It was a relatively short trip with the old lady. She didn't even get to speak afterwards as Hoshi had thwacked her on the back of the head. How could they be sure they were at the right place? Hoshi seemed certain, so maybe he had some knowledge that Donkey didn't, but Donkey was a bit skeptical. Sure, there were loud bangs and crashes coming from inside the large warehouse, and they did happen to be on the docks in a large shipyard that likely specialized in exports, but how could they know for sure? Seeing it for themselves, that's how. By the time Hoshi had turned his head to ask Donkey how they were going to go about this, Donkey had taken off towards the only open door he could find. It was around a corner of the building, but it seemed to be the main entrance for bringing in goods. Inside the large open space was a... robot!? Oh my god, Donkey could hardly contain his excitement. He had never seen a real life robot before. It seemed to be dancing as it sprayed paint everywhere and smacked a box with its other hand. "Coooooolllll...." Donkey was speaking in a hushed tone. He wasn't trying to be stealthy or anything like that, he was just really damn impressed. He watched on with a goofy smile as the thing started swinging at the rafters. What kind move was it doing? It was breaking stuff in the process, how weird. Donkey couldn't actually see Gary, mostly because Gary was hiding up in the rafters at the moment, but also because he just had bad vision. There was a thwack on Donkey's cheek as he stared off into space. He had only been watching for a few short moments, but he was too distracted. He looked around in surprise before realizing it was his own hand. It seemed he subconsciously knew he was on an important mission and needed to pay attention. "Hmmmm.... if this isn't where Gary is, I think I need to let Hoshi know. No point in wasting our time." Donkey turned to run back to his companion, but found his feet unable to move. He threw one last glimpse over his shoulder before murmuring a sad farewell. "I'm sorry dancing robot... I'll have to watch you some other time." With his focus now on the correct task, Donkey dashed back around the building's corner and approached Hoshi. He had only been gone a matter of seconds, but he needed to make sure they were on the same page. He didn't want to give the impression that he was some sort of inept fool who went off and did reckless things without thinking. Donkey took a breath before blurting out his report. "Hey hey, I went n' checked the place out. I don't see Gary inside that warehouse, so I think we may have the wrong building. Should I splash some water on the old lady real quick? She might be tricking us." Donkey was waving his hands about wildly as he spoke. He wanted to convey the urgency of the situation. |

Despite how unsure Donkey seemed to be, Ame was fairly certain in the accuracy of his sixth sense that he had been honing since its discovery. Sure, his talent in the area wasn't as powerful as some of the higher ranked marines such as Willard, the man who taught him to begin with, but he was sure that the aura coming from inside belonged to the man he had shaken hands with back in the marine base not too long ago. He didn't really want to fight about it though and figured it'd be best to let the special agent see for himself, so he humored the man as he went around the corner to check on what was going on. It was a shipping warehouse after all so the banging and clanging coming from inside weren't really strange sounds at all. After a couple of moments the zoan user had come back and was in some sort of frenzy, swinging his arms all around. Did he see something wild going on in there? "Well, what is it?" The fishman spoke before Donkey went on to say that he didn't see his friend. Turned out all the flailing was just him feeling anxious or something about the situation. "Sure, go ahead and try waking her. I think I'll go ahead and take a look for myself." He had grown to trust Donkey a bit more over their time together, but he still had a nudging feeling in the back of his head that the guy wasn't quite all there. That and the fact that he didn't quite trust him over his own extra sensory ability. Stepping away now, Ame closed in on the same spot where Donkey had viewed the chaos going on inside and poked his head in for long enough to see the giant paint slinging robot causing a mess inside. Now that definitely wasn't a normal thing around here. In fact, whatever that was it was some pretty damn impressive and expensive tech. More importantly though, where in the hell was that Gary fellow? The shark's senses was pinpointing him somewhere on the catwalk across the room but his eyes had to focus a bit in order to actually make out his position. "See, I told you he was in here." He called over to the speedy agent, his voice obviously catching the attention of the criminal and causing him to turn back and get a good look at the newest intruder. Normally Ame would be a bit more inconspicuous about things like this, but the man before them didn't seem to be much of a threat if any. An easy win with or without a sneak attack, it'd just be a matter of busting up that mechanical thing he drove around. |

"Oh, finally." Gary stayed in a crouched position, but he was moving as quickly as he could to avoid getting hosed into oblivion. The metal of the catwalk hissed and sizzled as the robot continually blasted the area behind Donkey. It seemed the acid cannon wasn't so quick to follow targets, which was doubly nice for Gary since he was a fairly fast guy. It still didn't allow the assassin any breathing room though, so the sight of his marine buddies was a huge relief. Unfortunately Donkey had left right away, and Gary didn't even have time to sigh out of frustration because he was too busy trying not to get killed. Instead he started gathering a new line of web, waiting for any chance to disable the mech. Then Gary felt the larger footsteps of the fishman, but once again he didn't have the time to sigh (in relief). This time the robot's attention turned elsewhere, and Gary immediately stopped running to catch his breath and take stock of the battlefield. "Almost nothing left.." The fighting machine had destroyed nearly half the product in the structure, and Gary couldn't help but imagine that the lieutenant's boss would be upset with the loss. Or perhaps M would be happy that he'd taken down some tough contenders? Well, Gary also didn't imagine either of those things actually happening, because that was sort of assuming they didn't win this fight and capture this dude. Gary had a fair amount of thread in his hands now, but he wasn't sure how to use it yet. Tripping the thing could still be worthwhile, but Gary was in a far more advantageous position while the machine wasn't facing him. He considered for a moment his options, then decided to take a chance. Placing both hands on the balcony railing that wasn't melted, Gary both legs up onto the rails and sat in a crouching position. With a slight heave he launched off the side of the rail and dove downward, like some kind of bird or something. With a thud he landed on back of the robot, sticking to the top of the machine like any spider would. Hopefully Hoshi was capable of removing the defensive plating of the machine, because Gary hadn't really planned ahead on how he was going to bite this dude. |

Donkey tensed up when he heard Hoshi announce that Gary was indeed there. Wow, what was wrong with him today? Donkey shook his head at his own foolishness. He had made many mistakes, even if he refused to acknowledge them, and he was starting to feel a bit embarrassed. Hoshi... No. Amezoku had come to the island with mountains of dignity and completely stolen Donkey's limelight. In his pettiness, Donkey had jumped at every opportunity to poke at and shame the fishman, but the guy kept on chugging along. A true marine. Strong, brave and disciplined. Donkey's expression mellowed out, and his head wilted a bit at this most recent error on his part. He slowly walked around the corner to where Amezoku was and followed the man's gaze. Donkey had to squint, but sure enough, he could see his friend hiding from the robot, and the robot was actually attacking, not dancing. Donkey had almost left his friend to fend for himself from this monstrous contraption. What kind of horrible person does that? A bad one, that's who. Donkey was a bad, horrible person who leaves his friends to die. While bashing himself internally, Donkey heard Gary's voice. He sounded safe, and didn't seem too mad. Donkey had time! He could redeem himself! Donkey prepared to go save his companion with the righteous fury of a proper marine. "Gary! I'm coming to save you! That stupid robot is about to be scrap metal. That makes me sad because it's cool as hell, but you are more important!" Donkey got into a sprinting stance. He was going to go as fast as he possibly could, pushing all the limits. He realigned all of his muscles and organs by using his life return abilities, and he was already in his hybrid form. Digging his feet in, he grit his teeth and raised the tension in his entire body until he felt like he would burst. He then set his sights on the target. It wasn't nimble enough to avoid his blow, but he had to aim before he started. He couldn't actually follow his own movements so he had to point right at it like a gun. "Here I go..." A loud blast erupted from his starting point as his body slipped through the wind barrier. He surpassed the speed of sound with his incredible dash. He blazed forward, followed by a deafening roar. As he went, he tried to shout out a cool move name. "Infinite... Massssss.... Paaaunnnchhhhh!" His fist collided with the solid cold exterior of one of the robots leg. He would prefer to hit the torso, but he couldn't reach it. Not like it mattered. This was a punch beyond punches. This was an infinite mass punch. Donkey felt as it crumbled to bits from the impact of the blow. Pieces crashed against pieces, and fluids sprayed out as the interior was destroyed and tubes broke. All the inner workings burst out from the outer layer and were on full display after Donkey's punch. Yes, he had shattered his fist, and his mangled arm was broken, with bits of bone sticking out. There were rips in his skin exposing his muscles and tendons. There was blood flowing quite rapidly from his large wound. This was a bad idea. |

The fishman stepped back in order to avoid getting splashed with that acidic paint junk. It looked rather nasty and potent from what he could see as basically anything that was touched found itself dissolving in a matter of moments. IT seemed that the man did a poor job of taking care of his product though as most of the things that were in the warehouse had been destroyed as well. Gary seemed to do rather well for himself in not getting struck just yet, but he wasn't quit sure what the man planned on doing by hopping on the machine's back, then again this group seemed full of surprises. As the shark was ready to move into action he stopped as Donkey stepped up and began to do the same odd bodily shift from before as he claimed to be ready to save his friend. The guy had spirit he'd give him that much and he didn't really intend on stepping on his good intentions. Much like before, he exploded forward with speed that Ame had never seen in his life and totally mangled the machine's leg. Hell, the fishman was prepared to praise the guy for his skill up until he noticed that the zoan's arm was just as mangled as the machine. With a sigh he moved into action. "I'll take a look at your arm afterward, I'm a doctor. Just rest easy, special agent." He called over to Donkey and began to form water around his two hands. The man in the mech was struggling with the lack of a leg but still managed to find time to sling acid paint as well as try to fend off the other man who had clung to his back. Normally the metal exterior would have been a problem but for a master of fishman karate such as himself it may as well have been nothing more than a soggy napkin. "十万枚瓦正拳 Juumanmaigawara Seiken " The man closed the distance gap in a matter of moments (however nowhere near as quickly as Donkey) before leaping up and planting a heavy blue fist into the chassis of the robot with an impact like a sledgehammer. There was an initial impact that dented the chassis before a blast of force came through like a second impact and totally ruptured the steel and tore its way into the cockpit. The One Hundred thousand Tile True Fist was no joke. "That should be that..." He commented after landing on his feet, hoping to see the machine crumple to the floor after a thrashing like that. Judging by the fact that he relied so heavily on the mech Ame figured it was safe to assume that he was practically a non threat without it. |

"Shit." Gary had been excited to finally get a chance to pounce on his opponent, hasty even. So when the triple-jointed arm bent backwards and began trying to grapple with the spider-man, Gary found himself at a bit of a loss. He held on for dear life and maneuvered his torso downwards, feeling the air of the giant-metal brush as it passed right over him and rustled his hair. "Too close!" Gary wanted to complain further, but there wasn't really time. He had shifted his view so that he was still basically laying atop the machine, but looking forward and over it as well. He spotted his companion just in time to see him whirring up, and Gary couldn't help but feel a strong feeling of admiration and camaraderie. He might have even cried a single manly tear, if not for the whirlwind force that rocketed into the machine he was on top of. Gary felt the metal of the thing crunch and crack, and thought it sounded kind of like a thunderstorm. "Holy he-" He could feel his mouth moving, but there was a slight ringing, he adjusted his jaw experimentally before adjusting his body so that he wasn't thrown off the fighting robot. "Holy hell!" Almost immediately after the terrifying Hoshizoku followed up with his own attack, which once again nearly sent Gary flying from his position on the robot. But his eight legs curled around the top of the metal cockpit, and his hands stuck fast. Being a spider was pretty useful in times like these. So the front of the robot shattered and fell away, giving way to the sound of a horrendous battle cry. It sounded kind of like a bull giving birth, which as you know is impossible since it's a male cow. Anyway Gary made a face of confusion before he readjusted again- the machine was falling backwards and he didn't want his legs crushed. Just before the robot fell to the floor with a loud thud of shifting metal a figure dove from what was left of the cockpit window. Gary immediately leapt into action, baring his signature fangs and grappling with the body that he had tumbled onto. With a quick motion he brought those spooky "All your's bud. You earned it!" Then Gary smiled knowingly as he spotted Donkey's way fucked arm. Gary had seen far worse. Still, he turned and offered the prisoner to Amezoku instead. |

Donkey's vision was fading when Gary and Amezoku made their attacks, and he was borderline unconscious when the man was bound and offered to him, but something sparked deep within his soul. His eyes gained some light, he stood straight, and clenched his teeth to choke back the pain. Actually, the pain slowly subsided and Donkey became hyper vigilant of his surroundings. He was most likely going into shock from the intensity of the injury, the pain, and the loss of blood, but he had a manly ass job to complete. Gary seemed to offer the bound lieutenant of the paint cartel to Amezoku instead, but Donkey quickly intervened. "I got this." Are the words he though he was saying, but a large portion of his brain was malfunctioning from the recent mental trauma. What actually came out was, "Ey ogg fish." His eyelids were drooping, and he was drooling a bit, but there was a certain intensity about his expression. Grabbing the webbing, Donkey hoisted the deplorable midget over his shoulder using one arm, then began walking out the warehouse. He wasn't sure if he was followed or not(he almost certainly was considering his state) but Donkey made for the marine base as fast as his wobbling legs could take him. He was completely aware of how injured he was, even if he couldn't feel the pain at the moment. He also saw the immense trail of blood he was leaving in his wake. It was a vivid trail of red staining the white primer of the street. It was leaving a highly visible, and mildly disturbing trail from the warehouse all the way to the marine base. With much trouble, and a few stumbles, and quite a bit of incoherent rambling, Donkey arrive at the entrance of his destination. "See? I was fine." Once again, the words in his mind were much clearer than the gibberish that emerged. "Eh? Evast fern." Donkey exuded confidence with his statement as he looked back over the shoulder of his mangled arm. As his head turned back to face the front, he caught sight of said arm. Almost immediately he was reminded of the pain, and it took less than a second to return. His neck seized, and his heart rate rose dramatically. This only served to raise his blood loss though, so his vision started to fade once more. In an act that can only be described as incredible willpower, Donkey managed to stay conscious for a minute or two longer. He had to deliver the thug, and report to the marines at the base. He was a special agent for crying out loud. He needed some damn reputation. Throwing the door open with a shoulder bump, Donkey was greeted by the sight of a perfectly clean interior, with polished floors, notices on the walls, new lights and quite a bit of new paint. The base had been furnished and reinforced with new lumber, and was looking vastly different than it was before. That girl with Amezoku must have whipped them into shape. Sadly, none of this registered to Donkey who walked in with paint coated feet, and blood leaking profusely. He walked proudly down the hall, leaving a mess in his wake, and approached the counter where there was now a secretary stationed. Where the hell had she come from? Who knows. She looked shocked by his appearance but Donkey was unfazed. He lifted the small wrapped man and plopped him on the counter. He didn't know the name, so he couldn't report that detail yet, but he wanted to say something. "I've come to deliver one of the higher ups of the paint cartel. He was in command of the docks." By now you get the gist... "Etf cemtwa derrerer unfo tree huraps otvee pren cattel." Having freed up his good hand, Donkey gave a thumbs up, and a lopsided smile. He then fell backwards to the ground with a thud, and passed out. He'd probably get medical attention. 1/3 Cartel Sub-leaders defeated. 0/1 Cartel Leaders defeated. 1/1 Donkey the god. 1/1 Hoshi the tryhard. 1/1 Gary the cannibal. |

Thank you for your patience. Your storyline has been reviewed.
Donkey Kick is a treasure. Gary is... a strange brand of sociopath. Amezoku is an excellent straight man, and a smelly fish. Basically, excellent storylines exist when enticing characters are placed in fun scenarios, and so this episode certainly fits the bill. Silly premise, silly conglomeration of characters, and stupid things like acid-paint mecha. Notoriety: For the completion of, by his standards, a fairly simple and basic operation, Amezoku receives 2 Commendations. Similarly, Gary Stella - a relatively reputable tertiary party - receives 2 Threat for his trouble, and a "please join the Marines for real" plea. |
