So... while Oda, Drunk, Zander, and others where arguing over Inventors needing or not needing more traits, It got me to thinking. Why not bring back Navi and Survivalist but for them to be as one profession http://prntscr.com/5lrfx0 As Identity stated himself. This then got me thinking, why not go ahead and fuse Carpenter and Smith together. Sure Carpenters deal in wood and Smiths deal in metal, but, given how Carpenters are allowed to upgrade ships unlike other professions, this in conjunction with a couple other One Piece things. As we all know, Ships are made of more than just wood. They are made of wood and other materials. We have seen Usopp repair Going Merry and he used other things than just wood to repair the ship, he used metal of sorts to bolt things back together. Plus, Franky was a shipwright himself and dealt with wood and metal, so, why not just put the two professions Carpenter and Smith together and call it Shipwright already? |

That would give far too much versatility to one profession if we were to merge Smith/Carp, in terms of what they would have access to. As for survivalist that was actually pretty much navigator+. Merging those two wouldn't do anything since they were already pretty much merged and survivalist was broken in itself with barely a solid theme to it. |
