Before the first bounty hunter in front of him could let his pull his trigger, Jermaine was already in front of him, and delivered a punch to his face. And then followed up be an upward elbow that hit the bottom of his chin, knocking him out cold. Jermaine grabbed the unconscious man, and threw him further into the ground, before he decided to do something that would be a little smart. "Let's run!!" Jermaine used that opening to start running down the road, while these bounty hunters were nothing special, there were a large number of them. And Jermaine was sure that after a while, even he would start to get tired. He continued to sprint with Zoey behind him, and hopefully Loic too. This entire thing was too weird.

Why would they choose to give them a challenge only to change their minds later on? Jermaine was getting more and more frustrated with this situation by the second. But he didn't show it, instead he concentrated on running as fast as he possibly could do. He saw an alley way to his right, and jumped in hoping that the pair would see it, well if they managed to follow him that is. Zoey turned into the alleyway, and now he only had to wait to see if Loic had actually come. ”Hehe, Well at least we’re not stuck in a situation where they get to decide what’s happening anymore, but I don’t see the point behind them doing any of this.” Jermaine ran a hand through his hair, and brushed his suit down. It was weird to fight in this. But he had to concentrate on matters at hand. ”Now have any of you got anything in mind, like a possible way to get back at them, or even getting off this god-forsaken island.”

The moment Jermaine had made his move, the attention of every single one of the hunters had turned to him, and Loic took his opportunity. The signature series of clicks sounded as he pulled out his scythe, extended it to it's full length, and gripped low on the handle. His target was....right....there! Three of the men were standing in a straight line, right next to where the man who'd had his teeth knocked in had been, now staring after the man who was sprinting so fast he was actually leaving a dust trail.

"Blunt Reaper!!!" His entire body rotated into the swing, and that meant it was gonna hurt. A lot. The weapon's blunt edge slammed into the back of the necks of all three men at once, and all three of them let out a stuttered yell as they toppled to the floor. Loic pulled his hood over his head, giving the group on the other side of his opening a good stare before grinning. "You guys had your chance. Now....face the fear of death!" And they did. Several of them jumped back as the cloak's mysterious effect washed over them. One of them even covered his face. However, the expected wrath of skeletal rage never descended. Slowly, they uncovered themselves.

"Just kidding!!!" Loic laughed cheerfully as he sprinted after his companion in crime. His point had been made, and his goal complete. It took a while to cool down from that sort of fear, multiplied by the witnessing of three of their men being taken down at once. Even if they were good with their guns, or had particularly good rifles, their hands were shaking so much that there was no way they could get off a proper shot. And now, there was no way in hell they were going to follow too close. But more importantly than anything, Loic was having fun

"'Bout time they turned up the heat. Guess the fools who tried to sneak attack us from that trap door didn't make it out." Loic chuckled as he ducked into the same alleyway as his cohorts. He leaned back against the wall and smiled, keeping one robotic eye on the corner of the building, in case some idiot got brave. Jermaine asked if he had any ideas. Loic paused for a moment and contemplated on this."There's only...one thing I want to do before I leave this island." He dared a glance around the corner, just a little one. The hunters were still a bit of a distance away, but they were headed in their general direction. He came back around the corner. "That fancy idiot's cane. I think I'll take that with me. Even if it's completely worthless...I wanna make him feel like it's the most valuable thing in the seas, just because it's gone." Loic shook his head. You know, it wasn't even because the bounty hunters had tried to trick them. That was fine. No, it was the fact that they had done it so poorly and so obviously and in possibly the most boring way possible. To think that they hadn't even bothered with a plan B aside from 'huntur shuut thingy'. It was an insult to Loic's intelligence and pride, and he'd make sure that they'd regret it.

Six days. That was how long Vivian Osborne had been in the archipelago, hitching rides on marine ships between blues and now between the islands in the North Blue. Finding herself on an island where her business might not be appreciated as much had her down a bit and her usual kooky smile was nowhere near as large, instead subdued, drugged metaphorically. Bounty Hunters acting as innocent citizens had that effect on this would-be pirate collaborator, so she had to resort to her other skills. Heavy lifting and a can-do attitude. So, there she was, clad in green and black, carrying boxes across the town, unknowingly throwing herself into the start of an adventure.

Today’s load was heavier than usual, but still Vivi handled it with one hand, the one glowing in the rather vivid sunlight. Having an unfeeling, metal limb had its uses at some points, especially on top of her ever growing strength. It helped, especially today, when a multitude of people found themselves running around in a mad dash for god knew what. Likely, she guessed it was a couple of pirates getting caught up in affairs and being chased for a bounty or something as stupid as that. She had heard a few rumours from a nice girl she tried to flirt with in a bar yesterday that two or three pirates had been set a few challenges, and then they’d be on their way just like that. But, that seemed highly unlikely. A bounty holder in these parts? Likely fit for being hung unless they were super strong, and… well, it was the blues. Who could possibly be causing issues around this place? She put that thought aside. She wasn’t gonna cause trouble, and keeping her focus on the box as these mad people ran past was a top priority. They were looking for people fleeing them, likely those pirates. “Ho hum…” she giggled, carrying on her way.

Jermaine looked over to Loic, and listened to him speak, stealing the cane seemed a little bit appealing now that he really thought about it. It could fetch a good price if it turned out to be valuable, and if it wasn’t... Well Jermaine would be satisfied knowing that he pissed off that pompous weirdo that set them the fake challenges. ”Yeah, that’d be fun, we’ll take his cane, a boat and get the hell out of here. Now, lets go look for where he lives, knowing this guy, it’ll be somewhere grand and big. We’ll take these bounty hunters for a good ride around the island, lose them, and by that time we’ll have found his home.” Zoey nodded and prepped up her guns. And Jermaine himself brushed down his suit once again. Before he started to run out the alleyway, he was more or less sure the other two were right behind him.

Two bounty hunters caught site of him, and were about to run after him, but decided to give up once another mob of bounty hunters appeared. With a mob this big, it was only a matter of time according to them. Jermaine could only grin at that, they clearly didn’t know much about him, if anything at all. And his two friends here could hold their own easily, he started to laugh and grin as he looked behind him, forgetting to keep his eyes on the path in front of him. But he found himself bumping into someone, or something pretty hard. He dropped on his ass, and seemed pretty shocked; it wasn’t that the fall shocked him, but the heavy box that was on his stomach. It nearly winded him but Jermaine picked it up off his stomach, and stood up straight. ”Sorry for bumping into you, here’s your box back.” He laughed sheepishly, and nearly forget about the bounty hunters, well until a bullet zipped over his head, he froze for a second. ”You think that other woman is with them?”, one bounty hunter said, ”Who cares? Just shoot anyway, we’ll make a good amount of money” and before Jermaine knew it, a barrage of bullets came hurtling their way, it seemed as if the bounty hunters weren’t satisfied with only having their heads on a plate. Jermaine was ready to run again, ”I guess we should start running again, Miss, if you wanna stay safe, I advise you start running, these idiots aren’t the only ones chasing us...” Jermaine then took off once again, with a grin on his face, this was pretty fun in it’s own way.

Loic tilted his head just a little bit as Jermaine suggested they find this guy's house. He frowned just a little, and would have screwed his face up in thought had he the capability. After a few moments he smiled and shrugged. Interesting. "As you say." He watched as Jermaine headed out and immediately got himself spotted. By a lot of them. Gently rubbing his forehead, he followed after him. Perhaps he should have snuck off on his own to be stealthy, but...

"H-hey, watch where you're-!" Jermaine thumped himself directly into a woman in his path. Loic let out a mildly pained sigh and kept going right on past the merchant. But then, he stopped. Jogging in place for a moment to make up his mind, he went back so that he was standing next to the woman. Taking a better look, he found that he'd been right. "Did you....make that arm?" The dials around the green disks that made up his eyes spun a little bit as he looked the appendage over. It looked like pretty good work, particularly if she'd made it herself. The hunters following after them shouted out a bunch of stuff that sounded vaguely like they thought they'd be getting a lot of money from this. He wondered if they remembered that he was the only one here with a bounty, and frankly it wasn't high enough to warrant all the effort. And now, they seemed to include this random woman as part of their entourage. Jermaine himself was hardly part of Loic's entourage, much less this as-of-yet unnamed newcomer with the rather fascinating arm.

"Bunch of dullards. Well, if you haven't got a bounty you could just get to cover, if you want. Or you can just run with us. Your call." Loic grinned and crouched down a bit, throwing himself back into his running pace. He didn't have time for the whole speech he'd given Jermaine, but over his shoulder he called: "Our way's gonna be a lot more fun, though!"

The immediate thought going through Vivi’s head as she fell back a little was, simply laugh it off. Easier said than done, she supposed, looking over to the left. Her eyes fell upon the man who bowled into her, a curiously suave-looking character who wore a nice suit. She sighed a little, shaking her head as she dusted her knees off.

“Oi oi, you could have broken the box…” she smirked, giggling lightly, standing in a half hunch for a few moments. He seemed nice enough, she supposed, but he seemed… odd. This little thought slipped away as the man’s companion, a pale, blue haired man wheeled back to observe her prosthetics. She nodded at his question, watching his eyes… rotate...? She suddenly raised an eyebrow, curious, “Huh, yeah, arm is homemade… those eyes sure are fancy…” she trailed off, the sudden splinter of wood behind her breaking her out of wonderment. She hadn’t heard what exactly they said, but she was dreading what it was. More bullets rang out around her, but she was alert enough to catch just what the two men said. The guy in the suit literally told her to run, and finally she caught on. It was the escapees!

“Wait, bounty hunters? I never asked for this!” Viv shook her head, still smiling weakly but unable to do much else, “And what d’ya mean not the only ones?” she asked, as the other man began running, calling back over his shoulder about joining them in escaping the bounty hunters. She looked at the box, then the chasers, sighing as she abandoned her duties and took wide strides to catch up with these rather odd pirates.

Jermaine rubbed the back of his head as he chuckled a little nervously, while running of course, he noticed their little talk about their special body parts, he shook his head. People and their toys, or super cool metal body parts in this case. He noticed everyone catching up again, he could only shake his head as the bullets the bounty hunters were using really seemed to miss, by a wide margin. Jermaine seemed to know where he was going to go, he cut through alleyways and small pathways. He made sure that the rest of his group could see where he was going. He stopped in one of the alleyways, now he was sure that he lost the bounty-hunters again. He seemed to be a little out of breath, and took a few seconds to catch it once again. "Sorry for not introducing myself earlier, my name's Jermaine Johnson, and that's Zoey, don't let her tough demeanor put you off" Jermaine was then pistol whipped on the back of his head, leaving him in pain. He sighed, some things never changed, but he did notice how Zoey was far more quiet since they arrived on this island.

Zoey put her gun away, and looked at her boss, "Honestly Jermaine, you keep managing to get yourself into trouble somehow, I expect some sort of pay rise soon enough you know." Jermaine noticed that she didn't seem to be annoyed and chuckled a little bit. But then turned toward the other two, "Ah, a big, rich looking building, it sorta seems obvious that someone with a certain good looking cane lives here, wouldn't you agree Loic?" The smirk on Jermaine's face seemed mischievous at best. He was glad that he wouldn't be bored for a while, especially if this lot decided to stick around for a while.

With a fresh curiosity and a new companion, even if she were temporary at the moment, following behind, Loic kept stride with Jermaine. He stayed a ways back, though, to ensure that the woman with the cybernetic arm could see where they went as they snaked through the alleys. He came to a stop next to the merchant, crossing his arms a bit and taking the time to subtly catch his own breath. "Loic Moreau. I'm an actual pirate." He chuckled, motioning to Jermaine. "He hasn't earned his skull and crossbones yet."

He turned and looked at the house that was pointed out. "Eeeeh? What if he isn't home? ....Or doesn't actually live here?" He frowned and tilted his head, looking the place over. It was certainly flashy enough. Maybe it was what they were looking for? "You wanna just wait around til he shows up?" Loic was on a roll, and was starting to enjoy himself and this whole stupid trip. Sitting around and waiting for some dressed up wannabe with a fancy cane, he worried, would kill his streak. But, then again....

"Eh, your call. Either way, I'm sure we can drag him out with this." He tapped a finger thoughtfully against his arm. Suddenly, a realization flashed across his mind. "Oh, when we do find what'shisface, don't tell him we plan on taking anything. I don't want him to know it's gone, I want him to realize it's missing." He turned to glance at the house. "...And if he is out, I suppose I wouldn't mind nicking a few of his knickknacks. Could use the spending money...."

Whilst catching her breath after following the three, she rested against the building behind them, giggling as they introduced themselves. The main called Jermaine introduced himself and a rather strong-looking woman who caught her eyes immediately. She blushed a little, giggling as the woman pistol whipped her captain. The other man with the blue hair and pale skin introduced himself as a real pirate, probably one with a bounty and actual experience. She smiled and nodded along, before it was her turn, "Oh, well, it's certainly nice to meet you all... even if you did drag my ass into your problem. But, whatever, guess I'll stick around... I'm Vivian Osborne..." she smirked, scratching her head. Sure, this was as nice an intro as she was gonna get, but the next thing said made all the blood leave her face. For once she was even paler than normal.

"Ya gonna rob a cane from these guys? They'll hunt you down, y'know... but, as long as I can share a bit of this money..." she shrugged, sighing half-heartedly, "Ya guys are either real stupid or my kind of crazy..." she found herself saying, observing the house herself. Not very strong looking, she decided. One swing in the right place'd bring it down, but that wasn't the exact plan now was it? She could only wait until Jermaine decided their actual plan of attack. Hell, she thought, if she was gonna be a pirate she might as well enjoy whatever was coming.

Jermaine chuckled a little bit, "We'll never know unless we try, now firstly, we gotta find our way inside. It doesn't seem like this place could take all that many hits, but we don't want him to realize that his precious cane is gone now, do we?" He said with a small smile on his face. He did have a small but definitely an interesting group with him. "Hm, I'll earn it soon enough, and you'll find yourself looking up at me with adoring eyes, I can see it now, 'Mr. Jermaine! I'm sorry for ever doubting you!' " He did his best to imitate Loic's voice which wasn't all that bad an impression. He found himself chuckling a little, "Don't worry, he'll never realize it's gone, a nice knocking out is usually good enough, and if he isn't home, well....We could go and wait for him, it'd be rude to leave without saying goodbye." Jermaine said with a small smirk.

"Don't worry, we'll be fine, don't worry about a thing, plus we'll take as much as we can grab, I do need a new suit, well after I can get a great ship, this guy will seriously help us along. And I don't know which one of them, I'd go with both, since they seem similar enough..." He said as he nodded his head, before looking the building up and down. This place seemed hardly secured, yet this was a bounty hunter island. What the hell was going on here? He looked around carefully, why was it this quiet? He shrugged his shoulders, he'd jump that hurdle once he actually got to it, what was more important was the fact he needed to get inside of that building.

He motioned for the rest of the group to stay, well stay still. He walked out of the alley way quietly, and looked at the fence, it wasn't tall at all, it wouldn't even by all that hard to leap over the thing. But instead of doing any of that, he decided to walk up to the front gate of the building, and knocked, "Hellooo! Anyone in there?"

Loic watched as Jermaine did his...thing. Whatever that was. The whole while, his expression never changed. He leaned against the wall of the alleyway and stared after him, raising a thoughtful hand to his chin.

"He's....still kind of wet behind the ears," he said aloud, before turning to Vivian with a shadow of a smile. "And of course they're going to hunt us. Well, they're going to try. The bounty hunters here aren't as experienced on the sea as they would have you believe. Most of them just keep to the island and let the pirates come to them. Thing is, my target," he pointed in a generally southern direction, "Is the Grand Line. Simply put, if all it takes is losers like these to overpower me...I don't deserve to be there." He leaned back more against the wall, turning his head again to watch Jermaine.

He didn't bring up that he'd gone there before. He didn't bring up that his cybernetics weren't originally built to be able to handle the heat. He didn't bring up his failure, or his subsequent year long coma, or the further year long recovery. He simply watched Jermaine, making note of any mistakes, examining everything. He was fairly confident that the four of them, if absolutely need be, could handle every hunter on this island, if they were smart about it. He was already planning it, in fact, just in case this whole thing turned sour.

What surprised Jermaine more than anything else was the fact that no-one was actually inside of the building, well no-one answered. Nor were there any sort of guns pointed in his direction. From what he could tell about the place, it really was deserted, did the cane-guy really live here? It seemed strange, almost unfathomable that he would leave his home unguarded. This made Jermaine seriously worry, he almost sneaked back toward the area he knew everyone else was hiding. The alley way. "Guys. There's no-one in that place. It's probably trapped, like everything else in this place. He probably expected us to come here. I don't think we should go in there needlessly. We'd have to be extremely careful about this. Something about that house really puts me off kilter." It was the first time during his time on the island that Jermaine spoke anything near seriously.

Jermaine sat on the top of an abandoned box of some sort, whether it was wooden or plastic. He didn't really care to check, his mind was currently somewhere else, while he didn't look nor act like it. Jermaine was definitely good when it came to making strategies and plans. It came with the business, to make money one has to know not only people, but the world in general, a large portion of the population's mindset. "Alright, well the best way we can go in to take the cane, is to do it while he's there. Including his guards, we'll have to sneak in when his back's turned. Not literally speaking of course, that'd be stupid. We'll go into the rooms he's been in, so we know they won't be filled with traps. Knowing his kind, he'll have a treasury, which can possibly act as the island's whole. We can take what we want from that." Jermaine said with a more serious expression.

Loic stared at the building. He looked it over, and he looked over the gate. He took in everything he could. The gate, the walkway, the lawn, the material that made up the house itself, everything. Something wasn't right here, and whether or not there was even anything in that place was yet to be seen. He allowed his eyes enter their 'closed' state for just a moment, to be alone with his thoughts. This could either be exactly the place they were looking for, or a trap. At the moment it was impossible to tell. This Jermaine character was only assuming he was right about the cane-guy living here. They were going on effectively nothing.

He nodded to himself and 'reopened' his eyes. Purposefully, he stepped out of the alleyway and redrew his scythe, the sections swinging around and clicking into place. "On this island of tricks and traps and misdirection, the average pirate decides to brute force their through, and blast the traps apart."

He exhaled evenly, lowering the scythe down and gripping it in both hands. Sliding one foot towards the iron gates, he lowered his head and tensed himself. "Final Requiem of..." He tightened the muscles in his stomach and upper arms and stepped forward with his other foot, concentrating his full body's power into his scythe as it moved up into the air. "100 Souls!!! The scythe crashed down and carved through the iron bars of the gate, leaving a gaping hole in it's wake. It hadn't been necessary, per se, but he had his reasons.

In fact, as he relaxed and set the dull end of the scythe on the ground in order to lean on it lightly, he took a moment to admire his work. He'd never quite done that before. It was exhilarating. Pushing off of the scythe to stand solely on his own two feet once more, he broke down the scythe and attached it to his back. "But, I'll simply out maneuver them." He turned around and marched back into the alley, looking around for a good place to hide several people. "We don't know what's really in that place, but I'm willing to bet he'd expect us to come here. We'll let him think he's right. When he comes to check the place out, seeing the gate broken will make him think we got in. Then he'll tell us everything we need to know. We'll watch him move, because he'll avoid any traps. If this place is just a trick, then he'll make it clear that he thinks he got us. If it's his place, well, if you think a bunch of pirates just broke into your house, what's the first place you'd check?" He hoisted some of the stuff around to provide a make-shift hidey-hole for them, and then tested it out to ensure that he could properly see the front of the building from it. Satisfied, he motioned that everyone should pile in. He wasn't sure how long they had before they had company, and he wanted to be sure they didn't know they were being watched. Smiling to himself, he pulled the hood of his cloak up over his head and waited."

Jermaine looked at Loic, what was the man going to do? This seemed a little strange, so he made sure to watch him carefully, just in case the man did anything stupid. And coming from Jermaine this was saying a lot. He saw the man destroy the iron gates, well more like tear through it. It was something that Jermaine hadn't seen all that often, a refreshing change to say the least. He would have gone further, to investigate even, but he didn't exactly want to make it obvious that people were actually here and hiding nearby, that would cause far more trouble than it was worth."Sounds like a plan then. I can't wait to wipe off that smug smirk off his face. I wonder how many pirates this guy's actually caught himself, he didn't look all that strong, nor did he seem intimidating," Jermaine rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. Even though he knew it was wrong to underestimate people, he found himself doing just that right now.

Jermaine saw the little hiding place Loic had made, so this is where they'd be watching the old sleeze bag from? Jermaine found himself looking at the construct, and before you knew it, he'd already made himself comfortable. His bodyguard, Zoey followed right behind him. It'd take a fair while for the bounty hunter guy to get back here. He'd be shifting through the cash, making plans and other things. The small rag-tag group would find themselves waiting for another hour until the cane-man had arrived back to his home. A smirk was on the man's face. He entered the building with his entourage of bounty hunters. Jermaine could even see that onion guy from earlier on. It seemed strange to him that he'd bring such a small group of people, was he really that confident? Jermaine couldn't help but find himself laugh. These men were far too arrogant, but maybe they had something up their sleeve.

"It seems like they're already back, it took a little long, my legs feel stiff as hell. I sure hope that guy has some sort of leg unstiffner, well if something like that exists, seems like a great business idea, I should write it dow- Wait no, wrong timing. We'll need to stay here a little longer right? Get him to leave his guard down, or something like that."

Loic tapped his arm as he waited. All he needed was the smallest of signs. When they finally returned, he smiled a little bit. They'd expected that the group of pirates would show up. "Hey. You think if we split them in half, we can take them all?" a smile had spread across Loic's face. "I'd prefer fighting them outside. Closed corridors don't fit well with a long arc weapon like mine, plus they've got traps everywhere in there...Wanna draw them out and pull a fancy little ambush? Bet we could take half of 'em out before they figured out where we were. Of course, if you'd rather head in and clean them out while they're distracted, I'm sure I can sweep up out here." Loic emerged from their hiding place, his hood pulled low over his eyes, and headed for the front yard. "I'll leave what you do up to you. Work around me, eh?"

Along his way, he grabbed a couple of the iron rods that had fallen from the destroyed gate. With that done, and checking to make sure that they weren't already heading out, he pulled himself up onto the overhang over the front door and, rather calmly, flicked one of the iron bars end over end down the walkway, causing a fair bit of loud clanging with each bounce until it came to a stop in the street, with another series of loud, ringing bangs. What Jermaine did, Loic figured, was up to him. And it would reveal exactly what kind of pirate he'd turn out to be.
