Profession Traits that Require Primary; Needs clarification

This may be just me, but as a veteran member who gets slightly irritated and confused by the numerous professional traits, I sometimes can't tell which traits require the primary or don't. I know it's easy just to check through their primary profession description, but it would be so much more convenient if there was just a label beside the professional trait, simply saying "This trait requires the profession to be Primary."

It'd be a lot less confusing for the new members as well.

Almost all of those traits are TP traits that may be taken even though their primary use isn't allowed with secondary professions.

Example: There is a doctor trait for buffing, but the exact working says "aid or buff", which means even if it can't buff, the TP can be used for aiding, which translates to making medical treatement techs like the ones Leander has.

When it comes to inventors, the TP could be used for non-explosive amunition if not for bombs.

When it comes to assassins, the TP could be used for damage poisons if not for debuff poisons.

In short, I don't think there are traits that can only be taken if primary. Although, maybe I'm just missing the exception and someone can correct me in that case.

Well, if you put it that way, I guess that's an easy way to remember it.

But for a new member? Nowhere does it say in the Rules like how you put it. Just for clarification sake, I think it would just be outright easier if you labelled just the traits that require the Primary profession.

Like seriously, it doesn't take that much work. Just label it.

I'm still confused about "General Trait Access" for the Martial professional traits, for example. Is that only for primaries or is it also available to secondaries?

General Trait Access is only for primaries. It says so somewhere in the rules. (exactly under the professional traits for each profession)

But that's it, the others aren't only for primaries, that's what I've been trying to explain.

General Trait

General Trait Access - As a martial profession, Weapon Specialist has access to certain General Traits as if they were Professional Traits, and may spend Professional Traits on them. You can find a list of all General Traits available to this profession on the Professions page.

I don't see primary anywhere.

Weapons Specialist

A much more general fighter-type profession, a Weapon Specialist is someone who has to a large or small degree devoted his/her life to the mastery of a single weapon or weapon type, such as Swords, Axes or Whips. This profession applies generally to melee weapons. Characters with this profession have access to certain additional traits and may create "Stance" techniques.

Really? Please be consistent. How the hell can I tell the difference between "certain additional traits" and "general traits"?

And for Advanced Martial Traits, are these accessible by secondary professions? I'm asking this because it technically affects Technique by extending the rank cap.

There are explanations for all primary bonuses and primary general trait access in the professions topic:

quotes

And mastery traits don't require primary.

I know they are clear cut explanations

But for the longest damn time, I was confused because of this exact line

Quote:

The general traits which these professions will have access to as professional traits are:

Like, I couldn't tell if it was primary or secondary because it JUST says "these professions". It wasn't addressed whatsoever on that page other than "hurr durr look at Traits page", which I quoted earlier. And because of how there's always a constant inconsistency in updating rules per patch, it doesn't make the Rules clear at all.

I've already addressed this earlier, but I'm talking as a member (NOT as a Staff) perspective who without a doubt has less experience with the rules than you guys do. It may be clear to you guys, but it sure as hell isn't clear to us. Just make it easier for clarification's sake.
