Haruka would only find herself frowning as she lazily sat back. The talk of her home island was one that she didn't like to dwell on, and it was something she could tell Gin was treading lightly with just but the pauses and facial expressions he gave. He had given her the option to just opt away from it, and not have to speak about it. Though granted she was told to rest a bit longer, and there was that trust thing that she did feel with him. Trust or not, it wasn't something she liked to speak with others on, due to the fact that it tended to get negative responses from others. She knew Gin wouldn't react in such a way, but old experiences still made her a bit hesitant. "I'm not sure you understand..." She would begin with a tone befitting her current laziness, but at the same time with an ominous undertone. "You think all of this is injustice? My home island will change the way you see that word." Blocking a yawn with her left hand, she would simply let that settle in with Gin. She wouldn't look at him for any reaction, this wasn't something she was going to change anything she said based on how he took to it, she was going to say what she knew and without interference of any sort. "Deadened soil where not even a single blade of grass will grow. Blackened skies which the sun has long forgotten. My island is survival, pure and simple, and not everyone is as lucky as I was to be rescued from it." She would pause with a sigh, knowing just how lucky she had been, Thalia finding her and saving her life, both from that certain death as well as what would eventually happen again should she have stayed on the island. Her people tended to die young in those conditions. "Food sources are low, without anything to grow, I hadn't even seen a crop until I was fifteen. That's half the life expectancy of my people, cause we either die from what we hunt, or from each other because we kill off the weak." There would be a tinge of sadness to her voice. The memory itself was a painful one and the twitching in her eyes would be all that needed to be seen to know, she was trying to fight back some tears. "The outside world won't help either, because outsiders tend to be ripped apart and devoured, think of what you people call a Zombie Apocalypse, not too far off because we're just animals.....ravenous animals...." Self reflection was certainly hitting her hard, to the point of putting herself with them again. Perhaps there was a part of her that did want to help, and not fully separate herself. "I can't change that, or at least I don't know how. All I know is I'd hate to think of just how many of us have died since I was rescued off the island...." With that, Haru would finally be done, finally turning to look to Gin to try and look for his reaction. She was prepared to see it and listen should he have anything to say. Though if he were to look her way, all he would see in her face, behind those innocent eyes was complete and utter pain. |

Gin glanced at her, listening quietly as she explained- and he considered a way to say it tactfully once more. At her first comment he set the tea down and sighed, "When I was seven years old, I watched Dad get off on an island that was nothing but death. The ground itself, burned. Ash constantly coated the sky, I remember that really well .. I stuck out my tongue thinking it was snow." His lip curled, in an empty smile. "Instant regret. Heh." Slowly his eyes rose up to her own, "The people that called it home, were cannibals. Animals. Monsters. The marines were already there when we landed and were going to cleanse the island- they were killing people, and eating them- all ages, all genders." Slowly he leaned back and looked toward the sky as the memory of their snarling faces re-formed in his mind. "Mom said they were better off dead, that they had lost their humanity. Most of the crew agreed- but do you know what my dad said?" His lip slowly curled and he looked into her eyes, "He said- 'I was once a mass murderer, I killed children, Infants, Beast, King, Innocents. Yet you trust me and give me my second chance ... and you ask me to kill these poor people?' ... They gave them a second chance. Dad beat them down, one after the other till they couldn't just attack mindlessly. Slowly he broke through to them a simple answer- let them help." He grinned slowly, "My friend, Arashi is from that island. A reformed Cannibal, and Tribal Mass murderer- that now dedicates his life to what he see's as the greater good for the world itself." Slowly his smile softened as he looked at her, and he looked serious for a moment. "There is always hope, for every species, every person, everything. Your people are still your people, and they deserve a chance like any other- it may take time, you may need to crack some heads to get the point ac cross they couldn't do anything to you anyway. But if you try- it is possible, just like anything is." His words being far beyond his years, before he blinked and grinned- "Ahh. I got this all serious." Gin's hand reached over, patting her head as he rose up and offered her a hand to help her stand- simply being polite not saying she was to weak to do so. "Just think about what I said, but don't let it cloud your mind or anything. Such things are far away for now. But what I said is important and I wanted to get it out." Smiling a bit he would motion her along after him with the scar-coated hand missing its fingernails. "Come on, let's get back to it ... thirty minutes of me laying your ass on the ground." His grin grew, "Unless you think you learned enough to pop a shot on me maybe." His tone was cheerful and teasing, obvious that he knew it would take time for her to grow- he was simply lightening the mood a bit to loosen them up before the spar. |

It was odd, for Haru to listen to Gin's story, it was almost as if her and this Arashi were from the same island. Though she knew it was impossible as in the end of it all, Tsukai ended the ravenous nature of the people, or at least got them to accept help. Still, the similarities would leave her in a state of bewilderment. She hadn't considered there were other places like what she called home and yet here was some form of that being told to her. The way that he spoke of his Father would get Haru to feel a sense of affection, so rare was it to just listen to stories and just know how much you would like an individual, and that was Tsukai to her. Someone who knew the hardships of coming from these backgrounds and to know that you don't have to become so calloused by it, inspirational was a word for that. "Just makes me want to meet your old man all the more." Haru would say as she say herself up, letting a small yawn out as she went about the motions of getting ready to go back into the thick of it. She could sense that the time to rest was coming to an end. Still, Gin would ask her not to take this all to heart so much, as to not cloud her judgment, and it would only cause her to frown. "No promises, but I'll try.." She would say a bit sheepishly, but it was true. Someone as good natured as herself would consider her options in how to go about such things, and apart of her liked to assume he would understand, as it would be like someone he knew. Still, the time would come for the seriousness to end, as Gin would make evident by the way he brought up their training. Issuing her a challenge, though she was still a bit far away from wanting to smile, she would kick herself from her seat and a stretching of her back with a pop being heard. "You have no idea, you're going down this round blondie." She would reply a bit dryly, but it was clear she was joking with him as she got herself ready. Once they got out there, and she was prepared, assuming they started close to one another again. She would open up with more of her trick based antics. A quick shuffle of her feet as to try and draw his attention to them, it was a very easy way to get someone's eye off the ball so to speak. Opening her up for a left hook to what was the blind side to the untrained. Perhaps she was just choosing her left based on the fact her right was still a bit tender. Regardless of if it hit or missed, unless she got counter attacked, she would swiftly duck away, looking for a hit and run technique to feel out both Gin's reactions, as well as her own body after the break. |

Ginjo's lips curled at her comment of making her want to meet them even more- nodding a bit in agreement. "I think that he'd like you .. well. He likes everyone. I think he'd really enjoy your company." He chuckled softly, before his grin grew even more at her comment that he was going down, "That's the spirit." He commented simply, before he would watch her throw the blows- and raise his hands simply, waiting for her to come in swinging before aiming a simple counter jab to her wrist to send it off course and do no damage, focused on instead long-term training. He needed to get her to increase her stamina along with skill, speed, and power. The sparing would be as he said, half an hour of it before a fifteen minutes rest- always pushing her to place her in new situations she was unaware of, or unable to counter him to well. The training was anything but the normal- and would force her to fight in new ways against him, as the hours ticked by he would finally call a halt with a grin and slowly sat down his arms across the ankles. "Good for today I think ..." He stated with a slow breath, he was starting to get a bit tired- he couldn't imagine how out of it Haruka was, so he thought it was a good idea to halt for the day as he offered her a hand with a smile. "You're improving well, Haruka-chan. Keep it up and you'll double your current strength within a few weeks ..." He murmured in amazement, leaning back as he leaned his head against his hands, waiting patiently for her to have a seat as well. Whenever she would- he would make sure they got their full meals that he would grin at the small pot of chili he was given and half a loaf of cornbread- eagerly scarfing it down as he sipped his drink of simple water. The progress she was making was indeed good- but food and rest were a massive part of training, getting stronger and making your body adjust to new things. He eyed her and grinned a bit, "After this I think we need to hit the hay and just relax. Tomorrow's a new day- and the next week we're going to be doing this, but after that we're going to be doing a little trip. You need to prove to yourself that island is not a factor for you anymore ... that you aren't that way anymore, and that will take time and dedication in a rough environment. Still- for now this'll be our daily routine so we should settle and rest for the next day." He grinned a bit as he crossed his legs and slowly tilted his head, "Though that does remind me ... is there anything you'd like to pick up? I know you like Navigation ... what about anything else?" |

By the time that training was done, Haru found it incredibly hard to breathe. It wasn't that she didn't have stamina, she was actually a quite gifted individual. She just wasn't a god damned machine like Gin seemed to be. It would be an observation that she would make during this session. She would be pouring sweat, doing what she could and yet he didn't seem even winded. By the time he would feel a bit tired, she would practically collapse to the ground gasping for air. "....G-good....I'm going to have to sleep until next week after that." She would manage between breathes, listening as Gin would congratulate her, talking about her improving. It would only cause a winded laugh from her. "Dying I think you mean." She would joke as she let herself lay back to the ground. Still, she had to consider what he said, about her doubling her strength in just that time span. It was hard to believe that she could make that much progress. Though in these conditions, she supposed if she survived that week then why wouldn't anything be possible? No doubt she would be urged along to their dinner, a pot of chili which smelled quite good. She would slowly but surely dish up, feeling quite sore from all that they had done. She taking a bite of the cornbread before she went in for the Chili, she keeping an ear to Gin as she quietly ate. A relieved smile crossing her lips at the mention of sleeping, a favorite hobby of hers, and fortunately, she was going to be too tired for Haru Cat shenanigans this time. Though something Gin said did catch her attention, his next test for her. Granted it was still some time away from what he said. Though the mention of rough environment was a bit interesting. Afterall, with the talk of her home island and how rough it was there, she could only eye him warily as he mentioned it. He not giving much in the way of details. Caught a bit off guard in fact, it would leave her rather speechless for the moment. Though the conversation would eventually shift after this into anything she would want to learn. Truth be told, she wasn't even that happy with being a navigator, the only perk to it was that she didn't have to constantly be involved with anything. Just point a finger in a direction and let's go. Though the upsides tended to outweigh the negative of it cutting into her nap time. She got a great sense of direction out of it, and was generally never lost if she had a map. Still, it did little good without a certain knowledge. "I hadn't really considered it, but I guess general survival tricks would be a good thing. How to live off the land, something I never learned growing up, cause the area was just dead." Knowing what berries you can eat, how to do this and that to stay warm, just general knowledge that was useful. |

He debated that information, leaning back and crossing his ankles in thought. "Mmn, well- survival is a good skill to have but it tends to just tag along with other knowledge you go with. Medical studies may be your best option, learning to gather and survive while also learning about poisons, toxins, medicines and so forth that you can use with the plants and such you gather." He pondered this as he leaned back, he wanted to expand her horizons after all and it would help if he knew what she was interested in. "Of course the other side of that is to learn how to properly prepare really good foods that you gather- and craft it into something incredible. Aunt Kira had some incredible recipee's ..." His voice carried along as he slowly grinned and chuckled, "She could make some of the best chefs in the blues and grand line look like amateur's when she was barely even caring. When she really tried, she made foods with incredible supernatural capabilities ... it was pretty amazing. After it digested your strength would skyrocket, or speed ... healing and all kinds of other stuff." His grin grew as he shrugged, "Flip side is I've seen Mizu do some incredible things with medical herbs ... regrowing internal organs and limbs with the right amount of time and medical treatment. Or making pills that granted tremendous speed and reflexes ... both are good routes to go, varying on your focus. But survival skills lead to both." He grinned a bit, "You should think on it. It's important- right now if you get disarmed you're basically down to martial arts, nothing else. You need more options on your side if you want that to work ... more ways to focus your skills so that you have a greater chance at what you're aiming to be. It'll make you alot harder to fight as well." He nodded a bit, before Gin's stretch slowly ended and he eyed the building as he slowly rose up and offered her a hand, "Think about it over the next few days, and we'll see what you want to do. I'll do my best to help you learn whatever you choose." He smiled a bit, before he would help her up so that she could stand and head to bed. "For now we definitely need sleep." he commented with a soft chuckle as he headed toward the building alongside her- once they finally got there, helping her to her room before ruffling her hair good night and heading toward his own room. He had his own thoughts to consider after all, he had certainly noticed a difference in his combat abilities, but he would definitely have preferred a more strait way to train his new sensory. A real user of Haki was what he needed, but that was far off it would seem- drawing a sigh from him as he shrugged and just kept going, time would tell he supposed, and that was that really. For now- he slid into the soft sheets of the bed, sighing from the hard days work- and drifting off into slumber. |

Gin would agree with her on the survival details, though he would suggest two paths which could work to her advantage and narrow it down. After all, survival was a very broad word and could mean a few different things. She couldn't help but smile as he would use two of his Father's crew mates to explain this to her, Kira and Mizuki. This would leave her to sit back as ponder over what he said regarding the two trades, Cooking and being a Doctor. Of course in her own fashion she would picture herself in the role. With her being a chef and having some fun in the kitchen, a nice apron and hat, frying pan in a hand and doing some fancy things. Ultimately, she knew just how clumsy she could be, so that little fantasy ended with the contents of that pan being flipped onto her as she fell to the ground screaming. An image which would cause her to shake her head, with a pout, almost as if shaking it away from herself. Of course, then came the image of her as a Doctor, practically int he same position, just with a body in place of the stove, and a scalpel replacing the pan, Surgeon's attire replacing the apron and hat. Amusingly enough, the vision ended in the same fashion, except with her falling back and dropping a heart she was meaning to replace onto herself instead of in the Patient's chest. Gin would of course keep explaining, and for a moment, she would lean away from Doctor. A part of her didn't want to be responsible for someone's life. She already tried to save everyone she can, and gets herself seriously hurt more than anyone else, SHE needs the Doctor more than anyone else. It would offer her a better range in helping however, and it did appeal to her, but the cons did outweigh the pros to it. On the flipside, being a chef was far less stressful it seemed and a bit more laid back. You cook a few meals a day and your done, with the occasional snack on the side for someone special. Inevitable first degree burns aside, it did seem like a fun little hobby to her, and a good way to also help people. "Kira was the one with Pink hair wasn't she? I wouldn't picture her in the kitchen making the food as I would imagine stealing "samples" from the actual chef." She would laugh as she remembered what she saw of Kira, she was a towering woman, a real brute and baking a cake didn't seem like something she'd do. With a sigh, she would only nod as Gin directed her to bed, walking her to her room as she continued to mull this over. "We'll see what I find better suits me I guess." She would say a bit tiredly, a bit disappointed that she herself was so unsure at the moment. Still, it was something important if she was going to take it seriously, much like her training. "You have a good night Captain." She would finally say before entering her room and retiring for the night. |

He nodded a bit with a grin, "She looked more like a brawler than a chef- she kinda was. But she was primarily a skilled chef." Glancing at her he nodded once more, "Aye, think about it- it will take time really. You'll have to think about it and try stuff out likely." He stretched as his bones popped a bit, rolling his shoulders slowly before he glanced toward her and his grin seemed to grow slightly. "Though you in an apron is kind of an adorable image." He teased lightly- not meaning anything by it, once more like a older brother teasing a sister as he snickered a bit to himself- waving a good night to her as he would exit and head toward his own room for relaxation and sleep. The next morning, Ginjo and Haruka were both welcomed by the sound of canonfire- yelling and hammering on their doors. Ginjo's eyes snapped open and narrowed as he leap to his feet, blade already in hand as he yanked the door open to find the soldier by their door's. "C-commander! The priests! They're attacki-" Ginjo was already halfway out the door as the blade clicked from it's sheath, shirtless and in only his boxers he leap out and sailed through the air to land on the grounds and roll before popping up. Chaos was what he was greeted with, they were already on the wall- war chants and blades slashing at the marines whom were firing down on them but being overwhelmed. Ginjo narrowed his eyes as he raised the blade high and twisted it- yelling at the top of his lungs, "Fall back to the main quarter! Block the ways into the civilians- hold the line!" The soldiers scrambled to their commander, falling in line as the six pathways that led to the rest of the outposts buildings were plugged with the marines as he raised the blade and stood out in the front line, occasionally parrying an arrow to the side as he counted the heads of the priests that were gathering on the walls, opening the gates to allow their fellows in. Expecting Haruka to have likely followed he glanced at her, "Keep them strong and don't let them through- I'm going to try and thin their numbers. I count about four times us, but they're badly armed." His eyes narrowed on a single large figure, covered in scales- one hand tucked away into its robes as the other wielded a crystal blade raising it high as it released the war chants. "Should have learned your lesson ..." He stated testily as he shifted his blade and narrowed it on the marines, it may take some effort but he could carve a path to the man easily enough- if the damn priest was taken out along with this many they wouldn't be a problem again for years in all likely-hood. If they even survived after such a blow to their following. Among the numbers there were two more individuals now- appearing to be other minor head priests. They stood with their followers, wielding daggers of crystal unlike the main ones sword- and were preparing for a full on charge. Shifting his blade as he glanced at Haruka, "Change of plans maybe ... I might be needed here. Take the other three lines- let none through." His gaze hardened on the priests as they charged and arrows flew- He lowered his blade toward them, "Fire!" He roared, as bullets shot through the air and he deflected the incoming arrows- many priests immediately toppled over, screaming in pain from the bullets digging into throats, heads, or stomachs. But there were still nearly forty charging them, with only three or four marines per line, it was going to get rough. He and Haruka both would really have to pull several times their weight each- if this was going to end anyway but badly as the bullets flew through the air into the mass of black robes. |

it would be safe to assume that having her slumber interrupted by canon fire did not set well with Haruka. The first explosion would get her to sit up quite quickly, and the war cries would get her to toss on her jacket and be out of her sleeping quarters. Of course when she made it to the main area, one who looked to her would perhaps even in the heat of the moment be seen doing a double take. Not having the time to do as she usually would, Haruka would be standing their in her jacket....but also just her sleeping attire. A Pair of black and white sport shorts which cut off high, and a loose tank top which revealed for the first time the curves she had going for her. Though on any other day, this would have been a treat, for this moment, the battle would be the main priority, and teasing her about what she forgot would come later. Golden eyes would find Gin whom she would immediately rush for, black sock covered feet finding little traction on the stone ground, her arm blade being fumbled into place and ready to be used. Once in attendance, she would get her first order, which she would retort back with a single "Right!" Short and sweet, to the point for the usually awkward young woman.Taking her post, she would be ready to take command over the lines she had been given. Though before she could do much, she would see Gin contemplate his actions, instead staying as the numbers were a bit too great. "I believe their dedication outweighs their intellect." She would chime in as she moved a bit down, commenting on Gin eyeing the leader for the second time. Keeping an eye to Gin, she would watch him to see when he would give the signal. She keeping a close watch on the battlefield as she would look and spot her opportunities. This was her charge as the first mate after all, and once Gin would give them the go ahead to open fire, she wouldn't be far behind. "You heard him! Fire!" She would shout with surprising volume. With the gun fire, she would note just how much and yet so little this did. They dropped quite the amount, but more just seemed to fall in line and in their place. Looking to Gin, she would await just whatever he had in mind. "Orders?" |

A light smirk played at his lips at her jab at their intelligence- "I bevel I should question my own more. I didn't think they would come after us with such a vengeance ..." Narrowing his eyes on the walls as he debated her question for a few moments before he drew the blade and carefully pointed it at the wall. "We hold the line and keep the civilians safe. You stay with the men and make sure everything stays smooth- stop any stranglers and help whichever sections needs you as best you can. I'm going to mow our lawn." Slowly the blade slid up horizontally- glinting off the light. "It's gotten a bit to tall for my liking." Flashing forward, the blade lashed out as several men clutched the stumps of their arms and fell back screaming in pain. Blood flew through the air as Ginjo's normally cheerful face and aura once more seemed to enter a much colder and murderous air, blood slowly rolling down the man's cheek. The impact of course caused a section of the wall to flounder- causing only half of them to continue their charge into the bullets, led by the two "commanders" of the group of twenty- leaving the rest and their high priest back with Ginjo. The bullets tore into more of their ranks, leaving roughly fifteen and the two priests charging toward Haruka and her men she was now in charge of- to close for bullets to be used safely as the men drew they're blades and braced- looking to her for orders and morale. Ginjo was as well- helping in his own way with such, letting out a roar of an order- "HOLD!" as he did himself, the knives flying down at him to be caught by the blade in a horizontal parry to the priests rapidly growing horror- before they were sent flying in several directions from the push back, most bleeding from a single large gash across their body in some location. His cold stare caused several to take a step back- before they're heads went sailing through the air, he was holding off the group that had attacked him, and the head priest was hissing in hatred. It had only been a few weeks- yet the boy had already grown this much stronger?! Unreleased he began to slowly fall back- before suddenly glancing toward Haruka and his eyes widened more, at the fact she would be able to fight against his right and left hands of god. The little bitch had barely been able to hold her own a few weeks ago! What was going on?! Growling he raised his crystal cleaver- and charged forward. This was his temples last chance to cement it's growth on this island, take over the other priests, and rule the island in the name of their dark lord- he would not fall here! That was his thoughts of course, until the crystal blade clashed with Ginjo's own- who's eyes suddenly began to glow a demonic red light, as his muscles bulged and darkness seemed to surround him. "... You made a very, bad choice." The snake-man believed it as he stared into those eyes. Ginjo however was more concerned with ending the fight quickly and effectively, and making sure Haruka and his soldiers were safe. |

With confidence, Haruka would nod her head in response to Gin's plans, she immediately moving into position as she looked on to the oncoming horde of Priests. "Keep it up, thin their ranks to the point of nothing!" She would shout to the men and women who awaited her to take her charge. Haruka's eyes would narrow as she watched them, no matter how many of them would collapse to the ground in a puddle of blood from the bullets. Many more would just coming, not even bothering to step over their comrade, just trampling them into the stone beneath them. "Just what did they do to these guys?" Haruka would ponder to herself, a bit unnerved by the display. After all, how could they willingly keep charging to their death. Many would ask the same thing about Marines, but they would at least show tactics after the first wave died to this, these Priests were just charging in headstrong and not caring about the causalities. Inside it angered her to think that a church had managed to corrupt it's followers to this point. So when her eyes locked onto the two high priests who were giving the commands as she had been for her side, she would look to do something about it. She could sense that their eyes met her own, and she could just tell what this meant. With a glance back to her men, she would give a command. "Keep yourselves between them and the civilians, keep shooting them down, any that get close, you have swords, make them regret every bad thought they ever had towards these innocents." Her voice was cold, harsh and unlike what they knew of her. Typically the soft spoken and adorable young woman, she was in a whole other element and one she was passionate for, helping others. Still, this would leave her to moving away, she watching to see the two high priests doing just that as well. They would move to the side of the battle going on between the cannon fodder or both sides and eventually when they were happy. Though that would bring on a whole other fight, beginning with them rushing in at her brandishing their weapons with a war cry. Haruka would take a moment to just let them reach her, allowing her to read them and their movements to gauge their plan of attack. The one on the right was a bit faster than the other, so he would reach her first, taking a large vertical swing down at her. Something she side stepped with ease and get booted away from her just in time for the other to arrive. She not even waiting for her to attack as she would take a step forward to swing her arm blade his way. He blocking it without much trouble, though as she had been taught, her body was becoming just as much a weapon. With his arms preoccupied, she would simply pull away and spin herself around backward, coming full around with her right leg and hitting a leg sweep. The man would let out a grunt of pain as she hit him rather hard, and this would leave him to collapse to the ground. Not wanting her momentum to be wasted, she would use it as she pushed off with her left foot and would launch herself up with a standing moonsault, coming down with both her knees into his chest. Letting herself roll back after the impact, she would quickly get back to her feet, and look to the both of them, looking to see just how much damage she did to that one, and where the other was. Ginjo's eyes were focused on the priest whom was quickly backing up in fear as Ginjo pushed harder and harder, until the man fell back a step and tripped over the body of one that he has sent to his death- a fitting end, in Ginjo's eyes. The blade that flashed through the air dug into his throat, and the head flew- along with the crystal blade that fluttered through the sky, cut completely in half along with the priests head as blood burst from the corpse as it slowly fell with a sickening wet thud. Slowly, Gin rose up and spun the blade in his hand, flicking the blood free as the red glow seemed to flicker around him- his red eyes turning slowly as they found the remaining men- roughly ten priests, charging at his men. They braced, formed up and converged on them- trapping them in a circle of blades as they tried to fight free- but it was no use against trained soldiers as they snarled like animals, yelling about the death of their "lord and prophet" and other such gibberish. Ginjo's eyes found Haruka, standing above two that were on their asses or backs trying to scramble to their feet. He thought of how sickening it was, the fact these twisted, insane skum used something like religion, belief, and targeted the weak to try and spread their power. Grinding his teeth slowly he turned, moving forward in slow- steady steps, before he spotted them starting to throw themselves once more. So many had already died. Useless deaths, people- that could have made a positive change on the world, if only they had not been such mindless sheep- he seemed to watch them charge, the other two struggling to rise and charge at Haruka, to their likely death. Slowly his eyes hardened and narrowed- "No more death." He growled, as his pupils seemed to shrink, and the irises turned a white for a brief instant- as suddenly all the priests, soldiers, all of them fell on their faces. Slumping as if they had been knocked clean out as the wave of force seemed like a tidal wave of water had suddenly slammed down on them all from above- even Haruka. The force would hit Haruka, but unlike the rest it wouldn't bring her to her knee's and face- instead she would just suddenly feel as if she was deep underwater, it was harder to breath, her body was't responding as it should- the force of his soul pressuring all near him. He watched them all fall, and blinked- he had intended to interview ... but not that way. He just sort of stopped and stared, looking at the unconscious litter of thirty men, slowly rubbed the back of his head in confusion- before looking to Haruka, the red glow and immense pressure coming off his body slowly fading as he just looked bemused. "Did you do that ...?" He asked in confusion. Techniques Used

Eye's hardening as they looked on at the two men whom were her opponents. There would be a certain look of remorse in her eyes, the hatred for having to fight against two whom may not have the freewill to do as they wish. Brainwashed into this little cult, and perhaps it was by choice, but it still in the back of her mind bothered her. Still, as they would both get up and they would continue to fight. A momentary look of sadness would hit her face before she did as she knew she had to do. She would counter them as she had been doing so prior, going away from dumping them on their asses again. The first would get his hand carrying the dagger kicked to the side. The force of Haru's kick would be enough to swing him around with surprising force. He would then find the sole of her boot kicking him square in the back making him stumble forward with a bit more gentleness to it than expected. This would of course come in time for the second of the two to be coming in with his weapon as well. Going for a sluggish slash, lifting both arms above his head to do so in a powerful motion. Though all it did was open up his midsection to a thundering body shot, he finding her fist firmly planted into his sternum and the wind being taken from him. Before she would continue as he would be left to double over, her eyes would be splitting from him to look back to the other man who was getting his bearings. picking up his weapon which had been kicked from his hand. With a rough shot from her elbow, she would press forward, hitting the winded man to spin him around with her as she moved to where his back now front was facing, the both of them now facing the man whom was turning back to attack her. In a quick motion, she would pivot, grabbing the winded man's hand in the process as she spun around the attack, dodging it as it flew past her in a stabbing motion. With a quick back elbow strike, she would have him off balance just enough to trap his arm holding the sword between her free arm and body. Her back to his, she would give a quick yank to the one holding into the winded man and this would send him with authority chest first into the other man's sword. Blood would spray as she looked to finish off the other, but there would be a sudden feeling hitting the battlefield. What she can remember of this would be Gin's voice saying what it did, not wanting death, and the next most men were on their faces on the ground. The Priest she still had ahold of would be included in this, lying next to his friend who was soaking in a pool of his own blood. The feeling was a harsh one, and by the time it was over, she would be short of breath. Naturally when Gin would ask her, all she could do was look at him with eyes of disbelief. "Wait, wasn't it you?" |

Ginjo blinked as she stated in a fairly plain way it hadn't been her, glancing around slowly as he slowly frowned- before it hit him, followed by a palm to his face. He had seen this before ... when his dad got angry and released his Haoshoku Haki! Staring down at his feet in thought, he wasn't really sure what to take of that as he slowly narrowed his eyes- he had awakened his Haki to that level? He was one in a million? "... Conquerors Haki ..." He mumbled softly to himself, before he slowly rubbed his neck- "Well. Shit." He muttered, looking at the unconscious soldiers and priests, and wincing at the dead priests. Sheathing the blade, he quickly frowned- "Grab the unconscious if you can Haruka-chan, tie the priests up, set our soldiers to the side!" He moved quickly, wanting to end this before they woke back up- a few were already grumbling as they tried to rise, he hadn't kept the pressure up after all. Still, as he dashed about and bound the wrists and ankles of the living priests, he then made sure to do as much as he could- patching up wounds and trying to save as many lives as he could as he muttered under his breath in annoyance. He had done it to save lived but without his men it was going to be tricky to save the injured priests sadly. Still he would do his best as the pressure would quickly leave Haru, and hopefully with her assistance get the priests bound and tended to as the majority of the men began to gather their senses and stand back up. Rubbing the back of his head he blinked a bit in confusion, "Well ... that'll be something I need to learn to control. Can't go about blasting my allies alongside my enemies ..." He muttered to himself as he glanced at Haru and winced a bit, "Sorry, Haru. It didn't hurt you or anything did it?" He frowned a bit, as he eyed her over to ensure that she's alright as he slid his hands into his pockets watching everyone finally get up. Blinking some as the men seemed to be fine as well, "Huh .. interesting. It doesn't seem to cause harm, just weakens will ..." He murmured in thought as he scratched at the stubble beginning to grow on his chin, before shrugging a bit and sighing as he eyed the dead. "This was unnecessary ... all those lives wasted." He murmured, as in total only twenty of the fifty priests had been saved- the rest lay dead, the one Haru had stabbed had been far to gone- the one that had passed out managing to stay alive as they groaned and slowly came to consciousness bound and gagged. The head priests head slowly rolled as he glared down at it as it finally came down to a stop- and he punted it, blood splattering the ground as it soared over the wall and into the distance. "Fucking sick, twisted bastard ..." He growled- hating the fact he was unable to save more- and knowing it wasn't his fault, but the fault of that sick fuck. |

Still feeling a little shaky on her feet, Haru would only look at him confused as he mentioned another form of Haki. She vaguely remembered him mentioning it, though it wasn't something she committed to memory as she would never believe herself to be so lucky to have it. Still, she could only weakly nod her head as she heard him give her an order to collect the Priests and apprehend them. Far slower than the likes of Gin, she would go about this task, putting her blade away after unstrapping it from her arm. The First priests she got too not having been so lucky as she would forget about it and accidentally cut the right cheek of his face a bit. Over the course of time however, she could feel herself getting back to normal, but it wasn't so much a blessing as it would allow her to ponder over what just happened. She wouldn't be able to locate an answer in time before Gin would ask her if she was okay. Still a bit foggy, she would rub her eyes a bit with the back of her hands whilst letting out a weak yawn."I just feel a bit off but I'm....fine...." Then it would happen, her eyes would travel downwards to catch a look at just what she was wearing, or perhaps a lack therefore of. Immediately freezing up, she would bring her arms down and cover herself. It wasn't that she lacked clothing, it was just that she wasn't completely covered as per usual, and her standing there in a tank top and shorts felt practically naked to her. Cheeks flushed pure red out of embarrassment, it showing to an impressive degree on her pale skin. She would then go about the awkward and quick waddle motion. Doing her best to move as fast as she could, but not without keeping herself as covered as possible. it proved to be harder than she imagined, and this only meant she would be whining the entire time. Certainly it would be a show to lighten the mood for Gin whom had punted the head of the Priest. To be able to turn around and see....well that side of Haruka yet again. Unfortunately however, if he did look her way, it would only cause her to spin to show him her back, doing her best to allow her jacket to cover herself. Though the motion would throw her off balance and send her face first into the ground. She nearly in tears as she rubbed the red bump on her forehead from the fall. This wasn't one of her better moments, but it would be entertaining for everyone else. |
