Impressed was a nice word to describe what Ryuu was feeling when socialising with Annie. Her genuine expression of the "Pow!" when she made the kick was something really cute in his eyes. The kick was obviously deadly when applied in actual practise but the way she explained it and showed it just had this adorable quality to it. The young man was starting to see where her fanbase was coming from. Along with talent in music she was just quite adorable on her own. It sort of reminded him of his sister when she was doing her homework. They were both just genuine about what they did and did it for themselves. At the mention of her manager... Or Senpai? Ryuu couldn't really place the guy, was he some sort of senior to her or did she have a different relationship with him? Regardless, at the mention of him, Ryuu swallowed a bit nervously. The chef did his best not to make anyone notice but he was a bit worried about the impression this all gave. Perhaps this was the issue with acting kind.

You forget that people aren't used to kindness. They don't believe you actually like the world and them for what it is and who they are. There was this discrepancy between your intentions and their expectations. And in the end of it all, Ryuu was the one suffering at the hand of it. These last few years were a bit of a harsh reminder that kindness is something scarce... For as much as he liked indulging in hurting others for his own enjoyment, there was a bitter after-taste that made him feel horrible about himself after the ecstasy passed. He didn't want to go back to his old self, the teenage picking fights all the time for the satisfaction of a bloodlust he got from being treated like a doormat. But his new self, this kind idiot was just a persona who was used, on occasion. His actual self, a kind guy who just wants to be happy and share that kindness was some sort of mythical creature apparently. To love and be loved, a thing his bad luck would never allow. Though in the end he only cursed himself for it all really. Pointless to blame the world, luck is something to overcome with strong character.

At least that's what he believed in... Maybe he was just a cruel sadist deep down. An asshole who liked playing mindgames and used violence for personal satisfaction? The thought alone made him nauseous honestly. Arriving back home, Ryuu was really glad that Annie handled everything so respectfully without becoming embarrassed. However he couldn't say the same of his mother. The woman got eyes as big and sparkly as crystal bowls as she locked her fingers in her own hands and opened her mouth in sheer stun from Annie's reaction. "So polite too! Oh, you're such a sweetie honey! You're not a burden at all, the more the merrier and especially such polite and pretty girls like you! Definitely a keeper Ryuu-chan!!!" Momma Kurogami dreamed off. In her head already hearing the wedding bells ring, Ryuu grabbed her by her shoulders and shook her a bit: "Please mother, you're misunderstanding and confusing the poor Miss Amagi..." the chef pleaded embarrassed as Annie was being shown the way inside. Ryo got up as the two of them reached the porch and opened the door for the two young ladies with a friendly smile.

As friendly as Annabelle asked the question, Kyo still shot up in shock when she was addressed. Ryo noticed it and shook his head. Walking over to join them as they were getting to the right seats, he swung his arm around his twin sister and turned her around. It was obvious she was still to paralysed to speak properly to her idol. Making a friendly smile he spoke up in her stead: "Nothing major really. Bro's just not the type to bring home girls and Mom's been pushing him to get a girlfriend for the past year or so now. His last relationship ended on a sour note and before that was just awful so he doesn't want you to be mistaken for his girlfriend." the boy spoke up. up close and next to each other like that, the resemblances of them being twins were on full display. "I'm Ryo by the way. Kyo's twin brother and younger brother of Ryuu. Pleased to meet you, though I'm not a fan or anything, sorry if that disappoints. Take a seat over at the counter there, best spot to watch Ryuu cook and you get the authentic Ramen joint feeling there." the boy continued as he seated his sister, somewhat forcefully as she was still in shock of it all, though easing up a bit.

While Ryo would be handing them the menus, Ryuu would walk in heaving a heavy sigh, followed by his cheerful mother. He tried his best to explain to her what happened and what he intended though it seems his mother had made up her mind. The woman joined the girls and would take a seat right next to Annabelle, placing the popstar between Kyo and Mother Kurogami. "I'll have something small as well. It's awkward to just sit here while everyone is eating right? My son's a really good cook, so you can trust on it being good, filling and healthy!" the blond woman in kimono advertised. Up close Annie might notice the family resemblance on a more physical level once more. Though the woman was blonde in comparison to the black haired children, the eyes and nose, as well as other features returned a lot in the children. For her age, being in her early 40's, the woman was really good looking and it reflected on her children. Ryuu himself was often regarded a bit of a pretty boy after all...

His brother and sister shared that trait a lot less, seemingly getting more of their father's side. Still quite alright upon analysis however... Walking past the counter Ryuu just shook his head. "... My apologies for my mother... Please do not let it get to you Miss Amagi. Anyways... I'm going to go change clothes really quickly." the black haired chef spoke as Ryo joined him behind the counter. The boy put on an apron and tied a white bandanna on his head to keep his hair back as he started preparing the kitchen. Ryuu himself however, still showed signs of blood on his clothing and forehead, along with his shirt being ripped in several places. It was a bit unhygienic to cook like this. "Please make a selection in the meantime. If the menu is not to your liking I can prepare you a personal dish as well, no problem. My apologies for any possible wait, I might cause..." Ryuu spoke in a friendly tone with an amicable smile as he made a light bow before leaving.

While Ryo was preparing all the cooking ware and checking the fires in the kitchen, the older brother went up the stairs to change. He closed the door behind him when he arrived on the upper floor bathroom. Sighing deeply once more he took off his shirt and saw the bruising on his upper body. Using the rag it was reduced to to wipe the blood, there had to be a little time for some medical attention or he would suffer of it later. "... As if I'd die before completing my promise... Just you wait Minako-chan... I'll become a great cook you can be proud of..." the chef thought to himself as he treated his wounds with whatever he had left in his bathroom cabinet. Sighing again, his smile became a bit melancholic.

"Or rather... A chef you could have been proud of..."

Man, Ryuu's family was extremely nice, almost to the point where it was kind of a little weird. His mom was saying all sorts of nice things about the young pop star now, and if it wasn't for it being impossible to make the young girl blush, she would be as bright red as one of her favorite crayons by now. There was one thing that confused her slightly, however. "K-keeper?" Annie wasn't quite sure why she was being kept and for what purposes, but perhaps this was just some silly terminology that only Ryuu's family used when talking to one another. Ooh, like a secret code!!! And Ryuu's insistence that his mom stop saying such things because they were confusing her only made the possibility that it was some sort of secret code all the more likely! Unfortunately, she doubted they would reveal the inner secrets of such an important and secluded form of communication, so she just proceeded to walk with Kyo towards their table.

The boy that was obviously Ryuu's younger brother started explaining things to her on behalf of Kyo, disappointing the pop star a little because she was hoping to get Kyo to speak again, but you win some, you lose some. "W-w-wait, she thinks I'm his g-girlfriend?" Wait, there it was! You could see it as clear as day right now: her cheeks were starting to turn a reddish col-oh wait never mind, that was just the lighting. But still, Annabelle was completely embarrassed at such a misunderstanding, especially because Annie wasn't the type to go on dates. Not because she didn't want to, but because, well, she was kind of cursed when it came to guys. Heck, even though this wasn't a date, she was still slightly expecting the dinner to go terribly wrong just because she was involving herself in the life of a guy and that never turned out well. Except in the case of her manager, but he might beg to differ what with all the roller coaster rides today and the giving out free merchandise and tone dials and cleaning up the entire stage area and etc.

But moving past that, Ryo introduced himself as, of course, Ryuu's younger brother and.... Kyo's twin?!? I mean she only really knew of twins that looked the same, like how Céleste was apparently Dani's long lost twin sister (she decided to take a job on the staff at Annie's ship when Dani decided to get a bigger place), but she supposed twins could look different and be even different genders too. I mean the fact that they were twins but different genders meant there was absolutely no reason they would resemble each other anymore than they would resemble Ryuu, but Annie didn't even understand all that sciency stuff to begin with. "It's nice to meet you, Ryo," she said with a bow before taking her seat. "Oh don't apologize for a silly thing like that; it's not disappointing at all. Everyone has a different taste in music, so it's only natural; trying to appease to everyone just doesn't work."

Annie smiled as Ryuu's mother took her seat next to her. Even if she was still slightly embarrassed at her misconception of her relation with Ryuu (or more so the lack there of), Ryuu had no doubt erased all possible inklings that they might be a couple from his mother's mind while they were back there talking. Besides, Ryuu's mom was a rather nice person, so she was glad she was joining them for dinner. "Don't apologize, Ryuu; your mother is not being a bother in the slightest." The young girl then turned her attention to her menu as she began to dissect it, figuring out just what she wanted to order. Alas, there were so many things that looked so delicious, and she didn't know much about ramen and, therefore, didn't know quite what to order. "Hmm," she began to wonder out loud, addressing no one in particular. "I think I might just have him surprise me..."

The bandaging and whatnot all done, Ryuu wrapped a clean black shirt around his body. Buttoning it up all the way, he fixed his tie all proper. One last touch on his face and a small band-aid on the wound on his forehead, he put up his smile once more before taking one last look in the mirror. He looked proper once more. Leaving the room, he made a dash back downstairs, entering the shop with a proper appearance and a friendly smile, he resumed his spot behind the counter. "My apologies for the wait~! I believe I should be mostly ready, so please, you may place your order~!" the black haired chef explained with a happy tone. While his brother was checking the fire and whatnot, Ryuu reached behind the counter for a black apron that he tied around his waist. Reaching for the front pocket there was a piece of black cloth in there which he put down on the counter. What he was actually looking for was a notepad with a pen.

Clicking the ballpoint open, he smiled widely waiting for the orders. His mother was the first to speak up. "I'll have something small dear, a couple pieces of sushi maybe? Oh you know I bought some fresh fish this morning, so why don't you use that?" the woman spoke to which Ryuu nodded as he put it down on the pad. Turning over to the two girls, he gave Kyo a long intrusive look. Raising his index finger to his lips in a gentle shushing motion, he gave Annabelle a quick wink. Maybe she wouldn't pick up on it and be all confused by it but what he said next should make the hint clear. Kyo was still somewhat in shock and Ryuu decided to snap her out of it: "What about you Kyo-chan? Any specific preference?" the chef asked to which the girl kind of shot up a bit and gave him an angry look. "I-I-I... I'll have the... Usual..." she answered, but regained soe of her composure as the smile of her older brother was somewhat taunting her.To anyone else sitting at the table it may be a bit of a sly smile but the young girl it was a smile she wanted to punch straight off his smug face.

Not like Ryuu had one. It was friendly, perhaps a bit tricky but not smug at all. "Alright, one small veggie bowl for you..." Ryuu replied as he jotted down the order. Turning to Annabelle, his smiled friendly to her before speaking: "Anything striking your eye Miss Amagi? If the menu does not oblidge any particular taste you would like to experience? I don't wish to serve you something you don't like after all..." the black haired chef spoke as he tapped the back of his pen on the pad lightly, more so out of his own anxiety than anything else. It's not every day you cook for a famous popstar and her opinion was the opinion followed by many. Making something Annabelle could enjoy would be making something thousands could enjoy. A lot was riding on this. While Ryuu was waiting for the order, Ryo had finished preparations and was waiting patiently, leaning against the stove with his arms crossed.

While waiting for everything, Ryuu's mom got a grand idea. Suddenly jumping up from her seat and running over to a cupboard in the shop. She pulled out a small key to open it and inside was a thick book, dusting it off a bit she smiled widely and somewhat mischievously. What did this sly mother have up her long kimono sleeve now?!?

As Annie continued to look over the menu, her side comment that she was sure nobody even heard proved to be more and more true. Everything just looked so delicious and tasty that she wasn't sure what would be the best thing to eat. I mean what if she ordered the wrong thing and it turns out that it wasn't the best thing on the menu? She would just wasted a perfect opportunity to evaluate someone's cooking, and all because she couldn't decide properly what to order on a menu! And she couldn't ask for something that wasn't on there like Ryuu suggested, because not only would that make the likelihood of ordering something that wasn't the best cooking he could possibly deliver dwindle to approximately zero, but also because that would be quite rude and unguestly of her to request such a thing! So she had to order from the menu, but she didn't know what to order, which means she should just let luck take it's shot at things and just decide her fate for her. Even if it wasn't the best cooking he had to offer (though if given the free choice, he probably would put his best forth unless he himself had difficulty deciding his best dish), there would be no way she could know and she wouldn't be able to blame herself for possibly picking the wrong dish. It was fool proof!

Eventually, Ryuu came around and started taking orders. His mother, like she said earlier, decided to stick with something small, while Kyo finally managed to speak up and order what was apparently a small veggie bowl. Ryuu had apparently tried to give Annie some secret message with his finger and a wink or something, but obviously he had forgotten to teach her the all important secret code which now apparently contained hand and body gestures in addition to words. Great, just great. Ryuu then got to Annie and then seemed a little bit nervous when addressing her and asking what she wanted to eat. She really didn't understand considering she was but one little girl with only the power to bring thousands of fans all over the world to his restaurant to try his cooking or alienate just as many people from ever wanting to set foot 50 feet within the place again, so she really didn't get what the big worry was all about.

"Everything looks so good that I just can't decide. So if it is not too much to ask of you, I think I would like to just be surprised." Annabelle added the last part with a smile that probably made Ryuu feel just a little bit better and more relaxed about the whole thing. Either that or now she had just freaked him out because he was now under pressure into trying to figure out what Annie liked best and cooking something that she would like based on only observations he had gathered from their short time together which would spell disastrous if he was known to have bad luck. But she was sure Ryuu would do just fine; besides, he looked like quite the lucky guy!

And then his mom went off to fetch some sort of book, which started to confuse Annabelle once again. If she didn't know any better, she would have guessed they were embarrassing baby pictures of Ryuu that she would show to Annie that would make his mom feel happy yet, from the point of view of the son, would be the worst possible thing she could ever do to him. But that was something, from what she had heard and gathered, that mothers did only showed to people like girlfriends. And she was still fairly certain that Ryuu had cleared up any misconceptions about any relationship between he and the pop star and that his mother was aware that they were just people who barely knew each other. Probably.

"S-s-surprise? Of course, that's perfectly... Fine~!" Ryuu stuttered a bit at the order. Now he was in a pinch. He had no idea what this young popstar liked and what spectrum of taste was her favourite. This would either be a disaster or he could get lucky... Yeah who are we kidding here, he'd probably end up failing to impress and do it horribly so. Thinking a bit to himself as he ripped the aper out of the pad, he was truly lost on what to cook for her. The only thing that came to him was something sweet... He'd perhaps have to to stray from too much meat too? Chicken was fairly neutral so... He had it. Well an idea at least on how to approach this. He wanted to serve a classic ramen bowl, that much was sure. He'd go with a medium size for Annie, not assuming she was a light eater but not putting a large bowl in front of her that she might not be able to finish. Time to get cooking! Making a smile as he pinned up the order for Ryo to see, the chef nodded to his younger brother.

This secret code that Annie spoke of was in action again. But not really, Ryo just knew when Ryuu was going to handle an order all personally. The two began moving. Grabbing hold of the cloth he tied it around his head like a bandanna and suddenly... His appearance was a lot more scary. Not horrifying, it was simply... Like he had become a different person. His eyes confident and somewhat dangerous, his smile getting a whole different tone to it. It was as if he was a warrior, having drawn his sword. And then it began. It all happened so fast, Ryuu was going at it like a surgeon. His brother was handing him fish and vegetables and as Ryuu was chopping those up with a large knife, Ryo was making a pot of water boil. Putting the ramen noodles in, those were starting to boil now. Ryuu himself seemed to be keeping track internally as his eyes were busy shifting and his mouth was lip-syncing a number count. And then it came. The bad luck. The water suddenly caught fire out of nowhere. Ryuu moved with tiger-reflexes and grabbed a cup of water Ryo prepared earlier to douse it and then covered the pot with the lid for now.

Just as soon as it started the fire was out. Moving back to his side of the kitchen the man had replaced his knife as for whatever reason, it had become dull from the use just now. Putting the basic vegetables in a bowl, he prepared it for Ryo with a snap of his fingers. The boy took the bowl away as Ryuu lifted the cutting board only to find it break in half. the black haired chef didn't even cut it in that spot, it just broke there randomly. Taking one half, he turned it to it's side and walked over to his fridge. Cooled at exactly 5°C, it was a fridge not intended to freeze as much as it was to keep things from overheating in storage while he was cooking. It was getting pretty hot in there. Rolling up his sleeves to his elbows now and undoing his tie a bit, Ryuu picked a pineapple out of it. Grabbing a new knife, wit a swift cutting motion, the pineapple was cut into rings so perfectly, so efficiently, you only had to blink to miss it. the noodles ready, Ryuu grabbed the hot pot with both hands while Ryo handled the pineapple slices.

Draining the noodles, Ryuu used drains as of course, his first one would randomly decide to give in. Now he needed to prepare the broth and 2 of them of to boot. preparing 2 new pots, he grabbed a handful of herbs for each, slowly and carefully diving them among the two to create 2 different soups. While this was boiling, Ryo would stir and Ryuu would once again move to the cutting board. Having prepared the fish and some rice, Ryuu started cutting up the fish and grabbed some vegetables along with rice. Rolling them up and seasoning them, he was preparing a classic sushi roll for his mother. At least he intended to, the sea weed wouldn't stick properly. Using more rice than he intended, he hoped it'd stick a bit better but still hopeless... Actually stopping for the first time in this whole endeavour, Ryuu reached in a cupboard for honey syrup. Taking a very thin layer on the back of a spoon, he carefully used it as a cohesion aid. But now he had to work with the sweet flavour. Maybe some spices to balance it back out? No, fruit!

Becoming absorbed in it all, Ryuu moved almost instinctively throughout the kitchen. Meanwhile his mother had taken a seat again next to Annie. "He's passionate when he's cooking isn't he? Like a whole different man..." she whispered to the girl. Kyo was just staring at the counter, slowly regaining her composure to finally be able to speak. Ryuu's actions from before were like a little wake-up slap. Her idol was sitting next to her, she needed to be strong. Back to Ryuu's mother though, the woman slid a book across the counter so it laid between Annie and herself. "You know, he's probably going to hate me for this but you have to see what a cutie Ryuu was when he was little~!" the woman continued in the same whisper. Opening the book, the pictures started with Ryuu's baby photos. He seemed like a happy little baby. His mother was also recognisable and daaaaaaaaamn was she a hottie back then. Not like she wasn't now but wow, Momma Kurogami in her mid twenties was a total bombshell. Her mature charm now was still something to admire but in that outfit there... Total knock-out.

The pictures went on with a playing Ryuu, a smiling happy kid. And then the toddler days came. And his smile was seemingly gone. The happy look in his eyes was more of an annoyed one. His mother's eyes became worried. Another thing to note was that in none of these pictures, his father was even so much as hinted at. As the album went on there were pictures of him with a young girl his age. She had brown hair done in short ponytail with some bangs over her forehead. A cute little girl she always was happy in the pictures even if Ryuu wasn't. And so it went on, the two of them coming back often. Ryuu's teenage photos of when he was 16 were something to note. The boy had long blond bangs in front of his head and an even more vile look than ever. His dress style was so much like a delinquent it wasn't even funny. The girl from before however seemed to be maturing into a proper young lady. They both had school uniforms of some sort but where Ryuu's was modified and the shirt worn so open, hers was proper. And yet they were hugging in the photos and being all friendly. The black haired chef's look back then was more tsundere than ever though...

And then the photos seemed to skip forward a lot. Ryuu had his current haircut in the photos, though a bit shorter and the first time in the whole album since his baby photos, he had a smile on his face. The girl from before was also gone. Graduation photos and whatnot but it was just Ryuu and the twins. Speaking of the twins, there were some photos with them before but they were pretty straight forward. Small Kyo and Ryo were pretty much the same they were when they were babies. little change in the expressions and whatnot. The last photo is a family shot of them all hugging in front of the restaurant. Ryuu seemed happy and so did everyone in the picture, even Kyo but with her usual tsundere happiness. "Looking back on it all, I'm kind of glad Ryuu turned out okay. I was really worried for him during his teenage years... if you got any questions you can shoot deary~! I don't mind answering." the woman spoke when suddenly a loud thud was heard. Ryuu had put down the plate of sushi in front of his mother and his left eye seemed to be twitching just ever so lightly.

"Mother, you are only inconveniencing Miss Amagi with your actions. I have no issue with small talk but the past is the past. Today marks the beginning of the future and tomorrow, today will be the past. So let us not dig up skeletons from the clos-... Hhhmmm... Horrible choice of words..." the man spoke putting down the sushi in front of her, sort of forcing her to put away the album. Pouting, Momma Kurogami did so anyway. Walking back to the kitchen he brought along two bowls. One small bowl for Kyo that was a vegetable ramen dish, piping hot still but had the smell of nature and healthiness coming from it. As for Annabelle however... She received a medium sized bowl, cute and colourful. There were small strips of chicken, vegetables and pineapple slices present in it. "The regulars know what thy got. However Miss Amagi, you have a dish, not on the menu. A special sweet and sour ramen, just a bit of chicken, pineapple and a secret spice in the broth of it all. Elegant, cute and sweet such as yourself~!" The chef explained to which his mother gave him a wink. He sighed at her response to his compliment aimed at the popstar. Ryuu was just being nice...

"Well... In any case, Itadakimasu~!" the chef added and smiled as he handed her the chopsticks. There was a spoon provided as well for the broth. "Is there anything I can offer you to drink? I'd recommend something cold perhaps and make sure to blow on the ramen and the soup before you eat it as well. It's piping hot after all~!"

Well, this was a turn for the unexpected. As she watched Ryuu cook, it was almost like he was a completely different person. Strong, confident, more dashing than usual; it's as if all of the good qualities just manifested themselves into one cook who was doing his best to cook a modest meal that his family and a international pop star beloved by thousands of fans everywhere could enjoy. Just watching him almost mesmerized her, and if she didn't know any better, she would think that she was falling for him.... Unfortunately for any shipping experts (sorry Azuki), she did know better and was in fact completely aware that any amazement that came from watching him cook was completely platonic and there were absolutely no emotional feelings attached. And that's not even a tsundere answer; she literally had no reason to start falling for him besides the fact that he was nice and kind of cute. In fact, the likelihood that she ever fall for him was so absurdly low that anyone reading this right now, grader or otherwise, should go ahead and just rip up all of the RyuuxAnnie fan art they were just drawing while reading this paragraph. Was definitely not going to happen. At all.

Anyways, it turns out Annie was mistaken; in Ryuu's household, baby pictures were shown to embarrass one another regardless of whether or not the recipient of said picture showing was a date or not. Annie watched and looked with silent awe as the pages were flapped, taking notice of several different things and stages. Like for instance when he was pretending to look like a delinquent in pictures probably out of spite for this very album, or how there was a girl in all of these different photos but she probably moved away or something. She really wasn't quite sure how to react to all the pictures, to be honest, since she was a complete stranger for the most part to the chef and his family, but it was still nice in a sense, she guessed.

"Oh don't worry, Ryuu; you're mom's not being a bother at all. Though it's fine if the book is taken away..." Ryuu then provided her a description of the dish he had prepared for her, throwing in a flirtatious compliment, of course, and the words, smell, and look just made her mouth start to water. Before she began to try it, Ryuu asked her if she wanted anything to drink, and while she was tempted to jokingly ask for a cocktail, she was still afraid it would be a joke in ill taste. So instead, "I'm fine with just water, thank you." And with that comment, Annabelle ceased some of the ramen and brought it up closer to her mouth. She gently blew on it to help cool it down a bit before it finally entered her mouth and-

....Oh my God........ She could not believe he just served that to her! I mean you have got to be kidding her; how could such a man give her such a.... such a..... such a delicious meal for free?!? Ok, if she wasn't for certain before, she sure was now: this had to be paid for, because this was too good to just take. Poor Annie would feel like a criminal and thief if she kept eating without paying, though she had been known to get into a little bit of theft problems in the past.... but no matter, that was the past like Ryuu said. This was the present, and the present had ramen for her! Though not usually a big or messy eater, Annie just couldn't stop herself; she began to chomp down on the ramen one bite after another, in such a quick yet surprisingly elegant way. It was almost a new form of art the way she gracefully took up the ramen and consumed it, and she was thankful she wasn't just tasting a bite of someone else's ramen; otherwise she would have been guilted into buying them steak at some new convenience store chain called Mayes.

It didn't take too long for Annie to finish the bowl and set it down on the table, letting out a great sigh of satisfaction. She assumed Ryuu would have returned by this point, if anything to see his dish be rapidly consumed by such a famous person, and therefore addressed the chef himself now. "Chef Kurogami, that might have been the most delicious meal I remember tasting in years..." That was the truth, of course, as she didn't believe in lying about stuff like that, and she said it with a big smile. "I don't care what you say, such a meal deserves payment!" And with that, Annie reached into her left pocket...... wait, she didn't have one of those.... And with that, Annie reached into her right pocket...... wait, she didn't have one of those either.... "Kyaaa!!!! I forgot my checkbook!!!!" This was terrible; she had to pay this man and she had forgotten to get some of her money before leaving! Ugh, why didn't she ask for it instead of doing that big girl routine with her manager?!? Stupid Annie, stu-

"Here you go, Miss Amagi." Snapping back into reality, Annie turned her attention to checkbook in the extended hand and took it with joy. "Why thank you, Azu.... Azuki?!?!?!!?" The young pop star leaped in surprise, landing in the lap of one of the two Kurogami ladies (she wasn't sure not because Blades didn't know the exact configuration of the table and where neighboring tables were and thought it would be better to let ice decide, but rather because she was too shocked to notice which one) as she stared at her head maid, in proper uniform and everything, casually leaning over from the next table. "Is something the matter, Miss Amagi?" "The matter? The matter?!? Where in the heck did you come from?!?"

The young maid smiled in response before informing Annie that "I've been right behind you the whole time, Miss Amagi. I couldn't stand it in case the pretty boy tried to take advantage of you." "A-advantage?!? But Ryuu would never do something like that; he's too nice. The maid just shook her head in dissatisfaction, as if Annabelle had just said a naive and foolish thing. "Unfortunately Miss Amagi, looks can be deceiving and I must always be cautious, especially with a man who obviously has ulterior motives. She then turned her gaze to Ryuu with what seemed to be a cold, icy death glare. "But don't worry if this man so much as tried to do something improper to you, I would immediately take your place and hold him off while you made your escape." Her eyes immediately softened up to their normal, cute look, almost as if they had never been fear-striking, and she gave him a flirtatious wink. Meanwhile Annie pretty much had a "wut" expression on her face. "......Are you sure you're not the one with ulterior motives?"

And so his mother pouted. It seems that speeding along the getting to know each other process had only hurt her hopes of them getting together. Annabelle insisted she wasn't annoyed but Ryuu felt like he needed to make sure his mother was put in her place. As in, not meddling with his life like this. At this point everything was up in the air though, his image had been slandered enough already by his family and at this point it seemed like Annie was too afraid to ask for something proper to drink too... Was his cooking that bad? Given, he made a couple mistakes along the way but he fixed those as well for the better... Getting a bit worried as he fetched her the glass of water she wanted, he put it down in front of her with a bit of a nervous smile. However seeing her work down the bowl, he got quite surprised. Mostly at hos she was managing not to get any soup spilled as was enjoying the noodles. Either she had incredible skill in her hand eye-coordination or was just lucky.

Perhaps the latter as Ryuu would learn in a bit. Still in shock by sudden positive response he didn't quite know how to react to all this. "Oh no, really it's fine Miss Amagi! You helped my sister and gave her that signed armband, we're fairly even, really!" the chef insisted. The exchange of polite words however was something Ryuu liked. Annabelle Amagi had manners and that was something he could respect in a person. The following made him think that she was actually lucky earlier as the girl tried to reach into her back pockets, only to completely miss the point that she wasn't even wearing pants in the first place. Such a strange girl though her silliness made Ryuu laugh just a tiny bit. A little giggle escaped him as he saw the exchange and the young popstar shooting up in surprise. That giggle soon died however when he felt threatened all of a sudden by the new woman's glare. She was wearing a maid get-up which raised questions in Ryuu but it seems she was some sort of friend of Annie's.

A stage costume perhaps? Or was she her actual maid... Wow, rich and famous people were awesome. "... P-p-pretty boy?!?" Ryuu stuttered at the maid's threats. If anything, he did have the looks but he was not used to being called out on it. And then he was winked at which made him feel embarrassed. As if he wasn't before... The praise for his cooking felt surreal too. He hoped that Annabelle was not joking around with her words. "... I would never... Take advantage of someone as kind as Miss Amagi. I owe her a lot, even if she insists that I don't and now she's insisting on paying which I won't allow. As for you however..." Ryuu spoke, confident in his words until he got to the part where he wanted to address the maid's flirting. Swallowing his spit a bit nervously, he then continued: "... I have to concur with Miss Amagi... There is a feeling telling me that I should be wary. I can assure you, I have no ulterior motives but... There's an unshaken lingering sentiment of doubt in my mind that such is the case with you as well, Miss Azuki..." the chef spoke somewhat taken aback by it all.

Turning back to Annie he made a bow however. "Thank you for your kind words, Miss Amagi. I am very glad to hear that you enjoyed it though you must overestimate my abilities." the young black haired chef spoke as he got up from his bow and smiled towards her. "There is no need for compensation at all, your actions today have been more than enough. That said, I believe I'm raising too much suspicion from your crew and friends, so with this, I have no reason to keep you from your busy schedule any longer. Seeing as Miss Azuki is here, I'm unsure if I should escort you back to your ship or not as to not raise even more suspicion towards me." Turning around and making a wave with his hand as he headed back to the kitchen Ryuu smiled, his head turned for Miss Amagi. "Have a pleasant day, Miss Amagi, Miss Azuki~!" the chef continued as he stepped back behind his counter and was walking towards the kitchen.

At which he promply stepped on a cubed piece of pineapple and slipped. Falling down, he hit his head first, his body nearly getting ragdolled, his leg hit the edge of a cutting board and launched about 3 knives at his face. Quickly rolling out of the way, Ryuu's look was scared. And just as he was about to make a cool exit. Ah, so unlucky...

His family at this point decided to let him handle things on his own. Kyo had just finished eating to notice all the commotion anyways, and Ryo was giving their mother hints that she should really let go of it. His mother in turn was disappointed and sad. This was Ryuu's life and his calls after all. No amount of motherly pushing would make him happy anyway. Fate was playing it's cruel game and she was forced to watch this drama. Ryo however, just sighed and let it be. His mom was such a drama queen sometimes.

Ryuu's terse reaction to Azuki and her odd behavior was enough to snap Annie out of her "you've got to be kidding me" face and even made her giggle a bit. He was acting all tense and nervous and it was kind of cute to a point, especially because she knew that Azuki wasn't really threatening him..... probably. And she wasn't really flirting with him...... Probably...... Not. Ok, so the flirting was probably real, but at least the threats-oh who are we kidding; both were genuine. But that didn't mean Ryuu had to act all stiff about it. "Don't worry, Ryuu; Azuki's just joking around. Right." This time it was Annie giving the glare to Azuki, to which the maid seemingly had no reaction at all and just nodded her head. "That is correct. After all, I wouldn't want to hurt my mistress's love interest." "You see, nothing to wor-wait, love innterest?!?!?"

There it was! At long last, you could finally see the blush!!! Someone had finally managed to make Annie..... why are you giving me that look? You think I'm trying to pull your leg again? Because I'm not; you could clearly see the red on her che-oh who am I kidding; of course she didn't blush. But she was still very embarassed and surprised at Azuki's completely incorrect observation. "Of course. Why else would you go eat dinner with him instead of returning to the ship? Plus you proceeded to look at his baby pictures, which already puts you ahead of almost all girls at this stage of the shipping." "Azuki, it's not-" "Plus you are already sitting in his mother's lap..... though I don't think that normally happens...."

Her eyes widening, Annie quickly hopped off of Mrs. Kurogami's lap, which she didn't know she was sitting on up until this point. "Oh my, I'm so sorry Mrs. Kurogami!" She gave a partial bow to the mother before she turned her attention back to Azuki. Or at least she would have done the later if Ryuu hadn't started to address her. And boy did she not like what he was saying, especially about the not paying part! But before she piped up and interrupted him, she got an idea. Smiling a bit to himself, she waited till he left... then waited until he attempted to leave again after such a traumatic yet funny fall and probably near painful experience and was out of earshot. "Azuki, go ahead and head back to the ship. I will be there shortly." "Yes, Miss Amagi," the maid said with a curtsey before taking her leave. It was now that Annabelle turned her attention towards Ryuu's mother.

"Mrs. Kurogami, I'm going to try and make this quick and understandable, so hopefully you won't have any questions as I might be pressed for time slightly. First of all, I really appreciate your hospitality. Which is why I regret to inform you that Ryuu's going to be my new head chef. He just doesn't know it yet. Talent like his deserves to do greater things, and if that means he ends up as my chef only temporarily before being picked up by some restaurant Pucci or Cook's Island, then so be it. But until that happens, I simply must have him in my kitchen on my ship." And with that, she took out her checkbook and began to write. "Now I understand if you refuse, but if you do I hope it's not because of money. You'll have a fair amount automatically mailed to you with his every pay check plus whatever he decides to send to you. And in addition, here is some money up front along with the expected cost of this off-menu dinner to help you along before that first currency delivery."

With that, Annie ripped the check apart from the rest of the book and handed it to Mrs. Kurogami. "It's in your name so Ryuu can't refuse it, since it's technically not for him. I hope you'll keep this secret from him, however, so he doesn't overreact. And if you feel that this isn't enough or that future payments to you as part of his contract are lacking, my contact information is on the check; feel free to send me a letter at anytime. I'll send somebody over soon to pick up his stuff. With that, I am off!" Annabelle then proceeded to jump directly from the table out onto the main floor and started heading towards the kitchen where Ryuu went off to. Quickly locating him, she immediately grabbed him by the wrist, saying only, "You're coming with me," and started to drag him off with quite surprising strength and speed, hopefully surprising him enough that he wouldn't even know what was going on until it was too late. Passing back through the dining area, she used the other hand, which was also holding the checking book, to wave one last goodbye before she got to the doors. "It was nice meeting you all, especially you Kyo!!! It was fun getting to be on stage with you!"

And with that, Annie and, presumably, Ryuu were gone, just like that. And to think that the pop star had left his family with nothing but a check for a feeble sum of........ wait, how many zeros did she put on there? Nine? Ten? Sixteen?!? Jeez, no wonder why Annie only had 7,600,000 in her savings account despite making so much money; it all went to important stuff like this! She just hoped that they wouldn't feel that it was too little and be offended by it. Or maybe they'd have a more realistic reaction and think that it was a fake check, which would be sad because it was as authentic as they came. It wouldn't surprise her, however, since a lot of people had that reaction, so just to make sure, he'd have the people who were going to pick up Ryuu's stuff also bring some hard cash.... Oh right, Ryuu! "Sorry about that. I might be in a bit of a rush, I don't know. I just need to show you the ship before it's time to go. No opting out. That's final."

As Annie jumped up from Momma Kurogami's lap, the woman simply smiled. "No worries dear, you're... Oddly light and soft, kind of like a pillow resting on my lap~!" the woman remarked with a smile as the young popstar jumped off. Giggling a bit to herself at her reactions and such, Ryuu sighed as he was in the process of getting up. Entering the kitchen, Ryo had cleared the tables and was shrugging as he entered the kitchen. "She's an interesting personality, that's for sure..." Ryo spoke putting down the bowls and plate next to Ryuu as the latter opened the faucet on his sink to start doing the dishes. "We've all got our rarities, Ryo. She's a good person and I was just being nice, that's all." the black haired chef spoke as he began soaking the dishes. While Ryuu and Ryo were cleaning up in the kitchen's back area, Ryuu's mother was being overwhelmed all of a sudden by Annabelle. Her offer wasn't much of an offer, she felt like she was being bribed for letting a popstar steal her son away.

Both Momma Kurogami and Kyo sat there, listening to Annie with wide open eyes. All of this was without negotiation and as soon as her mother saw the 7 digit figure they both just nodded to all of her dealing. "... Don't worry dear, I was kind of hoping Ryuu'd leave the island some day. For as much as I worry, we both know he wanted a little bit of adventure in his life. Plus if a rich cute girl is going to steal him away from me, it'd rather be you~!" the woman joked as she folded up the check and stuffed it in her kimono. Possibly between her boobs because women have a sort of hammerspace there in case of large cleavage. And if the baby photos of earlier were anything to go by, the kimono only served it's purpose in hiding that fact well. "However... You hurt him and I'll have your head ona stick, you got that?" the woman spoke somewhat out of character for herslef before coughing to adjust her voice and laugh a bit casually. It seems Annie wasn't the only one with evil intentions. Kyo and Ryuu's mom just waved when Annie dashed in the kitchen to grab Ryuu.

Just as he was washing her bowl, his hand got grabbed and he was suddenly dragged along with her scheme. Kyo was still blushing but waved a goodbye and Ryu's mom had a devilish smile to her. "Goodbye Ryuu-chan~!" the two uttered in unison, his mother's voice ringing through a bit more afterwards since she added a suffix. The chef was confused by it all as he was being dragged out of his own shop. Annabelle was quite the active girl that's for sure. "S-show me around your ship? But why... I'm confused Miss Amagi, what is going on?" Ryuu spoke and ran along as to not trip and fall. The girl was dragging him along through the island back to her ship at a speed that was so high it made describing the environment more of a chore and seem like filler at this point. Everyone reading can already imagine what this island was like, no need to fluff that up some more.

Likely arriving at the ship soon, Ryuu was still baffled as to what was going on. Why would she show him around the ship and not Kyo, her fan? What did have have to do there... This was all so sudden too. What the hell was even going on?!?

"I would prefer you abstain from using the word 'steal' and instead refer to it as an 'acquisition,' but thank you for understanding none the less." Annie said as she gave a slight bow to Ryuu's mom once more. Of course she was a little surprised when Ryuu's mother gave her a slight death threat, but it was to be expected; after all, she was taking her boy away from her, plus if Azuki had taught her anything so far, it's that attractive women could be scary. Not like Annabelle herself would ever be scary and make people tremble in fear though. After all, she was just a pretty young lady who was very likable and never gave someone a reason to be upset with her or fear her, right? Right, we'll get back to that later and see if anything about that statement changes, which it won't, of course. Anyways, back to the original subject: "Don't worry, Mrs. Kurogami; Ryuu will be safe under my watch. I innsure it."

And so her time in the ramen shop came to pass; she was soon in the kitchen and dragging Ryuu out of there at insane speeds, not stopping for any reason and just electing to talk to him on the way, figuring he could handle something as simple as listening even when moving at incredibly high speeds. "You innvited me to your home, now I have to show you mine. Don't worry, you'll be back where you belong in no time." Little did Ryuu know that the place he belonged was not his ramen shop, but hopefully he'd pick up on the hints. Or maybe Annie would just remember to tell him. Because honestly, she was intending to sometime soon, but by this point she probably forgot entirely. She tends to forget important details sometimes, like telling people when they now work for her, or how many zeros to put at the end of a check, or how to fix her hair without making it too fizzy, stuff like that.

Pretty soon they arrived at the ship, and Annie immediately proceeded to drag Ryuu up the stairs/ramp/whatever to the deck of the ship. It was probably an unfamiliar sight for the simple chef considering a mansion boat with a pool and amazing front lawn on the deck wasn't exactly a common sight for anyone, really. It seemed like no one besides the crew members, who were getting ready for disembarking, was on the deck, so Annie proceeded to just drag Ryuu along to the front doors. "If you look around you, you will see the front lawn and the pool. In case you're wondering why it's in the shape of a 'D,' it's because it was Dani LaFleur's old ship and she sold it to me. I could probably try and change it, but I think it looks better the way it was innitially designed, plus it's a nice way to recognize her and her contributions to my current home."

They then entered through the front doors, revealing the inside of the mansion, or at least what was visible from this point of view. Arriving almost immediately to greet them was a certain big breasted, pink haired girl dressed in a style that completely contrasted the rest of the staff. Instead of wearing some sort of work clothes like the crewmen out on the deck or a maid outfit like the female staff, she instead wore a pink v neck that was probably a little too tight and revealed to quite a bit of the goods along with very, very, very short blue jean shorts and some pink converse. "Hello, Miss Annabelle. Found a man to elope with for the weekend, have we?" "Hi, Celly-chan. I'm not sure I understand what you mean though...." "To rendezvous with." "Huh?" "To get down with." "Down where?" "You're going to have sex with him."

And that was it; Annie...... you know what, I'm not even going to try and joke about it. It's just getting old. Young Annabelle was none the less flustered and was taken very aback by the comment. "S-s-s-sex? No no no, Celly, you have this all wrong." The pinked girl gave a skeptic look as she looked Ryuu up and down. "Attractive man, rich and pretty girl, seems like I have it all right." "No, you don't! This is my new friend, Ryuu, and I'm going to be showing him around the ship." Céleste giggled a bit, amused by Annie's naivety. "Sure, you're just 'friends.' 'Showing off your ship.' Riiiight." "It's true! Now if you excuse us, we have to start the tour." And with that, Annie whisked Ryuu off to start showing off some of the rooms, with Céleste following right behind them, shouting, "Wait, I have to show you the best places!!!"

While Annabelle had completely forgotten to mention to some of the guards or crewmen to go down to Ryuu's house to pick up his stuff, there was no reason to worry; Azuki was already on it. I mean sure, she left before Annie even spoke about her intentions to hire Ryuu and then get his stuff moved to the ship, but there's a thing called woman's intuition. And then there's a more relevant and important thing called shipper's intuition, and as soon as she returned to the ship herself, Azuki was already rounding people up to get Ryuu's stuff. Even if Ryuu tried to resist this new job (when he eventually finds out about it, of course), he would have no hope of escape; Azuki was now involved, and she's a shipper. And no one. Fucks. With. The shipper.

There's probably some guy out there in this world who was just dying to be whisked away by a young popstar of their dreams. Ryuu sadly, was not one of those guys. Confusion just kept building up until Annie explained why she was doing this. For some reason Ryuu got the idea that she was stretching the n of invited for some reason. The humourous pun went way over his head considering he didn't know that Annabelle's family has a lineage of running Inns. Boy, the readers must be heaving a big "Oooooooh" right now. Inn any case, it was certainly rude to reject the gesture at this point so Ryuu just sighed lightly and smiled politely. It was kind of er to give him a tour around her massive ship of riches and wealth. In a way, you could look at it as some rich brat flaunting her wealth to a guy who barely managed monthly payments on his own small restaurant. No, Annabelle was a nice person, totally not mean or anything like that. "... Alright then, I'll try to keep to the best of my abilities!" Ryuu replied as they were en route to the ship.

Arriving there however, Ryuu kind of wondered how much money Annabelle must not have. It was a simply enormous specimen of a ship, bigger than some buildings in the Neon North district. She even had a pool on this ship before they even entered the inside! Soft grass below his feet while he was being ragdolled inside, figure of speech of course, Ryuu hadn't even set foot on grass this soft before. Then Annabelle explained the shape of the pool and the evident bar setting in the middle of it to which Ryuu was even more surprised. He obviously knew who Danielle Lafleur was, hell, he was a fan of hers after he found out about her. Having married recently and whatnot, she still continued her pop career. Did she sell this boat to buy an even bigger one herself? Damn the rich had it nice... "You're friends with Danielle Lafleur? Wow, I'm impressed. She's a pretty famous and beautiful young woman... I suppose the talented have talented friends? Kukukuku~!" the black haired chef complimented Annabelle.

Though not directly, it was an implication that Annabelle was on par with such a famous and beautiful popstar like Dani. Gotta think and see through the subtleties to appreciate the kindness fully. Once inside, they were greeted by a young woman who was actually extremely strikingly similar to Dani. Ryuu found out her name was Celly. Witch each question Annabelle asked and with each answer Celly gave, Ryuu's face blushed several shades of pink until he was red as a tomato. Eloping?!? Rendez vous??? S-s-s-sex??? Thankfully Annabelle set the record straight, also completely taken aback by the pink haired young woman's words. "Y-yes!!! I'm just a friend of Miss Amagi, s-s-s-since she helped out my little sister greatly today... P-p-p-pleased to meet you Miss... Celly... My n-n-name is Kurogami Kiryuu but it's R-r-r-ryuu for short... I-i-i-if you feel inclined and comfortable enough to call me as s-s-s-such..." the chef stuttered out his words as he was trying to hide his blush. What's worse was looking straight at the young woman.

Not like he was afraid of her or anything, she was just simply stunning and leaving so very little to the imagination, it made Ryuu a bit more uncomfortable than he already was. Not every day you run into famous, beautiful, talented and rich people, especially not ones so bold. Ryuu just looked in Annie's direction, letting his eyes wander sometimes. Jeez, he couldn't help it okay, Celly was just obviously pretty okay!!! And for some reason she reminded him a lot of Danielle Lafleur, maybe her hair was different or something? "You certainly have some... Innteresting friends Miss Amagi... Ah, ha ha ha..." Ryuu spoke and laughed somewhat nervously. Suddenly realising he made an inn pun too, he decided to let it be. As he was whisked away, Ryuu got a little worried. "Uhm... It really is just a tour right? Because I have to get back and see what to do about my shop... D-d-d-don't get me wrong, you're a really nice girl but... I don't d-d-do that sort of thing..." the chef asked quite nervously himself. Celly seemed quite confident in her words and maybe... Annabelle was the type who had guys over for that sort of thing?!? Ryuu wasn't that bold at all though, plus he totally wasn't the type to just elope with someone...

"Yeah, but it's not like a 'we're pop stars who are best buddies' type thing," Annie said in response to Ryuu's inquiries about Dani and her relationship with the blue haired beauty. "We grew up together and were friends before we even thought about getting into the music industry; it's just by coincidence that we're now both idols, really." Unfortunately for Ryuu and his flirtatious ways, any insinuation that she was as equally talented as Dani went completely over her head. Just the idea that she was as successful as her senpai and best friend would have been completely ridiculous anyways, being outclassed on the silly meter only by implying she was just as attractive. Or course it could just be that Annie was being hard on herself and there was nothing wrong with being a different kind of attractive. Or maybe she was right and it would have just been a rather silly notion. Yeah, let's go with that.

Annie became even more embarrassed than initially by Celly-chan's comments after hearing Ryuu's response. Luckily the man was growing red enough for the both of them, eliminating any need for Annie to blush to help express the level of embarrassment they were feeling. "Stop it, Celly; you're making Ryuu feel uncomfortable!" The large chested lady giggled a bit in response, blushing just a tad bit herself as she looked Ryuu up and down. "Aww, but he looks so cute when he's flustered," she said to her boss. "Why if you're not going to go at it with him, I don't mind playing a little bit of Scrabble with him myself." She added in a wink, but before she could have done anything else to flirt with him (use your imagination), Annabelle cut her off. "We don't have time for board games, Celly-chan; we gotta got going."

As Annie began to whisk Ryuu off, she responded to Ryuu's verbal observation of the company she kept, completely missing the pun as she wasn't expecting anyone else to actually do it, purposefully or not. "Oh Celly's not that special; she may not look like it, but she's actually one or the waitresses on the ship. You have to really get on her about wearing her uniform and doing her job when there aren't cute guys around, or else stuff like this happens." The way she said that last part seemed more like an instruction and tip for Ryuu to use as opposed to just a casual comment about what Annie had to do herself, but that's probably because Ryuu would become Celly's boss as head chef. "But yeah, she's not really special. I mean, I guess she's Dani's long lost twin sister and what not, hence the name 'Céleste LaFleur,' but doesn't make her entitled or anything."

When Ryuu brought the whole "eloping" thing back up, Annie skidded to a halt, embarrassed and all too eager to try and shut up all this talk about "sex " once and for all. "Don't be ridiculous; I wouldn't bring you or anyone here for something so weird and vulgar, unlike some of my staff." She gave Céleste a look and glare, though the woman was a fair distance away, trying to play catch up since she wasn't nearly as fast as the other two. "You are here because you need the tour before you can get going, so that's all we're doing." Of course, "get going" meant "starting work" and not "go back home" like Ryuu probably thought it did, but oh well; he'd find out eventually.

Interesting. Inn puns aside this time around, Ryuu was somewhat surprised as Annabelle explained her relationship with Dani: "That's still quite impressive. Coincidence or destiny? Kukuku~! I'm happy for you that have such awesome friends, Miss Amagi, even if they're not... Best buddies as you proclaim~!" the chef replied. And then it all kind of hit him. Céleste Lafleur, the similar looks and proportions, the hair, the eyes, the lips... Of course! Ryuu was left a bit speechless that he actually already met so many different people today but of all the people to meet, he actually met a popstar and her entourage. It seems she worked as a waitress on this ship. Did Annie have a restaurant of her own here? The young black haired chef was suddenly interested to see the kitchen and head chef. Though he'd keep that excitement to himself. Giving off the wrong idea to Annie might backfire. For as much as she appeared to be a young cheerful girl, Ryuu could sense this serious side to her.

Perhaps even a certain slyness... Reassuring him about the whole casual pleasures thing, Ryuu sighed of relief. "Ah of course, please forgive me for you doubting you... It's just that... I'm absolutely not used to so many different women giving me all these hints and attention so I tend to misinterpret things sometimes. I will take note of this for the future though, miss Amagi~." Ryuu replied with more confidence in his voice. With Celly still somewhat chasing them, Annie insisted on the tour still which Ryuu didn't particularly mind but still didn't quite get why she insisted on all this. With the tour commencing, Ryuu was led all across the mansion boat. Frst thing of note what the modern architecture of the place. This really was less of a ship as it was just a floating hotel resort of sorts... Art and statues every now and then in the hallways was enough but the sheer amount of rooms was simply overwhelming...

A gymnasium, a library, a game room even a professional photoshoot room along with an indoor swimming pool as well!! Ryuu was simply speechless and nodded at every word he was told about the place. The second floor, the lower decks... This was simply enormous!!! And so stylish and expensive! The rich sure had it nice. Ryuu felt a little jealous at the sight of all this, despite his father being rich enough to afford all this, it wasn't something he could afford on his own. He made it a point to be independent a while ago but damn, all this luxury and beauty made him quite hard on himself for a moment. The last stop seemed to be the kitchen and extremely elaborate dining hall. It had enough room to dine at least 50 people probably. Walking into the kitchen, Ryuu took a headstart as his expression was like a young boy in a toy store. Rushing over to the large white clean kitchen, he saw that all the tools were of the highest quality. There was enough room to walk but not so that it would hinder you from your cooking.

The black haired chef even tried out the furnace there very briefly. It all worked so much perfectly than his own kitchen that this was like a paradise. "Ahhhhhh~... Miss Amagi, this kitchen is simply heaven! Equipped with the best cooking utensils, clean as a whistle... I must commend you for your exquisite taste!" Ryuu uttered in an almost ecstatic tone of voice. Turning over to her and rushing back to grab her hands, Ryuu was about as happy looking as a young boy getting a monster boat for Santamas. In some context that makes sense, just roll with it. "This whole kitchen is is simply marvellous Miss Amagi, I must speak with your head chef. They could probably tell me a lot more about it. Oh, some of their favourite dishes to prepare would be wonderful too! Ah, If only I had permission to cook here just once... I'm so unlucky~! Kukukukukuku~!" the black haired chef laughed, as he held both her hands in excitement. Hopefully he wouldn't freak Annie out too much... There was one thing about this whole tour that bothered him though. There didn't seem to be a lot of people and staff on the ship considering it's size... Was she still getting settled in?

Annie couldn't help but giggle in response to his whole mini speech about how he wasn't used to having so many women give him their attention. To be honest, she was actually a little surprised that it was foreign to him, as he was a pretty attractive guy and one would assume he would be very popular with the ladies and garner a lot of attention from them. Heck, he could probably get a whole ship full of women to fall for him, though that would most likely not be the case, especially on a ship like this where there was (or rather will be) a bunch of staff and the likelihood of every girl falling for him would be extremely low. Actually, she could go ahead and rule that out as impossible, considering she had not fallen for him and was certain she would not. I mean yes he was cute and nice and all the jazz, but she wasn't feeling anything. However, apparently Azuki and Céleste did, so obviously he was doing something right.

At any rate, his response was pretty adorable, the kind that was trying so hard as to not offend when there wasn't anything potentially offensive about it (or at least from Annie's perspective. "Hehe, don't worry Ryuu; if I was ever trying to flirt with you, you would be able to tell." Of course such a statement was all in good humor considering such a time would probably never come, though perhaps she would jokingly do it sometime just to have a little fun. That is, of course, assuming he wouldn't just shut her down like most other guys, despite whether her intentions were sincere or not. Actually, the only person who never ended up shooting her down was Zach, though he quickly caught on that any flirting was her torturing him a bit and having some fun.

Anyways, moving on: they went through the tour of the ship, going through all the rooms that didn't need to be described considering that's what the link to the ship in the SL Submission thread is for, eventually coming to a stop at the kitchen. It was hear that Ryuu revealed himself to be the comical genius that he was; he started joking about how much he would love to get a chance to cook in the kitchen and how he wanted to meet the head chef. She was half inclined to run with the joke and show him a mirror he was being so funny! But instead she just opted to genuinely laugh and just move on. "You see, this is why I like you. Great sense of humor. Now I don't know where everything is, but Celly-chan," she gesture to the pink headed girl, "Should be able to show you where everything goes. I don't need a sample since I already tried your cooking earlier, but you might want to still get a head start on dinner. Celly-chan should have a head count, so as long as she remembers to add you to that number you should be good. Any questions before I leave you to your work?" Annabelle beamed a smile of happiness at Ryuu, glad she had finally found a new head chef, especially one who was well aware of what he had gotten himself into.

Well aware, what nonsense was this?!? Just as Ryuu was getting into the spirit of things and in a good mood it seems his smile simply disappeared. Standing there in the kitchen, he kind of expected Miss Amagi to be more mysterious and devious than her innocent appearance gave away but after she told him about the flirting and now this joke? Ryuu wasn't entirely sure how to respond. Céleste had joined them in the room and seemed to waiting patiently this time around. Or rather catching her breath. After Annabelle dragged him through the ship on a rapid tour, Ryuu figured it would be quite the run for regular people. Trying to not let the beautiful girl in tight clothing and sweat, bent forward to catch too much of his attention, he regained his composure to continue the conversation: "W-w-what are you talking about Miss Amagi? I don't work here, I have my own place and for as lovely as this kitchen of yours is... It's not like I'm in charge here..." the chef spoke somewhat hesitant.

Having regained her breath, Céleste sighed loudly, stepping in between them: "Jeez, Miss Annabelle... I get that you wouldn't tell me if you were eloping with a guy but at least tell someone when you put them on your payroll... But wow, you suddenly got even more interesting! Ryuu, right?" the woman spoke as she wrapped herself around his left arm. "Cute, gentlemanly and you can cook? I'd like to try out some of your sweets, hot stuff~! Be sure to make my dessert extra special okay?" the girl flirted to which Ryuu just turned red as a tomato. Breaking free, he took a few steps back to which Céleste giggled. His shyness was adorable. Ryuu on the other hand suddenly felt extremely uncomfortable. Supporting himself against the counter, he was catching his breath a bit. "Uhm... I'm sorry but I think I'm just going to go home now... I thank you for your hospitality and it's been great to have this tour and meet you all but I'd just like to-"

"Go home? I believe you already are." Azuki suddenly spoke up as Ryuu just litterally sank to the ground right now in surprise. "All of your things have been moved to an open room, Mister Kurogami. I suppose it's Head Chef Kurogami now however... You have a room along with the rest of the bedrooms. I assume our mistress didn't forget to give you the tour at least?" the ninja maid spoke as she raised her head up in bit in wondering and then towards Annie with a bit of a stern look. Honestly... How could forget to tell him that? Ryuu just couldn't believe it. Did this 18 year old girl just trick him? Play him like a... Fool?!? It kind of pissed him off as he briefly grit his teeth, his smile disappearing. Getting up however, he simply sighed and had a more neutral appearance. At this point he couldn't really deal with the sudden re-assignment and the women, the trickery and the fact that his mother was probably in on all of this considering she even waved him goodbye. "Excuse me, I need to get some fresh air for a moment..." the black haired chef spoke as he walked out of the kitchen. His smile gone for now, he really could use a little smoke right now.

Out on the deck, Ryuu leaned over the railing as he lit up another cigarette from the special case he got. Exhaling slowly as he blew smoke in the air, he gathered up his thoughts. Perhaps a proper talk with Annabelle about this would be better to wrap his mind around it but for now he needed to figure out what he was going to say in the first place. Right now when he finally covered the mortgage of his own shop, this popstar comes in and whisks him away. Not like she wasn't a good person or anything but having his life laid out for him like this as some head chef for a young popstar was not how he envisioned his career. Travelling would nice considering all the great cooking islands out there but right now there's no way he could settle with this. Suddenly realising that Azuki and some others moved his belongings, it hit him they also probably saw his sword and the man panicked just a little bit. "My sword... Is it..." the chef spoke turning around, the cigarette about halfway through.
