The shockwave caused by the weakened Kuroda caused a light gash across all of the marines bodies, enough too send them either running or too the floor. Andjoo coiled up beside the almost defeated Jay as Kuroda fell infront of him also. They both lay side across from each other with each of their faces embedded now simply within the pavement almost. Kuroda slowly lifted up his exhausted and wounded arm as he generated a light grin across his face. He coughed thus causing phlegm too come from his smoker's lungs and outward from his mouth into a small glob on the cement pavement. He slowly pressed his hands against the ground and propped himself up. He placed his hand into his jacket and brought out the legendary shot glass of P. Diddy which he had claimed during this Santamas. He pulled out his sake then poured out a shot for Jay and turned him on his back before forcing the sake down his throat. It would burn like a bitch and when it went through into his system it would give him a kick jolt of energy which would surge through his body like some burning fire. One thing would be known, he wouldnt feel very good in the morning and his shits were gonna be like a hydro cannon of sorts. Kuroda took a shot for himself as he stood slowly up onto his feet. Swear dripped from his damaged and broken body as he grasped Jay and pulled him up onto his feet and staggerly balanced him on his feet against a nearby wall with his defeated posture not granting him much resistance.

"This will be simply the day my son which they almost captured Kuroda the black snake."

He heathed and hoed as he turned too Andjoo, he began too run off and begin to scout the area. As far as Kuroda was concerned he could almost sense the sea close. Before long Andjoo came back around the corner of the street and nodded too the duo in question. It was soon to be that they'd reach the merchant docks. The smell of soot and fire seemed too put off most of the dogs from his pungent smell of piss and his own feces. Kuroda turned his back too Jay thus and looked up at the gargantuan man. He didn't give him a look of disrespect but that of understanding.

"Do you need help? I'll carry you. I cant have you not making it too one of these merchant ships after bringing you so far. You can reside in Andjoo's stomach if need be. He wont digest you."

The man spoke with understanding that his comerade was certainly within a dire straits of sorts and he knew if the man could simply discard his pride then he would be able too make it out this mess alive. He did not know what measure of man this boy was and too be honest he did not need too know. He had suffered wounds and foes far beyond his capability as a pirate thus far and it was all due to Kuroda's unrelenting encouragement too thrust himself into the fray with reckless abandon. He was a pirate but he too knew what it was like truly too lose everything, without realizing it he had somehow allowed Jay too become him within a very few hours, his friends were most likely dead like most of Kuroda's and he had lost them trying too become a warrior of the sea. He knew the cross which they both had aoon themselves now, the least he could do is either put him out of his misery and leave him here or help him out of here too continue his tortured fate.

Kuroda snapped his fingers and then a large golden stick spewed out of the gullet of Andjoo and fell too the feet of Kuroda. He then slowly threw it over too the side of Jay. It was a weapon which Kuroda had no use for as a user of kitchen knifes and was once the weapon of a pirate whom which was able too bring somewhat some peace too his native land of Cactus Island. Surely it would be in better hands of someone who was more capable of wielding it themselves and surely it could give him some balance too the broken body in which was under his control. He respected the lad.

"This was the weapon of a great warrior whom owned an entire island too himself, use it too stable yourself and follow me if you dare or run and sell it to someone and hide your identity and live here."

Meanwhile...

A ship sailed close to shore, though cautiously and sluggishly. Peaking out from behind the single tent was the face of the beady eye'd man Baba. He had been frozen in thought for quite some time as a man had recently threatened his life in the name of money. However, a man of fortune and telling, he was capable of looking into his crystal ball for answers. Any smart individual faced with threat of death would certainly have decided to leave by now. Even if he only had a single oar on his boat in which to paddle, no sail, and being particularly frail himself, he still could have made enough ground to escape his fate. However, upon reading his own future, he would have enough of a glimpse to see that he should stay put... that there was more for him to do.

This did no guarantee that he would not meet his end today. As any good fortune teller would tell you, there was no way of writing when a person would die... however, when the man who had threatened his life failed to show up promptly, he gained some confidence in himself, and in his premonitions. After all, he was a fortune teller, and while his living was a modest one, this was how he chose to make it.

Baba waiting patiently for what was about to happen. Many of the other ships had long since sailed away; seeking shelter from the islands current suffering economic state. However he was much convinced that if he stayed, his role in someones life would be irreplaceable. He couldn't help but reflect that there is sometimes sacrifice in the need to help others; and Baba would put his fate on the line for the sake of destiny.

::rawr:: Meanwhile~

Andjoo the snake moved into Baba's tent and slowly climbed apon the ship with a leap. As he reached the den he would see the old frail man staving of sleep simply due to boredom. The primal being simply stared at the man with a somewhat raised brow. He had not seen such a strange and pathetic little person within his existense but Andjoo was an arrogant judgmental snake so the old man would have to do. Andjoo slowly approached the old man and tugged on his ankle with a tug from his powerful fat ornery tail as his crimson red scales would glimmer in the night light it would be revealed it was non other than the sidekick of the Black Snake whom had caused all the trouble during the day too the people of this island. He had fought the Grey Butterflies and stopped the xenophobic and somewhat extreme Captain Giant James of the marines and provided the people somewhat a short lived freedom of their fullest power. Truely things were slightly looking up but that was not of the priority of the situation. The large snake seemed too want the old man's attention as it shot out of the shade of inside the ship and made a defiant leap back onto the docks.

"Ssssssssssssss!"

Andjoo made a loud hiss signalling the man too come quick and began too make its way towards where Kuroda and Jay where residing trying too lead the man known as Baba too their aid. Only through the help of this man could these boys truly make it out alive. When Andjoo arrived closeby Kuroda he would give him a nod signalling him that help was coming, he seemed too have procured a way of stabling themselves slightly but thankfully it would not be for naught as help was coming. Andjoo turned too look onward too check if the old fortune teller got the message that he was too come after him, surely he would recognize him from the rumors spreading out apon the island. Andjoo was not a human but he still suffered some effects of almost humanoid emotions due to his vast intelligence and one of the emotions he suffered from deeply was pride due to his very ornery and fat appearance. He'd be very angry and grumpy if the man didn't recognize him at all, he'd been sailing for almost 4 years now as a a pirate with no fame or glory.

As Kuroda spoke it only brought spasms to Jay’s lungs causing him to laugh, as it was genuinely a laughable situation, especially as he was thinking about everything in what he thought would be his last moments. He had come here as first mate of a pirate crew, with what seemed to be a promising captain, after a few adventures where the Karate island blacksmith had seen the real underbelly of the world he had lived in blindly, and here on the third jaunt out, his captain abandoned him to fight marines, leaving him to get shot, stabbed, beaten with some jackass pirate that he didn’t know who was supposedly just to be trusted, it was a hilarious turn of events, and although each breath was painful and the laughter brought great pain to the behemoth of a man he couldn’t help but laughing uncontrollably and it even had the qualities of the belly laugh that Jay was known for, a once hearty laugh that would fill the largest of taverns.

It was the clang of metal that made Jay realised that Kuroda had passed him something, and although he had one half of his Bo staff in the hand he reached out and felt the weapon, it felt somewhat familiar, but then again that could be the lack of blood speaking again, turning his head to look at the pirate Jay raised an eyebrow as best he could and gave a small nod before moving the two halves together and slowly screwing them together end to end, so that the leather grips formed the middle of his iron Bo staff, taking that and the golden stick in each hand he slowly made his to his knees. The man was so tired just to do this, but he grunted and forced himself up to his feet using the staves to stabilize himself, and although he was very wobbly and his legs shook occasionally as if they were about to fall from under him the blacksmith refused to fall somehow.

Looking to Kuroda with a harsh look the black haired vagabond said “I owe you a debt…. For now, my path is with yours, until I feel it completed…. Besides… I don’t do running, as you saw earlier…Now let’s get the fuck off this rock… I’ve spilt enough blood on its soil….” Jay then waited for Kuroda to make a move before following after him, not sure where the next turn would take him or if he’d even get the hell off this island, as he had wondered so much before, but he no longer cared, this pirate had tried to save him, and even got him out a burning building, and although the vagabond hated the way he addressed someone like Jay who was helping them at the time, he owed him something, and a man of Karate Island with any decency paid his debts.

Kuroda smirked as he noticed that Jay was simply not out of the game yet and he would be able to continue with him further down the path in which they had carved out for them. He trusted Andjoo's guidance too guide him too some optimum shelter or transportation out of here. They needed to get out of there ASAP that was understood. Kuroda made his way too the wooden dock side and stumbled onto his knees. He could feel his entire body being dragged down by the gravity like it was an invisible giant's hand pressing down their entire weight upon him. he slowly sat down on his feet and let his wrists fall too the ground almost defeated. He listened too the sound of the ocean and he could feel it calling too him, soon he would be home once again and he could have some wonderful sleep so he could. As he looked over the beautiful majestic waves he could not help but notice that there was almost a single remaining ship. The smell of the rich sea salts stained their clothes but nipped their wounds, the smell of soot vanished from them seemingly and their tracks hidden briefly. Kuroda began too try and get back onto his feet and walk towards the small boat which was residing left there. He felt a sharp pain within his calve as he fell onto his face again and began too laugh. Hope. It was there but he was truely in a sorry sort, he couldn't help but just laugh. It saved his pride. His giggle would turn almost into a almost impossible not to notice by the time he was closing in upon the ship. Jay must of thought he was going mad but Kuroda was happy that his legacy would still continue on from this day forward and he would only have too move a few inches more. He slowly sat himself up outside the wooden ship before looking back too see if Jay was able to catch up with him. Andjoo would slowly slither along side his master's modest pace at best, didn't he know they had little time left?, Truly these humans were insane. Andjoo would leap within the wooden ship once more as he would poke his head into the room containing Baba as too try and grab his attention as he didn't seem to follow him the first time that he had entered the ship and prodded him for his attention.

"We...can make it..."

Kuroda felt the sweat drip down his body from the cold breeze of the sea and he noticed one thing for sure and that was you cant choose the pirate life, it chooses you. No matter how much you run from the search of One Piece as long as you contain an embodiment of free will and strong ambition you will always be brought back too the Grand Line. Kuroda would venture into the Grand Line once more, it was decided but even at his current strength he wouldn't be able too simply breeze through it. He and Jay would have to train, that blow too his eye was also not simply just a flesh wound and he could feel blindness coming too it as his sight faded. He would need too find a way to implant the eye of Ryu D. Yamazaru and regain his sight, there was said to be great medical practitioners located at Karate Island. The martial arts was the way of using the body to fight and surely someone would know how to preform the operation for Kuroda and maybe he could find a way to become stronger by training there before he enters the blues. All of this was just planning though, they weren't out of the fire yet. Marines could still be coming, they would need too use nightfall to stealthily escape the surrounding area. Hopefully the owner of this boat was missing and they could just hijack this shit and get out of here pronto.

Each step was agony, it felt worse than any broken bone or wound he had ever taken, his body was simply fighting against him in every way it could and with it being as well trained as it was it put up one hell of a point, and as each heartbeat felt like a fist was squeezing tighter and tighter the usually wild haired man was ready to give up, but as Kuroda moved the blacksmith simply focused on that blur and took each step as it came, despite the fact that it felt like each leg had huge weights on it trying to keep him in the spot. Though he could take some of the weight off his legs with the help of each of the Bo staffs, his trusty iron one and the golden one that came from the belly of that bizarre snake, the beast had gone from Jay’s sight and he didn’t much think on it, though there was the niggling fact that if he was to collapse Kuroda may make true on carrying him in the snakes stomach, without it ‘digesting’ him … somehow.

As the breeze picked up and swept some of the sweat, and blood and whatever other liquid Jay had on his less than clothed form he relished the coldness, it wasn’t from the tiredness, it cooled his wounds and body in general and gave him a bit more energy, and what was more the slight chill helped him to focus that little bit more. The salt smell that came with it brought a smile to his features as well, and even caused him to pick up the pace somewhat, he heard Kuroda say something, but all the blacksmith could do was enjoy the smell, the wind and focus on putting one foot in front of the other.

His arms were beginning to ache, and when he say Kuroda sit down Jay took up residence not to far away and tried to get his breath back, his biceps were on fire having to support his large bulk for that march. Though he was getting bored of being in pain and attempted to push it from his mind, looking up to Kuroda and breathing deeply asked “Why….Are we…Sat here…And not sailing away, damnit…. “ Leaning back as far as he could, he looked over to the blurred shape of a ship and gave a single chuckle before looking back to Kuroda and finishing with “Or is this as far as a child can make it with his goal just there?” Forcing the staves under one arm each Jay pushed himself to his feet with a grunt and groan before slowly making his way for the gang plank, if Kuroda wasn’t going to leave with this ship Jay would, with what force he had left.

Time passed, and then, Baba realized that something had changed indeed. Here infront of him were pair of individuals, who were in rather poor condition from the look at them, though did they mean harm to him? There was no way to tell. Baba looked to his crystal ball for a moment, thinking that perhaps he should consult his gifted ability to decide what he should do next. However, as a fortune teller, he also learned that he shouldn't abuse his abilities. Whether they were true or not, the future had many possibilities, but the present was set in stone as it slipped into the past. Baba decided that this time, he would act without an idea of what was waiting for him.

Baba slowly moved to the oar and began to paddle his small shack of a boat towards land and towards the two to get a closer look... did they need his help? Or were they to help him?

Kuroda would slowly lift his hand up too the stars as he would smile and look over too Jay and then simply grin, he seen a line of marines coming from further up the docks as he shook his head. They were catching up too where they were because Kuroda let those others run away before. He would lean over and grasp Jay by the wrist and grab it firmly. He would then plant both of his feet into the pavement and with defiant tug with his inhuman strength Kuroda leaned all of his weight back causing the large man too be lifted up into the air. As the man swung with under his grasp Kuroda would smile and look into his eyes, with his ....eh eww one eye well I guess he kinda just made eye coordination with one during his hammer like toss. The move was almost the very last of his strength and it pained him heavily to preform as he felt his muscles pull indefinately.

"I hope you can swim."

He grunted with a manly hurrah as he let go of Jay's wrist flinging him straight toward the ship as he threw him with as much of his strength as possible but it was undoubtedly failing him at this point in his venture. Kuroda found his arms became limp as he fell onto his knees breathing heavily as he looked back and saluted the marines which were following suit too their location, thankfully it did not look like they had very powerful guns. Kuroda fell limp and began too roll slowly over too the edge before toppling off and his body splashed against the surface of the water with a defiant, Plop! Hopefully the man whom was paddling the ship would see the fire and smoke coming from the island and stop his progress but not simply flee. Kuroda floated up to the surface of the water with his back against it as he looked up onto the stars and began too kick. As he pushed his feet against the water he began to guide across it as he soon caught up with Jay. The Marines could not see them under the darkness of the night over the dark blue ocean as they made a steady movement toward the small wooden ship.

The next thing Jay knew was he was in the air and being launched towards a black void that shimmered, and the smell of salt got stronger and stronger, until that chill that came from the air originally was all around him, and making him feel cold, and wet… It took a few minutes of staying under the water and simply star fished under the water, still holding onto the weapons before Jay realised he was under the water. Whilst under there he did let out a strongly muffled “GWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH” Which of course let out all the oxygen he had in his lungs, and with less oxygen in his lungs his weight let him get pulled down a bit into the water, though it allowed him to see which was up, and quickly swam to the surface. Breaking it and gasping for air, and after almost hyperventilating to get air back into his lungs he looked for Kuroda. Then from the darkness came the pirate, however he was busy taking this time to relax his muscles, and with his form being as broad as he was he floated without much problem as long as he kept his breathing stable.

Though the blacksmith did kick out at the pirate and say quietly, but sternly “If you don’t stop man handling me kid, I’ll brain you with this staff you gave me…” Though after that mild threat he yawned a wide yawn and his body began to relax, floating there he stared up at the stars. The same stars he saw most nights after finishing a shift from the smithy, the smoke from the fire even gave them the haze he used to know. It made him think of home, and without thinking he said quietly “Perhaps Karate Island will allow me back in to tournaments…. Or my own smithy if I go back…” Shooting a glance to Kuroda he saw him gently paddling his way past him, and did a similar thing with his legs just to follow the pirate, as he had promised to get him out of this hell hole.

Managing to get to a reasonable pace beside him, he spoke out “Where do you hail from then boy?” seeing as Kuroda had mocked him a few times since meeting him he would get his own back now, when they were both weaker and the only thing they could really fight with was their words, though Kuroda had a large snake that could take him down easily right now, but Jay had accepted death already and was merely waiting for the skeletal reaper to claim his prize. Still the night was fairly peaceful as they floated off the shore of the island, his wounds being somewhat cleaned by the salt water.

"I am from the Grand Line."

He stated with a somewhat quite abrupt way like he didn't really like talking about the past. Losing his friends is what made him become the man whom he was today. He sailed casually over the surface of the water. The flames licking the air from the torches of the Marines could be heard off in the distance along with their screams as they tried to find a solution too their problem. Kuroda looked over at Jay and raised an eyebrow at his tone which he was raising whilst talking too the man whom saved his life many times now but he didn't really care, if he wasn't cheeky he wouldn't want someone who couldnt state their mind following him around. As he started too swim ahead of the damaged Jay backpedaling his way too the side of the ship which Baba resided he looked back at the docks as they started rolling out their anti ship weaponry. A large cannon stood several meters of them as it pointed at the ship with hostile intent. Kuroda didn't seem worried though as he slowly grasped his large blade and began too unsheath it slowly him dripping with the sea salt covered water which weighed down his damaged and fatigued limbs. He looked somewhat like he was smiling.

"Get on the ship Jay. We are closing the door before the rats nip our ankles."

The sea breeze would gust past as he felt the stinging smell of the sea burn his nostrils he would exhale those words quite quickly as in his final move within this plot he would guaranteed success though but it was gonna be a doozy...might go for a nap after this. A stutter of his breath could be seen as he stood there as he was barely standing almost falling at the weight of his own blade he stabbed it into the wood and then held tightly onto the hilt as he stumbled over awaiting for Jay too secure himself on the boat before he preformed the technique in which he thought would save them.

Ever the silent observer, Baba simply let things happened as they would. The island was in some sort of disorganizes state, with some thing burning and smoke rising into the air. It was easy to tell by the marines activity that the two badly injured peoples were both criminals of some sort, or at least in the eyes of justice they were. Baba wasn't incredibly concerned that these people would attempt a try at his life; after all they were trying to take refuge on his ship (if you can even call it a ship). Not only that, but he wasn't bothered by the in coming marines either. They wouldn't go as far as to kill a citizen would they? The same ones they were trying to protect?

Either way, Baba had prepared himself to test his premonition. After all, who was a fortune teller that wasn't willing to put his own fortunes to the test. Whether he was risking his life or not was irrelevant; the future was what it was going to be and there was no stopping it.

Realizing that his boat, tiny in comparison and weak beyond all measure to those of the marines vessels, Baba observed the actions of the two, listening to them only long enough before returning to his tent. He didn't want to watch what was about to happen. He had made a living in this tent; his passion was in this tent and if he was to die, or live, then it would be in the tent upon his boat that had given him shelter for this time.

Perhaps he would have words worth speaking if he wasn't soon killed by the barrage of canon fire.

The short answer from Kuroda made the blacksmith realise he wasn’t going to be much of a conversationalist beyond the insults and orders, surely they’re jaunt together would be over quickly then, and even when he get into a boat the older of the two wondered if he should really get into it, not if he had the energy but if he really should. Lying in the water for a few moments longer he looked at Baba who was just staring off into the distance, where the fire was. Shaking his head slightly at the slight absurdity that was this entire day he flipped over onto his front in the water and crawled onto the boat, and then crawling his way over to the far side and propping himself up against the wood, watching the cinders and smoke float up into the air off the island “I’d say that was a job well done then….Whatever it was you set out to do.” There was one thing Jay had learnt, out of the many he claimed, from his smithy work, was that fire truly cleansed everything, kept the pours of the skin open, killed germs, got rid of the cold, removed mistakes. As such when Jay looked out over the island he didn’t see a mistake with the orange glow of the fire, he was a mistake being taken away, he was germs being killed, and a chance to forge something new.

Though he still questioned if it was to find David again, or to go on his own, or even go on with Kuroda, still he was too tired to give much care or serious thought into any of these life changing ideas, so he did what he wanted to do for a long time. He placed his head back against the wood, put his arms by his sides and allowed the staves to roll onto the deck fairly freely by him. Slowly he allowed his eyes to close, his pupils still focusing on the orange glow from the island as his lids shut and he began to rest properly ,he was still somewhat awake, but on the verge of comatose sleep, and let’s face it, both Kuroda and Jay had fought hard for a rest.

"I set out only too live, I did not choose the pirate life, it choose me. One is born most thug like this best they be tripping on their selves to be like myself. I do not need too answer you now Jay. This is not the day you need answers. Focus on the sorrow of losing your crew and make this day done."

Kuroda beckoned his loud larger than life voice from his strained damaged throat, He fell too his knees as a quick wave hit the side of the boat shaking it side to side. Kuroda gave a quick cough of fatigue of his strained body as the cold wind gave himself a chill. He stabbed his blade point into the boat as it began too rock from side to side it seemed like Kuroda wouldn't be able too stand. He sneezed as he pushed his other palm forth from the ground as he stabled his legs!

Bang!

A cannon went off and a large black lead ball crashed into the sea surface. It fortunately missed the boat due too the rocking back and forth. Fortunately they were still close enough for Kuroda's technique too take action. He slowly took out his flask of sake and drank out of it as he stumbled upwards and stable, He seemed like he was pulling a face when he let out a deep breath!

"Attsueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeei!"

The strange noise, it was the same one he had made when he was back at the bar and he destroyed part of that building, He was staggering back and forth holding the blade staggeringly as he slowly began too make himself balanced and held his blade outward in front of him as he stared towards the wooden dock.

"You don't need answers from me, You need to live.*hic"

Kuroda seemed too be mumbling and uttering something under his lips before raising the blade above his head. He grasped it tightly with both hands and swiped diagonally left out in front of him in a wide arc sending a slicing shock wave, it glided across the ocean surface with immense velocity and power strong enough that it cut straight through the wood of the supports under the cannons like butter and collapsed the structure sending the marines and the cannons located over it into the ground. The sounds of their frustration and pain echoed through the ears of the men on board the ship. Kuroda hiccuped again as he staggered after preforming such an immense feat he fell on his arse. The same wooden platform was a massive piece of the dock market district though unfortunately vacated at this present moment in time was still valued by the economy of the island, surely this would not bode well with the government's desire to capture this man already. Kuroda seemed dazed as he felt faint all of a sudden and lost grip of the ship. He fell off the port side into the water and Andjoo leaped out and bit his hand deeply as he tied his tail onto the side of the boat and pulled him on board. It seemed that last attack took all that was left out of Kuroda and he was incapable of fighting any longer, They would need too make their way out of this situation as fast as possible. Kuroda slowly examined the ship layout and turned too Jay.

"There are only 4 oars...I wont be able too man them, could you possible take two...This old man will take one and Andjoo will man the fourth...and we can make our way out of here before they call for reinforcements, I'll check my sea charts and find the safest way too Karate Island. If it is indeed your place of home I'd assume you'd want to visit there before we go to the grand line...*hic* family what not... My devil fruit which James had formerly seems too have been sent out too another island and if I didn't take that moment too rest I would of been able too have caught it...maybe...No use thinking about it now*hic!*"

Kuroda was shivering in pain and leaning against the cabin on the ship as blood dripped from the wounds which he had became afflicted by from the recent events on board the island. Numerous of them were his own doing but if it wasn't for him they would of never made it out alive in the first place. For too long he had been relying on the shadows and hiding his face from the rest of the blues. It was time for him too sail the seas again in search of the magnificent treasure known as One Piece but before he could do that he would have too become even stronger than he already is no matter what the cost. One of his hands reached into one of the pockets on his jacket and slowly rubbed the mysterious mechanical eye that he had found apon his travels and he felt the searing pain from the scar in which The Grey Butterfly had inflicted on him in their clash. For some reason he suspected it would not be the last time that their paths cross. He could see his vision fading and he needed too find a solution too his dulling body fast. He awaited answer too his orders from Jay and Baba before they make their way into the ocean. It would not be long now before they escape but they had little time before they sent an entire batallion of marines after them if they weren't sure that they weren't here anymore for their multiple acts of vandalism could be seen as extreme acts of terrorism on top of their assaulting of high ranking members of the marines.

As the older of the two, but less experienced by far, lay on the side of the boat regaining some of his energy, he listened to what was going on, how Kuroda was getting drunk and slurring some of his speech and hiccupping as he spoke, and large events happening that he should probably have been watching and awe’ing at but was far to engulfed in his rest. Though he did focus on his captain leaving him a midst the marines, effectively left for dead if his stubbornness would allow for such a careless thing. Slowly he opened his eyes, and looked to Kuroda with a mischievous and humoured look even going as far as genuinely smiling at Kuroda, even as he barked some orders.

Taking in a deep lungful of sea air Jay shoved himself onto his feet and looked at Kuroda, his torn, tattered and stained jacket fluttering a bit in the wind as he looked at the clearly weakened ‘threat’ of the pirate, a simple thought of kicking him over the edge and leaving him in the water for the marines came to mind, but it didn’t get far as Jay smiled a big wide beaming grin that many used to know him for and said “Aye aye, Cap’. Home it is, just don’t die before I get the chance to kick your head in for your comments kid.” There was even a hint of a laugh as the large blacksmith took up his ordered seat and took an oar in each hand.

Previous pain began to flare as he began to row the boat, seemingly by himself at the start, and as his muscles were being warmed up from resting, and repairing once more, and from where he sat Jay said aloud “Also. If you expect me to die so damn easy, then you’d best spit in my face, it’s less insulting. I won’t die to some weak ass opponents that need to gang up and shoot a person, no honour! HAHA!” The belly laugh returned, but it instantly hurt him and threw him into a fit of coughing whilst causing him to double over and hold his core once more and realise his mistake, but slowly he was returning back to his old self, perhaps it was the clear air, the five seconds of real rest, or the idea of heading home once more that gave him this wind, but he was going to use it and enjoy it whilst he could. Looking forward to the ultimate short time goal of a feather bed and some silk sheets to spend the day in, this kept the smile on his face as he took up the oars again and began to row.
