Kicking and screaming, Rei would be relieved to see Haruka emerge through the doorway to her rescue. Though it was relief which would be short lived as the plan of Aune was clear in her mind. "Get me out of here quick, where is Gin?" She would ask frantically as Haruka just smashed the lock off the cage through her own strength. Moving in to untie Rei whom was having a hard time sitting still. She so desperately wanted free, she knew she needed free. She wouldn't even bother to answer Haru whom was asking her what was wrong. The moment her restraints were off, she would be out of that cage, dragging Haru behind her as she looked to follow that woman. Fortunately she didn't have to go far as she could see the scene in front of them. The woman's burning clothes, and Gin standing there. "Gin, it looks like they tortured her." Haru would say in a soft and saddened voice as she overlooked the damages to Rei's face. The bruising, swelling and blood running from her mouth. Getting to her own feet, Aune would be experiencing the loss of her functions, at least the majority of them. Finding it quite laboring to breath, a unfamiliar pressure upon her which on most people would have had them wincing or showcasing fear or anger. What they saw on her face as she stood there was far more chilling, that same expressionless face. She was breathing heavier, but it didn't seem to get a reaction out of her. Those blue eyes of hers soon locking onto Rei who stood there defiantly with Haru caring at her side. "She's fortunate you showed up when you did. I was about to start pulling teeth and snipping fingers. She's a rare one, quiet and never said a word to sell your unit out." The coldness in her voice only ran a chill up Haru's spine as her own eyes would narrow at her. "Y-you Bitch!" She would shout at her, only getting Rei to put a hand over Haru's mouth to silence her. "Gin, she's going for the base again. Her plan was to lure the strong out and whilst you were away to slaughter the rest, a present for when you got back." Rei would hold a certain level of disgust as she looked to Aune who only stared back with a complete lack of care in her eyes. Haru and Rei would do as they were ordered, to go back and that they would do without question. Gathering the men and woman of their squad up and making way for the camp. Though this would leave Aune and Gin, he screaming at her again. He would go to attack her again with his blade, and this time she would look to dodge, baring managing to jump back in time due to the pressure she felt on her from his Haki. Though she would land with surprising grace as she simply glared back at him with those icy eyes. "It's finished no matter what. If the left hand as you put it, is right here, then where do you think the right hand is?" She would question, almost machine like, no joy or malice in her voice. Only adding to the creepy factor with her. "You just sent them to slaughter, commander. So while you fight me, your underlings are surely going to die. I guess it can't be helped, you're decisions have been bad since day one." She would point out, looking to drive the knife into his ribs as she coolly spoke, almost a matter of fact tone to her. "Your first mate has almost died based on your orders, her friend got captured after being told to follow us, and now everything you worked to protect will be destroyed because you decided to leave no one of worth to protect it. Of course now, you just sent two people who have no chance against the mysterious right hand to just die to him." With this said, she would just sit back and let Gin process this information. Perhaps now more than ever he would see something in her which made up for her lack of strength in comparison to the leader and right hand. |

Gin listened to the words that flowed- making sure his crew managed to get away and head toward those that needed help. Raising a hand slowly he grasped the blade and shifted into a Kendo stance- his rage was not explosive or out of control, it fueled him. "You're right. I'm a bad commander ... I'm a bad marine. Hell- I'm a bad friend." A flip of the switch and the blades flames doubled, exploding outward as heat seemed to ripple off the blade and air itself. "But there's a difference." His grin was false, but the amusement mixed with the rage in his eyes- "Unlike you. I have faith in my crew ... they'll kill your ally, just like I'll kill you. Then your captain. Then anyone else that gets in my way." Raising his blade slowly- before he flashed forward, his Haki pinning her as it helped him predict her movements at the same time. But atop it all- the power of the flames themselves seemed to have increased, atop the man's already enhanced strength- suddenly putting the woman in the position that if even one time it should land- loss of limb and third degree burns were a real possibility. The blade started with a vertical powerful chop downwards aimed at her right shoulder- the flames bursting out and extending the power of the slash by several feet forward and about a foot around the impact-zone of the blade. Should it hit- the flames would sear through flesh as the power of the strike would likely slice through it like butter. Should it miss, the flames would explode outward in an attempt to catch her in the flames to cause second to first degree burns across her body anyway. As it was, he was already faster than her- he had already noted that when she had barely dodged him earlier, with his pressure on her combined with his Haki to maintain her pinned- he was certain she would be no match for him unless she pulled something out of her bag of tricks to try and even the score even slightly. The flames of the blade rippling out- he watched the slash, trying to discover just what exactly she would try and do to deal with the strike. Meanwhile in the same way, the right hand quietly stood atop the nearby mountain- bow raised as he carefully examined the soldiers that lined the walls firing on his men. It was currently a tied battle and he had yet to hear from Aune, but he couldn't locate the stronger fighters anyway. Debating quietly- the man's eye seemed to zoom in as the pupil shrank and his eye gave off an infared glow. He just had to locate the stronger ones and end them from a distance- as long as he kept them away from him distance wise he'd have no difficulty dealing with any of them after all. Though that was the trick- to keep them away. Ginjo Techniques Right Hand Stats

Aune's expression wouldn't change as she simply looked on with lifeless eyes toward Gin. She showcased no annoyance or anything to how he took her words with the proverbial grain of salt and just seemed to feed off of them. There would be a slight twitch in her eyes as she took note of the man's sword erupting into flames as he went to attack her again. The increase of range on his attack through the spread of the fire. Knowing full what it meant, she would be forced to dodge again, hopping back. Though she wouldn't be able to escape uninjured as his sword would catch her in the right shoulder. Though her attempt to move back would save her arm from being severed, yet the deepness would still render it useless. Perhaps the most chilling aspect of this would be the lack of a scream or a yell from her. Even after the fact she would only look to her arm, seeing the wound which had been sealed shut by the intense flames and she would wear that same face. "So, you intend on killing me. Such a shame I am outmatched in a way that makes it quite plausible I will die here." Her tone remained matter of fact as she took a step back. Her posture showcased someone who was struggling to remain proud. Even int he face of death, she remained cold, emotionless and bearing her injury didn't change it. Instead she would just look back at him with those blue eyes. "Still, your efforts are meaningless. Life has never interested me, and it makes no difference to my purpose. The Boss just wants me to delay you as much as possible, even if it means my death." With a shrug of her usable shoulder, her cold eyes would lock onto his. "It's unfortunate, but then again, life has become such a bore. Let's just get this over with." With this, she would allow her Devil fruit to take hold. Allowing the transformation to go through, her skin becoming riddled with fur, her face elongating into that of an animal, hands and feet developing claws. Of course her clothing which had these features would split away from her form. What this left was her to be standing there, in a form that would have been intimidating to about anyone else. She had taken the hybrid form of her Wolf Zoan, and she would be looking the part as she had her hands up, hands spread and claws ready. "Howl...." Of course, there would go any and all intimidation from Aune as she would verbally say the word as opposed to enacting the action quite iconic with a wolf. The straight faced expression on her as she did it, had Gin not been so angry, he would perhaps see a slight similarity between her and a certain someone. Rei and Haruka would make it back quickly to the base, and both of their eyes were settled upon the chaos which ensued. The invading Pirates, and the fighting Marines. Neither of them could hold out for long before they would joint he fray. The both of them powerhouses for the unit in their own way would split up. Haru focuses on the Pirates going after the civilians. Immediately rushing in on a group which was looking to set a building on fire. She kicking the fire starter to the side before dispatching of the others in a single motion. He presence would get the attention of Kaji whom had his own fight happening. Managing to break away for a split second, he would begin to run right for Haru, waving an arm. Her eye;s would look up to meet his just before a splatter of blood hit her face. Gin simply looked at her with a look of pity mixed with rage, "What a pathetic creature you are ..." He stated calmly, taking a deep breath- he could feel his body straining to maintain so much focus on so many things at once. However, one more step was all he needed- and he would end this with a single step. Raising the bursting blade up slowly, a red- demonic glow seemed to slowly encompass him as the blade seemed to move with a will of its own, his Haki amplifying it's blade as he shot forward- his Haki allowing him to see through her counter and seeming to move around it in a slow-motion set of blurs. His blade, bursting in flame slashed through her with tremendous force as he murmured a simple sentence, "Red dragon rends steel ..." Before the explosive flames burst from the blade, and the massive wound he would have carved across Aune's chest- practically bisecting her as the flames engulfed her form- the stone around them shattering from the aftershock of the swing as the flames exploded outward coating the walls as he slowly lowered the blade- sheathing it slowly to quench the flames. "Perhaps in the after-life you will have more purpose to your life ... rest in peace, despite your horrendous actions, Aune." His tone was cold as he immediately took off- his body was strained but as he released the use of his Haki, and the demonic glow faded he was able to relax and rest his muscles and body- moving as fast as he could as he rushed toward the tunnels cursing under his breath- he trusted Haru and Rei could handle themselves. But there were plenty of other marines there that were not so lucky to have such strength. Grinding his teeth he cursed as he prepped the hilt of his blade once more- he just needed to get there, he could end the battle in a single instance with his Haki. He may accidentally hit Haru and Rei with it as well, but if it ended the battle in an instant that was alright- right?! Cursing he leap out of the tunnel exit- just as a massive explosion hit one of the buildings. Far from the town, Jira grinned to himself- the strong had come out to play just as he had decided to pick off the ants. One had been running toward the dark-haired happy one, he was pretty sure her name was Haruka- so he solved the issue. The arrow that shot through the air and hit with tremendous force, exploding on-impact. The man exploded like a watermellon in a microwave- and he giddily chuckled to himself as the building the man had been near as well as a large chunk of the ground also exploded with him, showering the area in unmentionables, rubble and dirt. With all things settled after Gin's attack, this would leave Aune down on the ground, a broken heap. The slash across her body showing quite the dire state for her health. The blood pouring from her mouth as she simply lie there, staring up with those cold eyes. Her chest rising with struggled breaths. Gin would of course say these words to her, and all it would do would get her eyes to settled upon him. She struggling to speak , having to spit the blood from her mouth, her wounds making it difficult to formulate the words. ".....A-Afterlife?....." She would ask coldly, almost as if musing over it as opposed to questioning it."Are my actions any worse than yours....?" Her weakening voice would ask out to him, clearly referencing the fact that she was about to die by his hand. "You might hide behind Justice.....but....with you types, you'll soon realize the true weight of loss in death..." It would be a bit cryptic, but the way she said it suggested she knew more than he would expect. Of course even if he wanted to question her about it, all he would get in response would be her attempts to hold on to life. On the flip side of things, for Haruka the next few moments would seem to come in slow motion. Her eyes settling upon Kaji whom was running for her, she could practically hear the arrow piercing through the air. That would be until it wedged itself into his back, the sickening sound of it tearing through flesh before becoming stuck with a light thud. The sudden realization which registered on Kaji's face, the split second look of fear before he was simply erased from existence. It was almost a magic trick within itself, to see him disappear into a mist of what he had once been. Eye's widening, She would drop to her knees as she simply looked at the explosion, a look of pure disbelief in her eyes. Fortunately for her, Rei would be nearby enough to intervene. Not allowing the archer to get another shot in. She would practically tackle Haru to the side and getting the both of them behind cover between two of the houses. Rei's back up against it, she would be keeping watch as the battle continued to ensue, doing her best to observe. Of course to her side, Haruka wasn't do well with this. Her friend, Kaji had just been killed. Left as a spot on the ground after the explosion, the look in his eyes right before it, the fact he had been running to her when it happened. "I think I know where that asshole is shooting from." Rei would state, after all, having the knowledge from her position in he crew. Scouting the weaknesses and vantage points over the base was something she had done, and given the angle the arrow had come in from, she had a general direction to work with. "Lets get him, we can't let him have the time to continue taking pot shots at the crew." She would rationally say, taking a moment to look back at Haru whom was miserably conflicted. She taking note to an almost primal look in her eyes. Edited by Shimura, Dec 30 2014, 06:39 AM.

He didn't even give Aune a glance at her words, "I do not hide behind Justice. No matter the pain that you experience through life- how you deal with it dictates if you are strong or weak." He glanced back at her just once as he began to move away. "I'm stronger than you, because I didn't give up when faced with pain. I didn't shut my emotions down ... I embraced the pain and grew from it. Rest in Peace." Before her body had landed, he had taken off- flickering at his top-speed as he slammed into the earth and rolled- once he had broken through he glanced at the explosion and his Haki sensed Kaji- and then the instant he simply disappeared. Slowly his eyes widened, until his teeth slowly ground together. "You son of a bitch ..." He hissed softly as he slowly turned, looking toward the man who suddenly gulped a bit. Jira felt like that fucker could -see- him ... but that was impossible. Only he could see at this distance. That was until Gin took several steps forward and he saw that look of rage- sweat breaking out on the cyborgs head before he quickly raised the bow and fired another arrow. This one shot forward, and was easily snatched out of the air by Gin, who's haki made it simple as he held it- before tossing the explosive away as it triggered far in the beach. Jira- to say the least, looked horrified as he slowly began to back-pedal, before his back hit something very solid. Slowly looking up- he met eyes with the massive man, Pirate Captain and the current leader of Cactus Island's slave trade. Wasteland Kaine- whom slowly grinned as he looked down at Gin, who's eyes narrowed. They were to far away from him to "see" so to speak, but his Haki made it possible for the most part. However- as the man turned to dust and sand- blasting forward and re-forming in-front of Gin, the marines eyes shot open as he leap backward out of range of a hand that shot toward him. Cursing under his breath as he landed lightly and watched the man warily in confusion. "What the hell ... A logia ...?" He mumbled. Meanwhile- Jira blinked, and finding his captain had confronted Gin, was suddenly much more confident as he grinned and slowly lowered his bow once more on the town. If his captain was going to deal with that monster of a boy- he could then level this place until Aune returned to help him finish up and capture the remaining civilians for slaves. Cackling softly to himself, a barrage of arrows were released, though these were not explosive they still caused quite the devastation as he grinned to himself in glee, watching them pierce through stone walls and cause spread destruction- the shafts of the arrows sticking out like pincushions over the stone walls and flooring. What Jira would see once he focused back on the town would be a silhouette approaching from down the hill. Of course had he the time to actually settle on and look at them, he would have seen whom is was, though the sound of a bullet ricocheting off the ground at his feet. The offender would be of course Rei whom had found her way into a tree overlooking the battlefield. Whether it would catch him off guard enough to look around in panic, his eyes if he went to settle back onto that figure, he would find that it was far closer than it had previously been, and his sights would find something that looked eery. The happy once, as he knew her as, Haruka was standing there, the dim lighting casting a ominous shadow over her face, her red eye practically glowing. She walking with intent as her head held low, gritted teeth as she looked absolutely primal in her posture. Of course another shot reverberating off the ground would bring his attention back to Rei's presence. She sitting in that tree and purposely aiming a bit off to hopefully toss his focus off. After all, having to respond to two people will be a bit bothersome, and she wanted to allow Haru to get her revenge for Kaji, having seen how this affected her along the way to finding him. After all, pointing the blame wouldn't be hard as he had been firing away once his boss had shown up. She watching out of the corner of her eyes to make sure Gin was doing alright, though mostly focused on how Haru was doing. No matter how he reacted tot he second shot, he would be given something to dodge as Haru would suddenly rush in. Throwing her right arm forward as she looked to just impale him through the head with her arm blade to end this without much of a fight, or perhaps for a bit of animalistic glee. In either case, it was obvious that not dodging this would be bad for his health and well being. Should be be observant in his dodging, he would see the look in her eyes, the intense look of anger on her face as she practically snarled at him. This fight wasn't going to end without blood, and one of them dead on the floor, and with Rei perched, that did give Haru a bit of an advantage unless dealt with. |

Kaine was hardly intimidated by the boy as his lips split into a grin at his words, "Aye kid. You've really gotten yourself into a mess ...!" He growled, slamming both hands down as a explosion of sand that flew toward him. Narrowing his eyes he spun and slammed the blade downward as a Haki shield materialized in-front of him- at the same time he leap backwards, the sand slamming into it and shattering it, but slowed and weakened by the defense as the man made a bit of a confused face. "The hell is that ...?" He mumbled glancing up at the man, "... A devil fruit that makes invisible barriers?" Slowly he raised a hand as the sand rapidly began to rise up and spin around him before he grinned slowly. "No matter. They're to weak to save you!" Hurling the tornado of sand strait at the teen who's eyes widened as the tornado rapidly grew much, much larger- cursing as he dashed to the side and rolled. The power of the winds trying to drag him toward it- he spun and formed the barrier once more, using it to support his weight once again as it acted like a platform, resisting the pull of the winds as it barreled past him. However, Kaine took advantage of the situation and suddenly re-formed behind him from the earth- rapidly turning to sand for some reason. Muttering to himself in annoyance, Gin felt the man appear behind him and with a flick of a switch- he heard the man scream in pain. He slowly smirked, "Bad luck for you ... though I have no seastone, flames melt sand!" Kaine cursed as he fell back glaring at the burning sword, "What the hell?! How is that on fire?!" He hissed, his flesh of his arm half-glass and half-burns as he fell back warily. Ginjo grinned and raised the blade a bit, hitting the switch as gas poured out and the flames turned white-hot. "How about you get nice and close, and find out?" Meanwhile- Jira was getting kind of pissed. Shot after shot was driving his attention from Haruka- before she was suddenly right on-top of him. Cursing as he backpedaled once more and an arrow rose up, firing at speeds she could handle. Even if barely- the issue was the incredible accuracy the man had, able to fire from tremendously ridiculous angles that would normally be impossible as the arrow fired while he was mid-flip. The arrow soaring forward in an attempt to end it by hitting the woman right in the center of the forehead- whether or not that would be possible however was rather unlikely. She was just as fast as he was, and seemed ... very, angry. Frowning a bit as he noticed how beast-like she was ... perhaps killing that ant from before had been a bad idea ... |

As Jira would dodge the attack Haruka had thrown his way, what he would see in her eyes wouldn't be anything normal. A look of irritation, a twitch of the brow, no what he saw was pure primal anger. With a growl through gritted teeth, her feet would slide across the ground from her momentum, kicking up dirt as she refocused on him. He taking his shot at her as he jumped back, a shot which looked to end her life. Though through instinct alone, she would managed to dodge, though with the quickness and unpredictable time he took said shot. She wouldn't be fully clear of it as she didn't have the ample time to react. It embedding itself into her left shoulder. Certainly it would be something that would have him grinning from ear to ear, though the fact it didn't even halt her would soon continue scaring him. Still moving quite menacingly, she would rush him again, lacking her finesse as she just looked to be the brutal hunter her people were known to be. With impressive speed, and the intimidation factor of ignoring her bleeding wound. She would look to attack again. This time looking to run the blunt side of her blade straight back, holding it vertically up. An attack which would stun him if it connected, and allowing her to follow it up. Her preferred attack being a horizontal slash across his stomach. Of course, Rei would also continue to be a factor, still watching from high above the fight. Rifle trained on Jira, eye's never leaving them as she focused on the task at hand. A frown on her face as she took note of Haru's injury, and it only worsened as she noted the way that she seemed to ignore it. Still, as she would see Haru going in for another attack, she would pop off a shot right behind Jira, the bullet connecting only a good few inches from his feet. Her intention to scare him into stepping forward, and hopefully off balance long enough for Haru to attack him uninterrupted, serving him up on a silver platter through just pure mind games. |

Jira narrowed his eyes as he was forced to dodge once more, the way the back of her claw shot at him caught him off-guard, normal people that got hit with a damn arrow to the shoulder went on their ass in pain. This bitch just kept coming- she barely stumbled! Cursing he spun to try and backpedal and block the strike- to find the bullet blasted his foot, or right by it. Launching him away in fear- and strait into Haruka's backhand as the clang of the metal colliding with the cyborgs head filled the air. He stumbled several times backwards, facing Haruka with blood dripping from the impact area's of the blunt damage to his cranium. A hand rose as he cursed and held his face in pain, not realizing Haruka was anything but done as her combination was about to be pulled off. Meanwhile, Gin seemed to have gained the upper-hand in the fight as Kaine was now weary realizing the boy could hurt him. Still, it relied entirely on that sword- he could still beat the boy with ease as long as he was careful. A slow smirk came to his lips, raising the injured arm as sand rushed and replaced the glass- but as it then re-formed into flesh the burns across his arm remained. "Not bad kiddo, you're the first person to hurt me since I ate that fruit ... but you're still not even close to being in the same boat as me, for power. You should turn back, I don't want to risk loosing a limb just encase but we both know if I get that sword from you- you're fucked." He raised his hands up a bit, "Why must we fight? Surely we can come to an agreement, I'm a rich man- and you marines have made plenty of deals with me before. Hell- we helped each other get rid of that annoying X-slave that was causing so much trouble for our caravans! Let's help eachother out again?" Ginjo's eye twitched a bit, "Marines ... have been helping you transport slaves ...?" He murmured in a slow-boiling rage, as the man nodded once. "Slaves, drugs, alcohol, poisons, weapons- you name it we transport it. That's why I have so much Beli- and Beli makes the world go around kid, surely you have something that you need, that you want? I can help you get that ... I can help you get anything." Slowly Ginjo's grip on the blade tightened as he raised it slowly, aiming it at the man whom was covered in the blood of those he had slaughtered over the years. "There is only one thing that I wish .. and a man like you, cannot help me." He murmured softly, twitching his wrist as flames exploded from the blade- roaring to life as they surrounded it and the man's eyes slowly narrowed. "Oh? What's that? A world of peace? A world of patience, happiness, love? It doesn't exist, boy. The world is heartless, cruel, and dark. You ether adjust to accommodate or you have no business remaining alive!" Ginjo slowly raised his eyes, glaring down at the man as he spun the blade slowly and aimed it at the logia wielder. "Then I'll have to just change the very world, won't I?!" Before he flashed forward, eyes narrowed as his resolve hardened- slamming the blade at high-speeds and power as the man cursed and fell back. Transforming to sand and disappearing, re-forming several feet away where his hand turned to sand and he lashed out- several scythes of sand lashing to rip the boy apart from behind- before a wall of flames clashed with it. Ginjo's cold eyes staring the man down, who sneered a bit at him. "Not bad, kid. But if you think you can change the world, you really do have another thing coming entirely ..." He stated coldly, before releasing another blast of sand as the boy slammed the blade in a powerful downward-swing. Flames exploding outward and met sand and glass that created a explosion in the center of the town. Ginjo Techniques

The clang of Jira's head off the broad side of Haru's arm blade was more than a little music to the ears of Rei who could hear it from her perch. Of course, the woman in question wasn't in a mood to enjoy the tune as her friend did. Practically ripping arm to the side, she would rip the sharp edge of her blade across this man's stomach, drawing a sizable wound into his gut. He would of course tumble back with a grunt, wrapping arms around his midsection in an attempt to cradle his injury. All he would get for his efforts would be bloody arms and soon as he would look up, the intense glare of hatred from this woman. She would never say a word, she would merely be standing their, snarling, growling at him as if he were prey in her eyes. It would be more than enough to get him to try and create distance again. Jumping back with a shot of his bow, looking to drive an arrow into her again. Though all that would happen would be that Haru would step to the side, allowing it to fly by her head as her eyes narrowed. In the same motion, she would push off hard with her right foot, kicking up a dust trail as she simply flung herself forward, springing like an animal. Pulling back her left arm, she would swing in an downward arc, angling it up at the last second to connect with his gut. A shot with enough force to actually lift him off the ground for a few seconds. Pulling back her right arm with that motion, she would throw a heavy right hand forward. In it's own right, this would have been devastating to be hit by. Though considering that she had her arm blade on said arm, the blade sticking a good distance out from her fist. To be hit by it would be disastrous. Fortunately, as agile as he was, he would be able to right himself in just the right moment to kick a foot off her knee as she leaned her body into her punch. Wrapping his hands around the arm as it came in with enough dexterity to mostly dodge the attack. Her blade would still graze his left shoulder, but it was far better than her hitting him square in the chest. Hitting the ground with a grunt, he would roll with gritted teeth looking up in just enough time to hear the gun shot. He would feel a jerk on his back and almost immediately he would know something was wrong. He looking up at Haru whom was walking slowly at him, as he would reach a hand behind him, he would know.....Rei had just shot his quiver of arrows. |

The clash of flame and sand caused the explosion that rippled around them- sending both of them skidding back a bit muttering as Ginjo shifted his grip on the blade and aimed it carefully at the man. The two stared one another down as sand slowly extended from the man's hand once more, hardening and once more turning to blades as he raised his hand and watched Gin carefully. Slowly he rose up, sand transforming and covering his lower-body before he exploded forward and took another powerful swing with his hand, "Scarabs!" He roared, the sand exploded outward into large chunks that took the shape of scarab beetles- shooting toward Gin like bullets. Narrowing his eyes, the boy ducked and dodged around them as his Haki amplified his natural senses into a vivid form of precognition. The man's eye twitched in anger, the boy was incredibly agile for someone so young and it was obviously annoying him as he snarled and shot forward- a hand raised as the sands exploded around him before slamming forward to send the boy flying. Unfortunately for him, Ginjo was half-a-step ahead of him as he slid doward through the weakest section of the sand, and as he did- the man's eyes slowly widened at the explosion of flames that burst underneath him. Causing a scream of pain as he rocketed forward, landing with a thud and roll as his legs appeared to be glass as they slowly returned to normal. Revealing burns that covered half of one leg, and the knee and thigh of the other as he ground his teeth, struggling to force himself back to his injured feet. Ginjo's skid slowing as he spun and held a hand to the ground, one knee down- the other leg behind him extended and his blade up and to the side as the flames flickered along them. "You're finished." He stated coldly, to find that the man was simply snorting in amusement, "You haven't fought a logia have you kid ... It's never this easy!" Slamming a hand down- suddenly the earth beneath them began to rapidly deteriorate, turning to sand as the very moisture began to be drained from it- causing Gin's eyes to widen a bit as he leap upward and grabbed onto a tree. He wasn't sure if this ability worked on anything it touched via distance, such as to the ground and then him- but he wasn't about to risk it as he hung from the tree warily. "Hmmm ... good instincts, but don't think you beat me yet- kid. You're good ... so I'll stop holding back ...!" Growling he raised his hands, as sand exploded upward around him and began to slowly raise him, forming and twisting into a large scarab beetle of hardened sand that he was morphed to from the waist-down as he grinned slowly. "Grand Scarab!" He growled, the twenty-foot tall monstrosity of sand and stone clicking its jaws at him as he hung from the tree, glaring up at him. "So the real show starts now huh ...?" He asked as the men from both sides fled, screaming about the "Bug monster". Ginjo Techniques

Jira's eyes were ones which read the pain and fear he felt, knowing feel well the trouble we was in. It wasn't enough that Haru had inured his left arm, taking away his ability to draw and fire as well as he was known to do. It was another that the raven haired hostage they had just shot his quiver from his back, damaging much of his ammo. To make matters worse however, the battle to their side which raged on would erupt into something he wanted nothing to do with. Eye's widening at the Sand Scarab which his boss had practically turned into. Of course with his opponent walking toward him much like a slasher villain, it was more than he needed to see before he stumbled to his feet and bolted for the nearby forest. Noticing this, Haru's lips would curl back, revealing her teeth as with a growl, she would be quick to follow him down the hill, catching up to the wounded man quite quickly. While as Haruka was merely going off of instinct, Rei would likewise see what was happening between the fight with Gin and the boss. Though her reasoning for running were different. One would be the natural one, to keep an eye on Haru and assist her from the sky. The other, and perhaps a large driving factor, with the sand ripping apart the general area, the tree she was upon was beginning to disintegrate beneath her. "Shit!" She would shout, getting to her feet and running down the length of the limb she was perched on. Though in the panic, she would lose whom she was to keep an eye on, leaving Haru to herself as she got to a safe distance, leaping from tree to tree to keep her vantage point to eventually relocate them. Haruka would seem to catch this man as they got to a safe distance away, and the fashion in which she let Jira know she was behind him was far less than pretty. Pulling an arm back, she would just club him in the back of the head with a lariat from her right arm. This dropping him to his face and letting him skid a few good inches before he was able to stop. Rolling to his back, he would only be able to look up in fear at Haru whom continued to growl down at him much like a rabid animal. "Kaji.......killed....!!!" She would growl out, her tone loud and deep. Her words long since passed on what would be a sophisticated sentence. It was merely a guttural attempt on language, and only reinforcing the primal state in which watching her friend die had put her in. Jira perhaps now more than ever would know the penalty for his actions, but how long was it before he knew that it was just her and him now. Sure that did equal the odds, but with his arms and bow gone, could he overcome her in hand to hand combat? He would get a chance to try as Haru would charge at him in a less that pretty style. She was just looking to maul him in any form she could, and with him grounded, he did seem quite vulnerable. |

Ginjo glared up at the man whom had used his power to create a large amount of sand as well as turned much of the ground around them into sand before absorbing it all into the compacted, sand-creature. Slowly raising the blade he aimed it at the creature as he flicked the switch, and flames roared to life along it once more. "Well, let's get started then- big guy ..." He commented simply, before his eyes hardened. Grinning slowly as he raised it, "If you're that big ... I wonder if you can keep up." He stated coldly, before disappearing. The man's eyesbrows slowly raised, before his eyes widened even more in surprise- he couldn't keep up at all as the boy appeared on the massive scarab's leg. He grinned up at him as he didn't just appear and stop, already dashing up strait toward him as he cursed and the sand of the scarab exploded outward to form a barrier just in time for the flame-covered sword to bounce off it- surprising Ginjo whom flipped back and landed on the sand. Having to rapidly bounce back several more steps and leap into the air as the sand he was standing on tried to grab and stab him multiple times as he narrowed his eyes slowly, "Tch ... seem's it won't be that easy." He murmured, the voice echoed out from the scarab as he glared at him as the barrier slowly lowered- watching him as he slowly fell back toward him. "The hell was that ... what kind of fruit did you eat, boy?!" he growled, first barriers- now he was teleporting?! Ginjo smirked softly, "Ah- so you couldn't keep up ... good. Makes it that much more effective ...!" Spinning through the air as he fell, he spun through the air as the blasts of sand shot past him again and again before he flew strait toward the man once more. The barrier re-formed once more, but this time Ginjo's eyes slowly narrowed before he growled softly- "How strong is your sand? As strong as Iron? As strong as Steel? I'll slice it open like a fruit ...!" He threatened, the blade bursting with white-hot flames as he brought the blade crashing down. The flames and heat exploded over the shield, before the blade began to slowly slice through the Iron-Like sand- causing the man within's eyes to widen slowly. "That's not possible ether!" He snarled, releasing a massive blast of sand that shattered his barrier- but clashed strike with strike as glass was sent flying in every direction, shattered as it exploded. Wisps of flames lingering in the air as sand fell like rain around them- Ginjo skidding back along the earth, several cuts scattered up his arms and a few nicks on his face. The large scarab stumbled back, revealing it was now abut fifteen feet tall from the sand used- Kaine remained where he was but now held splotches of glass, sand, and blood as he glared at the boy angrily. "You little bastard ..." he hissed softly in rage. Techniques Used

Jira's eyes would widen as Haru rushed in, he unable to do anything as she practically punted him. A hard kick right to his rib cage which sent him sailing off the ground. She running very much like a powerhouse through these woods, smirking evilly as she did so. Jira would let out a yell as he found himself hitting a tree ribs first. It would leave him to collapse to the ground and once more and finding himself looking on at Haruka who hadn't even slowed her pace, still charging at him. In a panic, he would do what he through was the best course of action. Rolling to the side, forcing himself through the pain in his ribs, he would seat himself against the tree, the opposite side of her. He expecting the tree to protect him, it seeming like a sort of sanctuary in a way. Much to his surprise, as his breaths would become slow and labored, it would seem to work. His eye's darting from side to side, only to spot the dark forest around him. For a brief second he would consider the notion that perhaps she had gone away. Though it would only be for a second as he would soon find an arm wrapping around his neck from the other side of the tree. The sound of it cutting through the wind as it did so. He could hear the grunts of Haruka whom was using the tree between them as a way to punish them, squeezing her arm around it, with his throat pinned between them. Labored breaths would become very panicked as Jira forced himself to his feet, kicking and gasping for air. Eye's full of desperation, he would finally let his gaze fall onto something useful. Reaching a hand behind him a ways, he would grab that arrow still sticking out from her shoulder. With a rough tug, ripping it from her, causing her to growl in discomfort and relinquish her hold on him. This would leave him to fall to his hands and knees on the other side of the tree. Gasping for air, and fighting for his composure. Though before long he would gain it as Haru still seemed occupied with the wound in her shoulder which was now once more bleeding. This would give him ample time to recover, as his eyes would settle on the arrow, realizing his position. He had a chance at the moment with this, his one shot against her. Though crafty as he was, he knew if he could hit her, and get the arrow back, he would have a reusable source of ammo. Even if he missed, so long as the arrow wasn't lost. It was his only shot, after all. |
