It was several weeks after Haruka and his own little trip, and finally had returned back as Tetzou took his leave. For some reason the shark-man seemed very determined to avoid direct contact with the pair and it obviously troubled Gin whom had his hands on his waist in thought with a frown. Glancing toward Haruka he smiled a bit, his newly crafted blade across his shoulder's as he lowered it and leaned against it in his hand. "That reminds me, I still need to make your weapon, miss survivor." He teased her gently, his smile evident. The weeks had been hard on her, but he had seen how quickly she had adjusted and succeeded, growing stronger in the harsh environment as time had passed. Stretching a bit he raised a hand to her, ruffling her hair a bit as he stopped by the wall of the main building, "Let's get back in and settle ... showers and a hot meal sound really good." he chuckled a bit, eyeing Raven as she brought up the rear at her own pace as he pushed the large gate open with a grin as he entered- being welcomed by the men and women of the crew waving and grinning happily back. They were glad their real superiors were back after all, Tetzou was not an easy man to get along with- but at least it had ensured their safety while they had trained. Rolling his shoulders he moved forward as he waved to Haru lightly with a smile. "Let's spend the rest of the day relaxing. You've been through more than enough the past two weeks, a day of true rest and relaxation is just what you need to make sure you have a full, flawless recovery." He nodded a bit, before heading up on his own- figuring Raven and her would want a moment as he headed up the stairs and toward his own room. Pushing into it as he stretched and rolled his shoulders, noting how the room had the scent of not being opened to fresh air for a fair amount of time. Pushing the windows open and turning the lights on as he dropped into the tub- not even bothering with the shower head. He just wanted a long hot soak, the forest was not a fun place for hygene after all. He spent the next several hours just soaking in the hot water, and then relaxing on a cool soft bed instead of the hammock he had grown used to. To say the least, compared to the last few weeks his room felt like heaven on earth. Finally as the dinner bell rang he slowly sat up with a yawn after his nap, and tossed a shirt on open-chested, scratching at his chest as he meandered down the stairs- before he smelled something amazing. Blinking a bit in surprise and confusion at the fact they had such a good chef, before the thought occurred to him on how hard Haruka had worked toward her ability to craft foods that were truly amazing- and slowly he grinned, moving toward the kitchen- eager to see if it was indeed her whom was cooking something that smelled so tasty. |

To be heading back for the base was something of a miracle for Haru who couldn't wait to get back, shower and show off what she had learned. She knew that this experience had helped her immensely, as well as given her the space she needed to get over the sight of the burning priests. She would of course be walking behind Gin with Raven trailing behind a little ways. It was something that bugged her as she could only note the distance the woman kept from the two, a distraction would would only get Haru to snap around with a look of bewilderment at what Gin said about her weapon. She giving an audible nod of her head in response before turning back to watch Raven. Of course as they would reach the walls, Gin would talk again, this time not startling Haru who would seem to be overly thrilled about this idea. "That does sound nice" Her glee could be heard in her voice as she was all smiles. She would follow Gin's own glance back to her friend, she now being close enough she could see what was taking her so long, Raven was carrying a large pack on her back. Frowning a bit at this, she had considered offering help, but then again she knew how the dark haired woman got over such matters and instead opted to following Gin inside the walls, making sure they let Raven in close behind. Naturally, the two of them would be greeted with wide smiles and cheers, something Haru would offer back with a few waves. Raven on the other hand could be seen shying away from the large crowd upon entering, keeping to the sides as she worked her way around. Frowning, Haru would cut her way through the crowd to get to her friend, panting her on the shoulder when she was close enough. "Raven, you can use the shower in my room, no one will bother you there." Haru would suggest with a level of thoughtfulness which made her glow on the inside, almost proud of herself. Though the sly grin which was upon Raven's face when she turned her head just enough to look over her shoulder at her. "You just trying to get me naked in your room now? You naught cat.." A mischievous tone to the cold woman, and the equally iced over look to her face except that grin, it was enough to cause Haru's cheeks to burn bright red. "I am not!" She would nearly shout in a defensive tone, pouting at the perverse direction this got swayed into. Raven however wouldn't chuckle, she would only shake her head, grin still on her lips as she just moved along, and this only caused Haru's cheeks to burn even brighter. Going back to her visiting, as well as seeing Gin off for his moment of rest. Haru would do the same, giving Raven a bit of time before she would walk in her own door. Her eyes immediately going to the bathroom door which was wide open, a mountain of steam pouring from it. She wouldn't have to wait long before her friend would emerge from the bathroom, hair a ruffled and damp mess, her skin still wet, as evidenced by the moist spots in her clothes, or rather....Haru's clothes. A look of confusion as well as childishness sadness would hit her as she saw Raven parading around in what was normally her bed time attire. Her shorts and a tanktop get up, the only problem was that Haru was taller than her, and this meant that the tank top didn't fit Raven properly. Safe to say that Haru got more of an eyeful than intended and it only had her blushing more as a sight many would die for was seen. Picking up on the embarrassment that she felt, Raven would grin knowingly as she walked over and hugged up onto her, showing a far more mischievous and flirtatious personality than Haru was used too. "Isn't this what you wanted, naughty cat?" She would ask in a sensuous voice with that icy undertone. Haru feeling her body against hers, would only cause her to wriggle and complain. "R-raven...please..." Haru would whine, still trying to wiggle free. Though the other woman would only shoot her a dark look. "Damn it Haruka, you know that's just a codename, why do you insist on using it outside of missions? Just call me by my actual name." Having lost her mood to toy around and embarrass her friend, she would get up and away from Haruka and move to the table to the other side of the room, lazily seating herself at it. "I'm sorry, Rei. Just a habit I guess." Haruka would weakly call out, still not looking in her direction as she got up and moved to take her own shower. Rei would sit outside patiently, allowing the personal space to be kept. As she would finish, Rei who still sat at the table, a lit cigarette in between the fingers of her right hand would look to her as Haruka got dressed. "By the way, I brought back some meat from one of my kills this morning. Figured you could use it for one of your recipes tonight." She would say in a matter of fact tone, only causing a shy smile to hit Haruka who proceeded to get dressed faster to see what she had been left. naturally she would be instructed to go for the kitchen as Rei would need to get dressed, she meeting her there later. Over the course of the next few hours, they would be spent in the kitchen, Haruka doing what she knew, preparing a feast for the crew, giddy to see what they would think. Of course, she also had Rei seated on the counter next to the stove, constantly being fed samples by the overjoyed Haruka, eager for feedback. The sight that Gin would see possibly being amusing to the man to see Haruka stuffing a riceball, or at least Haruka's attempt to recreate the old woman's recipe into Rei's mouth, but in the end just smearing it across the cold woman's face as she weakly fought back. Ginjo was welcomed by the site of one of her meals, his grin seeming to grow even larger as he would enter and run his hands through his hair. Blinking a bit at how Raven was being force-fed a riceball slowly grinning. "You two are cute together .." He commented simply, chuckling as he pulled a chair up and sat down- not seeming to realize that with what had happened a few moments earlier, it'd likely make it all the worse for poor Haruka. Raising a hand he would start to put the eastern-styled foods on his plate- blinking a bit as he eyed the two girls and slowly his grin grew and he waved a finger between them as if connection the pair with an invisible line. "So when did this happen? Before or after Raven constantly jumped you from behind?" he asked innocently- trying to keep a strait face as the corners of his lips twitched repeatedly, eating the ramen and blinking a bit at how damn good it was- being rather surprised. He hadn't expected her to pick up the idea so quickly but she was becoming quite the chef rather surprisingly. He had more expected her to be her normal cute airhead self while wearing an apron and running around the kitchen- though he had to say this was a much more pleasant surprise all in all. Munching on the food happily he would eye the girls before shaking his head- he missed Dahlia, but he knew she had her own life to handle as he did. Shaking the thoughts free he instead stretched a bit and leaned back, looking to them as he arched a brow. "Well now that we're all human again, how do you two feel?" He asked curiously as he eyed them cynically, checking their old wounds and such. "Anyone need new bandaging and so forth?" He intertwined his fingers as he pondered the fact of how much focus he had poured into his medical research- he was starting to near the idea of using medical pastes that would allow him to heal wounds much faster when applied ... and with how often both them and himself ended up injured he could certainly see the use in such a concept. Rubbing his head he sighed a bit before glancing toward the window. His eyes got a bit distance as he considered their time here, "We'll rest up for a few days, do light training only to keep edge. Then the three of us are going to be heading in to end the pirates that have taken the island, Rei- do you still have the intel on their current position on the island?" The question was sincere, he relied on the girl heavily when it came to such things. She was quite good at contacts and the like- he never asked how or why, it was part of her skill set she needed for the goal she had after all. He rested his chin in his palm as he eyed them as they ate, figuring he'd let them answer before continuing on with the rest of his thoughts. |

Haru would turn her head around to smile as she now blindly continued to shove that riceball down Rei's throat, the latter of which was currently waving for help from their superior, unable to even mutter a word as her mouth was full of rice. Fortunately he would help, though it wasn't anything physical, instead mental as he commented on the two being cute together. Immediately this would bring a frown from Haru who would release Rei for the moment, allowing the woman to recover. It would only get worse as he would ask when this happened between them, and it would only get her cheeks to flush yet again. "No...Sir, I mean Gin, it isn't like that..." She would start sheepishly, stumbling her words in embarrassment.Unfortunately for her, Rei would soon be wiping some smeared rice off her cheeks as she leaned in, malicious intent on her mind. "Not like that? So was this before or after you told had me strip in your room?" A grin was plastered on her face, and it only widened at the open mouth horror she saw on Haru's face. "REI!" She would whine loudly, much to the other woman's amusement who would only pet her on the head in response. "She really is such a deviant...." She would say softly to Gin, perhaps letting him see for the first time the more "fun" side to her personality. Though the matter of fact tone, and overall coldness to her outward exterior made it sound more true than an exaggeration. "I am not!" With a stomp of her foot, Haru would proceed to have a small fit much like a child as she looked between the two, looking like she was about to cry from the betrayal. Of course it wouldn't be long before her heart sank deeper as she looked to what Gin was eating. "T-that was.....my snack for later...." She would say in a defeated tone, only earning a stifled giggle out of Rei. "I brought in a fresh kill from the wild, cleaned and ready for her to cook for tonight's dinner. Everything is actually sitting on the serving table in the dining area." Rei would explain whilst watching Haru pout. The both of them would shake off the need for medical attention, after all, Rei wasn't one to let Doctor look her over for her own reason. As well as Haru managing to do rather well for herself, wordlessly the two would shake their heads, showing that they were fine, if not a small bit disappointed in Haru's case. Though it would be quick to disappear as she simply turned around and began to get to work preparing herself another helping of it. Showing that determination of her's and earning an "Aw" out of Rei who appeared to further be poking at her, only furthering her fun at Haru's expense. Though it wouldn't be long before it had came down to business, and this was where Rei would be very serious. "I can have an update for you tomorrow morning, granted my contact isn't dead from either of our enemies. Though, I doubt they'd going to move from their spot randomly without cause. They've been held up there for a solid month now, gathering supplies to return the favor at you guys." She of course would be referring them attacking the pirates to take over this area which now acted as base. She would leave out just before sunrise to check up on that, giving her contact the signal to meet in their usual spot. Though she was certain nothing had changed due to her not immediately being alerted to it. Still, that was for later, and for the moment, the three of them were trying to rest. With a grin, she would motion with her thumb behind her to the double doors leading out to the dining area. "Now, if you liked those noodles, I'd suggest you try what she prepared for the crew. It's an old family recipe of mine, which I let our new little cook try out." Hopping down from the counter, she would approach Haru from behind, looking over her shoulder as she cooked, holding back a laugh at just how focused Haru was on what she was doing, not even noticing her it seemed. "She's quite the chef, actually outdid what I remember from my childhood on that dish. Ah well, dish up before the crew devours it all, aye Captain?" |

Ginjo chuckled a bit at how shy and flustered Haru was getting as both he and Rei took turns at her, before he finally would pat her head a bit. "It's alright to like her, Haru." He stated simply, before he blinked- "Ah, sorry. I'll get you some more ingredients later so you can make plenty more." He grinned some as he blinked a bit at how seriously Rei took his question, nodding as he quietly listened to her. Rubbing his chin a bit in thought. "I doubt they'll move, but they may have more defenses then before- that bastard supposedly had a left and right that were pretty strong and I don't want to deal with even more of a challenge then that in the form of more soldiers for him to use." Shaking his head with a sigh, he was at least happy both girls seemed to be healing well as he dusted off his hands and cleared his throat a bit- pointing to the tip of his nose. "Rei you got some uh ... rice." He commented on the rice still smeared on spots on her face, chuckling a bit to himself as he nodded a bit in agreement. "Aye, let's get some before it's all gone- knowing the crew it's possible. Haru, come out when you feel like it." He grinned a bit as he gave a slight wave, moving forward longitude Rei as they headed toward the door's. Once entering into the dining room he immediately grinned at the smell that wafted from the room. The other soldiers were eagerly swarming the room as well and he carefully slid between them all before scooping up a plate and carefully filling it with a bit of everything, a bowl as well if necessary for the meal. Sidestepping carefully around people before he grinned and landed with a light click, glancing about for Rei through the swarm as he took a cereful bite and blinked in suprise before a slow grin spread along his lips. Shaking his head in amazement at how fast she was learning, he would make sure Rei got out alive and un-trampled before motioning for them to head back to the room so they could eat in peace and quite. Heading back he'd hold the doors open for her- always the gentleman as he entered after and plopped down, setting his food down as he grinned a bit. "Haru- you outdid yourself. It's really good!" Taking another bite he hungrily dug in, obviously hungry for a hot, well made meal and Haruka was giving just that it seemed. Content so he was- he forgot about the information and angst of the idea he'd soon be at pirates throats. For now he just wanted to relax, enjoy his friends company, the quite, the excellent food- and be happy. Bloodshed and the job could always come later after all- he had no idea of the ship that bore a single stoney-faced woman, heading toward the shoreline. |

Haru could only continue to pout as her two friends continued to "bully" her with the "liking Rei" deal. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with it, after all, Rei was someone that probably already had a long line of followers in that department. Though Haru just didn't feel that way, and wasn't taking well to the joking aspect of the conversation. She would only fidget and whine as they continued on her, looking utterly defeated, even as Gin offered to get her more ingredients. Of course as business moved along, Rei would listen with a straight face to the Captain regarding the move they were making. "Well, my information confirms that, but even my sources don't know anything about the right and left hand. My info is extremely tight even regarding the head guy. No one wants to sell them out for anything, and all I got was from that lackey you apprehended some time ago." She would respond with that professionalism, that icy and emotionless glare in her eyes. She didn't mess around when it came to missions or her job, she was quite serious even if she was such a tease to Haru in her freetime. Her eye's never left Gin's she making strong eye contact during this and throughout the entirety of this conversation regarding the pirates. "It bothers me slightly, but my options are simple, rely on my sources or physically go and stake out the area and see if I can find anything out myself." The way she spoke, she wasn't one that would be afraid to do just that either, and it wouldn't be the first time she has done something of the sort. After all, it did come with the territory, and fortunately, Haru's attention was on making food, or else she would have had an immediate no to the latter part of her idea. Of course, the seriousness would be diminished once Gin pointed out the rice on her face, she looking to Haru with those eyes. She would wordlessly wipe her face clean before she got up with Gin, the both of them leaving Haru whom would be humming peacefully as she finished up her meal. Rei, unlike Gin would make a small plate for herself, following the man through the crowd as he made room for the both of them. Dishing up a modest helping of the sliced of meat covered in sauteed onions and peppers. Following Gin back to the kitchen, the both of them would notice that Haru was seated at the table, grinning from ear to ear as she looked down at her bowl of Ramen, and a side of fried rice. A fact that wouldn't be lost on Rei whom would make her way to the stove and get a helping of said rice herself which she added to her plate, as well as grabbing a pair of chopsticks which Haru had left for her. Seated side by side with her friend, she would eye the near childish level glee which radiated off Haru's face as she slurped her noodles up. "Yeah she did, and she really needs to eat more than just that." Rei would scold her in response to Gin mentioned how well she did on the food. To her point, she would snatch up a small piece of meat with some onions and peppers hanging from it between her utensils which would then be help in front of Haru's face. The woman staring at it in awe and bewilderment before Rei started tapping it against her lips and motioning for her to open her mouth. "Don't make this difficult, you force fed me so many samples, and now it's your turn." She would sternly say, only getting Haru to slowly open her mouth to accept the treat, she taking her time as she chewed, her cheeks adorably puffed out as she had a mouthful. The happy look on her face, as well as the muffled sounds of approval would be heard, only earning a giggle out of Rei who pushed her plate between them. "Here, we'll share, okay?" Of course, the action would only bring the two to look at Gin whom had sat through the whole thing, the two practically acting like a couple, and Haru's gaze would shy away as she knew how this looked. |

Gin grinned, and it only continued to grow as he watched the two bicker and whine respectfully. Finally as it came down to the point where Haruka was blushing he snickered a bit and shook his head, "Haru- you need to eat more than Ramen, she's right. At least add vegetables and meat to it alright?" He aimed for a middle-ground, "You need to stay healthy if your going to keep growing." He nodded a bit before he eyed how she was feeding the pouting- and then happy, cat. Slowly he had to place a hand over his mouth and pretend to go into a coughing fit facing away from them to hide how hard he was laughing at the pair- they acted like a married couple after the past few weeks together. Shaking his head in amusement after he settled down from his 'coughing fit' he grinned as he settled back down and started to eat at his own meal before arching a brow toward Raven- his tone suddenly much more of a commander than a standard goofball. "No, Raven. I told you when I took you in- you will not be doing missions alone again, not under my flag. We'll trust your sources, and if things go sour I'll ensure we get out alive." He stated sternly as he took another bite of food, leaning back and stretching a bit. "I know you're capable, but I'm not putting my family in danger of death for some information of all things. We'll make due and trust your contacts." He nodded a bit before then eyeing Haruka and smiling softly, "After all, Haru would get lonely without you." He commented idly as he stretched before finally pushing himself slowly to his feet as he rolled his shoulders a bit and slowly pushed himself to his feet as he smiled to them a bit- "For now let's just enjoy the meal and relax. We'll worry about it all later- I'm going to go get seconds." He grinned as he headed back out the door, meandering down toward the meal as he began to pile food up on his plate, before something twinged in the back of his mind- the image of an arrow stabbing into his back and kidney. Spinning immediately he felt the air from the blade as it hissed past him and slammed into the table. Cursing he spun in time to see the window open- and nothing but darkness outside. Narrowing his eyes- he glanced at the arrow in time to hear the soft 'click' his eyes slowly widened as he spun and leap forward, to slow. The explosion rocked the building as the men screamed in fear as they scattered, there Gin was- slowly stumbling before falling to a knee. Panting as smoke rolled off of his arms- revealing that he had stood his ground and his movement was not to run, but to place himself between his men and the explosion source. The Haki barrier shattered, it had at least shielded them- but his arms he had used to guard the remaining flames had scorched him blood red. Slowly he winced as he lowered his arms that began to leak white blood cells- "Never ... a dull moment." He mumbled as he eyed his wounded arms and glanced around, it hurt like a bitch but they were only second degree at the worst. "Is everyone alright?!" he questioned, getting several shaky groans and nods of agreement as he stared at that window- the presence was gone. But damned if he wished it wasn't- that arrow was not something a standard archer would have, and the closest mountain or hill that was tall enough to hit this high was miles away- whoever could do that with a bow- was a problem. A big one at that. Techniques Used

Rei's eyes would harden at the way that Gin spoke, not that he was standing as a commander, it came with the territory. Though the command didn't sit well, it would be soothed over a bit as he would make sure to mention it had nothing to do with her ability. Still, it bugged her to a degree, as she was used to being a long wolf, as taking too many people would ultimately give away position to the enemy. Gin would go on to mention with a grin that Haru would miss her, in the worst case scenario that something happened to her, a very real threat whilst she was out on patrols like that. Something that would only get her to look toward the still eating Haru who stared contently down at her bowl which she continued to eat from. He would leave for seconds and her icy eyes would remain onto her. "Would you really? Miss me?" She would ask quite seriously, only for Haru to consider it for a brief second before giving an exaggerated nod of her head as her mouth was full. It would only bring a grin to Rei's face as Haru's eyes never left her meal. "Such a child..." she would laugh as Haru only shrugged her shoulders and continued to eat happily. Though, the both of them would be rocked by the sudden eruption from the other room. A shaking which overtook the building, and unfortunately sent Haru's Ramen into her lap, causing her to whine to the brink of crying over this. "What the hell?!" Rei would shout as she looked in the direction of the explosion, the dining room. "Shit!" She would curse before she grabbed Haru by her arm and practically yanked the teary eyed Haru from her seat. The both of them rushing for the room, only to burst in through the doors and see the mayhem. "What happened?!" Rei would shout as she looked around frantically. Haru would of course soon join her as her own eyes surveyed the destroyed dining room. "Gin!" She would practically shriek as she rushed over toward the Captain. She taking a note of his injuries, her hands hovering over the wounds, she forcing herself to do anything but touch them. Rei would soon join her at her side, looking on with a grimace at this man. The both of them shaking their heads as her asked about everyone else. "Sir, everyone is just shaken up, you seem to have gotten to worst of it." Rei would report, having checked on the majority of the crew. Of course Haru would be looking on with absolute dismay in her eyes. "We need to get you to the infirmary." Her voice showcased a clear case of worry, concerned for this man. "Rei can keep an eye on things, lets get you patched up." She would say with a frown, pouting if he refused. |

Gin seemed to relax as he heard everyone was alright- nodding a bit as they mentioned he seemed to have taken the blunt of the damage. "That was the point of me taking the damage ... aye." He chuckled weakly- wincing at the damage as he noted the smoke rolling from the edges of his burns- as well as his shirt that was also smoking, despite his burns he patted the flames and embers out with a simple wince. Coughing some smoke up as her made sure the assessment of his men were fine was right, when he was satisfied he smiled apologetically to the girls as several of the soldier's worriedly started to get up to assist the man- following Haru's orders before he held up a bright red hand. His eyes keen on the hills. "No." He stated at Haru- but instead he looked at Rei, showing he was actually saying no to the order of Rei looking after things. "Take the five you usually take for scouting, their the fastest and best experienced. Go track that son of a bitch. I'll be fine and so will the men- but we can't just let them think they can run after that bullshit, as fast as you can Rei- but you better be careful. Do not engage directly, but make it clear you are chasing them and try and scope out an appearance and and abilities if you can. Give it ten minutes at the most- then head back here, I want some basic information and the message we don't take this shit laying down sent- not injuries or dead." He stated firmly, before slowly- weakly wincing as he rolled his shoulders a bit and eyed the wounds- nodding to Haru afterward. "I need you to watch the rest of the men, Haru." He stated apologetically as he offered a weak smile- "But I promise I'll tend to my arms first, before anything else- alright?" He smiled, he would have ruffled her hair but he knew it would just get white blood cells in her hair and her hair in his wounds- seemed counter productive. Instead he moved forward and headed down the stairs as he eyed the damage- if he had his paste this would be much easier, but instead he was limited sadly enough. Shaking his head he sighed a bit as he moved quickly, heading strait toward the medical wing were he opened the door carefully- using a weak Haki barrier hovering between skin and metal to not injure himself further. With it done he then entered- to be stared at by his doctors whom he was now nearly superior too in knowledge. His answer was short, "Second degree burns- entire lower arm of both- mid bicep to fingertips. I need them cleansed and then get some antibiotics, gauze and medical tape. I need leather covers too- I don't have time to let them heal properly." There were nods as the men and women bustled about to quickly get him treated, grinding his teeth as his arms were doused in alcohol- before he then watched as the medicinal paste was applied to his skin and gauze wrap followed with medical tape and wrap to hold it in place. The leather sheaths that then went over them were connected at the chest and back, covering both arms entirely with a belt across his chest and back to maintain it as he grumbled and hopped up- it had been about ten minutes. Rei should be back. Moving forward he opened the door and headed forward, entering the main room in search of Haru- he glanced around at many uneasy faces but they seemed glad he was alright, getting some pats on the back as he glanced for Haru or Rei, figuring they'd be with the men though it could go ether way he supposed in all honesty- Haru may be waiting by the gate and Rei could not be back yet ... he'd have to keep looking and see. |

What Gin would find when he got back would be a very fidgety Haru who was pacing back and forth from the last place she had seen Rei. Ten minutes had passed, and to reflect on it, one who seen her during this time would easily be able to comment that she was very much on edge the entire time. After all, one of her best friends had been sent out on a mission after their Captain was attacked, and that friend was still out there after she had been given orders and a strict time to work within. Rei wasn't known for disobeying orders often, and this wasn't one that she would ignore considering the dire nature of it. Naturally, Haru's mind would race with an explanation or two, none of which were good. So naturally when Gin would look into her eyes, whether her spun her around or she just saw him naturally. He would see them watering, and her expression very much a sorrowful one. "She's not back yet." She would choke out, very much so worried about this. Of course, out in the woods it was a completely differing story, not one of sorrow, but of survival. Having done as she was told, Rei gathered her team and they would race off into the darkness, using the tree tops to get around and keep an eye on a large area around them. They spreading out, as Rei would shout as a command loud enough to be heard. Doing just as she was told to allow the enemy to know they were in pursuit. A chase which would lead on for some time, before the group would all seem to converge into an eery clearing among the trees. Though it didn't stand out immediately, once a large light was shown onto them, it soon became known that something was wrong. Rei at the center of it would be heard gritting her teeth. "Shit...they planned for this, fall back!" She would command quickly. Though the sound of gunfire would soon rain down upon them. The culprits hidden by the brightness of the light and the first two bodies hit the ground soon after. The rest, Rei included would managed to make it from the clearing, but soon thereafter as they split up yet again, Rei could hear the blood curdling screams of her team one after another. This would only cause her a great deal of mental anguish, fear mixed with anger over what was her leading these people to slaughter, even if it was based on her own orders she received. All she new was she needed to make it back to Gin and the others to report this. leaping from tree to tree, she would race through the woods as she heard the last scream of her troop. She knowing she would be next, she simply would land gracefully on a thick branch which supported her weight effortlessly. Kneeling, she would allow her senses to simply listen for anything they could use to determine if she were being followed. She never even saw the bright glint of light behind her, a sword splattered with blood. |

Gin's eyes narrowed as she said that she had yet to return, grabbing his blade as he moved forward, "Set someone you trust in charge, Haru. I'm going out to get them." he stated as he dug his heels into the ground- before exploding forward as he narrowed his eyes. Bursting through the air and out the already open door as he dashed at his top-speed as he flew through the forest practically- his Haki reaching out in search for whomever he could. The feeling he was getting made him beyond wary- there was nothing. As he dashed along he landed with a thud as he noted the scent of blood and his stomach churned, there lay one of the scouts dead. Slowly he narrowed his eyes and reached out, he couldn't sense any other human life signatures. Fearing the worst he leap upward, quickly scaling the tree as he ignored his arms complaints- now that they were treated it hurt but thanks to the gloves it was fine for the most part. Examining the area carefully he noted the branch cleaved in half and ground his teeth as he spotted the blood and black hair littered across the branch- but no body there or anywhere near. Cursing under his breath, he was already beating himself up- he knew he hadn't made a bad call in the circumstance, but he had made one as a general whole. He hadn't expected them to turn and fight back, especially with such a short "chase". Moving forward he leap upward and once more started on the tree's- checking in all directions, locating- or trying to locate, whomever was still alive. There were none. Grinding his teeth he rubbed his face slowly and sighed before he glanced toward the direction of the main outpost once again. Slowly hauling himself up he knew he couldn't track them- or take them all on, on his own. He had to find a way to ensure he could get a firm grip on the entire situation, there was no body so Rei was still alive. He just had to make sure they got to her before they decided she was no longer worth the effort of keeping her in such a way. Narrowing his eyes as he leap forward he landed with a soft thud against the stone as he would look to Haru and shake his head slowly. "They took her. She's alive, but we won't have much time." He stated- obviously cursing himself internally as he ground his teeth and looked toward his soldiers. "There are five bodies out there ... but we can't go get them yet. Not till we know it's clear. Everyone is on high alert, keep the civilians safe and make sure nothing gets in or out- report any activity to me or Ensign Haruka!" The men saluted, but looked pale and unsure as they rushed off to do as ordered. |

Haruka would be beside herself as Gin would go out to scout for the group, her pacing only increasing with each passing moment. Of course, once he got back, his news was not welcomed as it would only cause Haru's eyes to widen, her complexion to become even paler. A hand coming up to shield her mouth as she couldn't hold it back anymore. Having been on the verge of crying since the explosion, now with Gin hurt and Rei missing. Haru couldn't help but let the tears come as she would let out a muffled sniffle or two. "W-we can't let them....we have to save her." She would managed between breaths as she began to fully cry. She knew she had to remain a pillar of strength, an example for the rest of the crew. Though considering the events of tonight, as well as some of the conversation. The statement of would she miss Rei if she were gone not even ten minutes ago, still fresh inside her mind. She would force herself to straight up, and try and look like she was beign strong, but she couldn't hide her feelings. The red eyes and light whimpers were a dead give away. She could only look on at Gin who would either speak to her or the unit some more. In either case, once it was all said and done. This would leave her to move from this spot. She wandering around the base aimlessly as she tried to gather her thoughts. Running into multiple walls until she would find herself a nice quiet corner to just collapse into. To let her feelings all out, her sadness and anger culminating as she rested on all fours, fists clenched and teeth gritted. "I'll make them pay...You're going to be fine, Rei." She swore to herself. Fortunately, as Gin had guessed, Rei would be alive, but far from fine as Haru had swore. Elsewhere on the island, the raven haired woman could find herself locked away in a cage, bound to one of the walls in a poorly lit room. The stone walls allowing the fire of the torches to barely illuminate the area. She had come to a few hours ago, and since then had been a victim to interrogation. Her face was a testament to her toughness as she remained quiet, her lips busted, nose broken, face swollen. Her face too would be stained in tears, as well as her own blood. Her eyes merely looked out from the bars to spot her tormentor, a young woman with two defining features. Her extremely light blonde hair, so much so that it almost appeared silver, as well as those piercing blue eyes. The woman, obviously pirate had never spoken more than a few words to Rei during the process, and she never seemed to flinch. No matter how loud Rei screamed, she didn't seem to take any pleasure or pain from these actions, she was merely acting on orders, like a machine. "Just who are you?!" Rei would demand, tired and beaten to the brink of just desperate for anything good to come from this. None o her information gathered had mentioned this woman, she was obviously stronger than Rei, and that worried her as she knew what it could mean. The Pirates were getting some of their heavy hitters in and could she be one of the infamous two, the right or left hand? The woman wouldn't respond, she would only narrow her eyes as she continued to glare on. A pure expressionless face which only showed no remorse. "Ms. Aune!" A man would yell as he barged into the room, panting loudly as he bent at the waist, resting his hands on his knees. "We-...." This would be all that he said as he would see her turn her head just enough to look back at him, her eyes meeting his and almost immediately he would freeze up. With nothing but a look, this man had looked like he seen a ghost, like he could sense the anger she felt for not only the interruption, but the information he divulged. Rei's eye's would widen at this, the name which sounded far too familiar to her. "Wait...Aune Rintala?!" She would shriek, showcasing one of the rare looks of fear she wasn't known for. Then again, anyone who knew of this woman, and to be looking at her in person would show the same face. She was known for the bloodbaths she leaves behind with almost no sign of her being there in the first place. Survivors would comment on the expressionless face, and the lack of any words, not even a clearing of the throat or a sigh. Rei's knowledge would only get Aune's brow to twitch in frustration and this man to leap back. "I-I'm sorry!" He would begin. "Kneel...." She would finally say, her voice monotone and yet somehow authoritative. Having no choice, he would do as he was told, getting to his knees in front of Aune whom would only turn and with incredible speed and force shove her hand through his gut. All four fingers with the exception of the thumb going in. He would of course let out a shriek as Rei would struggle against her restraints. From here she would only rip upwards, tearing through his flesh with an eery amount of ease. It was almost like she was cutting through, like she had...claws? As a result after the fact, she would only let his body crumble to the floor, he looking like a giant wolf had a go at him, the four claw marks in him, and his blood spilling out. All Aune would be seen doing after was raising her hand, now covered in blood and slowly licking it clean. Rei's eye's showcasing far more horror than one could ever know. |

Gin placed his hands firmly on Haruka's shoulder's at her words- "We will." He stated simply, a single promise as he slowly closed his eyes and took a steadying breath. "No matter the cost." He murmured before turning and carefully getting the other marines in order- watching Haruka move off by herself he didn't comment and let the girl be. Instead he began snapping out orders left and right, everyone was grim- and beyond all else, they were pissed. Gin especially as he moved forward and clicked the blade carefully before after about an hour everything was ready. Gin carefully traced Haruka's trail before he would place a hand on her back gently- "We're ready. Let's go Haru ... let's go get her back." He stated firmly, he would help her up gently as he then turned and took a steadying breath before leading the way back to his men as he eyed the large battalion of soldiers. His voice was simple, to the point- his words even more so. "These bastards took a member of our family. I don't have to tell you what that means ... let's go. We have a door to knock on." He growled simply as he followed the information they had gathered- moving toward as the soldiers fell in line after them- checking pistols and rifles as they moved into the deep tunnels of the ancient sewers of the city. Ginjo's eyes hardened as he moved forward, at the front alongside Haruka. The drip of water filled the air- before Gin felt the disturbance, the killing intent. Raising a hand he growled as a barrier formed- and bullets pinged off it, flying left and right to the shouts of confusion from the groups attackers before them. They of course moved to flee, it was about five of them armed with rifles. Of course, that was quickly lowered to three- as Gin appeared in their midst- wielding a blade that seemed to burn with the flames of hell itself as they screamed in pain- the red-hot blade slicing through their bodies and igniting them with a gasoline-empowered explosion at the same time sending them flying as his hand snatched out and grabbed the nearest one by the throat. The other two ran but were quickly removed- by Haruka or the soldiers Gin was unsure- he was busy strangling a man about twice his size above him. His words were cold as his eyes hardened slowly, "Where the fuck is my crewmate?" He hissed in a tone that spoke volumes as the man weakly flailed and tried to pull the iron-like grip of the man off, starting to choke from lack of oxygen as Gin released him to collapse with wheezing gasps- the red-hot flame-coated blade slowly sliding along the mans legs made him scream in pain and topple over immediately. "The deeps! In the deeps! It's just further down and to the right- plea-" A swift backlash of the blade was all it took as blood splattered through the air. Ginjo's face was cold as he moved forward- the dead body collapsing with a dull "thud". Beginning to signal the rage and killer instinct the so called "boy" truly had. Techniques Used

Haruka wouldn't need to be told twice, having been allowed to vent her frustrations, her sadness which became anger. A welling deterimination would be inside of her, and as Gin spoke to the men after helping her up and escorting her there. The men and woman who were used to seeing her smiling face would be treated to a hardened scowl. Rei was gone, and she intended to get her friend back. Of course, as they would be preparing to leave, a familiar face would be shown running up to catch up to her. "Haru!" Kaji would call out as he did so, getting her to stop for only a split second as she glared at him. "Don't worry about the base, Haru. I'm going to be here to make sure it's safe, you go and get Rei back!" He would assure her in an effort to make her feel a bit better. To a degree this would work as a slight smirk would form as she nodded her head at him. Of course in the sewers, the first attack would go in their favor, thanks to Gin. Yet she wouldn't let that go to waste. She taking note to the two men trying to run away. One of their soldiers would shoot one of them dead, though she would instead tackle the grunt to the ground, drawing her arm blade to his throat. Practically sitting atop him, making sure he was going no where, she waited to see what Gin would get out of the man he currently held. Though once her captive became useless.....well Haru wouldn't have that same killer intent of Gin. To look down at another life, to see the complete fear in his eyes. She for a split second would picture Rei looking back at her, and it would only cause her heart to sink a bit. Though they couldn't help anyone running around whilst they were here. As such, she would draw back an arm and knock him out, ordering some of the men and women behind her to just tie and bound him to whatever they could find. She would simply move on, trusting them to this as she followed Gin. "So they knew we were coming, didn't they?" She would ask quite bluntly, merely a step behind him. Though, Haruka wouldn't be too far off as that woman, Aune currently sat in "The Deeps" as that man had said. A Den Den Mushi in her palm as a man on the other end shouted their dilemma with the approaching Marines. Her eye's would never flinch as she simply hung up, a blood curdling scream being heard from it just before that, and she would get to her feet. Rei still in her cage could only look on, watching as Aune seemed like she were going somewhere. She desperately wanted to ask, to demand to know just what it was that she was planning to do. Perhaps, the woman could sense it to a degree as she would stop in the doorway, turning her head to look back over her shoulder for a split second. Just the look causing Rei to shudder from where she sat. "I'm going to give your commander a home to go back too. Your capture was just to lure them out, and now I'm going to massacre any marine or civilian I find back there." Rei's eye's would widen, immediately her mind going to Haruka whom Gin could have forced to stay behind if he came to rescue her. "But why!? Why do that?!" Rei would choke out, clearly horrified as she simply watched the woman walk away. Choosing to no longer acknowledge Rei whom was bucking against her restraints, doing anything she could to get free and chase after her, to stop her. Deep down, she knew why she was doing this, it wasn't much different than some of her assassinations. A target whom is broken is easier to get a jump on, and to mentally break Gin, Haru and herself would make the three of them easier prey. Granted she didn't have to do much now to deal with Rei as she was already caged. Rei would only scream as she tried to get any allies attention in the area, she knowing that they had to act quick and stop Aune from slaughtering the masses back at the base. |

"Of course. They also probably have a backdoor to escape from." He stated cooly, raising a hand as he shoved the door open- revealing three separate doors. One of which screaming was coming from- it didn't take him long to slam a shoulder into it and send it flying off it's hinges as his eyes carefully traced the tunnel- a side-door that was open revealed Haruka. Whom was desperately making noise, he narrowed his eyes as he spotted a single bit of fabric flap around the corner- flashing forward as he left Haruka to help Rei as the blade in his hand lashed out and flames suddenly exploded from the hilt and shot toward the tunnel- overwhelming the entrance and catching the tail-end of her top aflame. His eyes narrowed as he saw her- and then they seemed to go white with rage as his pupils shrank. "You piece of shit ..." He hissed, as his energy suddenly exploded outward- slamming into the young woman- whom did not get knocked unconscious, but certainly suffered an immediate blast of sheer fear and pressure as she stumbled several times before turning. Ginjo didn't waste time- he flashed forward as the blade coated in flames erupted once more in a wave of flames- again and again as they lashed over the tunnel- burning the woman as his rage seemed to be the very thing that pressured her, making it hard to breath- to function. At the same time however- even if he stopped her, he couldn't stop her plan it would seem. Though he had halted the main powerhouse, the other half of his battalion shortly began to panic- and fall into battle formation as the sound of bullets filled the air. The firefight for the civilians lives once more filling their minds as the guards of the civilians wielding blades and crossbow came out to assist as well- without their leader the civilians and marines had a chance, but it was still already looking grim. Gin's hardened face was obvious as he called over his shoulder- "Back to the town! Fast as possible- I'll handle this bitch ..." He hissed as his eyes narrowed on the woman whom was removing the clothing from her body that had been burned. "I take it you're his left hand ... the Intel we got said you had a Zoan. I suppose it was accurate." He stated coldly as he raised the blade slowly- aiming its point at her as flames rippled around him and over the blade. "You're going to have a hell of a time, bitch." He hissed simply as he watched her struggling with breath- unused to having her very ability to breath and perform basic functions shut down to such a degree- unsure of what the young man was doing to her. But she was unable to make eye contact, as he sneered a bit in rage- raising the blade and slashing it down as another explosion filled the tunnel as the flames and gasoline blasted forward once more.
