I'm totally gonna hound the forstbites someday, if only to use some NW NPCs.

@Swan: It's a character from Magi, I think.

I think Izuru should get a free trait, a 25 kilogram gummybear, and a harem of slaves for him to do with whatever he wants. Maybe even add on 5 bottles of really good merlot red wine.

Also, am I the only one who thinks that Dream's signature character looks like a fem-boy whore?
I agree.

And no. No you're not.

How about this, invite Rayne to the WG meeting, if he declines or quits, hound the bastard with every admiral.

Nexus's avi is Judar. AKA Bitchboy.

Correct.

Must have been staring hard at the signature to believe something like that (who knows, she probably thinks things like that constantly)

Why not a multiple hounding Zand? 2@once

But this is pretty spammy, anyone got any thoughts on the 1000SD thing?

So what you're proposing is that we should reward reward our members for being rewarded, thus rewarding the act of being rewarded itself?

No Speak, what we are saying is we should reward a member for investing a lot of time and showing a lot of commitment towards their character. How many years has it taken Izuru to get to where he is? How many SL's has Rayne been in? How many posts? It's a lot and I can tell you from experience, persisting with a character the way Rayne has with Izuru is worthy of a reward (That is if it is Izuru that gets there first). If you think it is such a doddle, reaching 1000SD, try doing it yourself.

The entire purpose of the system as it stands is that going beyond 500 SD just renders you more net stats, and more importantly- more fortune. Which allows stronger and a much larger variety of techniques, which in high-level combat, is key.

Adding more rewards atop that makes the difference in power even greater, which is what they already nerfed once (Making SD only worth so many SP as you get stronger.), why would they buff it now by giving high-SD char's something else to remove later instead?

The system rewards early growth and punishes later-growth, the benefit being that those that stick through that are of the few who actually do so, and for that reason are generally considered the strongest on the site on-average, not competing against builds that hardcore counter them. (Aka: An Anti-Logia/DF build like Kamina.)

Izuru's reward, anyone's reward, for hitting high SD is the reward in itself- because as you said, try doing it yourself.

Whilst I do get what you're saying and I mostly agree I think giving one last gen trait or even a prof trait for hitting 1000 would be a cool salute to a character who's really made it far. It would at least allow folks with a 7trait DF to get the best Haki if that's what they want.

Just think it would be a cool addition for the character's at the top, especially now that the New World is open.

Gino - I'm not saying it's easy to earn 1000 SD. I understand very well how difficult it can be to stand by a single character, and I am tremendously grateful to Rayne for his loyalty and devotion to the RP. However, my previous remark stands.

SD are the reward the staff gives you for your loyalty to the site and the RP. The more time you spend on OPRP, and the more activity you generate during the time, the more SD you get. You're treating it like reaching 1000 SD is itself the challenge, and deserves a reward. The reward, however, is that same 1000 SD.

Certainly a big congratulations are in order, but giving people more rewards for having accumulated a great deal of rewards creates an upward curve in their growth. It's like when really rich people earn more money in interest on their investments than they spend day to day: they're being rewarded money for having money. They're getting a good thing for having a good thing.

A responsible middle-class investor may accumulate money over time. He is spending wisely and netting a positive sum, so he continues to earn money, which itself is a reward. However, because he does not have enough money, he does not earn a significant amount of interest. He is not rewarded for being rewarded.

If we reward people for being rewarded, we end up with the situation above. People accumulating more slowly are still being rewarded, but the people who accumulate larger SD pools, more rapidly, are both being rewarded and being rewarded for achieving this reward. It increases the rate at which the gap between both groups opens up.

The fact is, at 1000 SD there's nothing for you to do but earn 100 more, and 100 more after that, and so on ad-infinitum. You'll end up eventually having retardedly high-rank techs, and a tech for everything. Because there are no more traits, your core character will not change, but both your situational adaptability and your depth of power will grow. I feel like this is a realistic vision of late-game progress.
