For better or worse, Tyrallia opted to ignore the silence of the room to show off what she knew. After all, plant biology was something of her specialist field within mad science.

"They're small red berries that grow on an evergreen dwarf bush. Normally found in acidic bogs. They actually help prevent urinary tract infections, if you can believe it. Health nuts love 'em. Why d'ye ask?"

All eyes in the room were on her now. She took a short sip from her drink before addressing the room in a very dignified fashion.

"The feck are you lot staring at?" Everyone seemed startled and did that thing people do where they suddenly avert their gaze when accused of staring, but some still looked at her apprehensively, maybe with a small degree of hatred. She took another sip. It seemed intelligence was frowned upon here. It showed in these people. She walked to the bar and put her drink on it. She turned to the guy Raine had said to call Orange. She reached out her left hand for a handshake.

"Tyrallia, Raine and Mae decided to let me travel with you."

"How very interesting, shame I'm not too bothered."

She didn't particularly care and the people who seemed to want to threaten them weren't doing very well, instead making her almost laugh. The negative vibes ere towards Orange anyway, who she didn't exactly care about anyways. She'd watched as Jeremiah's drink had been destroyed, which for the most part was quite funny because any misfortune which beset the man usually brought some entertainment values to her. After that the girl seemed to have no sort of fear as she stood right next to the man that had sent the strong kick and offered her greetings to the man who still wore that silly hood of his, almost religiously. She could have sworn she'd never seen his hair, and had half a mind to go and ask him, although she decided against it so it could be a surprise for another time. That'd be fun.

"Don't get scared Orange!"

She almost laughed at him directly, although held it back due to curiosity behind the question which had been asked him. Cranberries, an odd request but something understandable. Perhaps the bar owner had ordered some in or something and the man simple wanted some, which was an odd thing to want to get hold of, but perhaps they were religious nuts who used them with sacrifices and the head of a sinner and all that kind of thing. She remembered when she'd gone through that phase as a teenager, it'd been messy for sure and in the end she'd got too pissed off at nothing happening and gave up. She looked at Mae who seemed to be having a similar memory; they'd both been into it for all of about a week before she got annoyed and hungry and ate the assorted foods and Mae had scribbled lots of colours over anything they used which defeated the point of it.

Dark days...

Looking about she realised people were either keeping their heads down or looking the other way, none trying to pay much attention to what was happening, which gave her an idea. A simple nod and hand gesture towards her partner was enough to let her know what to do. Walking over to the bar she pulled up a far stool and let Mae take the other; they both took their instruments off their backs and began tuning and testing them quickly. After only a few moments they were ready to play. Raine started with a calm playing of guitar, slow and steady with an easy to notice pace, and then was followed by the harp which complimented the music and played also slowly to create a calm atmosphere in the place, hoping to sooth the minds of those around them and maybe even make it even more entertaining for when/if Orange got his head kicked in.

"Got any requests anyone?"

One man stood up, hunched over slightly and with a greying moustache and head of hair. He looked like someone you could get friendly with after a while, if you ignored the offensive comments he might make by accident, saying they slipped out like a stray fart. He spoke quietly to them both:

"My request... He he... It'd be you stop that rubbish and either play something better or ge-"

Kathunk

Raine went back to playing, allowing the small amount of blood on the side of her guitar to slowly drip down and the man she'd just smacked round the head to either sit down or leave. Instead he lay there with his head in his hands and hunched over like a weakling. She gave him a smile when he finally looked up again, having taken the small amount of anger he'd given her out on him. It was always refreshing letting out some anger, especially when it was by using brute force and violence, and even better seeing the results. She didn't enjoy violence per say, but it usually couldn't be avoided with stupid people like the man just then. She then directed her voice towards her crew mates:

"Music's goin' good. How're you two getting along? I hope you're not saying bad things to her Orange; I know you're a weird one with your glorious this and your marvellous that. Nah I'm just kidding ya. Just let me know when you're ready to go, and when they're done talking to you about assorted food items"

Grim looks and angry stares arose on the faces of the tavern's customers, mainly due to the mention of the word "cranberries". Jeremiah could distinctly remember one of the villagers stating that this island at some rule against any fruit other than peaches. But this only brought to light more questions about why this armed man had been asking about cranberries in particular. Jeremiah didn't know anything specifically about the fruit, apart from it was a red berry.

"They're small red berries that grow on an evergreen dwarf bush. Normally found in acidic bogs. They actually help prevent urinary tract infections, if you can believe it. Health nuts love 'em. Why d'ye ask?"

Raine’s back surgeon stepped forward, presenting herself and her green tentacles in full view of the pub’s occupants. Jeremiah paid particular attention to the small girl’s more than unusual limb, thinking about how such a obscure replacement for an arm could be useful. He wasn’t as surprised as most bystanders would be; being a cyborg, he changed his body parts on a regular basis. Stepping forward towards Jeremiah, the crazy plant lady introduced herself as Tyrallia. The name sounded as well as felt rather unusual to Jeremiah’s tongue, as if he’d swallowed something inedible.

“Jeremiah the orange, apparently… glad to have you abroad our now 4 man-group. Here’s a pro tip… don’t anger Raine or harm Mae, it might just be the last thing you’ll ever do.”

“…are you done?”

The cloaked man with the shiny hand pistol lowered his gun arm and directed his vision to Grand, who was now holding the bartender up with a bloody hand. Jeremiah turned and noticed the multiple wounds in the held man’s stomach. Appearing similar to stab wounds, but they seemed more circular. Grand loosened his grip suddenly, causing the bleeding barman to crash to the ground.

“ We have to go, they’ll be expecting us…”

“ Did he have the location?”

“Nope, just another dead end, quite literally.”

“alright then.”

“ You’re not gonna clean up your mess?”

Mary pointed to the bartender, who had passed out by now and began oozing blood over the floor boards.

“… fine, go ahead.”

She giggled in response to Grand’s validation, her pure white teeth on full display. She slowly stepped towards the bleeding body, drawing her scarlet blade while doing so. The tavern’s occupant’s heads turned to follow Mary’s movement, worried faces hanged on each like glue.

Jeremiah especially was watching with deep interest, while Grand and his associate moved swiftly out of the pub. He began to hope, that the scene was going to get more and more chaotic.

Tyrallia was almost unsettled by Orange's morbid fascination with the business going on by the bar.

Surely it wasn't normal to look so fascinated and spellbound by the mere sight of human innards. He seemed friendly enough at first - immediately moving onto advice for the crew as soon as introductions were done. There seemed to be more to this guy though... she supposed she'd find out more soon enough.

Raine meanwhile was causing chaos, which Tyrallia found far more entertaining than some random pirates beating the crap out of the bartender. Tyrallia had never considered a guitar as an effective weapon until now. One thing was certain, though - that guitar was sharper than it looked. This was obvious from the blood dripping to the floor as Raine's playing moved through the air.

"Nay, no old timey monologues yet, he's too busy gawking at the Good, the Bad and the Ugly." She pointed with one of her vines over her shoulder at the pirates, who were now leaving. Well, the guys were, the woman was approaching the bloody form of the barkeep.

She began to notice that the room was pretty quiet, likely in reaction to the violence from the pirates. Tyrallia was just looking around the room when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up she saw one of the guys who manned the door.

"I thought you were told to get out." Crap, she'd been spotted. She reacted by making her vines go limp and swung around in a clockwise motion, giving him a facefull of her Cat of Five Tails attack. She was proud of that name. She then made a dash for the door, yelling to Raine, Mae and Orange as she went.

"I'll be back wit ye in a bit!"

As their song came to an end Raine looked around, hoping that everyone would be cheering at them, as if they were big fans or something, but to no such luck. She growled under her breath, swearing vengence, and then proceeded to stand up and walk after the fleeing girl with a doctorate, wondering why the man had decided to ask her to leave and so decided to comfront him. As she went towards him she stumbled accidentally over the man, almost unconscious from her earlier beating for standing against her music. Another swift bat with her guitar sent the man over sideways, splattering blood across the floor like a scene in a lame horror movie, which only led her to laugh at him and carry on towards the guy. The hit he'd taken had made a funny noise which was a cross between a whipping noise and one of which you might hear from a sword hitting a leaf, so she couldn't held but grin at him. He was holding his face and slowly making his way towards Tyrallia, which made for a perfect scene right about now. Leaning over the bar she grabbed what seemed to be a bottle of wine, which on closer inspection was made with peaches instead of grapes. HOW DID THAT EVEN WORK?! Nevertheless she gripped it by the neck whilst handing her instrument to Mae who gladly took it, and then placed her now free hand on the guys shoulder.

"LEAVE OUR DOCTOR ALONE!!!"

With that she slammed the bottle down hard onto the man's head, spraying the liquid everywhere and shattering the bottle. She let the man stagger forwards a little with glass in his head and blood now combining with the so called wine before launching another attack at him, which was a heavy right punch to the back of the head, jamming the glass further into his head and creating multiple deep cuts on her hand which she used to turn into more rage. Now for the finisher. Grabbing the man's legs she lifted him up like a pathetic ragdoll, and then dragged him along the floor towards the nearest table, using all her strength to swing him through the air down onto the wooden structure, which splintered on impact and filled the man with even more damaged products. She then quickly dived onto her knees and sent a few quick jabs into his face before getting up and clapping her hands together to clear any dirt off them, sighing and returning to her normal laid back state. A quick glance round the room told her that they weren't too happy with her actions, but nobody made a stand or did anything. First the butler guy and his friends, and now her. What a bunch of weaklings. Talking of the butler guy and co:

"Blues to Orange, Blues to Orange. And no I'm not talking about a colour chart, I mean get your head out of the blood clouds and come with us. Unless you want to stay and watch that dude get killed, which by the way will be you next if you don't hurry up"

With that she turned and began to walk out, knowing her speech wasn't such a bad one and it was obvious he'd follow her, the threats of hers always won. Before she could get out the bar however, a similar hand took hold of hers, and was lifted slightly into the air for an inspection. Mae was looking at the damage done in the fight, and seemed to conclude that it needed fixing. A few moments later Raine found that a bright coloured, rainbow plaster had been stuck across the back of her whole hand, covering any damage that had been recieved and only leaving a few scrapes untouched. She hugged her wife in approval and gratitude and then left the tense room, not turning back, even when she though she heard the sound of gurgling and giggling. Whoever that group had been, she didn't suspect they were much of a trouble yet, although for some really strange reason she felt that perhaps they would in the future, as if foreshadowing some great event. She laughed, that would be too convenient wouldn't it!

Walking out of the bar, she moved over to a nearby wall which she proceeded to sit on and reach into her side pouch on her backpack, removing a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. After lighting one and putting the rest of the stuff back, she took a deep breathe of the stuff, and then sighed, allowing the smoke to leave her mouth and nose simultaneously. She'd found they were a good way to calm a temper, even if Mae didn't approve much. Talking of her little Butterfly, she'd been awfully quiet their time on the island, although was now finishing zipping up Raine's guitar in it's case and placing it on the floor in front of them. They smiled at eachother at the same time and then embraced, both also being careful not to burn themselves on the flame caused by the cigarette.

"You've been quiet... Why?"

"I'm just tired. You snore really loudly you know."

"You could have said... I would have... Erm... Got you a new pair of earmuffs or something. In fact I will when we get a chance OK?"

"Aw you're the best. Thanks. I guess that beats having to sleep far apart."

"Like hell that'd happen. Hah!"

She smiled, having found out what the problem was, after a slightly weird conversation and a sudden picture in her head of rainbow coloured fluffy earmuffs. After a few moments she looked around for their doctor and realised they practically hated the stuff she held inbetween two fingers, that being the thing on fire creating smoke (the cigarette, in case you didn't realise by then). She didn't know where the girl was but incase she was in hearing distance she said:

"You don't need to say anything about this doc. It does me a bit of good I'd say. And it's not like my lungs are gonna give out is it? Calms the nerves is all, means I don't do this as much"

With that she raised the rainbow covered bloodied hand with a lopsided grin on her face.

Having bolted from the pub, Tyrallia made a hard left into an alleyway that ran parallel to the building. She'd probably need to lie low for a bit after the commotion she'd caused. She could meet up with Raine, Mae and Orange later. Once everything was sorted here, she could begin on her quest to return to the Grand Line and awaken her true potential.

So absorbed she was in her thoughts that she smashed straight into someone who was already standing in the alley. She recoiled from the impact, but he stayed put. She looked up at him. He was unremarkable in his stature, but what made him stand out was the rather concerningly designed mask he covered his facial features with. She almost immediately recognised it as one that was worn by one of the pirates from the bar. She went to offer an apology - however brief and forced - but he got there first. In a manner of speaking.

"Watch where you're..." he began, but cut himself off, looking down at Tyrallia, his piercing silver eyes glaring through the eyeholes of the mask like particularly intense headlights. Tyrallia took a step back. His eyes never left hers. "I beg your pardon, milady. It would not do for me to be rude to a young girl like yourself..." Tyrallia wasn't really paying attention to his nattering, and went to walk past him, but he moved, blocking her way. "You... you're ignoring me! Why are you ignoring me!? Nobody ignores me! I am Trigger of the Mask Pirates! Hear the name and tremble!"

This guy was starting to piss her off. And an angered Goddess is a dangerous thing. Tyrallia unbuttoned her sleeve and assumed a combat stance, her vines raised to attention and ready to strike. "Move." She hissed. He didn't take that well. She could almost hear the malice in his voicecrack. "You are ignoring me! I don't normally hit little girls but today I'll make an exception!" He raised his leg to kick her in the gut. She braced herself, confident she could take the hit and counter easily. What she hadn't expected was to be launched backwards out of the alley despite her readiness. Fucking hell, what did this guy EAT? She landed in a pained heap at the alley's entrance, with this 'Trigger' character simply watching. She heard more footsteps behind her head. Adjusting her field of view, she found herself looking up the skirt of a woman in a maid uniform. She screwed her eyes shut. She had not needed to see that. A tall woman, also wearing a mask that was slightly more artistically designed. Tyrallia also recognised this one from the bar as one of the pirates who caused the commotion, like Trigger.

"My, my, another denial for the Great Debauchee, eh?" She was twiddling her hair, which was long, curly, and way to red to be natural. Tyrallia could hear Trigger retorting in the distance. "What was that, Psycho?"

As the two went about their argument, Tyrallia went about pulling herself to her feet. No sooner had her head left the ground than it was forced back down to the pavement by a foot on her face. The woman. "Nuh-uh!" She spoke with a patronising playfulness. Tyrallia despised her already. She felt the pressure on her face increase. "Can't have you leaving, can we? You're Debauchee's prey, and you can't leave until he says so." Tyrallia struggled to remove the woman from her face, applying the strength of all six of her arms to the job, but it didn't budge. "That's it, little bug, squeal. Struggle. You will fail no matter how freakish your body is. The pain is beautiful, isn't it?" More pressure on her face.

A third voice spoke. ""Leave it." Tyrallia recognised the voice, again from the pirate crew. The boss character, the man with the voice like velvet that gave an aura of extreme self-confidence. The woman went to protest. "But Grand...!" the boss cut him off. "Mary, you've already had your chance to mutilate the bartender of that pub, you don't need that child." Tyrallia bristled. It was like being younger made her inferior or something. The woman reluctantly released the pressure. "Fiiiine."

Tyrallia heard the footsteps of the three leaving, but still gave it a bit before clambering to her feet to go and look for her crew.

Raine sat on the wall kicking her heels, wondering where everyone had gone. Jeremiah was still afk in the bar she suspected and Tyrallia appeared to have run off to avoid the bar, which she didn't really understand but brushed it off. As her heels kicked back and forth she thought a little bit more about the idea of being wanted people, it felt wrong. The fact their faces would be up on walls and stuff just felt like they were some weird superstar, which she was fully aware that the girl attached to her arm would love, so she didn't complain too much. Instead she stopped kicking her heels and stood up, looking about to see if she could spot their new doctor, still nowhere in sight. She took Mae by the hand and began walking, dragging the half asleep girl along for the stroll too. She supposed they'd need to find somewhere to rest other then the piece of driftwood they'd called home for a little while, and would later abandon with any luck. She took a guess that the place would have some sort of place to stay, especially judging from the fact there was the odd boat around and the sailors would need somewhere to rest their heads.

"Let's find the doc, Orange and then a room, what do ya think?"

"Purple... yeah sure"

"Purple...?"

"Tentacle lady, purple."

"Oh... well let's find purple then"

With that they both picked up the pace a little, following a single path in the general direction that she thought the girl had headed, hoping she wasn't completely wrong and hadn't just got lost or anything. As they walked along she noticed a field in the distance, one filled with green and the odd orange, a field off peaches which took up a load of land, with the odd worker walking about with buckets and tools and general stuff like that. It looked ugly and she disliked peaches so it was best to avoid the place completely so that she didn't start throwing peaches and people about and breaking both in half, as she was aware was the case when she became angry. As she thought of this, on a completely unrelated note she realised they'd forgotten to tell Orange that they had gone for a walk, and so he'd end up walking out and not being able to find them. She laughed, it was easy to imagine the fool stumbling out of the place and turning in circles out of confusion, and eventually giving up and going back to the boat. She sighed, like that sigh would carry away all her worries and pains in her god damned aching back. That thing on her back hadn't worked yet, surely she had rested long enough now.

She stopped grumbling about pains as she noticed someone that seemed to be in a little bit more than her, with a slouched back, almost to the floor, and a pretty bloodied chest, with dirt up her front and a strained look on her face. She was easily recognisable though, because you don't see people with tentacles on their arms very often. Before she had even reacted Mae had sprung into action, flinging a bandage towards the girl which missed and flew off down the alley, the rainbow material lost in the darkness of the place. It was actually a depressing sight but she didn't have time for examining the poetry of the scene, and instead ran over to the newly named Purple. She wasn't quite sure if it was suitable to pick her up, partially because she wasn't the doctor and partially because she might end up causing more harm than good. She knelt down in front of her and stuck her arms out to make sure she didn't fall, but Mae seemed to already have that covered as she had her hands on the girls shoulders and was seemingly thinking about how to proceed.

"Purple..."

"Shit... what the hell happened... I'm pretty sure you didn't fall from a rooftop so... who did this? I'll KILL THEM!"

With that she screamed in anger and sprinted full pelt towards the other end of the alleyway, picking up a dustbin as she ran as to use as a weapon later on. She was really angry now, because nobody did that to people that were of use to her apart from her and Mae, and somebody had just done that. She was not happy with this and now she would end up hitting the first person she saw, which funnily enough was an old man who looked like he'd never done anything bad in his life. Before he knew what hit him (literally), a fist collided with the side of his head and soon after so did an average sized bin, which made a weird noise and mushed the side of his head a little. She growled and lashed out a few more times, catching his gut and his arm, leaving him defenceless and battered. He screamed in pain and through gritted teeth he heard a gudgled voice spit out the words:

"Is this for the kid?"

She could only translate that as Purple and so she griwled in what was almost translatable as a yes, and then she put him to sleep maybe for good, with a final smack to the side of his head. She heard a little air escape his lungs and she grinned in satisfaction before standing up from her crouching position, kicking him to remove the last of the anger and walked back, happy it had been sorted, although she wanted to know who that old guy was to her. She left it for now, letting her bloodied fists hopefully speak for themselves as she came into sight of the rainbow haired Butterfly attempting to tend to some wounds while also sizing up the girl for something she no doubt would design for her. She sighed, she didn't need to see the tentacle monster in a fairy costume, and neither did the girl either...

disregarding everything that was happening outside of the small tavern, Jeremiah drank merrily along with the local patrons. There he sat, atop the corpse of the previous bartender, the new one was beforehand, forced to serve Jeremiah a drink at gunpoint. To his surprise, the bartender made a comfortable seat, as well as this ripped out intestines, making an excellent cushion. Jeremiah casually told jokes, often being dark humour about organs, also laughing after each one. The other occupants around the bar watched and listened nervously at the dangerous man in the orange coat, hoping he'd leave soon enough or pass out from drinking. Despite their hopes, Jeremiah wasn't the least bit wavered by alcohol, forcing himself to refrain from large amounts. After a while, the comedian sighed, holding his head in one hand, his elbow resting on his left knee; he became bored of his own jokes and puns at the deceased bartender's expense.

"Well, i'll be off now, you've been a great audience!"

He gave a bow, then headed towards the backdoor of the building, holding a shark-like smile on his face. The customers gazes followed as the cyborg left the establishment, all of them griping their tankards in fear. He gave a quick wave, then left. Past the door, Jeremiah was welcomed by the sight of an alleyway wall, only a meter away from his smiling, confident smug-looking face. The wall was worn and cracked by time, weather and vandals. Like the wall, Jeremiah’s face slowly became worse for wear, his smile turning into a bored frown, showing his quick loss in interest in this island. He thought that he’d be the one causing the trouble around here, not some masked pirate gang. He sighed at this own personal matter. Knowing Raine, she’d want to punch anyone in the face that annoyed her, giving that “Grand” did so, the band of misfits would be therefore chasing after the masked bandits. Despite how nice it would be having destroyed the crew that plagued this wonderful town, Jeremiah could see no benefit in doing this, apart from the enjoyment of massacring people. For Mae of the other hand, Jeremiah could see her either following Raine’s actions or trying to solve the problem with a peaceful motive. The word peace made Jeremiah’s mouth taste sour; he couldn’t stand it.

“H-H-HELP!”

A scream emitted from within the alleyway, around the corner, sounding as if someone was in dire need of assistance. Jeremiah rolled his eyes. Looks like, yet again, he’d need to help someone or do something he didn’t want to. He dashed in the direction of the yelling damsel, taking bends left and right till he reached an wider alleyway opening. Before him was a young lady, with bulky circular glasses, perfectly straight, thick jaw-length and bangs hairstyle, being confronted by two well-built bald men wearing blank white masks. Each of them armed with knifes.

“Oi! Don’t you go callin’ some wannabe hero now; we’d hate to have to kill both of ya…”

”Please, I don’t know anything about it!”

Her eyes followed the moving bandit’s blade, edging closer and closer to the wall behind her. The one on the right seemed to be splitting out demands while the other one laughed and maintained a ‘im so menacing’ look. Jeremiah moaned at the thought of having to say something heroic, like “stop right there, evildoer!”, so instead took a shot at the right one’s head, the bullet hitting it’s mark quite easily due to the short distance the gun and the criminals were apart. Suddenly, the woman’s terrified facial expression turned worse and worse, becoming even more mortified at the now collapsed bleeding corpse by her feet. The second bandit turned to face Jeremiah, raising his trusty firearm.

“Wh- who the he-“

The masked pirate’s speech came to a halt at the feeling of the knife piercing his gullet. After coughing up large amounts of red liquid, the bandit passed out on the alley floor below to continue to die of blood loss quietly. With the threat out of the way, Jeremiah stepped forward to the newly saved damsel, who stood speechless at her saviour.

“I know, I have that effect on people. Don’t worry, your knight in shin-“

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!”

DONK!

Expectedly, Jeremiah had been thanked by a sudden yell, followed by the pound of a hard fist at the top of the head. He began to feel his neck take on the properties of a spring as he lost his balance, thus collapsed to the ground. Confusion ran through Jeremiah’s mind; he didn’t expect a selfless action would come back to bite his ass. Although, the sudden use of violence and murder may have been the reason for such a reaction. All of his thoughts seemed to clear as drifted away from consciousness.

The plot I’ve made up

Tyrallia forced her eyes open. She'd collapsed from the effort of walking after an injury like that - it was like she'd been hit with a mace, and it was just a guy's leg. She noticed blood on her chest; she must have coughed it up without noticing. Widening her attention span, she saw the two women she was now on a team with standing over her. Mae was crouched over her to her left, and Raine was walking from her right, looking pissed.

"Sorry... got caught out by those eejits from the bar." She waved at Mae to ask for some space, and forced herself to her feet, using all six of her arms to help lift herself. She stood shakily for a second before bringing her vines in close together and buttoning her sleeve. She looked back to Raine, who was breathing heavily, like she'd just... been in a fight. Tyrallia narrowed her eyes. "I thought I said 3 days' rest." She hated when people ignored her instructions. It was usually because she was 'just' a child. She detested that phrase and anyone with the gall to say it out loud wouldn't be saying much else for the rest of their lives, unless they innovate a way to speak without a tongue.

She was also concerned about how to take action against those pirates. She wan't about to sit back and just take a beating, but it was clear that if she were to go for revenge they would hand her arse straight back to her on a silver plate. They were strong. Then it struck her. She wasn't alone, and so could possibly win if Raine, Mae and Orange accompanied her. Although it seemed Orange was currently off doing his own thing.

"You interested in helping me go for revenge on those masked bastards?"

Raine gave a curious look over at the newly named Purple, as she seemed worried about her health despite being quite badly injured already, or perhaps it was an attempt at a bit of comedy which ran stale. She watched as Mae backed off a little, and then wondered why that old man had acted so suspicious despite not having attacked the doctor, but she wasn't going to question it now as those "eejits" would be quite the distance by now, so her anger wouldn't start up. Whatever that old guy had done, he was in a bit of a mess now so she'd vented a little anyway, but when she saw those people again, yeah they were going down for sure, she was going to make sure of that. The idea of revenge coming from the small girls mouth was almost like music to her ears, apart from music was music to her ears, not the word revenge. She'd never been one for metaphors.

"Revenge sounds like a perfect idea. I hope you don't mind but I beat on an old guy 'cause I thought he was the one that had done that..."

Most people would have actually asked the man what he'd done before beating on him, but Raine was one of a kind that was for sure, and so she hadn't really thought about it. Perhaps that was because her anger tended to overwhelm her usual logic and replaced it with a need to beat up some people, usually the ones that had caused her to get angry, but also sometimes Jeremiah because she felt like it. Talking of Orange, she had no idea where he'd got to, as he hadn't really followed them out of the bar and she felt like she hadn't seen him in ages ahem. Feeling thankful that she didn't have to see the guys ugly smug thing which could be known as a face, she strolled over next to Mae and placed a hand on her shoulder, realising that her right hand still had blood all over it, although now it had dried by quite the amount and was easier to use; the magic of rainbow she was sure had fixed it up a little.

"What'd you suggest for a cut hand by the way doc? Managed it beating on the guy that tried to chase you. He wont be trying that again though."

The idea of beating up "those masked bastards" came back in to her mind and made her grin a little, it was just such a good idea wasn't it?! She could imagine sticking a bottle down Grants neck or something, or clubbing Mary into oblivion, making her explode into a cloud of blood and flesh, although it was a little bit gory she liked the idea. This of course led her back to the reason why they were doing this, because they'd decided to be asshats and beat up Purple, which was of course not a nice move to pull, which began to get on Raine's nerves. Despite them not being nearby and having taken her anger out on some random guilty old guy, she could feel it welling up in the pit of her stomach again, like a fire ready to escape and char the bodies of those three masked buttheads who thought they could do what they wanted in such a peaceful place like they were in.

"I'll kill them... KILL THEM. I'll do it, I'll smash their heads in!"

Her anger was a lot more controlled than usual, which might have been showing signs of improvement, or more likely that she was probably go full out as soon as she caught sight of them. She was fully aware when really angry she could beat people without any sort of regret, and although she could remember it once she was calm again, it still didn't bother her despite actually not really wanting to use much violence on people. Violin on the other hand, she would quite enjoy playing one of those to an audience, even if she wasn't the hugest fan of being in front of people, not huge gigs anyway. A small group, like a bar full, yeah she looked forwards to playing in one of those one day, alongside Mae whilst hitting Orange's thick skull with drum sticks and Purple playing her tentacles like a weird guitar. As she thought about this funny scene she got control of her anger and stopped shouting, instead focused to try and think of where they would go.

"We should figure out where they are, but first find that metal meat head and punch him a bit, and then take down those mask wearers. Sound like a plan?"

"I like the plan, although try not to kill Orange, we might need his help a little bit."

Raine considered this for a moment before continuing:

"Sure, but if he tries to bring a girl home I'll slap him silly."

"Huh?"

"We've left him alone for so long he might try to get himself a wife or something, and they'll need my permission to join!"

Triumphantly she stuck her thumb on her chest and grinned a little, feeling oddly cool about doing so despite not having done anything yet. All she'd done was threaten the hooded guy yet it made her feel so good inside, like she was doing it for the greater good which she was of course. Although... Despite feeling the need to punch Jeremiah every so often, she was very aware that he was a capable fighter and that he was a useful member of their crew, although she wouldn't tell him that to his face, she'd rather let him die. It probably wasn't too hard to find another person good with guns and stabbing people, for example the masked people, surely one might join with a little bit of convincing. That kind of thing would probably annoy her a little too much though, as she'd constantly want to beat one of them up for having annoyed her in the past, the same as she still held a grudge against Judas, who made her blood boil thinking about him.

"Let's head back to the bar and find him all the same"

Pulsing and swelling, his injury was even noticeable while unconscious! His vision fazed between darkness and the dull grey of the alley walls, he definitely wasn't prepared for the woman's surprise strike. In addition, he didn't expected such a strike to leave quite a noticeable mark upon the left side of his forehead, appearing a dark shade of blue. His fingers glided across the bump on his head, while his eyes were pried open my Jeremiah's sheer willpower to retain the slightest bit of dignity. If word catches on that the infamous, the daring and the brilliant mastermind, Jeremiah Ortega was knocked to the floor by a mere commoner, he would lose all his hard-earned respect, despite it being imaginary...

He arose from his lumber, having his head still bruised by his minor 'incident' he had with that woman. It didn't take the genius in orange to realise the still frightened woman who stood before him. All of her limbs were frozen solid, like a paralyzed state. Her stare was fixed on Jeremiah, darkened by the despair in her eyes.

“y-you’re awake.”

“Well done Miss obvious, I hope you have the money to pay for my health insurance…”

“ I-I’m very very very sorry about hitting you like that, I-I thought you were one those bad men…”

“ Oh? And who said I’m not?”

“W-Well, you seem n-nice enough, I suppose..”

Jeremiah grunted at this girl, clearly he was mistaken in giving her the mature title of women. Her entire image seem to leak n’ reek with lack of confidence, but Jeremiah may have been too quick to judge. He reached for his hood, only to suddenly realise that his head was fully exposed. His expression turned right around, as did the girl’s, as he quickly slid the hood over his head in one swift motion.

“Are.. you okay mister?”

“Lets, pretend you didn’t see that, okay? Okay. Phew.”

"Yeah..." Tyrallia began sceptically as she hauled herself to her feet. It didn't feel like any ribs had been broken. She'd been lucky. "Not a good idea for me to back there. They've still got the hump over a bit of trouble I caused... I'll hang about here until you're done."

Tyrallia turned out away from the buildings and out to sea. She'd forgotten how lively society was. Not even half an hour back among people and she'd already encountered enough crazy characters to last a lifetime. The headstrong yet occasionally compassionate Raine. The airheaded but kind Mae. The... concerning Orange. Her fist tightened as she though about those masked arseholes. The indiscriminately cruel Mary. The egocentric Trigger. And the casually condescending 'Grand'. With a name like that, she guessed you had to be some kind of douchebag. She decided that she would use Raine, Mae and Orange to beat these 'Masked Pirates' and get to Boin Archipelago, then ditch them. Unless they were prepared to be her minions, which she doubted. For the time being, she couldn't make the run alone, so they were necessary.

"My, my, you're actually still standing." Recognising the voice, Tyrallia unbuttoned her sleeve and spun anticlockwise to slap the woman standing behind her, but Mary simply raised her left hand and caught the vines in a tight grip. Tyrallia tried to pull away, but she couldn't. Mary just laughed. "You've got some spirit, brat, I'll give you that. Come one, tell me, what's up with these?" She raised the vines.

If Tyrallia knew one thing, it was that she wasn't gonna yield to the first bitch with a vice-grip. "Go to fecking hell."

Mary all but collapsed to the ground in laughter as Tyrallia spoke. "Oh dear, what is that accent?" And now she was taking the piss. Fantastic. She tried to pull away again, but the grip hadn't even loosened slightly. All her attempt earned her was more of Mary's attention. She slowly straightened and spoke far more calmly when next she opened her mouth. "I'll have you know that the only reason you even had a chance to get away was because Grand's a big softie at heart. He's held up by a condescending sense of self-righteousness." Yep, Tyrallia had definitely felt that. "I don't have that limitation. You piss me off, you suffer a hell of a lot of pain. You're well on the way to that little joy ride, and it'll hurt you a lot more than it hurts me." She seemed to think for a bit. "Tell ya what, I've got a deal. You clearly need to warm up to me, and you seem worth my time, so why don't we form a little alliance?" She was maintaining her grip on Tyrallia's arms, but getting in very close, too so for Tyrallia to be comfortable. It was almost like she was trying to kiss her. She instinctively backed away slightly.

It was plain to see that this woman was a sadist (she'd probably be a great match for Orange, in all honesty). It took Tyrallia all of 2 seconds to figure out that she simply wanted the living scourge by her side as a sort of portable torture kit. Tyrallia, for one, was not a fan of being used and greatly suspected she would be at the butt of Mary's violent rampages from time to time. That was a big nope from her. She forced a smirk (as best she could with half a mouth) as she gave her answer.

"What, are you so much of a sadistic bitch that even the inanimate whips turn you down?"

Mary lost it. "I..." her eyes were suddenly wide, her nostrils flared and her teeth gritted. She was furious. "...AM NOT A FUCKING SADIST!" Tyrallia felt the grip loosen as Mary lost focus. She pulled away and stumbled back a few yards as she swallowed her pride and called out, "RAINE!"

Raine didn't really think it mattered whether or not Tyrallia could go near the bar, especially as she beat the snot out of anyone that tried to contest her will. However she knew that she needed to be careful who she tried to kill, it was quite common that people could be tougher than they appeared and she wasn't a fan of getting injured, as proved by her back which still stung a little bit. Not that it mattered, she could ignore the pain, or just fuel her anger a little despite that not being a good idea. Walking off towards the pub area, she thought about what was currently happening. Although she didn't like to think about it too much, they were becoming dangerously involved in something they really shouldn't have, just those guys talking about cranberries or whatever made her wonder what exactly was happening. It also made her wonder why they didn't just leave, although as they'd been adventuring for a while she was fully aware they needed to finish up a job before moving on, otherwise if they ever held a grudge they'd have to backtrack and most the time that took effort and time, not something she was fond of.

"What do you think Orange is up to anyway?"

"Dunno... Maybe he's making rainbows or something..."

"Heh, perhaps. We'll see though. How about I get to punch him if he isn't?"

"Mhmm... That works"

As they walked along together, a distant shout for the redhead's name sounded, like an alarm. Her head spun quickly but she couldn't see anything, although she was pretty sure she recognised the vague accent in the shout, and it didn't sound good. Turning around and sprinting full pelt, she aimed to get back to where they had been before to try and see what the big problem was. As she got there she spotted the woman who'd been called Mary who seemed kind of angry and very focused on hurting their doctor, which instantly annoyed Raine. Looking around frantically, she searched for something to throw quickly, and as if by magic she found a small bench a few steps away. With a little effort she managed to rip the wooden seat out of the ground, and whilst jumping into the air she threw it full pelt at the annoying sadistic woman, allowing the bench to fly straight towards her body whilst flinging herself backwards in recoil, sending her flying into a nearby wooden shed and destroying a decent amount of it. As little bits of wood fell on top of her she saw the girl get punted quite a few feet down the road, the wood shattering and sending splinters everywhere:

"I'LL KILL YOU GIRL!"

Raine was annoyed, and even if she was under some beams of wood, a little bit of help from Mae and her own strength allowed her to be free, grab one of the larger planks and run full pelt at the girl who was only just recovering, holding her head in her hand a little bit. Even if she was strong, she'd still get hit pretty hard by a flying bench. This was of course useful, it was harder to club a moving target hard round the head, so being on the floor reduced this chance by a nice amount. By the time she'd got to her, she seemed to have recovered, but it didn't stop the red haired one from trying to hit her hard. As the plank flew downwards towards her head, the girl looked up and almost in the blink of an eye she'd moved from underneath it, causing the plank to keep going and smash when it hit the floor, sending wood chips everywhere. After a few seconds of having to keep her eyes closed, she spun on her feet to try and find where Mary had gone, but she seemed to have gone. Perhaps she made a tactical retreat due to a little injury she'd received. That was probably a good thing, especially as it gave them to look to see if their doctor wasn't injured.

"WHERE'D YOU GO BITCH?!"

She couldn't see or hear her, so she suspected that she'd gone and done a runner, which allowed her rage to cool a little bit, but not enough to stop her from punching a nearby brick wall full pelt, drawing blood to her hand but taking a fair bit out of the brick too. Now calmed, she looked over to Tyrallia, who already had Mae trying to help her and generally being all over her. She couldn't have appreciated that too much, but she wasn't going to comment, especially as her little Butterfly knew a lot more about people than her. Walking over and crouching next to their new doctor so that she could see any injuries, she did a quick, inspection, oddly enough not finding anything apart from the ones before. Perhaps she hadn't got a chance too, although she did seem awfully fast so she should have... Before she could try and work any more out, she spotted three people running towards them, all with white featureless masks like the people from the bar. They carried weapons which made her think Mary had probably sent them, which is why she readied her guitar and screamed in anger at them.

Jeremiah had been in an intense stage of deep thought for a few minutes, his mechanical hands stretched, picked and rubbed his face as he glared blankly into the woman's eyes. She looked back into his, but slowly grew a red blush on her pure white cheeks. She then began to hesitate, her eyes darting from side to side, then from up to down, creating moans and sighs, stating her awkwardness in the current situation. In contrast, Jeremiah was unfazed, emotionless, as if he was trying to fix the world's hardest rubik's cube. But as complicated as it sounded, to only jeremiah, he was actually trying to think of why the female was still around the prestigious inventor for more than a few seconds. He understood how amazing cyborgs were, but did not quite feel that this woman had noticed. Also, he thought of the possibility that this woman was running a scam with the other men, paying them to pretend to rob her, awaiting a rescuer, then seducing them and robbing them blind. He smiled at the thought; Jeremiah was not so easily seduced, unless she teased him with new world technology, then he would be as foolish and gullible as a child.

"Alright, judging by your lab coat and your clear lack of confidence, you are an inventor or scientist's assistant."

His speech broke her trail of thought, however, still dazed, she looked up towards Jeremiah.

"Um, yes... I am."

She adjusted her bulky, square glasses after her nervous response.

" If you d-don't mind me asking, erm, who are you?"

Jeremiah was waiting for those words, much like an actor's cue. His body shot up like an alert hare, positioning himself into a proud, confident stance.

"Inventor of Gizmos, Causer of chaos, Lover of destruction and annoyance of many, I am the great Jeremiah Ortega... a deep pleasure to meet you."

Tyrallia shrugged off Mae, who seemed to think she was some kind of child who needed fussing over, and went to join the screaming Raine in combat with the three masked people. Vines writhing in the air, eager for blood, she casually walked past her new companion and wrapped three vines around the throat of the nearest man, pulling him in and slamming her fist into his mask. A small crack appeared in his mask and she threw him to the ground behind her. She'd come back to him.

All five vines free again, she spun clockwise and took the middle man off his feet with a vicious backhand/uppercut. These guys were like paperweights. Maybe the plain masks meant they were some kind of low-level grunts in whatever crazed organisation made up this pirate crew. Grunt #1 was back on his feet, and Tyrallia turned to face him. His mask damaged, he grudgingly removed it, revealing a fairly run of the mill face. Pale features, freckles, brown eyes. Long dark hair. No one you'd remember. He looked vengeful, though.

He went to kick her, but his technique wasn't very skillful - he was just aiming to hit a kid. She sidestepped easily and wrapped her vines around his leg as it went past, throwing it upwards and sending him into a backwards somersault. He landed heavily on his back, but Tyrallia had already turned her attention back to Grunt #2, who had regained his balance and was coming at her from behind - or so he thought, until she spun on heel and landed a punch in his gut with her left hand.

While not enough to wind him, the force behind the punch did seem to surprise him and she took advantage of this surprise by wrapping two vines around each of his legs and pulling them out from under him. Grunt #1 was back on his feet and returning for round two, but she knocked him out with a final blow to the head with all five vines at once. Him down, she placed her foot on the chest of Grunt #2, wrapped two vines around his throat and pulled his mask off, tossing it aside and causing it to smash against the pavement.

"Who the feck sent ye?" not the most necessary of opening questions, but an interrogation had to start somewhere.
