Haruka's smile couldn't help but widen a bit at the way he answered to her statement about being apart of a family. He didn't seem to judge her on the fact, and still she was able to retain her sense of self belonging. "Not as charismatic? I'd hate to see what kind of silver tongue your Father had then." She would comment, making a joke that was likely she would only get. Poking at just how he made her feel as far as the crew went, it was as if she was becoming less and less of just the map reader, and something of a friend. Her mood would remain in tact as the man agreed to what she said, and the two of them would do as she would have liked, remaining out of sight. The two of them managing to get to the wall doing just that, she following close behind.

Although, much like with them taking the stronghold, Gin would take to scaling the wall, giving her a gesture for her to hold her position. She would be left to pout as she watched him scale the wall, knowing she herself couldn't hope to follow even if he hadn't told her to stay. It was just another reminder of how far this man was ahead of her, and just how weak she was. Still, she would remain focused, especially in that mindset as getting distracted with such details at her level could mean death. Fortunately, Gin didn't intend to just leave her down there as once he got to the top and made sure it was clear, he would lower a rope for her. She waiting patiently and quietly for her before she would jump to grab the end of it once it was low enough. He supporting it as she would use her strength to pull herself up until she could get the rope between her legs and soon between her boots. Using the rough tread, as well as her own grip to pull herself up it.

Inching along bit by bit at a steady pace, but the most important aspect would be the silence she held doing so. As opposed as if she tried to walk up the wall with the rope. Before long, she would make it up, grabbing a hold of the wall and allowing Gin a break from her weight as she swung herself over the wall and onto the stone walk way between the turrets. Her eyes immediately locking onto Gin as he looked about, giving her a motion with his head towards the shadows the intended to stay into before the duo quickly were off to the nearest set of stairs. She couldn't help but notice the way he moved, his body language, he was far more uptight than a moment ago, even considering what they were doing. Did he hear and see something she hadn't whilst she was back on the ground? She would dare not ask as she refused to make a sound, she would instead stick close to this man, ironically, she was practically his shadow as they crept through the familiar darkness.

Ginjo snickered a bit at her comment on silver tongues, "Dad married mom. Mom was a cold, heartless and bitchy woman who could turn into a T-Rex and had a tendency to hate all human beings and work only with her forge and electronics. Usually people ended up dead if they bugger her. Dad not only got her to fall for him, but she never fights with him, and she completely changed to never kill- just like him. I'm not even close to his level, trust me." Chuckling softly he of course ran silent as they entered the actual complex- as he hauled her up with ease he would ensure they were as they went.

He silently landed in the dead dirt of the complex within, glancing at the stones as he slowly sank down lower and glanced at her, making sure she was safe before he pointed toward the pitch black window on the second story window. There was a risk and benefit, it was silent and dark- meaning it was likely abandoned and far less likely to get them caught then the ground floor entrances, but it also put them on the second floor- meaning they had to get down the stairs to get back down to them. He sighed as he leaned down and debated the options quietly, before he decided to take the risk of the extra time- if they got caught the whole operation could go down.

Signaling that he was ready, he quickly moved from tombstone to tombstone- ducking and dodging into the shadows silently as he leap upward once more, quickly scaling the wall once again before peaking carefully into the pitch black room. He couldn't see or hear anything- but that didn't mean much, he had to take the risk. Slowly he eyed the lock and took out a slim lockpick, he was no thief by any means but he was an inventor- he knew how to make these things. A soft click filled the air shortly after, and he watched quietly- waiting, but there was no response. Sighing in relief he raised his hand and slowly opened the windows up as he crawled in slowly, quietly.

He jerked however as the main doors burst open- muttering he rolled into the window and watched as a larger man in dark black robes leading about ten other men, five in each row behind him out the building- chanting and brandishing curved daggers. Narrowing his eyes he watched them go, before he dropped the rope- being very slow and careful now with the scare, luckily they had not been spotted but he didn't like the fact the door's were now open, there was alot more light shining into the courtyard now. Hauling her up as she would be to slow for his tastes he quickly helped her in, closing and re-locking the windows to avoid any suspicion as he gave a silent sigh of thankfulness at the success.

He then glanced around with a frown, arching a brow at her in a "ready?" kind of way.

Haruka would naturally follow this man down, her feet also making contact with the dirt. She taking extra precautions with her noise level. She whom was never much of an assassin type, though she had hunted in her past. She was all too familiar with the situation around them, the pounding of her heart, the fear of what was going on around them and what they were about to do. She knew she was terribly weak compared to these people, and if Gin couldn't save her, she would be the next sacrifice by the crazed priests of this island. Such was her mindset, and such was the case that each and every little sound they made. Even her hitting the ground, it was as if she could hear every little particle of dirt falling over, every sound magnified twenty times over.

She could see that Gin was concerned about her as well, he checking on her every now and then. On a particular time, he would follow it with pointing to some second story window, it was dark and quite frankly scary. That was saying something for someone whom lived in nothing but darkness her whole life. Still, she would see him seemingly debating with himself on how to progress. Her heart sank a bit as he would seemingly choose the high route. She would follow him, waiting for him to move to the next tombstone before she would move quickly to the one he had just left. The two of them moving quickly before he would jump to begin scaling the wall. A showing which damn near had her screaming at him for showing her up and making her feel bad for how terrible she was.

She watched him from the safety of the ground, kicking and screaming on the inside as he peered into the room. Seemingly clear as he would then take a moment to pick the lock, the dead silence they had being broken by the sounds that were going on up there. Her face hardening with concern as she heard the chanting, he having since rolled in and her heart near skipped a beat as she found her mind rattled with terror. If he was caught, she was screwed and she knew it. The next few moments would be excruciatingly slow as she grappled with the fear her mind put her through. It wouldn't be until she saw the rope that she would feel a tiny bit of relief. Though it would be in that relief that she got hit with another sense of dear that she hated being separated for this long as is. This left her to practically claw at the rope to get a grip on it when it was in her range. Though she tried to quicken her time up the rope from last time, she made more errors in doing so.

Her hand slipping here, she losing her footing there, it was a whole mess. Something she picked up from with Ginjo as he would help her through the window. She could practically feel that she had taken too long as he hurried her though. Something that continued to make her feel a bit bad as she would openly frown. Fortunately, as he relocked the window behind her, and with the lack of crazy priests trying to kill them at the moment, everything seemed to be working out for the time being. Her heart beginning to settle itself back down as she looked obviously on edge. Her eye's soon locking onto Ginjo who motioned as if asking her if she were ready to go. She whom was leaning against the wall beside the window would only offer a thumbs up.

Once he had secured Haruka up into the building he sighed a bit and calmed, keeping a cool head as he nodded at her thumbs up- patting her head lightly with a grin, a silent promise he'd keep her safe. With that done, he would narrow his eyes and turn as he moved forward quietly- slipping through the darkness easily as he slowly looked through the door's lock, not able to spot anything he carefully popped it open as he glanced along the hallway they found themselves in. It was fairly extensive, but very bland, about ten other doors were nearby from the other rooms. The hallway fading into the darkness as it continued onward, there was no light by the occasional window that let in the glimmer of the moon.

Taking a soft breath he dashed forward once more as he glanced back at her and made sure she kept up as he dashed along the corridor's. They needed to be fast and silent, of course that would be challenged when a monk would walk around the corner- Ginjo's eyes narrowing as the monk blinked and opened his mouth to yell- but only gurgles came out as Ginjo's foot planted itself firmly in his throat, effectively silencing him instantly.

He caught the metal as it was falling, slamming an elbow into the mans forehead, knocking him clean out as he dropped like a rock. Sighing as he slowly relaxed and eyed the man as he hauled him up on his shoulder, his breathing was raged- but it was still there. He opened one of the many doors, glancing around inside before he placed the monk down- and using his own robes bound and gagged the man. Nodding after about five minutes of work he rose up and moved forward once more- at least they had found a corner from the large hallway, and as he glanced down it he spotted the glow of dim light from the next floor below them.

Rubbing his neck as he leap forward as he slowly sank down into the shadows, sinking lower as he eyed the light- it was a bit to nice. He was wary and for good reason as he moved forward, kneeling down slowly to examine the doorway as he placed a hand carefully on his blade- but it seemed silent. The candles flickered along the stone walls, and it was easy to get down the steps onto the main floor. At that moment another scream filled the building- and Ginjo's eyes narrowed as he burst into action, Haruka was scooped up and suddenly his breath outward seemed to steam as he blasted forward at even higher speeds.

His veins visibly pulsing as he dashed forward, he knew she didn't want carried but he had to keep her safe- and at the same time they needed to get to the individuals trapped. He flashed forward, and of course it was a bit reduced as suddenly the monks were everywhere- following the noise had apparently led them strait to the hornet's nest. His eyes closed as he took a breath and murmured to her, "Hold on tight." Before the sliding of his blade was heard filling the air, they had moved through many hallways following her screams to a large central room with about thirty of the monks- chanting and now brandishing blades as they sounded anything but pleased at the intrusion.

The screams came from a large Iron gate that was slowly falling as his blade seemed to pulse with life all it's own- the steam rolling from his mouth as he murmured coldly, "Red lotus ... bleeds Iron." With this, the five men that got in his way- were sent scattered to the winds from the force and speed of his strike as the katana ripped through the steel, sending chunks flying from the impact as he didn't even slow down, cutting down through the gate as he landed with a thud in the entrance way of what appeared to be some form of sacrificial room. A young woman bound and tied to a large table, blood dripping from her limbs into collectors of some sort in the floor itself.

"... What the sick honorably fuck?" He hissed as he let Haruka down and got ready to attack- trying to count how many were in the room, and what the threats were.

Unfortunately, Haruka's breathing would not return to what it should be, even when this man patted her on the head. A hunter she had been when she was younger, and now she felt very much like the prey. The darkness only made her feel more at home, and it was a scary thought in her mind when in this situation. She whom was so attuned with it, and looked forward to each nightfall, felt that familiar fear of her old life. As fast as she could, she would try and keep up with Ginjo, but the man was obviously faster than her. She straggling, but keeping a fair distance behind him as he would occasionally check on her. Though things did seem to be going there way, and she could almost feel a calming breath rush over her.

Was it a calming breath? Perhaps not as that breath would soon turn into a quick intake of air as she visibly froze up. The things which were beginning to look up took an immediate downturn as not only did a monk happen to turn the corner at the most inopportune time, but Ginjo was quick to silence him. Her eyes were frantic as they surveyed their surroundings, his body hitting the floor, though Ginjo had assured he hit nearly without sound. It may as well have sounded like an anvil to Haruka. As quickly and quietly as before, she would follow behind, watching as he dropped the body into a room. She standing outside of it, not daring to look in, and instead keeping watch as Ginjo remained in there for what seemed an eternity. Oh her poor heart, could it take much more? This man seemed quite determined to put it through the test as a scream could be heard. Before she could even show a shed of worry, this man scooped her up and deposited to his back where she was told to hold on tight.

Though she would remain silent for the moment, on the inside she could already hear her mind screaming at this man. On the outside however, she would do as she was told and "hold on tight", practically closing her eyes as she didn't wish to see what happened next. No doubt his actions would draw the attention of the monks they had worked so damned hard to avoid, and she would soon be dead as a result. All she could feel was the air from his dashing, and the sounds of chanting getting louder and louder. This man saying a few words to himself and the clanking of iron that followed. Still, she refused to open her eyes, that would of course be until this man hissed a few words as he put her down. Her own feet on the ground, she would be forced to open her eyes, and this pale woman would practically turn ghost white.

The torture the woman whom was bound tot he table had to endure. Haruka looking towards those buckets with a mixed reaction of both disgust and a tinge of....desire? It would take the sudden realization of just where they were to break her trance, she looking out onto the onslaught of priests. If they were already unhappy over the intrusion, they were certainly pretty pissed by this point. Her right hand would soon clench to a fist as she would shakily raise her weapon up. "Oh if we survive this, I am so kicking your ass!" She would growl at Ginjo through gritted teeth. Her eyes surveying out into the room, doing the same math as her Captain.

He grinned wide, "You'll have to get stronger if yah' wanna do that- so I'll help make sure. For now ... stay close." He murmured, and clenching his hands he looked around carefully- they had used stealth to get in, he knew they wouldn't be able to sneak out of here with an entire platoon of civilians. He wasn't stupid. He broke cover when he needed to- to get to the location they needed to get to, there was the gate that let down where he saw cages, almost a guarantee of where the civilians actually were. He counted ten in the room, and he knew at least twenty were outside the room itself. Slowly he narrowed his eyes, glancing around as he made note of how many there really were around them.

His grip on his blade tightened a bit as he looked over to the woman, to realize she was anything but. A child more like it, she was barely his age- young, a life to live. Slowly his grip tightened, "You fuckin' monsters ..." He murmured as his eyes slowly hardened as he raised the blade up, entering a Kendo stance- she had slit wrists, but if he could defeat them quick enough Haruka could stop the bleeding while he held them off. Grinding his teeth he turned, slamming his blade into the knife of one that finally charged- the chants ringing through the room. The impact was tested- and the man was sent skidding backwards, slamming into several of his fellows as he narrowed his gaze.

"... Haruka, they're weak. Fodder. Don't panic you can easily handle a few of them, just be careful!" He growled as he shifted his blade and slowly aimed it on them, "We have to clear out the room. If we can do that I can hold them at the door while you help her and the civilians!" He called to her, clashing blade with knife several times during his instructions as he shoved them back each time- these were just the standard men, so where were the temples forbidden "Beast Warriors" that he had heard rumor of? The beasts of the dead? It made him wary as he spun and the blade was painted crimson as it lashed through target after target.

It was easy enough for Gin, whom was far stronger than the mooks- but it still was annoying as he would help clear out the priests as they started to try and file in through the tunnel, grinding his teeth as he made sure Haruka was alright every few moments. Finally- after about a minute of cutting them down there was only a few left by the door- more trying to force their way in. Narrowing his eyes he ground his heels into the floor before he shot forward, pulling the sword once more as his eyes narrowed- aiming a powerful blow to the one in the center he grunted and was sent flying backward as he sliced the knife in half- along with the mans arm and chest as he scattered those in the tunnel who moved to avoid the flying body.

With that he spun, kicking another to the side as the blade slashed the last across the man's chest. "Haruka! Stop the bleeding of her, I'll keep them back!" He ordered, for the first time instead of asking her- the girl was maybe fifteen. He would not have her death on his conscious when they could have saved her! Kicking the door closed he then kicked a few of the stone chairs in front of it and waited, catching his breath from the physical onslaught, the unconscious or injured men and women around them groaning or laying silently from the damage he and Haruka dealt. "Sick fucks ..." he murmured as Gin's eyes watched the door budge again and again- trying to just break it down to no avail.

It would hold them for a while, but it was also their only exit. This was a temporary fix to a bigger issue.

She couldn't help but shoot the man a bit of look of shocked disgust. "With all due respect, I think this is serious!" The way he spoke took her back a bit, here they were facing down what she perceived as death, and this young one was cracking jokes? She would have to squash it for now however as she would listen to him, staying as close as she could, as she would continue to survey the landscape and get an idea of how to handle the situation. She could see the numerous Priests who were making their way to them, and knew many more would be waiting in the ranks. If she was just given a minute to think...

Ginjo's voice could be heard, it seeming to become a moment of dread to hear it. He would keep his voice low move forward, his eyes trailing off the woman. It too would cause Haruka to look in her direction, and she could be seen grimacing as she would realize the true age of her. It was a damns shame to see such a youthful put through this torture. A bit of sorrow would show on her face, she not feeling the same anger which drove Ginjo it appeared, instead she just felt sympathy. Upon the clash, she would turn to see Ginjo having shoved a Priest away and into others, he giving her the green light practically to get involved in a fight. Though, she wouldn't be given much of an opportunity as three of the Priests would be slowly encircling her, she having not noticed them closing in it seemed. She would take a few steps away from the table, her right hand clenching tight as she let a deep breath escape her, it was do or die time.

The first of them would be quick to step in and try and run the ritual dagger through her heart. Much to even Haruka's surprise she would find the attack to be slow, easy to dodge. Raising her weapon up, she would backhand the attack away, using the blunt side of the blade on her arm to do so. Now off balance, the Priest would soon feel her boot connecting with his sternum via a side thrust kick. This would temporarily disable him as he was doubled over, she showing a bit of joy for how easy it was. Though it would get her in a bit of trouble as she was quick to forget the other two. One of which who would grab her from behind roughly. The other whom would try to do as the first and ram a blade through her, now that she was being restrained. In clear desperation, she would use the man holding her as a wall as she jumped up, and brought both feet up, driving them both into the oncoming man's chest. This knocking him down and winding him.

From here, with a bit of extra momentum as her body would do as it naturally would with gravity. The man having lost a bit of his grip on her, would soon find himself being hip tossed over, she having locked her right arm under his left and simply tossed him head over heels to the ground in front of her. He landing with a thud on his back before sitting up in pain. With little remorse, she would simply drive the point of her blade through the back of his neck. Leaving him to collapse and quite ironically, bleed out as he had no doubt done to others. Of course, this left the man whom was merely stunned through that side kick of hers. Having recovered a bit, he would soon be floored as she gave a quick roundhouse to the temple. Thus ending this fight for the time being, she not having the time to focus on the one whom hadn't gotten his breath back quite yet as Ginjo was on the move yet again. Having sealed them into the room for the time being.

She would of course be slightly taken back by his order, both for the fact he actually ordered her to do something, and what he had told her to do. Raising a brow a bit, she would move to the young woman on the table, it wasn't hard to spot what was wrong with her. "You know I'm not the crew's Doctor, right?" She would question, not so much trying to get out of it, but just explaining she held practically no knowledge about medical training. Shaking her head, she would make sure to cut the young one's bonds, at least freeing her from the table. Once that was done, she would strip away her jacket, leaving her in just her t-shirt, a shirt which would become sleeveless as she cut them away, making sure to make a slight cut to make it resemble more of a stretch of material as opposed to the round sleeve it was. "A good amount of pressure, right?" She would question as she began to tie her makeshift gauze around the girl's wounds.

He grinned wider at her statement on this being serious, "I'm fully aware, Haru. You can't get so tense." His smile lowered a bit, and he stated calmly- "If you don't keep a level head in a bad situation you die. Stop panicking- we aren't done yet." He murmured, watching the door as he heard her questions and sighed, "Haruka you aren't able to hold off these bastards if they bust down the door, you have to do it- plain and simple. Bind it tight, the bloodflow needs to stop- the limbs can live without the blood for a short time, but she wont live period if she keeps loosing the blood. Get her sitting up so the bloodflow regulates properly after that and clean her best you can."

His eyes narrowed as dust fell from the door as something hard impacted it, before he continued slowly. "Then you will go down and free the other civilians. Once you have them all free get the ones capable of using them to grab the monks knives and blades, I'll create a distraction and cause enough of a ruckus to keep the occupied." His eyes hardened slowly as he glanced back at her, "You will lead them back. There wont be anything but mooks with my distraction going on- do not stop, get them to the main base as fast as you can. Do not wait on me- that's an order." His tone was accepting, and though not completely confident he would escape there was no falter to it- he thought he had a decent chance, but the civilians were far more important to him.

With the orders given, he braced as the cracks splintered over the door and he raised the blade as the steam once more fled from his lips and nose. "Come on you bastards ..." He murmured, the image of the poor people crying in pain behind him making his hand clench tighter on the blade as another impact and a man stood there, black robes flowing around him- pale skin and dead, cold eyes- his fist holding dust flowing off the knuckles revealing he had struck through the door. Ginjo gave him no time, a single flash and slash caused his eyes to widen as he hissed and he raised metallic bracers, countering the blow- but being forced back just a bit.

The match up was close, but in Ginjo's favor. He grinned slowly, "So your the sick fuck behind all this huh ... I'm going to make you wish I killed!" He hissed, eyes dialating as the man's own faltered- the boy pushing harder and harder as his muscles strained. Finally the man's eyes hit their peak as he was about to release a curse, before the slash slammed forward- slicing the Iron bracers clean in half and slicing his arms and lower legs deep. The impact of the blow sending him skidding backwards as the other men scattered out of the way as Ginjo smirked and slowly raised the blade, now dripping even more blood- standing in the middle of the hallway separating them from the innocents and the main room.

"... You won't get past me. I don't care how hard you try." He murmured with a low growl- the blade slowly tracing a line behind him- as if saying 'you cant pass this', teeth clenched as he watched the snake-like man slowly rise up, glancing at the wounds and licking the blood from them as a slow smile crept to his lips- raising a hand and pointing as the waves of men shot toward him. Ginjo didn't falter- he had to buy time for her to free them, and when she was done he had to keep their attention and drive them away from here, and force most of them to chase him- including their twisted leader. It was hardly going to be an easy task but he had no choice- he was determined to do exactly what he had to in order to ensure they all got out safe.

Gin wouldn't seem to be helping Haruka's nerves a bit as she could be heard showing a bit of displeasure. Mostly through an audible groan as she continued to work on the female, doing as instructed. She taking her cut sleeves and tying the wounds off with them. The noise behind her, them trying to beat the door down as best they could would be but background noise to her as she continued to work. Her ears perking up a bit as she was finishing up, only to hear Gin's "order". It would only cause her to look back in his direction, looking at his back as he spoke. "You can't be serious..." She would question both with disgust and general confusion. What kind of Captain does this? You send out fodder to do something crazy like this, that was if they die, you still have the commander around.

Though, she would dare not question it further, she could sense he was in fact serious. With a sigh, she could only shake her head in disapproval. "You had best make it back, I still owe you a beating." This would be all she would say as she started to do as she was told. Getting the young woman up and off the table, stabilizing her as best she could since she was weak from blood loss. From here, she would escort her a short distance before they hit a staircase which led down a short staircase under the floor. The floor hear would be nothing but loose dirt, it practically a cave. Above her would be a ceiling made of the stone floor above, all except the iron pattern, much like a grate, in a circle around the sacrificial table. Haruka's eye's would lock onto it for a moment, she able to see the hardened blood adhered to it, some fresh from the female she held onto. It dripping freshly into the dirt below, dirt which had been stained red both with new and old blood, she wasn't the first obviously.

It wasn't hard for her mind to think of a reason as to why. They must have the set up as such, to allow the others to see what happens to those who are "chosen". Keep them in line as to not anger the Priests who would put them to death sooner for acting out. It only amplified Haru's desire to get out of here, and to complete her end of the job faster. Around her, the cells, which held the prisoners, each of them holding onto their bars with hopeful eyes, save for one in particular. Though Haruka had little time to dwell on that particular one for the time being. Looking behind her, she would see a Ring of Keys hanging from a hook on the wall, and she would be quick to unlock the nearest cell, passing the set of keys along for the now freed prisoner to do as she had and free the others. "Listen up" She would speak in a low yet commanding tone, doing her best to sound authoritative. "Once free, I need the strong and willing to get whatever they can to fight with. I also need someone with at least some medical training to take this young one here and ensure she is alright as we exit the building. One of the strong will accompany you and ensure you are safe at all times." With a nod of her head, she would take a look around as the cells continued to empty.

She turning to look up through the floor to see if Gin was alright. The man seemed to be doing good, but she had to wonder how long it could stay like that. Once all was in line, she would have to ask one last thing. "Do any of you know of a better way out of here? If not, we are going straight back up the stairs, and I'm not a fan of the dangers that await the group." She would announce grimly. It wasn't that she didn't doubt that Gin could keep the Priests away from them if they did. She just would prefer a safer route if optional, for a brief moment she would allow anyone to step forward before she would decide what to do, practically already spinning on her heels.

Ginjo's grin only widened, "As if I'd be beaten by these punks!" he called over his shoulder, before narrowing his gaze on the monks that were drawing their daggers, the Leader slowly rose up to his full height as his snakelike tongue flicked. "... Tch. Seems I can't hold back against you, hm?" He murmured as Ginjo's eyes narrowed slowly- there were still about twenty small fry along with their leader, but thankfully the hallway was narrow- barely enough room for two men to stand side by side. Likely to make the prisoners feel claustrophobic, but for now it only helped his cause.

Slowly, the man's eyes dilated and went vertical as his body was slowly coated in scales- "I am a blessed warrior of Ariadne! A disgusting pig like you ... has no place in my holy grounds!" he roared, the claws and fangs elongating as the man changed entirely- his form altering as his neck and head seemed to conjoin into a singular large muscular torso and head- a large jaw clenched and ready. Snakelike eyes staring down at Ginjo who narrowed his own, "A devil fruit huh ..."

The thing hissed at such a term, "I am blessed you ignorant pig!" Suddenly the wide short sword of green stone was drawn from the robes as the blade slashed down, Ginjo parrying it to the side as his eyes narrowed slightly- It was far heavier now. So he was the type to boost his physical power with his Devil Fruit ... he pondered what else it granted him access too. He soon learned as the man's face twisted and suddenly released a blast of venom that shot toward him- needing him to roll to the side, not knowing what it may do as it collided with the stone wall instead. The other Monks were staying back- signaling that this high priest was their end game and they had never seen him beaten in all likelihood.

Fine by him. He heard the cages unlocked as she asked for help and guides, raising the blade as he grinned slowly, "That all your 'blessing' has? You spit snot and get green and ugly?" His mocking smirk made the lizard-man's jaw clench in rage, "Why you insolent little ..." A snicker filled the air as he shot forward and the blade lashed out, they pair now evenly clashing blade, fist and knee as one tried to counter the other again and again. The impacts were evenly matched, however the priest was just slightly faster with this new transformation. Ginjo in his normal state noticed that, but he was able to predict the untrained priests movements well enough that the difference didn't matter as he ducked a blow, and his blade nearly bit flesh- blood splattering the wall, a sizable nick on the priests shoulder who hissed and fell back.

Eyes narrowed as Ginjo grinned and flicked the blood from the tip of his blade- "... Not bad, lizard man. But your still not on my level." He called mockingly, while in the back of his mind he knew he was pushing the priests buttons, as well as his luck. He had to though, he needed their entire attention. Meanwhile- as the question was asked in the back, one older woman slowly rose up- "... I am a medic. Let me see her ..." She stated in a suprisingly strong tone, her eyes strong as she shakily rose, malnurishment and pain evident but still moving toward the young girl as she quickly started fixing the rough patch-up job on the girl, hearing the question she frowned.

"There's a secret passage ... but I don't know where it goes. It may go deeper, it may go up ... it's in the main room, under the metal grate of the sacrificial altar ..." She stated as she finished up, and handed the girl off to one of the young men to cary. "You did well. I didn't need to fix much." She explained simply as she slowly stood up, and waited for the marine woman to lead them- it was her choice.

Haruka's eyes glanced through the crowd, a lot of faces which looked scared, confused and even a few angry. Though happy as they may be for the Marine intervention, still the act of getting captured by some whacked out Priests were not setting well. Those who had the nerve could also be found equipping themselves with some of the various weapons or tools which lined the walls of the holding area. At least that was taken care of, but still, no one was coming forward with what she truly needed. Sighing a bit to herself, no one seemed to step up immediately, and as such, Haruka would begin to turn on her heels when an old voice called out. Stopping her motion, her eye's would lock onto the older woman woman who had stepped up with medical training. She even requesting the girl, whom Haruka would oblige with a small smile on her face. It wasn't that she was happy to get rid of the girl, but she certainly was not feeling at all confident in her work. Though she would feel a tinge guilty when she watched the older woman move. Her state of health was not good, and even she could see it as she was very shaky, even considering her age.

"When we get you all back to the base, we can look into getting everyone fed and taken care of for the time being." She would add, almost as if to try and bury her guilt. Still, she would watch as the woman worked, a feeling of a needle in her stomach each and every time the woman passed over anything she did. Fully expecting to be made a fool of in front of these people, though the woman had other plans. Passing the girl off when she was done, she would offer her a congratulations on actually doing a passable job. A shock considering her lack of training, but then again, Gin did sort of tell her what to do. So the victory was a bit tainted in her mind, but her handy work has to count for something right?

She would also take a note of her mentioning a secret passage, and this was something that Haruka would take a moment to consider. "Well, it's a passage, so it has to lead somewhere right?" She would say unintentionally aloud as she considered it. In the end, she would suddenly just move along, taking a quickened pace as she took the rough directions from the older woman, motioning for them to follow her as she sought it out. It was pretty clear she wanted to at least look at it before she came to a final decision. What she found however wasn't something that was a complete secret. A Large double door which was of course locked. Fortunately, the one she had passed the keys off too would be quick to run to the front and unlock the door for her as she was kicking the ground in frustration. After a few tries, a loud click could be heard and the doors would swing open, to reveal a large tunnel, lined with stone which led presumably underground. Torches lined the walls to light the way.

It could be heard that a few people were not a fan of the "spooky" trail they had before them. Though all it did was encourage Haruka more to take it. "By the looks of it, this can be one of two things. One it could be a passageway which takes us to something they don't want us to see." She would say quite ominously and not at all helping her case with the civies she was escorting. "On the other hand, it can be a secret passage used to get into and out of the church undetected. Perhaps just an escape route if things go bad." This would brighten some faces as a hopeful feeling washed over them. This only causing Haruka to shake her head at how easily their emotions were swayed. "I want the ones with weapons to line the front and back of the group, and you." She would say to the man whom was handed the wounded girl from earlier, equipped with a sword, he carrying her on her back with ease.

She would then turn to the Doctor whom she would ensure was positioned to the center of the group. "Never leave her side, make sure the both of them are safe." Some faces contorted into a bit of fear once more, their hopefulness long gone once they found out she had made up her mind to go through. This man seemed to remain stalwart however as he nodded his head, only causing Haruka to return the favor. it wouldn't be long before they would pass through the doors, and Haru would notice something of importance. Once the group was through, the doors would be shut and a loud click of the door locking itself again would echo through the passageway. This causing many of them to jump a bit from the sudden noise. "Hey you with the keys, get up here." Haru would call as the group was halted, and the person would soon meet up with her. All she would do was point to another set of keys hanging from a hook. "Grab those, if at worst, I don't want anyone to be able to follow us one way or the other if it comes down to that."

The clash of the Lizard-man and Ginjo filled the hallway, taking it up so none could even get past. He trusted that Haru would take care of the civilians- and as such focused simply on holding the priests back. He heard the grate and so did the priests, and judging from how suddenly the head priest pushed alot harder to try and get by before getting tripped and nearly impaled before rolling away- it was a way out as he grinned a bit. Good, they would get out through another exit instead of having to try and fight they're way through this mess in front of him. Taking several slow breaths he raised the blade and clashed the blade once more- with the lizardman who was getting more and more aggravated.

This had a mixed effect, on one side it made him far easier to predict and counter- on the other he was getting much stronger and faster as his rage continued to fuel him, his frustrations making him more difficult to clash with. Finally the priests blade slashed down- and he barely sidestepped as the clawed hand came in from the right, nicking his side as his eyes narrowed in pain, dodging the kick that followed as his hand grabbed the priest by the knee. Balancing on it as he released several hard kicks into the lizard-man's face, causing him to hiss and snap at the leg in time to have a seastone blade sink into his cheek- immediately his eyes widened as his form was forced to its normal form.

He fell back, stumbling as he hissed- transforming slowly back to the lizard hybrid form. "That blade holds the power of the dark lord ...!" He hissed in rage, narrowing his eyes on Ginjo who slowly straitened, dusting himself off and eyeing the shallow wound from the man's claws. "... It's seastone, yes. The perfect counter to you devil fruit users." He commented simply- before slowly he took a breath and raised his blade up- taking a Kendo stance, "Well? Are you coming?" He asked simply with a slow grin that spread over his lips as he watched the Lizard now much more wearily watching him through narrowed eyes- not trusting the blade.

"Ah ... not so cocky now, oh blessed piece of shit?" He stated mocking, goading the priest into another snarling attack as he lashed out with his claws- to curse as the blade took advantage of the sloppy attack and sliced the tips of the fingers, the moment the blade made contact his powers fading as his fingertips flew in all directions- a howl of pain filling the air as he fell back. Suddenly as he fell back the other priests charged in, screaming in rage about the fact the "Dark lords servant harmed their blessed leader" he was forced to cut down mook after mook, muttering under his breath as he danced circles around them quite literally in the narrow space- they couldn't swarm him, and had no chance.

As the last one fell to their knee's and then their face he slowly eyed the trail of blood leading up the stairs and snorted- he had run away. Turning he shot off, leaping into the grate and following after Haruka and the civilian's, his blade clenched in his hand as he leap along the stone floor. He heard the door shut and skidded to a halt- they would lock it. No point trying to follow. Instead he turned and eyed the way he had come, seemed he had to get out the old fashion way- that was fine he supposed as long as he was careful. Slowly sheathing the blade he moved forward, slipping into the shadows whenever he could- he had taken care of plenty of these priests.

But who knew how many remained- especially with their leader still at large.

As the now designated key holder would claim the next set of keys as per Haru's request. Her reasoning as she made clear, she didn't want to be followed, and unless they had spares around, they were the only ones who could open that door, they were self sealed in this tunnel. Though she was quite unaware of the predicament that they had put their fearless leader into. Still, the group would push on. Slowly they would trek down the long tunnel, the end not quite in sight and the torches seeming to go on forever. The footsteps of the group echoing off the walls. It would come near suddenly that Haruka would raise a hand into the air, fist clenched and signalling the group to halt. Her eye's would narrow a bit as her ears continued to listen. A distant echo not far off, much like that they had been making. Surveying the area around them, she found a set of large boulders off to the side, casting a shadow large enough for them to duck into.

With a quick motion of her hand, she not wanting to make a sound, she would guide the group to a hiding place, getting them to duck under the large rocks and wait out the approaching noise. It wouldn't be too long, though to the scared civies, this time must have felt like an eternity. A few cloaked men would be seen approaching, their heads bowed, hoods up. They didn't spare a glance in their direction which only served their purpose. Whilst many of the group would inwardly cheer for their luck, Haruka was all but smiles. Her face wore a frown, a look that knew all was not well. Sure they would be undetected, but how long before they reached the door, and realized something was wrong when the keys were missing. Surely they would hurry back at some point, and if the group wasn't through the tunnels by that point, then they would have a fight on their hands. It was something she couldn't risk, not when she had an opportunity like now.

She would wait for them to pass, and only then would she explode from the shadows, her blade finding a home in the side of the rear man's neck. The straggler whom was now bleeding out. She would of course set her sights on the others as the thud of the man was heard. They caught a bit off guard by the sudden attack. They would be caught further off guard as a few men whom were armed would also charge from said shadows and swarm them. Just a few priests now had to deal with the many prisoners they held, and they would stand little chance. She almost couldn't help but smile at the sight, not that she was happy to see them act as such, but it was somewhat of poetic Justice. Though, the good feeling wouldn't last as she would soon feel a searing pain shoot through her right shoulder. Though the armed portion of the group were distracted, the others in the shadows would let out a scream.

Turning her attention down, Haruka would spy a steel blade, it's tip poking through her shoulder, it died red with her blood. Her expression was pained whilst her mind was shocked. It wouldn't be long before her attacked pulled free their sword and allowed Haru to turn around to spy who did this, her expression dropping as she did. There stood a young man, a familiar one at that as he wore the same style of clothing as the others. tattered, and dirty. He too was malnourished and filthy. He was one of the prisoners, and he happened to be spinning two rings of keys on a single finger, two ring's of keys she had ordered him to take. Her mind was wracked with pain, both physical and mental as she was deceived by this man. She caught off guard by this, had the priests put him there as a fail safe if someone got the prisoners out? He wore a victorious grin as he had already impaled her dominant arm. "Go!" She would say quite loudly, causing this man to give her a confused glance.

It would be something she was hoping for as it gave her a chance. With quick reflexes, she would kick a leg up, catching the bottom of his hand, and knocking free those rings of keys. As he would be caught off guard, she would snatch them out of the air quickly and toss them behind her, in the direction the group needed to go. In a panic, this young man would try to make a dash for them, but he wouldn't be prepared for her to whip around back and drive a heel into his gut, flinging and rolling him back a few good feet. "Everyone get going! Use those keys and get out of here, you men protect them!" She would quickly shout her orders, as she spied the man slowly getting back up and not looking too happy about it. As she wiould take note of the armed men running back to get the others, she would spy the old woman whom had helped them out early. Digging into her pocket she would pull out her map which would assist them. "Follow it and get back to base." Would be her only command before she sent them off. Soon, they would be quite a ways down the tunnel, and yet they could still hear the blood curdling screams echoing off in the distance behind them.

Ginjo dashed quietly along the tunnels as he avoided the sounds of more priests as best he could- he would love to just remove them but he knew it would take several battalions to truly do so. Even if their head priest wasn't nearly on-level with him, there was only so much ground he could cover on his own. No- what was more important was the freedom of the civilians. Narrowing his eyes he ducked down under a desk smoothly as the feet of several priests thudded past him, daggers out and fully alert- but they were bad at this it seemed. Smirking to himself he hefted himself a bit with a grunt before he rolled and dashed once more.

So far this was going well but if he got to overconfident he would pay for it, instead he leap from stone to stone as he traveled the seemingly never-ending hallways until he managed to make it to the main chamber. Skidding to a halt as he eyed the main door and debated his chances, this was not exactly what he had in mind- he was expecting a window or another way out but they were all ground floor rooms. He couldn't find a single one with a window out, here was the door- but there were stairs he had come down around here as well, he had to make the choice of spending more time in a quickly even more alert temple or get out now and possibly get spotted as he fled.

He decided on option one, spinning and shooting forward again as he tried to locate the stairwell he had shot down earlier. It took him several long minutes to finally locate it, but of course it wasn't that easy. The alarm was sounding and that's when suddenly the rooms started opening around him, tired looking monks moving out yawning and rubbing their eyes- unsure what was going on. He had only a few moments as he spotted the four getting out of rooms between him and the stairs, leaping forward one was shoved to the side, one ducked behind- the next moved to stop him, earning a kick to the gut and a leap off his back over the last one.

Landing at the foot of the stairs he took no time to bounce off his landing and shoot up them, several knives hitting the stairs where he had just been as yells filled the halls. Well. If they needed yet another distraction he was sure giving it to them- he could hear yet more footsteps as the priests pored in, what were they ants?! He blinked as that was actually fairly accurate with the whole religion thing and such, it was their hive mind and they were the ants that did as they were told without question. How pathetic. Gin blinked as he shook such thoughts free of him and he made a mad dash toward the nearest room- finding the window and then cursing as the priests were already trickling in from the inside of the temple to fill the courtyard.

"Geez ..." He muttered, as the steps came to a halt behind him at the door- he didn't have a choice. Leaping off he went airborne as knives flew past his head over him as he fell, slamming and rolling into the earth- kicking one set of ankles he saw immediately and rolling with the momentum to come popping up like a gofer. Ten around him- more coming from the doors, more yelling. He had moments to get the hell out of their area so he had a chance of escaping, he was tired and he could feel something wrong with the wound that the lizard-man had injured him with, it was burning and painful. Cursing under his breath he would leap forward once more- dashing along as he slammed the hilt into several of the priests mid-run. He knocked as many out as possible, finally hitting the exit as he tried to start really hauling ass to get away.

He knew this wasn't the end of them, but their main goal- for now, had been achieved at least.

Inside the tunnel the "fight" if one will, of poor Haruka's life was already on. The poor woman who would find herself forced back into a wall with a thud, her weakened breath being driven from her. Even though it had only been but a few minutes, already her body was ravaged with numerous cuts from this young man's sword. It dripping with her blood which it had collected, mostly from the small rips in her skin. As she stood there, a cascade of crimson which coursed down her body and was beginning to collect at her feet. It was clear to her, he wasn't looking to kill her out right, he was looking to make her suffer, this was ritual. "Do you know what devotion is?" He would ask a bit abruptly, he taking a few short steps to close the distance. She could only weakly lift her head, her eyes looking at the eery smile on his face.

Ever gently, he would raise his sword, allowing the broad side of the tip to come at a rest under her chin, she jerking lightly due to the sudden coldness of it. Though her blood which still resided on it did offer a scant amount of warmth even if it was barely noticable. He using his weapon to further raise her head, forcing her to look him in the eyes. "Of course not, you are but a lost child who pledges their life to false hope." He would practically whisper with a grin, getting his face in close with hers. Though he would be taken back by a small chuckle coming from her as the steel of his sword continued to rest where it was. His grip was felt tightening around the weapon as she would feel his weapon shifting a bit through it. "I suppose you are some martyr for true hope then? Please, you were cast into a jail to rot along with the others by a group of whacked out priests just so they wouldn't have to look at you anymore. You're an embarrassment, way to go champ." The smirk was evident on her face as she weakly spoke. Still, she would muster the strength to work up enough spit in her mouth which would end up launched from her mouth and into his face.

It was only a display of disrespect, and it would have it's effect. Though it certainly wasn't an effect which benefited her. In a huff of rage, this man would step in roughly and drive a knee into her gut, once more taking the air from her lungs as she tried to double over in pain. Though his free hand would be quick to stop her about mid way, he using a minimal amount of strength to simply slam her head back up against the tunnel wall. He taking his sword and bringing it's blade up to her right cheek where he would use the sharp edge to make another small cut which would add to the count. She whimpering slightly from it as it wouldn't be long before she felt that familiar trickle flowing down her skin. Looking down as it, she could already see both her arms littered with them, near ten to each one, with her right still suffering the puncture wound. Her face would have it's first whilst her legs, her pants were tattered with quite the collection itself.

"That's the Devil's tongue, perhaps I should cut it from that infernal mouth of yours." He would threaten, still steaming from what she had said, perhaps it having struck a bit further home that he would like to admit. He was clearly a bit off from the emotional change, it was a chance for Haruka. As he would pull himself closer to her, a hand reaching for her mouth, she would throw her body at him, shoulder checking him hard and knocking him off balance. It would create enough separation for her to bring her right arm up, practically using the momentum of whipping herself around, regardless, she would smash him in the side of the head with the broad side of it. An audible smack being heard as he would be taken back a step or two.

Quick to think, she would kick up a large amount of dirt, sending it into the man's eyes. Now as would be the seeming normal reaction to this, he would of course swing about wildly with his sword as he tried to dig the dirt from his eyes. This would give Haruka a chance to take advantage of the situation, still to weak to lift her right arm, she would try her luck with another tactic. Going for a spinning back kick, though the blood loss, and the cuts on her body. She would manage to get herself whipped around and a foot extending, but the kick itself was far too weak due to the blood loss. Pain surging through her, she would feel herself stumble, and soon, as she would alert him of where she was, she could feel his sword slice down her back. Her eye's rolling white as she let a gasp free from her lips. With a thud, she would fall to her knees before collapsing to her chest.
