Even as the ship sailed towards the distant island, the rainbow cloud that hung high over Gesso island was a colourful marker. It was really difficult to think that such a thing existed in nature, hanging high enough in the sky that the white clouds around it seemed almost dull. It was like looking upon a fluffy cotton candy treat that someone had gone to insane lengths to make. To Ritsuka, an idol that thrived on a colourful appearance and shows to make almost anyone feel colour in their hearts, it filled her with awe. "I kind of wish I could go up there with a bottle and catch a little rainbow cloud for my own." The idol mused from the railing of the ship. The sun was well on its way after an early sunrise, and it caused the sea to glitter with faint blues out towards Gesso island itself. And what a stark contrast it was. Like an unpainted figuring, the island and the towns on it were set out into the ocean almost to mock the colourfulness overhead. It was enough to make the girl frown a bit, she was more worried about the place being boring than much else. After all, it's not like she could change the island's nature. What she could do though, she mentioned to herself, standing a little straighter, was give them something to keep their minds off of the colourless surroundings. "It looks like there's white water too, Captain! Is that normal?" The idol called back to the ship's captain - she wasn't able to get her own ship sailing quite yet, so she had hitched a ride.

"Aye lass, happens all the time when there's a fresh coat on the island. It means you've got about three days until the next whitefall." The captain commented, steering the ship closer to the western side and the one dock and visitor's centre that existed. "They'll tell you plenty at the docks, you'll get some white clothes for the street and some of the currency they use around those parts." He added. The white island, as it got closer, started to show more and more shadows and detail. The white water that hit the ship looked like a foam at first, but it seemed like the waves were permanently a stark white. When the paint-like fluid started to wash on the deck, it really felt like Ritsuka was standing in the middle of an unfinished painting. "And if you don't mind me asking, are you sure you want to make landfall? It's not an easy island to make due on, and I'm sailing a shipment out right quick." The man asked, looking over the girl once more. She was dressed quite colourfully still, even though he had suggested otherwise.

"I have to go where I'm needed, and I'm needed here." The idol pointed out, flashing a fabulous smile. "Every island is different, and running from any one place isn't going to make any life better." She added, looking towards the dock as they approached it. The whitened wood was almost like a featureless birch. In a way, she felt like a cartoon character who was stepping out into a fresh scene. There was a clunking as the whitened hull of the ship tapped against the dock and a couple men came out to greet the ship's captain. Ropes were tossed back and forth, and soon Ritsuka had hopped from the railing right onto the dock. Her carry-on baggage was slung over her back, and she waved to the sailor with her free hand. "Thanks for the lift! Come and see a show sometime, okay?" She hollered out to him. The man looked up from his business for only a moment to give her a wave, then went back to the men at hand.

The 'visitor centre' looked a lot more like a little marketplace set up by some man's mansion. With fresh white everywhere like it was, Ritsuka had trouble telling the difference between the trees and the buildings themselves, but she could guess at the approximate size of the household. The docks weren't empty either, people coming and going from the centre, and she gracefully hopped her way away from the white water and through the crowd. The white water behind the white dock was a little disconcerting, like she could mistake one for the other and fall right in. She had recently discovered a certain... Aversion to sea water, and wasn't quite in the mood to force herself into a swim. Set dead in the middle of the marketplace was a large sign, shielded by the rain and painted in pale browns, was a sign directing visitors into the building for information. At the very least, it seemed that most people were headed inside if anywhere. It was only as she passed closer to the entrance that she noticed what other people were wearing - it was like a field of white people moving around white walls. Skin tones varied, of course, she even saw a couple Fishmen walking around and making the place naturally more colourful, but the clothes were stark white. The visiting workers who avoided were offloading gear also kept to browns and blacks.

Ritsuka hadn't thought too much about what she was going to wear, but it did stand out. As much as a blade of grass on a sheet of paper, that was. Her blonde hair was held up by a green leaf barrette, and the same design was sitting on her belt. It was one of her 'spring wear' outfits, and it showed. She felt like she was blooming out of the colourlessness. While standing out was what she did, the attention it was getting her was far different from the praise her recognition had earned on Ninkashu. Some people seemed interested, some seemed jealous, but mostly they were all drawn to her naturally. It was an odd combination of gazes. Ritsuka escaped inside, finding posters set up to explain various parts of the economy and pointing people to trade in their beli for paint, and their paint and colourful items for beli. What really interested the girl was the maps that pointed out some of the sights - there was a tourist trade even here, after all. It was what she needed to figure out where she had to go for her purpose here. That is to say, for her concert.

Andreas scowled as he stared out towards the ocean from the docks of Gesso Island. There was nothing but blue as far as the eye can see. The monochrome setting was killer on the eyes after a certain point. He let out a grunt before he started to let his eyes wander back towards the shore. Without any hint of color mixing, the water turned from a dark blue to white. He furrowed his brow even further as his eyes trailed along the ocean towards the shore. The sand was white, and as the white water washed over it, it began to look something similar to wet paper. This was far worse than staring out at the ocean.

He rolled his neck a bit, a series of loud cracks filling the air as he did so, and leaned back in his chair. He was currently just sitting around Gesso Island as he waited for something to happen. Previously, he had come to the island just as a pit stop to resupply and rest for a bit. After being draped in white clothing and given the strange capital of the island, he found that he could make quite the profit from a bit of trading.

So for the past several weeks he had been trading his way up for commodities that would sell nicely outside of the island, but went for a fairly cheap price on the island. Thanks to his relatively low bounty, he was able to go about his ways without having any issues with marines or bounty hunters. To them he was just a small timer who was not worth the effort. It annoyed him a little that nobody thought of him as a threat, but he knew that he could crush them if they even bothered.

Now, he was just waiting for something new to come. He had heard about the spread of some new priceless addition to the island coming over. He never really paid much mind to the advertising or all the hype coming from it, so he had no idea what or who it was. Whatever or whoever it was, he was sure that it would bring some new challenges for him to beat down.

A sly grin slowly began grow on his face as the thought of the possible fight that might be in store. It had been a long while since anybody had bothered challenging him, or he had found anybody worth challenging, so he was secretly aching for some excitement. But for now, until that challenge rose up, he was left nothing but a mere trader, hoping to make a pretty penny.

As he was sitting by the docks, something came into his vision that was like a new tree had sprouted out of nowhere, and it was almost a sight for sore eyes. He watched as the citizens and tourists of the islands began to look towards her. It seemed that all eyes on the island for a brief moment were focusing on her. He frowned at the thought that she seemed to thrive and flourish from the extra attention; the plant that she was seemed to grow more and more with every pair of eyes.

‘What an attention whore.’ He thought before giving a slight smirk. Although he had negative thoughts towards the girl, he still could not help but be drawn to her. She had a beauty about her, and she looked to be right around his age group. His face began to heat up as he watched her, and he looked away, embarrassed that he would succumb to such a feeling. As much as he tried not to, he could not help but shoot another glance at her, and another. Finally, he shot yet another glance from the corner of his eyes, and his eyes widened. Although her looks definitely played a part in the attention he was giving her, there was something else about her that led his eyes to betray him. She had a presence about her, and a strong one at that.

Andreas felt his heart beat begin to increase at another thought of some competition, and he began to wonder if he would be able to contain himself. He kept on staring at her from the corner of his eyes and watched her disappear away from the crowds, and felt his heart drop a little. He needed to see if his suspicions about her strength were correct. Although starting an all out brawl in the middle of town could be a little dangerous. Maybe he could lead her away…

Without a moment to spare, Andreas hopped up from his seat and made a beeline straight towards her. He saw she was looking at the maps, and a quick thought popped into his head. “Umm, excuse me?” he said politely as he approached her from behind. “You seem to be looking for something, I’m pretty familiar with the island, I could show you around, if you want?” he said as politely as possible. It still sounded a little hostile, and his naturally angry looking face just made it that much worse. But for Andreas, it was a brand new accomplishment.

Ritsuka closely investigated her options. She needed to make it to the site for her concert before it got too late. Then again, she might have arrived a day ahead of schedule, she was pretty unsure of how time zones worked in the Grand Line. Her host, a Mister Vivid, was planning to hold her concert right on the east end of Turpin town, the main capitol of the island. From the looks of it, there was a large or something just south of where she'd be performing. Which caused her to wonder a few things. "If everything's white out there.. How am I supposed to tell anything apart?" She asked herself, looking sideways to some of the rest of the details of the island's economy. Colour and paint played a big role, and would explain why she was the centre of attention earlier.

"I'll have to buy some paint I guess... Though I certainly hope that I'm not going to be paid in paint." The idol thought to herself, sinking deeper into focus as she did so. "I had better get some local clothing too. I don't want to insult the locals or something. Hm, but what do I do? I don't want to buy a new outfit or change clothes. Should I get a coat? Maybe something to pull over me..." She was trying to see what they had displayed over by the sales counter. There was plenty of paint tubes, and a few articles of clothing within view. "Ah! A cape! Perfect, I'll just throw it over my shoulders and cloak myself with it and I'll look a hundred times better. I won't even have to mess with my current outfit." Ritsuka continued to think to herself. Somewhat lost in thought she stepped back from the map and almost ran into someone behind her. She spun around at the last minute and came face to face with a muscular young man a couple inches taller than her. "Oh! Sorry!" She apologized with a perfect smile, gracefully hopping back from him.

It seemed that the two of them had spoken at almost the same moment, because she heard the lingering sound of his voice in her ears. She let out a small little laugh, then motioned for him to continue. He certainly seemed more prepared for it. "Are you really?" She asked in reply to him, sounding excited and relived. "That's such good news! Here I was just wondering to myself how I'd go about finding my way through the island." Ritsuka explained, looking a little on the sheepish side. "I'm pretty sure it's obvious I'm not from around here. I'm just visiting for a concert." The girl continued, motioning to her dress as further proof that she wasn't ready for the white-wearing masses. "Oh. It's my concert, I mean." She added with one of the poster poses she was well known for. The young man didn't seem to have much of a reaction to her from behind, so maybe she was getting popular enough to get recognized from the front. "I'm Ritsuka." She said, offering a hand to him regardless of recognition.

"Anyway!" She stated sharply, looking Andreas over and nodding to him. "I have to visit the east side of Turpintown. I think that's the opposite side of the island from the visitor dock here." She explained, not actually looking the least bit helpless. She actually seemed kind of excited by the new region and the thought of her cape. "At least according to that map." The girl added. "Do you know of a Mr. Vivid?" She wondered to Andreas aloud, letting the question hang for a moment. The name would no doubt be familiar to someone in the island's colour trade. If there was one person who could give Aquamarine a run for his money - literally - it was Vivid. The man was known to covet the strongest and brightest colours, and would often compete with Aquamarine as of late. Most of the rumours about that rare new thing coming inland was linked to Vivid's name, but the man himself hadn't commented on it at all. "He's the man I'm supposed to be meeting."

Ritsuka took another quiet moment to blatantly look Andreas over once more. "So then, like I said, I'm going to need a bit of help." She explained, putting her hands onto her hips. "I don't need a body guard or anything, but I think you'd do in a pinch. I'm just asking for a tour guide to get me across town." The girl continued, looking back to the map. "Though..." She started again, turning back to Andreas. "Though I don't exactly know when the concert is supposed to be. So I might have some free time." The young idol told him. "So if I have the time, want to play tour guide for the day?" She asked him. Her earlier thoughts came flooding back though. "Ah, I need to pick up some local clothes and paint too. Think I'd look good in a cloak or cape?" Ritsuka said, turning to show him her back and looking at him over her shoulder.

Andreas looked at Ritsuka with a blank stare for a bit as he tried to figure out what the girl was doing. He cocked his head to the side a bit in confusion when she struck a pose. He really had no idea what she was doing, although the people around him seemed to be quite awestruck by the pose. Perhaps she was some type of popular model. ‘I have no idea what she’s doing… I should probably just say something to make her happy.’ He thought to himself as a small grin grew on his face. “Oh so you’re the one everyone’s been talking about. How... cool.” He half lied. He felt he had seen the girl somewhere before, but he could not muster up the initiative to search for whatever the source may be. According to her, she was some type of musician. He felt he would just have to go along with it for the time being.

He grasped her hand when she extended it and he gripped her hand firmly. “My name is Andreas.” He said as he mustered up the nicest smile he could. He squeezed her hand a little harder to get a good feel for her. He was trying to gauge her strength from the grasp, but it felt like nothing but a dainty handshake. ‘Maybe she’s just a normal girl…’ he sadly thought, a sudden sense of dread came over him at the realization that he might have picked out the wrong girl from the crowd. Maybe it was the person behind her? He would never know. With a wistful sigh he put on a smile and prepared to answer her questions.

“Oh, Turpin Town is in the middle of the island.” Andreas began to say before looking her over. “Yeah, we’ll need to get you some white clothing before heading out…” he said as he pointed towards his own clothing. He looked like a Hawaiian tourist that fell inside a white paint bucket, save for his shirt was unbuttoned with another plain white tee beneath. “Or else you might get mugged, or somethin'.” He said without chuckling, making his attempt at a joke seem all too serious.

“Mr. Vivid?” he said questioningly. He had surely heard of the name. The man was heavily connected to whatever was coming into town. He nodded slowly with a blank face and then shook his head really quick. “Yeah I know of him. Rich guy. I can take you to him.” He said while nodding his head firmly, closing his eyes in confidence as he did so.

As much as Andreas was trying to seem friendly, it still looked odd to all those around him. His facial expression ranged from stoic to angry throughout the entire time talking to her, so he was hoping that she did not find him creepy. He tried to put smiles in here and there, but he was still finding it a little hard. He furrowed his brow a bit until Ritsuka gave a quick look over the shoulder.

He kept his usual stoic expression, but a blush slowly began to form on his face. “Y-yeah…” he said before realizing that he did not answer her question. “Umm… Cloak would be good to cover you up, if you’re planning on wearing that… get up.” He said, not realizing that he could potentially be insulting her fashion sense. “But I think you’d be better off just getting a white dress or somethin’.” He began to say before looking over the price tags. “Umm, hey, I’ll pay for your clothes and play tour guide or whatever. But I’m going to need a favor later on… I don’t know what it is yet, though.” He said, having the big fight in mind. He figured he might as well go about fighting the girl. He also knew quite a bit of traders among the island, so he could get a good price through haggling and intimidation.

Without waiting for a reply, Andreas walked over to one of the cashiers and started talking to him. He pointed towards Ritsuka and then pointed back at him, holding up a balled fist after the cashier seemed to disagree with whatever he was saying. The cashier quickly waved his hands in the air and motioned for Ritsuka to come over. Andreas returned to Ritsuka with a vile grin on, letting out a small chuckle. “Looks like my buddy says whatever you want is on the house. I’ll handle whatever paint stuff you need, just be sure to follow through with that promise, okay?” he said before extending his hand out to the girl. “So, where do you want to head first?” he asked, not even realizing everything he had just did and everything about him screamed him out to be nothing more than some weirdo or some type of thug.

Ritsuka was pretty pleased with her conversation with Andreas. He seemed a little on the silly side, his expressions didn't match what he was saying at all sometimes but he still didn't actually threaten her at all. She could have sworn that if he was a professional con-man or an actual tour guide he'd probably be a bit more used to speaking with people. The fact he wasn't suggested he was either a really bad con-man or just an ordinary guy who thought he could get something for showing her around. "Though with an island with so many tourists, I'm sure he's had opportunities before." She pointed out to herself. At least he had a strong handshake, and seemed pretty confident in his ability to show her around the town and to her destination. "You don't have to worry." She told him after looking over her shoulder. "I'm not going to be much of a handful." Ritsuka pointed out, trying to lower his stress levels a bit.

She looked herself over when he talked a bit more about her clothing. It seemed that white clothing really was the norm. She couldn't give up her outfit just in the name of a bit of safety. "I'll be fine if any muggers try anything." Ritsuka told Andreas confidently. "I really just want to fit in a little bit more. Besides, a whole new dress would mean changing and walking out of here. I need what I have for the show." The girl explained somewhat cryptically. She was checking out her own sandals when the boy replied to her a bit more. "Pay for everything? No no, you really don't have to." She told him, waving to show she was serious. "I can afford a cape or something..." She was cut off when he continued, asking her for a favour in the future. The idol was prepared to ask what, when he added that he didn't even know what he wanted to ask for. "A favour?" She questioned him, sounding unsure. "Please don't be something weird or dirty or... Weird." The girl said to herself in honest concern. "How about... How about I give you a tentative 'yes' right now, depending on what you ask? I can't promise to do anything." She pointed out. "But I can at least pay you back for whatever you do." Ritsuka said with a nod.

While Ritsuka had been talking, it seemed that Andreas was already on the move and headed over to the nearby cashier. She frowned a little at the exchange that seemed to be happening. She was more than capable of picking up some paint and buying herself a cloak on top of that. Passing a sidelong glance over some of the clothing, she decided to leave him to his, uh, 'work'. A couple of the capes seemed like a perfect fit for her size, and a little experimenting passed the moments until Andreas seemed to be motioning for her to come over to him. Her frowned worsened a little at what he was saying, a real contrast to the look of strange pride that seemed to be pasted on his own. "Andreas-" Ritsuka chided, her tone suggesting they had known one another a lot longer. She went so far as to smack his hand to the side with a quick but painless hit. "I want to fit in here on Gesso Island, but that doesn't mean I want to take part in it like this." She said with a mature tone in her voice. It was instantly wiped away with a smile that showed no traces of anger. She seemed to be talking down to him like you would a naughty child, but there was an earnestness in her voice that eliminated the concern she was doing so to be insulting. "I told you that I could pay for a cape, and I will. Now, you can go and tell your friend that I appreciate his offer, but I can't be taking gifts." The idol said, pointing to the still concerned cashier. She wouldn't hear another word on the matter, and rolling her luggage up to the rack again she continued to pick out the cape that she wanted.

The first one wasn't quite what she liked, a little too heroic for her tastes. She put it back on the rack and looked to Andreas for any expression that gave away his opinion, not actually asking for him to say anything. After going through maybe three or four styles that all looked almost similar due to their stark whiteness, she finally found on that draped over her shoulders and then hung down into a cloak. A simple white clasp allowed her to close it up to hide all of her colourful clothing, leaving only her hair accessories as a visible point of colour. She didn't keep it snapped up all the way to give some freedom of movement and kept the hood down. With it up, Ritsuka looked like she was running from her abusive royal father - in a snowstorm - or something. Very regal. "What do you think?" She asked, finally having looked at herself in the mirror long enough. She gave a spin for Andreas, her fluttering only allowing a glimpse of the smooth green of her clothing beneath. "Mm, I like it." The girl asserted. Going over to the cashier, she easily produced enough beli for the cloak and completed the transaction as easily as she could. "Now then." Ritsuka said to Andreas, looking him in the eyes again. "You said you'd take care of all the paint currency matters? I'll trust you on that. Shall we head to Mr. Vivid's place then? I'm sure there's a stage prepared." The idol said, getting a little distracted by her new clothing just about every sentence. She enjoyed the spinning quite a bit. When she looked up on her final line at Andreas, she seemed prepared to follow him out into the streets and on their way.

Andreas had no idea why, but he felt like he had just done something wrong. He could not really tell what it was, but it left him feeling a little guilty. Apparently getting someone free stuff just was not considered a good thing anymore. 'This girl is crazy... I use my negotiating skills to get talked down to like this? I should just kick her ass now...' he thought as he let out a sigh. It would be very bad for a fight to break out here, as angry as he was feeling at the girl. He felt like he was constantly being talked down to by her, like he was some sort of butler or something.

He watched her as she surveyed new clothes and he looked back to the cashier. "So um, apparently, we're good... Sorry for the uh, fist." he said, apologizing the best that he could. He turned back towards Ritsuka and stared at her as she seemed excited over her new piece of clothing. "Umm." he began to try and think of what to say when she asked him what he thought. "It looks... white." he said, not really knowing how to compliment her. Although he felt his words went unheard as Ritsuka was very stuck in her own world of spinning and capes and stuff.

"Yeah, I can take care of paint stuff. Just let me stop by my hotel first." he said, creating an even creepier look for him, but he just led the way while continuously motioning for her to follow him. He remained silent for a majority of the walk, although it was a very short one. He pointed out several buildings along the way, saying which housed who, which store sold what, and so on and so forth. He also explained the general economy of the island to her in simplistic terms that a guy named Kooma could not even think of how to explain.

Once they reached a building that looked the same as the rest. It had a sign sticking out, but it was covered in white paint. "This is the inn." he stated simply, pointing to the sign. On closer inspection, there were three letters that were indented in the sign, but they were covered in white so it was a bit harder to see. The most notable feature outside of the inn was a rather small hole by the door, that looked as if someone had taken a larger than average drill bit and burrowed their way in. Andreas felt the small hole and nodded. "Yeah, this one is the inn." he quickly stated, remaining ominous about the strange form of identification that he had made to tell the buildings apart. If one were to observe several of the main buildings on the island, there were holes of varying numbers and sizes somewhere on the front of the building. "Okay, please wait a bit, I need to go get something." he said before disappearing inside of the building.

While inside, Andreas walked towards his room on the first story and opened up the door. He walked towards the bed and grabbed it with one hand. He grunted a bit as he flipped it over with general ease, and there was a trap door with a padlock on it. He proceeded to open it up with a key from his pocket, and the door seemed to lead to a special safe. Andreas had ordered a special merchant's room previously, paying a bit extra in order to get a room where he could ensure that all of his valuables would be safe. Within was a variety of several colorful commodities that he had gathered while trading, and was waiting to trade it once he got off the island. Aligned on a shelf on one of the walls was a wide variety of small colorful paint tubes. He grabbed quite a few and put them inside a backpack and slung it over his shoulders. He closed up everything and ensured the padlock was back on, and put the bed back over, and headed back outside.

"Hey, I got you your paint, stuff. It should last you for however long you're here." he said as he nodded towards the backpack. "Heads up." he said before he a few of the more vibrant colors and threw them towards her. "Those will last you for the day, I'll hang onto the rest. Since this is, well, mine." he said awkwardly before he waited a few moments and then started walking. "C'mon, let's head over towards Turpin Town." he said as he nodded and began making his way over towards the path to Turpin Town.

"Mhm, it certainly is white." Ritsuka replied. She still seemed to be getting the better of her tour guide as it was, and it was written on his face. It wasn't really a bad thing, but deep down it felt a little unusual. Either he hadn't picked up on who she was or she wasn't popular enough to have her name spread over the Grand Line. Back home talking to someone like this - male or female - would be almost impossible. It was... Kinda nice. She felt like teasing him a little more, but business came first. There was something in his attitude though, she couldn't quite put her finger on it but he wanted something from her. Probably about the 'favour' he wanted to ask her about. He wasn't being physically pushy, so she kind of doubted that the young man was coming onto her that way, but something was still amiss. She ignored it, however. If he was willing to play tour guide and get her where she needed to go, she could handle whatever came from it on her own. "No problem, we can make a stop." She said, following after Andreas as he left through the exit of the shop.

The small dock city was actually a lot larger than Ritsuka had expected. It seemed like a lot of the city's wider trade with the outside world was controlled within the small area. It probably saved a lot of unpleasantness for the locals within the main city of Turpintown. After all, the fewer visitors who passed through the town, the easier it was to keep things colourless and above all safe. The idol seemed pretty interested in the more notable individuals, and even in some of the businesses. She was about as far from a merchant as one could be, but that didn't stop her from caring about the little things that were going on. Andreas didn't point out every building along their path though, and Ritsuka's eyes were drawn to a building in the distance. There seemed to be a particularly large house that was overlooking much of the docks. She thought her eyes caught a single flash of neon pink, but then it was gone. The girl was left rubbing her eyes in disbelief, and by the time she went for a second glance they had already arrived at the inn.

Ritsuka looked carefully at the sign at the same time that Andreas did, trying to see the words carefully carved into it. It probably made it hard to find anything properly. Even street signs would never survive a single rainfall, and a splash of the white primer water would get under any covering attempting to stop it. It seemed that there was some damage to the exterior of the inn though that Andreas recognized. The hole had been filled up with white paint, but its appearance was far more stark than the lettering. Still, to tell buildings based on the side or placement of a hole was definitely something strange indeed. She was still looking over the hole when Andreas told her he was headed in. "Hm?" The girl asked, perking up to see him almost passed through the front door. "Oh! Oh yeah, of course. Go get your things. I'll wait here." She said, patting the wall to make sure that it was dry - a strange concern she didn't have previously, and wouldn't need to since her clothing was already white. Assured that it was safe, she leaned against the exterior wall of the inn and looked around.

The view was, well, boring. It was kind of magical to her still that the place was so white. She imagined that a city of eternal winter would look only half as snowy as this place. Her kind kind of drifted to the idea of the white primer cloud snowing in the winter, but this place had been spray-painted so much over the years that she doubted that was even a possibility. She could see there were more holes around the buildings, and it continued to give her pause. Maybe it was just another one of those things that she was better off not knowing too much about. The civilians who walked by paid her face less attention. The colour of her hair and on her accessories was far less than her entire outfit, so she was probably looking like far less of an anomaly. She could tell that there was someone looking more carefully at her, and her own innocent gaze passed over a group of three men who were leaning against a building in the distance. Their faces were covered with white and they were wearing white and leaning against a white building, but she still caught sight of the dark eyeholes in their masks. They seemed to be looking over Ritsuka, checking for signs of colour. It wasn't windy, but there was enough to push the bottom of her cape around, revealing brightly coloured shoes.

"Oh? Welcome back." The girl said, perking up when Andreas had come back. She had to release her baggage, but caught the paint tubes without too much trouble. She turned the little bit of vibrant paint around in her hand and then opened her cape a little so she could slide it into an inner pocket. By the time the thought had struck her to look out for that group of men, they were already gone. Possibly scared off by Andreas, possibly off to plot something. Ritsuka hadn't heard anything about the Kolor Kidnapping Klan, but she probably would have been a lot more concerned about her stalkers if she had. "Thank you, Andreas." The young idol said with a bright, picture-perfect smile. She didn't seem to have a concern in the world. Once their little moment was over though, she grabbed her luggage and started wheeling it again. "Alright! Lead the way then. I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of this island looks!" She commented excitedly.

Andreas stared at Ritsuka as she smiled at him with his normal blank stare. Once again he felt his face began to heat up and quickly left before she could see anything. 'This is unfair.' he thought as he continued to walk. He quickly looked behind him back towards Ritsuka and a small blush began to form on his face. "Um..." he tried to think of something to say as he kept looking her way. He looked to the corner of his eyes as he fumbled around the mess in his brain to find something semi-relevant. "Oh, uh-" he cut himself short as his eyes suddenly went wide and he grabbed Ritsuka by the shoulder and pulled her behind him. He saw several masked individuals peaking around from corners, and they disappeared into an alleyway as soon as Andreas spotted them. "I'll be right back. I uh, forgot something, agian." he said as he took off in a mad after the gang.

As soon as he turned the corner he saw the individuals. His eyes widened in excitement as he gave them a sadistic smile. They all seemed to become discouraged and instantly took off at the sight of his insanity. He took off at full speed and managed to catch up to one of them after chasing them down several alleys, tackling him to the ground. "Gary!" one of them shouted out as both of the men stopped to go and save their friend.

Andreas reacted quickly and began to spin his hand, forming a drill. "Stop, or else your friend gets a new hole in his head." he said as he held his hand up to the man's forehead. Both of the men stopped and hesitated as Andreas began to slow down his spin. "Listen man, we weren't gonna rob you or the girl, or anything, we just-" "You weren't going to? What the hell am I chasing you down for, then?" Andreas replied angrily, leaving the members in shock.

"I'm going to need you to do whatever the hell you were going to do, just wait until we're on our way to Turpin, got it?" he asked, causing much confusion among the gang. "Got it?!" he shouted once more, his hand started to spin once more. They all nodded in unison, and a grin grew on his face. "Alright, good. You do what I tell you, and things go nice. You don't, I'll hunt down your entire fuckin' gang." he threatened them before getting up and dusting himself off. The man beneath him scurried away and Andreas scoffed as they ran. 'They better show up...' he thought as he watched them run away.

In a few moments he ran back to Ritsuka, "Uh, thanks for waiting. Just needed to go do stuff." he said while nodding, quickly making his way back towards the path to Turpin Town. Along the way he explained more things to Ritsuka about the island, pointing out people and "landmarks" along the way. He offered to take her to see them, but he just said that they were only "another white part of the island."

As they continued down the path, they suddenly came into a clearing with surrounded by bushes and trees. It all just screamed ambush. And sure enough, several members of the Kolor Kidnapping Klan popped out of nowhere, or somewhere, they blended in really well. This time, rather than just three, there were about ten of the members. Andreas raised an eyebrow at this, and figured they gathered more forces to potentially deal with him. But if his intuition was right, this would be a great test to see if Ritsuka was amazing like he thought she was.

"Ritsuka, stand back. I'll take care of these assholes." he said as he held his hand to the side to warn her not to do anything. Without a moment's hesitation, he dashed towards them. As he cocked back his fist to deal the first blow to one of the members, he tripped and fell over himself. "Oh no, I tripped." he said with a blank expression, his acting flawlessly fooling the gang. Soon enough they ganged up on him and held him down with three men as they prepared to assault Ritsuka. "Oh no. They're too strong. Ritsuka, run!" he shouted, although his face did not convene his acting at all. "Actually, uh. Maybe you should fight them, and save me. Or something." he mumbled underneath his breath, throwing away his pride once again for the sake of testing Ritsuka's strength.

One of the members holding him down told him to shut up, and slammed his head into the dirt. Andreas gritted his teeth in anger as he kissed the floor. Although the gang's strength was nothing to be trifled with, Andreas could easily overpower all of the mooks easily. But he barely suppressed his anger and barely moved his head so he could watch Ritsuka to see her fighting prowess that he hoped she had.

"A-ah? What?" Ritsuka said, watching as Andreas suddenly walked past her and towards the alleyway in the distance. It was kind of strange for him to suddenly run off just as he had gotten back. Particularly since they had seemed all prepared to travel. "Okay!" She called after him, leaning a little bit to try and see where he was going or what he was after. "Get back soon." She added, looking around a little awkwardly. She had been all ready to go and then suddenly this. She rubbed her throat a bit to clear it so she wouldn't have to cough or do anything of the sort. "Hm. What could he have been after?" She asked herself, leaning over the handle of her luggage and rocking slightly. "Maybe it has something to do with those men in masks. Maybe he saw them? Or they saw him." She imagined, beginning to hum a gentle tune to herself. "Maybe he is being something of a bodyguard, protecting me from them." She continued, suddenly pausing in her little tune. She moved back a few notes, motioning them with her finger as she thought her way through it. Finally seeming to find something she liked, she continued humming.

While she was waiting and busy song-making, she started to go through the top of her luggage. The strangest thing about what she was carrying was the tube that was long enough to stand out of the bag itself. It looked about the size of an umbrella, but Ritsuka carefully went around it and pulled out a small notebook. She scribbled a few notes down on one of the pages, and then tried humming a bit more before continuing the writing. Satisfied, she mumbled a few lyrics and closed the book, storing it back away inside. The idol didn't have enough time to get much further work done before Andreas came jogging back. "No problem. Alright then, all prepared. Let's go!" She repeated the same enthusiasm she had the first time, and walked after Andreas without a single worry on her mind. Her luggage she dragged behind her, looking back and forth.

As they passed out of the dock area and started the actual walk towards Turpintown, Ritsuka was starting to feel a little... Uncomfortable. Not with Andreas, no, but with the island itself. There was something about the strangely pristine white buildings that was sort of magical, but they weren't carved from marble or anything. They were just all painted white with primer, and had been every three days for a hundred years. That alone might have been something she could get used to, she didn't crave colour from buildings, but it was everything else. Flowers left on window sills were white as blank paper, the little blades of grass that grew up between the cracks in the stonework were as pale as snow. When she saw the fields, just that massive expanse of white, she felt more like she was on a barren salt flat than a real island. The way the sun reflected off the land was unnatural, she feared some degree of snow blindness might even set in on her. She wanted to bring some colour of things, honestly she did. She couldn't go about changing the entire island - oh boy, could she never. A culture was a sacred thing, and Deculture wasn't for everyone. These people had figured out how to live here, they didn't need to be told to change. This was, she realised, not a situation like her home where oppression could be fought back against. It was a force of nature changing this place. It made her want to... Well, it made her want to sing some spirit back in the souls of the people.

During the walk, even as she was thinking, Ritsuka still showed interest and asked questions. Andreas didn't seem to interested in showing her around, but then again the tour was best kept for after she had gone to the concert grounds. She was kind of surprised to have their walk interrupted when the sudden group of gang members jumped out at them. She instantly recognized then as wearing the same masks as the men who had been watching her. It was kind of heroic that Andreas was willing to stand in front of her and go fight. "Okay." She said to him assuredly. "I can take care of myself though, so don't do anything risky, okay?" She added to him as he ran off, wound up his first punch and... Fell. "Ah. Tour guide, right. Not body guard." She reminded herself. Andreas certainly seemed ready to give up, but the gang didn't actually look all that strong to her. Maybe it was just a bit of bad luck.

"It's okay Andreas! I'll help you!" She told him, leaning back on her luggage as three of the men approached her. The surroundings reminded her a lot of the events of her last concert, except those thugs were all Marines. The memory caused a weird beating in her chest, and she felt something changing in her a little bit. "No. Not now." She chided under her breath, the feeling starting to pass. Ritsuka reached into the tube on her luggage and undid the clasp within, suddenly flying out with a clear green crystal of some kind. Nope, it was definitely a sword. The light that filtered through it caused a green shadow to stretch over the white ground around them. "Have at you!" She called out, suddenly flashing across the distance to the first of the three men. She neatly delivered a piercing jab into his sword arm, moving in with her other hand to shove him off the blade. Her freed blade carved a path towards the other two, taking them both across the chest. As they fell back, she stung one of them in the thigh to damage his leg, and then returned to her original position with a jump backwards. The first of the gang members were left rolling in a pile in front of her, and not a single drop of blood had stained the perfect green of her diamond rapier.

Andreas watched Ritsuka from the sidelines as she prepared a weapon. His heart beat began to increase as he watched her fight. The form, the finesse, the power, the speed. The thought of it all began to drive him wild. He felt his heart beat going out of control as she dispatched of the three men with ease, and he still felt as if she had more to show off. A deep and dark blush formed on his cheeks, and he dug his face into the ground to hide it.

"H-holy crap. She's strong!" one of the men holding him down whispered. Andreas's ears perked up to listen to the conversation, although it was not very hard to do it. "Yeah... But we have this weakling as a bargaining. She seems like she wouldn't put this guy in danger." He began to grit his teeth, and his heart beat seemed to be going absolutely out of control. "Yeah, thank god we got so lucky this guy was weak," one of the men laughed nervously, hoping that using Andreas as a bargaining chip would work to their advantage. Suddenly, Andreas began to shake in rage. The men holding him down put much more force on him as he tried to stand up.

He clenched his fists in rage, and his muscles began to bulge. His veins began to throb as he slowly lifted up his head and looked at several of the other members of the gang who looked towards Ritsuka in fear, although a few noticed Andreas. He was wearing a look of pure rage on his face, and it looked like the three members were beginning to have a hard time holding him down. From afar, it looked like the three gang members were holding down a wild beast of some sort. Suddenly, the sound of a drill whirring began to fill the air as Andreas started to spin his forearm slowly, making the grip the gang members had on him that much harder to hold. The whirring became louder and louder as Andreas spun faster, until he finally unleashed himself from their grip.

With a loud roar of rage, he stood up with explosive force, a small whirlwind being released as he released some spin energy. The gang members were thrown several feet away, and all of them looked up to see some type of savage beast had just been released from his cage. As one of the members quickly fumbled around and prepared a knife in his jacket, he was met with a knee to the face from Andreas. Before the man could fly away, Andreas grabbed the back of his head and kneed him in the face once more, shattering the mask to reveal a rather pale man, who was knocked out cold.

He looked towards Ritsuka like a mix of an animal that had finally found its prey, and an animal in heat. This look was only for a brief second before he took a step towards her and was suddenly assaulted by the remaining members he had yet to dispatch of. With a quick scoff he put up his guard and readied himself for combat.

Ritsuka waved her blade around a little bit as a flourish, keeping an eye on the men she had downed and turning to look at the rest of them. They probably hadn't expected this kind of resistance, and it was written all over their faces. She moved the tip of her blade upwards and pointed it towards the face of another one of the masked men. "My name is Ritsuka Meiban of the Kodenshima Sword School. I will fight you all fairly, draw your weapons and prepare yourselves. But do not harm my friend Andreas there, or I will make sure that you pay for it." She threatened, waving her sword around to some of the other men to show them that she meant business. As she continued to explain herself and face off against the men - the ones standing all seemed a little wary of approaching her again - there was something dangerous brewed in Andreas' mind, it seemed.

One of the men drew out a sword very slowly and lowered it at Ritsuka, but the blade was shaking. They were used to taking out tourists, actual tourists, who had just shown up on the island for a visit or to sell some colourful wares. It was always good business. The girl in front of him was far more than he could handle, and the only thing worse was the boy they thought they had pinned down. Ritsuka could see how unsure he was, this level of fight was far different from the Marines she had battled only a short time ago. They had underestimated her, but they had learned quickly. Something was strange about the situation though. It felt like perhaps she was just being tested? Those were the kinds of things she was considering when Andreas suddenly burst up through the men who were holding him down, reckless and angry.

"Andreas!" Ritsuka exclaimed, having not given the strange whirling noises much consideration. The slamming of the men on the ground, the ones who had been sent flying that was, did bring her out of her staring contest with the other thugs. "I guess you... Got serious?" She questioned, feeling that perhaps his little trip had been a bit of bad luck that made him look a lot less impressive than he was. He was certainly able to fight, the girl was even a little surprised by his competence when he quickly delivered two attacks to one of the men. The brutality might have been a little on the extreme side, but she wasn't going to knock how someone else fought against criminals. Why, there had been this one swordsman back home who- "Andreas?" She asked, seeing that the boy was ignoring the men around him and continued to head towards her direction.

Ritsuka could, well, tell that something was up with the way he was acting. Like something of a berserker, she could feel the anger coming off of him. "Andreas?" She repeated, taking a step back. "You're acting a little weird. We should be fighting everyone else." The idol pointed out. Ideas started to flash through her mind of what could be going on. "Is he under someone else's control? Maybe there's some kind of drug they slipped him?" She tried, not finding anything that made a lot of sense. If someone that strong was targeting her through him, they would have sent more men or at least stronger ones. "Maybe there's an evil king in charge of the island who has a completely unexplained power to cause intense rage in people on the island... No, that doesn't sound right either." The idol wondered to herself. It didn't seem to matter, as pretty quickly the rest of the thugs all surrounded him and seemed ready to dog pile on him.

"I've got to..." Ritsuka said aloud, thinking to herself. "Help him... But how?" She asked herself, coming to a pretty obvious conclusion. If Andreas wasn't completely of himself, and the gang members were a few too many in number for her to safely take out with her just blade, then she needed to avoid the battle altogether. Which meant it was her time to shine. The idol took a deep breath, keeping the men a fair distance from her, and suddenly began to sing a deep and moving melody. "Aimo, aimo, ne-deru ru-she..." She began, her voice seeming to echo throughout the plains. The men in front of her, Andreas included, could feel an intense calm being caused by the sound of the woman's voice. The gang members weren't wound up enough to resist the effects, and they all started to slump where they stood, calmed down and almost listless. They seemed like they could be pushed over with little more than an aggressive puff of air. As Ritsuka's voice continued, the men started to smile. To them, their field of vision started to turn blue, enough that the white grasslands of Gesso seemed like an ocean of moving, mis-coloured grass blades. The idol hoped that her voice would reach Andreas and calm him down as well, though he was more than capable of resisting it than falling into a stupor like the men.

Andreas breathed heavily as the men surrounded him. He continued to stare at Ritsuka with wanting eyes until one of them stepped in front of him. The man was holding a sword, which worked to Andreas’s disadvantage considering he would not have enough time to slip on his gloves. But he could not comprehend something as stupid as sword versus flesh right now. He just needed a good taste of some more violence before he started thinking rationally again.

As the man prepared to attack him from behind, Andreas suddenly dashed forward towards the man with the sword. The man was shocked by his forward movements and thrust forward quickly in retaliation. Andreas slightly sidestepped quickly, letting the blade lightly cut his arm as he closed in. He flung his arm forward and clenched it into his body as he slammed the side of his body into the man, effectively tackling him. The man went hurdling several feet before Andreas closed the gap once more, this time lifting his leg high up into the air. With a quick spin of his foot to propel him forward on the ground, he brought his other leg down hard onto the top of the man's skull, slamming his face into the ground.

The whole time Andreas could swear that he heard Ritsuka calling out to him with a voice of genuine concern. Maybe she wanted him to stop beating them so she could have them to herself. He snarled at the idea and dashed towards the other man who had pinned him down. The man shakingly put up a guard, absolutely terrified after seeing what had happened to his comrades. Andreas let out a mighty roar of anger as he approached, swinging his left arm back and preparing to strike. He swung his arm forward with as much strength as he could muster, but stopped right before he struck the man's face.

"What?" he said aloud as he was suddenly brought out of his blind rage by the sound of a heavenly voice. He looked towards Ritsuka and saw that she was singing a lullaby of sorts. He cocked his head to the side and wondered why she would stop all of the fun for some singing. He shook his head quickly and then looked back to his opponent, who seemed to be having quite a hard time standing up. Andreas cocked his head once more as he waved his arms in front of the man's mask to see if he was okay. There was no fun in beating down upon an already beaten foe.

He quickly looked around to see that all of the men were entering a state similar to the one his opponent was in. Something was going on, although he could not exactly put his finger on it. He also felt like he was becoming sapped of some of his strength, although it was nothing too great that it would stop him from fighting. With a quick yawn, he turned back towards the man, only to see that he had fallen to the ground. He looked down at the man in anger and cursed under his breath. He quickly turned around to see that all of the men were now on the ground, passed out for some reason. "You gotta be shitin' me..." he said angrily as he quickly ran up towards Ritsuka.

He grabbed onto her shoulders and shook her a bit. "Hey, hey!" he exclaimed, obviously disappointed and angered by whatever she was doing. "What just happened?! Did you knock out all those guys on your own?!" he asked, a look of desperation in his eyes. He had been stopped from going on his rampage while he was directly in the middle of it, and he felt like he had missed out on some genuine fun. In fact, he felt like only one cut was not enough to leave a battle proudly wounded.

Although, he could not help but feel amazed at what Ritsuka had just done. She had taken out the whole entire gang with such amazing speed, that even he could not notice. Truly an amazing feat of strength. The fact that she did it while singing and seemingly staying in the same spot the entire time just further amazed him. Though, his amazement could not mask his disappointment.

He continued to hold onto her shoulders as he looked around, realizing that the fight was already over. He then let out a quick sigh, trying to regain his composure before he spoke again. "Ritsuka, I..." he began to say before realizing that he was still holding onto her. He quickly let go and turned around, crossing his arms and giving a quick pout. "Thanks for defeating those guys... Don't know if I could of done it without you." he said wistfully, still showing a bit of disappointment from what had just happened.

He did not feel like he should explain himself to her, as he thought that going into a rage was completely normal for most people. He gave yet another sigh before he ruffled his hair. He looked down at his cut and shrugged and then turned back to Ritsuka. "Alright, now that this is over. Let's get going again." he said nonchalantly, as if nothing had happened. Inside he was not feeling as sad from the fact that he did not get to fight the gang, but more upset that he had just shut down an opportunity to start up a fight with Ritsuka. For whatever reason, he held himself back, feeling as if there would be a better time and place to ask her for his favor.

Ritsuka had wrapped herself up in her song, so it was kind of a glaring change when she realised that Andreas as in her face and getting angry with her. Her song stopped and she stepped back, her movement starting off calm and graceful and ending in her usual style. "Wha-what?" She countered him, looking to the fallen men and then back to him. Given the difficult situation and the numbers they were faced off again, it just didn't make sense to draw out the fight longer than it needed to be. She swallowed back some of her fear and returned fire at Andreas with her usual confidence. "Yes I knocked them out." She told him, moving back towards him to stand his ground. "Even if we can fight them off, it doesn't mean they can't still hurt us. There's no point in a fight that it's important." The idol explained. Her voice could have easily moved up to a yell, or fallen back to a cool but superior tone. Instead, it was direct and spoken straight from the heart. That as actually what she believed.

Given that Ritsuka had stopped singing, the effect on the men passed as well. They started to slowly wake up out of their stupors, but with Andreas having calmed down and retreated they could pump in the adrenaline they needed to start up again. The rose, wary and wearily, and eyed the pair carefully. With Andreas considering what had just happened, it was Ritsuka that jumped forward at them. "And you bunch! What do you think you're doing?" She yelled at them, causing them to cow a little in the shock of being yelled at in such a way by a would-be victim tourist. "You should all be ashamed of yourselves! Get out of here. Take your friends and get out of here." She told them, waving her shimmering green sword towards the downed men from earlier. They seemed to have almost fallen asleep due to the earlier song. "Come on!" She added, the men keeping their distance but retrieving their friends and running back from where they had leapt from. The fear was in their eyes, but there was plenty of confusion there as well. Who the heck was this girl and what was she trying to pull?

"Don't worry about it, Andreas." Ritsuka told the boy in reply to his thankful attitude. It was something of a turnaround, but she felt like there was a lot of other feelings going on that she wasn't quite willing to investigate. Her new companion seemed to be rather strange in a lot of ways, and she wasn't going to push for anything more out of him than he was willing to say. At least not right now. "I'm not as weak as you might expect. I've had to do plenty of fighting." She explained, going to her luggage. She drew out a matching sheath to her blade and safely stowed it away, returning both to a tube. "Oh, and don't think I let them go because I condone their actions. I just could deal with turning them into Marines." She told him, looking a little sheepish. "I'm probably a little wanted myself." The girl commented, already turning her back on the situation and walking towards Turpintown. "Onwards!" She said, dragging her luggage behind her again.

The rest of the walk into Turpintown was uneventful. The long white fields were by no means anything that Ritsuka cared much about, but she was still looking around in sheer awe of the white expanse. Particularly after a fresh rain, it was amazing to think that the things could get any less colourless. When the distant white shapes started to take on the shape of buildings, they knew that they were approaching the town proper. It was enough to get Ritsuka actually excited, though she subtly clipped her cloak together a little tighter so that they would have any more run-ins in a more public location. The grounds owned by Mr. Vivid were on the opposite side of town, but with the gangsters dealt with and Ritsuka not flashing with colours, they were probably in for a simple walk through.

Andreas remained silent for a majority of the rest of the walk. He felt like what had just happened made it a little hard to talk. The only times he did open his mouth were to either yawn, or point out other landscapes that would have gone unnoticed due to the blending of the environment. As they began to see the town in the distance, Andreas finally opened his mouth to speak. "Yup, there it is." he stated. The town was rather lackluster, but there was a certain aura about it that made it feel different from the rest of the island.

He took a few more steps before looking over his shoulder to Ritsuka. "Hey." he stated very simply, his face changing from an angry stoic to less of an angry stoic. Almost like he was sincere and innocent looking for a bit. "So, yeah." he said, not realizing that he was making things a little awkward. He was trying to gather the words in his head. The last person who he talked normally to was Lina, and she was a long ways away. "Things got pretty violent back there... You're pretty strong." he complimented her.

"The way you moved out there really caught my attention." he gave yet another oblivious statement. In his mind he felt as though her movements were of a well refined fighter, although the way he said it could potentially come off wrong. "And your voice was really nice, it went along well with the stabbing and stuff." he continued to give her strange and random compliments. He did not want to compliment her amazing speed at dispatching them, because he felt like she could use that against him in their future fight.

As he continued to walk, he grew silent for a bit. The town was coming closer and closer. Maybe now was the time to pop the big question. "Ever since I saw you, Ritsuka... I felt there was something special about you. Something other girls didn't have." he began to say, drifting off into a dreamy like voice. "The more that I talked to you, I kind of began to doubt it." he revealed his doubts of her strength. He was really putting his entire heart into this speech. "But after that fight, I knew that you were the one." he continued, his voice slowly drifting into a silent mumble. He stopped and shuffled his feet a bit before turning around. "Ritsuka... I-"

Andreas cut himself off as he looked right behind Ritsuka and saw a rather large blank white sign. He raised an eyebrow and turned around and finally realized that they had arrived at Turpin Town. During his heartfelt moment with the girl, he had completely lost his sense of time and direction, eventually ending up at the town. "Oh, hey look. We're here." he said as he looked up towards several tall white buildings. He looked around and saw several people walking around, and it was far too crowded to start any sort of proper challenge here. He let out a heavy sigh before turning to Ritsuka once more, looking rather annoyed. "C'mon, let's go get to Mr. Vivid. His house is hard to miss." he said, motioning for the girl to follow after him.

"Hm?" Was the first thing that Ritsuka said in reply to the boy as he prepared to start stumbling over his words. They had gone quite a while without talking, and it had finally come to the point where she wondered if she was ever going to hear Andreas talk again. She gave him an eager expression when he seemed unsure what to say to her, wishing she could openly goad him into further conversation. When he finally just complimented her on her fighting, she let out a bit of a chuckle. Of course, after a display like that people probably would mention her swordsmanship first. A girl like her walking around with a sword and cutting up thieves was kind of a rare thing, she expected. Well, not that rare with all the pirate running around, but still a little on the strange side. "Well yeah, about that..." She started, getting cut off as Andreas continued to compliment her.

"Well, I'm glad you liked the singing. It's, well, kind of what I do." Ritsuka said with an awkward laugh. It didn't seem like Andreas had realised that she was an actual idol singer yet. Or maybe he had and thought that was just the best way to compliment her. She gave a smile to him as he mentioned the stabbing and everything. "I feel like it wouldn't be right to explain why I sing and fight at the same time, or what it means to me... This is actually kind of awkward now that I think about it." She thought to herself, catching up to him a little. "Well I think you were really manly as well, Andreas." She told him. "I know that you got a little, uh, tripped up there though. It happens to the best of us." She said to him kindly. "When you got back up though you were throwing guys around and kicking them like it was no one's business. I'm sure that you could have beaten all of those guys up by yourself." The idol complimented him, trying not to sound too forward.

The two walked in silence for a little longer, Ritsuka enjoying the afterglow of having complimented one another in such a friendly way, when Andreas started to slowly talk to her again. "Oh... Ooooh." She started to think, already picking up on the mood in a big way. She had only just started worrying about being too forward with him with that last compliment, and it was already coming to bite her in the backside. "Well, it's not like he's unattractive... Really." She told herself, looking over Andreas and trying to pay attention to what he was saying. Her face was innocent, holding back any of the judgements that she was making in her mind. She blushed a little bit in response too, boys outside of her home country certainly had a more... Forward way of pressing the matters with girls. And it wasn't something she had experienced. Well, outside of the usual stuff she got from fans, adoration and all of that being confused with other things. "Still, it's not like I should consider this kind of thing! I have a career to worry about, I can't be dragging someone around and dealing with all sorts of drama... What would my fans think? What would I tell my parents if I got up to this sort of thing after leaving home so recently?" She asked herself, starting to panic. They had stopped, and Andreas had almost finished talking. If he said those words, she wouldn't be able to...

The scene was suddenly cut short when Andreas pointed out that they had arrived at the Turpintown. Ritsuka couldn't ignore the stone she felt in her throat she was trying to swallow past, but when the mood seemed dropped she let out a sigh. "Andreas, wait." Ritsuka said, pausing the boy in his tracks. There didn't seem to be an audience, which was probably for the best. "You're a really great guy, and I really appreciate what you've done. I know that I said that I'd do you a favour earlier, but... It can't be something like that." She let out, trying to give him a friendly smile even though she really wanted to frown. "I... Well, I have a lot going on. I have a career and fans to worry about, and it means that doing things like... Well, getting serious with guys I just met. It's not good for me, it's not what I'm looking for either." She swallowed hard, not sure how he was going to take all this. She couldn't let him retort though, she didn't want a scene. "So I think it might be for the best if you... If you just forgot about that kind of thing. I don't feel right walking with you if you're serious about it though... So listen, I'm going to just run ahead and figure things out with the concert. You can come if you want, to the show I mean. I'm going to go ahead myself." She picked up her luggage and began to speedily walk ahead, but she stopped and looked back to him. "It means a lot though! To me, I mean. I'm honoured!" Ritsuka called to him, rushing back down the streets again and disappearing into the collection of white buildings. She'd hopefully find her way to the other side.
