Uni started this week so I haven't found a lot of time to post

"I know I'm responsible, I just don't lose sleep over small matters like people I don't care about dying. I do what I do to protect my current family because you lot took away my previous one." Arcadia was being attacked from two sides, above and straight ahead. Not an ideal situation, these two were insignificant for the most part but they could still cause significant problems. A shockwave strike and an electrical discharge, this should be fun. And by fun, the shichibukai meant not fun. No one had fun from this shit. Don't be daft. "Mac, Bobby. Do your thing."

The two subordinates sprung to action, Mac standing out in front to deal with Eve and Bobby glancing up above to tackle whatever Uncarayne was throwing their way. Everyone in Arcadia's crew worked like a fluid machine, everyone knew what they could offer and what they couldn't and that was enough to create an environment where everyone could thrive.

Bobby looked at the column of wind flying in their direction, not good. This wasn't good. Naturally the walking panic attack started getting nervous but he calmed himself. He had a duty, a job to do. Holding onto a wooden staff that was usually strapped to his back, he raised it up. There were a series of dials on the staff, hanging from various locations. Raising it into the air like a budget wizard, the younger boy swung it around slightly causing a few of the dials to glow and produce things.

Scalding Eruption
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Range: Medium
Stats: Nada
Description: Bobby produces a stream of boiling water that flies in the direction his staff is pointing.

The boiling water flew through the air, colliding into the shockwave. The two hits stagnated for a few moments before the wave continued onwards, mainly due to the fact that the stream was constantly being produced whilst the pillar of heated air was isolated from its source. The boiling water continued to rise as it targeted the place where Uncarayne was lying.

Mac on the other hand was having a much different problem. This bitch was literally lightning. Like, what the fuck was this bullshit. Luckily he had a bit of trump card against this Devil Fruit nonsense. It wasn't seastone but it wasn't far from it. Raising both his hands he smiled, forming a haki barrier in front of him and his crew. The lightning striked the barrier, trying desperately to break through but to no avail.

"Well fuck me that's going to be a pain to deal with." Mac gritted his teeth, letting the force field down once the barrage had stopped. It was not easy to defend himself from that shit, especially if this marine kept going. He was going to have to get on the offensive if he had any chance of living. Imbuing his limbs with haki, he dashed forward at Eve and launched a hook at her face.

"Not bad. Also Coney, you know there's another guy lurking around. I can just about make out his location but he's being pretty sneaky. Want to do something about him?" Missy cocked her head to the side, trying to figure out just how much distance William was from them. Arcadia merely nodded, she was far more interested in what Mac was doing. Missy shrugged, pulling out a comically large pistol. Quickly aiming, she fired a bullet right where Will was scouting the location.

"You know, we're more alike than people would assume. We're men who sold our hearts out to become monsters, we're men who took a bite out of a special kind of Devil Fruit. You became a Mukade, a burning red centipede. I became something much more majestic than a bug." Argos smiled slightly, blue flames forming around his body that matched the intensity of heat being produced by Illya. The flames flickered around, like they were dancing against his skin.

"Have you heard of the Phoenix? Of course you have, everyone has heard of the Phoenix. It's ingrained in lore from all around this earth, something every child hears the tale of when they're growing up." Argos formed a concentrated ball of blue flames in his hand, watching the bright colours swirl and illuminate the stairwell in colours that seemed unnatural to say the least. Argos let the ball drop onto the floor, creating a patch of burning flames on the ground behind where the battle would surely occur. It was best to keep outsiders out of this, whilst Suhov was a pup at best he could steal cause some serious devastation. Also, it was never fun to have a fight with a serious opponent interrupted by someone else.

"Now, I guess you've made your choice there's not much room for turning back. Well I guess Igloo can always renounce you and hand you over to us, that's a perfectly reasonable plan. It also gives us a bit more leverage over him which is nice as well." Shrugging, the CP9 agent took a deep breath in, letting his body relax ever so slightly before pulling his focus back together. Illya was strong, anyone could tell you that. The posture, the personality, the eyes, they all indicated someone who wasn't unaccustomed to this murder nonsense.

And with no warning at all, Argos was off, moving at what appeared to be lightning speed. Stopping right before Illya, the man used his hand/talon things to grab the head of the Minichibukai and slam him into the nearest wall. "Let's see what you can do buddy."

The hair limb struck JACOB's arm hard and true but it wasn't enough to shatter the extended metal, only enough to cause JACOB to lose his grip slightly allowing Raine to fall to the ground. The barrage of Rankyaku strikes certainly held the robot at bay, forcing him to raise up his arms to protect his face area.

<Boooo
You Are Mean>

JACOB tilted his head sideways, there were some visible scrapes from the Rankyaku strikes on the body of the metal man. This particular target was not going to go down easy like the rest of them. Unfortunate, he would have to resort to doing actual things to win. Disgusting.

<Initiating MURDER Protocol>

The cyborg's body began to glow in a red tint, steam slowly rising from the hot metal. Stomping forward, the sound of gears projected from JACOB's metal shell. Slowing for a second, JACOB burst forward at an insane speed, charging his body in the direction of Raine.

They moved like machines - no, not like machines, like parts of one machine. That was the only way to describe the way Arcadia's subordinates moved, even without her needing to lift a finger. Heck, she hadn't even shrugged, just... given her order as calmly as could be, even in the face of Eve's rage, and her people sprang into action like they'd been practising for this all year. Maybe they had, thought Uncarayne, and a tiny little frisson of concern ran up his spine. You probably didn't get to Shichibukai without stepping on a lot of toes along the way, which probably meant a lot of experience fighting any number of people. And the dossier on Arcadia... Uncarayne decided that he was definitely going to bug Argos and Henan about not having done briefings on Arcadia's people when all this was over. If it ended up that way, anyway... And besides, said the chill up the spine that seemed to have taken up residence somewhere behind his ears, what if Arcadia just had too many subordinates for the dossier and had only taken along the four or five that she thought would work best? Which would really explain things here -

The pillar of fire and wind slammed directly into a gush of water. There was a great spray of steam as the two forces met and (for a moment) cancelled each other out before the water prevailed and overpowered the shockwave. It gave Uncarayne that scant moment of time when the two forces were in perfect opposition to start running over the ceiling towards the group of Arcadia and co., because obviously trying to shoot them down from far-off distances wasn't going to work. On the other hand, screamed the chill behind his ears (which had escalated very quickly indeed), water was Bad News! Very very Bad News indeed - and as if to drive that point home, the stream of water caught Uncarayne across the leg as he passed over Bobby's head. It threw him off-pace by the reflexive recoil of his leg from the contact and the heat - which registered in his mind a moment later, when he had staggered back on course.

"Yikes! That stung!" he exclaimed, eyes wide as he stared at Bobby's staff adorned with Dials. "What do you even have on that?!" Steaming water? That was cheating! Water was bad enough, but that was just plain unfair-

-Wait a minute. Water? Near Eve the Lightning Lady? And the chill behind his ears went momentarily silent at the crazy idea that had just presented itself to Uncarayne. Yes. That was an awesome idea, if it went off, and Uncarayne rushed towards Eve...

...who was currently about to get punched in the face by Mac, so Uncarayne gathered himself and launched himself off the ceiling towards the man from behind, kicking off the ceiling as he left it to power his launch. As he came down, he swung his hammers out for Mac's head and neck, and his cry of "Ham Stopper Big! Ham Slicer Big!" was almost redundant because the time it took him to shout those phrases was less than the time it took him to travel between the ceiling and the floor.

As he hit the floor he flattened himself again, and then, barely pausing for breath, rose up out of it in a burst of sawdust and woodwork. "Room Raiser!" he cried, assembling the room around Bobby and Eve (and nobody else) out of solid walls and joints. Hot water wouldn't be spurting out of that for a long time, not unless somebody broke through it, so that was what was going to be needed for now, right? For good measure, he braced himself against the makeshift room and pushed it hard away from Arcadia, Mac, and the little girl with the gun. Let them try to pull the well-oiled machine act now! he thought.

Uncarayne's Techniques Used
Ham Slicer Big (14) Type:Melee
Range:Melee
Stats:N/A
Description: Branched from Ham Slicer (8). Uncarayne spins his knife-edge hammer in one hand before using the sharp edge to slash in front of him. This attack can break through constructs of Tier 2 hardness, or personal defenses of Tier 1 hardness.
Ham Stopper Big (14)
Type:Melee
Range:Medium range
Stats:N/A
Branched from Ham Stopper (8) . Uncarayne swings powerfully with the dead-blow hammer. The blow reverberates through the target struck, causing numbness in the entire limb.
Room Raiser (28)
Type:Quick-Construct
Range:Short
Stats:N/A
Description: Branched from Wall Raiser Deluxe (14). Uncarayne rapidly builds several walls of identical size (either the regular or deluxe types) and adds a wooden floor and roof to form an enclosed space. The room can have up to six sides, and Uncarayne can link multiple rooms together. He can even add simple boards that fold out from the wall to serve as basic chairs, tables, bunks, or shelves. The room is water-tight but not air-tight (depending on the openings in the walls).

Lights exploded, posters on the wall burst into flame and a powerful whine tore through the air as lightning whipped and tore at everything it could get at - most prominently Arcadia and her tightly-packed crew. Eve's teeth were clenched, both out of effort in producing such a bolt, but also in sheer anger. Arcadia was pushing every button into making Eve boil. She was the entire reason the Marine coat, with its brightly emblazoned symbol, existed. Once upon a time, Eve hadn't cared a great deal either. Monsters like Arcadia were quickly seeing that change. It was almost sad to see the corridor get eaten up by rogue arcs of electricity slicing through the wall and ceilings. Las Arcadas... a retreat where everyone could have fun, get away from their problems. Yet it hadn't been enough for little old Coney Hall: she just had to go and throw a big pile of misery elsewhere, as if to balance out her good deeds. "I don't know who or what happened to you in the past," Eve shouted through the bright blue flash of her attack, "but it doesn't justify your damn future!" Hall could pull the tragic childhood card as many times as she wanted, but it wouldn't slide. She had been given a chance and she had refused it: thus, Justice called for only one course of action. If there were to be pity for Arcadia when and if she left Las Arcadas, it would be up to someone with a fancier rank than Eve's. She was just the grunt doing the heavy lifting, but she was resolute in doing just that to the highest standing. The Fleet Admiral himself had commanded it, and there would be no effort spared in making that command a reality.

All the resolute amounted to not a single scratch being lain on any of that vile crowd. Eve panted gently and watch, with cautious eyes, as the electricity clawed, struggled and ultimately failed to bypass Hall's bulky bodyguard. She flinched, just slightly, at the thought of the man simply soaking up several millions volts head on with nothing but a beefy chest. No way that was possible - no way someone was that tough. The pose, the way he had used his hands made it seem like he was focusing something, some sort of ability, but Eve had already ruled out Devil Fruits from her mind. "Just what...?" she murmured under her breath. If nothing else, it was relieving to see that 'Mac' as he had been referred hadn't eaten Eve's blast like he would a tiny sweet.

But nor did it tire him enough to stop him completely. He's fast! Eve thought as her own body glowed and assumed a pure-lightning form. Something was off though, a realization that struck Eve in that split second she had to react. Arcadia was smart; she must have been, by now, aware of the nature of Eve's Devil Fruit abilities. There weren't many who could so much as scratch Eve in her present state. Yet, seemingly without any form of seastone weapon, this Mac character was bowling towards with full confidence. "...Wait-"

She was just a might too late. Though her body could physically move as fast as the speed of light, her reflexes weren't necessarily as quick. Eve transformed, began to flash herself out of the way of the blow, but began just as that fist came into contact with her side. Eve went tumbling close-by to one of Arcadia's other henchman, the one who had been preoccupied with her own buddy. The hit had been, thankfully, a glancing one thanks to Unca's heroics - something she would have to repay later with a round in the best bar they could find - and hadn't quite connected with her ribs enough to shatter them, but there would be one hell of a bruise there for some time. Mac, much like his build suggested, was packing some serious muscle, and speed, but he lacked finesse. It was not however, the man's brute force that concerned Eve - it was the very fact he was capable of hitting her at all. The bruise and the attack was eerily familiar, and her mind fell back to Birka, to before she had eaten that fruit and everything had started to spiral to unprecedented heights. The man she and Lucas Trent had faced had the same ability, an ability she had made sure to read-up on after it had left her in bandages for weeks. "Haki," she breathed quietly. One of the few forces on the planet that could hurt one of her kind. It shouldn't have been much of a surprise: this was still a Shichibukai they were dealing with.

At least, that's what Eve thought. "Thanks Unc- Wait, what are you...?" Before she could get any further, her fellow Marine was erecting an entire set of walls around her and the other henchman, 'Bobby'. "Unca?!" she called as the last wall went up. Though it was amazing to see any kind of construction go up that quickly, Eve's own worry and confusion overrode it. What was he doing cutting her off like that? Trying to protect her, or...?

Eve glanced around at the single other inhabitant of the makeshift room. Bobby, and his staff full of dials. And water. Sealed, at least temporarily, with her alone. For the first time in too long, a mean grin played on Eve's lips. "Oh, Unca," she said as a fresh ball of lightning charged itself up in her palm. "You're way too nice to me." As the ball reached its peaked, she uncurled her fingers and swept her palm around the perimeter of the room.

Great flashing light and the crack of thunder pulsed and boomed from within the enclosed cube.

Illya could not keep a frown off his face as the CP9 agent mention Mukade. Is that what the creature he had become was called? More importantly, how the hell did the man know that the pirate had eaten a fruit, going as far a mentioning specifically what that fruit was? Something was definitely suspicious here. Very suspicious. While it was possible that someone from the giant ship in the Florian Triangle could have sent out the information to all the Marines, that was highly unlikely considering the fact before setting foot on that ship the inventor had never heard of it before and that would be something that would be well known. After all, a safe haven for any kind of person? It would be a dream come true for most. No, it had to be something else. And the most likely thing was there was a Marine spy in the Frostbites crew. That had to be it. There was no way that the man could have figured out that the doctor had eaten a devil fruit, and a specific one at that, simply from feeling the heat coming off of him. No, the only explanation could be that there was a mole. The one armed man would definitely need to have words with Izuru about that. But for now he had to focus on the here and now.

While it was certainly fairly disappointing to learn that one of the trump cards that he had intended to use was already known to his opponent, at the very least said opponent revealed that he had also eaten a devil fruit. The martial artist watched with curiosity as blue and yellow flames began to lick the man's body. Before Illya could try to figure out what the devil fruit was, the agent revealed it to be one of the fruits used by one of the legendary pirates during the golden age. Great, of all the people he could fight, he had to deal with an immortal. But seeing as how this was clearly not Marco, that meant that there was a way to kill the user. Most likely with seastone, something that he fortunately had with him. The pirate continued to watch as the man created a ball of flame before dropping it to the ground, creating a barrier of flames. The inventor was not entirely certain what the purpose of this was considering that he was immune to the flames. Maybe the man did not know this, which was somewhat doubtful but the doctor was not going to test that theory by telling the agent that.

The one armed man kept silent as the agent prepared to fight. From what he could tell of the man, the martial artist knew that this would not be an easy fight. Gripping his spear, Illya prepared for the attack. Unfortunately, he was not prepared for the speed that the man could move with. As the man appeared before him, the pirate knew that he did not have the time for his body to react. Fortunately, the inventor had barely enough time to give a mental command to his armour, the latter encasing his entire body beneath his clothing but over his bandages moments before the hand talons grasped the head and slammed into the wall behind him, causing cracks to web across the stone. For a moment the doctor felt a bit dazed before his faculties fully returned. While he could not feel any pain from the impact, he could not be entirely too certain that he broken anything, though hopefully the armour absorbed a lot of the impact. And then the agent challenged him. Instead of answering with words, the one armed man answer with actions. Activating his powers, the martial artist flared the heat around him, causing the stairs and the walls to begin to glow, at the same time as he stabbed the seastone tipped spear at the man's stomach. Hopefully one of these attacks would cause damage.

William extended his wing forward to aim at someone and fire. He had to be very careful, and attack someone he could definitely hit so as not to waste his first attempt at reducing the enemy strength. Perhaps hoping to kill someone was foolish, but injury was definitely on the table. The only problem was who to aim at. There was this guy with a staff that produced steaming water called Bobby. There was this big guy called Mac who was able to withstand Eve's electric assault. And there was this other girl who didn't seem to take part of the fight yet. And then there was Arcadia herself. William's heart filled with dread at the thought of them not even needing the shichiukai to lift a finger to keep up with them. Until now, William did not know of anyone surviving against such odds. Well, unless you count the legends of all the previous pirate kings and justice heroes and all that crap he couldn't possibly verify. He sat there, frozen for a moment, not knowing how best to proceed.

It was then that Uncarayne moved away from his own opponent and attacked Mac, so William took the opportunity to fire at the same guy, in hopes of innjuring him. He was about to launch a feather at Mac's head with as much power as he could muster, hoping to stab it. At the same time though, a gun flashed in Will's direction, and a bullet hit him right across the chest, before he could do so or move away. He stifled the cry of sudden pain that came to his beak at that moment. It was more the fact that he was busy and didn't expect this gal was able to know his location without ever glancing at it and react so soon, rather than him actually being unable to dodge. It didn’t make any matter though, as his mane of solid feathers protected him quite well. It seems my target has chosen me instead. he thought as he sent two feathers towards the girl, one of which is hidden behind the other from her perspective. If she knew he was here without looking, then she might also see through this trick, but he wouldn’t understand her power if he didn’t test it.

In the following moments, William saw something very strange. There was suddenly a room in the middle of the crowd of fighters and Eve along with Bobby were nowhere to be found. Shit, Unca why did you have to isolate yourself. William knew that he couldn’t possibly concentrate only on the girl now that Uncarayne was facing two others, so he took flight and revealed his body entirely. He headed right for the fray of battle and started raining down feathers on everyone but Uncarayne and the room from all over his body. If this bitch was accurate and fast as he witnessed, she’d have to be non-existent to dodge what he’s throwing at them. They all would.

The woman had been expecting to hear and feel the sound of metal snapping as she struck his limbs and set herself free but that was not the case here. The joint held firm and seemed to retain its shape as she was dropped to the ground. The assassin landed on her feet and rolled to the side, creating a bit of distance between them as she caught her breath and tried to reassess the enemy. It seemed that whatever his body was made out of that it was tougher than most steels. Shame, that was her strongest punch too. She would have to resort to a few other options in that case. The woman rubbed her throat now, the flesh around the area he had latched on to being red with a circular mark around the neck. Now that she knew to expect that move she didn't plan to be caught by it again, at least not anywhere near as easily.

"Mean?" Well this insult was much more spot on than the previous one in her opinion. "As entertaining as this is there seem to be something greater going on here, so will you kindly die for me?" The woman stated, her gaze suddenly narrowing and her murderous intent becoming palpable for a moment before she stopped. No, she had a much better technique in store for an enemy of this type. Still, the sounds of crashing and combat coming from other parts of the building was really clawing at her attention right now especially with the possibility of a Shichibukai being involved as well as the appearance of all of these marines at one time. Before the white haired killer could continue though the robot was upon her once again, his body moving incredibly quickly. Fortunately she was able to keep up, side stepping his charge attack. That could have been bad.

After his body passed by her though she felt the rush of wind he left behind and a sudden heat wave as well. She looked to him again, Jacob's body glowing red hot as steam lifted from his body. Even from her current position she could feel the warmth radiating from his body. That was an issue, her hair would likely just burn up upon contact with his body or even before reaching him at all. The huntress had first hand experience with techniques of this type from their fight with the Don not that long ago. Her white hair began to recede now, returning to its normal length and tamed into their braids as she got into a combat stance. It wasn't her usual style but she figured she would simply go all in on the robot now. Usual assassin methods such as poison or striking delicate vital points wasn't an option here.

"White Thunder..." Her body began to bulk up now, gaining muscle mass and power in various points along with surges of electricity beginning to crackle around her body but most specifically concentrated on her right armored fist. The plan was simple she would strike him so hard and fast that the heat wouldn't even become a factor. That was the idea anyway. Putting it into practice was a different story. Still, even in this form she felt she could match the robot's speed and smash through his defenses as well. Darting towards his position she threw a charged punch right for his chest. It wouldn't be enough to destroy that metal exterior of his but she could still cause damage of some sort. The woman was also curious to see the result of electricity on this thing.

The two metal feathers soared through the air at Missy causing her to move as fast as she could out of the way. One of them missed completely but the other slashed its way through the side of the girl's left thigh. The gunwoman gritted her teeth, instantly finding support up against a nearby pillar. Without a moment to breathe, the woman watched as William went to the air and begun raining down a small storm of metal feathers from the sky. Shaking her head, she dropped her pistol and pulled out two larger mini-guns.

"Let me show you why I'm the best."

Missy smiled, aiming both guns upwards at the feathers. Without hesitation, she fired at any of the metal projectile that would fatally hit either Arcadia, Mac or herself. She smiled as the storm ceased, putting both guns down and picking up he large pistol again. She raised her weapon, directing it to William, some minor wounds adding to the heavy damage to her leg.

"So, let's just say I'm not a fan of you. Also I think you're kind of a dick. Not in the endearing way like I think some of my friends are dicks but in the 'you probably steal objects from children' kind of dick. So yeah, suck on this."

The woman smirked, firing a seastone-imbued bullet straight at the man's stomach.

"You wanna die?" Mac stared down Uncarayne after all the antics, the martial artist having dodged the main brunt of the two attacks despite being glanced in the neck by both. The man was not happy, understandable if you realise he'd been assaulted by a roof tile and getting scraped by a metal bird. "I don't know what the fuck is going on with all this 'build-a-house' nonsense but it's rubbing me the wrong way. Well I guess Bobby should be able to deal with her, I don't mind having to beat the shit out of a guy like you either. Always leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I punch a lady in the face but mind you that might have something to do with the blood that flies everywhere."

The man put a hand around his neck, glancing at the blood that was slowly being produced by the wound on his neck. Shaking his head, Mac sized up his newfound best friend for life. Strong, Uncarayne oozed strength. Far more strength than Mac currently had. Not good, not good at all. Well, at least there was a remedy for this problem. The martial artist calmed his body, allowing his body to tighten the muscles in his body. This was a high risk play, but they were near a casino after all.

Not even stopping for enough time to think of something witty and/or offensive to say, Mac dashed towards Uncarayne, closing the gap in a matter of microseconds. Concentrating haki onto his fist once again, the boxer smashed a brutal punch aimed at the Devil Fruit user's throat.

Meanwhile, inside the wooden hut that Uncarayne had graciously built for everyone, Bobby was in a bad place. Thinking fast, the youngest member of Arcadia's crew planted his staff firmly onto the ground and activated a few of the dials located near the base of the pole. As the electricity flooded the room, the thunder all moved directly towards the staff, causing it to crumble under the sheer quantity of power being produced by Eve.

"Yeah… Umm… I made a lightning rod, I think. Well, not really… I just created a massive difference in potential between you and the staff so that it wanted to go there or something… I don't actually understand the science… Coney told me to do it if I ever had to… I don't have a staff now though…"

Bobby looked around, he was kinda stuck. The staff contained the majority of his utility and combat ability and that was in a pile of ash on the ground right now. Yeah, not a good place to be in. The boy frowned, pulling out four individual dials from his pocket. He was going to have to use them even though they had only a fraction of the potential utility his staff possessed.

Activating two of the dials, a small ball of ice began to form around Bobby. Shuddering, the boy continued to let the ball grow as it grew into a small blizzard that covered the inside of the small house.

Argos gritted his teeth. Armour, of course. Then Suhov turned up the heat. Not bad, not bad at all. The seastone spear glanced by the agent's side, the Phoenix gracefully moving his body to the side. It wasn't enough to cause any significant damage but it did form a wound before the flames flickered and restored the damage.

"Not bad, not bad at all. Well, I mean you could have hit me straight in the chest, that would have been an optimal strategy. Oh well, they say you lost from your mistakes. You must have made a lot of mistakes in your time hey?"

Despite all that Argos was on edge, it was never a good sign when someone was able to survive a heavy blow to the head even if they were a magical millipede. The heat being produced by Illya wasn't anything to be afraid of, he was a being of flames as well though it was pretty evident that people would be unlikely to willingly move towards the sources of the intense heat. The martial artist scanned Suhov's body for any signs of a hidden threat, it was much harder to do this against Devil Fruit users but he was still going to try.

"You know, things would be so much easier if we just worked together. Why do the people with bullshit powers always work for the other side?"

Coating his body in flames again, the Phoenix-man began swirling around the bright blue flames making them as bright as possible. Shutting his eyes for a split moments, the man let the bright flames explode outwards, blinding anyone else in the room with a flash of pure light. Dashing forward in the opening he had created, Argos leaped upwards and launched a ferocious kick towards the petty insect's neck.

Metal on metal. The two forces collided for a brief second before the two separated, both participants being forced back ever so slightly by the other's dumb amount of power. JACOB spluttered, heat continued to radiate around the room. The burst of electricity had made its way into JACOB's circuity, messing around with the physical make-up of the budget Robocop.

The machine's communication functions were a wreck. The man's posture was hunched over, random lights flashing around the man's body like stars in the night sky. JACOB eyed down Raine like the woman had just stepped on a child, trying to access words in his database but finding random gibberish instead. Grinding gears in his body, JACOB firmly planted his feet onto the ground and squarely faced the white haired lady who had rudely assaulted him with thunder magic or something.

Smiling, JACOB fired a series of directed projectiles from his body, watching as ten homing missiles all made their way through the air towards their desired target.

There was a great flurry of movement all around them as feathers (very familiar-looking feathers, and something pinged in Uncarayne's memories, and just a moment later he saw William the man himself, though quite not in his man shape) struck the floor, in between the sound of the little girl's gun going off, fast as thought and her fingers would allow. Off in the distance and in the room Uncarayne had built for Bobby and Eve, a bright light pulsed through the tiny air-gaps in the walls. All that was in Uncarayne's peripheral vision, off in the corners of his attention, because...

"If it's all the same to you I'd really rather not!" said Uncarayne hopefully, running a hand through his hair and ruffling it even more than it already was as he interrupted Mac in the middle of the other man's speech and kept on talking over the other man's words. "I mean, it does seem a crying shame to be up here fighting and all when you've got literal entire floor-sized restaurants and pubs -" And then his brain caught up to what he was hearing from Mac, and he trailed off with a disappointed "...oh, really?" Then an irritated: "Hey! That's a really good room, you know! It's not nonsense at all!"

Indignant, Uncarayne huffed. "You really need to learn how to appreciate good carpentry when you see it, you know, it's not easy being an O'Brien carpenter, you have to wake up at weird hours of the night and saw wood until the sun comes up, now that is nonsense I could tell you about -"

But Mac had already fallen silent and gone preternaturally still. Uncarayne stared at the man warily, and then - oh, crap, he thought, as an indefinable sheen crept up - not up from the man's feet, but up from the insides of the man - and covered the man's muscles, oozing strength and power and... yes, and danger. The sense of impending badness only worsened when the man's focus snapped back onto Uncarayne, like a bear trap closing except with less spring in it.

Warily, Uncarayne took a cautious step back over the uneven, feather-ruined floor, and brought up his hammers in a guarding position. Suddenly black covered the man's fist (Aunt Portia? shot through Uncarayne's mind), and before Uncarayne could blink or call out a counter-attack, the fist was at his throat, having entirely passed by his hammers, and Mac's face was looming in Uncarayne's vision right behind it. For an instant the impact lifted Uncarayne off his feet, which was no mean feat, and then it drove Uncarayne right into the ceiling, where by instinct or reflex he flattened himself and stayed there.

"Arckh - hakh - aaaaargh!" he choked out in lieu of the really bad words he would rather have been shouting at Mac, trying to clear his throat while he rubbed on it with his free hand. His goggles were already fogging up with tears from the pain of the impact, which also made it hard for him to watch Mac. Okay, so jumping on the man was a bad idea when he could do things like that - he was frighteningly fast - but that didn't mean Uncarayne didn't have a few tricks up his sleeve himself. More correctly, if what he was seeing was right, and if the feathers peppering the floor were going to act the way William's feathers had acted the last time he'd seen them... Still on the ceiling and increasing the distance between Mac and himself, he quickly pulled off his goggles and rubbed his eyes dry before pulling the goggles back on, and then coughed again.

"Thaaaargh -" Uncarayne shook his head vigorously, coughing again - a bit of blood came out with the latest bout of coughing, and he abandoned attempts at further conversation, instead swinging his hammer at an angle to pick up some of the numerous feathers that William had generously scattered all over the floor, leaving the ones nearest Mac's feet where they lay. Another snap of his fingers, and like before a gout of flame exploded out down from the ceiling, carried towards Mac by the onrushing shockwave. The only difference this time was that it carried within it numerous little William-feathers to plaster all over Mac, and there wasn't any more Bobby to put it out!

Gradually the lights died down and the static storm shaking the air within the construct faded. The stench of ozone, unable to escape quick enough through the small air vents, groped at Eve's nostrils and made them twitch in disgust. It was a smell, that she would undoubtedly need to get used to for the rest of her life - no backing out of that particular contract. What made her nostrils flare more than the scent, however, was the man known as Bobby. The fact he was still standing after having such a discharge thrown at him really went to show what kind of people they were having to deal with, and it did not mesh with Eve one bit. She could afford some sense of victory and relief and seeing the man's weapon - some bizarre kind of staff - disintegrate into so much fine ash that it would never be identified again outside of memory. It was a step in the right direction, but they needed one giant leap. Thanks to the walls surrounding them both like some hastily-built colosseum, Eve wasn't entirely sure what was going on outside, but it didn't sound great. Gunfire, and pained choking from someone who was not to have a single hair on his goofy head harmed. She needed to deal with Bobby and get back out there as soon as physically possible, and to that end she started to unzip the bottom of the guitar bag that had sat unassuming on her back the whole time.

Bobby, too, was on the move. Eve did not understand the science behind his now past-tense staff or whatever his new efforts were, but she didn't need to. Before the frost had even started to form, Eve had the sense to assume her lightning form. She had been blindsided once already and didn't intend for it to happen again. It wasn't clear whether Bobby was planning to hide away in a block of ice for the rest of the fight, whether he was unaware of her invulnerability to something as banal as cold, or was just trying to delay her; either way, the chill failed and Eve made her move. In a flash, she appeared behind the timid figure while pulling the contents of the bag and discarding the carrier itself, all with a dramatic flourish.

A beautiful cylinder of polished silver shone even in the dim light of the hut. It was rapidly orientated towards Bobby's back and, more importantly, the vague direction Eve had been certain Arcadia had been standing in before the walls went up. A thin blue spiral started to glow around the rifle's barrel and Eve braced herself as she poured her power into it. "Sorry," she muttered to her foe. She didn't know if Bobby could hear her over his small storm and the ice surrounding his body. She didn't know him either. He came across as the shy, nerdy kid in a playground being bullied into doing things he didn't really want to. Terrible things that'd get him into trouble and which might haunt him for the rest of his days. What was she to do? He had chosen his lot, whether coerced or not, and the only available option was to deal with him; violently, at that. Facts were facts, "You're in the way."

Eve pulled the trigger and a bullet was fired down the barrel. Before it had even left its holding, a concentrated magnetic field picked it up and carried it, coil by coil, until it was travelling several times faster than the speed of sound. Its intense acceleration made the air glow around it as it exploded from the gun and shrieked its way forward, towards the ice, Bobby, the wooden wall and whoever stood beyond them. Eve was confident that all of them combined wouldn't do much to stop her bullet. There was a chance, she knew, that her own friend could be beyond it, could be in the way but Eve had seen Unca in action plenty of times before however and was well acquainted with his abilities. Knowing him, he'd be safely tucked into the floor, ceiling or walls and at most might get a bit of a fright. They'd all had several of those already; what was one more?

Illya frowned behind his mask as the CP9 agent moved his body away from the seastone tip. While the spear was able to score a glancing strike at the man's body, the damage was almost immediately healed by the powers of the devil fruit. It seemed that he would have to insure that the spear remained in the man for long enough for him to die. That still brought up the question as to whether or not the man could somehow heal from death. The pirate would loath to leave the season inside the man to ensure that he remained dead but if that was what it would take, then unfortunately it would have to be done. Another pressing concern was the fact that the man showed no hints of being bothered by the intense heat around him. That was rather suspicious considering the fact that Phoenix flames were not supposed to cause any damage, such as heat or burning, but it was always possible that the inventor was simply misremembering and this was a different Phoenix, though that was highly unlikely. Either way, the healing factor by itself would be very difficult to deal it, even more so if his heat trump card was completely useless.

And the man kept blathering on. It seemed that he really liked to hear himself talk. And while his comment on stabbing the spear into the chest was good in theory, the proximity between them when the stab was made, made it very difficult to go for a chest stab. Sure it would have been great if the chest stab could have been carried out but it was simply not possible at the time. "You lost from your mistakes?" the doctor asked, his voice muffled by the armoured helmet. "As for making a lot of them, most people tend to and undoubtedly you made just as many yourself." the one armed man continued. He did not particularly want to engage the man in a conversation but it was common courtesy to say something, even if it was just a little bit. "You know, if you just came to the side of freedom, then we wouldn't have to fight." the bugman said lightly, even though he did not believe for a second that the agent would take him up on that offer. As another round of banter came to a close, another round of fighting took its place.

As the man began to glow brightly, Illya began to have a fairly good idea of what was about to happen, closing his eyes against the glare. If he was right about his assumptions, that glare was a distraction for an upcoming attack, which while predictable was also very effective since his helmet did not provide enough shade. Thankfully this was a rather narrow staircase so that limited the direction and type of attack that the man could administer. Plus the pirate was fairly confident in his armour ability to soak up the damage, or at the very least mitigate it. From what he had seen so far, not that he had seen a lot, it appeared that the man liked to use his overwhelming speed for dash attacks. Hopefully that meant that he was unable to change direction once he was committed to it. As another bright flash of light light up his eye lids, the inventor raised his spear and braced the butt against the wall, hoping that whatever the agent decided to do would result him in getting impaled on the seastone tip. Opening his eyes, the doctor blinked away the stars just in time to see the man appear in front of him in the air. Almost instinctively the one armed man formed a second arm out of his hair, encasing it in armour and bringing it up towards his neck in an attempt to block the kick.

William had to give it to this gal, She is a first grade marksman… or markswoman? You never know what to call career women these days. he thought as he observed her shoot down all the feathers that would severely harm anyone on her side. He smirked at that. "You’re indeed the best, but that’s not necessarily enough to beat me." Will wasn’t going to explain his powers to anyone, until they find out to their sorrow. The important thing was that they were wounded. As long as his feathers draw blood, their purpose would be fulfilled sooner or later. Not to mention that most of them had hit the floor and shattered enough of it for their ability to take root. Soil would have been much better of course, but rubble would have to do under current circumstances.

Still, his opponent proved to be much faster than he had anticipated which would prove to be a great advantage to her as soon as she learns all of William’s tricks. He had a lot of those of course, but tricks always run out, and some of them can’t hope to work twice on someone with her level of perception, so he had to make them count. She was nice enough to give him a monologue about how little she thought of him, so he used that time to float close to the wall, ready for whatever innovative bullets she would throw at him next to deal with his metallic protection. It could be anything really, ranging from seastone or supreme salt to a really powerful explosive that can destroy his feathers, but Will had a good way to dodge it, so whatever it was, it didn’t matter. He just had to think thoroughly about what to do next, and how to use his soon-to-come advantage wisely. The feathers had already started to wilt, he had noticed, and soon they will expand dramatically.

"I’m more of a ‘steal a baby and seduce the mother’ kind of dick, but whatever floats your boat.” he said as he reached with his tiny legs to the wall and propelled himself instantly to a very well calculated location. Uncarayne was on the offensive at that moment, and there was nothing like ganging up on someone to corner them, so William zoomed past everyone instantly and stopped hovering below his comrade, in a position that made use of Mac to obscure him from Missy’s vision. He had no doubt Missy would be able to follow his soru later on, but hopefully, this first time would confuse her enough to lose sight of him for a few moments. He proceeded to attack the enemy martial artist, sending another wave of steel damaging feathers his way. At the same time, he heard the wall of the room next to them crack open and saw out of the corner of his eye something zoom past him towards the opposing side. He didn’t know if Eve used bullets, but her opponent sure didn’t seem like he knew how to use a gun, and this was fast even for a bullet, which reeked of her particular brand of logia, which gladdened him. It meant that she was on the offensive.

As the attacks rained on Mac, the feathers that were previously scattered all over the floor, and those thrown towards Mac by Uncarayne’s shockwave, started expanding quicker than ever, transforming effectively into copious amounts of toxic quagmires. For lack of soil to soak up the thick fluid, it was growing upward and flooding the corridor. By the end of William’s attack, all feathers he had launched before had melted to their maximum size, flooding the corridor and leaving no chance to stay out of it while standing on one’s feet inside the corridor. William wondered if this Mac guy would be able to keep his fighting stance with all this.

As he floated next to his comrade, he transformed into his hybrid form to use his hands. He grabbed one of his red pills and said: "Long time, buddy. Here is a gift. Use it when you’re in need." and waited for his friend to take the pill, since he couldn’t put it in his pocket while he was flattened like that, all the while keeping everyone else in his sight and wary of any attacks coming from their enemies.

After that, Will moved aside as soon as he could. He figured that the more he moved around, the less chance Missy would get to hit him. Hopefully, they would all get infected with the toxin and come out of this assault weaker, and in the meantime, William can catch his breath, since he knew that he would need to exert himself much more when Arcadia starts fighting herself. At that point, he would be lucky if exertion is all he had to worry about.

The metal bastard was definitely sturdy, she'd give him that, although that much was already pretty well known based on his arm not snapping from her previous attack. Much the same as then, it seemed that there was no major physical damage done to his torso after that punch despite her using life return to amp up her muscle mass. By this point the robot was serving as nothing more than a wall dteterring the assassin from grouping back up with William rather than being an actual opponent. He didn't really show any form of complex thinking or combat strategy rather than using whatever was available to try to kill her which wasn't too bad but it made his moves much more predictable and easier to read as the fight went on. She had already seen that his hand could turn into an extendable choker of some sort, he could fire missiles from his body, and that his entire form was capable of heating up. He couldn't have too many other tricks up his sleeve.

She was preparing to revise her strategy but there seemed to be signs of damage as the machine hunched over and words tried to escape its mouth but instead came out in the form of a garbled mess of alphabets more than anything else. She glanced at the sparks dancing all around her right arm and smiled. It seemed her hunch had been correct. It didn't matter if she couldn't smash that metal exterior if she practically fried his interior. As the robot attempted to regain his composure she managed to make out the word die. It seemed he wasn't totally out of it, but again with the same tactic of just firing a bunch of missiles at her all at once. She sighed. The assassin had high hopes at the start of this but it seemed the match had quickly degraded into a repititive drag. Her hair soon sprung to life once more, tendrils branching out before connecting into the form of several legs that began to lash out in a frenzy, sending out shockwaves to collide with the rockets mid flight and detonate them.

As her hair took care of the homing projectiles she would be dashing forward, stopping just short of the impending smoke cloud and out of sight from Jacob before suddenly appearing before him. She was hoping to end this as quickly as possible, not only to be done with the robot but also to reduce the stress on her body. She could already feel her stamina depleting from holding not only this more muscular form but also from maintaining the static charge on her fist. "Aku Jugon." She aimed the punch right where the previous one had landed, hoping to smash through this time. Even if it didn't the robot would be receiving another massive shock to its systems.

Bobby wasn't fairing too well at all. Well, technically he was about to die. Not an enjoyable situation to be in, definitely on his 'Top 5 Worst Moments of All Time' list. As the large discharge railed its way into the young lad's neck, a subconscious countdown began ticking down in the dial user's brain. Spinning around, the boy moved his hand to one of his many pockets, quickly finding a small vial of liquid in his pocket. The countdown quickly began to dissipate as the perfectly normal human being had current bolt through his system.

As his muscles started to fail, Bobby threw the dial with the lid open causing the viscus liquid to fly out and cover Eve along with anyone else in this cosy little home that Uncarayne had carefully and lovingly constructed. Gasping for air as his lungs were rather messed up, Bobby tried to make a small grin but his facial muscles were pretty much completely fucked.

Why would you kill Bobby? He's a nice dude. Dickhead.
Type: You're a monster
Range: I hope you die
Stats: Sad face
Description:Since Eve is basically a murder (and Bobby threw liquid and stuff), the Devil Fruit user has been coated in a budget seastone substitute called 'I Can't Believe it's Not Seastone!'. Whilst not debilitating like normal seastone, Eve cannot use any Devil Fruit abilities for the next two posting rounds.

Bobby slumped backwards, permanently down for the count leaving Eve all alone in the wooden house with a few holes caused by multiple bolts of lightning. At least his parting gift was a powerful one.

Arcadia glanced at the quagmires that Will had made, awful and disgusting. Pulling out a few metal bearing from her bag, she dropped them on the ground. As they bounced, they swiftly formed a circle around the Shichibukai and the gunwoman. Mac could handle himself. A sharp screeching sound buzzed through the air, the inventor had created a repulsive field that seemed to repel the swamp away. It stopped the poison for now but it also heavily restricted their movements. A small price to pay to stay alive. Keep calm.

"You like to talk don't you? I guess we'll get along just fine then." Mac on the other hand was in an irratic state, his eyes were bloodshot and his muscles were pulsing as blood quickly rushed through the fighter's body. Will's feathers had slammed into parts of his body, causing blood to fly out. His clothing was slowly becoming dyed with red. Nothing was natural about his body right now, it was like he was surviving on something far more than fumes. His wit and foul mouth was still there though so that was kind of a conciliation. The increased pressure he exerted on his body was slowly taking its toll, apparently this wasn't good for your health. Who knew?

The wind pillar along with the feathers slammed into Mac's body, he really didn't seem to care about avoiding damage anymore. The audible sound of bones breaking resonated through the air but the man was completely unfazed. Two ribs and an arm? It was painful but completely bearable. However the actual flesh seemed to slowly latch back together, like a living organism desperately trying to stay alive. Using haki to fortify his arm, allowing it to still be used, the boxer simply did his best to shrug off his pain. Staring down the odd fella on the ceiling, all Mac could do was shake his head. Not enough to close out, the man with a handtool fetish was going to have to try a lot harder.

"Are we done with the boring bullshit? Can I go ahead and show you how real men conduct they business? No need to actually answer buddy." Like that Mac jumped up at Uncarayne, using Geppo to stabilise himself on the way up. Having gained equal high ground with the Devil Fruit user, Mac slammed one of his fists into the roof, shattering the ceiling and causing Unca to lose the ground he was so firmly attached on. Without hesitation, Mac grappled onto the tile man as they plummeted back down to earth where Will's lovely poison swamps lied in waiting.

"Aww c'mon. Fight like a man. What's this evasion bullshit, even I've got more balls than you." Missy had a sharp eye, allowing her to keep a firm eye on everything going on. William was being a giant pain, he wasn't staying contained but was trying to actively influence every little skirmish going around right now. There was a lot of problems with that, his Devil Fruit abilities were a wild card that were not fun to have to deal with.

"Oh, Missy. Catch." Arcadia threw the markswoman a single bullet, the Shichibukai still not shifting her gaze from Mac, visible concern had begun forming on her face. "It's still a prototype but it’s the closest thing we've got. It doesn't quite fire at the speed of sound but it's still fast as fuck. Just be sure to turn it on before you fire it, also make sure it targets the right person. If this flies around and slams me in the neck I'm going to wring your neck out. Ok? Cool."

Missy caught the bullet, glancing at it for a moment before smirking. Excellent, this would deal with Will briefly. He probably wouldn't be able to continue acting like a bastard with this on his tail. Pulling out a light blue coloured pistol from her side, the gunslinger swiftly loaded the bullet and pointed it at Will within a second. Smirking, she hit two buttons as the barrel began to glow a vibrant red. Without hesitation she fired, a single bullets spiralling out of the chamber and into the air.

"Hey birdbrain, let's see how you stop trying to be the hero and start running around like a headless chicken. I'd find that rather amusing."

The hair certainly mitigated a lot of the force of the kick but it wasn't enough to stop Argos from striking the man on the neck, causing the centipede to fly backwards into the side of the stairwell. The phoenix exhaled, trying to regulate his heartbeat. It was important to keep calm, one false step when the stakes were this high would result in death. As fire continued to dance around Argos's body, the martial cautiously moved towards the place where Suhov had gracefully collided into a wall.

"Freedom is such a broad word. I mean, my side is pretty free to do what we want to do to protect the majority of mankind. Your side is free to do degenerate things like the criminals you are. I hear the local orphanage has a bake sale you can crash, murder the children and steal between twenty to forty thousand dollars. I also get paid far too much to contemplate joining your mighty group of super friends."

The suited gentleman and/or bastard gritted his teeth. Turns out exchanging blows with a person who was made of some metal every now and then was not great on the body. Tilting his head to the left, Argos smirked. It was rare when he had to dig past the first level of his arsenal to deal with an opponent. This was good, he was getting rusty anyway.

Forming two fists together, the Phoenix took a deep breath and focused the energy from his entire body into two points in his hand. Releasing it all at once, a coursing shockwave dashed through the air, straight through Illya's chest and into the wall behind him.

Rokugan
Type: Offensive
Range: Very Short
Stats: -22 Stamina, -22 Accuracy
Description:Using principles of all six Rokushiki techniques, this technique executes a devastating close-range attack. Though it must be used on a target no more than a yard from the user, this technique creates a shockwave that bypasses any and all forms of physical defense, doing internal damage to its victim as if they were utterly unarmoured and made of ordinary flesh and blood (though it does not bypass logia abilities on its own). Additionally, the shock of this attack is particularly incapacitating, weakening the target significantly for three posts from the time it last hit them.

It looked like fireworks in the night sky, kinda. Well not really, it was more like the midst of a war only instead of two armies it was a woman who could control her hair and a robot who was currently mentally handicapped. Smoke and debris was filling the casino, the impact from the missiles were definitely still causing damage (especially to the normal human beings trapped in the area). Lawson picked himself up from the ground, watching as the white haired woman slammed the robot, causing JACOB to slide backwards.

The android just stood there, slumping over, as one by one his lights dimmed down. It was unclear whether he was actually fully dead or not but right now JACOB was nothing more than a lump of metal and flesh standing on the ground.

"Not bad," Lawson spoke up addressing Raine. The marine captain coughed out some blood, having taken the brunt force of JACOB's projectile earlier. "I could of taken him if I wasn't on the ground bleeding." The captain glanced around, all of his men were down for the count, at least half of them had taken lethal damage. Everything had gone wrong today, this mission was supposed to be fast and quick but instead it had ended up like this. "Ok let's cut to the chase here. I am Captain Russel Lawson of the Marine Corp. I need your help and judging by the fact that you're clearly exhausted I'm assuming you wouldn't mind receiving some of my help either."

The brown haired marine picked up his sword which had been strewn on the ground. Blood dripping from his arm, Lawson extended a hand to Raine. "Frankly, when you're going up against a Shichibukai it's usually a top idea to have strong people on your side. Especially when they can destroy a robot person. I'm sure there is something in this for you if you take us up on this offer."

Uncarayne remained high on the ceiling, getting his wind back and rubbing vigorously at his throat to soothe it. It still hurt, but at least he wasn't spraying blood from agonised coughs anymore, which was a definite improvement. Right then he took the pill that he had gotten from William - almost certainly, he thought with a small grin, the same pill he'd been given back on Sicilie, or at least a very similar one. He popped in his mouth and, with a grimace as the pill scraped against the raw insides of his throat, swallowed it. The familiar onrushing of energy came back to him in that moment, like a full-body caffeine shot. His grin only got wider; from his vantage point he could see the room he'd built for Eve and Bobby glowing with light before something burst right out of the room like a bat out of - well, wherever bats burst out of. Caves?

The floor was covered in the expanding puddles of toxic goo that had come from William's discarded feathers, even the ones he'd sent rushing into Mac's face, but as always Arcadia had already got something up for that. A bunch of things that looked like ball bearings but that emitted a horrible noise and somehow kept the quagmires away from them, though this time Arcadia didn't bother with the long "and this is how this is going to kill you!" speech. Given its apparently defensive nature, it probably couldn't do that anyway, though Uncarayne thought Arcadia probably had already built those capabilities into those things. Maybe they exploded too.

"I'm glad to see you're coming around!" said Uncarayne, his tone just as insincere as Mac's. Two could play the sarcasm game. "Are you sure you wouldn't rather have a nice little sit-down with a pint of bitter? You're in a bad, bad shape!" Okay, so that last part wasn't sarcastic at all. Mac was in a bad way; for whatever reason, he hadn't put up the barrier against Uncarayne's fire, Ham Venti Pillar, or William's feathers that he'd used against Eve's lightning. He hadn't even done the thing where he turned black and extra hard: he'd just stood there and taken it all, and now you could hardly tell what colour his clothes had been before because it was all getting dyed blood-red. "You're going to need so much baking soda to get that out," noted Uncarayne helpfully. On the other hand - oh great, thought Uncarayne, think of the devil and he comes - that black thing was appearing on Mac's arm, spreading down it and... holding it together. That was the arm that had taken the brunt of the force from Uncarayne's previous attacks, too, wasn't it? Uncarayne frowned.

"!!!" said Uncarayne, blinking, as Mac took one superpowered jump, instantly reaching the ceiling just in front of Uncarayne and hanging there for a moment - and then punching the ceiling. Cracks spread rapidly out from the point of impact, soon reaching Uncarayne and the ceiling he was adhering to, and dislodging much of the plaster and stuff to make it fall down. Uncarayne decided to move towards the walls where it was likely to be a little safer, but too late - Mac had already grabbed the chunk of ceiling he was attached to and grappling Uncarayne right there, and they were falling.

Uncarayne looked up at Mac, who was trying to grapple him while he was still spread over the ceiling-chunk. "Real men, right?" said Uncarayne, shaking his head with a sour grin, and simply travelled over Mac's arms onto his back, leaving the man hugging the plaster. "Pop Sloth!" he exclaimed, kicking himself off of Mac's back and, like Mac, hanging for a moment in the air. In a moment he had assembled a wall, but laid it horizontally so that it was a barrier between himself and the quagmires on the floor. Just in time, too; not a moment later, Mac struck the floor with a heavy splatter of William's mud, and Uncarayne's improvised little raft hit it almost immediately after. The quagmires splashed against the sides of the makeshift raft, but didn't sink it or slop very far over its edges - certainly not far enough to touch Uncarayne; some of the mud splashed over Mac. Uncarayne didn't give Mac a chance to try another thing, though, as he stood up on the raft and leaned over the man; his hammer was spinning in his hand, a sharp whine already emitting from it and steadily increasing in volume. "Let me show you this... business. Ham Slicer Big EEE!"

He raised the hammer up, still shrieking and spinning, and brought it down on Mac.

The ear-splitting BOOM! of Mach speed shook the walls of the tiny house and echoed throughout the largely empty halls of the many restaurants that littered that particular floor. No matter how loud it had been however, the noise didn't stay long enough to drown out far worse sounds. Sounds that made Eve sick to her stomach. Viscera was splayed out in front of Bobby like a shotgun blast of red and the whole room stood in a perversely respectful silence as more of the boy's lifeblood dripped onto the ceramic tiles from the mangled flesh around his chest. Eve, with a tense breath, lowered her rifle. She didn't know Bobby, but she knew he wasn't going to survive for much longer. The iron grip on her rifle only got stronger as she watched him struggle to turn around, and a regular wooden-built stock might have snapped under her fingers but she was rooted to the spot and couldn't look away as the face turned to meet her's.

A mistake on her part. Before she could react Bobby, in a final attempt to aid his boss - or friend - sent a vial of foul-looking liquid soaring through the air and spraying everything with a thin layer of blueish-grey goop. Eve had been on edge practically the entire day and still remained in her logia form. Her confidence in her power's failed her, as the liquid struck and adhered to her skin regardless. It was like being splashed with acid; a bitterly cold acid. She gasped, stumbled back and clawed at her chest in an attempt to remove the substance, but it cooled her hand just as badly and they flinched away from further contact. Eve had felt that same sensation exactly once before and it was just as horrible then as it was now. Whatever it was that coated Eve felt all too similar to being submerged in water. Her muscles didn't fail her like they had then but that sensation of numbness, of having a part of you sucked out like ice would suck out heat, remained all too vivid.

Bobby still seemed worse for wear, though. He was experiencing a far worse cold. His muscles had failed, as had everything else. Eve could only offer him an angry and dispassionate glare. "Stupid kid. If you had just... if you'd just..." Her teeth clenched and ground shut, barring any further words. It's his fault. It's his and Arcadia's fault. And, thinking of Arcadia, Eve regained use of her legs. There wasn't time to lose thinking about it, only time for doing. She hastily stepped over to the other side of the wall where her Goro-powered shot had torn a hole through the wood. She tried, and failed, on the way to call forth a few sparks, a little orb of electricity, but came up with nothing. The liquid, whatever it was, truly was like seastone in its effects and was thoroughly unpleasant to have just sitting on her chest. She couldn't get rid of it herself, but at the very least it didn't look to have hardened and was dripping off slowly by itself. In the meantime, she was back to being just regular old Eve - regular old Eve with a bone to pick and a shiny new gun to pick them with.

As Eve approached the hole it became clear that Arcadia was still standing, unfortunately, but that could be changed later; the sight of Unca and Mac wrestling then falling was what really caught Eve's attention. Instantly her temper flared and worry gripped her chest, while her rifle swung back up so its sights met her eye-line. "Oh, no you assholes don't!" she growled under her breath. Arcadia had already hurt many people. She didn't get to hurt any more. On the contrary, it was time, Eve felt, that the Marines acted as karma and show her what it meant to hurt. Mac and Unca may have been falling, may have ended up in whatever substance oozed along the floors, but Eve's trained sight picked up the right arc and angle in a split second. There was no fancy spiral of power, no charged magnets to give the bullet that little push, but a bullet was a bullet and being struck by one would hurt no matter what, even if someone could imbue themselves with haki. Especially when it was in the head.
