After Natalie revealed that she didn't really have a plan, Tessa sort of zoned out. The sudden breeze that kicked up dried her clothes somewhat, but it didn't last terribly long. She attempted to reflect upon something, but she couldn't think of anything to reflect on. Irritated by that, she plopped down ungracefully on the rock next to her belongings. She pulled her boots back on as Natalie spoke up again.

"Nah, don't worry about it, it was on its last legs anyway," Tessa didn't mind traveling with a such a stylish and strong person, but the girl seemed hesitant. Tessa appreciated Natalie's sincerity, so she walked up and patted the girl on the back softly. The cheerful smile on her face trying to keep the atmosphere positive. "Don't worry, should save that for when we get off this rock."

Tessa attempted to dry herself a bit more before returning the towel to her bag. After putting the towel back and her vest back on, Tessa grabbed a brush from her bag, and set to work on her hair as she reclined on the rock once more. She hummed tunelessly as she combed, and since she lacked anything else to do, she spoke up again. She didn't really know anything about Natalie, so she started with a basic question.

"So... Where are you from? I'm from the Grand Line, personally," Tessa was really grasping here, but what was she to do? The atmosphere had grown muggy again, and the noises that had disappeared after the theropod attacked had come back. A chill went up her spine, which was strange in the atmosphere. She looked around, but didn't see anything of note. Since she was done combing, she put the brush back in her bag, and pulled her hair into a ponytail and bound it with the hairtie.

"Save what, sincerity?" Natalie was a little a confused, but it probably didn't matter. Tessa was just trying to be motivating, so for now Natalie could ignore the sort of convoluted conversation. Instead she found herself staring at the wonderful specimen of human beauty that was Tessa. Some people were just naturally pretty, and Tess just happened to be one of those types. Y'know, regardless of the fact that she was so damn tall. In fact, she was comparatively massive next to Natalie's teenage height; Natalie made a mental note not to let the other girl compare their stature. Finally Tess stopped obsessing over her appearance and asked Natalie a kind of obvious question, but it was better than the awkward silence.

Natalie had smiled fondly while responding to Tessa's question. "I'm from Beirut Sunset, but you wouldn't know it because of my hair." Or rather, it was possible most people hadn't heard of the island in the first place. But that didn't cross Natalie's mind; she kind of assumed everyone knew about her foster home of origin. At that mention her hands subconsciously went to her hair and felt around it, as if an invisible afro stood atop the girl's head. Nope, no funky 'do here. Just beautiful wavy orange lockes. Natalie absently stared out at the water again, still with a smirk. She had been homesick a few times in the past year, but this was one of those times that really made you remember the better times. This and being swallowed by a sea king.

*blub blub*

Suddenly, another strange movement caused a few ripples in the water, this time accompanied with some bubbles as well. It wasn't from the middle of the lake either, but much closer to the shore. It was floating towards the shore where Natalie still dangled her feet in the water, but now she reflexively pulled them out and stood back a foot or two. It seemed to be a log, or at least the bark from a log. The object moved very slowly despite the fact that there was no discernible current. After at least thirty seconds of this it was close enough to really see, but it still just looked like half a log with some odd twigs on it. "Still, how's it moving?" Finally it bumped into the bank of the lake and stopped there. Natalie tentatively put one foot forward and tapped it, and was quite surprised when it showed no signs of moving.

"Huh.." A light snort came from the thing, rather suddenly. This caused Natalie to jump back in alarm, which caused the thing to finally realize it's prey was done playing in the water. It rose from the lake, it's body a dark muddy color. It had a very familiar long snout and seemed to be of the spiney family of dinosaur, as previously encountered on the beachfront by Tessa and Natalie. However, this new guy seemed to be significantly smaller, at least half the size of the first one. That being said, this new threat was sort of gigantic anyway, meaning either the midgets were still scary or the giants were just aggressive and nightmarish. Either way, it didn't make Natalie too happy to see another one of these spinosaurus things. Rather than roar it just opened it's mouth like an angry alligator and hissed, though the hiss was way more menacing than some small alligator's. It's jaws snapped as if in warning, and less than a second later it was already lunging toward the mostly-dry teenage girl in front of it, razor-sharp teeth bared and ready to snack.

Tessa didn't recognize the name of Natalie's home island, nor what she meant by the spherical gesture about Natalie's head. But that wasn't strange, since Tessa hadn't really left her own island till now. She had heard reports of other islands and stories, but not anything concerning Beirut Sunset. Certainly, there were probably numerous islands she hadn't heard of. She had rather hoped that Natalie had been from the Blues, since Tessa was rather curious about them.

"I see. Have you been to the Blues? I've only heard stor-" but she interrupted herself as Natalie drew back from the water. "What is that..?" Tessa got off her rock, picking her hammer up as a precaution. "That looks like a log, but that definitely isn't wood..." She tried to identify it as it hit the bank, but was mystified until Natalie tapped it.

The sudden snort that caused Natalie to jump also caused Tessa to jump. Tessa recognized it, since its big brother had destroyed her boat. "Oh, that definitely isn't wood!" she remarked in an exasperated tone. The thing was still massive, but it's height was somewhat diminished since it was still in the water. It didn't give Tessa much time to examine it, since it lunged after Natalie not a moment alter.

Tessa responded with a yell, and planted her hammer into the beast's neck, and then again, and again. Tessa unleashed a barrage of hammer strikes to it's scaly neck. She wasn't too sure how much damage she was doing, but the solid impacts seemed to be doing some damage to the scales. The beast stopped going for Natalie with an angry hiss and turned to Tessa, it's baleful eyes gleaming. It was still half-submerged in the water, so Tessa retreated out of range of the dagger-like teeth. Hopefully Natalie would do the same.

"Ooooh nononono-" Natalie had brought her fists up in preparation to defend herself against the scaly jaws of the submerged dino, but Tessa was quicker to react. Honestly Natalie should've reacted sooner, but she didn't know it wasn't a log. Even as Tessa had exclaimed as much, Natalie had still had no idea what it was. Anyways, Tess had averted a very possible crisis, one on par with being eaten alive. "I'll be sure to thank her in a moment."

"But for now.." Natalie stood up straight and her surprise had turned to anger, and was aptly reflected on her face with her trademark scowl. Well, it was more of a pout, but whatever. Dinosaurs didn't have facial expressions anyway. Tessa finished her flurry of hammer strikes and had backed off to a more safe distance, but Natalie was not so inclined. Rather than let the beast come up out of the water, she would just send it back under. She jumped forward and raised both arms above her head and interlocked her fingers, making a big two-handed fist. Then she moved to the side of the large maw and jumped up slightly, bringing her fists down with all her might. The thing reeled, or at least it would have if it's face hadn't been smashed right into the dirt.

"Nowhere near as scary as the other one." Of course, it was likely that the spinosaurus had just been caught off guard since it was so preoccupied with the person hammering it a question. Still, Natalie's strength had surprised the thing, and once it brought it's face off the dirt and had taken a step back it gave an intimidating roar. Bringing it's head out of the water it apparently started standing up, water showering off it's back as it's great bulk left the water. It was a pretty amazing sight to behold, but it was still nowhere near as scary as it's larger counterpart. Now standing at it's full height it tried once more to attack the pair, now bringing it's gaping jaws down towards Natalie. This time she was better prepared though, and before impact she put her hands forward and planted herself. The creature's upper jaw was caught by the young girl, and she was straining with all her might to keep it's strength in check with her own.

"Tess, now..smash it's stupid face in!" It was more of a grunt, but the orders were clear. While Natalie kept this guy's face at eye level, Tessa would bash it's skull in. A pretty standard dino-fighting tactic, if you ask me.

Unfortunately, Natalie did not retreat from the beast, and instead raised her hands like a human sledge hammer and drove the beast's head to the ground. Impressed, but still rather worried, Tessa ran back up to assist Natalie. She backed up as it stepped from the water, rising to its full height.

He went for Natalie again, but she seemed ready for it, and grasped its upper jaw. Impressed as she was, she promptly acted as Natalie called for aid, "Ah! Yeah!" She sprang back with her hammer raised high. It remained aloft for a moment before crashing down into the monster's skull. It jolted violently at the impact, and she delivered another smash to it's skull. This time the beast fell with a splash, the back half of its body landing back into the lake. Whether it was unconscious or dead, Tessa had no idea.

"Should I hit it again?" Tessa asked Natalie with a worried look, "I'd hate to have him wake up, but it seems a bit cruel." The beast was probably hungry, and Tessa and Natalie probably just looked like tasty snacks. Though, Tessa didn't really like the idea of being turned into a snack, so her interests conflicted with the theropod's. Regardless, it was out for now, and the likely wouldn't have trouble putting it down again.

Tessa moved back to the rock, which had been splashed a bit when the beast fell. She retrieved her bags, and turned back to Natalie, "We need to get a move on. I don't want to be here when that thing wakes up, and to be honest I'm growing tired of this island," Tessa paused for a moment, and looking in the direction they first came from. "We should probably get to that ship of yours, hopefully this guys big brother doesn't show up," Tessa was a bit worried, "Or, we can stay here and swim, if you'd like," but it didn't stop her from joking around.

Normally this would be a pretty frantic situation, but Natalie had matched the dinosaur's strength pretty well. Tessa was quick to react, and only seconds later the creature was laid out. Natalie felt the weight of the creature's head even more as it was bashed on the skull, and with a relieved sigh she let it drop to the embankment. The thing showed no signs of getting back up, and Natalie couldn't even hear it breathing, but she was pretty sure it wasn't dead. It was unlikely the thing's skull was cracked or it's brain ruined or anything.

"Yeah, he's probably just enjoying a nap." Honestly, Natalie wouldn't have felt bad if it was dead, considering it had just been trying to eat her whole. Well, or perhaps biting her into many pieces. Anyway, at this point in time Natalie was extremely glad to be in the company of an able-bodied person. If she were in the 'Neighborhood Watch' right now she would've been surrounded by a bunch of apathetic, vain, worthless people, respectively. "Do sort of miss Cyrus and Mary though.." Natalie was about to start daydreaming and remembering and all that, but Tessa's warning kept anything silly like that from happening. Just kidding, Tess made a joke about staying here, so silliness was perpetrated.

"No, definitely not. Let's leave this place." But, in which direction? Natalie at least knew to go in an opposite direction of the lake, but that didn't mean she would end up at her boat. At the least it would take them to Natalie's boat, so for now that direction would have to suffice. Natalie looked to the monster once more, then to her hands. They had been dirtied and bloodied a bit when stopping the lunging dinosaur mouth, so she went to the water and washed them. It only took her a moment, and when she brought her hands back from the water she could clearly see a number of small cuts on her palms. Probably from the theropod's tough scales. They stung a bit, but she could at least ignore them until she found her way to the boat. She finally turned back to Tess and nodded in the direction she thought they might take.

"Even if it doesn't take us to the boat, we can at least make the coastline. It's as good a landmark as we'll get." She began trudging off towards the trees, not relishing at all the humidity and bushes and snakes and general shittiness of the forest. Hopefully they'd be off this island soon.

After Natalie's swift response, Tessa stood about, inspecting the unconscious beast as Natalie seemingly thought about their next move. No matter which angle you looked at the thing, it was massive. Its teeth alone looked strong enough to bite through iron. Its arms were fairly short, but they still looked... very deadly. The monster's scales seemed quite impervious to damage.

Even so, Tessa had done a little bit of damage where her hammer hit it, even if only in the shape of scrapes and dents. Since Tessa knew the strength of her blows, she was rather distressed at the thought that this thing would've been much harder to take down if it hadn't had improper footing. More difficult still if Natalie hadn't been there to hold the thing down.

Tessa's eyes went back to Natalie, who was washing her hands. When she finished, she nodded towards the woods. "Sounds like a plan," Tessa plainly agreed with the girl. "Hopefully that fellow's-" she gestured back to the spinosaurus, "-Big brother, won't be hanging around still."

Speaking of the big brother. The one they had put down was terrifying enough, and his brother was simply gargantuan in comparison. The blow that Tessa had done to its toe was more laughable than pitiable. Likely, all it did was piss the thing off. "It probably eats boulders and drinks the blood of virgins for breakfast," Tessa remarked quietly, laughing as she followed Natalie into the trees.

Since they had put down the smaller brother, the quiet that had previously disappeared had come back, now that a predator had shown itself again. Even though it was out for the count, the noises hadn't returned, likely wary of the two girls who had done the deed. Tessa smiled to herself, half glad that they were both alive and half glad that she and the girl had defeated such a colossal creature, at least temporarily.

"Yeah, or eats children and drinks...the blood of children." Natalie had immediately regretted trying to be funny; it just wasn't her strong suit. A bit of redness went to her cheeks and she had a look on her face like she'd just eaten a rotten banana, but luckily she was walking in front of Tessa so the other woman couldn't have known of Natalie's embarrassment. She didn't say anything for awhile, just content to quietly walk along. Natalie wasn't exactly contented though, since she was constantly listening for anything that would be trying to sneak up on or devour her. Or both; there was probably a lot of both on Little Garden. A few minutes went by this way, or it may have been closer to ten minutes. The passage of time seemed off here, as though this island was isolated from the rest of the world. Finally Natalie broke with a sigh.

"So, yeah, about this weather. Pretty hot huh." She finally took this chance to look behind her, and in turn slowed her aggressive walking pace a bit to match Tessa's speed. It wasn't Natalie's usual style, but perhaps walking side by side with a person would be less stressful. "Probably wouldn't be so crappy if we got to enjoy the beach." The small talk felt kind of forced to Natalie, but she kind of figured Tess was good at expanding on a poorly posed point. Or she would have been if Little Garden wasn't such an unlucky place for them. Whether Tess had had time to respond to Natalie's idle chitchat or not, it didn't really matter. Natalie had suddenly become focused on an odd rumbling nearby. And by odd it was more familiar, and by familiar it was, well..

"No freaking way.." In the distance, lumbering through the trees like some scaly giant was the monster that had gotten the two girls lost in the first place. It seemed to be walking with purpose, if dinosaurs had such a thing, like it was looking for something. Or someone. The beast was definitely still stalking prey, though whether it had forgotten about Natalie and Tess was an unknown variable. "Quick, get down!" Natalie had to do her best not to react with a yell, but instead had urged her companion in a hushed but exasperated tone. She ducked down and sidestepped behind one of the many trees nearby, picking one pretty much at random. If they could hide and get past this guy maybe they could find the boat and just leave without further confrontation. Usually Natalie would just fight the thing and be done with it, but she wasn't feeling so confident right now what with having just been fired. So it was settled; Natalie would sneak for now.

"Let's just wait for this guy to pass." Hopefully dinosaurs didn't have great senses of smell.

Tessa smiled as Natalie attempted to make a similar joke to hers, even if the joke itself wasn't quite there, her heart was in the right place. The following minutes of silence were only interrupted by the occasional distant roar. Every rustle of brush, and every shake of a leaf seemed to alert the two, who were on high alert for a multitude of reason. Tessa was about to speak up, but Natalie was one step ahead of her with a heavy sigh.

"Kind of."

After Tessa had gone for a dip, the water somewhat protected her from the muggy atmosphere. It had returned at some point during the alert silence, and once again she was building up a sweat trekking through the jungle. Tessa directed a wry smile to the girl as they began to walk side by side, "Well, as long as we beat up any more beasties that interrupt us, I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to enjoy it."

That was assuming, of course, that the said beasties didn't include the first monster that accosted them. Unfortunately, Tessa's thoughts were interrupted as Natalie urged Tessa down. "What is it?" Tessa responded with a similar note of exasperation. She hadn't been paying much attention, and as the familiar rumble and the familiar giant overgrown lizard came into sight, her lips curved into a frown. Still, she needed to hide, so she followed close behind Natalie.

The tree was big enough for the both of them, even for Tessa it was still rather humongous. However, the sound of breathing and the oppressively humid air made it seem like they were in a much smaller area. Tessa grunted her consent to Natalie's suggestion. She doubted that the thing would discover them, since she literally walked into the cat, and she had been splashing about in the water when they were attacked by the colossus' little brother. So if they approached this with any subtlety they would probably be able to sneak past.

"I'll follow your lead, I guess." Tessa muttered quietly to Natalie. "Though it would probably be a good idea to wait until he moves a good distance away." A good distance wasn't very specific though, since the thing itself covered quite a "good distance" in sheer body size. Even if they moved while it wasn't looking, they'd have to keep an eye out for if it turned around. Moving around in the jungle without paying proper attention to where you're going is a real bad idea, and Tessa isn't what you'd call gifted at navigation.

Honestly, Natalie had intended to wait. Down to her smallest fiber she was certain of her ability to be patient, at least when avoiding a great danger like this. Natalie and her companion sat there, stooped low for at least two minutes while the scaly monster rooted around, bumping into trees and sniffing about like some kind of dog. It's tracking skills weren't so refined, but it could typically chase and kill anything that bothered it so it probably didn't need to track shit. Finally, after what felt like eons (but was still only two minutes) the dino decided to move on, lumbering off in some direction. The thing had been deceived with little to no work on Natalie and Tessa's part, which should have been a good thing. But for some reason the whole hiding like a wuss thing didn't appeal to Natalie now, even though it was definitely the smart idea.

"Yeah, no. It's not going to end like this. I refuse to accept this ending. Not after what this bastard did to your boat." Technically Natalie had wrecked the other girl's boat herself, but she wanted to believe that the words would strike a chord with Tessa. For a second Natalie heard past words of wisdom, echoing around in her head from some memory.

"A hidden dancer is worth more than a flashy one, Natalie. Sometimes a brotha has to hide his funkiness for a while before unleashing some killer moves. You know what I'm sayin'? Play it mellow, and turn em to jello. When the time is right, boogie into a win!" Basically, what her teach had meant was sometimes it's better to attack an opponent when they don't know you're there, than to announce your presence. Natalie had become fairly well versed in assassination techniques, though she had not once used them since practicing them back at home. Typically the youth just fell back on her immense physical strength to obliterate anything or anyone that bothered her, but this time that strategy seemed lacking. It was lacking, mostly because, this massive creature was probably stronger than her. I mean, it was twice the size of the one at the lake, and that thing had been really tough to hold back. So, Natalie concluded that for once she would utilize the skills taught to her. She would sneak up on this guy and take him out before he knew what was hitting him. At least, that was the plan.

"Hey Tess, why don't we just get rid of this guy? I've got a plan if you'd like to hear it." It wasn't so much a plan as a vague strategy, but Natalie felt confident all the same. "I may not seem it, but I know how to be way sneaky. I'm gonna launch a sneak attack on this guy and get rid of him in one attack. I'll probably need your help though." Rather than wait for the other girl to give her consent, Natalie was already standing up and dusting the hem of her brightly-colored dress off. Hopefully dinosaurs were colorblind.

"Well, I think I'm going to do it alone if you won't join me. Not that I wouldn't appreciate the assist.." She said this with an awkward smile and a nervous look in her eyes. Natalie wasn't nervous about fighting a monster that must've been at least 30 meters tall, but moreso at having given a compliment. Natalie wasn't good at giving compliments.

"Anyways, I'm gonna get going. Follow my lead if you like." She started in the direction the beast had gone at a quick walk, then a light jog, though she was obviously trying to run in such a way that she avoided making lots of noise. Granted, it's not like there was much to give her away. As she tried to catch up to the thing, Natalie was desperately trying to think of a way to ohko a dinosaur, because for some reason it only just occurred to her that simply punching it probably wouldn't work. Hey, not all plans are perfect.

"Wait, what..?"

The words of conviction coming from Natalie's mouth seemed improper, since she had been the one to toss Tessa's boat at the monster in the first place. A doubtful expression crossed Tessa's face once Natalie spoke about taking down the monster.

"Normally I'd be the first to attack something enormous, but usually not things with fangs and claws larger than I am..." Tessa wasn't about to back down though, "I'll still help, though!"

As Natalie took off, Tessa followed behind her. The only thing bothering Tessa was the fact that Natalie hadn't actually proposed a plan yet.

"Hey, uh-" Tessa was watching the monster in the distance, "What's the plan? Are we gonna hit it with a tree or something?"

It was a pretty silly idea, especially since the majority of the trees were so massive it was preposterous to try and use one as a weapon.

"We don't really have anything that can be considered a weapon against that thing," Tessa hefted her hammer pointedly, "This thing barely dented his scales, and you don't seem to be hiding any cannons under that dress."

Well, at least Tessa hoped there weren't any cannons under her dress.

"No, certainly no cannons.." In a way she felt like this was an insult to her unsubstantial bust, but Natalie knew that Tessa wasn't trying to insult her. It was just sort of a double meaning kind of thing. Totally an accident. "Mmm..." She still felt it necessary to give a dissatisfied groan. She trudged along, still trying to do so quietly, however that was possible. She brought her arms together and crossed them across her chest, trying to think. But, the answer was sort of right in front of her. Or rather, all around her.

"Wait..did you say hit it with a tree? That's..that's actually sort of genius. Yeah..I think that could work." She picked up her pace a bit, trying to keep up with the scaly tyrant as it lumbered through the forest. Despite it going at a walk it managed to smash through small plants and scrape up tree trunks. "Removing this guy is probably a service to the island." Maybe not to the ecosystem, but hey, at least if other people get shipwrecked in the future they won't get gobbled up. It was a few minutes of walking and sneaking, and at one point Natalie had thought the thing would turn around and see them, but they were either really lucky or really sneaky; or just a bit of both.

"Anyways, I think..well, I can probably find a smallish tree to whack him with. I'll just need a moment to uproot it, so like, if you distract him, I could probably club him out cold. Maybe. Probably.." Natalie wasn't too certain about the whole thing, seeing as how lifting a bigass jungle tree seemed kind of impossible for normal human beings. But, I mean, Natalie knew she wasn't exactly average. Far from it, in fact. If this were a video game and she had stats, her highest was likely physical strength, followed by fashion sense. Because fashion sense is definitely a measurable statistic.

"Alright, we're close enough I think. You ready?" Natalie sounded a bit uncertain, and with good aforementioned reason, but she was also quite ready to take this chance. They were maybe fifty feet from the dino now and in a fairly thin patch of trees, and if they didn't act quick he would probably notice them. With that thought in mind Natalie found what she thought would be a lift able tree and got into place next to it, signaling Tessa to 'go for it'. Then she wrapped her arms around the tree and started pulling..

Tessa had a hard time following Natalie, "Nononono, that was a joke, a joke!" her hands were held out and waving in an excited jazzy manner. "There's no way you can lift-" Natalie wasn't paying attention, and had already volunteered Tessa to distract the thing while she grabbed a tree. Which Tessa merely responded to with a distinctly hesitant expression.

"The first time was close enough, and now I have to..? Ugh," they were fairly close to it now, and Natalie had already located a smaller tree which to uproot. Her enthusiastic gesture for Tessa to go distract the monster left Tessa feeling really irritated. "She owes me a lot for this, especially if it doesn't work."

All she had was her hammer, and there weren't any rocks about for her to throw. Tessa moved further down into the forest so that the dino wouldn't immediately see Natalie when Tessa aggroed it. She still hadn't decided whether to run up and hit it or yell at it. The former would certainly distract it, but the latter was quite a bit safer.

At the moment, it was facing in the opposite direction of Tessa and Natalie. With a nervous battlecry Tessa charged the thing, and managed to cover the distance before it could turn. Rather than attack its toes, she aimed a heavy strike at what would be its heel, more or less. It actually seemed to work, as the thing stumbled and fell heavily onto the leg (right leg) that Tessa struck.

The unfathomable mass of scales and flesh was descending rapidly, Tessa barely managed to roll out from beneath the thing before she got squished. As she stood up again, the thing was attempting to right itself. It was then Tessa realized where the safest place to be was. Before it could right itself fully, Tessa ran towards the thing, kicking off the bent leg and using the momentum to carry herself onto its back.

"Okay. What now?!" she was positioned next to the thing's massive sail, somewhere on top of its ribcage. The thing could likely shake her off, if it even knew she was up there, that is. Rather than take that bet, she quickly ran along its rough scales up to its massively broad neck. To entrench herself, she plopped down into a position where she could hang onto its neck if it tried to shake her off. It didn't really work, since the thing's neck was much too wide to effectively straddle, but it was better than being on its back.

The thing seemed to feel her on its neck, but it didn't seem to realize that it was her. In a rather confused manner, it searched about the area, turning its head this way and that, attempting to find his small assailant. Unable to see her, he roared.

To say the sound was ear-shattering would be accurate. Tessa only managed to somewhat block her ears while gripping onto its neck with her thighs. As its head, and consequently neck, moved about, the rough scales scraped at her skin. She roared at the thing herself; she could feel that she was yelling, but all she could hear was ringing.

The beast, in response, turned about more, confused why the noise was coming from so close and so high behind him. Greeted by nothing but the island, he was positively irritated.

Natalie glanced around the girth of the tree and watched Tessa's mad charge, a bit surprised by the whole thing. Natalie felt a surge of admiration for the other woman's courage, especially when she point blank hammered the guy a question. It was even cooler when she rolled away to safety; the whole attack made Tessa look like a seasoned monster fighter. Granted, Natalie was pretty sure that wasn't Tessa's actual area of expertise. After all that she managed to climb up and mount the dude like a gymnast mounting the wooden horse. Or, a real horse. A horse covered in spines and teeth and claws?

"Anyway, it's time I get started too." Natalie turned back to the task at hand, or in hand, and glared the tree down. She arched her back slightly and got down into a squat before straightening her back again, then gripped the tree with each hand. It wasn't so big that she couldn't wrap her arms around it completely, so hopefully it wouldn't be immovable. After a few seconds of preparation Natalie began to lift, pushing against the ground with all her might. At first it seemed nothing was happening, so Natalie stopped a moment and readjusted her arms a little. Then she tried again, because she didn't really have a contingency plan. With a bit of a grunt Natalie pulled up with all her strength, still feeling no noticeable change in the tree's footing. But she kept going, straining every muscle she had to uproot this stupid jungle tree.

"C'mon you son of a bitch.." She could hear the dinosaur rompin' around nearby, desperately trying to find his invisible attacker, but he was entirely at a loss. That gave Natalie the time she needed, and after about twenty seconds of what seemed like gainless pulling, Natalie finally felt the tree giving way. It groaned and the dirt beneath it crackled, probably from the smaller of it's roots snapping. "Just..a little more.." Natalie stood up finally, pulling the weaponized tree from the ground in a great shower of dirt. The monster would have likely noticed, if not for the screaming woman on his back. Natalie managed to heft the thing between her arms, trying to balance herself. The weight was not an issue, but the height certainly made the tree more than a bit unwieldy. She stumbled forward and managed to keep the tree aloft, now starting into a run towards the dinosaur.

"Grrraaaaaaah!" With her own colorful battle cry she closed in on her target and swung the tree downward with all her strength, bringing it crashing down onto the back of the black-scaled beast. Under the weight (and with Natalie's raw power) the thing stumbled and fell, it's sail now smashed and broken. It let out an angry roar as it tumbled to the grounded, and Natalie failed to see if it had thrown Tessa off or now. Then she brought the tree to bare once more, looking up to take stock of her weapon's durability. It was slightly cracked near the top, and it wasn't entirely straight anymore, but it still had a use left in it. She looked to the squirming dinosaur now, deciding whether to hit it again or to wait and make sure Tessa was clear.

Tessa stopped shouting when the confused monster turned suddenly. A tree was moving rapidly toward Tessa and the monster.Tessa spotted the fiery haired girl carrying it, defying gravity with a gaping mouth, presumably roaring. The dino seemed rather confused, likely not seeing the girl carrying it, and didn't really react until the tree smashed its spine.

Unfortunately, Tessa was still on it, her mouth formed the words, "Oh fu-," but the ringing had yet to subside enough in order to hear the profanity. So she pushed off the things neck, and jumped off. An over sized fern broke her fall, and luckily nothing else. After picking herself up out of the fern, the beast was writhing on the ground.

Natalie had yet to capitalize on the downed beast, so Tessa rushed up in the mean time, another battle cry on her lips. Her hammer raised, she delivered a smash to the base of the theropod's skull. It responded much more than when Tessa hit it previously. She struck again, the scales of its neck started to buckle. Another strike sent a black scale flying, and one last hit broke the remaining scales.

Unsure how much overall damage she dealt, she retreated as the beast thrashed even more, and began to pick itself up. Hopefully Natalie would be able to put it down for good with that ridiculous tree-club.
