I am now more than confused to how this fruit runs, works & helps you in any situation in roleplay. Even with the entertainer profession as prime and crowd control for a trait, it seems like the fruit cannot, disorientate, daze, induce sleep or calm someone (which it can do in actuality) with its harmonic powers. This is holding me up from editing my profile any further, and if so I will drop the fruit entirely. Can I get thorough ruling and laws of physics stated for its use because I am tired of the complication.. ::confused::

It can be used to create music through wind whistling through body holes, that much you know. What you've gotta remember dude, is that Iguru is a starter character, all the crazy mind warping sound based stuff will be higher level, for now distraction and small debuffs/buffs are all it's gonna be able to do. Gotta level up before you can do cool stuff with it.

Luffy wasn't doing Jet Gatling on day one, you know.

Crispy I will so vote for you to be a mod. Your pretty helpful. You helped me on my gun blade thread, frankly also.

Arc he is kinda right. I personally think the fruit is ass. You could Maybe play I nasty tune to distract enemies. Dropping the accuracy.

Yeah I hear you yo

Thing is that I haven't updated my profile at all, so everything is pretty much horrid in understanding correctly (just up and quit mid doing)

I put a simple move to confuse, even that was said to be updated because "it can't do that", I'm about to drop this fruit.

The fruit itself doesn't buff or debuff. If you had the entertainer profession you could use it as a medium for buffing.

For the most part it's just making sounds, you can use those sounds you make to distract or offensively damaging peoples hearing and increasing effects with higher ranks. But that's about the extent of it, we don't do any sort of emotion inducing here because it comes pretty close to character control, so you won't get anything like brook puppeting crowds of people.

With Entertainer as a Primary profession you should be able to have basic buffs/debuffs with it. That's my understanding anyway, though as I'm not a mod I could be wrong.

That's a more clearer understanding, so I am dropping the fruit and picking up another.

I just feel like saying it...

Not every fruit is going to be gomu, y'know? You can stick gomu on any character and you'll be able to make techniques and find synergy somewhere. But some fruits need to be built around. I think chime can be useful, but I imagine you'd have to be a martial artist and incorporate it into your fighting style. Just taking it and expecting it to be a debuff machine isn't going to work. Expecting it to just give you access to a lot of versatile techs, and then realizing it won't just do that, will probably give you a bad impression of it, but I think it can be utilized to be worth the traits.

I did go with the martial artist profession and of course mixed it into my fighting, but basically there is no debuffing or buff that comes from doing it (Basically they said all it does is make sound and distract)

Buff's aren't everything mate. In fact at high-level combat, stats arent worth much at all because everyone's about the same. Sure there's minor differences, but what makes or breaks a fight isn't stats or buffing techniques- it's versatile techniques.

Techniques that ignore armor. (coughsound) Techniques that hit internally. (coughsound) Techniques that are hard to avoid/block. (coughsound) Techniques that cause unique shockwaves. (coughsound)

If stat's were the only good thing, or buffs were the only good thing, everyone would just zoan and stat-trait whore, after all. Buffs are nice, so are stats- but techniques and their versatility, beyond simple stat-alterations are what really matters.

EDIT: That aside, I'm not saying keep the fruit. Just clarifying it's anything but useless- it may just not be what your after is all. On another note, Entertainers can no longer debuff- just buff. If you want AoE/Near-Instant Hit Debuffs you gotta go Kings Haki for the most part now.

Nero and Heart have covered pretty much everything there is to say, but I just wanted to add - not every fruit is going to be super combat orientated, or even all that useful for combat at all, and nor do I think they are meant to be. DFs are bought with traits, which are ways of defining your character, not making them better at combat. Since its a shonen RP, many do have that effect, but its not necessarily their primary function.

Yeah, I think Bright said everything really well.

There are fruits that have no real offensive capabilities, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth taking. It all depends on how you want to define your character, and what story you want to tell.

Too many people on this sight have a tendency to lose sight of what really matters, and that's creating an enjoyable and interesting story with your character. We have a soft-stat system, there's really no need to get too tied up in optimizing every aspect.

With that said Chime Chime Fruit is a new addition, how it works in practice hasn't really been defined yet. Early techniques are always going to be very limited, and once you get to the higher ranks it's all a matter of trial and error (and what logically is possible with a given skill set). Some of the things you wanted the Chime fruit to do might have been possible at higher levels, but things like auto-hitting (or auto confusing in your case) are always going to be difficult to get approved.
