"Venka" Our hero and protagonist, Amazing Sylvette Grace, was hard at work in training her Life Return. Despite the shoddy attempt that she and her pal Yori had attempted on Machine Island, they did not get much of the basics down. As they would come to find out from further reading of the materials; the articles in the magazine that they had read were only warm-ups! They had felt silly about it, but there wasn't much time for them to train together, as when the group of little W.O.R.M.S were promoted, Yori Nafiga Leriwyn—now Lieutenant Commander Leriwyn— was reassigned to another operation. Amazing did not pry the reason for such a sudden move. She just hoped that was not assassinations again, as the thought of her friend killing for the government made her sad. "Fifty... eight..." The Commander's high-pitched voice was terribly exasperated as it called out the number with each repetition of the exercise that she was currently doing, which at the moment were push-ups. The female was in the comfort of her own room, not wanting to bother what Jaqk was doing. She actually had no idea of what he was doing; she gave him permission to plant the seeds that he'd obtained from the Boin Archipelago in her garden, so he may have been there. Sometimes he seemed to be sitting on the deck with his fishing rod in the water and enjoying the mini-game of fishing. Well, she couldn't read minds so she had no idea of whether or not he was actually enjoying it. Pushing back to the floor and then back up, she let loose a silent 'fifty-nine' from her mouth as her arms trembled beneath her. "I gotta do it... For Yori!" The mental shouting she let loose was enough for her tremulous arms to remain rigid for a few seconds and push low to the ground. "Six-" Amazing used all of her strength to begin pushing up. Slowly but surely she made her way up to her original position. Drops of sweat poured from her face and individually punched the floor in a gattling-like fashion. "-ty" The caramel Commander smiled to herself, proud that she was able to get through the set without too much trouble. It was not long before she freed her arms from their workload by falling to the carpeted floor. Amazing used her leg and hip strength to turn her tiny body and roll along the floor and over to her bed. She kicked down a little board that was on her bed onto the floor next to her. The white board had a bunch of chicken-scratch on it written in purple and blue marker. Stretches were done earlier, she'd just finished push-ups and next up on the list were sit-ups. Unlike the previous set, she had written down two different types of of the exercise for herself to do: regular and hanging. "Are they even sit-ups if I'm hanging?!" she asked with exclamation, preemptively annoyed just at the exercise existing. Still using her leg strength, the female got upright and walked over to her desk where she would take a sip of her orange-colored energy drink. A smirk corrupted her previously annoyed face as she twisted the cap back on and wiped her lips and the rest of her face free of moisture. As she began her routine, settling herself on the ground next to her bed with her feet pinned beneath some makeshift counterweight, she began to think more about her friend and former subordinate's reassignment, though this time not about Yori herself. It was her replacement that was on Amazing's mind. "A new... subordinate," she said, words separated by her up and down motion. Stopping when her back touched the ground again, she looked up at the ceiling and wondered what the new girl would be like. Amazing was told that this newbie was actually already a member of the W.O.R.M.S. division, unlike Jaqk and Yori when they entered and taught the ropes by an amazing squad leader. Continuing with her reps, she decided to not think anymore, as she did not want to began over-thinking things. Amazing abstained from listening to more info about the new member joining her and Jaqk. While she did receive the female's file and had it up in the command center, she chose to not read it since receiving it, as hearing things directly from the person themselves was probably the best option ninety-four times out of a hundred. The one thing that stood out above all was that the new member was somehow acquainted with the Post master General, which made the tiny girl extremely envious. There wasn't a whole lot going on for the fisherman after they had left Machine Island. Once they had departed, there happened to be a stop as they would be making their exit by one a Marine Commander - while it was generally normal for Jaqk to want to take in every bit of detail, information and anything else of use he didn't pay much attention at the time. This was only one, maybe two days ago that they had been approached and from the little bit he could muster amiss the cluster of a 'database' that was the fisherman's mind was a group or organization called 'C.O.O.P' - for whatever the reason might have been, Jaqk didn't care. The information that was relevant to him was that, after many years of working for the World Government and the Marines, he had finally be given the promotion to be a commissioned officer. Of course being who he was, he didn't show any form of enthusiasm and instead only fronted his gratitude and general Marine presence that was Jaqk. Another bit of information that seemed to shadow the rest was that Leriwyn, while having been promoted as well, was being reassigned from the W.O.R.M.S Division and that she would be parting ways with both Jaqk and Grace. Usually, something like this wouldn't have had much of an impact on him - and of course he didn't show it or reveal it, it stung. It was something he hadn't felt in along time- since he was a child- since losing Wilson. It was true, that Jaqk didn't seem to care to make friends, to get to 'know' people on a level of any kind of relationship aside from work and though their time together was short - and it's possible that Leriwyn, too, could have admitted it: They were friends- that's not to say that Grace doesn't have a similar status, but the two of them had a few moments. The night in the cave - Leriwyn always asking Jaqk for his opinion, his thoughts on certain subjects. It's not as though she was dead, but nevertheless. She was gone. While they were sailing toward their next destination, given a new Log Pose to make their next set delivery - Jaqk had taken time to himself, which wasn't uncommon of course. It was only him and Grace on the ship - Tangle too - for a short period of time. While his superior, now Commander Grace was hard at work at training her physical body, and mind - Jaqk took the time to use the garden that the Commander had given him permission to use to plant his Pop Greens, so that he wouldn't be running out anytime soon. Tangle, being an animated plant, was still a 'dog' and just wandered around the ship, likely playing with Grace when she wasn't too busy training - possibly even helping her train by running a few laps around the ship. And when he wasn't fishing, he was in his room reading over several books and journals that he had received from the Old Man from Machine Island - which had specs and instructions and notes on what he had done to Ringo, as well as plenty of other designs and such, as well as spare material - as the island was filled with nothing but - to try and build some of his own things. While Jaqk picked up on things quick, and read quite fast - he wanted to be sure and confident enough before even attempting at building something. He studied, and studied quite often. Unlike the Commander, and at the moment, Jaqk was in the command center and there he was reading up on the person that would be joining their ranks. Her name was 'Venka Sparks' and held the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Her dossier noted she was a practitioner of 'Fishman Karate' from a young age - a survivor of something dubbed the 'Mail Squad Massacre' where she had lost her former superior, a one Captain Sophia and was personally acquainted with the Post Master General. As well as a tidbit on her personal life, which noted she was currently in a relationship with a Fishman. There were other bits of information, and Jaqk scanned the dossier over at least twice and just stored it away in memory banks. Continuing to sit in the chair, Tangle made his way through the door and brought the newspaper that a News Coo had likely dropped it on the ship. With a pat on the head to the vined canine, he removed the rubber band from the paper and glanced over the front-page; as he did, Tangle - who has actually gotten quite larger since Machine Island, for whatever reason, it's entirely possible that the soil from Grace's garden is the cause of that - moved closer to the wall, stepping in a circle for a moment before he would flop down and lay on his stomach, his head resting on his front paws. |

"H-Okay!" Amazing did her last sit-up and sprang to her feet like a young fowl with a jovial spring in her step. Twisting her body at the waist, to the left for ten seconds and then to the right for the same amount of time and repeating the processes back and forth a few times. Coming to a full stop, she turned around and and stretched her arms up high and stood on her tippy toes. She immediately began lowering the upper half of her body to the ground until she could touch her hands to the ground. A mark of her training working was her starting all of the exercises with her only being able to touch her fingers to the ground but now her palms were able to be placed flat on the ground with a bit of effort exerted. With her warming stretches finished, the tiny Commander looked around. There was nothing in her room for her to hang from. She had a partner that she liked to do the hanging sit-ups with, but with her door closed, there was no way for him(it) to have been in her room anyways. Going forward toward the door to find her partner in exercise, she opened it and stopped immediately before her foot hit the floor outside the door. "Oops!" The tiny female reversed her step and took in a deep breath. "Almost forgot!" she said as she wiped sweat from her forehead. Amazing the Great bent forward again but this time, exerted all of her weight onto her hands as she threw her legs up into the air. Taking a second, she managed to bring herself to complete balance and began going forward by using her hands to walk. This was an exercise that Yori had come up with for them to do. If they were to ever go outside their room, they would be required to do a hand walk to get to their destination, even if they had to... SCALE THE STAIRS! At first, the exercise was rather daunting for both of the girls, even despite the routine athleticism that the former Assassin Yori possessed. Amazing eventually got through the beginning stages and managed to be able to walk quite some time on her hands, though that time was lessened a bt when she had to scale steps and other objects. As she handwalked toward the stairs to get out to the deck, she began to think about the creator of the exercise that she was currently mentally locked into. "I wonder if Yori is currently handwalking around her new place? Maybe she's trying to fit in first to not seem like too much of a weirdo who does handstands." She took the staircase one step at a time, taking moments between every two stairs to be sure to re-balance herself. One thing that she noticed from walking around on her hands with her face low to the ground so much was how dirty the floors had been. There was a chore schedule with who did what every now and then. The weeks between the floor cleanings were rather... spotty, to make it pun-worthy. She made reminders to clean the floors more often once she got through with her training and got the basics of what she was training for down. But with her preoccupation with the art of 'Returning Life to oneself' she had not much time for cleaning on her plate. "Hehe, maybe I can stick the newbie w-ah-wh-whoa!" Devious thoughts broke her concentration momentarily and almost had her toppling down the stairs. Out on the deck, Amazing was able to track down the trail of her wanted. "That's him alright," she noted as she began to follow a trail of tiny, broken vines and minuscule greenery. The trail of green tears would eventually lead the tiny Marine Commander to the command center, which was wide open for her to get through without much of a hassle in using her legs. Upon entering she was greeted by not only Tangle, but Lieutenant Usuaroku Jaqk's presence. She smiled while trying to angle her head and look upward at her subordinate. The tiny female lifted one hand from the ground and held it up to her face. While she was not able to get it up to her forehead, she managed to get it up to the left cheek to salute the gentleman. "Lieutenant," she greeted before a hearty laugh. The tiny tower tilted over, but managed to land on her feet instead of falling directly onto her face. She adjusted her white t-shirt and dusted off the floor dust that had collected on her black shorts from the sit-ups that she performed earlier. She ran her hand through her full, purple hair, from front to back to get rid of the sweat. Once the tiny hand of hers had passed through, her bangs went back to their signature heart-shape without any fixing from the small marine. "What are you doing in here? Reading up on files or something?" She was not looking at the files that the male had out, but the male himself, so she couldn't see exactly what he was perusing. Tangle made his way over to her and began nudging his face against her own. "Oh yeah, I need you for my hanging sit-ups, Tangle." |

There was a little bit of sound coming from the doorway as he glanced over from his paper and watched the Commander hand-walk her way into the room and with a greeting and salute from her, Jaqk would nod to her as she flopped over and landed on her feet. "Commander." -- there wasn't much to be expected from Jaqk, at this point the small Commander knew that. And while his attention did return to the newspaper that Tangle had brought him, she further inquired what he was reading. The fisherman's eyes didn't look away from the paper and instead, "According to this, the Fleet Admiral has declared war against one of the Four Emperors: Bright-Eyes." -- it didn't seem to phase him at all as he went back to scanning over the paper quietly, though he felt it necessary to at least inform the Commander. "I also read through Miss Sparks' dossier." -- his mask still staring at the newspaper, and Tangle had made his way to the Commander and nuzzled his face against her - since growing to be much bigger, he towers over the tea-cupped superior. Tangle would kneel down so that the Commander could get up and on his back, and then stand up and stand steady, so that Grace could do her workout. "I would prefer to know the person that will be working with us, before actually meeting them. At least, to the extent a dossier can and will go. Learning from the person in question, themselves, isn't always the best option." -- he gave a light shrug of the shoulders - speaking more and putting more into his actual character, Jaqk seemed to have a different air about him, but he was still Jaqk? "Question, Commander." -- "Are we only picking up Miss Sparks from Las Arcadas or are we delivering something?" |

Amazing stopped petting Tangle in the moment that Jaqk gave her that bit of news. She stared up into the eyes of the vinewolf silently for a bit, though the creature still gestured and made motions all over her face. Turning slowly toward her subordinate, she slowly raised her right eyebrow with her enlarged—more enlarged than normal—yellow eyes gazing upon the man like a doe in lamplight. "F-Fleet Admiral? De-De-De-De-Declared war?" it was most likely just lingering workout sweat, but nevertheless the perspiration trickled down her forehead in droves. "F-Four Emporer?" She lipped everything se said, wanting it to come out but finding her voice silent. While the pocket-sized courier was not one for politics, she knew those words held considerable weight. It was a good thing that the man changed the subject, as she had no idea of how to respond to that. Amazing was and will forever be a coffee-shop Marine in regards to politics through and through; just regurgitating whatever she hears from her superiors with little to no opinions on the matter herself aside from "treat people nice". Their new member, Venka, was something that Amazing could talk about without feeling pressure. Notice the word talk is emphasized here as the little marine that can is no gossip! With things slightly less tense than before with the mentioning of what was going on in who even knew where the the heck, Amazing turned back to pet the large wolf made of vines on the snout. Seeing the big red nose of the creature, she frowned a little and gave the big glaring spot a kiss. "I'm still so sorry I smacked you on the nose!" she apologized with great exclamation. "I get that. You're more of a- informational person, you gotta know the reports and junk, right?" Despite the choice of words to emerge from the small woman's mouth, the meaning behind them should have been clear through context. "Just make sure not to read too much into that info! Don't judge a book by the words inside. Sometimes you have to get intimate with the book and get to know it. Ask the author about the details and think about them yourself. At least that's what Papa Grace always said." Amazing folded her arms and then raised her right forearm to use her hand to cradle her chin. The things that she had just said perplexed even herself despite coming from the mouth that she owned. Snapping back to reality when being asked a question, Amazing perked up and turned back to her subordinate. "Both! Er- well, I don't know when exactly we'll be picking up Lieutenant Commander Sparks. But I do have something that needs to be delivered. it's in that box right there." Commander Grace pointed to an object over in the left corner. It was a small rectangular brown box that was taped up with a white label on the side. She'd gotten it along with some other things to deliver from the man that told the group about C.O.O.P. and handed out their promotions. He said that it was actually a priority package and needed to be delivered within the two weeks, unlike the thirty-year-old letter that was last delivered by the group. "I hear that it's important and it has a FRAGILE stamp in red and white ink." Amazing nodded as she talked as if she was agreeing with herself about something that only she knew. "Let's meet Venka first and then worry about the delivery later. Why do you ask? Got some unfinished business with an old girlfriend on the island?" A monstrous yet goofy grin appeared on the tiny girl's face as she grabbed Tangle's face and pulled it in close. "You'd tell me if your owner had a bae, right?" she asked the plant-animal while laughing and making smooching kisses at it's snout. |

Tangle was soaking up all the love and kisses that the Commander was giving him; nuzzling his face into her kisses and the like. Though, with that said, and Tangle being a somewhat intelligent and coherent creature, he listened to everything that was being said and didn't know how he felt about a new person being on board. The last one was rude, cruel and shot him in the big red nose - what if this one is here to finish the job?!?!?!?!? -- When Grace spoke to him, he nodded his head before returning to the soaking of the loving of Grace. "To each their own." -- he said, folding the newspaper and standing up from his seat and walking over to the package that the Commander had pointed toward, picked it up and brought it back over to the table and examined it - placed it down - sat back down in his seat - and began examining it again. There weren't any words on it other than the word FRAGILE - which likely meant that the Commander has the information needed to make the delivery. Turning his attention to the Commander, "Isn't it rumoured that Las Arcadas is owned by one of the Warlords?" -- he questioned, rather rhetorically because, well, Jaqk knows everything and anything. "We should be there soon, anyway. Which port are we docking at?" -- he asked as he stood up, and once answered walk toward the helm and get ready to dock when ready, because there is only so much that can be talked about before they actually arrive and if it's dragged out someone's drive to make those |

When Jaqk stood up to take get the box, Amazing remembered that she had training to do. Stopping her Kissu Kissu no Gattling attack on Tangle, she pulled back and nodded at him. "Sit-ups!" she gleefully exclaimed as she spun along Tangle's side until she was at his abdomen. Thrusting her hands into the Vinewolf, she pulled out two thick vines with both her hands and walked back a step or two. Using her strength, she pulled herself up on the strong vines. As with the other time that she did it, Amazing could feel the plantnimal shaking. Looking at Tangle's face, she could tell that it was obviously more of a tickling tremor than one due to pain. She managed to tangle her feet successfully with the vines enough to hold her up. Amazing liked to pace herself, no wanting to have a lightning fast start and losing all of her steam near the end. While approaching the fight of her set, she heard her subordinate speak up about their destination. "I'm not sure. The briefing speculated on it being a rumor too, I think." The tiny marine quickly went back to getting the next rep done and immediately stopped again when posing another question. "East, I'm sure." she said before completing another rep. Once Jaqk started moving to leave, she broke her stride and then looked toward Tangle. "Let's go out onto the deck too." The caramel female continued doing her hanging sit-ups as the creature moved to leave. Out on the sunny deck, Amazing finally reached to thirty as she continued her stride. She did notice something that she had not before the first time she was out. With her head so low to the ground and focused on finding the vegetative wolf to assist her, she did not see that the island was actually in view. Looking out at the place as they approached, she could see how well-constructed the place was. It was quite the beautiful sight. Not having seen an amusement park before, the sight of the large rides astounded her. Her pace slowed down a bit for her to stare in awe, but she made sure to keep up the reps. As she approached forty, she began speeding up so that she could possibly get in another set of exercised before disembarking. |

With everything set and ready for the group to dock and disembark, Jaqk decided that while the Commander continued to do her workout he would take care of docking. Approaching the docks, it was quite filled - but they lucked out that there was an area for Marines to dock and there was only one other ship in this area, appearing to be a rather standard Marine ship in comparison to the sailing post office that was the RMS. Bringing the ship up to an empty dock, Jaqk had already taken care of raising the sails and the like and the ship would be coming to a stop. There were several dock works that made their way to the RMS and Jaqk had tossed the ropes down to them to tether the ship to the docks, so that they wouldn't need to drop anchor. It's entirely possible that someone may have forgotten the exact layout for the the RMS.. But Jaqk dropped the set of stairs so that it was easy to disembark and return to the ship, down to the docks so that one of the dock workers could come up with some paper's to sign - being Marines, they didn't have to pay the docking fee. Taking the pen as the man held out the clipboard, the fisherman signed his name and a quick sentence for their reasoning for being here - he printed the commanding officer board the ship. Being his usual quiet self, the dock worker appeared to be a bit uncomfortable - and was curious as to why a small, petite woman was using what appeared to be a large canine made of vegetation as some sort of work-out machine.. But shaking his head as Jaqk returned the pen to him, he smiled and did the 'thank you' thing and disembarked the RMS. Walking closer to the side of the ship, the Lieutenant scanned the port area - there were a lot of families, children and parents alike who were all heading to the amusement park - the sounds of which could be heard all the way here. It was loud and it was obviously something Jaqk wasn't going to be too fond of when they have to head toward it. "Is the package being delivered here or.. are we taking a detoured?" -- the fisherman inquired as he looked at the rides and other bright-lit things that, even during the day could be seen. He asked the question, mainly because - while he respects his superior officer, having proven herself several times that she is capable of being the leading officer of this division.. she can still be quite child-like at times and, Jaqk feels as though there is a ninety-five percent chance that she wants to take a small little 'break' to see what entertainment this part of Las Arcadas had to offer. While it's true that Jaqk was nine times out of ten all gun-ho for getting their assignments done in the right and proper fashion, a small break wouldn't be all that bad.. that's something he wouldn't admit to the Commander, however, because if he were to take a somewhat "extended" break from their current assignment.. let's be honest, an amusement park was really for someone like the fisherman. |

Up. Down. Up. Down. Up again and down again. Amazing's hands were tucked behind her head as she repeated the motions, curling herself up into an almost U-shape before going back to the short line segment that was her natural upside down hanging state. She tried to keep her focus on the task at hand, her exercises, instead of looking at the marvelous sights and listening to the fantastic sounds. "We can do this, Tangle! Life me up and down please!" It didn't really make the workouts more intense, but being lifted up and down or being moved side to side made her concentration a bit better or at least she thought so. Seeing Jaqk hard at work with docking the ship made her want to work a little bit harder as well. "Aaand-" the last few reps were in sight and Amazing's tummy was getting sore as all heck with each additional curling motion that brought her closer to the finish line. "weeeee're almoooooost-" two before the finish, Amazing came back down from the last rep with a limp body. She had began steeling herself for the next one. As she focused all of her energy into her gut, she pictured Yori standing above her and giving her some sort of line that she had read from a book or poem or something. While the Marine Commander appreciated those lines, she could not think of one and without the woman there saying them herself the effects dulled. Despite the adulterated effects of her imagined visions of her friend, it was enough to pull the amazing female up for the last two reps. "there!" With the last one done, Amazing threw her hands up... or down rather, in victory. Tangle gave a little howl to congratulate her on her accomplishments. The female grabbed onto her shorts to pull herself up and then managed to untangle her feet, but stayed holding onto the vines. Smiling at the mascot of the Letter W.O.R.M.S. squad, she gleefully made an announcement. "Pull-ups!" While Jaqk attended to the guy who seemed to be in charge of the Docks, Amazing began on her next workout. Pulling herself up and down repeatedly, she had no set goal as this was just a spontaneous thing that she thought of doing while untangling her feet from the creature. It seemed that her arms had recovered quite a bit from earlier when she had been doing push ups. She started at a moderate pace once again to ramp up near the end. "We can do that tomorrow or later. I wanted to meet Venka first. I figured we could all have some fun or get to know one another before having to do the delivery." Amazing talked while doing her exercise, with pull ups being much easier for her to talk during than hanging sit ups. "If you need to use the restroom or something you should get in there now. I want to take a shower after I finish this." Amazing continued on with doing this new workout, even after Tangle at down and began scratching himself. His growth spurt had given him enough height to keep her elevated a few feet even while he sat. |

~ Very Early in the morning... ~ It was but the crack of dawn, sunlight barely making it's way in on the south district of Las Arcadas but one person was already giving it her all today. With the morning sun still breaking through, this star was already shining brightly, hard at work delivering letters. Running along the streets, it was still too early for most people to be up so she had free reign on her path. Wearing a light blue bikini top and a pair of black rolled up jeans to just below her knees. Dashing along with her white cloak of justice moving in the wind it seemed like the pair of white sandals she was wearing would fly off at any second. A bag slung around her right shoulder and hanging on her back, and most importantly, that huge ridiculous big white hat on her head, Venka was on a morning letter run. Usually a thing the lower ranks do, it was a great source of training in her eyes. It was a test of reflexes, stamina and a bit of a mental exercise too. Jumping over a fence, the woman took a short cut through the neighbourhood. Taking out a letter from her bag, she was about as ready as anyone to deliver it. Holding it between her index and middle finger, she arrived at a house with a red front door and the number 144 on it. This was the place but Venka didn't stop. The letter was launched from her hand like some ninja throwing skill and landed perfectly in the mail slot. "Awesome!" the courier pumped her fist in happiness as she ran on. One more letter and she was done! The last one was at the docks which also happened to be her end goal anyway. With a dash, she disappeared like a flash, ready to finish up her letter stash! At the docks, she needed to deliver to a light brown boat called the "Rusty Swordfish". As soon as she got to to stretch of wooden terrain that bonded the vessels securely, she jumped up. Time moving in slow motion, it was almost surreal how fast she spotted the boat. Preparing her A young man in a marine tracksuit yawned as he clocked in a stopwatch. "... Not bad, you beat the local record by 36 seconds." the male spoke. His outfit was a bit more unconventional as it didn't have the marine logo on the back but rather the Letter W.O.R.M.S. one. He also had a loose cap with the logo embroidered on the side in a shiny blue thread. Adjusting it and yawning again, the green haired young man didn't share the enthusiasm of our female courier. "... Shame you got a 40 second penalty though..." he spoke as he sat on a pillar. Putting the stopwatch back in his own letter bag, he yawned once more. "Wha-What?!? What do you mean a 40 second penalty?!?" Venka shouted in utter shock. The young man sighed as he jumped off the support pillar of the walkway. Pulling up a little notepad he licked his index finger before flipping through it. "You knocked over 2 trashcans, broke that early merchant's stall, that fence you hopped over collapsed and just now you cracked 2 boards here in your landing. Five, ten, twenty, thirty, thirty-five and a grand total of forty. Did my math right here..." he spoked and put the notepad away. Venka however was about ready to bawl her eyes out as she collapsed to her knees. "Jeez, you always do this. You got a lot of heart Ven but you gotta curb it a little sometimes. Unless you're chasing a pirate, you're really not allowed to break anything. be glad that water tower held up after you used it as a stepping stone at the start. Heck, even if there was a pirate, it wouldn't be okay to break everything along the way..." the male spoke as he gave her a pat on the shoulder. The woman sighed and got up again as she wiped her teary eyes. "I know Gene but... I'm also training okay! I want to get stronger so it's kind of hard to curb myself while also giving it my all..." she replied with a light sniffle. getting herself together she sighed. Well at least she broke out a light sweat right? Nope not really... Sighing again she was pretty defeated. "Not in it for glory? Huh, you always strive to beat people and their records so I figured you'd be more defeated by this... Well don't sweat it! You did great on your first try after all. I have to get ready to sail off though. Don't you have things to do as well? A new creeeeeeeew~?" the youg man teased her to which Venka pouted her cheeks. "Well yeah but they only arrive later today poyo..." she sighed again afterwards, shoulders down. Gene chuckled a little to himself before he reached out in his bag to hand the caramel courier a letter. "Here's a letter for them. It's specifically to Amazing Grace but considering the sender I figure it's got a word or two for the whole crew. Mind delivering it to them for me? I was going to have it done locally once they arrive but if you can handle it..." he teased her with the letter as Venka shot up like a tiger seeing it's prey move in the corner of it's eye. "Of-f-f course I can handle it!! Who do you think I am poyo?!?" she spoke as she grabbed the letter. The handwriting for the name and destination was very fancy. And it was written with a deep purple ink. However wrote this letter sure did pour their heart into making it look pretty. Putting it away in her bag safely, she saluted the young man known as Gene. "Letter accepted!" she proclaimed with a wide smile. Gene laughed and nodded. "Alright then. I have to be on my way now. Express deliveries and all that. Good luck Ven." the male waved goodbye as he headed for his own ship. Those veteran W.O.R.M.S. members were so cool. They got to go on their own deliveries all solo and they always completed their jobs without fail. Strong, cool and efficient, no wonder that having that embroidered cap meant you were part of the elite. "Good luck to you too Gene! I'm gonna put in my all again today!" Venka proclaimed with a wide happy smile. ~ Right now... ~ Entertainment East was always a source of a good time for many people. Though it's options were family friendly, the roller coasters and prize halls were always sought out by thousands of people every day. Our tan mail courier however had sought out something of an active challenge since morning. The game hall had a lot of physical games such as whacking a pop-up mole with a rubber hammer and shooting hoops for prize tickets. Venka however settled on a particular Rythm game. Dance Dance Rebellion it was called and you had to move your feet to four corresponding arrows to the beat of the music. The arrows appeared on transponder screen and when they passed a certain mark, you had to hit the target arrow. Your accuracy and chain determined points. Venka had been at this game since morning but the challenge had grown stale. Even on Expert level with they Hyperspeed modifier, our martial artist was blazing through the high scores. The real challenge now lied in the two player versus variant. Except she was playing it on her own. Eight arrows to hit and keep a chain going, At first Venka struggled greatly since the amount of concentration required for it was hard. But as she got better towards the passing hours, she was about to set a new high score once again. The title song she had been practising was just about the start and our courier was positioned in the middle of the dance pads, she was ready. Having removed her sandals, hat and cloak, as well as leaving her bag next to the machine, Venka was optimised to move fast. As soon as it startd she began jumping around from one side to the other. She figured out the machine had a tiny bit of latency delay for the perfect score so she needed to hit the arrows just in the right order to perfect the song. "Boom, boom, boom, boom..." she sang to herself as she actually did dance on the machine. Her hips moving in motion, her hands making a clap every now and then... Venka was having fun! As soon as the beat kicked up though she was gripping the support bar of the machine to not fall off in her fast movement. She needed to, her legs almost literally needed to be in two places at once. During the fastest section of the song, she looked more like an octopus than a human, her legs just a swirly blur for some. With the song coming to an end, Venka was also at her limits. Sweat dripping from her... All over her body really, she let go of the bar and raised her right arm to the sky in a pointed fashion. As the two screens reflected a bright rainbow of "Perfect!" the woman was catching her breath, sweat dripping down her brow. An applause erupted from behind her as she also seemed to have garnered a little bit of a fan following. Turning around she took a bow with a wide smile. "Jeez... You all made me so hot and bothered I thought I was going to have finish early~!" she spoke with a wink, referring to her nervousness of performing in front of a crowd. However that didn't stop from certain people in the crowd breaking out in a flushed face of misinterpretation. The ska-ing of a bird was over-stemming the crowd though. Shooting up from above the screen and hovering at Venka's head, it seemed really annoyed. "Huh? Jayjay, why are you ruffling your feathers for?" Venka casually asked the bird as she looked around for something akin to a towel. The bird was almost clawing at her, creating a distance between her and the crowd. Wilding cawing at her as well, Venka's eyes shot wide open as she realised what he was trying to say. "Oh poyo, I'm late!!!" the woman spoke as she jumped off the machine. The bird shook it's head as it circled around to grab her hat. While cenka slipped in her sandals and grabbed the bag, Jayjay dropped the hat on her head and the two set off. Formally, the sea hawk's name was Jaeger but Venka had an affectionate nickname for him. Really the ebst companion she could ask for. If it weren't for him, she'd be lost on multiple occasions... "Sorry folks! Gotta run!" the mail courier spoke as she jumped over the crowd, her prize ticket roll still sticking out of her letter bag. She planned to exchange those later for something like a giant plushie. Running across the Entertainment East district, Jaeger was increasingly stoic as Venka kept dodging people. He didn't have to deal with the crowd, flying over them but he got annoyed by her taking so long to make her way through. Can you blame him for the wait, he's just a bird after all? "Ugh, I hope I'm not tooooo late... Sorry to keep you waiting guys!" the courier thought to herself as she was twisting her body in all sorts of positions to fit between the gaps of the crowd. The docks was her aim, delivering that fancy letter her game! |

Our fisherman didn't have to use the restroom, and it's not likely he ever had to - what with him being a robot and all. Considering they were docked, and awaiting the arrival of their replacement companion, Jaqk would nod to Tangle and the Commander, "I'll go and gather some things from my quarters." -- the plant canine would give a glance to the fisherman as it sat there and allowed for Grace to continue and finish-up her workout. Arriving at his room, Jaqk would enter and shut the door behind him. Walking over to his desk, he would pull out his chair - taking Ringo from it's holster at his hip and placing it on the desk before he would sit down. Looking over the fishing rod, he went over the mental-notepad of everything that the old man had upgraded. As he was doing so, his hand slid over to a drawer and he opened it and pulled out several empty capsules that weren't the standard yellow, and instead were red, blue and green. Opening them and placing them down neatly in front of himself, he'd slid back his chair and roll over toward his tackle box and pulled out the drawer with the assorted Pop Greens. Despite this place being a seemingly more friendly and secure island, he didn't want to go unarmed - he was on duty as well, probably, so it wouldn't be too out of place. Placing the tackle-drawer on the desk, too, he'd go over the wide array of Pop Greens that varied in many different colours and uniqueness to them. There were many he had yet to try proper, but the ones he knew, he would take and place inside the capsules. This was so that they could be shot from Ringo to give more distance between himself and whatever the Pop Greens may sprout, and so that he could add a bit more tactic to his usage of them. |

Amazing continued pulling herself up and falling back down in repetition. Her form was splendid and she could feel the muscles in her arms being pushed and exerted. The exercises hurt, but it was more of a hurt that pays off later and not just some reckless sort of self-flagellation with no reward. As the tiny marine did her exercises, she got her buddy, Tangle the Vinewolf, to take her down to her room as she continued performing. The diagonal orientation that the creature took when walking down the steps was quite challenging to power through. Once she had finally adjusted to the slope, the wolf had cleared the case of stairs and was heading for the miniature Commander's room. She was not close to completion of her set of pull-ups, so she couldn't get down from her temporary steed workout machine. Looking around at everything in the room, she remembered that she had set her clothing for the day out and everywhere her clothing lied was within reach of her feet while she was still in contact with Tangle. She smiled with some self-assurance as she commanded the dog to various parts of the room. "To the bed!" was the first order, and she marked the area with a pointing of a bent foot and pointed big toe. The dog obliged and then continues to oblige each additional request. Amazing maneuvered herself expertly, gripping the article of clothing that she needed with one her toes and foot and then getting it up on the creature's back. "We're done!" she declared with glee, much to the enjoyment of the creature. The last of the exercise was finished when they reached the front of the bathroom door. Letting go of the sturdy vines that so fabulously held her up, Amazing hit the ground with both feet touching solidly. A fantastic and strong landing, if she could say so herself, she took a bow to her friendly steed before reaching up and pulling her clothing away. "I'm pretty sure that you're a boy dog, so you can't come in the bathroom with me. Sorry!" The large Vinewolf let out an audible whimper and lowered its head in what the caramel female assumed was disappointment. To it's surprise, it would receive another kiss from the woman before she quickly hurried off into the bathroom with all of her items. In the bathroom, Amazing set the water to her preferred temperature. Preferring not to let things be just idle, Amazing took advantage of the shower and did some stretches while she scrubbed down her body. Runner's stretches, butterfly stretches, frog, pigeon and others named after various animals were performed under the very warm water. Though the shower sprinkling her with warm water helped her body to losen up and her muscles to stretch further, the acts of stretching herself as far as she could go still gave her a pleasant hurt. The muscles being stretched to the brink of micro tears were just hat needed to happen for them to come back stronger, more resilient and most of all more beautiful. She saved the hands-free stretches for last so that she could scrub herself down with her loofa under the warm water. About twenty minutes after entering, Amazing emerged from the bathroom looking very fresh and super clean. She was now wearing a light pink, salmon could be used to describe it, button up shirt with the Letter W.O.R.M.S. logo on the left side of her chest. She wore light tan shorts that stopped an inch or two above her knees and wrapped her thighs tightly and white canvas sneakers on her feat that had laces in the same color as her shirt. Walking forward, Amazing bunched up her hair to the the top of her head with both her hands before holding it still with her left. Using her right, she grabbed her hat that was tucked between her legs and quickly, like one of those magic acts where the magician strips the table of the table cloth while keeping the contents in place, threw the hat onto and over her hair and head while removing her left hand from being trapped in the attack. Like always, it worked marvelously and concealed all but a few loose tendrils and her bangs beneath her hat. Amazing's head snapped around, thinking she heard something. It wasn't from inside but outside. She wasn't sure if it was on the deck or what, but it seemed as though maybe there was some sort of commotion going on outside? Amazing quickly moved to deposit her dirty clothes in her room before going to see what the hub bub may have been. |

With the agility of a cat, Venka made her way through the busier parts of the island's district and finally had a bit more free reign on her path. Having bumped into a couple people on her way out there, it was a bit of an awkward experience. Where she was certain she would fit between the gap, she didn't fully account for... Uhm... You know what, it doesn't matter o-okay... Important thing of note here was that our courier had finally gotten out of the crowd and with a nicely paced jog was keeping up with her bird companion. Jayjay leading the way, the themepark was already behind her while the caramel skinned woman blazed her trail. Sliding in on a right turn, she got to the docks. And boy was this place packed. Tourism was the main industry on this island but still, there were a ton of merchant and cruise ships around. Even some private yachts! Venka gazed at them with big eyes as she walked on the boards above the water. Her new crew would likely be docked in at the marine reserved area right? Heading over there, she instantly recognised which boat was the right one. The R.M.S. Postal wasn't just any marine vessel after all. Taking a deep breath... In and slowly out, Venka was a little nervous. What if they didn't like her?!? What if they had a ton of members didn't care and just shoved her aside?!?!? What if they made fun of her eye?!?! Oh crud, the nerves got her now. Holding the letter with trembling hands, she was anxious to set foot on the ship. Jaeger landed on the ship's railing and did whatever a bird equivalent of a sigh would look like. With a few sharp cries, audibly resembling something like a "Ska!" sound, Venka snapped back to it. "R-right... You're right Jayjay... I'll make it through somehow! Here we go!!!" she shouted as she took a step forward and... Didn't notice the coil of ropes in front of her, tripping over it. The letter slipped out of her hands and was caught up in the light breeze, swept to the ocean, just a little above the water surface. Venka without a second thought, jumped into the water behind it... But it was a pretty futile effort. Jayjay came through for her and had rescued the paper already. As Venka resurfaced in the water and drew a dumb smile the bird was flapping it wings, holding the letter in it's beak. As per usual, his look was extremely stoic. Crawling out of the water, Venka walked onto the ship with lowered shoulders. "Of course I'd do something stupid... Good going Ven..." she mumbled to herself while salty water dripped from her hair and body. Jaeger did not hand her the letter because of this and just firmly held it to him while perched on the railing. Reaching in her letter bag, which she had dropped on the docks before jumping in, she grabbed a small towel to wipe herself off a bit. No way she'd be able to dry her hair with this thing though. Jaeger gave her the usual stern lecturing stare. Though he could not speak, Venka fully understood what he was trying to convey. "Okay!!! You made your point already! Don't look at me like that okay..." she responded back to him, baring her fangs a the bird before pouting as she wrung the towel out over the edge of the ship. No doubt her arrival would not go unnoticed by the residents of the ship. some dockworkers and sailors even gave her a good look. Some maybe for the wrong reasons as she bent herself forward over the railing... "Poyo... I swear this never happened with other crews..." she mumbled to herself. |

An unknown amount of time has passed, but it was likely somewhere around the twenty minute mark and Jaqk had finished doing what he was doing with the empty capsules and the Pop Greens, and everything he figured he would need on his person were stored away in his coat. Up and on his feet, Ringo in it's place in the holster at his hip, Jaqk, too had heard something going on outside and had decided he would investigate. Mainly because he didn't have much else to do, and it was likely his job as he knew that the Commander was going to take a shower after she finished her training with Tangle and the fisherman assumed that she would be in the shower for a fair amount of time, given her gender and the general stereotype. But while the fisherman was getting ready to make his way to the main deck, Tangle, who had been on his adventure with the Commander and helped her, had left his post outside the bathroom door to wander around the ship and patrol because he's the closest thing to a guard dog they have - and by closest I mean the only one they have. When his green ears had heard the slightest disturbance in the force, they had perked and the red-nosed dog had darted his way out and onto the main deck, where he would find both Venka and the bird - after she had got out of the water - and the growth-spurted large canine would bear down toward the ground and stare at the both of them and make a somewhat audible noise. Like it's been mentioned, he's rather intelligent given what he is and because of that he knew that a new person would be arriving on ship. But being the best dog in the world, this was still technically his ship and he paced back and forth for a moment with his eyes remaining on the new people, more-so mainly focused on the bird. "Down." -- the voice of the fisherman spoke out as he came from.. wherever he came from, but he was walking up behind the vined canine and when it heard Jaqk's voice it turned and looked to the mask man, and with a hand patted atop of it, Tangle settled down and sat like a dog on his bum. "Greetings." -- he simple said. |

With her "unclean" clothes deposited into their designated bin, Amazing left her room after grabbing a few things that she forgot that she would need. There wasn't anything too drastic, just a bit of lotion to grease herself up and some and a tiny bag that seemed like it was full of marbles or something. Exiting the room, she quickly turned and ran toward the stairs. She could just barely hear Jaqk tell Tangle to sit down, or at least she assumed that it was Tangle, and then give a greeting to someone. The tiny marine froze in place mid-step. Her mind automatically switched to the image of the new member of their crew. Goosebumps aligned the surface of Amazing's skin and a giddiness bubbled inside of her before she burst up the stairs. Practically jumping from the staircase, Amazing landed next to her subordinate; like, she perfectly landed right next to him. Her eyes were drawn to the most impressive of the things on the deck of the ship that wasn't Tangle the Vinewolf. Birds usually left as soon as they saw the big dog, but not this one. Actually, the bird looked to be rather unphazed by anyone that seemed to be on the deck and not only was that odd, it also had a unique color. The courier began rumaging through her mental bank to see if she had ever witnessed such an interesting bird. Nope. At least not in the way this bird that currently docked itself on the railing of the docked ship was interesting. The one bird that she could call interesting was the one that escaped her and her comrades on Machine Island. The gaze of the Head of Ship turned away from the bird and turned to the woman that stood nearest it. "Sexy!" she exclaimed to herself. There may have been a tiny bit of drool trickling down her lip, but that was just her visual senses going haywire after being overloaded with something so desirable-seeming. Like the horniest pick-up artist at the bar, Amazing's eyes scanned the woman with great precision. Gulping after her quadruple-take, the tiny woman smiled her biggest one. "Hi!" The caramel skin of the woman that, oddly, was not herself made the tinier of the candy treats feel a tiny bit of... nostalgia? If it was nostalgia, it must have been biological, as neither of her parents looked like her in any way aside from their courier bags. Omitted Paragraph "Gold..." yes, like the Mackerelore song. Amazing had only been looking at the top of the unfamiliar woman. Once her eyes began drifting toward the mid-section and below, the Marine Commander stopped at the belt and remembered something that she needed to remind herself of. It was the Golden Rule... or maybe Golden Principal or Golden Phrase would fit more in line with her thinking. Whenever she was not doing anything that needed her full attention, she had to think to herself 'What is the most productive thing that I could be doing right now?' There was a self-help section at the back of one of the training magazines that she had procure with this tidbit of information and though it took some work, she tried to remind herself of it often, especially when she saw gold or gold-colored things... which was not that often. An introduction was the most productive thing that she could be doing at the moment, but after that—when she was simply listening—standing around would not be the most productive thing that she could be doing. "Venka, right?" Amazing asked, knowing it to be almost certain. "I'm Amazing! Err- that's my name, I'm not bragging about being special or anything..." There was a proverb from one of her parents brewing in her mind, but this was not the time nor the place to be dishing out knowledge. "Excuse me, but I will be- I have to exercise... for reasons." The tiny caramel treat would hope that she did not seem like a weirdo or anything, working out while the newcomer was introducing herself to the ship, but it couldn't be helped. It could, but it was easier to get this training out of the way early and not later in the storyline. Amazing Grace quickly turned and ran up the left flight of stairs to get to the garden and then down the right flight and continued going in in that same circle. She could hear everything being said as she was in earshot, and would chime in on anything if she needed to, but she assumed that her trusty subordinate Jaqk was capable enough. He had to show that he was worthy of that promotion on a technical level! Edited by AngelMayLaugh, Feb 22 2015, 09:24 AM.
