info on the ship/island general rule "It's nearly dark out, or it should be in a few hours. All the thugs will be out by the time I get there. Not much time has passed since I've been to Cactus. There couldn't have been much of any change since the last time I was here." Fudo said in a low tone, almost muttering to himself. Sitting within the brig of the Marine vessel he commandeered weeks ago, Fudo stared at the forward facing windows in a trance. In one of the chairs facing the front of the vessel, he sat, with a bottle of bourbon in hand. He hadn't started drinking yet, but he was certainly in a mood to desire too. With the bourbon clutched in his right hand, he remained motionless. Slouched forward in his seat, his forehead was firmly planted against the glass. His eyes were wide open, and glazed over with a look of fear. "Has it been a year, a year since I was last drawn to this place? Who knows, all I know is that my body still aches because of this place. My throat, my arms, my head, my chest. They all burn right now." The S.S Centennial Sword, moved at it’s usual sluggish pace towards the island. A thick smog filled the air outside the ship. Choppy waters and engine stutters were all that was heard for the most part. The exterior of the ship had begun to show signs of wear, as the paint flaked off and wooden deck swelled with water and blood. The dry air from the island was far reaching, causing the climate around the island to be arid as well. As the ship approached the island, Fudo watched in terror as he began to see shore breaking through the smog. The ship began picking up speed and eventually began to scrap it’s way across some coral beds below. Pulling his head from the glass window, Fudo turned his body, and the chair toward the captains chair and controls. Having become loosely familiar with the ships controls, he stood up; bottle still in hand. Walking slowly, he moved towards the the control panel. Leading with his left foot, he stepped over the small amount of stairs that presented themselves just before the control panel. Passing over them, he turned to his right and looked down at the various buttons. “It was this one right? Yea, it was...” he said while dropping a single finger on a red button. “With the engines halted, I should be able to have this ship crawl to shore; eventually.” Turning his head enthusiastically to the bottle in hand, he placed it on the control panel. “I can’t let my feelings absorb me. I’m here for now, I have to make the best of it. I have to put my feelings behind me. No more wallowing, no more sorrow, we only move forward now. Don’t forget that Fudo. Don’t forget where you’ve come from, don’t forget where you’ve been. Focus on who you are.” Walking to his room as quickly as he could, without running, he walked to his night stand. Pulling out a large book he had found while aboard the vessel, he had labeled it “Tragedies of War” in black ink. Opening the book, he turned to the first page. Looking at the blank sheet, he smiled. Pulling a pen from the nightstand, he tapped it on the page, then proceeded to sit on his bed. “What am I? What will I live by. I should make this page the about section.” placing the pen on the paper he began to write as he spoke aloud what he wrote. “About The Author, underline, space, indent. Fudo Saiken, a traveler from the famous Island of Lougetown. He is a man with a jaded past, darker than even he would like to admit. He was once a free spirited martial artist, with his mind set on bringing fame to his family name. A man with a just cause, even if it were shallow. But now, Fudo is no more than a fugitive on the run, from the government. Space, center, Personal Alignment, underline, space, indent. Fudo Saiken, a person who no longer believes in the World Government. I am someone who now actively rebels against the oppressive reach of the government. I am a free spirited fighter who will do good by his own standards. Many don’t have a problem with the greater system in laws put in place by the World Government as most are unaffected; but the order put in place is no more than a leash on the lives of those who keep the WG in power. The only way to better the lives of those around us, is to firstly overthrow the corruption that controls us. There is no time better than now to fight the good fight. There are no better lives to save than your fellow man. Space, center, Chaotic Neutral, underline. Sounds good to me for now, at least if it is only a draft. Pretty cool to be honest. Chaotic Neutral, sounds like me.” By the time Fudo had finished writing, the ship had slowed and struck the shore of Catus. Now with it’s nose planted in the sand, it was time for him to embark once more, onto the land of mourning. "No fear, Cactus. I have no fear." Edited by Fudo Saiken, Feb 17 2015, 05:03 PM.

Keiko felt relaxed with the suns disappearance. She's been standing on the beach, stretched her arms and legs, and twisted her body left and right until she heard the little cracks in her neck. When she heard the little cracks made her feel jolly as she laughed, "Kukukuku," which was followed by a new giggle, "swee swee swee." Keiko heard Kuro shuffle in the sand beside her as he shoved food into his mouth. She looked about at all the other shapes around, and felt awkward. she didn't like this feeling, it was as if she was being watched by someone standing in from of her, but no one was there. This feeling was dark and made little droplets go to her eyes. Her stomach turned. "I have a bad feeling about this place." Keiko picked up a seashell that had been scratched up and discolored. She placed the shell on her head, removed her Nodachi from her sheath and raised her sword into the air, claiming it her island. Then Keiko wiggled her head dropping the shell to the ground. She climbed onto Kuro's back and closed her eyes to listen, but heard nothing out of the ordinary. She grasped the long black fur on Kuro's back, her face by his left ear. She knew that if she latched onto Kuro this way, on lookers would see her a giant bunny wearing a long crimson cape, and not her. She was shy that way, and didn't want to deal with the shivery feeling of being watched. Her eyes waved over the island in awe. Keiko whispered silently to Kuro as he walked slowly in the sand. "So this is Cactus Island." There were strange shapes in the distance. Some were round and shaped perfectly, while the other shapes either curved like the shapes of cactus's or human like figures. Keiko tried to focus to listen. She just heard sniffles and wailing, but didn't want to know where it was coming from. "This place makes me feel drained..." She let out a crooked smile and laughed lightly with a gentle, "KUKUKU." She thought of something that could be energetic and filled with blood. She smiled at Kuro, he looked at her, and then they were still for a moment. They knew what each other was thinking that's why they were still. Kuro reached his paw slowly to the back of Keiko's neck. Kuro made sure he had a firm grip, and then threw her off with a huff. Keiko looked back at Kuro as if betrayed when he laughed at her, but then the creepy feeling returned and she fell silent. |

Spoiler: click to toggle Cactus Island, the graveyard island, was renowned for its many religious and philosophical views. Unfortunately, none of those emotional concepts even remotely interested Jasmine Crete. She had seen far too many people die on the operating table to still believe in a higher power. She wasn’t a pure cynic, though, and she appreciated the thought that religions offered people some closure. It would be so nice if she could, even for a moment, share that peace of mind. Through the girl’s brain a thousand thoughts drifted like the sands of this desert island in a squall. Mathematical formulas plagued her thoughts, and caused her to stagger from time to time while walking the streets. She had managed to secure passage over Reverse Mountain easy enough, but she was still quite far from her ultimate goal. The God’s Coil eluded her. No matter how she tried to balance the systems in place with her mind, she couldn’t see it working. A source of energy as limitless as the tides, surely such a thing couldn’t exist in this world… But she had heard rumor of it. Stories passed down generation from generation told tales of the famous treasure One Piece sitting at the end of the Grand Line, but there were other legends as well. Jasmine was certain that if the God’s Coil existed, it’d be found in the New World. Thus she set out on this terrible terrible journey, and now she was stuck. It seemed there was no ferry or passenger ship going from Cactus to the next island, Little Garden, anytime soon. At best she could hope for a three month detour traveling South to Gesso and circling around Little Garden completely. She’d have been fine with this roundabout method if it wasn’t for the massive wait time between passages. It seems that she’d have to wait at least a week on each island before being able to take off and that was unacceptable. Perhaps the girl was being a bit too hasty, but she had a dream. She came to the Blue Seas to explore and discover as much about this world as possible, and she was eager to get started adventuring. She couldn’t accept sitting by idly while some other hunter of the Coil could get ahead of her… Jasmine, lost in her thoughts, accidentally bumped into a priest from the Cactithedral. He held a high rank in the order, apparently, based on his dress. He wore a jeweled white mitre on his head and his face was covered with a silken veil. The priest and Jasmine both fell to the dirt. The man, with an outrageous frown, jumped to his feet and began yelling at the girl. “You sinner! Repent for what you’ve done! How dare you touch a hair on my head. I’m a Cardinal! I’ll have you in chains for that!” Cried the priest. Jasmine climbed to her feat, albeit more slowly than the outraged religious zealot, and she began dusting off her cloak. It seemed the man wouldn’t let her off with just a simple tongue lashing. All she had done was bump into him by accident, though. Why was he getting so heated over this? Still, it seemed his outburst had drawn quite a few eyes on her. Jasmine was at a loss for what to do. Normally she’d have torn this ‘priest’ a new asshole, but he was probably someone held in high regard on this island and she wanted nothing more than to leave this forsaken land. “Listen, sir, I’m sorry…” Jasmine tried to apologize but was quickly cut off by the religious man’s ranting. “I think you might have even injured me! I’ll have your head, do you know who I am? Don’t even try to brush this off! You probably broke one of my ribs!” Jasmine’s face turned into a scowl rather quick. She was an expert at appraising injuries, she was a doctor after all, and she was one hundred percent certain the priest was spouting bullshit. A migraine was forming behind her left eyebrow and she tuned out the man’s voice for a moment. Her right hand caressed her forehead softly and she closed her eyes. “You’re not injured at all.” Said Jasmine. Her voice was sharp, like the sound of rocks dropping. “What!” Cried the priest. It seemed he wasn’t going to just let things go. “I’m a doctor and I said you’re not injured.” Said Jasmine as she opened her eyes and met his stare. Her voice was filled to the brim with quiet anger. Edited by KileyBarker, Feb 17 2015, 08:04 PM.

Together Alice traveled the waters f the paradise known as the Grand line with Ookami and Kuro. They had spent some time together back on Red Sand Island but in the time that they spent while cooped up on the Reclaimed Beast Blood ship, they really didn't learn much about each other. Alice tended to the more demanding jobs like maintaining the ship. Ookami and Kuro spent time making the meals, and what not. Ookami spent most of her time at night while Alice moved around during the day as she slept. They understood each other just fine and respected the other for their talents. Alice fore one didn't care for Ookamis' tsundere and emotionless antics. The tall Ruby red head did not enjoy the antics that the even bigger black bunny did as well. They were minor annoyances so they could be forgiven and passed off as nothing to really spend energy or thought on. They made it to the meeting place Fudo had sent for them to meet at Cactus Island. Somehow they managed this all without really knowing how to navigate the waters o the world. They had made it and landed at the infamous land of bounty hunters, religious freaks, and other scum. Together the three of them had been there for a day and now it was growing dark so Alice volunteer to go into town to scout out this Fudo. Ookami gave her a good enough description of the man so finding him would be rather easier instead of going around shouting out his name as if looking for a lost child or dog. Alice dressed in her typical wedge heel combat boots, baggy cargo pants, bicycle chain belt with a thick lock, tight turtle necks sleeveless tank top and her backpack. The only change about her was while on the ship she had opted to change her hair from dreadlocks to letting it flow naturally. Now it looked like her hair was shimmering silky straight, wavy, curly, kinky mess that was kept tame by a strip of emerald green fabric. The fabric kept her hair in a pony tail all the while being typed into a cute bow. That was something Ookami opted to do but although Alice originally disliked it, it was cute and it was growing on her. As she traveled along the surprisingly busy streets, she noticed a priest and a cloaked figure bump into each other, sending them both to the ground. The priest got up in a hurry and seemed to be very upset for some reason. It seemed to be a simple accident after all. The cloaked figure got up a bit slower and simply dusted herself off. Alice could tell it was a girl or guessed at seeing the hands and caught a glimpse at the face. She also noticed green hair as well. Moving in to take a closer look out of pure curiosity, The fourteen plus tall ex-marine turned Pirate watched the priest man seem to throw a temper tantrum of sorts all the while the girl seemed to try and appologive but then the man started screaming about having broken ribs and stuff. This sort of thing was not becoming of a figure so, Alice choose to step in and so reached out with her left hand, placing it on the priest's right shoulder and giving him a very tight grip all the while leaning down so that her mouth what at level with the priest's ear. "I think enough is enough Father. One such as yourself in your position takes a lot of responsibility and are held at a higher standard. I do not think your sheep will think too highly of you if they see you continue acting like a spoiled child." Alice might of seemed like she was just giving him a nice words of advice given how she had her eyes closed and a wide dullahan smile on her face but the priest and the cloaked figure could tell that she was really giving a warning to stop before he ended up joining his creator sooner than he would like. |

Closing the book, Fudo began to prepare himself for his departure from the Marine Vessel. Having been nearly naked throughout the time between Augus leaving and the ship making contact with the island, Fudo sought out stylish apparel. "I collected most of the clothes from the ship that were cool, even if most were pretty scrubby, I think what I've made of them is alright!" Rising off of the bed, Fudo still tightly gripped the the book; which was now in his left hand. Walking along the edge of the bed, he dropped the book at the very foot of the mattress, before making a beeline for the closet. Reaching it in only a few long strides, he opened the metal outer casing; revealing many outfits hung throughout. Tilting his head slightly to the left, he ran his right finger along the hanger tops that rested on a high metal bar. The bar itself was just above Fudo's eyes, and seemed to have been propped there recently due to there being large holes just a few inches under the bar. "Ah that's the one, this outfit in particular has been growing on me!" he said with a upbeat tone, while gripping one of the center-most top hangers. The one that he removed supported a large leather vest with a large short fur collar. The left-most part of the collar near to the zipper had two clips to fasten it to the adjacent half of the collar. The fur itself was blackish, and lined the insides of the vest. The outside of the vest was entirely black, it had a bright silver zipper that was accompanied by a silver zipper slider, that had a small chain with a circular skull on it. The left hand side of the vest had a pocket that's opening was adjacent to the zipper. Along the sides were two zippers that when un-zippered would reveal pockets. On the inner right and left sides of the best would be breast pockets. The vest itself was was about waist length. Also on the hanger were a plain black tank top, and long red and black army printed pants. Nodding in glee at the outfit, he placed the hanger on the bed. Opening a chest that was at the foot of the bed, he pulled out a duffel bag, his leg armor, and combat boots. After a few minutes of dressing and grooming, Fudo flung the duffel bag over his shoulder. Withing the duffel bag was his armored legs, the small journal, some water bottles, a comb, a group of pens, and some bandages. Dashing off into the passageway that lead to the brig; his heavy combat boots echoing through the halls. Making his way to the control panel he pressed a pair of buttons that dropped the two anchors the ship had. With that, he made his way out of the final passageway onto the deck. Giving a last look at the vessel, which shined in the white light of the moon, he ran to the front of the ship and jumped with all of his might; in order to land on the shore. "Showtime Cactus!" Keiko sat in the sand and for the first time, she actually paid attention to her black boots that ended just before her knees. She traced her silver buckles with her finger tips before realizing that her shoes were untied. Keiko carefully tied her laces slowly, repeating in her head the part about the bunny ears, that was her favorite part. Keiko tied her laces tight before changing to the next boot. Then she made sure her cape was secure, and pulled her hood down, letting her hair out. Her black wings of hair on both sides of her head was touched by light for the first time in a long time. Keiko pushed her hands into the sand and let it fall through her palms slowly as if measuring time. She blinked once twice, and remembered those strange forms in the distance. "I don't like being watched..." Keiko was so distracted that when she looked back for Alice she was no where in sight. Keiko began to have negative thoughts, there was no way that she was going to walk into a big crowd of cactus's and stalkers alone. there was Kuro of course but he was a giant bunny, she needed someone to talk on her behalf, someone who wasn't shy. She admired Alice who was straight to the point and let everyone know what's what. she scanned the beach for her red hair, or anything red for that matter. Her eyes were drawn to the color, but they ended up falling back on her cape. Keiko huffed in still anxiety. Her eyes focused on the figures in the distance. Many of the figures were still as death and awkward as she is, but the others were shifting and moving as a pace she didn't like. Keiko wiped the sand off her, it was so normal in color and texture to the red sand she remembered the last. "Kuro isn't this just dull." Her companion let out a gurgle. Kuro, he understood. Keiko's ears flickered when she heard something, that just wasn't there before. It took her a moment to realize the sound was emitting from somewhere off the side. Keiko and Kuro turned to search out the noise. She saw another figure on the beach that was dressed like some kind of circus performer, in the sense that it was stylish, but different. Her eyes saw the figure wearing black fur and hoped that the wearer hadn't skinned Lanphans for a living. Keiko smiled at Kruo who thought the same with that worried expression. "You know Kuro that fur looks as soft and glossy as yours!" She knew of course that it couldn't be so due to the fact that those bunnies were normally white, but Kuro was special. Kuro on the other hand was still nervous, and refrained from laughing. Keiko returned serious when she realized that he hadn't known that she was messing with him. Keiko picked herself up hopping to avoid confrontation with the individual not to far off, but something about the figure was odd. She felt as if she knew the figure somewhere...somehow. Her eyes narrowed and scanned him several times. Whoever it was hadn't seen her yet. She ignored the boat he had come from because she saw no one else aboard but then he said something that caught her attention. he hadn't spoken to her, but it was his voice that triggered a remembrance of sorts. "It couldn't be...Fudo Saiken." She thought to herself of the captain that they were searching for. The one she remembered with bright red hair, and furs, and kind of a powerful guy. Now she looked at the figure with his dull brown hair and scars. Not even the black fur he was wearing could cover that up, but the style kind of matched before. She couldn't believe that he had survived if scars like that but when he spoke he was energetic as always like nothing had happened to him at all. She was scared that if she made this one mistake and the figure was not him, then she might be in some kind of trouble, but she called out anyway. "Captain! Captain Fudo! Is that you?" |

The priest looked mad enough to explode. His face was so red he resembled a ripened tomato. Just as he was about to rebuttal and begin his verbal onslaught anew, an interloper stepped in. Jasmine, about to tell the person who just butted in that she could handle it, choked on her words. At a height of 14 feet, this woman couldn't possibly be human. The self-titled scientific genius simply stared, jaw agape, for a moment as her neck continued to crane backwards in an effort to meet the eyes of this giantess. It seems the priest himself was experiencing the same shock and awe moment because not a single sound came from him bar a lone whimper as he retreated off towards the Cactithedral with his metaphoric tail between his legs. After the surprise that someone this tall actually exists faded, Jasmine recollected her thoughts. She quickly tightened up her expression and put on a calm and kindly face. Not only had this towering gal brought an end to her pointless conflict, she had piqued Jasmine's interest 1000 times over. 'I want to study her~' Thought the girl. "Uh, thank you." Said Jasmine after a momentary pause. "Thank you very much." Her voice was soft but sincere. She was expressing genuine thanks, which was rare considering her nature. "I... I'm Jasmine. Jasmine Crete." She stuttered on her introduction because her mind wasn't entirely focused. She was thinking thousands of thoughts, and processing hundreds of hypotheses running rampant in her mind. Was she part giant? How could a human reproduce with a giant in the first place? Perhaps fishman genotypes? Jasmine had never seen a fishman before but she'd read that they could grow to amazing sizes, and that their DNA allowed them immense genetic diversity even within familial bonds. Maybe it was a mutation? Perhaps something brought on by science? Jasmine folded the hood of her cloak back, letting her green hair and Skypiean antennae loose, before offering her right hand to Alice for a handshake. Edited by KileyBarker, Feb 19 2015, 12:12 AM.

Alice let the priest go from her death grip upon his shoulder, still showing her duel meaning of a smiling face. the man went from beet red to a ghost white at the look of her and it could have also been due to her grip on him as well considering she could shatter iron with ease after hours upon hours of training. He quickly and silently nodded to Alice before running off in a manner to make it not look as if he was running away scared like a dog with it's tail between it's legs. Alice reasoned it was perhaps a way of saving face after his already reputation blow due to his own actions. Maybe it could have been a show of manliness as running away from a woman would make him seem less of a man. Whatever the reason, he still got away and gone inside a large and towering cathedral, slamming the hard wooden door closed. Her attention was then driven back to the girl before her. She knew people were looking at her, it had been a common everyday thing for her. The girl spoke saying in a honest way that she was thankful and then declared her name being Jasmine Crete. Alice had in the mean time while the priest was running away stood back up to full height, as well as shifting her body to a more relaxed position. left arm hanging loose by her side as the right was stuck partially inside a the front pants pocket with only the thumb sticking out. She also shifted so that her total combined weight was not mostly on her left leg. Looking down towards the girl, Alice noticed that her glimpse before was true, that the girl did indeed have green hair. It seems to be of a jade green and done up in a modified bob style. however, the hair was not the most interesting thing, it was the thin black strings poking out from her head. At first Alice thought they were just really unruly hairs but then upon closer study, they were antennae. This interested Alice as she had heard of humanoid beings having them but could not recall what race. "Hello Jasmine, and you are welcomed. Was passing by and just noticed the disturbance out of curiosity. Not sure what really happened but, I have learned it is best to not upset the locals." Alice then extended her own right hand and tried to share in the formal greeting standard of a handshake but this was the another thing as Alice's hand simply engulfed Jasmine's. After the handshake was over, Alice continued saying, "Oh, and my name is Alice Joan Cooper the third but you can just call me Alice. What brings you to this breeding ground of fine individuals and ever looming cacti?" The part about fine individuals was said with a slight alteration to her feminine but lower pitched and slightly growl voice. This alteration was to show a bit of sarcasm in light of recent event and the fact that this was the home for bounty hunters and a known local where people would throw parties for new comers only to sell them out and raid ships. Basically, another place that only the brave and foolish pirates would venture. |

The high drop from the ship caused his feet to dig into the sand, Fudo noted the the heat still emanating from the sand. the island was so arid and hot that it wouldn't immediately cool. "Bastard island, sand still as hot as hell..." barely finishing his thought verbally, he heard a familiar voice calling out to their captain in the distance. Fudo's ears perked, and he did give it notice. "Pshh, my mind is going off again, making me think it's Keiko..." scoffing to himself, he stopped as he heard the voice call him by name. "Keiko?" fudo turned his head toward the direction of the voice. To his surprise he could see a figure in the distance that appeared to look similar to his former crew mate and her laphan! Fudo was instantly elated and a feeling of joy welled up inside of him. There was no mistaking that he saw Keiko and her ruby red eyed pet Laphan. Fudo was like a child in his response, so happy and excited. "Keiko! I can't believe it! I'm coming! Wait right there!" With a massively wide grin and a few tears welling in his eyes, he morphed into his hybrid form and dashed at the the woman with incredible speed! He ran so fast in fact that he left a trail of sand in the air behind him. Running hard and fast, his arms swiftly pumping while his tail whipped behind him. Just the sight of the black abyss known as Kuro made Fudo feel even more joy. Even in the night, Kuro stood out, he's fucking darker than night!"I missed you you damn rabbit monster, ugh!" he said while jumping and lunging at the pair. "It's me Fudo!" Grabbing ahold of Keiko, he pulled her into his arms! Grabbing her tightly enough for her to not escape, falling to the floor for a moment Fudo seemingly cradled his friend for a moment before jumping up at Kuro with Keiko still in his arm. "I've missed you two, I can't believe I found you! How, how did you here!" Pressing himself and Keiko against the large rabbit, he held the pair tightly! Kuro's warm fur warming Fudo while softly comforting him. Setting Keiko down, he stared at the two with a wide grinning and equally smiling eyes. "I can't believe this, it must be fate! I never would have thought that I was being drawn to you guys! How did you know that I was here! Did you even know I was here? Where is everyone else, how, how are you doing, it's just been too long Kehahahaha!" pausing a moment Fudo realized that he was overly excited, and that his feelings were appearing to be rather overbearing. His head was angled forward so much he nearly was face to face with the Laphan. Quickly pulling himself backward, and taking a step or two back, he raised his right hand to his mouth and coughed. "Mhmmm, excuse me. What I meant to say was, what's up? It's been awhile. How's it going. How's our ship?" Fudo tried to keep a cool compose, but he still had a few tears of joy on his face. tech |

The figure ran at them with full speed. Fudo Saiken, as the figure must have been because he yelled out her name. Keiko began to panic and hold her hands out in front of her because he responded so quickly, but her guard was no good. When their Captain came sprawling out to greet them his appearance changed. Fudo was a zoan too, he resembled some kind of massive feline. Keiko was afraid to move when he hugged them. Afraid that his immense strength would snap her spine or tear her cape any more than it had been. When Fudo had succeeded in his powerful embrace, she felt as if all the air had been squeezed out of her little body. Nonetheless she was more than happy to see him. Kuro was laughing heartily as if he had just enough food for life. They hugged Fudo back, happy he was alive and had not changed. He really was joyous and energetic. Keiko smiled at him when they were back on their feet. Kuro was so overjoyed that he had latched on to Fudo and continued to hug him. Kuro licked Fudo's face and stroked his hair with his paws. "It's been forever! You're a zoan now! Actually Robin told us where you were. It was no luck, we came here to search for you. Actually I came here with Alice, a powerful raptor zoan. But unfortunately Robin died helping us escape Red Sand Island. I'm sorry for your loss. What's with this island anyway, there's a lot of creepy mourners here, and a lot of cactus. I've had this creepy feeling so I refrained from leaving the beach, but now that your here we can go looking for Alice. She's tall, like really tall with long red hair. Shouldn't be too difficult to find with all the priests." Keiko pointed to the figures in the distance that appeared to be watching them under their hoods, unless it were a bunch of cactus's. Kuro nodded and whined because he too felt unsafe in this eerie place. Kuro kept stroking the captains hair and then laughing as if he wasn't doing this at all. Keiko took Kuro's hand away, and dragged Kuro to her side. "Stop trying to make me jealous. You're my shadow not his." Then Keiko and Kuro just laughed because they were just joking. |

Jasmine gawked as her hand was engulfed by Alice's. Perhaps it was the feeling of skinship that helped clear her head a bit. She was certain, now, that this wasn't a dream. There really was a 14 foot tall woman shaking her hand. This was real; this was happening. "What brings me here?" Jasmine repeated the question softly as she gathered her thoughts. It was the one skill she took the most pride in: thinking before she spoke. It wouldn't do to go telling stories of pirates and impossible goals like the God's Coil. Jasmine herself thought too little of her own dream to just put it out in the open on a whim. She decided to tell the truth but not the whole truth at that moment. "Well, I'm a doctor from Skypiea and I came down to the Blue Seas for research purposes." Said Jasmine as she began running her right hand through her hair and lightly flicked her antennae. Her hand movement was simple unconscious motion in an attempt to keep her nerves from getting the better of her. It took all her willpower to not outright ask about Alice's height then and there. All things in due time~ "As for why I'm on this island specifically... Well I'm stuck here. I'm trying to get to Water 7 and catch a ride over the Red Line to the place you Blue Sea people call The New World. I've heard rumors of fantastic miracle surgery skills, magical pills, and lifelike prosthetic limbs. I want to find out if those rumors are true and, if they are, learn those skills myself." It was a bit long winded but it was mostly true. She purposefully left out mention of The God's Coil and her idolization of pirate culture. Such things could possibly hit a nerve with someone. Now that Jasmine had fully introduced herself, though, it was her turn to ask some questions. It took everything she had not to drool as the words she so longed to say rolled off her lips. "So why are you here and how is it you're so tall?!" Jasmine's voice was filled with excitement and a tiny bit of obsessiveness. Her eyes were sparkling. She really loved medical oddities like this, and she wasn't going to leave the elephant in the room alone. Sometimes you just had to grab the elephant by the trunk and pull, after all. The handshake lasted for a moment longer then it needed, mostly due to the efforts of Jasmine. When the female let go, Alice once again stood up at full stature to await the answer to her previously asked simple question. Thankfully the crowd around them had already dispersed a bit now that they knew nothing interesting was going to happen. A few stragglers stayed a bit longer as a way to see what would happen between the green haired girl and the amazonian tall red head that looked like she could crush a human skull with ease. There were a few seconds between the time that passed at the point of the handshake ending and the point when Jasmine finally answered her question. When she did, the ruby redhead with piercing emerald green eyes and pale skin noticed her body language as it showed signs of uneasy and nervousness. there was also the fact that she seemed to play with her hair while responding, something that people tended to do when lying. Jasmine said she was here in the blues and looking to go to The New World to research myths of medical things. Alice gathered most of what the skypean woman was saying was true but there were a few things the girl was trying to hide as well. The admitting to being a skypian jogged her mind on what it was. She had heard rumors in the marines that there was a race of beings who had unusual aspects like being human but part butterfly or dragonfly. They could fly around and such but then, that was when Alice noticed it, this woman before her did not have any wings showing. As such, she uncontiously leaned over as to inspect the girl and see if she had them hidden or something. as she looked, she spoke saying, "Ah, a doctor looking to improve on her craft in being able to save lives. Very noble. To tell the truth, I was originally from Water 7, joined up with the marines after losing my manhood and family, made my way around the Blues, got kicked out, wandered around, met up with an assassin girl and a bunny that is bigger than I am, ended up finding myself apart of a getting the band back together thing of pirates and that is why I am here." It was after speaking that she realized just what she was doing and her eyes went wide and a small blush appeared on her face as she corrected her body posture to the way it was and tried to not look at Jasmine directly. It was then she remembered the other part of what the woman had asked being the elephant in the streets as it were, her height. "As for why I am so tall, I'm not very sure. My ex-family were all average height and I never really found out about my lineage but yeah, I don't exactly know. I have had theories but never got around to looking into it. So... um... It is getting late and I still need to find my captain I guess, so, It was nice meeting you Ms. Jasmine. Hope you have better luck in finding what you are looking for, just, be careful ok? The New World is not a place to go unless you are monstrously strong. I've heard stories of men going there and never being heard from again. No offence... anywho, have a nice night!" Alice waved at Jasmine as she started to leave the girl behind and continue searching for this Fudo figure that Ookami had described to her. However, something bothered her about the girl. Something said for the tall ex-marine turned pirate to turn back and have the skypian girl stay with her, to protect her She could tell from the handshake that the girl was obviously not one who was well suited for combat but in a land that they were in, she could easily be picked up and carried away like nothing. Groaning Alice stopped and pivoted on her toes as she did a one hundred and eighty turn to go look for Jasmine. When she did find the girl she said, "HEY!! Hold up... call me forward but, you wanna walk with me? We could possibly help each other. A second pair of eyes might help me in my search and in return I might be able to assist in giving you that lift you were wanting." |

Banter and hilarity ensued as if their friendship hand't skipped a single beat. While Kuro was sliding his heavy darkened paw across the tiger zoan's head, Fudo laughed along with the pair heartily. The laughing would continue for a few moments until he realized everything that had been said by the woman, and then he paused. With a blank face he stared off into the distance. "Robin? Robin the marine I encountered while we were parted? That poor teen, I, we had met while in the midst of battle, and I just happened to hear his pleads for help. The kid was distraught but he said he would repay me. I hadn't seen him more than once after that incident, but I never would have guessed that he would have tried to retrieve you! I hope that he has found peace." Fudo took a deep breath and then closed his eyes for a moment. He made sure to take note of the mans gratitude, and his sacrifice. Reopening his eyes, the martial artist looked towards the clear star filled sky."Robin. We shall never forget you." after a momentary pause, Fudo wrapped his left arm around the waist of Kuro and faced Keiko. "Let's not get caught up in the moment, this island has a way of making sadness a lifestyle!" Fudo's face was getting drenched by the stinky saliva of the massive rabbit of Keiko, and he responded by holding Kuro's tounge between his fingers before placing it back in his mouth and putting his hand over the beasts food hole. "That's enough buddy! Safe some for later!" Turning his attention to a small group of figures over a dune in the distance, Fudo scowled. They appeared to be dressed in clocked, and though they were far from being clearly seen, he had a hunch on who they were. Fudo's brows furrowed and he placed a hand on Keikos shoulder. "Keiko, I don't think that this area is a safe one. Let's meet up with your friend, Alice right? We need to start moving." Turning around completely he gently nudged the pair in the direction he was going. He took a few steps forward before he completely halted his progress through the beach. Spotting a handful of figures directly across from them, Fudo turned to Keiko. "Keiko, Kuro. I don't mean to worry you right now. But there are two groups of men watching us, and I think I have an idea of who they are. This island has some radical scientists that collect and kill people for their cause. They are fucking nuts. They caught me before, and I think now that they've seen me again, they may want to reclaim me. Right now the two groups are to our right and our left. I think we should run towards the Cactithidrel as quickly as we can. Alright?" Staring directly into Keiko's eyes with his own golden peepers, Fudo showed both concern an confidence. The concern however wasn't for his own well being, but for the safety of his friends. He hadn't been with them for nearly five minutes, and this hell was already trying to pull him back to it's depths. At the Cactithedrel a single cloaked individual perched atop a nearby building watches over Alice and Jasmine with a pair of advanced binoculars. The figure is cloaked in a black robe and completely in black and is so well hidden even at a close distance he would be very difficult to spot. The individual proceeded to take pictures of the two while they spoke. Pulling a den den from his pocket he spoke. "HQ Come in, this is Cassius. I've spotted a very large individual, possibly fish-woman, and another that seems to be a skypian. Should I engage?" a moment went by before they received any contact. "Negative, observe and follow them. They may lead us to other promising candidates. Protocol W/M.221. only, understood?" the man placed the den den closer to his mouth and answered with a grumble. Placing the den den into his pocket he would slide down from his perch into an alley where he would continue to watch the pair from a distance. |

The island did have a morbid taste, she hoped that meant that there was Tainted around. By Tainted, which was her word for an individual that wants to harm someone else. The way Fudo spoke about threats in the area, she knew they must be Tainted, which was ironic to her because they were wearing cloaks, and heard that priest inhabited the island. She was upset at the news but a little voice in her head went off and she became joyous immediately. A moon crest smile spread over her face and her eyes consumed the sight of the cloaked men. "All I have to do, is wait for them to do something wrong..." She had whispered this unintentionally and when Fudo looked at her in question she looked away and went to change the subject. She asked about the cathedral and said that they should head their right away, but her eyes were still pinned of the men in the distance, watching them. Yes, she thought to herself...do something wrong. Kuro pushed her slightly trying to signal her to not let Fudo or the strangers know of her thrive to massacre. Keiko looked at Kuro in thanks, he shivered with the thought of being some kind of experiment. Keiko stroked Kuro's fur until he calmed down. She took a deep breath and looked back at Fudo. "I think we should talk to them...Just to make sure where not being superstitious. I would hate to live in fear." The word repeated loudly in her head FEAR, over and over again. she din't like feeling that word, but enjoyed more than anything to see others being terrorized by it. Keiko laughed deeply unintentionally trying to stay calm, so she wouldn't attack the men immediately, she was starving after all. She always was after the taste of her devil fruit that made her crave blood. Keiko was thinking too much about future victims that she almost changed into her form on the spott, but had refrained from doing so. Her eyes were strained though, she began to drool. So she wiped her mouth on Kuro. "On second thought, lets go to that other place..." As much as Keiko was hungry she had to put her friends safety first. If she made a ruckus now then Alice would be in trouble, and she didn't want anyone to attempt her, but most likely what Alice would do to them. Keiko licked her lips, she wouldn't mind to clean up the mess Alice would make. Keiko's eyes sifted and pointed to an alternate route around the hooded fiends, which they were probably. She could see a fraction of the Cathedral in the distance, she had to keep her eyes on it so she wouldn't change form. Kuro held her hand so it was easier for her to stay relaxed. Sweat was pouring down her face, her veins pulsed, she was growing impulsive. She knew it was much nicer with her hood down, but she had to make an exception to concentrate. Keiko slid her hood over her ears and past her black wings of hair. she walked along side of Kuro and Fudo feeling a lot safer than before. The closer they got to the Cathedral the more they heard the priest mourning, sending chills down her back, but they weren't there yet. |

Alice explained that even she was uncertain about her excessive height. Upon hearing those words Jasmine shuddered with delight. 'I want to study her~' The thought from before rang through her head louder than ever. It took all her self control to keep from licking her lips. It seems, though, that Jasmine was a bit too forward with her question. Alice quickly mentioned a need to find her Captain and then looked to end this wonderful meeting of souls. Jasmine couldn't help but think maybe her question about the tall woman's height was a bit too intrusive. Did she chase her off? A pained expression crossed the girl's face as Alice began walking away. "Wai..." Jasmine started but was quickly cut off as Alice turned around and asked her to travel with her. Color filled the green-haired girl's face as she replied with a strong, "Yes!" Jasmine quickly ran up to Alice's side and tried to keep pace with the longer-legged woman. "So, what does this captain of yours look like?" Asked Jasmine as she looked to keep the subject away from Alice's body for a while. All things in due time. Patience is the grandest virtue, after all. Jasmine, unfortunately, was heavily considering Alice's earlier warning. The New World was apparently quite the dangerous place. She'd heard rumors before, but she'd yet to meet anyone who'd actually been there in person... Were there even people who lived to come back? A small shudder passed down her spine at the thought, but she wouldn't let some superstition keep her from continuing her adventure. She had a dream and she was going to chase it. Jasmine would rather die chasing her dreams than to live a life of appeasement. That was her way of life. Ever since she lost her wings, she decided she couldn't return home empty handed. She wasn't even certain she could handle the pitying gazes that her friends and family would give her... Without breaking her smile, Jasmine ran her right hand through her hair again and continued playing with the antennae. She'd occasionally twirl her index finger around a lock or one of the antennas. She never even realized she was doing it. |
