In Hitsuji Archipelago, on its southernmost island known as Haiiro Island, there existed a shop that was having an exhibition. An exhibition of what? Well, it was flute, but not just any flute. This flute had been covered in solid...gold! People were swarming this shop to look and admire at the amazing piece of work, with some coming to have a chance at buying it. Others, however, came to this island to try to use the opportunity to do illegal things. One of these people, was not Noah. Noah was here because he was hearing about some amazing soup that was only available here. Yep, nothing illegal in his mind, he just wanted to try this soup for himself. After sailing at sea for what seemed like forever to the twelve-year-old, he needed to take a pit stop and have some fun, and this island was the closest to him. Once he arrived at the dock he looked around and noticed that not many people were there. Oh well, he'd just go into town and make friends with storeowners and whatnot. It was always good to befriend people who owned stores, because discounts! Yes, he was in it for the discounts, of course the friendship still counted but, them discounts were a nice little bonus. Walking off of the docks he'd pass an elderly couple and politely ask if they knew the way to the place that 'supposedly' held some delicious soup, to which they sadly replied that this was the wrong island. "Wha!?" He replied in shock. He had done all of this travel, and he was on the wrong island!? But...he didn't want to island jump just to eat some soup, he wanted something else to replace it then. Until his stomach reminded him that he was in fact hungry. Very hungry actually. The couple then told him of a fun little event going on in town that involved a golden flute. Wait...a flute...made out of gold? That could buy him as much soup as he wanted! But alas, he knew he wouldn't have enough money to buy it. It was probably gonna go to some rich old lady who liked to buy expensive things just to make fun of the people who couldn't get it. But still, he had to go and see this flute before it got bought, so off into the town he went. And after minutes of travel and humming a tune to himself, he arrived. He didn't even need to look for the shop with the flute, there were tons of people crowding it. The fun part though, was that there seemed to be some people who were readying to fight, much to Noah's delight. And, just like he hoped, a full-on brawl broke out in front of the shop. Sweet, all of this fighting was amping him up so much, he just had to get in on it. So, he sprinted towards the group and eagerly dove in. And so, chaos insued. So much, that marines had been dispatched to break it up before the windkw showcasing the flute had gotten broken. It got intense really quickly: someone had gotten their teeth kicked in, some lady got punched in the vagina, and a dog was forcefully stuffed in his owners' pants...and these were just the things that Noah had done. What he didn't do though, was throw himself threw the shop window...someone else had done that. The shop owners yelled and screamed as the brawlers took the fight inside and began trashing everything in the shop. Hmm, the place seemed to house antiques, too bad. They were getting destroyed left and right, but Noah had his eyes on something else. Through all of this mayhem, the golden flute was still standing. No one had bought it yet, no one had touched it yet...because he had landed on it. Luckily for him, he didn't break it, probably because he wasn't a big boy yet. He took the flute and slowly made his way out of the shop, but not before kicking a few people in their family jewels. Once he had made it outside he looked to his left and noticed that about five marines were coming to quiet the crowd. Pfft, like those weaklings would work against that big mob of death. But then, he looked right, and effectively began to panic. Why? Because there were tons of marines that way. More than five...maybe by what, a hundred? And he had the flute in his pocket now, so if they earch him then he cou,d really be in some trouble. "Nope, not going to jail for this" He muttered to himself as he looked forward to spot a ladder leading into a second floor window. Well that seemed reasonable enough, so he dashed towards the ladder and began climbing it. Apparently it made him look suspicious of something, because no twelve-year-old would ever climb a ladder leading to a second floor window unless they were guilty of something. Hmm...wonder what he'd do once he got in the window? Edited by Blockhead, Dec 20 2014, 12:16 AM.

Zander Satoru would step from his little boat after landing on the south side of the island, his baby blue eyes scanning the little town before him carefully while the sunlight illuminated his dirty blonde hair that had been cut short. Walking into town his black extended tailed jacket open in the front revealing a black beater shirt underneath as each step kicked dirt outward that covered the bottom of his pant legs in brown blotches from the dirt sticking to his pants. Closing in on the shop where a lute made of gold was on display, he would notice some commotion out front of the shop and he would readjust his grip on his single iron rifle as he watched a fight that had broken out in front of the shop containing the golden lute. Zander watched slightly amused as these people fought over the lute before he heard a crashing sound and exhaled deeply, he had heard the sound of glass shattering many times before. This sound meant that in front of a crowd in broad daylight somebody had completely lost their marbles and attempted to remove the gold from the store without paying for it. A smile crept across Zander's face as he had seen the boy running to a nearby later and he thought to himself while watching the marines approach "well it seems somebody has stolen my plan to an extent but seems to have not had such good luck at it, oh well I might be able to use this to my advantage if I am careful enough." Walking over to the ladder as the boy was only midway up Zander would raise his right leg off the ground so it was level with his left kneecap and kicked outward at full speed at the ladder leg. With a loud cracking sound the heel of his foot smashed through the leg causing the ladder to start to lean to the right before it started to fall to the left.

Well this certainly had been an entertaining turn of events. Chika wasn't sure when the last time was that she saw such a fun display. Across the street from the little shop, and just to the left of it, was a two story building with a flat roof and a good view without the risk of the crowd, which was exactly where Chika was laying, nibbling on the end of a strawberry. Resting behind her head was a little wooden box with a few more strawberries and several pieces of chocolate, her little enjoyment after her journey. Leaving one Blue for another was always complicated without a crew. Sometimes Chika paid for her ride, but this time she'd felt a bit more 'adventure' was in order and had stowed away on some ship with no idea if it was a pirate ship, a civilian vessel, or what. It certainly hadn't been the fun she'd imagined, hiding in a crate in a store room, sneaking out periodically to steal an apple, or a ration, or if she got really lucky some kind of bread. She had barely eaten enough to keep herself alive really and of course the moment her feet had touched land she had gotten herself a cheap room, a shower, and this little box of goodies by her head. Of course she had also heard about this golden flute and just had to see it, but the crowd was irritating, hence her choice of rooftop. But then all the fun started. Chikako Haruna sat up almost immediately, pulling her hood up as she did so to hide the details of her face as she watched the excitement. She really had no intent of getting involved, until the most fascinating thing happened. The boy who had actually managed to get his hands on that golden instrument was on his way up the ladder when, Chika would nickname him Tall-Dark-and-Mostly-Handsome, simply walked up and kicked the ladder out from under the kid. Now this deserved a closer look. The little box of goodies disappeared into the girl's cloak as she made her way to the roof's edge and slid down a pipe to the ground, landing in an alleyway where she could get a view and stay out of trouble. Of course it hadn't occurred to her that sliding down the pole would give a good view up her little skirt, not that she would have cared if the thought had occurred to her anyway. Keeping the hood of her cloak up, she peered out of the alley, just to the left of the ladder, to see how things would progress between the boy and Tall-Dark-and-Mostly-Handsome. "This could be fun..." she muttered to herself, once more nibbling noisily on that strawberry. |

Marines had now gotten close enough to spot the kid out, which he didn't have time to care for. Noah was simply looking for a way to escape with his now trusty golden flute, but he had been unprepared for what happened next. Well, it happened like this...some douchebag broke the damn ladder!! Who the hell does that, to a kid no less!? And he was almost close enough to reach the window... No time to look down, he quickly scrambled as fast as he could before the ladder slowly leaned to its left. Marines and civillians were looking up to see what would happen, which was stupid since someone could've just as easily come and balanced it so he could keep climbing. But no one did, so it seemed like he'd just be left to fall and hurt himself. He wasn't a big fan of that idea, and the window was just out of his reach, so he did what any sensible kid would do...he climbed like there was no tomorrow. The ladder began leaning left, and Noah continued to head upwards. He knew time was not on his side, but he'd beat it until it complied and let him live through this shizz. Then, before the ladder was to completely fall, he had a very stupid idea. He didn't even care that it was stupid, he knew exactly what that meant. In his mind, what was about to happen was far more worse than what he had thought up, and what he thought up was pretty farfetched. There was a gathering crowd of marines behind him, and they all had agreed that the kid had the flute. He didn't want to fall left, or break the flute, so his idea was rather simple. He took both of his hands and planted them on the brick wall of the building before pushing himself backwards. He used all the strength he could for this, he didn't need to screw this up anymore than it already was. Instead of going left, the ladder now went left...and backwards. Anything behind this ladder was gonna get hurt, which sucked for anyone who still hung around to beat their fellow man into a bloody pulp. He knew this was gonna break the flute, so he had to do something before he landed. He quickly glanced around and saw a lady with a hooded cloak on, well surely she could be nice enough to hold onto the flute for him while he figured this out right? "Hey lady! Do me a goodie and hold onto this!" He called to her before reaching into his pocket and throwing the flute at her, though he made sure it was catchable. No need to break a valuable piece of beauty because someone can't handle what you throw at them. Just seconds after he threw it, he jumped away from the ladder. He went right, as the ladder was going left, and effectively landed on a small squad of marines. They weren't expecting anything like that, so it caught them completely by surprise. The ladder landed with a thud, luckily rowdy civillians and innocent bystanders were there to cushion its fall. This had turned out...rather opposite of how Noah had originally saw it going. He shook his head a couple of times before slowly standing to his feet. Seeing as how his adrenaline rush was wearing off, he remembered to check himself for any glass from when he had gotten thrown into the shop window. He checked out okay, so he looked around. Everyone was staring at him with disbelief in their eyes and jaws reaching the ground. Yep, a kid had not only stolen a golden flute, but he had also knocked out four marines and injured a bunch of people. But hey, doesn't the word 'accidentally' apply here? -------- -------- Meanwhile, the marines who had seen Noah throw the flute to the lady proceeded to make their way to her. She could give it back, or she could keep it. The choice wasn't hard, yet the consequences sure could be. The few marines who either were making their way to the lady or jawdropping at Noah's destructive antic were making their way to the male who had kicked the ladder. In their eyes, if he hadn't kicked the ladder, this would've been avoided. They might just want to talk, though with what happened...that was a slim chance. Zander watches with amusement as the thief attempts to scramble up the ladder but scowls rather deeply as the golden flute gets tossed to some patron he couldn't see, he then shakes his head pinching the bridge of his nose and shaking his head as the boy had leapt onto the oncoming marines and Zander scoffed in pure amusement at his initiative and stupidity. Looking up he would notice three marines walking toward him in the confusion as the rest gathered around the thief, using his right hand to reach behind his back while he faced the approaching marines so his warm fingers wrapped around the cold iron of his throwing knives. In one swift motion he would pull eight throwing knives from the leather sheathe that hung in the middle of the of his back on a black leather belt, bringing his arm back around Zander would flick his right wrist sending four of the iron throwing daggers at the chests of the four marines who were advancing toward him. The iron knives would bury into the marines chest piercing two lungs ones heart and the throat of the last marine killing all four of advancing marines, dashing forward over the four dead marines Zander would reverse he flick of his wrist sending the last four knives away the first three was at the ones advancing on the person he assumed had the flute while the last was aimed at the knee of the male thief who had seemed to be the cause of his headache today. The three marines were struck in various portions of the legs and fell to the ground gripping their wounded limbs as Zander attempted to scoop the girl over his shoulder without slowing in speed and dash down the alley in attempts to escape.

The last thing Chika had expected was for the kid to be stupid enough to throw the flute to her. And she didn't even think it was stupid because she could just run off with it, but because it startled her and caused her to drop her strawberry with an audible curse as she caught the flute out of pure reflex. She looked down at it, and back up to see the marines who were now making their way towards her. They certainly didn't look friendly, and Chika certainly wasn't expecting them to be. She kept her hood up, hoping to maintain at least some form of anonymity by keeping most of her face hidden within it's shadows, however she didn't have much time to waste. She tucked the flute away at her back, in the waist of her skirt to keep it in place while she worked. She turned her hands that the wrists almost seemed to meet, hand over hand as she drew her throwing knives. There were three coming at her and so only three would be needed. Yet as she drew her knives, she saw them fall before her as it seemed Mr. Tall-Dark-And-Mostly-Handsome had stepped in. She slipped the knives away as quickly as she had drawn them, only to be even further surprised as she was scooped up and thrown over the man's shoulder. "Eep!" Chika simply couldn't help the exclamation as she hadn't been expecting the move and had to grab wildly at the flute and her box of strawberries and chocolates to keep from losing anything in the scoop. Unfortunately while she had managed to secure the flute in her hand and hold it close to her, her fingers had fumbled on her box of goodies and lost their grip, causing the wooden box to clatter to the ground and spill her treasured fruit and chocolate all over the ground. "Dammit!" She made a mental note to inform Mr. Tall-Dark-And-Mostly-Handsome, now in her mind nicknamed Mr. Tall-Dark-And-Rather-Grabby, later that he now owed her replacements. But clearly he was after the flute and this demand would have to wait. She'd have to keep a hold of the flute for her own sake and make sure she at least had a bargaining chip with the man. She even stifled her urge to draw her knife and threaten the man only because she had no idea just how armed he may or may not have been. Only thing she knew for sure was that he carried knives. "Where the hell are you taking me?" It was about the only thing she felt comfortable asking him, though she made certain to keep her voice low enough that any marines following wouldn't hear. No sense in those bastards knowing where he was taking her... she just hoped where he was taking her wasn't going to have a bloody end. |

Noah looked back and forth as the four marines that he had landed on slowly made their way to their feet. The other four marines that had stared on shook their heads and began to slowly make their way towards Noah. The other four marines did as well, which only served to beg the question...how was he gonna get out of this? Luckily, a distraction had occured. The douchebag who knocked the ladder over had suddenly decided that killing the marines would have been better than simply disabling them. Weirdo, he could've just thrown a bunch of knives to their knees or guts or...something else than kill spots! It was so unthinkable that he instinctively hid behind one of the marines. You know, just to make sure this guy didn't end up trying to kill him or anything. And then, he totally tried to kill him! Well, not really, but it was proof that this guy was unstable! Apparently he had thrown a knife at Noah, and by pure luck he barely moved away in time for it to miss him...and hit a marine in the shin. The marine quickly dropped to the ground in pain and, with the surrounding marines eyeing him with concern, Noah quickly darted away from them. Six of the eight marines gave chase, with one staying behind to take car of his wounded comrade. Wow...and all he wanted to do was own a golden flute. When he began to run forward he noticed that three more marines were now on the ground, though they were simply wounded instead of killed. Good, at least this maniac had some self-restraint at least. But there was something that he did that caught Noah completely off-guard. He scooped up the lady whom he had given the golden flute to and began to take off. Crap, it was a thief trying to steal from...well...a different thief. Well not if he had anything to say about it! "Get back here!" He yelled to the man as he began to chase after him, which in turn led the marines to follow. He had gotten that golden flute fair and square, no way was a weirdo killer like this guy gonna just steal it from him! -------- -------- The alleyway was a two-way thing, only way to go was straight or backwards. Once Zander and his hostage (Chika) had made it out of the alley they'd be met with a fairly empty street. However, it wouldn't stay empty forever, as not only were marines chasing them from inside the alley, the people who saw Chika with the flute were now making their way around the buildings to get to her. The docks were a way off, but if Zander was fast enough he might be able to avoid the oncoming traffic of marines and angry mobs. There were a few houses ahead, a bar, a warehouse and a a few more small stores. He could ignore them and try to escape his pursuers, or he could try to hide out in one of the places until he could plan a proper escape. Either way, he'd have to choose quickly is he wanted to keep the golden flute for himself. |

Zander would continue running as he carried the girl with a smile, he had started with a good head start on those he heard following but as the chase continued he mildly gained ground putting a larger gap between him and his pursuers. When he reached the end of the alley there seemed to be a large crowd of civilians making a sharp right turn Zander would continue dashing as he got strange looks before making his way into a nearby building, after slamming the door behind him he would tip a wardrobe in front of the door before moving upstairs with only a glance behind him. After making it to the second floor he would put the girl down forcefully as he turned and pulled the twelve shot rifle aiming down the stair case toward the front door so the first person to come through would serve as a warning to the rest, without turning his head he would speak to the girl in a forceful tone with a evil scowl on his face "get going up to the roof and be quick about it I am sure we don't have long before the figure out where we have ran off to and attempt to continue their chase." Raising his iron twelve shot rifle again he would wait for her to climb up if nobody tried coming in he would follow quietly and close the hatch behind them, if the any of the pursuers came through the door he would squeeze the trigger firing off a single round toward the center of their chest before turning and climbing up to the roof and closing the hatch. Then after attempted to grab the girl and sling her back over his shoulder and takes a running start toward the east where the docks were, as he reached the edge of the building he would leap into the air soaring from rooftop to roof top until her reached the building closer to the docks before he dropped into the building. Once inside he would nonchalantly walk out the building into the massive crowd .

To say that Chika was okay with the events transpiring would have been a total and complete lie. First she'd dropped a single strawberry she hadn't finished when the flute was thrown at her, then she'd lost the entire box of goodies when scooped up by Mr. Tall-Dark-And-Quite-Grabby, and now she had absolutely no control over where she was going. She was half tempted to jump out a nearby window when the man set her down, but when she saw the rifle he pulled out she couldn't help a slight snarl of frustration. He could all too easily turn that thing on her and she was now stuck working with him it would seem. She had no doubt that any attempts to take off with the flute would not end in her favor. So instead she stuffed it down the front of her shirt between her breasts to keep the thing firmly in place where it wouldn't so easily fall out and drew again a pair of her throwing knifes. "You so owe me." she muttered as she followed his instructions and started making her way up to the roof. She wasn't too excited when upon arriving he scooped her right back up. She was half tempted to knee him in the face. "I am fully capable of moving on my own you know!" she snapped at him, crossing her arms over her chest, and therefore over the flute, in a huff as the man moved from roof top to roof top with her over his shoulder. She was quite surprised when he moved into a crowd, still carrying her. "You know, it'd look less conspicuous if you just let me walk." she whispered in his ear. |

Zander and Chika Zander had taken himself and Chika inside of a four-story building, neatly furnished, though their seemed to be an absence of people. This was not the case however, as Zander had taken Chika to the second floor there were a man and woman shocked to see them inside of their house. This wouldn't last long as the man reached for the nearest object-a broom-and began to chase after Zander. Though, once the duo had made their way to the roof he had ceased his pursuit. The marines that were after Zander and Chika had followed behind well enough to see which house he had gone into, and followed suit. Well, as well as they could on their first try, since the door seemed to be blocked by something quite heavy. There were only three of them you see, and they weren't the strongest marines of the little bunch, so this was a puzzling situation. Until the remembered that houses had back doors of course. Theu immediately made their way to the back door and busted it down with ease, which regained a little self-confidence within the men. Once they had entered the house they went from room to room, effectively wasting time since Zander and Chika were long gone. Though they did learn they were heading to the roof, which meant they'd hit the ground sooner or later. With this new information the marine trio headed back outside and began to make their way to the docks. Noah "This sucks major time!" Yelled Noah as he continued to run from his pursuers. Knowing he'd have to rethink a plan to get the flute back, along with the fact that the weirdo killer and his flute holder wouldn't be able to leave until they got off the docks, he took a sharp turn to the docks. Three marines chase after him, leaving the others to deal with Zander and his hostage. He continued on his way to the docks, luckily a crowd was gathered so he simply used them to his advantage. The marines followed as best they could, but eventually they couldn't find him anymore. Noah continued on as he made his way to the docks, scanning the area to make sure he was here before anyone else. Well, anyone of importance to him and his soon-to-be newest collection piece. He was alone, save for a few sailors and the old couple from before. And now to play the waiting game... Back to Zander and Chika... After a bit of rooftop hopping the duo made their way safely away from their purpuers, though the credit could be given to Zander since he carried Chika through the whole thing. Once they were safely on the ground it was relatively peaceful, save for almost anyone who saw the man carrying a girl on his shoulder. The crowd had seemed to be bigger from earlier, due to the works of a certain little troublemaker, and thus more people had inhabited the street. As Zander continued to walk towards the docks he'd find his personal space being constantly tested by a passerby until eventually it would seem as if his advancement was being halted by the group. This was in faft the case, as now the two were surrounded by a group of pedestrians. There were mutters among the people, along with some words that were aimed at Zander. Things like 'put the lady down' and 'you almost killed a kid' and other things. It seemed as if he wouldn't be moving along at all unless he gave in to their demands of freeing Chika, which he could do if he so desired. Although he had to keep in mind that she was the one with the golden flute, and once he put her down he'd have to contend with the now growing crowd of angry bystanders. Why were they angry? Oh, maybe because he did something called...murder? Maybe...alot of it? The marines who had been chasing Noah had finally made their way through one crowd...only to see that another one had assembled ahead of them. Though, this one seemed to be gathered for a different reason other than rush hour, so they went to investigate. Maybe it would hold their fugitive, but when the approached they found it was not their criminal...but still, a criminal nonetheless. The three would quickly rush into action, making their way through the crowd, though at a slow pace. Zander would have to act fast, not only were angry civillians surrounding him, marines were on their way. He'd need to be smart about his decision here, as one wrong move could have him lose his chance at obtaining the golden flute. Though, Chika had all to gain from this. Not only was the boy who gave her the flute nowhere to be found, her kidnapper was in a position where he'd most likely have to let her go. If everything worked out right, she coulf walk away with a very valuable item. However, that only came with two conditions. One, if Zander even agreed with the civillians; and two, if Noah didn't come after her breasts for that flute. And for something as valuable as a flute made of gold, she'd be better off not letting him figure out where it was hidden. |

Zander scowled as he was surrounded by people of the town, he really was in no mood to be stopped but these people had persisted to push his nerve with their constant badgering. With scowl he would put the girl down on her feet and rest his left hand on her shoulder as he brought his leg up to a forty five degree angle and spun his torso slightly before unleashing a swift kick into one of the pedestrians behind him, the man who had been kicked stumbles backwards falling in to one of the incoming marines. As the pedestrian fell Zander's right hand drew one of the twin six shot iron revolvers at his waist as he righted himself and he turned counter clockwise to face his victim, Seeing the three marines Zander would fire three shots in quick succession each one aimed carefully. So the marine who had fallen under the weight of the man that Zander kicked took a bullet to his left knee cap, the second marine who was advancing took the second shot to his right lung and would need immediate medical attention while the last was shot in the forehead spraying blood on those behind him. Those closest to him backed up and he looked at the girl and says "lets go." His a constant scowl as walked with the crowded afraid to get close to the man who had killed without a hesitation and look of crazed anger in his eyes, approaching his ship he would point as a way to say get in as he reloaded the three spent rounds in his revolvers. If she got on he would follow and cast off from shore replacing the revolver in it holster at his waist, if not he would slam the butt of his gun toward her temple either way he would say " ill be taking the flute now." Chika kept that flute wedged where it was even as Zander put her down. She had to resist the urge to glare at the man as he kept her in place. She had thought about helping him in that moment, but part of her was a bit mad at being treated like some kind of pack animal. As she watched him 'work', she had to admit however that she was fairly impressed. He had managed to fight his way through the crowd without fighting his way through the crowd, definitely something she had not seen successfully done before and in this case she was very glad to see it done. She had a hunch this crowd was not looking to distinguish between him and her right now as the bad guys, so it seemed for now her lot remained with Zander. As he pointed at the ship, it seemed he wouldn't have to hit the girl at all as she ran up the ramp onto the ship and drew her knives, waiting for him to follow. If any attempted to approach she'd be sure they fell with a throwing knife in a knee. The moment he was on board, Chika reached under the ramp and grabbed the handle there, pulling the ramp up before letting anyone have a chance to climb on board after them. Once everything was secure, and the ship was moving, Chika finally allowed herself a smile. She took the flute from where it rest and held it in her hands as she turned to Zander. "So. This mean I have a crew now or are you just planning on dropping my corpse overboard?" she asked him. A question that would likely be answered at a later time. At least the drama was finally over for now, though Chika felt she was still owed replacements for her strawberries and chocolate that she'd lost in the process. |
