Ginjo arched a brow as she actually asked why he was looking at her, "Because you pick fights over small things. I vaguely remember you trying to 'kick my ass' for saying you had cool teeth and your mother saying I could possibly hold me own against you." he didn't bring up the fact he also defeated her by making her dizzy from her own movements and attacks as he danced circles around her- not wanting to hurt her pride. Simply prove his point. "You also are not exactly polite. Bother of which are fine- but not when we're trying to keep a low profile and not step on toes for the first few days we're here." He shrugged, offering an apologetic smile- but it was the truth, and he wasn't about to lie to her.

He clarified as they headed forward, "The trip will be heading inland, but our camp will be by the beaches Dahlia. So you won't be without it for long." He stated simply as they moved on, arching a brow a bit as an idiot tried to push past his own limits, about to tell him to put it down before Haruka got it from him instead. Nodding a bit he continued on, not many people really had his stamina- him taking two was one thing, but one of the men that followed him? Not the brightest idea. Still his ear perked as he listened to the conversation of the two girls, leading them along patiently over rubble and into the grass where there was a path of least resistance- just as Haruka had said there would be.

Appreciation of the Navigator's skill's was an understatement as the travel became quite easy, and he arched a brow at her statement that many called her people vampires, leeches, and so forth. He however, did not expect the reaction from the men- stares. He stopped immediately and his eyes hardened as he looked right at the three that were still muttering among themselves about her skin and eyes- glancing at Dahlia as well. Suddenly Ginjo didn't look like a carefree leader- a hardness came to his eyes, something anyone that knew his mother knew well- it was a glare that even put the fearless Tsukai in his place. Ira's ice cold eyes had passed down the trait, but Ginjo rarely was angry enough to effectively use it.

He was now however. As his hand snaked out, grabbing the center man and lifting him- and his bag clear off the ground above him. "... You will never, look at any of your fellow soldiers like that again." He murmured coldly. Haruka may have wanted to just drop it and move on, but Ginjo didn't work that way- you worked as a team, and didn't just one another, you trusted one another- or you didn't work at all. He dropped the man with a thud as he glared the other two down, they hadn't started it but they had continued what the middle one had started. "That goes for all of you ... if anyone ever does anything like that. I don't care if its joking around, but you don't know how much it hurts to be looked at like that. I won't have it in my crew ... so if you have a problem, get the hell back to the shore. You'll get picked up eventually I'm sure." He stated coldly- there was no reply, no arguments.

Slowly he straitened as his eyes slowly returned to their normal cheerful shine, "Good." With that he turned and headed forward once more- "Haruka, just Banjo please if you insist on that name. Not sir ... Makes me feel old or responsible or something." He commented idly, letting it go as he slid his hands back to his pockets, "But aye. Let's start moving again." he nodded some as the other marines helped the one he had grabbed up- who's legs had turned to jelly as everyone else started moving once more.

"Already said I'd stay in the back." Dahlia concluded with a bit of a listless shrug as Gin felt the need to rag on her about her attitude problems. Having nothing more to say on the matter she would simply turn her attention back to Haruka as she awaited the navigator's response to her prodding questions.

Dahlia released a sound similar to a cackling hyena as Haruka had the nerve to say that she was not normal looking because of some pale skin and different colored eyes when she was standing next to a frigging shark-girl with grey skin, complete with stripes, soulless looking eyes and teeth that suggested she probably ate people's faces for the hell of it.

Some of the men would opt to whisper about Haruka, but she had no need to fear as good guy Gin would promptly leap to her rescue! He would show off his manly, macho muscles of manliness as Dahlia proceeded to slide a fingernail against her teeth, scraping it between her teeth.

Unfortunately having such strange teeth that were meant for tearing apart meat caused great difficulty when trying to eat other foods and even greater difficulty when trying to keep them clean. It was an uphill struggle, but she kept strong and worked diligently - but Dahlia would succeed. Pulling her finger away from her teeth, she would note a piece of spinach on the end of her finger and promptly flicked it away.

Luckily for her, Gin had finished with his little 'lets be friends or I'll drown you' speech, allowing them all to move on.

Lacing her fingers together, she would bring her hands to the back of her head, her elbows pointing to the sky as she strode along the sands, further and further away from her beloved ocean. Sure, Gin assured her that it would not be for long, but he might have just been telling her that to shut her up.

Licking her lips softly, she would cast a sidelong glance to Haruka, mentally noting that the other had no idea how good she had it with just some pale skin and heterochromatic eyes.

"You think you got it bad, snow white, you should try looking like this for a day," she chuckled, stalking forwards without so much as a glance back at the other people that were accompanying them. As far as she could tell the lot of them were just cannon fodder anyways.

Haruka could only frown as she watched the man be lifted up above Ginjo, not so much that he was one of the ones who gawked at her. The explanation of her story, as well as her home island did earn that in her eyes. The fact that it came down to this was what made her frown, the fact that it was, at least in her eyes her fault. She would raise an arm in protest, looking to speak, but the words wouldn't seem to make themselves known to the young woman's mind. Instead she would find that arm lowering back to her side as she simply lowered her head, ashamed. She offering a pat on the back of the man whom was dropped as she passed him by. At the very least she could hope to make peace over this with him, even if he and she never spoke to one another, this action could be used to put ones mind to rest, right?

She would just quietly move behind her two superiors, nothing really coming from her. Though Dahlia's voice would ring out, causing her to snap to attention. It was funny already to the young woman, this shark girl just seemed to get a smirk from her, as she could already tell that Dahlia was not one to remain quiet. It being a nice change of pace from that stiff, Malatoff who only screamed at her. She would mention that she could look like her for a day, even going as far as to refer to her as Snow White. It would only lighten the mood further for the woman who only shrugged her shoulders at the remark. "It's not that I'm ashamed, it's my heritage after all. Even if it looks like I'm trying to hide it now, just wait till nightfall." With a nod of her head, she would offer a small chuckle.

A chuckle which would be shared once more as Ginjo would react to her referring to him as sir. Once more being reminded of Malatoff who would have skinned her if she referred to him as anything BUT sir. Although the desire was certainly was there to be a bit more clever with nicknames. It was of course refreshing to hear that he shared her desire for less formalities. "Well then, Ginjo it is." She would say with a small laugh before simply pushing on, looking forward to what lie ahead for them.

He sighed as Dahlia took it wrong- as per usual, and just face-palmed as he gave up. Shaking his head a bit, she may be pretty but he was fairly sure her personality had not improved at all. Instead he simply let it go and continued to move forward, keeping the gloves on so that he could keep the skin covered as he trotted along. He was not exactly extatic about this idea of Tetzou's anymore- he almost felt like Tetzou was pushing her onto him, sure he likely wanted what was best for his daughter as well- but this was just kind of a dick move.

Sighing his head visibly went down as they moved through the landscape, until after about twenty minutes- making good time even if Dahlia and Haruka were likely talking. Ginjo didn't partake, his energy seemed to have depleted a bit- he wasn't a unlimited source of joy like his father was, he was an optimist but he was also normal. Dahlia's attitude wasn't what he had expected, and he had already clashed with his crew. This was why he didn't want responsibility ... he debated the thought he had on his parents as he had so many times. At first he had called the Idea of being a revolutionary the "easy path".

But now he was not so sure. Rubbing the back of his neck he sighed a bit and shook his head- for now he was a Marine, and that is what he would remain. This in mind he straitened his back just a bit, seeming to at least perk up some. Once they finally got to the outcropping by the beach, it was about fifty feet from the edge of High-Tide, with large chunks of rock angled into the air away from the crash of the waves- it would act as good natural cover from the wind and water spray of the sea. The ground was a mixture of sand, gravel and large rocks. Rubbing his neck a bit he set the two bags down and eyed the stone.

"We need to get a camp set up. Five of you are with me- we're going to clear this out, no large rocks. Make two separate piles in a donut shape, we need two fire pits so they'll be useful. Get the ground as smooth as you can for the tents." He glanced toward the other five, "You all listen to Haruka, find out the nearest location of a forest and gather as much tinder and wood you can for the fires to last the night. Haruka- if you could help them with directions and then start locating the most likely places the revolutionaries would hide, I'd appreciate it."

He then glanced at Dahlia. There was no point asking her to work if he wanted to hear the end of it- then an idea hit him and he kept a polite face. "Dahlia, if you don't mind can you gather some sea vegetables from the ocean? If you don't mind maybe some clams and muscles as well- or any other sea life you're ... comfortable with." He concluded, figuring she would enjoy the water and have fun while actually still doing work- but she didn't need to realize that to heavily.

Dahlia arched a bit of a brow as Haruka told her to 'wait until nightfall', though she was not entirely sure what the girl meant by it. Did she glow in the dark, perhaps? She was pretty pale, and hey, a walking candlelight could prove to be pretty useful for navigating in the dark. If they lost her she would be easy to find, but that also meant that other people would be able to find them as well.

Furrowing her brows as she pondered this, the sharkgirl continued to stride along at her own pace. Shoving her hands into her pockets, she would begin to slouch as they moved inland, though somehow managed to keep her complaints to a minimum - perhaps knowing that she would soon be returning to her beloved ocean quelled her desire to be outspoken about her distaste for their current situation.

When the shores came into view once more a sigh of relief would leave her lungs. The young woman seemed to get excited once more as she pulled herself out of her slouch and began to near the front of the group instead of lagging along in the back.

Idly listening as Gin gave commands to the other marines, she would rest her hands on her hips, eyeing him a little as he moved on to dish out her duties.

Gin barely had the word 'ocean' out of his mouth when Dahlia's boots went flying and she promptly began to half run and half hop across the sands - attempting to roll up the legs of her pants as she eagerly skittered towards the shoreline.

As she neared the water she slowed after hopping a line of rocks which were still moist, having easily spied the navy and black colored shells gleaming in the sun.

"Oooh. Looky, looky~" She chimed, beginning to pry the shellfish off of the rocks. "No hard feelings, but you're not a fish so Imma devour you." She warned, tossing a mussel up and down in her palm.

"Mn..." Dahlia murmured to herself, suddenly realizing that she had nothing to hold her catch. Setting the mussels she had already pried free upon a relatively flat rock, she would allow her eyes to scan the beach in search of something suitable.

However, there was not much of use laying on the sands, some driftwood and broken shells appeared to be the extent of it at a glance, but a closer look allowed her to spy something hiding among the dried kelp that stuck to the rocks.

Reaching into the dried kelp, she would pull forth some netting that had likely been torn from a fisherman's netting. It wasn't a huge piece, but it was enough to use as a makeshift backpack to carry her haul.

Seeming proud of herself, she would shake the dried kelp off of the netting and head back over to the mussels she had already freed. Tossing the net down, she would spread it out as much as possible before tossing the shellfish into the center and promptly begin to scavenge once more.

Haruka didn't find it particularly hard to keep up, though the bag was certainly getting heavy across her shoulder. Each step rocking it and causing her to wince just that much more. It was only a twenty minute trip, but by the end of it, even she would find herself rolling her right shoulder a bit to get some feeling back into it. Still, it wouldn't be long after that duties were being dished out, something she would listen to diligently as she continued to rotate some feeling back into her limb. Gin taking quite a few of the men with him to set up camp, she herself would be given another five to set out into the forest.

Her own orders quite different than the others, hers to locate the most likely places the enemy would bed down. Unfortunately as a team of five and without much bearings on the island itself. Physically scouting these areas she found to be the most likely would be out of the question. At least in the mean time, after all she was a mappy locator girl, not a sneaking into your backyard girl. Still, locating it would be easy enough if the map layout was still fresh in her mind, she stilling having it on her to look over as they did their deed.

She couldn't help but find a grin forming on her lips as she looked her team over, actually being over people was a thought indeed. Malatoff would have never trusted her to spend the night as lookout, let alone this. Another reason for her newly found glee would be the fact that the man whom was roughly lifted and set down by Gin was within her ranks. Hopeful optimism on her part that she could at least try and show him there were no hard feelings. Opening the map she would begin to look it over, easily locating a forest, not at all far from the coast. Just over a hill in fact, just past it. "Alright, well, grab your supplies gents, because we're now moving." She would say with a touch more enthusiasm in her voice than previous. Perhaps her opening up a bit more around these people.

Still, as they pressed on, she giving a slight wave back toward the coast to Gin, she watching as Dahlia was already submerged into the water. Letting out a small giggle to finally see that the shark girl was back where she wanted to be. She would turn her attention forwards as only after a good ten minutes, they were passing their first set of scattered trees, and they would only become more numerous as they moved on, entering the forest proper. Her red and golden eyes respectively, going from side to side as she mentally sifted through what this ground had to offer. Noting her environment as she assumed all great navigators did to see if the land would offer her any assistance, even if they didn't know exactly what kind of help they were looking for, it had to count for something, right? Taing a quick look behind her, she leading these men through the expanses of trees, making sure they were still with her, she couldn't help but smile and wondering what the forest held for her and them.

It didn't take to long with five soldiers to get the area cleared, gathering the massive and larger rocks into piles that were then formed into two large fire pits that were dug out for safety. Ginjo brushed his hands off as he rose up, "Alright. Time to set up base, get the materials out for the barriers and tent platforms." They hadn't come out here completely empty handed, he had already seen the supplies, he wouldn't be building any buildings out of what they had but he could get plenty of platforms to get them off the sand directly to put the actual tents down on them. The sound of his hammer falling rapidly filled the air- he was good at building, fixing, repairing, it was his passion- and why he had expanded his horizons so much, taking the best from both his parents.

Making sure he got everything settled and working, there was now thirteen separate platforms set up- one for each tent scattered around the rocky area's. Once that was done he got some basic barriers erected using the remaining spare wood, nails, and large stones that were to big to be used for the actual fire-pits, it wasn't much cover- but combined with the bushes that they were placed behind it gave a fairly sturdy place to get behind if they were put under fire. The large rocks behind were at least three feet thick and at their shortest spots seven feet tall- so they would be fine from behind, at least that was something. In total, for a few hours work he was satisfied with the base of operations that they had gotten together.

Once all the tents were setup, the marines sent to get tinder and materials would likely be returning and it wouldn't be long before two large fires were going as the sun was beginning to set, the island beginning to darken as the odd gravestones cast ghostly long shadows. Ginjo would finally relax onto one of the large stones set for the positions as they waited on Dahlia to return with the main course as they got the basics done- none of them were chef's, but you didn't need to be a chef to cook. They would get a basic meal ready of the seafood and sea-veggies that Dahlia had gathered, combined with the natural vegetation that the other group sent out had managed to gather up as well.

Finally as everything settled, Ginjo would be satisfied to just sit down with everyone and eat the meal alongside them all. His eyes trailed toward Dahlia as he smiled just a bit, "Thank you Dahlia. It's good." He commented idly, eyes trailing toward everyone else- "Good work everyone. We got a secure base up, with a meal we didn't have to dip into our rations to make- and a water source. Good first night with our limited time we had." As the darkness began to settle a few moments after this, his eyes moved to Haruka- "Haruka, did you find any likely locations that people hiding from the law would go to avoid attention and stick to the shadows?" He asked curiously, he didn't expect to much as all she had to go on was maps- but a general idea would be a good place to begin for tomorrow.

After Dahlia had scraped pulled free any mussels that were collected in the little cluster and tossed the dead ones aside, she would venture along the beach in search of some other sort of food that the group could eat. There were a lot of people to feed so a few meager mussels weren't going to go far.

As her bare feet touched down on a patch of sand she paused as her foot touched something hard, initially believing it to be a rock. The female lifted her foot a little, looking at the small portion of 'rock' protruding from the sand as a thought finally hit her. "Hm." She murmured, bringing herself to a crouch and using a finger to dig around the visibly portion of what turned out to be a clam.

"Niceee," she hissed, placing the clam aside before crawling across the sand, using her bare hands and feet to detect more clams.

After finding a little over a dozen of the shellfish Dahlia would conclude that this too was not a very efficient or time friendly means of collecting food for such a large crowd. Bringing the clams back to her net, she glanced across the surface of the water for a few moments before carrying her net a little closer to the waters edge.

Without bother to remove her clothes, she was a fishman, so wet clothes didn't really bother her, she would make her way into the water, walking in until she was up to her waist, she would then dive into the chilly waters.

Skimming along just about the ocean floor, her oddly colored eyes danced in search of anything that looked like food. The salt water provided a host of critters for their dining pleasure, so it wasn't long before she started picking up scallops every few meters. When she managed to collect about six or seven and her hands were full, she would make her way back to the shore once more to safely deposit them in her makeshift sack before returning to the water.

She trudged about like this perhaps a dozen times before spotting it - the crowning glory of sea life. The tastiest, largest morsel of seafood that she had yet to lay eyes upon. A lobster!

Needless to say, the creature did not stand a chance against the shark girl, who swipe it off of the ocean floor before it even managed to notice her. Gripping it by the tail and danging it downwards, she grinned a little as she emerged from the water with such a trophy of a catch. After typing the lobsters tail to the netting and setting a rock upon the length of netting nearest it to get it from getting to her shellfish, she would return to the water with a single thought in mind.

Find more lobsters.

Dahlia had no idea how long she was scavenging for food, but by the time she had trudged back to the shore she had collected a lobster for each person, a head sized ball of seaweed, a few dozen mussels and scallops, as well as fifteen clams.

"Oi, Gin, Haruka, look what I got!" She proudly declared as she reached the camp, raising the 'bag' in the air to show off the dangling lobsters. "I found a calm cove with still waters that was full of tasty things~" Dahlia bragged, passing the sea life off to someone that actually felt like cooking she would flop down with a sigh.

The girl seemed to have tired herself out as she sat quietly and ate her meal a little ways away from everyone else, her back to the fire as she munched upon the meaty seafood as she idly listened to other people as they spoke.

Fortunately, their job was easy. Set to get tinder and wood for a fire that was meant to last all night, and what better place than a forest. With a grin on her face and with open arms, Haruka would courtesy with a motion of her arms as if suggesting to the men without a word of "after you". Of course they would look to one another in a bit of confusion as to the quirky nature of their navigator. Though considering what happened to the last guys who did so, they wouldn't linger on the thought long and just went about their work. Haruka would watch them for a moment, to ensure herself things were in hand before she would excuse herself to a nearby stump to study the map.

Eye's glancing over it as she opened it up in her lap. Her eyes would delicately survey each and every minute detail. This would make an ideal camp, oh wait if they were smart they would use this. Things which would play out in the young navigators mind. Though she would have to consider what she knew of the island and of the missions and.... Her eyes would shoot open wide, her teeth clenching as she let in inward breath overtake her. It was a shotgun blast going off inside her head. Fortunately the men would finish their task in time to interrupt her thoughts for the moment. She taking her own share of the lumber with her as to make thins easier on the men as she walked silently back to camp.

It would appear as if everyone was returning back to a central point about the same time. Gin having never left, and Dahlia returning from the ocean, shouting about what she had. It would be enough to get an eager wave out of the pale woman, but as she approached and Gin asked the question, it would be short lived. " As far as I can tell Sir, er Gin." She would be quick to correct herself, her mind too focused on the information she had to remember that formalities were unwanted here and old habits would take over in the absence of attention. "As far as I can tell, there are a number of places they can be hiding. One in particular in a cove near the other side of the island from us. Although...." Her voice would trail off a bit as she looked from beyond her hood with a set of eyes that suggested she herself didn't even like this.

"You did say before that some of the Priests were allied with the Revolutionaries. This may be pure speculation at best, however from what I know of the island from the reports. I would almost wager that if that was true, they could be hiding out with a pack of....not so holy Priests." Her words would generate some whispers amongst the crew. A view who wanted to question what the "leech" meant by that entirely. She could sense it, though she wouldn't dare turn to fade them, not out of fear, but respect and not wanting to address them as if she were Captain, that was of course reserved for the actual Captain, Gin. She would remain professional and facing the man in question. "These Priests will kill you if you don't pay your respects to the dead, some misguided ideal of some sort. Regardless, not many would hike that way." It would be all she said, her last words rather suggestive.

Ginjo blinked as he glanced up at Dahlia as she came prancing back so happily, chuckling with a grin. "Awesome! We'll have a real meal beyond some veggies from the forest- I'm glad. Thank you Dahlia." He smiled wider as she seemed proud of herself- good. His plan worked perfectly it seemed. Glancing toward Haruka and the men he would motion for Haruka to sit- no need to stand and be so formal about things after all. Slowly he closed his eyes, listening quietly as his fingertips touches, forming a sort of pyramid within his palms as he considered this information silently for several long moments. The preists here were meant to be peaceful- but he knew what she spoke of was correct, there were several chapels known to worship the dead, not just pay their respects.

Slowly he opened his eyes and nodded slowly. "The pirates themsleves are likely in the cove. Being close to the water for escape as well as having a view of the entire islands side to watch for other ships. But the revolutionaries recently took heavy hits from Leander and the island is a wreck in some area's even now. They'll be in hiding ... and likely with the priests as you said." he slowly glanced toward Haruka as he nibbled at the leftover's of his lobster- he had eaten everything, from the head, to the tail, and shell. Slowly his eyes narrowed, "If their with the Gravewalkers- then we need to be careful. Their mad- not stupid." He pondered quietly before he slowly raised a hand and snapped to get the murmuring crews attention.

"We need two people on watch constantly throughout the night. Youngest will take first shift and will go toward Oldest, rotating every two hours through the night. Dahlia, Haruka, and myself won't be taking the shifts." This got mumbles of favoritism which Ginjo brushed off, "Your all weak. We need to sleep if there's a serious fight- unless you like the idea of having your only strong hitters being half asleep when we're attacked by revolutionaries, insane monks, and pirates?" That shut them up as they stopped mumbling and starting whispering to check ages so they would know their order to switch shifts.

Nodding, satisfied with this he turned toward Dahlia and Haruka- "So now the question becomes Pirates, or Revolutionaries and insane monks- which first?" He asked, arching a brow- obviously wanting both of their opinions. He would make a decision after he was sure that he had both opinions and had considered it carefully for both negatives and positives- he didn't want to bicker over this, simply have multiple opinions and ways to look at the issues as a whole. A smart leader made sure he got others opinions, he didn't just snap out orders- that was a main difference between him and that man- Malatoff.

Dahlia intently munched down on her meal with little regard to what most of the people near her were saying. They weren't really talking about anything that she could help with, anyways, and even if they were there was no saying that she cared to get involved with the conversation when there was a plate of food in her lap.

"People killing in the name of their religion? That's unheard of!" She sarcastically uttered to herself between a mouthful of lobster - which frankly made it sound a lot more like 'pupl kirring n da nom ov der rerigion? Dat's unerd ov!' than what she was actually trying to say.

Tossing the empty shells upon the sand, she would crack open the last claw, devour it's insides in a manner reminiscent of a vacuum cleaner, and slowly set her equally empty plate aside, stretching a little lazily, content now that she had a full belly. Patting her stomach gently, she finally scooted around to face the rest of the group, her oddly colored eyes dancing a little as she scoffed.

"Noisy bunch of bitchy whiners." She idly commented as the men questioned their orders. "I wonder how my dear old man would feel about such unrest among the marines that he sent to aid us..." Smirking faintly, she cast a glance towards Haruka, then Gin as she contemplated which of the groups she wished to meet first.

"Never seen an insane monk before." Dahlia mused, stroking her chin a little thoughtfully. "That could be fun." With another stretch, the shark-girl flopped herself back in the sand, her hands folding behind her head and cushion her skull as she stared into the sky, at the many stars that were slowly beginning to appear. "Wonder if they're martial artists," she would go on to contemplate, licking her lips softly. It was hard to imagine monks as being any other sort of fighter, but not outside of the realm of possibility, she supposed.

As she was laying there, a slow, mildly unpleasant realization dawned on her, producing a slight frown.

"... I just put fishy smelling hands in my hair."

Mildly intrigued by the more than hospitable nature that her new Captain was showing to her. Haruka would be a bit hesitant at first but slowly come to take her seat as motioned by Gin. Clearly Malatoff's antics still fresh in her mind, though she would find a natural chair in the form of a large bounder next to the group, closer to the fire for it's warmth. As the sun was setting, it wouldn't be long before it would be as if she were back home. The pitch black of night, the soft glow and crackle of the flames being what was heard. Granted these people were far from the Barbarians she was raised amongst.

Still, as she look covey the information to this man, she would take note to his easy going nature. Something that reflected her own, and would only cause a breath of relief to escape her. This formal shit was just too exhausting to keep up for so long. It taking it's toll on the quirky woman and it showed through her eye's. A somewhat distant stare as she simply focused on the fire. It wouldn't be until she was handed her dinner that she would be snapped back to attention. Spying the plate of Lobster and other assorted goodies. A feast for the eyes, especially for such short notice. Though she would wear a grin on her face, the first bite would be somewhat of a disappointment for young Haruka. The meal was good, it was just a bit....clean for her. The more she ate, and the more she longed for it to be a cut of red meat, prepared rare just for her. Perhaps the rumors of being a leech held more than just a namesake.

She would eat a bit haphazardly, perhaps even more so than Dahlia and it only got worse the less that she had left. Her disappointment would perhaps be backed by her inexperience with a Lobster. Should she cut here or here, and what of the claw? She couldn't help but stare intently, as if entering a battle of wits with that appendage. Poking it curiously and perhaps cutely, slowly retracting her finger a bit at the touch of it's armored exterior. Briefly she considered biting it, but she doubted very much that her teeth would enjoy that one. Though there was more to be enjoyed, she would put her plate aside, a mostly eaten lobster with more goodies to be had, if only she knew about them. Still, she was certainly content with what she got.

Her eyes would be brought to Dahlia, catching the words of the shark girl as she addressed what the conversation had been about. Where they would go, and whom their first target would be. She had briefly heard the conversation prior during her meal. With it completed however she could turn her attention to it. Though it did shock her that a lowly crewmen like herself, just based off of her Navigation skills would be brought to give her opinion as if she meant something. With a shrug of her shoulders, she would dismiss it near immediately with a "life is funny that way" mentality as she looked at the pressing matter. "The cove is the easiest to get to, but that farthest away. The Graveyard though closer is over rough terrain." Her tone was a bit quizzical as she simply ran off the muscle memory of her studies around that map.

Her information would be spot on should it be questioned, but her opinion was not stated, at least not yet. "Personally, I think the Pirates are the correct target, eliminate the smallest threat both for morale, and to gain control of another way off the island for anyone else. As well as to commandeer any supplies they may have to be of any use against the other enemy." Though her advice seemed quite wise, tone she took was very misleading. Haruka would say this practically during a yawn, content with her belly fed. She stretching her arms over her head as she reclined back a bit, the sounds of bones popping being heard as she got a bit more comfortable. A lazy glance would be given to the shark girl who had expressed the opposite idea. "Although I'd hate to disappoint.....Dahlia? Was it?" She would question, finding the realization that she genuinely forgot a bit discerning. She never having addressed Dr. Teeth by name yet. "Either way, I'm just a Navigator, my opinion doesn't mean jack in the chain of command." She would dismiss with a disinterested wave of her hand.

A brow arched as he watched both the girls practically inhale their food with a soft chuckle, unlike ether he ate the Lobster whole- shell included, strong teeth and jaw cracking it down as he knew the calcium would be good. He also of course had his fathers teachings nailed in his head- no matter the creature, if you killed it- you used or ate every bit of it that was able to be eaten. The only bits that were left over were the intestines and other non-edible internal organs. Still he finished on-time with them, despite not inhaling his food the fact he didn't have to bother cracking and picking the shell made it fairly even on speed.

Watching Dahlia's reaction to putting fish in her hair- he slowly blinked, adn then grinned and laughed softly- "Well. That reaction was adorable." He muttered softly, chuckling to himself as he went to his bag and pulled out a cloth for a towel, as well as a small bar of traveling soap- basic traveling gear for a trip. "Here. You can use the boiled water and the soap to clean up your hands, face and ... hair." He snickered again softly at the fact she managed to make her hair of all things smell like fish, but also her cute expression she had given when she had managed such.

He listened quietly to the pair, his eyes trailed toward her- "Everyone's opinion matters, Haruka. I would ask the other's as well but ..." He watched one past the girls picking his nose- and grimaced. "I believe the three of us together will suffice." Clearing his throat a bit he then looked toward Dahlia, "You'll get to fight the Priests ether way, and you'll get to crack some heads anyway with the pirates. Haruka's recommendation makes sense- with a few minor tweeks. So if your alright with it, we'll go for the Pirates first." He waited patiently for her answer as he glanced toward his blade and reached over, grasping it by the hilt as he raised it to his lap- he would be needing it soon it seemed.

Sighing a bit he resigned himself to such, focusing once more on the girls- should Dahlia agree, he would tap a finger at the blades hilt lightly. "If it's settled, we'll head to the Pirates out-cove tomorrow." He smiled softly, "For now we all will need sleep and rest. With any luck we'll be able to handle them shortly and have a more solid base for us to maintain as a defense. I don't mind our current setup for a night or two, but more than that is pushing it in enemy territory." He frowned a bit, glancing at the darkness before he stretched and slowly leaned back- seeming content enough on the rock as his eyes would start to slide shut, apparently content to sleep.

"Good night, both of you." He commented simply as the other marines began to get into their own platform-tents and head to sleep with one on-duty by the flames on one of the taller rocks. He had to admit- the island had a peaceful feeling to it, though hopefully it was a good thing. It would allow the little group to properly sleep, yawning a bit he stretched out on the rock and used his hands as a makeshift pillow that he rested himself into. Several miles away across the island, the scout running back and slamming into the sands to the captains ship with the warning- Marines had arrived on the island.

Dahlia scowled, barring her teeth a little, as Gin suddenly... complemented? Her out of no where. Watching him, and quite honestly thinking about just biting him on the ass as he rifled through his pack, she huffed and closed her eyes for a few moments with a bit of a grumble. As he returned with some soap and a cloth, she scoffed a bit. "It's not too late for me to drown you in it." She grumbled, but did as he had suggested irregardless. It was bad enough that she kinda looked like a fish, she really didn't need to smell like one too.

Also taking the time to wash some of the salty seawater off of herself, the teen would just sort of absently listen to whatever was going on around her. Haruka seemed to think that going after pirates first was a good idea, because reasons and stuff that sort of made sense but were annoying irregardless. She had been seeing pirates for as long as she could remember, so they weren't really all that interesting anymore unless they had a cool devil fruit power.

Apparently their navigator was a tad senile as she managed to forget her name already. How someone managed to forget the name of a person that looked as uniquely as Dahlia sort of escaped her, but she merely nodded. "Aye, still." She assured, tossing the cloth into the pot of warm water. Stretching a bit, she spared Gin a glance as he tried to break it down for her like she was a child, in order to assure her that she would eventually get to fight psycho priests, she just had to smash up some mean old pirates to be able to do it first.

"Yeah, sure," she shrugged, deciding to spare herself another round of trying to settle on who to attack first. Truth be told, she didn't much care either way as long as she didn't have to do boring things like paperwork or setting up camp. Stretching and yawning a little, she would slowly bring herself to her feet, dusting off her water logged clothing as she did so.

Heading for her own little piece of paradise for the night, Dahlia would pause. "If anyone wakes me during the night someone better be dead, or someone will be." She assured, before stalking off towards the ocean once more with a lazy stretch and wide mouthed yawn.

All Haruka could do was give a small shrug of her shoulders with a light laugh. It was something to hear that to this man, she had an opinion. If only he had been on that ship for the past few weeks, he would know the hell she had went through for even attempting to speak up. Undermining that old man was grounds for a long winded speech and non-sense which she was still reeling from. [dimgray]"Yeah, well try and tell HQ that."[/color] She would joke, giving a small grin following it as she just seemed to toss the idea away, though she had to admit, being heard for once was certainly nice.

They would seem to have things in order as Gin would agree with her to a point, that attacking the Pirate's was the better of the two options. Her points made seeming to have some grip on him, though he had another intention other than just raiding their supplies. He wanted to make their base his own along with his unit. Though that would come in the morning and as it stood everything was beginnings to wind down. The night sky holding over their heads and Haruka was only beginning to get going. The young woman whom was finally shedding her large coat, pulling the muffler from her face. She would allow these articles of clothing to come to rest on the rock she was sitting on as she reached a hand back and pulled her ponytail back into place along her back. It would be the first time anyone got to see what this woman had to offer in the category of features. It was easy for her to turn a few heads, but that wasn't on her mind at the moment.

She would instead find herself staring up at Ginjo in disappointment as he wished her and Dahlia a good night as if he were going to sleep. Dahlia herself would also look to be retreating to the Ocean for the night along with the others in their unit. This would leave her to pout as it was her time. She never feeling more alive then at night, not loaded down in clothing, not feeling overly sluggish wanting desperately to just nap until the moon was overhead. "It's not that late..." She would mutter to herself, further in disappointment as she crossed her arms in a light huff. Looking over to the unlucky soul who was "nominated", if nominated meant forced, into being the first to draw guard duty. With a snap of her fingers, she would draw his attention, bringing up a finger to shush him. "I'll take first shift, go to sleep." She would mouth these words, not wanting to make a noise, motioning with her head towards the sleeping quarters.

The solider would jump at the opportunity, and simply allow Haruka to enjoy the night. She only intending on taking the first watch to sit here and marvel at the moon. Though with the breeze during the night, she might take another if she was up for it. She almost couldn't help but look to the Ocean, finding a bit of amusement as she would come to a realization. A first mate who doesn't like to be away from the Ocean, and a Navigator that doesn't like the day light.....what does Ginjo bring to such an odd pairing?
