With what little strength he could muster, Mac pushed for his legs to move him out of the way of William's flying sword slash. It was aimed directly for his neck, and somewhere in his dulled senses he could perceive that. However, he may have seemed fine with the golden liquid holding him together, but it was an undeniable fact that his body was degrading at an incredible rate with all of the attacks crashing into him. He tried his best, but it was not enough to prevent himself from being decapitated. It was just around this moment that Eve's lightning bolt was thrust into his torso, plus the force of Unca flying into him. His head, on the other hand, quickly went quiet due to the lack of blood circulation plus lack of vocal chords and lungs that would have allowed him to speak. It landed several floors up without any resistance. "You're ordering me? Well, whatever..." Argos had already been headed towards Arcadia even before William had mentioned that he should, his dashing movement bringing him the distance required without even the use of soru. He barrelled past the second wave of heat, again caring very little for it. "Hurry up and join us!" Henan too followed, though he had to wait for the second heat wave to pass before he could move lest he risk taking the hit directly. As a result, he did end up using soru to pass the barrier, just barely made possible in his smaller form. As a result, just as Raine had hoped, the three of them managed to pass the barrier. Still in his tiny form, which had made his voice hilariously high pitched when he spoke, the agent nevertheless had his knives drawn, prepared for any surprise attack that might have met them after passing the barrier. Argos, on the other hand, was much more on the offensive. He seemed to care little about whether anything was lying in wait, and immediately let loose a powerful rankyaku as soon as he was on the other side. It was sent hurtling towards Arcadia and Illya, along with a second from his other leg that followed a short distance behind. "Oh, sure we do. We've just got to get close to him first." Henan replied to Raine briefly, his attention focused on the targets ahead of him. Techs "Oh, you got through." Arcadia mumbled, apparently surprised, though she brushed it off quickly. "I mean, of course!" Though she was of course confident in the barrier she had deployed, against such opponents she couldn't help but offer quick glances back as she ran, making sure that there was no-one following. Unfortunately, a total of three had made it past before the door had shut. "Hmm? Didn't you see it earlier? It's a capsule filled with liquefied devil fruit matter. if you've eaten a devil fruit, you'll die just by getting near it. I wouldn't care much for throwing it at you just to kill the lightning girl, because you're much more useful to me alive." She explained, fiddling with the same control remote she had used just a second ago. Like some kind of reflex, the flexible shield shot up to block the rankyaku's headed her way, though the parts that would have hit Illya were not accounted for. As it turned out, William hadn't really needed all that help dealing with Mac. Uncarayne spun around from the force of his blow, landing in a heap of pain on the metal floor. Nearby him lay Eve, splayed out and looking much the worse for wear (but she's a Logia! spluttered a disbelieving part of his brain, looking at the blood bubbling from her mouth and chest, what does it take to do THAT to a Logia?!), and then Mac's head went spiralling off into the distance, trailing golden fluid behind it. So he'd finally died, thought Uncarayne, looking at the body, which toppled a moment later with a crashing noise, echoing through the tunnel. It also revealed William's tired-looking form, bristling with feathers - but even then the man managed to get out a little last-liner for Mac, whose neck was dribbling golden fluid in erratic pulses. Uncarayne cracked the tiniest of tiny little grins. "The hell happened to you? You look like somebody plucked you." He sat up, reaching out to close Mac's eyes, and above him William suddenly leapt into action again, executing something that buffeted the air about Uncarayne - "Oh, hell, not again!" he muttered, and threw himself lengthwise across the floor, blocking Eve from the worst of the heat. Even after the distance, and after the blunting from William's shockwave, the heat was enough to make his hairs stand on end. "That... really does need to be dealt with somehow," he muttered, and then rolled over on his back, only moving when William stood over him and dropped a bottle on his face, followed by a roll of bandages. "Never a moment of rest," he sighed, pushing himself painfully up so that he was sitting on the warmed metal floor and picking up the bottle to stare at it. Numbing antiseptic, and bandages. Not for swigging, unfortunately. He dumped some of the stuff out on the bandages and began labouriously winding them around his wounded arms, wincing at the first stinging contact before the numbing agents kicked in and doused the pain in warm unfeeling comfort. It was almost as good as a bottle of gin might've been. "Probably Suhov. Rhythm was fighting Raine," he said as he finished wrapping the bandages up around his arms, flexing them experimentally. Whatever was in that stuff was strong - he wasn't feeling any pain from his arms, but it just meant he'd have to stay careful with them. No sense breaking them or anything like that. "Big spear he had..." He tied off the bandages on his arm, then wadded up the rest of them around the bottle of antiseptic - he took a sniff, then wrinkled his nose. Definitely not drinkable stuff. - and plodded over to William's side, knocking on the wall. He walked along its width, knocking as he went. "Big dent, right in the middle..." He took out his hammer, tapping the wall until he heard the tell-tale sound of a little bit of structural weakness in the titanium. "Yeah, boss man. Just step back a little bit." He grinned, then, and raised his hammer, stepping back a little and bracing himself on the floor on both feet and his free hand; his other arm stretched out behind him, the hammer in it whirling almost too fast to be seen, whining as it built up momentum and speed. Then Uncarayne threw himself forwards, kicking off the floor and hammer outstretched in a wide arc to lay the wall wide open. "Ham Slicer Big EEE!!" A gash opened up in the wall, wide as his hammer's edge, ragged, and Uncarayne made an expression that was somewhere between gritted teeth and a grin, backing up a few more steps and then doing it again - and again - and when he stopped, another three strokes later, there was a rough square slashed deeply into the titanium surface. He mopped his brow, drained. Definitely was going to feel that in the morning. He sort of flopped his hand at the wall, in an after-you kind of gesture directed at Will. "Well. Big ideas?" |

It was some small comfort to still see Unca alive and kicking and in a similarly bruised position to herself. "A little tougher than Whisper and his goons, right?" The ripples of her voice, tiny as they were, still prompted jolts of pain to spring up in her chest and stomach. It was much worse when she cried out and lifted an arm to try and swat him, unsuccessfully, out the way of the incoming heat. It fell back down to briefly cover her eyes before she shot what was meant to be an annoyed glare, but what instead came out as goofy gratitude. "Hey." Again she grabbed at his collar, sleeve, anything she could get a grip on. "Don't go hurting yourself guarding me, I-" A little more blood filled her lungs, but she defiantly coughed it out. "...I'm fine. I can handle this, I've... I've got that little imp in me, watching my back, remember?" Gently, she pushed him away to give Will space to do his thing and tried to smile. "I just need to keep an eye on Suhov’s spear is all. Seastone, must be, I’d recognise that feeling anywhere. I don't think he can use haki though, so we get rid of that and he can't touch me." The antiseptic burned as it hit her wounds, and it took a set of gritted teeth not to turn elemental and let the stuff fall to the floor. Fortunately, it didn’t take long for the magic to start taking effect, and soon the pain began to morph from sharp needles digging into her nerves to soft clouds that drifted up and out of her body, then out of mind. Eve’s gaze was fixed to the hole and the ceiling far above it. She didn’t realise the stitching going into place until she actually looked down at her body again. For all his medical miracles however, Will wasn’t a god and Eve still didn’t feel a hundred percent. Her limbs felt like tree branches, stiff and slow but still easily broken with little force. Brittle. Add that to the minor case of queasiness in her stomach, and it was unlikely Eve would be breaking any of her previous combat records. Regardless, Eve mentally resolved, she didn’t need to be on top form to still be in fighting shape. She had sworn Arcadia’s end, and it would be so. Cautiously, she picked herself, flexed and stretched while making sure not to put too much pressure on her stitches so as to not reopen them into a fountain of red. “I think I’m good,” she said, all the while continuing to test every fiber down to her pinkies. “Thanks Salty. I owe you one.” The only thing she could spare was a pat on the shoulder, but the sentiment was genuine, even if Eve was a mite bit distracted. The door at the end of the tunnel was what bothered her. They needed to get through it; all of them. Easier said than done, however. Worst case scenario, she could just carry on without them and phase straight through, but they needed as many ideals as possible. Her foot tapped impatiently as Will listed his idea. Eve bit her lip. “If Unca helps give us a head start, it might work. But I’m not sure I can get enough buzz out to get us through that. I dunno what it is, but the rest of this place is pretty damn solid.” Her eyes locked with the door again... and she shrugged. “Then again, better idea than anything I have. Sure, let’s give it a shot.” A mass of humanoid energy took Eve’s place. The mass stepped closer to Will and gauged his size. “Alright, this is what I’ll do; I’m going to try and let you… wear me, okay? I’ll surround your body like a snazzy coat and channel my attack into yours. Combo them! Just… try keep your movements smooth, I guess? You get what I mean? One of us messes up and someone gets a few millions volts down their spine.” An electric tongue licked at intangible lips. Here we go. Stay still!” And, focusing her body through a funnel of willpower, Eve squashed herself into a thin stream of electricity that snaked its way around and along the pathway of Will’s metallic feathers. She did her best not to actually touch them, just follow at their tug. “Oh man, this is weird.” Weird or not however, the feathers helped keep her in place, anchor her a safe distance from Will’s actual flesh and beating heart. “Alright, let’s go. I should be able to keep myself in place. Let’s break it down in one go. Unca, give it one last little push with us! Go!” The door was firmly in her sights, and as the others made their moves, Eve too made hers. She felt whatever movement Will made, and it was an easy enough to know when to strike. The electric aura flawed, its power flowing into Will’s weapons and discharging in a crackling frenzy. Tech

Illya cursed under his breath as he saw that him and Arcadia were not the only to make it to the other side of the barrier, with Argos, Henan and the white haired female showing up right before the barrier clanged against the floor. Almost immediately as he saw them, the pirate was forced to put his arms up as two shockwaves hit him one after another. They were not exactly powerful shockwaves, the armour providing plenty of protection against the cutting aspect of said shockwaves. Granted that the impacts did push him back a couple of steps and he could almost hear the strain that the impacts put on his arms. Fortunately, it appeared that Arcadia had her own personal protection shield that managed to prevent the shockwaves from cutting her in half. In the heat of the moment, the inventor reacted almost instinctively to the attacks, almost not bothering to see if the Shichibukai had protection of her own. But now he was thankful that she did. After all, it would have been a shame to come all this way and for it to end just like that. But now, he was faced with two CP9 agents and the white haired female. "Since I was in an entirely different part of the building when you used that grenade before, there really is no way for me to see it. Either way, I do believe that this right now would be a good time to use it, unless of course you are waiting for the lighting user to show up. And you don't have to worry about any of the pieces hitting me. I'll be able to destroy them before they can reach me." the doctor told Arcadia under his breath. At least he was fairly sure that he would be able to evaporate the liquefied devil fruit matter before it reached his body. Plus, he hoped that his armour would be able to prevent any of the liquid from touching his skin. Hopefully Arcadia would not hesitate for far too long to use the grenade. After all, he was not entirely sure how much longer he could provide protection for her without ending his life in the process, which was something that he did not really care much to happen. But until then, he had to provide the Shichibukai with some sort of protection, not that he was entirely sure he would be to provide it for long. It seemed that Argos was back to his full bodied self, which was rather unfortunate really, but hopefully regrowing his arm took up some of his stamina in the process. The martial artist knew that he would have to strike first if he hoped to overcome the agent. As for Henan, Illya did not really know much about him aside from his intent to use knifes and his rather small zoan form, which would make it that much harder to track and attack. As for the white haired female, she was fond of using her hair limbs to ensnare so he would have to watch out for that. As soon as he heard the banging on the door, the pirate knew that he did not have much time and put his plan into action. With his body already not enough to cause severe burns to anyone that touched him, the inventor did not worry too much about defense as he sprung into offense, dragging his eyes across his three opponents, starting with Argos and then moving on to Henan and the female, at the same time as he activated his heat beam, the concentrated mass of red heat hopefully hitting its targets. At such a close range and the beam moving at bullet speed, it would be very difficult to dodge a beam several inches across, without losing some part of your body. Plus it didn't hurt that there was really hardly any way to tell that the beam will be unleashed. Spoiler: click to toggle

William’s mind couldn’t help but wander a little at the suggestion that he would wear Eve. All sorts of jokes started running through his brain, but he snapped out of it relatively quickly, before saying something he would regret. That talk about millions of volts through his heart didn't promise good at all. "Man, I wish I had a mirror right now, this coat is pretty cool." he commented on the appearance of Eve’s electric form glowing on his feathers and sword. After a moment, the only thing left to do was to attack. He observed the solid door and the gashes Uncarayne had made in it before charging towards them, and drawing his rapiers. When he found himself at a close enough distance to attack, he shouted: "Million Volt Machine Gun!" and unleashed feathers from all over his body at the same time while proceeding to thrust his swords at the door repeatedly with the intent to shatter it completely. The parts that Uncarayne had damaged broke away first making a clean square hole in the structure, and soon that hole started widening further. Each feather or sword thrust was stabbing a tiny little bit into the tough material, paving the way for the following, but this thing was sturdy. If not for Eve’s help, William knew that he wouldn’t have been able to do anything to it. Finally, after much effort from everyone, the center of the thick door burst into smaller half-melted pieces and William emerged on the other side. From the scenery in front of him it seemed like this Suhov fellow was blocking the way towards Arcadia. William raised his arm and aimed at the woman from where he stood. If he couldn’t reach her immediately, he would at least test her defenses without any distractions now that Mac and Missy are no longer pestering him. He sent out two feathers towards her head, one hidden behind the other from Suhov’s view. William, wings folded, chose the moment Illya would react to the feathers to use soru to cross past him from the other side. In any case, either his attack or he himself would get past. Techs

((Sorry for the wait. I've had a very 'interesting' past couple of days. Honestly not really feeling it right now, but 3 days is long enough.)) She had been hoping for a better response than that from the Cipher Pol agents. She had meant more along the lines of Suhov and his strange blasts of pure heat that he could seemingly fire directly from his hands, but whatever, she wasn't going to bother with pushing the point, especially when the enemy wasn't too far ahead of them "Just make it quick. I doubt we have much time left before she reaches the end of this tunnel." Being the woman of few words that was about all she would say. It would have been a good opportunity to come up with a plan of action or something but such a thing would be pointless if overheard by the enemy. Besides, it seemed that the two marine agents were already decently in sync as one of them used a rankyaku as cover for their group and the other remained rather tiny. As usual it seemed that the Shichibukai had some sort of trick up her sleeve to deal with the attacks but Suhov had been forced to take them and slowed him down a bit. Behind her Raine could also hear something slamming into the titanium wall behind them. It seemed that soon enough their allies would be making it through that door. Good. She could probably afford to be a bit more straightforward in her approach as long as they made it in time. The woman would get into position to move and was only stopped when the pirate began his next attack, surprisingly not firing another wall, but instead he unleashed a beam from his eyes that looked familiar. She could remember seeing something similar earlier in the battle that moved past her and down into the tunnel. As it started from the left and began to sweep to her side Raine did the most logical thing and avoided his line of sight as he was forced to turn his head in order to try to hit all of them. She had grown tired of fighting the appetizers though, she wanted to finally get a tste of the main course for once as it seemed she had been the only one to not get a shot at Arcadia tonight. Perhaps it was selfish and a bit uncaring of her, but she would leave holding off Suhov to the other once they got through and of course the CP9 members unless they were able to join her. Lunging to the side, once her feet made contact with the ground again Raine would kick off with Soru in order to get a little bit ahead of where Arcadia was. Besides just wanting to finally fight the woman this position did also provide a more tactical spot in regards to the battle. For one Illya wouldn't be launching those damned heat blasts this way unless he wanted to roast up the one he was supposed to be guarding as well. From her current position she would also be facing the direction of the tunnel back to where the wall was. In this way she did not leave her backed exposed to unexpected assaults. Perhaps she was letting her excitement and bloodlust get the better of her here, but once in position the bounty hunter went into an all out flurry of attacks directed at Arcadia. Her flesh and bone fists going into a flurry of bulletspeed punches and her hair now springing to life with the fang braids acting as spike before they followed up on her flurry. The initial attack of course starting with only two fists but the end result being double the amount of punches coming for the woman. "Let me see the title of Shichibukai!" She called to the inventor before her. techs

"I'll take that into account. Just don't blame me if I kill you." With all of the heat walls he had been throwing up until then, the laser beam came as a bit of a surprise. "Be careful with that thing~" He grinned sarcastically, though his miscellaneous speech didn't manage to mask how close he had been to getting hit by the attack. Not that it would have likely mattered with his regeneration, but it still skimmed the hair atop his head as he ducked down to avoid it. "We'll have no more of that!" His legs coiled already from having crouched, he only needed to adjust the direction at which he would spring back up again. By shifting some of his weight forward and then pushing off powerfully, the man disappeared in a blur of speed only to appear right in front of Illya. His arm was bent at the elbow, so that just as he approached he could extend it to include his momentum with the blow. It was an open-hand palm strike, aimed at Illya's chest, and was immediately followed by another of the same nature should the first be blocked or dodged.
Henan, while small, was unfortunately a little less agile than his superior. Still at micro size, he hurriedly brought up his daggers to defend against the laser as it passed over him. They did not break, and managed to deflect most of the attack rather well, but his body was still seared a little from the intense heat. Arcadia's eyes widened as Raine appeared right in front of her, but she was not the type to panic. A flurry of punches from both fists and hair was closing in very quickly, so she responded in turn. "Nom nom-chan!" The shield that had been protecting her quickly darted out, matching the speed of Raine's blows and managing to deflect them before they came into contact with the shichibukai. Well, most of them anyway. The sheer difference in number of limbs, as one compared to four, put Arcadia in a losing battle. However, all she did was grin, pressing a button on the remote in her pocket. "See ya~" She dived to the side, into a door that had opened up in the wall besides her. Unfortunately she had been forced to take on several of Raine's attacks, leaving her with a nasty bruise here and there, but it was nothing she couldn't handle. The door closed just about as soon as it had opened, though in turn a much larger one fixated around it began to rise. After a second or so, Arcadia's voice boomed out from some kind of speaker in the corridor. "Aww, this is only a maintenance model..." She seemed upset, her tone of voice indicating that she was pouting. "Oh well! It'll have to do!" The few seconds of slow ascent of the shutter quickly changed into a sudden rise, possibly from the thing having just been rusty or old to start. There, past the shutter, was a decently large room with a few spanners and other tools littered about. It was what was in the room that was of note, however. What appeared to be some kind of robot, nearly reaching the ceiling in height. It had a large, bulky torso featuring no head, instead showing a translucent screen across the top half of it that showed it served as the seat for the pilot inside. It had long arms, a little too big than what would be expected of a body that size, while by comparison the legs were quite stubby and short. It had a sleek design, clearly not shoddily put together, and there were few obvious joint weaknesses exposed. The steel-grey machine featured yellow stripes across its forearms and legs, and the serial number "#034" in bold font on its chest. Right on its back were a pair of small cylindrical jets that poked out a little, facing downwards. Behind the orange-tinted screen of the cockpit, numerous lights and displays could be seen activating as Arcadia typed away at the controls inside. "ARMS #034, deploy right autocannons!" With surprising speed, the mech raised a servo arm in the direction of the hole in the barricade, next to which had been William, Unca and Eve. The top of the forearm quickly clicked and a pair of barrelled weapons poked out, which immediately began to rain a barrage of gunfire down upon the Marines and Bounty Hunters. Uncarayne turned around and blinked. Oh, wow. That was a big idea all right. It was a very big idea. It was a Very Big Idea, and it basically looked like Will running full tilt at the wall where Uncarayne had cut into it, just glowing and crackling (but that was really Eve, who had gone into Cloud Mode or something and was now buzzing about Will's feathers and rapiers) and then there was a flurry of feathers and stabbing, and a loud clanging noise amid much sizzling. Uncarayne, on the other hand, spent most of that flurrying time - which, he was sure, seemed a lot longer than it actually was - being right next to a buzzing hissing person stabbing right through titanium would do that - stock-still, plastered to the side of the wall. Both for its support, and to avoid distracting Eve and William. Yeah, he was totally not distracting them by staying... very... still. To the side. Sidling away. By the time everything cleared up and Uncarayne had peeled himself off the wall, William had stepped on past through the hole in the barrier. "All right!" he said spiritedly, and followed William through the hole, careful not to brush against the still-hot edges of the hole. Past William was Suhov, and Henan, and... and no Arcadia. Dammit, he thought, and what little cheer he'd managed to work up on their getting past that door promptly settled back down into a simmering anger. She'd managed to get away from them again, behind her doors and walls and bodyguards - - a giant shutter-door rose, nearly touching the ceiling, and Uncarayne turned to look at it. How big did this tunnel get? And only a maintenance model of - what? Which, decided Uncarayne in a hurry, was the kind of question he really had to stop asking. It came clanking out of the shutters, Arcadia visible inside it behind a thick transparent screen; giant arms that seemed to dwarf it, and... Uncarayne had to stifle a snort. Those legs. Those tiny, stubby little legs! How did it even walk? On those short stubby things? Arcadia managed it perfectly somehow, which wiped the grin off his face. Then the arm came up - autocannons? That did not sound good - and Uncarayne's grin reappeared, except upside-down. That did not look good, either. He dashed back, thrusting one hand down onto the chunk of titanium he'd carved out of the barrier earlier. The hand flattened onto it, and he yanked it up, holding it like a shield in front of him to take the barrage of bullets while he ran forwards. He'd see how well that robot could do its gun thing when he got up close and personal! |

Complete destruction did not befall the wall, but their combined attack was sufficient in busting open a hole wide enough for the more tangible of the party to crawl through. The rattling and force of the attack shook Eve loose and she reformed in a hail of sparks, crouched and prone with rifle splayed out to her side. Quickly, her head snapped upward to scan the corridor and what, exactly, the situation was. The walls glowed with molten heat but still held strong. "Suhov," Eve breathed. There he was, in all his malignant glory, holding them all up. There were so few of them now, whittled to the last. The other one, Rhythm, didn't seem to be moving. Raine must have dealt with them. One final push on the good guy's part, and it could be over. "We good?!" she called out around her, stretching her neck to confirm everyone was well and accounted for. The thought of Will ending up a fried chicken wouldn't sit well, no matter if there was no time to mourn him. They were so close - if someone fell from the train now, there would still be no stopping it. Eve took a step forward, but a snapping sound in the wall deterred her. Her body froze up, her eyes didn't manage the full ninety degrees to her left before a flurry of howling titanium slugs made a furious wreck of her body. A slew of holes gaped, where once Eve's face had been was instead just a pocket of air, and all motion had ceased. But even artillery couldn't kill a stormcloud, and with an almost relaxed quality the volts flowed in to fill the gaps. There was a crack of thunder, followed by a glare of absolution. Suhov didn't matter. She was right there, cocooned in a frail shell of metal. Eve growled and became the storm once again. Another crack whistled along the hall and Eve was gone, hurtling towards the robot in a fraction of a second. She stopped only to drop her rifle before tearing at the lower hull with nails of light. The metal didn't budge, but Eve did; she dug her way in, pulled her fizzling form up through the plating, up and through the inner guts of wires and cogs. Oil stung her nostrils and little electric messages tingled as they bumped into her, but still Eve clawed upward until she emerged as a glowing phantom into the cockpit. "Arcadia! This ends, now!" Flesh seemed to return to Eve's upper body, so they could stare eye to eye. Her coat returned to billow on winds of fury and, most importantly, her fist materialized into solid bone with which to smash the smug girl's face. A coating of blue surrounded her fingers as they bunched up, arcs of the stuff whipping around the cockpit as if greedily trying to consume anything they could connect with. Eve threw the punch, and lit up the cramped space with blinding blue. Techs |

Things were getting worse and worse by the second. With Argos and the white haired female dodging his close range attack, something that he did not think was possible, with only Henan getting hit at all and even then it did not really looked like it bothered him too much. But then, the other CP9 lackeys arrived, bursting through the metal wall. With everyone so close, Illya was having trouble accounting for everyone and changing his actions accordingly. That may have also had something to do with the fact that before, he was the one attacking and thus could take the initiative while this time he was on the defensive. Not only that but he also had to watch out for Arcadia and try to least defend her and save her from dying. Otherwise Izuru would not be pleased at all. Thankfully, it appeared that Arcadia's shield was doing a fairly good job of protecting her so all he had to worry was about protecting himself, something that would probably get a bit problematic against Argos and anyone else that decided to take their shot at him. But for now, he had to deal with the Phoenix user. And speaking of the devil, the inventor barely managed to catch sight of a blur of movement that was the CP9 agent before said agent appeared before him and launched an attack. The doctor had to think quickly otherwise he would probably end up a broken shell and that was something that he really did not care to do. He knew that the most surefire way of defeating the man was through the use of seastone and copious amounts of damage that would force the man to use his regenerative powers so as to not die instead of attacking. Fortunately, the one armed man had both and hopefully it would be enough to overcome this obstacle. Unfortunately, in order to use the seastone, he had to be in close proximity to Argos and that meant getting hit. The things he did to save a life. As the agent's attack was closing in on the martial artist's chest, the latter commanded his hair to dart out and to try to ensnare Argos to keep him from moving. At the same time as the attack hit his body, he unleashed his own attack, the spear with the seastone tip darting out with the aim of stabbing Argos somewhere in the chest, hopefully in the heart if at all possible. Illya grunted as the attack hit him, completely bypassing his armour and hitting his body as it the protective metal was not even there. It had been a while since the armour had failed to protect him and he really did not enjoy it as the slightest. Fortunately, any pain from the attack felt like a pinprick but the pirate knew that his body had sustained some not minor damage. Gritting his teeth, the inventor unleashed another eye beam attack, this one aimed at Argos's chest as well. While the attack could not melt materials, it would certainly be able to cause a significant amount of damage. At the same time as he was fighting off the CP9 agent, the inventor was vaguely aware of Arcadia getting into a robot of some kind before unleashing a barrage of bullets. Unfortunately, it appeared that the robot was metal and that the lightning user would make short work of it. The fucking Shichibukai should have used the anti-devil fruit grenade when she had the chance. Spoiler: click to toggle

William had heard Eve's attempt to make sure everything was alright with him, but he judged that there was no better answer than to show her he was ready for the offensive. Suhov apparently had his hands full with Argos, and with good reason, so he paid no mind to Will's attack, which might as well have been a stray bullet given that Arcadia didn't stay still at all. William's attempt to get close to Arcadia was successful. Only when he landed where he wanted, there was no Arcadia to be found, only a closed door in the side of the tunnel and Raine looking like a hunter who lost its pray. He also heard Arcadia’s voice pouting somewhere behind the door. William had to smile: "To think we were here to do business with her not even an hour ago." he shook his head with amusement before adding: "I’m still sore from the last door I broke, can you guys take care of this one?" They didn’t need to though, since moments after, Arcadia emerged clad in a massive suit of automated armor, shooting bullet at him and the others emerging from the broken door behind him. It was an odd feeling: being too exhausted to dodge. William was not used to such a feeling. He was always energetic and ready to go forward, which is probably why he was exhausted in the first place. Long story short, he found it much easier to take the assault of bullets on his armor than to dive out of the way this time around. The bullets that hit him where Mac had bruised him before stung much more than anywhere else, but only one of them found its way into his flesh among the broken feathers. It was only then that he moved out of the way. He had forgotten that his armor was no longer reliably perfect in his rush to catch up to Arcadia, so now he found himself with further injury. He glimpsed Eve’s lightning silhouette, which he knew by sight now, travel through the tunnel until it reached Arcadia’s robot armor thing. That was his opportunity to remove the bullet quickly. He jammed his finger in the injury and extracted it painfully in one quick motion. A sigh of relief escaped his lips then. He wished he had time enough to patch up the bleeding wound, but Arcadia was waiting to be captured. He aimed his arm towards the suit of armor, intent on making use of the joint weaknesses that he was seeing, since he knew that if this suit was anything like the door, he wouldn’t be able to break it head on, not until he cooperates with everyone enyway. He aimed carefully, and released exactly fourteen feathers, each one towards a different joint: both the top and bottom of the neck, the shoulders, elbows, wrists, ankles, knees and hips. He did this with the aim to uncover which joints were weakest, so he looked intently at the results of his assault, trying to get any useful information out of them. Tech

As she let her fists fly in a mighty fury she could feel them beating up against something that certainly wasn't flesh. That damn Arcadia and her invention were always getting in the way, but this personal deployable shield would definitely have to reach a limit at some point and while she was still punching the woman wouldn't be able to escape the attack without taking some injuries. It was just like the information that CP9 gave her earlier said. When not in control or able to easily access her equipment the inventor was actually quite easy to deal with. Through the attack however the assassin could see her reach for something and before she was able to react Arcadia had managed to dive into a newly form hole in the wall that closed just as quickly. Damn, the woman was light on her feet she would giver her that and Raine knew that she couldn't really break through these damn walls. Not on her own at the very least. It seemed that would not be necessary however as Arcadia soon emerged in some sort of strange metallic beast. Maybe if Raine was more into technology she would know to refer to it as a robot or mech or something, but metal beast would suffice in her mind. The next closest name being an external cyborg or some similar poor name. The target could be seen seated in a dome at the top of the thing though and fortunately she had focused her attention on a shot of barrage fire at the the rest of the team, all of whom she was sure could manage to deal with it. Raine would spend her time more focused on finding a way to attack Arcadia from within her new creation than worrying about their well being. That was the way a mission was meant to be carried out after all. With everyone else attacking the thing from the front though it seemed she would have to strike from the back to avoid getting in their way. Well, there was also the option of striking down Illya in the back while he was engaged with the Cipher Pol members, but her pride would not really allow that. The pirate was a strong opponent that she would only feel satisfied in bringing down through her own strength and not backstabbing him. Besides, in the end Arcadia was still the target and the main one she wanted to kill. Cocking her fist back now she allowed it to charge with lightning much like Eve. While her own ability of course did not compare to that of a logia user it would still prove to be useful here as it had done earlier on the metal man she fought in the casino area of the building when this mess started. "Aku Jugon." She aimed for the attachments on its back in order to damage them or outright ruin them. Her first instinct was to aim for the knees or shoulders or something, but honestly those legs weren't going to carry the thing anywhere and it seemed Will had the shoulders covered quite well. techs

"Fucking hair..." Argos muttered to himself as Illya's hair sped towards him, which held every intention of keeping a hold of him until that spear could hit. Not that he would let it, of course. The instant his attacks hit, he had disappeared in a blur, shooting directly upwards to come to land on the ceiling. Just before he set off again, he swiftly lashed out with his leg to send another cutting shockwave hurtling towards Illya's head. In the next moment, using his landing as a spring to propel himself back down, he came rocketing towards Illya at incredible speeds. With his rate of acceleration he would be right on top of the centipede man in barely a few milliseconds, which was required in order to allow his attack to work. It wasa palm-thrust type move like before, but this time utilised both hands and was also aimed right at Illya's head. Argos Techniques "That thing is for maintenance?" Seeing William, Unca, Raine and Eve charge forward to get in on some of the action with the newly arrived ARMS, Henan soon decided that he ought to get in on some of the action as well. However, with those three already aiming for Arcadia, his target was something else. As Argos leaped out of Illya's attack, the now fully sized and hybrid form Henan took the time to reach into his coat pocket and pull out a small translucent box, which emptied a pill onto his hand with a tap. He swallowed it quickly, and then turned to Illya. "Sorry, but... We don't have time to spare." In a single, rapid movement he was behind Illya, his knife shooting forward in a bullet-speed stab aimed around the lower back and stomach. Henan Techniques Arcadia'a robotic exploits were unfortunately cut short by the arrival of an electric girl in the cockpit. "Wai-" Before she could even speak, her nose was broken by the thundering punch from Eve, causing her to slump backwards in the chair. She was briefly disorientated, but soon came to her senses. "I said wait, idiot!" She yelled back in anger, her face covered in blood and her nose misshapen. "Are you sure you want to stay in here with me? I have this, you know..." She grinned holding up a spherical object with stylised swirls similar to those seen on a devil fruit. "This will kill devil fruit users like yourself on contact." Her fingers released their hold over the grenade, allowing it to drop to the cockpit floor and immediately cover the inside of it in a goopy mess. "Bye bye~" Eve would be subject to it too, unless she exited the cockpit. Either way, Eve's lightning had done a number on the machine's systems. With its circuitry disrupted, it was unable to move or dodge the incoming attacks from William and Raine. The feathers unfortunately did not pierce the hide at all, being made of titanium, but Raine had some more luck. The cylinders on its back were much less sturdy, breaking apart from the hit and causing some fuel to leak out. The parts underneath, mostly wiring and gears, were clearly not as sturdy as the front of the robot. |

The bullets went pinging off of Uncarayne's makeshift shield, doing it absolutely no harm at all, to his great pleasure. Running forwards put him almost within reach of Suhov, and beyond the man was the giant stubby-legged robot that Arcadia was riding in. He peered over the rim of his titanium square to see the situation he was running into. Argos was there, engaged in a battle with Suhov; fist against spear and lancing eye-beams that flashed upwards - and then Henan materialised behind the man, not-quite-human from the power his Devil Fruit granted him - okay. They were handling that quite fine on their own - and Uncarayne rushed onwards, flattening into the corner between the floor and the wall to give that three-man melee as wide a berth as he could. Which brought him right under the Arcadia-Bot ("For Maintenance Only"), which... well, well. Between Eve, Raine, and William's attacks, the underneath had started cracking and coming apart - fuel was dripping, and wiring and gears were visible. And, of course, those very, very stubby legs, with their very, very stubby little joins, were right there and very vulnerable-looking. There was a moment in Uncarayne's subjective perception as the the entire world was silent and gray metal, punctuated by wiring and gears and other technological things that he was not trained to understand. He was, however, very well trained in smashing things, and his hammer was out and up and whining in the hand that didn't have the titanium plate affixed to it, or at least it would have been whining if he could hear anything right now - "You and me, we're both a pair of hammers now." said Eve, a long time ago. - he emerged from between the legs of the robot, almost running into Raine and flattening himself to the floor before he did. He spun around to see the robot from behind. After all, it wasn't every day you attempted to cut a robot open from between the legs. Spoiler: click to toggle

CRACK. A satisfying sound if ever there was one. Bone crunching, grinding together into a mangled mess. In the split-second of skin-on-skin contact between Eve and Arcadia, she could feel all the little pieces of that once prim nose shattering and compressing into an ugly blob of broken and bloody flesh hanging from her snarling face. "You're not going to win this, Coney. You wanna go down with some dignity, or running like a hamstrung rabbit?" The power flowed into her palm again and licked towards Arcadia's neck. If Eve had to throttle the life out of her, watch as the last few particles of life dribbled away, then she would. But then she flinched, and her hands halted. What was she getting at? Was this a surrender? Did she realize the folly of her situation? And then Eve noticed that device. Those swirls. The situation didn't even need explaining, and her body melted into a streak of force that merged with the floor. A moment later she was spat back out of the machine in a flickering and jerky mess. Wide-eyes and impressionable eyes caught site of what they thought was a small lump of mulch on the epaulettes of her coat, and in a panicked frenzy Eve tore it off and onto the floor. It took a series of deep breaths for her to finally realize it had simply been a trick of the light. The machine had contained the lethal goop, and she had escaped its confines without any of it entering her system. Her heart started to slow, and she spat a small glob of blood on the floor nearby. The coat resumed its place on her shoulders and Quicksilver was back in her hand. Arcadia's machine was seemingly immobile and falling apart at the seams. It wouldn't take much more to break it, and they'd all be waiting for it to disgorge the pilot. Holding her rifle like a crowbar, Eve wedged it into the jagged scar ripped in the plating by Unca's hammers, watched as droplets of fuel fell and glistened on the barrel from leaky tanks, then sent a wicked charge spiraling through the weapon.Invisible forces pulled at the bullet prepped within. "Just give it up already," Eve sighed. The trigger was pulled and that small lump of metal broke the sound barrier and glowed molten hot, all in the blink of an eye before tearing up and out of the barrel in a flash of super-sonic speed.
