it?” eyes widening kazuki recognised immediately the two bodies in hand, it was Sergei and Robin, both unconscious. Forlorn and defeated the shockwaves dissipated, as he hung his head in surrender.

Robin found himself struggling to wake up. It was like a heavy weight had finally been taken off him and his body was still getting used to the absence of it. As his eyes fluttered open he looked around and found himself trapped in a dark and damp cell with a strong earthy smell coming around him. On his wrists were arm bands of metal which he could feel some strange energy coming from them. He found this troubling and tried to pull them off only to find they had been locked to him with a key. It seemed weird that they wouldn't just use regular handcuffs if they wanted prisoners. In his cell there was that one marine, Kazuki, and 5 others who had been tossed in here.

As he stood up to look around he finally began to realize what happened and where they were. "Kazuki. We got beaten... how? I don't remember anyone even attacking me. I just felt a huge pressure and I fainted." He was hoping Kazuki understood what happened better than him. At least then even if they were beaten they gained information that could be useful. Still though that power was completely frightening, to think a pirate could just wish for you to be beaten and it'd happen. It was no wonder that his bounty was so very high as it was that it put him almost at the level of the super rookies.

"Hey wake up you shits!" came a voice from outside of their cell, a pudgy man with large hairy arms and a gut that hug over his trousers came slapping a cudgel against the bars as he walked out in front of them. "You're all up to fight soon. It'll be 3 rounds. Make it out alive and there will be food here waiting for you. If you die then you won't be needing to eat anyway! Giyayayaya!" The man roared, his belly jiggling from the movement, at his own joke. "First round is easy. Just have to fight two tyranosaurus rexes, second round you fight the marine commander Gannicus the current champion of the pits, third is a death battle only 3 can make it out of. If any more of you then 3 are left after 5 minutes of fighting then we'll just kill you all. Of course I doubt you'll make it past Solas. That man has fought in these pits for 2 months, he's become more animal than man at this point."

A groan escaped Sergei's lips as he came to, struggling to roll over onto his stomach. It was at about that moment that he found that he was clasped in irons. There was a bit of irony of a Marine being treated like a pirate. Truth be told, the inventor was not entirely sure why he was being treated as a prisoner considering that he should not have been identified as a Marine. Unless they had found his orders. There was a moment of panic as the doctor reached into his inside pocket and found the papers still there. Being as stealthy as he could, he took them out just enough to make sure that they were actually the papers instead of something random that his captors have stuck in there. Granted that while his papers were still there, that did not mean that they did not read them and stuck them back in. It would probably be better to assume that they did but act like they have not. All in all, keeping attention from himself would be the best idea all around. Sitting up, the marksman noticed that Robin, Kazuki, and the rest of the Marine gang that still remained alive were here as well. What a great plan indeed.

Getting to his feet, Sergei waited for a few moments before moving to allow the dizziness to disappear from his mind. Before he could do much of anything else, the group inside the cell were graced by a rather rotund man who was their jailer. It appeared that they would be fighting for their food. That did not sound like too much fun, though he could feel his stomach growling, which was understandable considering that it has been a while since he had eaten. Personally, he had no problem fighting the other Marines if that meant that he would remain alive and have another chance at McTugBoat. Speaking of McTugBoat, the inventor's current position was very reminiscent of the one he had been way back when. And just like the other time, he was not entirely fond of this situation either. But just like back then, he had to do what needed to be done. If that meant cutting down his fellow Marines, so be it. Although if he could get the others to fight amongst themselves so that he did not have to do the dirty work himself, that would be much preferable.

Though his disposition became submissive the flames of defiance did not ebb for even a second in kazuki’s gaze, glaring on while the intent to kill radiated from his body. His comrades had been knocked unconscious, taken hostage and had their lives threatened, that was far from something he would take lightly and there was not a person in the vicinity who did not know it. Though crows told his men to slap on the cuffs there was an ambient hesitance, none wanting to be the first to step forward, to draw closer to the wounded tiger, said to be at it’s most dangerous when cornered. But when one finally did make the approach kazuki indeed did stay his hand, there would be consequence but it would not be paid just yet.

Cuffs were slapped on his wrists, cuffs that seemed to drain from his what small reserves of energy he had left while suffering from the pressure that weighed upon his body. Jeers and cat calls erupted from the surrounding crowd, happy to see the one who had assaulted their comrades so recently put in his place, many calling for blood though crows calmed them with promises of all coming in due course. A procession led towards what could only be considered holding cells, Kazuki thrown in along with the limb bodies or robin and sergei, left to rot until they found some other use for them presumably.

It was dank, decrepit and smelled like rotting flesh. Clearly the rest who had been condemned here had been done so for an extended period much longer than any of the new comers, or at least that was as much as could be deduced from the smell of things. The light of hope was gone from their eyes, as though they had witnessed things, committed acts that they could not come back from. It was hard to believe that any of these men had been former marines though he knew it to be true, and even worse than that was knowing those who worked under the same flag as him had been put through such atrocities. This pirate really was one unforgivable bastard!

”Morning Sleeping beauty” kazuki’s expression and tone far warmer and more jovial than it had any right to be given their current setting. ”Sah, sah, who knows. If it was a poison it was like nothing I’ve ever encountered, and if it was a devil fruit ability I’m at a loss when it comes to understanding it. But all that matters is it’s not necessary for him to touch you, all you need to do is be within range of crows and he can crush your physical stamina, knocking you out or in my case fatigue you almost entirely. On the bright side at least we know it has some kind of limits.” looking at a silver lining that was almost entirely meaningless given their current predicament, nor did it offer up many options for countering it, though that really was something made much more relevant after they escaped this cell along with freeing their brethren.

There was it seemed no rest for the wicked, or in this instance perhaps no rest given by them, a rotund slob swaggering his way over and giving a run down of the days events, they being the new central spectacle in this world of blood sport which was of course an appealing prospect for anyone. ”Will the dinosaurs be wearing cups?” “Shut your mouth smart arse before I crack that head like an egg” Slamming the side of the cage with a truncheon that resulted in an ear pounding ringing, it seemed froma an outside perspective as though kazuki were being sarcastic which was a reasonable conclusion really but in fact he was just a little worried for salvation. After all they were probably in this no more through their own volition than anyone else, it seemed unfair that they should be subjected to robins own personal brand of reptile based justice. Yeeesh, it gave him a shiver down his spine just thinking about it.

”You think you could maybe refrain from collecting their genitals this time?” a slew of odd looks shot their way from those around, It seemed being subjected to grueling persecution endlessly day after day wasn’t even enough to desensitize you to wanton castration. Made you somewhat wonder what kind of twisted depravity made a person do it of their own accord. The name solas didn’t ring much of a bell, but knowing there was a marine commander here who had been victimized to the brink of insanity was enough to add another objective to his list, though the idea that they would be fighting one another very shortly was not one that brought him any sort of pleasure. His instant reaction was too abstain, to not raise a hand against a bother but that was simply naive and foolish not to mention would only get him beaten up and help no one. He was going to have to think of a more effective plan on the fly but one way or another he’d need to make the man regain his senses.

Beyond that there was only subduing crow and getting out of here neither of which he had any sort of stratagem for just yet but one thing at a time was the best approach for now. Bad lock clinking as key twisted within it the games master opened the cell door, herding out those necessary for the first event as motley a crew as had ever been one. This first round would be a good chance to account for just which faces it was that were here. Crows was of course the main priority but he was not the only target, this was a decent opportunity to round up several larger names at once, and while it wouldn’t make up for their failure at reverse mountain it would at least set them up in the right direction.

Robin sighed. He supposed thats what he'd become, the dinosaur genital collector. "I make no promises" He said attempting to turn his arms into the kamaitachi bladed arms but found he was unable to transform at all. "Well fuck. It seems like these are made of seastone. Should have guessed that actually." Well this was really bad for Robin at least since his zoan offered him quite the edge in a fight and now he had no way to use it. Fortunately it wasn't all bad as he was close to becoming a rokushiki master. "I suppose I will have to refrain from neutering these ones we're going to have to fight."

Balling his fist he punched the iron bars of the cell they were held in only to pull back with a curse and rub his fist. "Damn it! That hurt!" He had been pissed off at first but now he was pissed off with a sore hand. "We fucking fell right into that trap and now we're going to have to fight for their amusement and against other marines too and each other. This is so fucked up. I don't want to have to hurt you Kazuki. Do you have any idea what we're going to do? Please tell me you've got something because other than igniting a slave rebellion at some point I can't think of shit and that sounds like we'll be fighting at a disadvantage in this situation since these are seastone."

From the back the other prisoners started to get restless as they heard the conversation. While they still had hopes of escaping they didn't trust these new guys to be some sort of heros and they had survived this long. They didn't want some marines thinking they could just come in here solo and save the day after all this. "Shut up you idiots. If you try any shit they'll kill us all and we're not dying for you guys to try some stupid plan." Right now Robin was worried they'd have to fight these guys right now as all of them started to get to their feet angrily as if they planned on starting a fight right at this moment.

Just as things were about to get heated however the sound of a lock opening and a squeaky iron door being opened caught his attention. Turning around the fat bastard and several others were all gathered at the cell like guards. Their cell was open at this point however and it was clear what exactly they wanted. "Get out now dogs and fight. If you don't you can die in your cages."

At the mention of seastone cuffs that were clasped around Robin's wrists, Sergei checked his own. Fortunately, he did not feel any weakness that were usually the sign that the devil fruit user was interacting with seastone. A very quick test, turning his palm into tar, revealed that the cuffs were regular metal. Which was fortunate. It seemed that he still had an ace up his sleeve, that being that no one aside from Robin and Kazuki knowing that he was a logia. The only other person who knew was dead. Granted his lungs were filled with tar but even if the man was found and given an autopsy, who would connect the tar to him? They would probably think that it was another one of Robin's tricks. The question now was when to reveal that he had the power. He would need to be very careful, relying on his weapons to defend himself. Speaking of weapons, the inventor wondered if they would be given their weapons back for the fights or would they be bare handed fights. Or perhaps they would be given some standard weapons. Probably no ranged weapons though, unless they had a way of protecting the viewers from them.

As he considered the upcoming fights, the doctor caught notice of the other prisoners being agitated by something that Robin and Kazuki had said. Unfortunately, the marksman was not paying attention to their lips at the time and as such did not know what was said. Further more, the other prisoners were in the darker part of the cells so reading their lips proved a useless venture as well. However, that ended up not really mattering when the door to their cell was opened. It seemed that it was time. Unless someone was given a weapon with seastone, Sergei was pretty sure that he would be able to survive this round just fine. However, he would loath to use his powers this early. But, it was still nice to know that he had a back up plan, one that would most likely go off without a hitch. Then again, the pirates knew that Robin and Kazuri both possessed devil fruits and would certainly make sure that there would be a way to combat them to make for more fun fights. That thought was not very pleasant. Either way, this day would be bathed in blood, whether or not it would be his own, that was another question altogether.
