Milliseconds before Sam's succession of attacks could hit, Sylvander disappeared into thin air and left the girl stumbling awkwardly forward as her slash met no resistance. She desperately checked her blind spots to see where he had gone, finding nothing above and to the sides. Instead, the pink pest was behind, more specifically behind Cobalt. That was the second time she had seen someone teleport that day, as if it had become some new fad. Sam noticed him just in time to see him kick her sidekick towards her like a projectile. Neither had any time to react to the attack, sending the young egoist crashing into Sam as though he had been shot from a cannon. Both crashed against a wall with an unpleasant thud, thoroughly winding them both before they fell to the floor helplessly.

"You'll...never...beat...me..."

Having taken the hit directly, Cobalt was having a lot more trouble recovering than Sam and could barely manage to stand up again. Even the scientist was in bad shape though, wobbling to her feet unstably with her grip on her weapon so weak that it was nearly falling out of her hands. Blood trickled down her forehead and she was most likely covered in bruises, briefly raising the idea that she should get body armour of some sort for situations like this. It couldn't hurt to be too prepared.

As expected, Sylvander rubbed in his obvious advantage ruthlessly, his hair flick and smile becoming more irritating by the second. Sam grit her teeth as she endured the disgrace of being beaten by such a flamboyant fool, unable to offer a comeback to his boasting as she focused more on purely surviving the encounter. Unless someone intervened, it wouldn't be strange for both her and Cobalt to end up dying if this went on. Against those high-speed movement techniques and devastating kicks, escaping would be difficult especially on this island that Sam knew nothing about the geography of.

There was, thankfully, a way out of the bad situation presented to the duo. Before he could go in to finish things off, Sylvander was distracted by a tall, dark-skinned man wearing an unzipped black jacket and long shorts. His shades and well-groomed afro were quite a focus point, and despite not making any attempt to appear threatening Sylvander was still clearly intimidated by him. Rather than the "Violet King", Sam deemed this new arrival much more dangerous and a higher priority to avoid than anyone else she had seen.

That is, until Trevelyan raised his voice. In a commanding tone that sounded very unnatural on him, the monk ordered everyone to leave as he glanced at them all individually. Sam instantly knew that getting on the bad side of this guy would mean jumping into the depths of hell itself, and many of the others who were fighting also seemed to get a similar impression. Even so, the urge that the scientist was getting to leave was not in any way a bad thing. Rather, it left Sylvander and his afro friend with none of their attention on her or Cobalt, allowing them to live another day. Instead the afro chose to be the third person to perform a vanishing act, reappearing over by a woman in the other room and knocking her out instantly with a punch.

Whoever these people were, now that they had begun to retreat it had been made clear that their target was the brown-skinned woman. While Sam, Cobalt and Trevelyan were rather happy to see the troublemakers leave, some of them for different reasons, one man in the other room was having an entirely different reaction. Sam watched as he charged forward in his rage, while she herself backed off slowly towards Trevelyan since she felt she was less likely to die if she waited near him.

"So do you have any idea what just happened?"

Trev looked towards the woman who seemed to be offering him a deal. He looked a bit displeased but spoke to her in his usual tone none-the-less.

"I have no reason to take anyone by force. Whatever your business is with any of these people, it is your own; I don't wish to get involved. I don't wish to do this but I can start counting to five before I start acting upon my previous statements."

Even if Alabella continued, Trev would start counting.

"5.....4......3...-"

Trevelyan ceased his countdown as another figure walked in through the door. Narrowing his eyes slightly, his expression returned to its usual care free self. Blinking a moment later, he realized upon a scan of the room that this man held Alabella's groups attention. He then directed his attention back to the man with the Afro and nice looking clothes; this was more or less how Trev dressed as well. Truthfully, he was baffled as to why so many new people were entering the temple in such a short amount of time. After a moment of speech to his comrades, Trev followed the man's movements as he accelerated.

He watched him punch the woman in the stomach, swing her over his shoulder and then rush back to his original location. Trevelyan let out a soft sigh, irked that his warning to leave wasn't heeded but realizing the man wasn't here for his speech. He would have felt sorry for the woman but he didn't know the circumstances. For all Trevelyan knew, these people who came to his dojo were serial murders. This entire situation wasn't his business, but the temple was. It seemed however, that the man was getting ready to leave which sat well with Trevelyan. Trevelyan raised an eyebrow as the spoke.

"I'm sorry, but I think I'll need a bit more to go off of than a name. If you would, it would be good to have some contact information and where to send the bill to"

Trevelyan said casually. He wouldn't refuse the man's payment since it seemed his faction damaged the monastery the most. Suddenly, a rather loud noise caused him to direct his attention to the other room. As the man ran, Trevelyan kept his cool. His eyes darted back and forth between each of the two. He focused his attention more so on the man who called himself Adam. Narrowing his eyes, he watched his movements closely. Watching for a hint of an attack or readiness. As soon as he saw it he would simply give a "One moment" to Sam before disappearing and reappearing in between the two. His idea was to stop the Afro man's attack using his right hand, directing it away. If Adam attacked with his foot, then Trev would use his right foot to touch the area above his knee in order to stop his attack.

As for Isao, he would simply twist his left elbow outwards, jabbing it into his sternum or upper chest area; most likely causing him to at least stumble back. If there was no attack by Adam, he would still knock Isao back.

"I think this is gone on for far too long. If you have gotten what you need, then please leave. As for you two, I'd also like to ask you to leave the building as well, but seeing as you aren't affiliated with this group, you may stay and help me clean. Seeing as you two did not cause as much damage, I would say that seems fair."

He said as his eyes shifted from Adam to Isao. He also spoke to Sam, though she would most likely only see his back.

Adam remained silent as he listened to the other group talk more so to Trevelyan, though it was soon broken by the raging sound of Isao yelling out, Adam simply turned towards Isao, but didn't do anything to defend him self, as if he knew what was going to happened, Trevelyan jumped in between them and send Isao back with an attack of his own, Trevelyan began to speak again, which sounded more like a final warning then anything else, but as far as Adam was concerned, they got what they wanted and it was time to leave, before leaving how ever Adam spoke out to Isao "Forget about her and give up, she no longer needs you" and like that, the whole group walked out side of the temple and into the distance, only to see Cynthia fade into the darkness along with them.

The only sound that was lift was the crumbling stone falling from the walls that was destroyed, who ever was going to clean it up had a lot of work on their hands, there might of been a few moments of silent, but it was soon broken by a screaming monk "By the name of everything dead! what happened! did them damn pirates attack again, grrrr how are we going to keep up with this?!" the monk was obviously upset as he ran to corner to corner of the temple whiles pulling out what was left of his hair, "the high prists are going to kill me for this!!!"

The monk then noticed Trevelyan as a surprised looked came across his face "T-Trevelyan! what happened? why is the temple in such a ruin? and where is Anabel ? I haven't seen her all day and she was meant to sort out the scrolls for this evenings preys! today is an awful day oh no ho no ho no ho no!" after a while the monk began to act like a headless chicken, not sure what to do as he wondered around the temple looking at all the damage.

Isao's red-fogged vision barely registered the extended arm before it slammed him in the chest, causing his forward momentum to flip him completely around and do what would have been a comical flip, had the situation not been so dire. As it was, he was sent sprawling to the floor, sliding a few more feet before coming to rest in a pile of rubble, watching with fascination as stars and little birds circled his head while the red slowly bled out of his vision and his rational mind reasserted itself.

Dimly as he lay in the rubble, Isao heard Trevelyan chastising him for causing damage to the temple, as well as what sounded like a mild threat of "or else" if he didn't assist in cleaning up the mess before getting out. Then he heard the afro-man telling him to forget about Cynthia, and that she no longer needed him. "I'll believe that when she's a corpse or tells me it herself. I swear I'm going to wreck that globe-haired bastards day." Sitting up, Isao winced as he felt his ribs grate harshly against one another as he inhaled."ouch, okay, wrecking days can wait until i can actually breathe again."

Looking over at Trevelyan, Isao managed to nod in assent that he would indeed help with the cleanup, but the look in his eyes would say that there needed to be more to the conversation than just accusations of blame.

Shortly thereafter a screaming panicked monk wound his way through the chaos, asking questions and bemoaning what his fate was to be, rather humorously all things considered. It caused Isao to reflect on just how different he was now that he'd seen the world a bit. The man was so mundane and pedestrian, possessing none of the verve or drive of life that pirates, bounty hunters, or whatever other adventurers roamed the seas seemed to have.

As the task of clearing rubble got underway, Isao turned to Trevelyan.
"Trevelyan, I understand that you're rather pissed about the building getting wrecked, and I understand that you've basically chosen this place as your shelter from the shit-storm your life is or was, but I'm going to be a little impertinent here and ask you for your help. First off, let me clear the air a bit, Cynthia and I are pirates, not your standard murder, pillage, rape, and enslave pirates, but pirates in the sense that the world government just doesn't like us, or some of the things we did in the past that went against how the powers that be wished them to. Cynthia for example broke up a corrupt marine slave ring, and all I did was evade capture on an island where we were trying to peacefully buy supplies. The marines of course, being the force in power, made the history books say exactly what they wanted them to say, so we're wanted criminals now. We were technically crew-members under Zain S. Sayad, but from what you were saying he's dead now, so we're kind of on our own. I know that none of this really means much to you, but I do know that you're a hell of a lot stronger than me, and I'm going to need your help to rescue Cynthia. If you want i'll pay for your assistance and even pay to fix up the Monastery, hell I'd even give up piracy and settle down if you wanted me to, anything to save her."

Unfortunately, Sam could not get a reply from Trevelyan immediately since he was much to busy trying to break up the fighting that was still ongoing. He flickered as he appeared between the charging martial artist and his target, pushing them apart before giving them a stern warning that the invaders should leave as soon as possible now that they had achieved their goal. As opposed to the angry martial artist, who was very clearly upset and enraged at the kidnapping, Trevelyan cared much more about restoring the monastery and fixing the damage. With that, the group of attackers announced that there was no hope of retrieving the abducted girl and promptly left.

Though she had not directly been the cause of damage to the temple, Sam was still asked to either leave or help clean up the mess. To be fair, she hadn't exactly made an effort to stop the fighting and had instead engaged in it as soon as she could, which did make her partially responsible. Not to mention that she had nothing better to do anyway, so she decided to give her assistance in the matter. Grabbing hold of Cobalt's collar to make sure he couldn't run, she turned to Trevelyan.

"That sounds reasonable, I'll lend my aid. I'll try to get this one in too, but he won't be very enthusiastic about it."

Sam replied, holding up Cobalt as he squirmed uncomfortably.

"Wait! I just remembered I have prior engagements!"

He pleaded desperately, just before a very loud monk came running into the room. He yelled about the chaos that had been caused with a fairly distressed look on his face, eventually noticing Trevelyan and questioning him about the events that had taken place. Also attempting to engage in conversation with the man was the martial artist, whose speech Sam listened in on intently once she heard the word "pirate". He claimed that him and a woman named Cynthia, possibly the kidnapped one, were pirates who didn't really do much villainous stuff and only held the title because they had managed to get on the bad side of the World Government. He offered to assist repairing the temple and even to pay beli in order to get Trevelyan's assistance in recovering Cynthia, showing that he cared about the woman very much.

"Sorry to cut in, but do we have any idea who the kidnappers are? That would probably be a good place to start."

Sam said, offering her opinion on the matter since she had become rather interested in it. Though she wouldn't be doing much immediately, given her aching body and numerous bruises, she was the type to meddle in things not concerning her and was likely to get herself involved in some way.

Trevelyan eyed the man who spoke to Isao, he hadn't made any prior movements and it told Trevelyan enough about the man. As they left, the air cleared, and Trevelyan let out a soft sigh of relief. Soon however, Mosuke entered the temple in a frenzy, asking plenty of questions.

"Ah please calm down Mosuke, I'm truly sorry about the mess; I'll explain everything. Though... will you please stop saying 'in the name of everything dead'? I keep telling you it won't catch on..."

He said as he watched the man run around frantically. Letting out another sigh, he rubbed his temple for a moment before raising his hands to explain.

"Alabella and her group arrived here a few minutes ago to capture a girl. I wasn't aware, but it seems she is a bounty hunter or re-collector of some sort. I don't know the details or if she'll return, but Alabella's people wanted a girl from this group here. They caused quite a ruckus but they left quickly after being asked. Their leader said he would pay for everything but...he didn't leave any contact information. Anyway, myself and these guests will begin cleaning the area. I'm assuming the others are in the mess hall, having their daily bread and water..."

"In any case.."

Trevelyan lowered his hands and turned towards the kitchen.

"Myself and these respected guests will begin cleaning the dinning area if that is alright. You yourself were a carpenter once right Mosuke? Could you please fix that wall over there? We also have a ceiling crack in the dinning area."

He then turned towards Isao and Sam.

"As you two agreed, please come with me to help"

Trevelyan lead the two to the kitchen area where they could better speak. Upon arrival, Isao began his frantic plea. Trevelyan simply looked at him with his eyes narrowed slightly; his expression still calm. Soon, Sam spoke up as well asking about the perpetrators. Trevelyan did not speak, instead he put his hand on Isao's shoulder and patted him.

"Isao"

He said softly after a moment of silence.

"Start fixing up the table please, the hammer and nails are right under the drawer there. Sam, do you think you could give him a hand? I'll whip you something to eat in the mean while"

Trevelyan made his way into the kitchen. Standing only a few feet from the two, he began cracking eggs he had set before into a pan.

"Your mind becomes much more focused upon doing a task. Isao, I want you to be calm when you answer me. You want to save this woman... why is that? What is she to you?"

Trevelyan continued his cooking, stirring the eggs into the pot before breaking them up with a spatula he had on hand. He refrained from looking towards Isao.

"You've told me that you hate the World Government and you've been framed. You tell me you are lawful and good people. But you haven't told me why this girl is so important to you? Why is it that you must save her? Does perhaps your end goal rely on her? She doesn't seem the type to speak much..so how much do you even know about her? You seemed adamant for my help, I'm just a monk."

He then interrupted if Isao if he spoke.

"Speak while he you work as well, if you could."

He listened to Isao as he added spices of wide variety to the meal. When he was finished, he plated the meal, adding vegetables on the side. He brought the steaming hot plate out and reached out to Sam and Cobalt.

"You two seem hungry, here is something that should boast you a bit."

From there, he made his way over to a chair that was still in tact and sat down. He crossed his legs, resting his shoulder on his left knee and his head on his hand. His eyes trailed over towards Sam.

"Sam, Cobalt, tell me about yourselves. Sam, seem interested in aiding Isao. I am curious about your motives as well. Why is it that you wish to help a stranger?"

He was very inquisitive at this moment, perhaps enough to confuse the two as to why he was asking. He didn't say more than that but was wondering what the two were thinking.

"carpenter? no, that would be my brother, Dosuke, I'll go and fetch him" nodding at Trevelyan, the monk walked out of the building where the hole in the side of the building was, just as he walked out, monks of all types started to enter the building and clean up, it seems that the attack on the temple didn't go unnoticed for long, meanwhile just out side the building a gathering of monks started to gather, nattering to one another like a mothers club, the crowd soon parted as a robbed man walked out of it, the man didn't enter the temple, simply gazed a pone it, sighing to him self as he looked back at the unnatural clouds in the distance then back at the temple once again, "Will this path of destruction ever end?" the man said to him self silently as he made his way towards the temple.

In the depth of Whiskey Peak

In the dark lands of abandoned houses and ruined buildings, stood a rather large building, the building looked liked a ruined castle of some type, cleverly blended with its surroundings, but, due to the fact that Whiskey Peak was rarely visited, only by the odd pirate that dared to wonder inside, crows could be seen nesting on the roofs of this building as the creepy cries of the crows could be heard for miles, the castle sure did have a haunted feel to it.

The dreadful silents in the depths of Whiskey Peak was soon shattered by the painful cries of a women "graaaaah!" Cried out Alabel as she got slammed into the wall "ge-get off!" "you almost ruined everything, give me a good reason why I shouldn't kill you" Alabel struggled around as she held the strong arm that was Adams, "listen, we got her ok? so it doesn't matter!" "tch" Alabel was then thrown to the ground like a rag doll, she looked backed at Adam with a pissed off look "you mean I got her, you simply made chaos and lost control of every thing, mon" Alabel didn't reply, only stayed on the ground whiles biting her lip "chain her up whiles I report this, I'll let this mistake slid this time, mons" Adam then walked off, but not before looking at Alabel again "get her into some more fitting clothes" shutting the door behind him Alabel stood up and turned to the overs "I'll put her into the next room, if I catch anyone peaking I'll rip their eye's out of their eye sockets"

For some reason a comical laughter then echoed the room they where in "Kerororororo!! that's hilarious! don't peak? you saying to a dumb ass giant who gets entertained by his own shadow, a girly man who is possibly homosexual and a man who's only interest is hunting down another mans life, really, the only person you have to worry about is me, and you wont even see me peaking, keroro" the frog like man smiled slimly whiles catching the attention of one annoyed Sylvander "wait! I am not Homosexual, I like women for you're information!" "sure sure, keep telling ya self that princess, Kero" Justin replied as he waved his hands at Sylvander "why you lit-" Sylvander's and Justin's argument soon stopped as Alabel stared them down with a death glear that could kill "Don't test me" Justin backed off a bit whiles holding up two hands up "kerororo, fine fine, I have some business to attend to anyways, see you flys later" Justin swiftly transformed into a small green frog as he jumped out side the closest window, leaving the group behind.

Isao bent to the drawer and removed the tools, setting about re-assembling the destroyed table and benches, all the while listening to Trevelyan’s questions and pondering how best to respond to them.

"Okay, first off I suppose I can and really should answer about what Cythia and I are to one another. I guess in the most basic terms, we’re comrades, crewmates with shared goals. Apart from that though, she’s the most dependable woman that I’ve ever known, she’s like what I would imagine a big sister is like, kind, understanding, and overall a great person, but she’s got her pet peeves like anyone else."

Setting the rebuilt bench upright, Isao grabbed some more lumber and started to fix the second bench, also eyeing the cracked boards of the table.

"I’ve got to save her because she’d do the same for me. We’ve been travelling together for so long that it just feels like the right thing to do, plus I kind of promised her father that I’d look out for her, even if I’m still too weak to do much of that myself, hence my asking you for your help."

Hearing Trevelyan’s dismissal of his request for aid because he was “just a monk” Isao actually had to laugh at that.

"Just a monk? yeah no, if you’re a monk then I’m Monkey D. Luffy returned from the grave. Just a monk wouldn’t have been able to make me feel like my spine was made of broken glass with a look and a harsh word or two. Just a monk couldn’t have used said same look and words to stop a rampaging crew of bounty hunters and seemingly give their boss a little bit of a shake up for good measure, a boss who I might add KO’d my best friend like it was nothing, and she’s tough as nails, as in literally her skin is as hard as iron."

Seeing Trevelyan’s questioning gaze, Isao figured it would be pertinent to explain just a bit more.

"She at one of those Devil Fruit things, so yeah, she’s made of metal now. And as far as the whole monk thing, I understand that your past is no picnic, and that you really don’t want to talk about it, but you were something extraordinary before you decided to hide in this godsforsaken rock pile of an island, which is why I feel that asking you for help is pretty much my only shot, so will you help me? or not."

Trevelyan lead Sam, who was dragging Cobalt, and the man he referred to as Isao into what appeared to be a kitchen area. Rather than responding immediately to the hopeful request, he instead started by instructing his new workers to start fixing the table while he made some food for them. At first glance it would seem like he was oblivious to how impatient Isao was, but one more experienced with observing human behaviour could tell that he was actually just trying to calm things down. The monk likely knew that he wouldn't get far trying to talk with someone nearly incapable of rational thoughts, and so wanted to take things slowly.

"Right-O."

Sam replied, grabbing some planks of wood with which to repair the tables and chairs. Cobalt grumbled as he reluctantly took a hammer and some nails, but Sam already had all the tools she needed on her in the form of her swiss army knife. Out of it she flicked a screwdriver, and set about re-attaching the table legs. Carpentry wasn't specifically her speciality, but it helped a lot that she had the mechanical knowledge she did since it at least let her perform a decent job at the repairs. Much unlike the other half of the duo, who was doing his work slowly and clumsily in the hope that he could get everyone else to finish it for him.

As he cooked some eggs, Trevelyan began to ask about the reasons why Isao wanted to save the woman named Cynthia in the first place. He wanted to know what their relationship was, and why he was so willing to risk his life for her. By the sound of it, the two were crewmates who had been through quite a lot together, and come to trust each other a lot. It reminded Sam of her and Cyan somewhat, but she tried not to dwell on that thought.

It was also interesting how Isao had picked up on how out of place Trevelyan seemed in a simple monastery, mirroring the ideas Sam had on that subject. Just why was such a powerful and intimidating man living so plainly? He must have been doing something much more dangerous in the past to get as strong as he was. Among the mysteries was also information that Cynthia had eaten a devil fruit, things which Sam had only seen briefly herself. If memory served, one of the higher-ranking fighters back on Anthemoessa had one.

Soon, the subject switched towards Sam and Cobalt as they were each handed some of the pleasant-smelling food that had been cooking. Sam put away her tools and sat down to have a taste of the meal Trevelyan had cooked before replying, noticing how Cobalt had dived towards the food like a starved cat.

"This is really good, you know. The list of what you can't do is getting smaller by the minute!"

After offering her compliments with a mouth full of food, she gulped it down and answered the question.

"It is as you put it to be honest, I am interested. I don't particularly have any reason to help, but I can't help but dig my fingers in when something catches my curiosity like this. As for Cobalt, he just follows me around everywhere, which makes him likely to get involved too."

"How rude! As my servant, aren't you the one following me around?"

"I sure wouldn't mind helping if I get some beli out of it too."

Sam continued, ignoring Cobalt completely. Though she had heard that Isao was a pirate like herself, that didn't stop her from being cautious enough to withhold that information about herself.

Trevelyan couldn't help but snicker softly to himself as Sam gave him a compliment. He would then sit down and began intently listening to Isao, leaning forward and giving him a lazy yet attentive look. The side of his mouth curled up into a smirk as Isao laughed about him being a monk. He continued to listen until he turned to Sam, whom gave him a jolly answer. He nodded before letting out a sigh as he unfolded his leg and bent over to begin work on the other leg and top of the table. Picking up a piece of wood, he placed the pillar upright and rose another piece of wood onto it, hammering it into place. He let silence fill the air as he and the others worked. After finishing the leg, he rose up, his palm on top of the pillar.

Looking down at Isao, his eyes were a bit softer than before.

"I see, I'm sorry that someone so close was taken. You've asked me if I'd help you and ...I'm not sure I say I can; I'm sorry. I don't know what your goals are, for either of you"

He spoke as he turned to Sam. Turning back he spoke once more.

"Regardless, Isao, you ask me about my past."

He spoke as his eyes fell to him, his long hair hanging down; a breeze from the open door causing it to sway a long with his necklace. With a softer tone he began.

"What I am willing to say now, is that it is one that was filled with unbelievable amounts of bloodshed and violence. So many people suffered and so many others lost their lives...all for a 'worthy' ambition. In the end, the goal was achieved...but everything else was lost. Isao, how many lives are you willing to sacrifice for your goal? This girl, Cynthia, did you ever consider that you'd be risking the lives of say Sam or myself in the process? Alabella isn't an evil person as well, will you beat her down if she gets in your path? Lastly, it was you who said that Adam was strong, when you arrive to their base, who is to say there aren't stronger individuals?"

Trevelyan let out a deep sigh, truthfully, it felt as though his heart was turning inside of his chest. The feeling of pain literally squeezing one's heart was one that he was accustom to. The weight of the necklace he wore was heavier than usual today.

"I've seen far too many people die for noble causes for one lifetime Isao, I'm not willing to watch others die, I'm sorry. This solitude, is atonement, or at least as close as I can get for my actions."

With that he turned to Sam and Cobalt, he couldn't help but smile at the two.

"You two, if you're willing to go help then I won't stop you. Neither will I stop you Isao, from finding your friend. However, I ask you two to weigh your options. If something indeed happened to Cynthia and she was out of your reach...what would you do Isao?"

He turned to Sam, giving her a much friendlier look.

"Sam, I'm not sure what skill sets you possess but it seems as though you are able to handle yourself well. That electricity you generated was quite impressive. You two are free to come back to the monastery as you please.

Trevelyan spoke as he finally grasped a large plank that seemed to be placed by Dosuke. Hammering in the sides of the boards to the pillars, he watched as the fundamental of the table was completed thanks to their efforts. With one last lazied look, he turned to Sam again.

"If you do embark on this journey then be careful. I wouldn't want anything happening to a young girl on this mission."

He said as he reached out to take her plate as she finished her food. All the while, it seemed apparent that Trevelyan's eyes were holding a much deeper feeling. Gazing at his eyes, there seemed to be a mix of grief, wisdom, and thought. Grasping the plate with his right hand, he moved past the table and walked into the kitchen. He washed the plate and then turned the wash on, using soap to clean the dish. As he turned off the faucet, he spoke as he wiped down the dish.

"I'm sorry, but I'll have to ask you two to leave now. As a thank you, I'll tell you that the man was heading southeast from here. I'd imagine they are heading to whiskey peak judging by where they went. It is forbidden for monks to enter this place, fearing a spirit of a demon resides and will take away purity. It is an area notorious for its bloodshed, I advise you not to go. As for now.."

He said as he wiped down the plate and then set it down and turned to them both.

"I'll have to ask you both to leave"

Meanwhile, deep in the depths of Whisker peaks

The room Cynthia was locked up in was silent, the only sound to be heard was the fluttering sound of a stray moth that unfortunately fluttered in, there where no windows so the room was dark, but fortunately, in the corner of the room there was a light glow that radiated from a flickering candle, Cynthia's eyelids slowly opened, the light of the candle reflecting from her sunset eyes that almost seemed to look like a dying flame, looking around, she found her self in a dark room, with only the light of a candle to comfort her, raising her hands, she heard the sounds she hoped to never hear again, the heaviness of cuffs and chains on her wrists and ankles that retrained her movement, there was enough light in the room to see that her clothes was replaced by a brown robe that had tears and holes in them.

As if a sudden bolt struck her head she suddenly remembered what happened and who knocked her out, she suddenly got her self up, looking around in a panicked state, banging the cuffs agents the wall in attempt to get them off "Get me out of these things!" and as if her body reacted to her command, blades ripped out of her arms and started to spin at high speed, ripping the iron like cuffs and chains apart releasing her arms from her restrains, she then did the same with her legs as pieces of iron metal flew every where, she lunched towards the door like a wild tiger that has just been cornered by hunters, her fingers turned into steel like blades as she obliterated the wooden door with a X like shockwave that was crated with her bladed palm, the sound of broken wood echoed though out the castle as guards came rushing down the stairs in attempt to contain her.

Her eyes wondered around, eyeing the men and women that surrounded her, her eyes widened as she lashed out her hands in a frightened but angered manner "Out of my way!!" she yelled out as the guards went in with swords, guns and chains in attempt to contain her, Cynthia then rushed towards the guards in a desperate attempt to break past them and towards the stairs where they came from, slashing and reaping past the guards as splattered blood and cries of pain could be heard around the castle, panting slightly, blood dripped from Cynthia's hands as she ran towards the door that lead to the stair way, running down stairs, she eventually entered another room where a rather big guard could be seen guarding the entrance to the room ahead, the guard heard the sound of running foot steps as he turned around "O-oi! stop right there!" the guard yelled out as he reached out his rather huge hands to grab Cynthia, unfortunately for the guard he didn't know he was dealing with a sword with a nasty bite as Cynthia's steel like finger tips sliced past the guards hand as her other arm turned into a human mincer as her arm started to buzz around like a chainsaw, slamming her arm into the guards face coursing both herself and the guard to fall to the ground with a thud.

Getting up from the blooded up ground, she started to rush to the door as fast as she could, but suddenly found her self falling face first into the ground, feeling as if her whole body was being drained of its energy, what was going on? "You know, its handy to have these things around, if I knew you was a Devil fruit user I would of used them in the first place" turning her head to the side with her face still on the ground, Cynthia looked at the person who was talking with a pissed off look "W-what have you done!" Alabel smiled whiles crouching down besides Cynthia "These chains arnt made of the iron chains you were tied up in earlier, these are made of seastone, a stone that drains the power of devil fruit users, coursing them to become incredibly weak, so you have no chance of breaking out of these baby's" standing up again she looked around whiles rubbing the back of her head "but damn, you sure made a blood bath of this place, nice attempt though" Cynthia could only lay there as tears started to stream from her face "W-why are you doing this..." Anabel simply looked at Cynthia as she walked over to her and started to drag her across the floor "I have my reasons, so don't take it personally"

After a while they returned to the room Cynthia was originally in, Dragging Cynthia back into the corner of the room Anabel crouched down and looked Cynthia in the eyes "It will be all over soon, we'll hand you over to him in an hour's time" Cynthia looked back at Anabel with eyes that seemed like a scared child "him..." "yes, the man you managed to escape from all those years ago, the man that brought you off the human action house, the man that calls him self, Mister Noble" Cynthia couldn't speak, her mind was frozen from fear, she could only watch as Anabel walked around whiles placing two guards at the door way, Cynthia couldn't move her body, the power of the seastones where overwhelming her, draining her of all the energy she had, was as if she never had the bladed like powers from the beginning, tears seemed to fall from her eyes like a water fool as she managed to scream out with all her might "Noooooooooo!!!"

Isao listened closely to the deluge of information Trevelyan was pouring out at them, as well as the questions he asked.

"You’re sorry? I don’t need your sorrow, I need your help! If you want the goals that Cynthia and I seek to achieve I can sum them up in a few words each. Hers would be “annihilate slavery” and mine would be “protect a book” in vastly simplified terms."

Listening on, with his rage expended a little bit by the outburst of shouting, Isao continued to fix the table, securing the proffered planks and boards, and in general making something that while not pretty to look at, would serve as a table in a pinch, he wasn’t a carpenter after all.

"I hadn’t given a terrible amount of thought to people dying along the way, but iI know that specifically I’ll die for my cause, just as Cynthia would likely die for hers, but neither of us would ask others to die for what we believe in, unless they wanted to do it anyway. Sam, and his companion seemed to be on even or superior footing to anyone in that little rag-tag gaggle of bounty hunters, with the exception of that adam guy, and you seemed to be strong enough to scare him, so I’d figured that if we all stuck to people approximately our level, we’d all come through it fine. As for their being someone stronger? no, I don’t think so, Adam seemed to be their titular leader, and the leader is in most cases the strongest there is. I can’t say for certain that there aren’t stronger people there, but it would be unlikely given what little information i have to work with. "

Listening further, Isao felt his anger re-ignite, then get quenched in the shower of Trevelyan’s logic, sizzling beneath the surface ready to explode again at a moment’s notice.

"Until I lie broken and dead, nowhere in this world is beyond my reach. I made a promise that I would watch out for her, and I keep my word, laws and the rest of the world be damned. As far as penance, how does cowering here do justice to the memory of those you lost fulfilling your goals? Would they want you to huddle here, in fear of the world, of your fuckups? People make mistakes, sometimes those mistakes cost lives, but if you believe in your goal, and those that spend their lives dearly to achieve it believe as well, then the cost is worth it. As far as mistakes are concerned, I thought what little assistance you gave us at the start of our little tussle with the bounty hunters meant you were someone that Cynthia and I could depend on, or at least who cared, but I guess i was wrong."

Turning to walk out the doors, Isao spoke to Sam and Cobalt. "I know you don’t necessarily share my goals, and I won’t ask you to come along on a suicide mission, but if you’d come along I’d be eternally grateful, hell if you want to do this as mercenaries, I’ll pay you up front and if things go south I’ll spend my life to let you get away. Lets leave this cowardly bastard to his monkish ways."

After refusing the request to help Isao, Trevelyan began to disclose some information about his past to his audience that hinted he had seen a lot of conflict and death in his time. Though Isao did not agree with his views, it was apparent that the monk was taking the stance of someone who had seen all too much of this kind of thing and knew exactly how it would turn out. He had accumulated his share of sins in his time, and only wanted to keep himself from anything more as he reflected on whatever had happened in the past. The man was experienced beyond his years, for better or for worse.

However, while Sam could see the logic behind such reasoning, all she could see was a man trapped in his own past. As opposed to the fixation Trevelyan held for his previous experiences, Sam was the type to look constantly forward without much thought for the past. She had no plans to dwell on what had already happened because that would not help solve it in the slightest. On top of her own lofty ambitions to climb up to she also wanted to fix a horrific mistake she had made in the past, which alone would take a lot of effort to achieve in the first place. Looking back at what she had done wrong would not get her to the top of either of those mountains, and would take away any opportunities that could come up along the way. Of course there were the downsides, reminding her once again of Cyan who would have been safe had he not left his home with Sam. But nothing could ever go perfectly, and there was no guarantee that staying on Karakuri Island would secure his safety.

As these thoughts ran through the girl's mind, Isao was making his point on why he should go and save Cynthia. It sounded very similar to what Sam had been thinking actually, regarding how sitting around and looking back would not help anyone to move forward. If that was what Trevelyan had decided on doing though, no-one was in any position to stop him.

Despite the monk having more to say, the conversation came to an end for Sam once Trevelyan brought up his concern over a "young girl" participating in the rescue operation. It was simply unfortunate that he did not know about the rather uncommon triggers Sam had, since it would have saved him from gaining the wrath of a second person in the span of only a few minutes. Out of gratitude for the food she handed the plate to the monk, but a bulging vein in her head and her lethal expression displayed her anger.

"What was that?!? Young girl?!? Me?!? I'll show you who's a young girl!"

She yelled as she stormed off in pursuit of Isao, while Cobalt snickered to himself at the sight of her petty outburst. However, before walking out of the door she glanced at Trevelyan with a more serious tone.

"You should know that dwelling on the past won't change anything. Instead of wanting to correct what had already passed, you should take the opportunity to help stop the same thing from happening again."

She said, after which she turned to Isao to reply to him.

"I'll tag along to spite that guy and prove him wrong. Don't worry about payment, we can handle that later."

She said, while Cobalt interrupted with his own view on things.

"Of course, me too! I was just about to say that."

The white-suited annoyance made sure to exit last, looking back at Trevelyan before he left to whisper something loudly to him.

"Take it from my omniscient self, she's just shy. Actually, she loves being called cute and girly things."

Trevelyan sight out a deep sigh as he heard Isao speak. He let everything sink in, even the comment Sam had made slipped his mind. While in the kitchen, he stood in place; hand ceasing washing the dish. He simply stood while the water ran. Trevelyan slowly set the dish down upon a towel before grabbing a handkerchief to wipe down his hands. Setting it on the counter, he walked out towards where the two had gathered by the door door. It seemed as though the girl was ready to to help out as well.
"You two have made up your mind...I see. I won't stop you. I must admit though, you expect too much out of a man who simply gave you shelter and a meal..."

Trevelyan's eyes narrowed for a moment.

"You two have not had the same experiences as I. I can tell you now that you won't be able to deal with what lies ahead. I'm not speaking physically, though that is a factor. Even if you do save that girl, more people will come after her. People will eventually be harmed for their beliefs. You risk so much for one person while there are so many others suffering. All I say is to look at the flip side of this coin and the consequences of your actions."

Trevelyan looked towards the two, his expression bored for a moment before shifting a more serious one.

"You haven't told me anything aside from what you think of that girl. You should get the entire story before you judge her. She was so easy to cut down an opponent without asking any questions first. I'm in no way looking down upon her. All I have to say is if you knew her so well....you would have known about this. Given your reaction, It seems this isn't a normal occurrence.Think wisely on your decisions Isao Hinogami..you may live to regret them.."

HIs eyes shifted towards Sam.

"Sam, I'm sorry for calling you a young girl. You seem beyond capable with your skills. However, I do worry about this mission might bring great troubles for yourself and Cobalt. -sigh- Be careful with this adversary and weigh your options. I take it you two couldn't entirely track their movements fully of that man...tread carefully"

He said as he felt a sting of anger and heartache welling up inside him.

He turned around as Isao too turned back towards the door. With their backs to one another he spoke.

"Farewell to both of you. Goodluck...and Isao...I hope you'll see things for what they are.."He kept walking until he was stopped by Cobalt. Turning around, he rose an eyebrow. He gave him a half smile, nothing more given the current situation.

"I'll..keep that in mind. It was nice meeting you...you all..tell them for me will you? Good luck and protect Sam Cobalt..

He gave him a nod before going into the kitchen. Grabbing a towel he wiped down the table for a minute before stopping and letting out a deep sigh. He looked down at the table and began thinking....Why today of all days...

walking past the two strangers that left the building, the old man looked around the place with a saddened look on his face, sighing gently to him self, he walked though the ruined hall, seeing Trevelyan in the kitchen, he lent on his staff to support him self before letting out a weak couth, he then slowly made his way towards Trevelyan whiles speaking with an old but wise tone to his voice, "Friends of yours child?" as the man spoke, Trevelyan may notes the style of robe the man was wearing, or, even the mans face, he seemed to be wearing a black robe, but with golden spiral like patterns on it, the staff the man was holding was just a normal looking stick with a white crystal on the top of it, the mans face had winkles all over it and had a white beard that went down to his waist, he didn't have any hair on his head however, only a winkles up forehead and unnaturally long eyebrows that went down to his jawline, he truly embraced his age with pride.

"so many serious but sad expressions on the young face's, these sure are dark times" resting him self next to Trevelyan, he lets out yet another weak couth as he spoke again "the days seem to have gotten darker since those pirates destroyed parts of our city's, its almost like their corruption rotted the very core of this island" sighing softly to him self he closes his eyes whiles gripping tightly to his staff "Buildings can get rebuilt, but the minds of humans can at times take a life time to recover" he reopened his eyes and looked at Trevelyan "But yet, people like you, me and others, have come here to repent their sins, which leaves to ask, why is it we choose to hide in such a dark place, a place that only drells on the deaths of others" the old man then looks out side as other monks clean up and fix damaged areas of the building "We carry on living, hiding as other my tell us, so we can make a live for our self's, even if something comes up, a chance to really redeem our self's, a chance to get of this island, we choose to ignore it because we have gotten to deeply involved in the darkness, death, that we feel safe here and afraid of the out side world, afraid that our sins will eventually catch up to us and consume us" the old man then looked back at Trevelyan "I know as a high priest I shouldn't be telling you this, but my heart ache to see such a young child suffer the way you do" the old man simply stood silently as he waited for Trevelyan response.

Meanwhile, at the docks.

"bede bde bede, bede bede bede, catcha- Kero?" "have you got it yet?" "tch, keep ya pant's on ass hole and let me do my job" "you better get it or ill turn you into frog legs! -catcha" ignoring the mans insult, Justin jumped over onto the boat and boarded it, looking around he only saw one entrance to the deck below, turning into his human form, he opened the door and made his way down stairs, on the lower deck there seemed to be a small kitchen that lead into a small hall way that had three doors, checking the first one. it had a faint smell of peach's and scented candles on a dressing desk, holding his nose, he swiftly moved out from that door and moved onto the next room, the next room was basic but tidy, the tidy looking man walked in, with no respect at all as he spits on the floor whiles looking around.

"nothing here kero" mumbled Justin as he walked towards the door, until he sees a chest, looking at the chest with sickening narrow eyes, he licks his lips as he walked up to it and attempted to open it, struggling a bit he spat on the floor again in a frustrating manner, "tch, damn locks kero" cracking his knuckles he turned one of his arms into a muscular frog like arm and sent a punch into the chest, sending pieces of wood about the room, he then picked up what seemed to be a book that was covered in a black and white cloth, "this must be what the ass hole wants, tch, doesn't look like much" swinging it carelessly under his arms he kneeled down as his legs turned into frog legs, a strange sound then came from his likes, like metal string tightening together, as he sprang with speed threw the ceiling and out of the boat, pieces of wood flew every were making a lot of noise whiles doing so, landing on the docks surface, he then hoped in the air again with great speed which sent him into the air as he disappeared into the darkness.
