Shina's eyes gazed about the hospital room with a childish wonder. The last thing she remembered was smashing Drea's metal pole into The Tengu's head. Her mind tried to replay the events of the evening, but they were jumbled and her head was aching. She had been given pain killers. That much was obvious. Her head wasn't quite working to peak efficiency, but that was to be expected.

Shifting her weight slightly, Shina gazed down at her suspended and bandaged up leg. It wasn't in a cast, but the bandages were bulky and rather inconvenient. She didn't feel any pain, but, then again, she wasn't feeling much of anything right now. There must have been some serious pain killers in her iv. The room was smallish, but quaint. It seemed Shina was the only patient here at this time. None of the bed curtains were drawn and every other set of bedding was made to hospital standards with the corners folded beautifully. It was then that Shina took note of the most interesting object. Next to her bed was a folded wheelchair.

Getting her leg out of the hanging apparatus was, perhaps, the most difficult thing Shina had ever attempted. Her body was numbed making it hard to use fine motor controls, and, despite the numbness, when her leg shifted a burst of pain would shoot through her body.

Twisting and turning, almost to the point of writhing, Shina finally managed to turn onto her stomach. The only problem was that her leg still remained in the sling. She continually struggled to free herself until finally she felt her body slipping off the bed.

"No no no no no noooo." Hummed the girl as her upper body fell to the ground while her leg remained in the sling, actually managing to wrap the sling itself around it like a vice tangling her up. Reaching up in an attempt to pull herself back onto the bed, however, proved futile as she could only get hold of the sheets and they, being fairly loose after having an occupant, came undone and flopped over on top of the girl smothering her.

If anyone were to walk into the room at this time, they'd be in for a good laugh.

Drea strolled through the hospital enjoying a nice tall glass of pale ale. Usually they wouldn't let individuals drink in a hospital. In fact, it took a great deal of convincing on his part to show them that he was more machine than human, and that his cyborg parts ran on this otherwise foul and volatile substance. It was funny to think that what turned man into beasts was also something that could perfectly satisfy a cyborg.

He had a few chips and bangs of his own from their previous encounter, but his trip to the local blacksmith (who was apparently legendary or something), was all he needed to get the dings and dents buffed out. He was also able to salvage something otherwise important that was left behind. It was a penguin suit that belong to Shina. She was stuck in it (the zipper had malfunctioned) and was forced to rip it off in order to have the agility needed to dodge incoming arrows. While Shina had been out, he figured it would be a kindness of his to have the penguin suit fixed, along with it's broken zipper. Hopefully she would be happy to see it when she woke up!

As he turned the corner into the infirmary room where she was; he was shocked to see that what was once a girl was no a jumbled mess of bandages, hoists, pulleys and gadgets. In his surprise, he comically sit out the mouthful of beer that he had, spraying it across the hospital floor, "Sh-Shina! You're awake!" He said, collecting himself and wiping his mouth as he moved to her bed side.

"Here let me help you!" he said, gathering her up and back into the bed as opposed to the wheel chair which was her original objective, "Jeeze girl, aren't you a sight for sore eyes! Got pretty wild back there!" He said with a bright smile, "How does it feel to have slept for three days straight!? I'm kind of jealous actually!"

Struggling in her white tomb, a familiar voice brought Shina back to reality for a moment. She felt a pair of hands grip her and assist her in breaking free of her sheetified bonds. The pain shooting through her due to her leg's position finally began to ease up as she was returned to her bedridden state. Her hair was disheveled from the tumble and a single long lock was hanging down over her forehead and partially obscuring her right eye. With a frustrated face, cheeks puffed out and all, Shina gave a short huff of breath focused on blowing the hair strand out of her face. It immediately fell back down to it's previous resting place.

...

It took a moment for Shina to process just what Drea had said, and it was horrifying.

"Three days..." Said the girl in a hushed tone. It was unreal. She had just lost three days of her own life... Well, at least she still had her life. Perhaps she'd have to take the "Three days" comment with a grain of salt.

"Uuuuhhhhhhhhhg." Shina groaned. "Drea, I think you owe me a good explanation. Did... Did the archer live through my blow? I didn't..." A horrified expression graced the girl's visage. The simple thought that she might have killed him truly scared her. Murder was the one Sin Shina refused to forgive, even if she was the one who committed it.

"I need a cigarette."

Shina was obviously and noticeably disoriented, but Drea was far too naïve to too excited to notice right away. That is, until her tone seemed more worried then relieved. Here they were, perfectly fine after just escaping death (or well, relatively perfectly fine) and she was more worried about having been asleep for three days!

Or was she...

Drea immediately realized that Shina was a passive person. She didn't want to kill a person, let alone eat a living things. He remembered how baffled she was that she was a vegetarian and didn't eat meat; so it made sense that she was worried that perhaps she had gone against her own morals. Drea's face was serious for a moment out of empathy, before chippering up again, "Don't worry! The Tengu or whatever was very alive. He was so shocked by our last attack that when you whacked em' on the noggin' he fell out for the tree and hit his head again! If he wasn't already knocked out I would've given em' a few thwacks myself, but he was pretty undone by the time I got to him." he said, pausing or a moment, "I did take his bow and arrows. Turns out he only had three left! If we just waited a little longer he would have run out, haha. Crazy huh? But uhh, yes, he was certainly still alive! We got em' good though!" he said, reassuring her as well.

He took a second to look at all of the contraptions and hoists that she had been placed in. He smirked alittle as he exampled the mechanisms, but also thought that it was a bit over kill, "Man, they really did a number on you. I was afraid for abit! Ran all the way through the mountain pass to get you here. You just got shot with an arrow and were alittle banged up but isn't not like you have any broken bones or nothing. The Doc even said that you were healing exceptionally quickly!" he said, "But you weren't handling the pain meds well I think... they had to restrain you because it was giving you bad dreams. You were thrashing about and all that! Even in your dreams you're scrappy! Haha. I love it. Haha, let me go get the Doc and maybe we'll crack you out of this contraption. " Drea looked down at the penguin suit that he had folded up, ready to surprise her with it, only to realize that when he had spit out his beer earlier (in comedic surprise at her past position) he had spit it out all over the suit. His eyes shot open as he recognize what he had done, before shuffling the folded up penguin suit behind his back to hide it, "O-on second thought maybe you should stay a bit longer! Yeah, you just woke up! You were almost completely in shock and they had to do a uhh, what did they call it? Blood transfusion? Anyway! You need your rest girly. So I'll be back okay?"

He smiled and slowly backed out of the room as she (most likely) responded. He slid himself out of the room and down the hall. After all, he couldn't give her a gift that was all messy with his beer spit! He would have to rush off to find something/someone to clean it before he could surprise her with it.

Shina wasn't quite sure if it was relief or another dose of the pain medication flowing into her, but either way it felt nice. The Tengu was alive after all. Gazing silently at her palms, Shina began to wonder what she would have done if they had been stained with the blood of another. Once treaded upon, there was no way back from that path.

Drea continued the conversation for another moment, but then he began acting strangely. The conversation felt like he was trying to avoid something. It was strange. Then, as quickly as he had come in, he left. Drea threw out some lame excuse like letting her heal a bit longer. Leaving the way he did could only leave Shina guessing as to the true purpose behind it. Perhaps he had found what he was looking for, a pirate crew if Shina remembered right, and didn't want to feel responsible for her well-being. Maybe he was afraid he'd get stuck with the hospital bills (not that they mattered since Shina was just going to jump ship on those anyways). Whatever he was afraid of, it sent him packing in a hurry.

"Oh... Bye then. I guess I'll see you later." Said Shina in a low tone. She was alone again. The walls in this hospital ward were particularly bleak and blank. There was nothing fun to look at. No magazines, no news coo papers, there was literally nothing to do. A creeping frustration and boredom began to seep in on Shina. She wasn't tired anymore, even with the pain meds working their wonders. The girl was half tempted to maneuver into her wheelchair again, but was stopped short as a kindly old nurse entered the room wheeling what looked to be a breakfast on it.

"Why hello dear!" Said the woman in a chipper tone. Her voice was raspy but kindly sounding. "I'd hear you were awake and I thought you'd be needing a good snack to get back on your feet. After all, you haven't eaten solid food in three whole days."

The kind gesture seemed to puncture Shina's frothing anger like a fine pointed needle. Her boredom and unhappiness deflated like a balloon. This sweet old woman almost made her want to pay the bills for this hospital stay... Almost.

Something, however, was wrong. When the woman pulled the top of the tin off the plate the only thing remaining there were crumbs! The food was gone.

"Oh no!" Said the old woman.

"Oh no!" Echoed Shina.

"OH YEAH!" Cried a voice two rooms over as a loud crashing noise could be heard.

Shina stared wide-eyed for a moment before breaking the awkward silence.

"So I'm guessing the food wasn't supposed to be gone, huh?"

"Yeah, sorry deary. We've been having trouble dealing with a slippery thief making his rounds in the hospital all day. If you have any valuables on you I'd suggest you keep them well guarded."

"That's awful." Shina said, as she attempted to sit up again.

"Here, let me help you. I'm guessing you want to get out of this bed."

"Yeah, I don't think I'll be walking very well but I'd love to be able to use the wheelchair and take a look around."

"Of course, honey. It's the least I can do after you had your food stolen. There's a cafeteria down the hall a ways. I can take you there if you'd like. Said the nurse as she assisted Shina into the chair.

"Nah, it's okay. I'll find my way on my own." Shina said as she was finally freed of her bedridden stay.

Shina rolled herself out of the room slowly, leaving the nurse behind. The elderly woman began making the bed before a realization hit her. Her wallet was gone! The only explanation was when the thief stole the food he must have stolen her wallet too! Oh what a terrible day this was.

Shina rolled down the hallway sifting through the nurses pocketbook. She pulled out a solid chunk of change, about 300 beli, before discarding the remains in one of the hall-side trashcans. That damned nurse owed her at least that much after flubbing her food away. Besides, with a supposed "Hospital thief" running around, Shina could just about get away with murder if she planned it right.

Billy yawned widely as he awoken on this fresh beautiful crisp morning. The sun was shining and everything was looking up. It had been about five days since he had be admitted into the hospital by that weird old bald man, and he couldn't be any happier. Right on schedule, an elderly nurse came waltzing into Billy's room and preformed her daily routines. Billy was still, according to the doctors, in critical condition. He was completely bed-ridden with his foot attached mid-air to a metal foot holder due to the fact a BEAR TRAP had clenched it. Multiple bruises and burn scars were abundant on his body as well.

The old lady approached Billy and asked kindly, "Well how is my favorite patient doing today dear?. The bald boy moaned a bit and said with a pitiful tone "Not good missus. My foot hurts really really bad, and my stomach is just so hungry. I don't think I'm gunna make it. But I'm gunna try my hardest I promise!" The old lady smiled kindly and said, "That's my boy. But I'm sorry. We're running low on food and medicine. We can hardly afford to give the patients the bare minimum and there not enough for everyone to have extra. I'm so sorry honey. Billy was clearly dismayed but said, "Oh it's ok. I know missus is doing her best.

With that, the lady finished and left Billy's room. The bald boy then burst into laughter. "Ahahaha. Too rich. Too rich. I don't know how much more of this mushy stuff I can take but it never gets old! ahahahaha." While he was snickering he began -his- daily morning routine; Billy used made use of his muscular abs and pulled himself up off the bed to get his hands closer to the hanging metal contraption his foot was in and easily bent it open to pop his foot out. The truth was he was actually practically perfectly healed after the 2nd day of his treatment(the Paddle Pirate Medic worked some wonders), but thanks to falsifying some documents and some good old fashion manipulation, he had a terrific alibi.

The sneaky bald boy made his way around his room until he came across a squeaky floorboard. With one solid tug, the board popped out to reveal a large stash of countless supplies. Food, water, pills, bandages, uniforms, stethoscopes, syringes, towels... practically everything that wasn't nailed to the ground in the hospital. Yes, Billy Willy was the pesky thief of the hospital and was proud of it too. After rummaging through his loot, he found the supplies he'd need for today's job; A prepackaged-cream-filled-pastry, a stethoscope, a nurse uniform, his trusty green backpack, and a very important key he had finally managed to get his hands on yesterday.

Billy slipped into the nurse outfit and placed the stethoscope around his neck. The trick to his disguise was the stethoscope. No one ever questions anyone that has a stethoscope around their neck. Today's job was going to be the largest job yet. The key he managed to get a hold of was one of few keys that led to the most strongly fortified part of the hospital. The strange thing was, that the supply closets weren't even close to being as fortified. Billy had no idea what laid beyond the door, but whatever it was had to be worth guarding.

After peaking through the crack of his door, the boy finally walked out and went directly towards his target. It was a room that held an elderly patient. He was a extremely fat, extremely grumpy old man and highly-highly diabetic as well. Rumor was that he hadn't had sugar in 20 years. In a cheerful nurse voice Billy chirped, " Howdy Mr. James. How are you this fine day?" The man ignored him which was to be expected. After pulling the pastry out of his pocket the "nurse" said "Ok you freaken old geezer. Look at this. Its one-hundred percent certified sugary goodness. I have a feeling you want this. Am I right you fat f*ck?" The old man was flabbergasted, but the nurse was 100% correct. That pastry was the one thing in the entire world that he wanted right now. The old man weakly reached for the desert and said, "Yeah I want it." to which Billy responded, Nah I don't think you do. Are you sure you want it...

"Yeah I want it!
"Nah you don't you"
"Oh yes I do"
"OH NO YOU DON'T!

The man was fed up and yelled "OH YEAH" In a violent swift display of strength, the old man burst from his hospital bed and lunged at the pastry, knocking several things over in the process. The man was now on the ground probably with several broken bones... but at least he was happy because a delicious yellow treat was being rapidly consumed. Right after all of that commotion, Billy darted out of the room as fast as he could. His planned worked perfectly and knew that all of the nursing staff would have to be called to pick up that beefcake off the ground.

At this time a patient in a wheel chair caught his attention. She was the girl that had been asleep for the last three days. He knew this because he had just robbed her room of its food supply the night before. He decided to go greet the girl but noticed something strange. The girl was sifting through a pocketbook and then threw it away in the trash. Billy rushed to the trashcan and fished it out. The boy recognized this pocketbook... he had robbed it at least 3-4 times since he's been in this hospital.

Billy pondered this for a bit before catching up to the girl in the wheel chair. She might be of some use to him after all. "Hey girly. Wait up. We need to talk." Right after saying that, the boy tossed the wallet on the girls lap. "Turn that sh*t upside down. There's a hidden zipper in the bottom seam. That's where she keeps all the good sh*t. The name's Billy Willy. I have a proposition for you ms. quick hands." Billy grinned widely. He didn't know why he was smiling, but he felt that this could be the start of something special.

Shina's attention was quickly drawn by a male nurse. The first thing Shina noticed was his incredulous height. The man was clearly over 6 feet tall. Her second observation was his weight. The bald man was rather thin. Shina almost compared him to a rope. However, his appearance wasn't the thing giving the girl goosebumps. The wallet she had just emptied had been tossed into her lap. Fuck.

...

The look on Shina's face transformed. It shifted from an "Oh Fuck" guilty face into a more puzzled look. Then it dawned on her. This man was the thief in the hospital. Maybe he was upset because she was pinching in on his turf? Maybe he was going to ask her to pay a percent off the top of her earnings as a tax to operate in his area? Only negative thoughts came to Shina's mind. Of course, while thinking all this, she was opening up the secret pouch in the wallet and emptying all of its contents almost as if it was second nature to her.

Finally a thought came to her head. "If your proposition has to deal with me pinching pennies on your turf, let's call it repayment for you stealing my food." Said Shina with a penchant tone as she glanced off to the side. She realized how bad this situation could be for her. She was sitting here with stolen goods in her pockets. If Thief #1 decided to blow the whistle, he could probably have her getting a solid week stay in a local prison. Not to mention she wouldn't be able to get away with skipping out on paying the hospital bills that way either. Shina's thoughts were cut off by a dull pain emanating from her stomach. "Uuhg, can this proposition at least wait until I've eaten? I think you owe me at least that much. I wouldn't even mind discussing this matter over my meal if it comes to that."

Shina knew she'd have to play along for now. Who knows, perhaps this tall scumbag just wanted to offer some advice to an up and coming thief? Naaaah, that seemed a bit too unreasonable. Then again, she had just fought against a man calling himself The Tengu up in the mountains and even met a man made of metal along the way. Stranger things have happened.

Billy was extremely pressed for time. He had exactly 10 minutes to pull off the job but this unexpected confrontation was worth the wasted diversion. And on top of that, she wasn't that bad looking. Billy grabbed a hold of the wheelchair and began pushing it towards his room. "Sure sure you can eat in my office. Sorry about your food too. Here we are, my office; where dreams are made." The boy was widely grinning as he watched the girl. He knew she had to be confused and its all thanks to the stethoscope.

Billy immediately disrobed without any warning and said, "Yeah you might wanna close your eyes" He then proceeded to make himself a "patient" again while explaining himself to the girl. "Well ya see... I came in here about 5 days ago. You'll never guess what happened... a f*cken bear-trap in the woods. Almost snapped my foot off. Anyways first 2 days in here I spent just watchin' and studying everything..." At this point Billy had already re-applied the bandages on his body and was beginning to bend the metal brace thing (that was in the air above his bed) back around his leg. ... Oh yeah crack the door open a bit and make it look like you just came rollin' in. Smile good or you'll regret it.

Just then a frantic looking nurse just came in. She smiled a bit even though she was in a hurry to get back to Mr James who was still on the floor. "Hello Billy, time for you meds. Oh look you made a friend." Billy's personality completely shifted back to his pitiful "in pain" persona "Thanks so much misus. This girl and you are a blessing. Its really helping me get through this *sniff* painful experience. The nurse paused and smiled Awww honey. We'll I have to go now. You two place nice."

As the elderly nurse left left, the boy sighed. He was tired of putting on a happy face and getting back into his bed every 15 minutes. He bent the metal to release his leg again and stood up with a laugh "Ahahaha. Its so funny to watch weaklings fall for my disguise. Anyways, since you're gunna be my partner for a big upcoming job... help yourself to my-- our stash Billy peeled back the squeaky floorboard to reveal to the girl his stash which held practically everything of value from the hospital. He himself took a handful of cookies and began munching on them.

" Well as ya can see. After the second day I decided to get a little wild. I've managed to force my way into every part of this building except one. A fortified door hidden behind a bookcase in the head doctor's office. Not even I can dent it. Yesterday on a stroke of luck I managed to get my hands on a key. I was was gunna finally take a look inside due to a lucky "accident" with Mr-Fat-Ass-James, but you happened to catch my attention. So you aren't gunna make me regret this are you? You're gunna be happy to help me get in there right? Billy ended his speech with a face full of cookie crumbs and a devilish smile. He knew this job couldn't be done alone and this girl was going to help him get whatever valuable object was behind that door no matter what.

The man spoke of his office. He was wearing a nurses uniform, so him having an office made sense. What didn't make sense was why he had grabbed Shina's wheelchair and began rolling it against her will. Immediately Shina grabbed both wheels with her hands in an attempt to stop this only to be forced into retracting her limbs due to the intense force opposing her. Just how fucking strong was this man?

A slow creeping feeling began to overtake the chair-bound girl. That feeling began to solidify when the "office" turned out to be a bedroom. Shina's eyes shot wide.

Oh. My. God.

The only thought going through the girl's mind was escape. She turned her head to look around the room only to get an eyeful of everything she didn't want to see. The man was stripping himself down.

She tried to scream but no sounds escaped her. She began rocking side to side in the chair, expecting him to grab hold of her and then begin doing terrible things... But that moment never came. Instead the man donned on the garb of a patient and jumped into the bed in the room. He did so at just the right time too. The elderly nurse walked into the room and held a conversation with "Billy". Shina took note of his name. Looking to the nurse, Shina forced a clearly fake smile.

After the brief encounter of the weird kind, Shina wasn't entirely certain she wanted anything to do with this asshole. Only assholes talk with their mouths open, and it was really irking her. Not only that, he failed to give her any of the damn food! Shina didn't care about the thievery, but at this point in time she was more hungry than she was greedy!

Giving him a stale look, Shina shook her head. "I'm not helping you with anything until you give me some of that food. I'm kind of bound to this chair for now so I can't exactly grab it myself." Said Shina in an arrogant tone. "But, were I to accept your offer how would we be splitting the lucky pot behind this door anyhow? I'm not cool with anything less than 50%."

Shina didn't care that she had spoiled his plans already, this man had spoiled her breakfast and managed to somehow misconstrue his true intentions in the worst possible way. First impressions were important and so far Billy hadn't left a very good one. That tall jerk better be handing over some of his snakies.

After he finished his long winded speech, his impulsiveness caused him to ignore one crucial detail that was extremely important. The detail was right in front of his face yet he only realized it when the girl pointed it out herself. She was in a wheelchair, and people in wheelchairs can't walk. Billy thought to himself after a brief sigh, "I'm such a freaken idiot... Well I know what must be done." The boy continued to listen to the girl as he walked over to the hidden stash to grab a large handful of supplies. He noted the girl's slight unwillingness to help along with a bit of attitude. That was kinda hot.

Anyhow, with a large cheerful smile, Billy approached the girl with a handful of foods along with some medicine. "We'll little girl, we got some yellow cream pastry things, some chips, some jerky, some f*cken carrots, and the cookies and ham sandwich I stole from your room. Extremely sorry about that. Also take your pick of these pill bottles. No clue what they do but you're in here for a reason and the faster you heal the better" After setting all of that on a nearby table, Billy walked around the room a bit before sitting on the bed. He was formulating a plan of attack in his head. He could easily perform this with her in the wheelchair, but if only she could walk...

Billy shook his head a bit before realizing another grave mistake. He had come on a bit strong. Most people don't like that sort of thing and she probably didn't either. With a slight apologetic tone Billy said "Fifty-percent? Sure! Take as much as you think you deserve. Also, sorry about the sudden introduction like that. I shouldn't have forced you into this... or disrobed in front of such a pretty girl as yourself. If it makes you feel better you could even have sixty-percent of the loot as a show of generosity. Billy grinned evilly on the inside but portrayed a happy apologetic face on the outside. He was even a bit teary eyed to really portray his "genuine" regret. The truth was that he didn't feel sorry in the slightest and thought it was hilarious she saw him naked. Also the part about sharing the findings 40-60... in the end Billy knew it would be more like 100-0. He wasn't too keen on sharing.

The boy relaxed on the bed and said " We'll we don't have to rush this thing. Out of curiosity, what put ya in here?" Billy could care less but knew most girls like boys who show interest in their life, and he would do anything in his power to artificially acquire her trust.

"Uuuhg, why were they bringing me a ham sandwich? They know I'm a vegetarian." Said Shina as she grabbed some of the cookies and the cream pastry. "I'm almost glad you stole it now." Her voice was poignant with an air of frustration. Nothing seemed to be going right for Shina lately.

Billy then began changing up his tune. He sang songs of apologies and a 60% cut for Shina. Now, and only now, was he speaking her language. This could be her chance to really turn this rotten luck around. With whatever loot the pair pulled she could probably buy a new penguin suit right off the bat, and maybe even get a bear suit too! But, another option was opening itself up in front of Shina. This jerk, Billy, had led her on an emotional roller coaster in a span of mere minutes. His apology was not accepted.

Her plan was simple. She'd simply steal from the unsuspecting silly Billy when his back was turned and make her getaway with 100% of the loot rather than 60%. Perhaps she could even incriminate Billy at the same time so the bastard wouldn't come looking for revenge? Yeah, that would work. She'd need to put this guy behind bars in her place.

Snapping back to reality, Shina wiped the villainous look from her face. "Some bandit-hunter shot me through with an arrow up in the mountains near Candor Pass. He called himself The Tengu. I did manage to get a good noggin' buster on him though for all my trouble. I don't know if he's still up there or if they took him into custody, but I sure hope it's the latter." Said Shina in reply to Billy's question.

"What put you in here originally?" Shina asked, putting extra emphasis on the fact that she was changing the subject to Billy himself.

Billy listened very astutely to everything the girl said. He knew the best way to dupe an adversary would be to learn the adversary. He grinned a bit inside as he heard the girl say that she was a vegetarian. Billy Willy thought, "Heheh. A weakness. Maybe even exploitable but It won't be enough." Before the boy even came up with a plan to get behind the door, he was already thinking of ways to arrange all the loot for himself. Billy is a greedy son of a gun.

Billy cracked the door to peak outside. At this point the fat Mr. James had been returned back to his hospital bed and all of the craziness that the staff had experienced died down and everything was back on track. Billy sighed a bit inside as he still sort of regretted his decision. One man jobs are a lot less work in the sense that you don't have to think up a plan to rob your partner afterwards. A simple gunshot could do the trick but that wasn't Billy's style. A dead person can't earn anymore money for Billy to rob. That was his motto.

Shina then said, "Some bandit-hunter shot me through with an arrow up in the mountains near Candor Pass. He called himself The Tengu. I did manage to get a good noggin' buster on him though for all my trouble. I don't know if he's still up there or if they took him into custody, but I sure hope it's the latter.".... As Billy heard this, he was quite shocked. The bandit-hunter called The Tengu shot her, while the bandit-leader The Crow shot at us. Could they have been injured near the same location?

Billy closed his mouth after realizing that he had been in awe and began to share his experience in the mountains. "Well I was in the mountains just minding my business with a friend. This friend of mind is freaken huge, at least 8 feet tall. I was actually supposed to meet him about 4 days ago but I got sidetracked with this gig. Anyhow, we were just walkin'... and fwooooooshh a pitch black arrow went right past-- *FWOOOOOSH* All of a sudden a black arrow whizzed through the crack in the door and right past Billy's head almost clipping his ear once again before embedding itself into the wall. "Yeah kinda like... that... OH SH*T"

The shot was actually a warning shot that was shot by one of the bandits who had just decided to invade. It wasn't aimed at anything in particular. Billy closed the door immediately after he heard a very rememberable voice. "It is I; the great leader of the bandits; "THE CROW". Now my fledglings, swarm out and recover that which was stolen from me. Billy whispered to the girl, "Holy sh*t its this crazy guy I was about to tell you about. Just attacked me in the mountains. I threw a cow at him but I guess I missed. Get out of the way" Billy forcefully pushed the wheelchair out of the way of the door and began to go to work.

The hospital bed wasn't on any wheels, but fortunately wasn't nailed down to the ground. After forcing himself and pushing his strength to the limits, he was able to move the heavy iron bed to place it in front of the only entrance to the room. To be honest, Billy wasn't really scared at this event, but he wanted the girl to think he was just to she how she would react. You can learn a lot about someone from situations like this. "Oh sh*t oh sh*t what do we do? Are we gunna die? What are they here for? They are gunna kill us all. What should we do!? Billy grinned inside as he awaited Shina's plan.

Pillars shot forth from the ground, hulking masses of leaves and bark. The forest seemed to materialize from nothing as a shadowed figure passed by in the distance. There was a flash of light and an arrow zipped by her head, cutting a few strands of her hair in flight. She could hear his heavy voice reverberating through the air again. Shina began to hyperventilate for a moment as she waved off the passing illusion. They were under attack.

Everything snapped back into place as Billy informed her about his own attacker. It seemed The Tengu had good reason to be hunting the bandits. The real question, however, was in whether he had copied their modus of attack or if they had imitated his. Archers. Shina was beginning to hate ranged foes. Billy quickly pushed her out of the doorway and closed it. The knocking sound of arrows striking the opposite side resounded throughout the room. What a mess.

Then, everything became truly strange when Billy turned to Shina for advice on the matter at hand. Having broken her brief shell shock, the girl folded her hands and regained her composure with a series of short but deep breaths. Her erratic thoughts slowly gathered and her mind eased itself.

"They are looking for something." Said Shina as she replayed The Crow's words through her head. "What could they be looking for, though? If we solve that riddle we can get out of this with our skins attached... Wait you threw a cow at him?! Why would you do that to a poor cow!"

Billy and Shina were securely locked in the small hospital room. All the room of the hospital were quite strange. They were quite small but had very high ceilings, close to 12 feet high. On the wall that was opposite to the door, there was a small window pretty high up on the wall, along with a skylight that let the sun in from above. There were two ways to escape the room but both seemed highly unlikely. First off the window was too small for someone to pass through, even Billy Willy. The skylight was also impossible to use because 12 feet was just too high. But to be honest, Billy didn't really want to escape. This was actually convenient for him.

After listening to what Shina had told him, it all seemed to fit together like a jig-saw puzzle. The boy then thought "I've been everywhere in this place and there was noting worth causing a ruckus for... Except for that mystery room. Whatever is in there HAS to be what The Crow is looking for" It all seemed clear to him now, and it only made his desire for whatever was inside the room even greater.

All of sudden the lights in the hospital went out and all that was left was the dim daylight from the window/skylight. A red light began to flash throughout the facility along with a loud alarm sound. Through a intercom mechanism (which seemed out of place in this "low budget" seeming hospital) a distinctive elderly voice said "This is a code black. All personnel to their positions. I repeat code black." It was the old lady nurse who was speaking. Dozens of questions began to pour into Billy's mind, but he then heard the sound of shuffling boots and talking outside his door

"Mask on Ensign Lopez."
"Sir I lost my mask sir"
"For f*cks sake Lopez. We are under siege. *sigh* Take the spare. Prepare to scrub the latrines after this Lopez.
"Yes sir Lieutenant Zando"

Hundreds of more questions came to mind after this little conversation. Billy turned to Shina and said "Ensign Lopez, Lieutenant Zando.... You mean that dumb nurse Lopez and the strict doctor Zando... What the f*ck?! What the hell is this place." The boy began to reminiscence about the gas mask he had "found" the other day. He felt that it was odd that such a thing was in this place, but now he understood why he found it. This place was a secret marine headquarters!

Cling-clang-clunk. The sound of canisters dropping rang throughout the hospital and soon the ssssssss sound of something coming out of it. Billy was in awe as he saw a strange substance pouring into the room from underneath. It was a bright yellow gas. Without even thinking, the boy ran to his hidden stash and sifted through it until he found the mask he had stolen. For some odd reason.. he didn't put on the mask. His muscle seemed to force him to toss the mask behind him, directly to the woman he had planned to betray in the end. Why was he doing this? He did not know. Was it to simply manipulate her later on to ensure his success in tricking her. Maybe... but there was something else in play for sure and he wasn't quite sure what it was.

The smoke was quickly filling the room and there wasn't much time left. Billy was starting to feel the effect of the gas and knew there was one last thing he do before he either died, or fell asleep. The brave boy took a firm stance on the ground before focusing intently on the ceiling and the wall with the window. With two big grunts, Billy punched his hardest twice. He punched in such a way that the air around was focused into a blast that traveled in the direction he punch. The first gust of air shattered the skylight above, while the second gust of air shattered the tiny window on the wall. After seeing that he accomplished his goals, Billy fell to the ground completely unconscious with a smile.

"What the f*ck... is wrong... with me...?" He blacked out. Billy wasn't talking about how the gas was affecting him... he was talking about his heroic actions. This was all just extremely out of character from his normal nasty habits and just plain wrong(in his eyes at least).

The scene almost felt like a dream. The sounds of boots hitting the floor and guns clinking replaced the silence that had been here before. Shina could overhear everything Billy could, and she realized the situation at about the same time he did. This was a marine base. It made no sense considering the marines weren't supposed to have any interaction with Hitsuji and it's many islands dotting the map. Then the gas began pouring into the room.

Shina could tell right away the gas was meant for knocking out the patients in order to keep them from getting in the way and prevent some collateral damage on a human scale. It was highly doubtful anyone would be malicious enough to use a lethal gas, or rich enough for that matter, inside an entire hospital. But, there was no point in taking that risk. Billy, it seemed, was prepared for this as he lobbed a gasmask to Shina. With a quick motion the girl put it over her face and it obscured her vision slightly.

It was hard to breath in a gas mask. It surprised Shina at first just how difficult it really was. How come those famous actors on the DenDenMotionpictures always made this shit look easy? Anyways, this strategy the marines were employing was still rather dumb. What if some of the patients had an allergic reaction to the knockout gas? Would they just be considered "acceptable losses" or would the marines check into each room to make certain nobody was hurt?

One thing was damn certain, Shina did not want to be stuck in a room with this weirdo who, for no reason at all, smashed out the windows. It wasn't like Shina could climb out them with her leg in a cast anyways! Some people were just incredibly dense, but, Shina supposed, this tall jerk might have at least one nice bone in his body because he did give up his only gas mask to her. Maybe Shina would share the loot with him afterwards.

One thing was certain though, Shina was now waaaaaaaaaaay more curious to find out what was behind that locked door.

It took quite a bit of effort to set it up. Dragging Billy's body while in a wheelchair, no matter how light he actually was, was still quite a chore. She leaned Billy up against the door in a way that he'd fall out on top of whoever opened it. With a quick motion she pulled her chair up next to him, but just off to the side so nobody would be able to spot her until they stepped inside the room. Then, with a smile on her face, Shina began hammering on the door right next to the unconscious Billy while making loud coughing noises.

It seemed her mediocre plan was rather successful. The marines couldn't just leave the people in the rooms to die if they were having an allergic reaction and the door quickly unlocked and opened up. Billy's slack body fell immediately onto the man opening the door who, with a quick glance, surmised billy was the only occupant in the room due to Shina hiding herself. The man dragged Billy's body back a few feet into the open expanse of the hallway and pulled out a needle of some kind and jammed it into the boy, hoping to neutralize the gas in his body.
