Haiiro Village
Location: Southernmost Island

Anyone who lived on the islands of Hitsuji Archipelago could tell you exactly what happens there. The place was rather well off, or at least, in appearance, and didn't boast about a powerful military or navy. It looked weak, and wealthy, just the kind of place a pirate want to plunder. This was the bait, and many foolish a man had fallen for it.

In truth, the island was full of part-time bounty hunters, who made a living trapping, killing and turning in pirates whose bounty, dead or alive, netted them several million Beli at a time. The age of pirates was the best thing to happen to the island as now, everyone from its aristocrats to its lower citizens were able to enjoy high end amenities at the price of the heads of criminals. It was like, recycling!

However if you weren't a native, you wouldnt exactly have known that! Drea, was not a native. See where i'm going with this?

The young man entered a tavern with one goal in mind... to recruit a crew! There were some that he had met on the island who he had already asked, instructing them to meet him here when the time came. This was a milestone for Drea, and so, he was excited and nervous, like a kid in a candy store. The seventeen year old ordered a mug of beer (which took some convincing on his part, as he ran exclusively on beer, being a cyborg) and quite literally, set up a sign with a skull and cross bones and the words "Recruiting: Privateers, Adventurers and Pirates alike"

Unfortunately, in his time on the islands, he had managed to draw a great deal of attention from people. In one way or another, whether it was trying to get from one side of the island to the other, searching for legendary blacksmiths or just trying to get laundry done, the boy was involved all sorts of shenanigans which got him, and whoever he was with in trouble. These were the kinds of people, who drew attention to themselves, that the native bounty hunters were keen to watch. But with no bounty, they had no reason to attack Drea... yet.

As the boy stood, throwing back a brew in one hand and other hand with his fist at his hip, he waited for the friends he made to arrive, as well as to meet new individuals that he might call his crew mates!

Meanwhile.. many individuals already in the bar glared from across the tavern; some with devilish grins and wayward smirks at his little display. For these individual, Drea was just a snack. You could even see a few of them drooling if you looked hard enough..!

His ass hurt, it was about the only thing on his mind as this rampant beast galloped across the bumpy mud road, leaving him to bounce about on it like some freaking rag doll. What a barbaric way to travel, the more he suffered through it the more he missed the ease with which he’d traversed his old home world. For some reason here he was different, he’d ignored it at first thinking maybe his abilities would come back to him with time but in truth these days he felt like an entirely different person, as though the memories he had of his past were not his own. Perhaps it was a result of the transition, some after effect of traveling between worlds that he was unaware of, what was more troubling was that he couldn’t even remember what it was that had brought him here or why he ‘d done it. Being that he wasn’t most over thinking of individuals he’d let it go thus far and would likely continue too as long as he was flushed with sources of entertainment, but it niggled at the back of his mind, the sensation that he didn’t belong, feeling a lack of purpose.

Fortunately this period of self reflection was able to pass relatively quickly since ahead of him he saw shapes rise on the horizon. No longer was it simple grass plains, buildings rising up ahead of them, they had arrived, found their next destination, wherever that was in particular. It was krauss and will that were more prepared for this, looking for the transport that would take them out on their journey, but even that was lost from his thoughts as he entered the first sign of thriving civilization he’d seen since arriving here. It was unlike the town he’d come upon when first arriving, positively buzzing the throughs of people milling about the streets. Their speed slowed, unable to simply gallop further what with civilization impeding them. Though even as they ambled through the crowds it was clear that some areas of the small town were acquiring more interest than others, a gaggle of people gathered about something up ahead excitement buzzing around them.

Krauss seemed to fall asleep on the long trip to the village he was approaching riding a wagon that was driven by William with Wukong on the horses. He must have loved riding them horses for him to stay on it that long. Not before long the wagon soon slowed down to a stop and Krauss crawled out the back. At the edge of the back the bags filled with their spoils from their last endeavors was there. Grabbing one Krauss told William "I'll take one of the bags and you can take the other. You can meet me by the bar. Lord knows I kneed a drink but I'll stop the the clinic first so I can get this foot looked at." Krauss strapped the bag around him tightening the ax on his back even more. He then dropped out of the back on his good foot.

He Looked up and he saw the same style of buildings he saw before, rustic and old. However this rustic and old looking town was gonna be the town he start the rest of his life at. Limping on his sprained ankle he manged his way into the town. There seemed to be a crowd at the bar. That was good, maybe he could find a crew there. However he couldn't there now. He reluctantly limped pass and went into a clinic. Soon after a couple of agonizing minutes of waiting he then came out with a brace on this sprained ankle that allowed him to walk freely. Almost with a skip he went back to the bar where everyone was converging at. He sat next to a teenage looking boy with dreadlocks and ordered a beer. It was then he looked up and saw his sign and grinned a smile from ear to ear. Today was really the start of the rest of his life...

Billy was happily skipping along the side of the road; he was in an awfully good mood. As he made his way down the cobblestone streets many eyes stared at him is disbelief. The source of his happiness was what they were staring at. Billy had come across a nice piece of equipment and decided to -borrow- it indefinitely. It was a medium ship cannon. He had it adjusted nicely on his back so he could carry it with him wherever he needed to go. Though it was a medium cannon, it was by no means small. It was four feet long and about a foot in diameter and made of full steel. The onlookers shook there heads in confusion and continued on their way; all had the same conclusion that it was just a plastic prop toy the boy had gotten at a toy store.. no way it could be the real deal. But alas it was

The boy had been in this archipelago for quite some time now and done many things to pass the time but was getting bored since nothing -interesting- had happened in awhile. When he first came to the island he had met a big oaf, set a field on fire, got ambushed by bandits, got caught in a bear-trap, rolled down a hill into a river, spent 5 days in a hospital looting the hell out of it, met a girl, got caught between marines and bandits in a raid on the hospital(which was a secret undercover marine base) and finally was met with great disappointment when he looted the super secret room in the base. After that he and the girl had escaped the hospital, they had been ambushed once again by bandits waiting outside. He wasn't too sure what happened to the girl after that, but he was sure she was safe somewhere.

Billy had just about giving up in finding that dumb big oaf he had met first on the island. He was definitely someone Billy wanted to team up with. He had strength durability and speed and wasn't a weakling in the least, however the boy could just not figure out where the man had. Suddenly a light bulb burst in his mind. The first thing Apollo had asked Billy to find for him was a tavern. Billy had no interests in taverns because they were too crowded for his taste; he liked to be discreet about his work (a.k.a. mugging people in an ally-way and beating them up).

Anyhow the boy made his way to a nearby tavern to look for his friend Apollo. At first glance no one seemed to look like that big oaf, but he decided anyways that he would stay awhile and see if by the off-chance his acquaintance would show up. Just as Billy sat down on a stool to order a glass of water, a young man caught his eye. He couldn't have been more than 3 years older than himself and he was downing a mug of beer like it was nothing. This pissed off Billy rather fiercely. No one was stronger than he was because everyone (besides a select few) were weaker than himself!

The barkeep grinned a bit as she saw the small bald boy with a grumpy looking face sit down and said "What can I get for you young man, a glass of wate--" Billy interrupted the female before she could finish. F*ck you. Give me a mug of beer now before you get any older and can't do sh*t." As he said those words he regretted them a bit and added "Sorry ma'am I get anger bursts whenever I see a beautiful lady. But I really would appreciate a nice beer" Billy beat himself up in his mind; he really needed to think before he spoke sometimes.

The barkeep sighed and smiled bit before beginning to explain that he was too young for a beer. She was cut short once again as Billy removed the cannon from his back and placed it on the wooden stool right next to him. The stool creaked and cracked and bowed with the weight and came very close to collapsing to the ground. This was enough incentive for the woman to hand the boy a beer as quick as possible; completely awestruck. Billy Willy grinned widely as he accepted the drink happily. He immediately turned to the young man with the "recruitment sign"(for he was the young one with the beer)and stared him directly in the eyes before taking a gulp of the cold liquid. Billy would prove that he was the strongest

As the beer traversed down his throat, a weird sensation overcame his body. The liquid he just drank was definitely not as good as people had made it out to be. His body agreed immensely. The boy fell to the ground and began puking his guts out after just one swallow. The room fell asunder with laughter. especially from the barkeep that had served him.

Many different kinds of people filtered in and out of the tavern this day. He wasn't sure if it was busy or a normal sort of traffic, but so many people enjoying the life blood of beer had Drea in a good mood. He never really thought of how suspect it would look for someone as youthful as himself drinking beer in such a dark and suspicious domain until he looked over to see a person with an actual cannon... strapped to their back. Drea was shocked at first, that he was carrying a cannon, but observing his behavior, his mind was put to rest. Just another rowdy customer! Exactly what he would come to expect. After all, this was a tavern, and Drea would have been disappointed if the place was even the smallest bit less rough around the edges then the stories he had heard. So far, it was meeting his exception.

After order a beer, the guy (almost a kid, he couldn't have been any older than 15) stared at him and took a gulp; something Drea could appreciate. However not moments later was the guy dry heaving on the floor. Drea was shocked once again! Beer wasn't -that- bad, I mean, he could understand if it was hard liquor or something, but even a novice among drinkers could handle a few beers! This man was an exceptionally light weight, and seeing as though he looked like a kid didn't make it any better! Drea thought for a moment; was that how people saw him when he was drinking when he was a kid? Did they think he was some sort of raging juvenile alcoholic, chugging down beers like water? If only they understood that he didn't even -get- drunk; that he needed alcohol to live?!

But wait... what a perfect ploy!

Emerging from his seat, Drea walked out into the crowd, immediately demanding attention, "YOOO!!!!" He yelled, hoisting his beer in the air. "IS ANY MAN AMONG YEE SO BRAVE AS TO STAND TALL AGAINST THE WIDE AND DANGEROUS SEA!? ANY ADVENTURER OR BANDIT DROLLING AT THE MOUTH WITH THE IDEA OF UNCHARTED LANDS AND TREASURE AND LOOT?! I DARE ANY ONE OF YOU TO STEP UP AND JOIN ME AS I SET SAIL! OR IS NO MAN CAPABLE OF SAILING UNDER THE GRAVEYARD PIRATES, AND IS LEADER, CAPTAIN BLUEDREADS!?"

He screamed as the place went silent. Drea threw back the beer, downing it in a gulp or three. "I'll drink any man no matter the times my size under the table to prove my salt. But if you lose, you have to sail under me! If you win, your drink is on me!"

While some people showed interest, many others were immediately angered by the taunting words of the younger man. The bounty hunters laced through the crowd of people grew ever more anxious.

For a semi broken man Krauss didn’t seem to bothered about strapping ever more weight onto himself before hopping from the carriage, still able to hobble along despite his warped ankle. William on the other hand had decided he gave no fucks for his surroundings or travel companions and had fallen asleep, THIS MOTHERFUCKER HAD BEEN DRIVING THEM HERE, WHAT IF THEY DIED? Well no point lamenting it now, no matter how long his nap had lasted they’d arrived now and that was what counted. With karuss departing and William incapacitated that just left Wukong on his own as he had been at the days start, to go and explore this new town.

What to expect? He had no clue but it was busy enough for him to assume it’d be something of decency, hopping down from the carriage he headed through the streets, while the throngs of people rushed past him, each and every one with their own business to attend to, business that was apparently too urgent to even say excuse me as they shoved him from their path. It was starting to get annoying, did not one of these mud men have even an ounce of politeness in them? He was about to question the state of their morality a little further when his lack of concentration towards his surroundings left him with his tail getting stepped on. He howled out a shriek, one so loud and animalistic the town around him froze momentarily as he clasped his hands over his moth thinking perhaps he’d committed some grave insult, but after a moments appraisal they seemed to dismiss the irregularity and continue on with their day.

As he walked the tantalizing scent of grilled meats reached his nostrils and instantly he was aware of just how empty his seemingly endless stomach was, that meal he’d engorged himself upon earlier had been satisfying without question, but time had passed and it would not keep him full forever, infact from the state of things apparently it wouldn’t even keep him full for a couple hours. Rushing the stand He ordered several of the meat kebabs shoving them into his mouth once after another until his cheeks bulged and his throat clogged unable to engorge itself any further, attempting to swallow he found himself choking, hammering his chest with a solid fist in the hopes it would resolve the situation.

It didn’t.

And as he began to go blue in the face a solid THWACK to the back had his airways disloged and his half chewed meal spewing from his mouth all over the face of the vendor. Locking round he small a young smiling boy to be his saviour but in the midst of thanking him with the last of his kebabs a slew of curse words hailed down upon him from the vendor himself. About to chastise the man for the tyrade of abuse in front of a minor he caught wind of a word that sent a cold sweat trickling down his spine. Payment.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK, he didn’t have any money, none that could be used here any way and the only thing of value on his person was his staff, and he’d send each and ever person here to hell before he gave that up. Realising his options were limited and that the man before him was only increasing in anger it occurred to him he was left with but one option to resolve the situation. Run.

And run he did, scarpering down the street while the angry yells grew ever fainter in the distance, the chubby stall owner unable to keeping up with the agile young primate, ducking into an alley he saw a pair of men with rifles, their clothes dyed white and blue with the word “marine” on the back come charging past, hearing the yell for requests on information about where a tailed youth had run off too. Yeesh that was close, and the afternoon had barely begun.

Wandering the ally ways he realized he’d found an entirely new side to the city, here was where the blemishes were hidden, where the wenches and homeless were hidden, shoved away with the mentality that if they couldn’t see it, it didn’t exist. It was dank, debilitated and just generally grim. But he didn’t hate it. Here was where you found the weak, the helpless, those discarded by society who had no one looking out for them. Wukong didn’t believe in charity, he had worked for everything he had gained and it made him the man he was today….or monkey..he was never really too sure, but he did believe in giving people a platform, a base from which they could climb higher and higher until they were satisfied. That was what these people needed, just that first leg up so they could better themselves, but no body gave it, because it was always so much easier to just ignore a problem than try to fix it, truly it was a sad state of affairs.

As the sound of raised voices and babbling crowds reached his ears once more he looked up to see he’d reached the end of the ally and was coming out near the bar he’d seen earlier, the same tavern that had been surrounded by so many people, watching he saw the source of the commotion, there was a man in the center of it all making a boastful bet, an offer of remuneration for any who could best him in drinking. Immediately wukongs reaction was to take him up on his offer, even despite the fact he had no idea what this worlds liquor was really like. But then his mind traveled back to earlier events and the fact that he actually had no money to pay for any of this so if he lost he was done. Plus the price was servitude, he never bet anything he wasn’t willing to lose and his freedom did not fall into that category. Fortunately though he saw a familiar face among the crowd, kruass making his way though, ”Oi, OVER HERE!” he yelled over the din of the crowd. He was curious to find out if the man had made any progress in his quest to find a sailing party.

This island was beginning to really piss Shina off. The girl traveled with aid of crutches. Her foot was wrapped tight in a small cast. She'd be able to remove it in a few days and begin rehabilitating her leg. Just the thought of it made her cringe. Still it was surprising how quickly the hospital had been able to process her. Billy, after offering her his hand, was awfully quick to abandon her in the midst of several bandits. She would have died if it hadn't been for a well timed marine intervention. Fuck that tall skinny bald-headed asshole. She'd have to remember to find him and mess him up sometime.

Still, Shina had a direction to travel. She was holding one of the random signs that had been scattered about and she recognized Drea's attempt at gathering a crew immediately. She had felt uncomfortable saying her farewells to him due to the suddenness of their parting. In the pit of her gut Shina truly wanted to thank the man for carrying her to the hospital. It wasn't often someone did an act like that out of pure kindness. She wanted to repay him and, honestly, there weren't a lot of ways to do that. The least she could do would be to offer herself as a crewmate in his 'gathering'. She was, after all, a thief in the end. She was a rather virtuous thief but a thief nonetheless. Perhaps Drea could find use for her skills.

She entered the tavern just in time to catch an eyeful of Billy hurling his guts out and Drea immediately flaunting his drinking abilities. That cheat. He ran on alcohol! Shina almost smiled at the thought. It was a rather humorous endeavor nonetheless.

The room was filled with conflicting emotions. Shina had been on this island long enough and talked with enough people to know just how these islands managed to gather their funds. The issue with that all was that if a man had no bounty and they attempted to stop them, they'd be working for free. Nobody liked to do that. So Shina would stake her bets that the islanders wouldn't interfere so long as there was nothing to gain from it. That didn't mean she was going to attempt to piss them off, though. That seemed rather counterintuitive and counterproductive at the same time.

Still the offer for a drinking contest intrigued her. She knew she wouldn't be able to surpass the cyborg who literally processed the poison, but she could easily outclass that poor bastard Billy who was still hurling his lunch on the floor. Shina pondered just how much the fellow had downed before he ended up in this state? There was only one glass, a seemingly full one at that, near him. There was also a cannon next to him as well. That gave the girl pause for a moment as she contemplated it. Billy was indeed strong enough to lug around a hunk of iron like that, but the real question is why he would want to? If the issue was about intimidation he could probably achieve the same goal by punching a hole in a wall or breaking some structure nearby. Perhaps he wished for a more subtle form of intimidation? Or maybe he was just that dumb he thought it'd be useful in a fight? She couldn't picture him aiming it that well, but a cannonball wasn't exactly a small projectile. Perhaps, due to his lack of aim, this was the only option for him? Surely a shotgun would provide enough spread to accompany his bad aim?

None of that mattered, though. Shina eyed Drea and approached his table. She laid a bill on the table, the last of her cash on hand, before staring up at him. "Bartender, give me your hardest jack." Said the girl with a smirk on her face. It was almost strained considering she wasn't too skilled at turning her mouth upwards. Moving just the corner of it in that direction was hard enough, but it was hopefully enough for the message to get across. She wasn't in her penguin suit, having no idea where it ended up, but she still hoped Drea would recognize her easily enough in a pair of jeans and a low-cut form-fitting blue top.

The woman serving the drinks wasn't pleased by the tidal wave of teenagers ordering alcoholic drinks, but she didn't voice her concern. It was often best not to cause an incident in this line of work. Hell, she wasn't even supposed to let people purchase bottles like this, but by doing so she could markup the price enough to earn herself a little extra off the top. It wasn't pretty, but it helped her get by enough. Not to mention she wasn't so cruel as to deny a drink from someone in a cast. That would make her look downright villainous. She took the cash Shina had laid down and set a bottle of hard stuff in front of the girl.

Shina, setting her crutches off to the side (leaning against another chair), took a seat and grabbed the bottle. She took several hard swigs and set it down without the slightest inkling of being worse for wear. There were benefits to having a hardier constitution, one was tolerance to alcohol. It seemed Billy wasn't so lucky. She almost wondered what that bald bastard would think when he finally realized what was going on. Shina was killing two birds with one stone. She was out-drinking, and thereby embarrassing, Billy; all the while she was also saying to Drea that she'd be willing to join his crew. It was a rather calculated move, all in all.
"And says 'at last' just as the time bell rings
Goodnight, now it's time to go home
And he makes it fast with one more thing

We are the Sultans of Swing"

Krauss started at the boy and listened to his statement. He couldn't have want it any other way. Krauss finished his glass of beer and ordered three more. He held one in one hand the held two in the other hand using the handles. It was kinda difficult to do using the steel gauntlets he picked up while in town waiting to see the doctor but nevertheless he had done it. He then stood up tall with the bag still strapped to his back, tightening his 4 foot iron battle axe to his back and raised his glasses to the young boy

I, Krauss Lawston, will join yer crew! I have business in the Grand Line so there is no sea I'll fear! I'll drink to you also, I Like a good challenge!

With that he chug all three beers almost Simultaneously. Almost Flawlessly he drank all three glasses, with a few drops dripping on his clothes and slammed it down and let out a hearty laugh. As he set his glasses down, he saw Wukong in the midst of the crowd. Krauss was elated to see him and thought that he would have at least a face he could recognize with him when he joined the crew, however Krauss had to make sure that Wukong would be joining as well. He approached the monkey man and wrapped his arms around shoulders still laughing and grinning. This sudden burst of happiness might have been due to the amount of liquor in his system mixed with his easygoing and friendly nature. "Oi Wukong! Are ya gonna join this crew with me!? There's nothing to fear, you have me with ya!"

And there Billy was, practically swimming in the puddle of his own vomit. The laughter of the room was only quenched by the loud statement from the teen in dreads. He was willing to take anyone on in a drinking contest, losers forced to join his crew. This pissed off Billy rather fiercely. Was that guy seriously rubbing in the fact he had a high tolerance for a crap tasting beverage like beer just to spite Billy even further? The answer was probably no, but Billy nevertheless was filled to the brim with anger. Just as he was about to let his anger overflow into action, a certain individual caught his eye as she walked past him and towards the guy in the blue dreads.

The boy then muttered, "Oh sh*t its that girl..." Billy jumped up to return to his seat and acted like nothing happened, but the sour smell of his stained clothes and the bit of puke dripping from his nostrils clearly told otherwise. He stared at Shina as she ordered a drink and slammed it down without even showing any ill effect. The boy had no idea how she could do that when he couldn't or why she was intent on joining. As Billy looked around he saw that other people, namely a guy with a giant weapon on his back, take up the teen's offer.

The boy then decided on his course of action and spit in the glass of beer in front of him. In a swift motion he threw the glass on the ground and watched as it shattered into. He then grabbed his steel cannon, aimed it, and fired it directly at pile of shards and beer that was on the wooden floorboards of the tavern. Though Billy could easily handle the recoil and weight of the cannon, he wasn't very good when it came to aiming and almost missed his target even though he was so close to it.

A loud noise echoed the tavern as the steel ball was fired from the cannon, broke through the floor boards and embedded itself in the stone foundation below. Tiny shards of board and fragments of glass were scattered around the area but were to tiny to do any real damage. Immediately after reloading his cannon, Billy placed it on his back and walked over towards the teen in the blue dreads. Billy knew that Drea had won this round, and he wanted revenge... most likely in the form of stealing every single beli and item of wealth from him, so he said with a bit of a temper, "The name's Billy Willy. I'm gunna join your d*mn crew but I ain't drinking any more of that sh*tty stuff. It tastes like 3 year old piss. As for what I can do... You'll just have to wait and find out. Also that girl, keep her away from me.... I don't know what she's capable of either." Billy knew that Shina probably wanted revenge for leaving her behind, but in his defense Billy knew that she wouldn't die then and there as well as the fact that marines were probably going to help her anyways.

Billy's actions definitely drew some attention from the other people in the tavern, but no-one seemed to do anything about it but they all grew impatient and had angry faces, but they were still laughing/snickering a bit among themselves about how much that Billy had thrown up. The bartender however was simply throbbing with anger. She had no patience left for the bald weird kid.

Time had been spent on this island, time that belonged to the young William Avery. He had made his way to this village along with two other companions and it was a great sight. It was a little better than the previous village he was at, but only because there were no local authorities here to chase and harass him. The town was just like the other one, there were some hustle and bustle going on around the place but it wasn't much, in his head of course. Once they had been in the place long enough the three of them had decided that they would have some fun in a local tavern, though William was quite blunt with the fact that he didn't drink alcohol. That didn't matter though, they were free from their problems at the moment and he felt pretty upbeat about it.

"I'll take one of the bags and you can take the other. You can meet me by the bar. Lord knows I kneed a drink but I'll stop the the clinic first so I can get this foot looked at." He had heard Krauss tell him as he groggily made his way up onto his feet as they stopped near some buildings, one of which seemed to be the tavern, which seemed to have garnered some recent attention as of late. As they walked he watched Krauss make his way to the clinic and waved him off, continuing on into the local bar with Wukong hopefully following behind him. The place reeked of beer, as they always did, and he made his way towards one of the tables that was not occupied by loud and obnoxious people that he didn't even know. As he did so he noticed a guy, a dreadlocks-having guy make an announcement that he was forming a crew and wanted some able bodies to assist him. Originally thinking it was just some drunkie asking for some attention, he continued on his way, wondering if he was being serious or not. He then noticed someone else who didn't seem too much older than himself walk in and wondered what business the guy had there, other than some obvious reasons that he could not think of at the time. Then once he saw the guy chug beer and suddenly throw up his guts in beer he watched the bar go crazy with laughter, something he didn't really find too funny. He then saw Krauss enter the bar, with a new piece of equipment on his ankle, and watched him sit down by the one guy who had been asking for anyone to join him into forming a crew, who had just recently announced a drinking contest for anyone who wanted to dare challenge him.

This guy might just be serious... William thought to himself as he watched Wukong and some girl appear inside of the tavern, and he was somewhat glad that the monkey-guy was alright. He felt himself standing up and felt his heart tell him to accept the dude's offer and join him, and his brain began to confirm it when he heard Krauss say he'd join him. That was the green-light, he was gonna go and ask him if he could join, if Krauss believed the guy was serious then he'd have no problems with trying to join as well. Making his way over to Krauss and the dreads-guy he looked over at Krauss, and then back at the guy. "Hello there mister, seeing as how my friend here believes that what you were saying about having a pirate crew were true, I'll take my chances and trust his instincts. I'm William, William Avery, and I'm a thief first and foremost."

Drea was shocked and delighted with all of the positive feedback his announcement had gotten. A number of people stepped up to introduce themselves and their willingness to join his crew. As a few people spoke their name, he immediately committed them to memory, and as people stepped up, the bar keep followed suit. He poured a number of mugs of beer and slung them down the wooden tables, collecting for each contestant to have their shot at swigging it down faster. The thing was, they would go one by one, and people would think that as a person drank they would become more and more intoxicated. They had just watched a boy who wasn't exceptionally large down one beer already. Any participants would no doubt believe that their chances were better if they were towards the back of the line. But Drea had goaded the lot of them. As a cyborg whose source of energy was beer, he was absolutely fine drinking without getting intoxicated or sick.

"Excellent! I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you over this here beer! Show me your spirit!" he said, clutching his beer and waiting for the first combatant to step up.

But what he hadn't realized that the positive response had sent the many bounty hunters over the edge; practically foaming at the mouth. Whether the people in the crowd that had agreed were already pirates or not, the bounty hunters felt so horribly taunted that they couldn't help but emerge and reveal themselves. One by one they stood, grabbing and gripping their weapons. Drea looked up from his beer before taking the first sip. In his eyes, these were other people looking to sail to open seas, but as one man approached, a menacing look on his face and a broad, grim smile, Drea noticed something was off (Obviously. This was actually a better example of his obliviousness than anything else.) His suspicions were confirmed when the man slammed the sword down in front of him. Drea didn't need to dodge, the swing was obviously a warning shot.

"New pirate or not, bounty or not, we're crushing this dream before it even starts!" the man said. A small mob gathered behind him, with the same expression and intention.

Drea got the message loud and clear. He looked to his beer, then to the people who were in his 'crew', then back to the men, "Change of plans men! First competition... first one to the docks win! We're gettin' outta this joint!" he said!

Then somewhere in the tavern, someone was hit in the head with a bottle... the international sign that a bar fight should begin. And begin it did...

He was not wrong it seemed, Kauss taking only moments to offer himself up to the young stalwart drinker as a prospect for the crew he was gathering, his appetite for adventure bubbling over at the sound of the offer. The acceptance was loud and emphatic followed momentarily by questioning whether wukong intended to do the same. It was a somewhat loaded question, especially given the fact he’d already offered to travel with them for the foreseeable future, but the short answer was no. It wasn’t particularly that he had anything against pirates, though the crew system did require he take orders from someone else and that was something he couldn’t abide in the slightest, his mischievous and generally selfish nature was not one that could be subjugated and that aside he just generally didn’t like being told what to do. But more than that he was a transient individual, filled with spontaneity, he didn’t plan his future actions he simply did as he felt like doing when he felt like doing it. So the idea of agreeing to join something like this, an agreement that inferred some degree of permanency, simply didn’t work for him. After all he might be a prankster and even at times a thief but unless it was for a truly good reason he wasn’t generally a liar.

That said he fully intended to travel with them, and as long as he did he’d be sure to earn his keep, he was no slacker. But not as a crewman, simply as a passenger, the boy seemed jovial enough with a disposition open to taking all comers so assumedly that would be fine, though it’d be a shame if not, after only just now making some new comrades he didn’t much fancy losing them so quickly.

No sooner had Krauss accepted the offer before he heard William’s familiar vocals, finally he’d arrived and it seemed like his friend was eager to take the dreadlocked boy up on his offer, waiting only moments before voicing his acceptance, both met with a rapid welcome from the young drunkard who seemed to have no trouble at all accepting all comers. Though there were those who wished to sour the party, the dull thud of metal against wood was enough to draw all eyes to the newest comer, though his intentions lay a far cry from application. Voicing his opinion that despite having done nothing wrong yet they were all guilty and thus deserved to be stopped in their tracks.

Before he knew what he was doing wukong had drawn his staff from his back and thrust it into the mans throat leaving him choked and gasping for breath, sure sure it was a cheap shot given he was entirely distracted but he made no apologies, he’d never been a fan of those who were willing to cast people as guilty until proven innocent. ”Oi oi, you got nothing better to do than go around bullying youths?” his tone was mocking while his expression had become a baiting one, just daring the man to admit to such petty behaviour ”If they ain’t done nothing wrong yet then they ain’t criminals which means you got no place to be getting in the way, it’s not really my business but I don’t got no time for those who like to go around bullying people as they please, so perhaps you could stop here, or we could take it a little further and see whose left standing by the end” There was a malevolent glint in his eyes as he issued the challenge, his face grinning wildly at the proposition while his tail flicked playfully into the air, a sign of it’s masters incorrigible disposition towards the idea.

Though in actuality this held no real bearing on the way events unfolded, since seconds later the sound of shattering glass was all the bar needed to decend into a brawl, violence washing over the crowd like a tidal wave. In the midst of it all the dreadlocked boy suggested they scarper, and with that he and all those who’d decided to follow him were quick to start their way on making a hasty exit. This too meant wukong, who with a playful wink turned his back on his foe who was just starting to get his voice back, rasped yells of coward and pussy accompanied by the sound of footsteps behind him. But he had intention of waiting to see how close the approach was gaining on him. Following the wave of momentum out the bar and towards the docks. This was it, they were on their way, next stop….Adventure!!

While he was probing Wukong on whether he was going to join or not, he noticed William stepped up and approached the blued haired captain. Krauss could not be any happier. If its anyone he would want at his side sailing the seas, it would be William. One reason is that he would be a face he already already knew and him and William had already formed a bond when they pulled that heist at that traders house. The crowd was thick so he couldn't see him in the crowd or even when he came in for that matter. He didn't see him drink any beer before at the first bar they were at and he didn't see him hold any form of mug so Krauss could only guess he didn't drink, which was fine. Everyone has their own style of living and Krauss chose to be subjugated to that liquid courage, which some people hate the smell and taste off, called beer. Beer is what help Krauss relax after a long day.

Still hugging on Wukong, Krauss shouted loud enough so William could hear, "Oi William, I'm glad you could make it! I see you're also joining the crew with me huh? Glad to hear it! At this rate, getting to the Grand Line will be easier than I thought. I also still have that 'list' that we got, so maybe we could make a couple of 'stops' on the way huh" Krauss let out a hearty laugh as he enunciated on the words 'list' and 'stops'. With this, the dream is alive and no one was going to stop it. He didn't want to conquer the new world or anything of that sort. First he just wanted to find whoever K.L and M.L was. However, in his excitement he forgot one thing. Krauss overlooked the fact that this was the Hitsuji Archipelago, famous for the bounty hunters lurking and preying on the pirates that made its way through these channels. Just as Krauss laughed he noticed a couple of men rising with weapons in hand and slowly approaching as a mob that slowly wiped the smile of Krauss's face.
"New pirate or not, bounty or not, we're crushing this dream before it even starts!"

Ahhh great! Just what I needed. It wasn't enough I sprained my ankles. Krauss then looked over to the blue haired captain as he waited for a response. "Change of plans men! First competition... first one to the docks win! We're gettin' outta this joint!"

At the words competition his eyes sparkled as he skilfully emerged his weapon from his back to his hand. Krauss then slammed it on the floor. The bartender must be tired of getting his floor messed up. "Aye Sir! See yall at the docks"

The bounty hunters then charged at the new formed pirate crew with a broken bottle sound to start off the fight. Krauss then grabbed his weapon and raised his shoulders. As they came in closer Krauss swung the weapon from right to left using his shoulders to control the power and direction of the swing, aiming for their necks/face. Krauss attack only connected to two of the bounty hunters leaving them on the floor in a pool of their own blood. The others backed off to avoid getting hit.

Krauss immediately made way to the door somewhat sprinting with his weapon still in his hand. Then two more bounty hunters blocked the only entrance and exit. Krauss did not falter as he smiled "Do you think that yall are going to stop me?" Krauss said picking up speed. He then turned himself with his weapon slightly to the left and then used his hips for extra force and his already raised shoulders for control as swung horizontally at the bounty hunters. The attack connected and the bounty hunters fell back as their chest had been cut. Krauss then took that opportunity to exit heading towards the docks however all of that movement was taking a toll on his braced ankles however Krauss wasn't about to get caught now as he powered through the pain towards the docks.

Billy watched quietly as people went up to blue haired dude and asked them to join the crew. Billy examined each of them as he began to formulate how he was going to eventually betray them all and make off with all their loot. So far he noted the young short tan well-built captain; a blonde haired young innocent-looking boy; a man as tall as himself with brownish hair and was quite muscular and of course Shina. Out of all of the people that seemed to show interest in joining the crew, Shina scared him Billy the most, mostly because she would be well aware of the fact that he would try to betray them for a profit whenever the chance arose.

Captain Drea then spoke as he welcomed all the applicants into the crew, said a bunch of good words, and held out a beer to all the new crew members. Billy obviously accepted the beer-mug but spilled it out behind him onto the floorboards when no one was look. And there it was; he was now part of a newly formed crew called the Graveyard Pirates. The skinny bald boy did sort of felt bad for deciding to leave the big oaf Apollo behind, but then decided that he could probably pull off even bigger jobs with the new assortment fate had dealt him and felt even better.

All of a sudden an anxious looking guy approached the new captain and starting saying a bunch of big words about stopping them before they begin. Others soon made their way to the man and stood behind him. Bounty hunters. Billy admired their willingness to disrupt the merriment of the bar for their own personal gain and also felt sorry for them at the same time. He wasn't about to yet a bunch of hillbillys stop him from using this potentially profitable newly formed crew. Before Billy could ever begin an attack, an old bald guy busted a glass over the head of someone in the bar and the typical stereotypical bar fight ensued.

The captain then told his crew to race to the docks and the first one their would be the winner. Billy wasn't that competitive when it came to contests and the like, (unless of course it was a contest of strength which clearly Billy would never lose) but reluctantly showed excitement and happiness on his face. Billy knew he needed to become the most delightful crewmate on the crew during his stay here to ensure no one was onto his true intentions. "Sure thing captain. See ya there." And with that, Billy calmly walked through the crowding group of bounty hunters.

The men were a bit perplexed as why the boy seemed so calm and to be honest it pissed them off. Four buff guys encircled the boy and slowly began closing in. Billy sighed a bit as he grabbed his cannon off his back and gripped it tightly within his hands. It a swift motion he spun around and extended the cannon in such a way that barrel of it hit each of the individuals squarely in the jaw; sending them straight into the ground. Billy of course, being billy, rummaged through their belongings before continuing on his way. He wore a big smile on his face as he made his way out of the tavern and down towards the docks. There was nothing quite like beating up and robbing weaklings; especially with his new cannon.(which he could barely use properly)

William smiled as he took the mug of beer and stared at it with a blank expression. "I'd rather not." He said as he slid it back towards the barkeep. He looked around at all of the other people who showed interest in joining the crew as well, and he noticed some faces staring at them with ugly expressions. Perhaps these guys wanted to cause some trouble? If so, he hoped that they were at least worth it. They were just staring at them, which meant only one thing; these butt-ugly faced losers were probably bounty hunters looking for a chance to get known by taking them out before their adventures even got started.

Then suddenly one of the guys made their way over to Drea and slammed his sword into the table like he was someone important or something. The guy looked pretty strong, though he seemed like he wasn't the smartest person to walk into the place but then again, who was? He then noticed the guy's friends started to inch closer to himself and his new crewmates, seemingly ready to brawl if they needed to. Knowing that these guys might have the numbers game on them he was slightly relieved when Drea made it a contest to escape and make their way to the docks when something unexpected happen. Someone...in the crowd of alcoholics and losers...had the balls to throw a beer bottle at his head! And it still had some beer in it too!

Boundaries had been crossed. He wanted the blood of the beer-thrower on his daggers before he left this tavern. "Who threw it!?" He asked as he rubbed his head with one hand and pulled out a dagger with the other. As he said that he watched as the crowd began to engage in a big and fierce bar fight. He'd have to take a rain check on that guy for now, these bounty hunters were in his crews' way of escaping. Good thing he was angry, he wasn't really in the mood for fighting until now, and there were some perfectly good practice dummies around that he could channel his anger threw. Before he could attack the bounty hunters some drunken idiot decided to pick a fight with him because he looked so weak and innocent, a few slashes from his daggers proved the dummy wrong though. Then a second bottle was thrown, and yet again it hit him on his head, angering him greatly. "That's it! Whose the wiseguy throwing bottles!?" He yelled as he ran towards one of the bounty hunters and buried his daggers into his body in a rage-induced moment. He then kicked the bounty hunter off of his daggers and looked over towards where the other bounty hunters were and noticed that they were caught up into the bar fight as well. He then began to make his way out of the tavern, punching and slashing at anyone who wanted to stop him. This place was pissing him off, he needed to leave. Now.
