2 years. It had been two years since Loic had sailed with the Laughing Pirates and earned himself a small bounty. Now he'd managed to make his way to the North Blue and was out on his own once again, just like the first time. He didn't set a pirate flag waving or anything. He kept a rather low profile, in fact. He had chartered (Read: stowed away on) a passenger ship and had disembarked (read: Snuck out) at the last island, and that was where he'd heard of this place. The archipelago with a history of turning pirates in for their bounties. It piqued his interest.

He arrived not in style, but in silence. He slipped off of what was essentially a ferry at the "second" island. He didn't have all the information here, but he did have a plan of attack. He left his hood up, firstly, but he pulled it low. Despite the supernatural effects the hood seemed to have, he'd stand out a little less than if he just left it down, with the unique look of his eyes. He noticed that the town looked fairly well to do. Most places were clean and well kept. They were the ones he walked past with little to no interest. Instead, he found a bar that looked a fair bit cheaper, less well kept. He pushed the door open and stepped inside. It was subtle, but every eye turned to the newcomer. Conversations continued as if he hadn't entered. They were scoping him out without making it obvious. Trying to compare him to bounty posters they'd seen. He walked up the the bar and sat down, pulling the hood back at last. "Dunno what I want." He said pointedly. "But I'm parched. Start me off with a water?"

He could see that his eyes had drawn a few more curious looks. This was all going as he'd wanted it to. Now it was just a waiting game, and game of making sure his drink wasn't spiked. He watched the bartender closely. He looked suspicious, but unsure. Loic's bounty was 2 years old and today he'd decided to see if anyone in the North Blue knew of it. And this seemed to be the perfect spot for it.

Let the waiting begin.

Jermaine had gotten off his small boat, his body guard Zoey was right next to the man. They had somehow fallen asleep and drifted off a while back, they stopped off at a couple of islands, it didn’t take a genius to figure out how to use a compass and a map, and a four year old could do it. But sadly for the pair, it seemed as if a four year old was smarter than the two of them put together, they got themselves lost all the time, but this time it seemed that the pair had actually managed to land where they wanted too.

Jermaine looked around the island, it was the second island of the archipelago, and it was known for making targets fall asleep, or that’s what Zoey had told him at the very least. Jermaine could see the men watching him, even if they tried to hide the fact they were comparing his face to bounties that they knew off, but Jermaine was sure he didn’t have a bounty so he was good for now at least.

Jermaine made his way around the small island, he had to look for any potential bars, and such, maybe even a restaurant as he did need to drop off this box of canned fruits he was carrying at the moment. The dark skinned man saw a couple of pirates being pulled in and beaten up, or even getting shot around him, he seemed a little put off by that fact. If a man wanted to sail the seas freely than they should do it, he knew that there are bad pirates in the world, but the opposite is true too. But he would have to grit his teeth and accept the fact that so many men and woman were being turned in for money every day.

Jermaine took slow and quiet steps, his breaths were calm, and slow. He opened the door to what appeared to be a normal store. The shop keeper was cleaning what appeared to be a gun, but Jermaine didn’t care, his body guard did the same all the time. He dropped the box down on the table, ”Hey there, do you want to buy some fruits? They’re pretty damn fresh, and I got them from other islands too, so they’re pretty damn exotic.” Jermaine put on his best merchant smile, Zoey was behind Jermaine, she showed the shop keeper the base of her gun, just to add a little effect.
The shopkeeper looked up at the pair, and smiled. Jermaine could tell it was fake, but he simply didn’t care. ” Sure! I’m always in need of fresh fruit, is this enough?” The shopkeeper showed them a wad of money, Jermaine was more than happy enough with this deal, he gave the man the box and took the money, before he left and started to count it. He grinned, it seemed like they would be drinking a lot tonight! He walked into the nearest bar, he dropped his grin once he noticed many pairs of eyes looking in his direction, it was a little bit intimidating. He continued to walk until he actually reached the barkeeper. He ordered two drinks one for him, and one for Zoey before he sat down.

The mug made a dull clunk as it was set down. Things in the bar seemed to hold an air of mild tension. This town had seen a lot of trouble. One guy in particular seemed rather agitated. Over in the corner, a man sat, flipping through a newspaper far too quickly to be reading the articles. Their spotter, Loic chuckled as he took a sip of the water. This one was clean. The newspaper man seemed to be glancing up now and then, giving Loic a once over, before going back to his paper. A front, he saw. The paper was likely full of wanted posters, with only a front page set there for a cover. This was reinforced by the pile of other papers that were folded securely in a stack under his chair.

It was also evidenced by the arrival of the two new patrons. As soon as they entered, everything that had happened when Loic had first gotten there repeated itself. The same half-looks, the same quasi-silence. The only difference was that the newspaper man in the corner grumbled and went back to the first page of his paper. Doubtless, to compare the newcomers as well. Now, Loic turned his attention to said newcomers. A pair, these two. They both looked like they had put some time in on the battlefield. He wondered if they were pirates, or if they had just had enough bad luck. Or maybe they were bounty hunters. More competition for the town. Then again, why would a bounty hunter come to this island? His interest in the two suddenly grew. If these two had a bounty, it would be their posters that came up first. Keeping an eye on the guy scanning the wanted posters, Loic decided to engage.

"Aah, good afternoon!" He set the mug of water down. It had been fairly good. Sleeping drug free, as it were. "Loic Moreau. Nice to meet you." He swore that, as he said his name, Newspaper's ear actually perked up. His eyes were suddenly drawn to the bottom of his pages. He neatly folded his first paper, set it down on the floor, and grabbed another. If Loic were in there, he figured he'd be at least 3 or 4 papers down. Perhaps more, since his bounty had been in another ocean, as well. At the current rate the guy was going, he gave himself a good few minutes, if he were going to be discovered at all. He shifted his back just slightly, feeling the weight of the scythe press against him, prepared just in case he needed it. Things could get interesting very quickly today.

Jermaine himself kept his eyes low, and on the bar table. There was no need in causing unneeded trouble, especially when it could get you killed over here. His bodyguard was watching the drinks being made, so Jermaine knew he didn't need to keep an eye on them, he trusted Zoey enough. Plus he wasn't even wanted in any way, shape or form, so he didn't need to worry too much.

He tried not to look around to much, but having many half-stares aimed at the back of your head would grind on anyone's nerves. Why did he pick this island again? Oh yeah, it was because he thought it would be a great idea to help out some starving bounty hunters who hardly ever get fresh fruit. This is what he got for being a good person, next time he would need to remember to learn to use a gun, they were pretty intimidating.

Jermaine noticed the man next to him, turn to speak to him. Was this another bounty hunter? Looking to find out his name, Jermaine had nothing to fear, so he put on a smile, "Yeah it is a pretty good afternoon, Jermaine Johnson, pleasure to meet you too." he looked around the place quickly, he could see the man reading the newspaper go back to the beginning, that was strange, who the hell did that? But then it occurred to him, he was looking for a bounty poster.

"Lively place, don't ya think? Everyone seems pretty happy, I wonder how they're gonna deal with that big pirate armada that just docked here." Jermaine couldn't help but smirk a little, he liked to poke fun at people, and this was a great opportunity. He smirked softly, he noticed a couple of men heading out of the place. That was interesting to see.

Glancing around, he saw several people stir at the man's mention of a pirate armada. It was a bluff, of course. No, a bluff led to an end. It was an outright lie. Loic chuckled a bit, but he also noticed that Newspaper had stopped reading. Bleh. The suspense was killing him. Was he in that stack, somewhere? Not that he found it likely to begin with...But still. The attention had successfully been drawn off of the trio at the bar now, so Loic decided to address them a bit more. The least he could do was discuss the interesting place with his fellow newcomers.

"Interesting.....You guys pirates yourselves?" He muttered low, his lips near the rim of his mug of water. He tilted his head so that they would realize that he was indeed looking at them. The large disks that were where his eyes should have been glowed a stark green color, though it was far from threatening. He chuckled, leaning his chin on his hand. Whoever these two were, they were interesting, and that was the most important thing. They were going to turn out to be some fun allies or some furious enemies. Either way, it would be a win for Loic. "Even if there is no pirate armada," he chuckled, "I have the feeling things are going to get interesting on this island pretty soon."

Jermaine was fairly surprised at that question, so the man was a pirate. It wasn't like Jermaine really cared, but he could tell his bodyguard was a little bit antsy. Zoey was sitting right next to him, but she seemed ready to pull out her gun at any moment. Jermaine needed to make the situation relax a little bit, "Nope, I'm just a simple merchant roaming the seas and looking for rare and exotic fruit and a good adventure too." his merchant smile was pretty good, it almost seemed to make those around him feel like smiling too. Jermaine was sitting up straight, his suit was in tip top shape, not a piece of dust anywhere on it. "But you are. Right? Don't worry I won't tell anyone." he made sure to keep his voice down low, if someone heard them, they would really be screwed. "Well they might be real? You never know, some random rookie pirate might take themselves for a big shot, and try their luck." He couldn't help but scoff at that idea.

Jermaine allowed his drink to swirl within the glass, he span said glass in his hands a couple of times, before he then decided to drink it. He took a short sip from the drink, before paying attention to the man once again, "Well even if things don't get interesting, we could always create our own fun, don't you agree Jermaine sat there with a smile on his face. This island had next to no money for him, the earlier deal was probably lucky, but Jermaine needed to travel around more efficiently in the future. It was time for him to slowly start collecting a solid crew. Jermaine looked the man in the eye, "Say. Have you ever thought of taking the world by storm, I certainly have. And right now, I'm ready for it, but how about we start this storm small, and island maybe, full of bounty hunters too.he smirked a little bit, he was sure the man knew what he was hinting at, at the very least.

"A storm, huh?" Loic chuckled. Alright, his attention was grabbed. Though it was uncharacteristic, Loic was getting impatient with Newspaper over there. He was on his fourth paper, and still nothing. There were two left. He tapped his finger idly on the bar. "Did that once. It was a pretty good time. But before we do something you'd regret..." He turned his head full towards the man, his cybernetic eyes glowing just a little bit brighter than before. "You sure you wanna do it? There's no turning back, and it ain't all Yo Hos and rum. You make a lot of enemies just by virtue, and there are some places you just can't go anymore. I'm warning you now, you two, and even me, are gonna be small fish jumping in a big ocean, and you're gonna have a lot to live up to."

Loic hadn't expected this part. He was just prepared for a good fight and a good laugh at the expense of the expert amateurs that were all around the room. But, depending on this guy's answer, he might have actually found himself a crew. He kept his gaze fixed, but watched them both intently, looking for a sign of agreement from both of them. "If you wanna keep the life you've got now, even for a second more, you should just sit back and enjoy the show. But if you still want to go, then you should know. It's not gonna be simple, it's not gonna be quiet, and it's not gonna be safe. But I'll tell you what it will be." A grin spread across his face. "A helluva good time."

Newspaper stopped at his 6th and final paper, somewhere around the "Center page". He had a good view of the side of Loic's face, and he kept looking between the paper and him. He seemed to mutter something under his breath, and someone else nearby became curious and joined him. Most of the subtlety was gone now.

"From this long ago? What would he be doin' here?"
"Dunno, but that's his hair, right?"
"Yeah, but the eyes..."
"They're fake, stupid."
"Who're you callin' stupid?"
"You. Look at the name, stupid!"

The mug, now empty of water, banged down on the table and Loic stood up. "You're both sounding pretty stupid to me." He sighed, shaking his head, a smile still sitting serenely on his lips as a hand raised to his forehead in amused exasperation. "I thought I'd be able to get a few drinks down before you figured out who I was. I heard you guys were experts at using sleeping drugs, but now that I know you know who I am, I think I'll just be on my way."

He strode a few steps towards the door, hands hidden beneath the dark cloak he still had wrapped around himself. The somewhat stunned silence that had fallen was broken only by the dull, repetitive thuds of his footfalls against the wooden floor. And, for one moment, it was also broken by the scraping of a chair. The man Loic had dubbed "Newspaper" had stood up and raised a sword, rushing at the now-outed pirate. "You're not going anywhere!"

With the possibility of drugging him seemingly gone, the bounty hunters here were desperate. They did need the money, as they didn't get too many customers. As it was, these guys weren't really too good at their island's specialty. Loic's smile widened just a tiny bit. Exactly as he'd thought. "You're too noisy to catch me like that."

A short series of clicks resonated as Loic withdrew his weapon from his back and expanded it. The butt of the shaft thudded evenly on the man's chin as it burst out from under the cloak, sending him staggering backwards. The blue blade of the scythe curved gently around Loic's back. With what could seem like an ethereal movement, if one were watching the blade alone rather than Loic's arms and hands, the scythe slid into place, arcing over his shoulders. After just a moment of heavy silence, filled with beating hearts and preparatory breaths, the floodgates opened and the bar fight began in earnest.

Jermaine could only raise one of his eyebrows at what the man was saying, so was he someone big in the past? No. That couldn’t be it, he was just a normal man, with a possible bounty on his head, Jermaine could only smirk at the end of that speech. ”A lot to live up to? I won’t just live up to it, I’ll live way past it, and keep going up. Until those men I used to look up to are eating my dust.” He sat there with a smug smile, ”What do you say Zoey, are you with me too?” he had that charismatic smile, and the fact that his face while adult like, still held a child like charm to it. ”I’m your body guard, it’s not like I even have a choice is it?her tone of voice seemed to show disinterest, but it was the smirk on her face that told him otherwise.

Jermaine then listened to the man speak again, it made sense, but he wasn’t going to sit back, and enjoy a show that was being run by someone else, riches fame and even power. They should be his, and his friends. Well that’s what he would tell himself, but truly, he was a kind person, he couldn’t bring himself to step on the bodies of children or even woman to reach there. If he was going to do it, well he would do it with the least amount of sacrifices. ”If you’re trying to discourage me, you’re not exactly doing a good job”he smirked once again. He then noticed something strange in the corner of his eye, who the hell kept on changing the news paper they were reading? That was a little bit strange, but he thought nothing of it for a second.

It hit Jermaine like a sea train, they were looking for his Loic’s bounty in there, he sighed. Well there was going to be a brawl here today that sucked. Couldn’t they just let him drink in peace? He noticed the man get up to leave, but to Jermaine’s surprise, well not really surprise because it was obvious. The bounty hunters seemed ready to attack at a moments notice, this wasn’t good. If someone was going to help him take this village by storm, they couldn’t go and get themselves killed, that would be too much of a set back. After Loic took out the first guy, Jermaine flipped over the bar, and kicked the bar keeper in the face, knocking him out clean. ”Zoey, do it. Let’s take ‘em out.” Zoey answered by releasing a couple of glancing, yet very painful blows, Jermaine himself decided to take that opportunity to sit down and watch.

Someone had to keep an eye on the surroundings. But his whole dream was crushed, by a big boulder of a man, he came charging at Jermaine, but Jermaine only scoffed, ”Go to sleep you big brute” the large man’s fist came crashing on the chair Jermaine was on, but the dark skinned man was faster than the brute, Jermaine had moved off the chair as fast as he could, and stood up. He aimed an uppercut at the large man’s chin, the large man moved out of the way, only to gain a knee in the balls, it was a feint. The brute bent forward, but that earned him a knee in the face, which was followed by a punch. That was easy; he turned to see how his bodyguard was doing. She was handling herself well, very well. That seemed good. He saw a man sneak up behind her, but instead of moving to help her, he simply threw a bottle at the man’s head, knocking him out.

Jermaine then picked up the barstool, and swung it at another bounty hunter. But it was sliced in half, it was clearly a swordsman. ”Introduce yourself, my own name is Kasashi Mishimoto” Jermaine could only smile at this idiot, ”Your shoes are untied” The man looked down at his feet for a second, but what he saw was not his feet, but Jermaine’s foot about to connect with his face. The man simply couldn’t react fast enough. This earned him a good blow to the face. Jermaine then yanked the sword from the man’s hand’s, and threw it away, before head butting the swordsman, knocking him out clean. It was another man down and out. It was a simple bar brawl, nothing more. These men weren’t meant to fight well, nor did they seem to be that strong. ”Come on. Fight better, you guys aren’t a challenge, I saw 5 year olds doing better than you.”

Jermaine looked around the room, the numbers were down by a good count, he smirked. Zoey did take out a good few, ”Look. If you don’t wanna get killed, get out of here now, only big boys are talking now.” he glared at them, and the rest was simple, they dashed out of the place, the numbers weren’t too high in the first place. ”Loic was it? How about joining us? On the seas, causing bits of trouble everywhere, make it big time.” Jermaine smiled and stuck his hand out, prepared to shake on the whole deal of journeying together. ”Even if you don’t want to join us, let’s cause a storm here, a big one that they won’t even see coming. The biggest storm this island has ever seen, and will see for a while. What do you say to that?”

Jermaine stood up completely straight, but then he face palmed, did he just let a load of poor bounty hunters go in a city full of them? Yes he did. ”But first, let’s get out of this place, it’s going to get bombarded soon enough, I’d rather make it out of here alive.” He walked toward the register within the bar, took out a bit of money, and put it into his pocket. He saw the look from Zoey that he had just earned, ”What? They tried to kill us, and he’ll probably get that money back soon anyway, he’s earning more money than these smucks on the floor.”

Jermaine the proceeded to leave the establishment, through the back door this time, ”Alright, let’s go through the back, there’s only an alleyway there, we should be able to sneak away.” he made his way out of the back door of the building, before looking around the alley way, the coast was perfectly clear. He would be perfectly fine for now, and so would his companions, but Jermaine could only guess that they went to see their head honcho, that isn’t good at all, nowhere near good. He sighed, maybe he was over thinking things, it could be that they simply went home, to cry. The guy that joined them wasn’t the biggest bounty they could get. ”Alright, have we got a plan? Causing trouble, anything. Maybe even ruining their water, let’s make it smell. No. I’m not a kid, but imagine grown men crying about their food they are going to eat, and even the water that they’re drinking, that has to be funny.” he had a small smile on his face, he was holding in laughter. There was glee in his voice, there could be no way he was being serious.

He heard voices, and thus started slowly walking away, signalling that they should stay quiet, and to walk the same way he is. He walked toward one edge of the alley way. Jermaine stuck his head around the corner. Only to see how ridiculous he looked. ”I look like a dick don’t I?” he chuckled. Before he decided to stand up straight and dust himself off. If anyone saw them, well they’d be sleeping with the fishes, or sleeping underneath a load of bin bags. ”Now let’s be serious, what should we go and do now? Piss off some bounty hunters; teach them that they shouldn’t mess with us?”

Loic caught one of the men in side with the blunt back of the scythe, tossing him right at another. A few more dull thuds found a few more dull thugs on the ground. And it was around then that they cleared out. Loic sighed and folded his scythe up in a fluid motion, reattaching it to his back. Glancing back at his partner in crime, he shrugged lightly. "Back door sounds good." He crossed his arms. His bounty had dropped that far down in relevancy, then? He sighed despite himself. Well, now was as good a time as any to renew his name.

As they stepped out into the alleyway, Loic remained silent. He was keeping an eye on this Jermaine character. Only one question rose to the surface of his mind as he watched. Running the scenario over in his head several times, there was one snag that Loic himself hadn't really thought all the way through. "Hey, you do have a boat, don't you?" Probably something to have thought of earlier, but...still. Even if he didn't have one, though, they'd just have to steal one.

Pirates, after all.

As for what to do... "The people in this town use poisons and sleeping agents to knock their targets out. However efficiently they do it, it's still a cowardly tactic. A perfectly viable one, but when it comes right down to it the people here aren't used to outright conflict. So, what we'll do..."

Loic stepped past both Zoey and Jermaine and directly towards the street. "We'll walk straight out. The only ones who'll bother to try to stop us would be the only ones worth fighting, anyway. If you want to hurt them, hurt their pride."

The hood of his cloak was up, and from inside the cloak he'd pulled a plain, basic steel sickle. Two mysterious gifts he'd received, both of which had a similar effect on those around him. Whether the other two followed him or not, Loic continued down the street. A small crowd had gathered nearby, and one of the men who had run out of the bar stepped out of it, pointing at him.

"There 'e is! That's the guy I was telli-"

He fell silent as Loic grew closer. The muttering from the crowd ceased as well. "If you don't wanna die..." Loic said quietly. No one took it as a bluff. The crowd parted as the sickle raised before them. Loic continued at his pace, his steps echoing among the buildings. The only other sounds were a few stuttering clicks of swords that their owners were too afraid to pull from their scabbards. Loic gave a gentle smirk. At least these still worked as intended. Either they were going to walk out of a town full of bounty hunters completely clean, or they were going to take down the toughest and bravest among them. Either way suited him just fine.

Jermaine nodded, "Yes we do, but it's fairly small, nothing too big. Although I'm hoping to change that soon. he dusted off his suit a little bit. There was no way he could get it dirty, it was so damn beautiful. But back in the world outside of Jermaine's head. He paid attention to what Loic had to say, that was true, even the brute from before hadn't touched him. And Zoey was fine even though it was a fairly small area, that had to mean something. But did they poison his drink? No that couldn't have happened. Zoey was paying attention to it, well he hoped she was anyway. It would be far too inconvenient for him to suddenly pass out in the middle of a fight. He saw the man simply step out, so Jermaine and Zoey followed.

Jermaine noticed that the men seemed to be scared for some reason? He went closer, and could feel some chills for some reason. He looked at the sickle, it seemed to be giving off a weird aura of some sort. And Jermaine wasn't even a monk, whatever that is. He decided that now would be a good time to attack the men. When they weren't ready, nor in the right mind to fight. " Zoey, we can't let our guest do all the work here you know. I'll help him, you watch my back. Alright?" He was ready to jump into the fray. When a large man, with an axe in hand came out of the crowd. Wasn't he affected by whatever Loic was doing? That was pretty strange. But James could tell this man wasn't the same as the guys behind him, he could actually fight.

"Now look here. This is my town, and I don't wanna see some little kids messing around here, you understand? I've caught countless men, yet you three are nothing. Come on! Let me show you guys the true might of Leonardo 'Jelly Man' Gallepelago!"

Jermaine stood his ground, and stood still for a couple of seconds. This man wasn't weak, not at all. Now how should they go about this? It was a worrying situation if he was going to be perfectly honest. "Zoey, stay back and take out any brave guys. We'll take this prick on. Well if our guest wants to see some of my skills, then I'll just show him some. He then proceeded to run at the man as quickly as he possible could. The man was strong, but far from being fast enough to keep up with Jermaine. The large man decided to punch the smaller dark skinned man. But it was in vain, Jermaine ducked under the punch, and hit the man in the stomach, only to realize that the man's stomach was like jelly. What the hell was going on here?

"Is that all? I'm not known as the jelly man for no reason"

Jermaine only laughed a little bit, "I thought it was just because you were fat. Well it is, jelly man" Jermaine spoke in a mocking tone at the end of the sentence. Mocking the large man was far too funny to miss up. He could only chuckle at his own wittiness. But the large man decided then to use a weird technique, he used his belly and bounced Jermaine away. The dark skinned man was thrown back to where he started. But only due to his quick reactions was he able to balance himself in mid air. What the hell was this man!?

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Loic kept walking through the crowd. He kept himself entirely focused on simply moving ahead. The docks were his target, and the ones in front of him weren't worth his time. The large man who appeared, and Jermaine who dashed by him to attack, were both registered and then set aside. While the two fought, he walked straight by them. He kept his ears tuned to the sound of his footsteps, acknowledging any new sights or sounds, processing them, and shelving them almost immediately. Nothing, that is, until he saw that man.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

On the very corner of his vision, a man who was mostly concealed in a shadowed building was watching him intently. He was smiling. Now, the only things remaining were the tapping of his feet, and that man. That was why, when he stepped out and into the street, though he barely made a sound, Loic could hear him. The rustle of his sleeve, too. At just about the same time that the needle left the man's hand, Loic spun himself around, stepping aside at the same time. The needle flew past where the back of his neck had been a moment before. He smiled a bit. Perhaps this could become even more interesting.

He took a good look at the man. He was tall and thin. He wore a rather strange looking shirt, that had loose hanging sleeves that seemed to be weighted down by something. Loic ventured a glance behind himself for just a moment. The needle had struck one of the men in the crowd, and by now he'd passed out. "A sleeping poison...?" He turned back to the confrontational man. "Aah, so this is the real nature of this Shiroi Village, huh? That's pretty scary." Both of his hands moved at once, one replacing the sickle in its place beneath the cloak, the other withdrawing his scythe and clicking it into place.

"You're pretty scary yourself." The man's words slid like oil through the air. It felt like the very sound of his voice could seep into one's skin like the poison that coated his darts. "You've got an interesting presence about you. It'll be fun seeing the marine's faces when we go to collect the bounty off of you."

We'll see, Loic thought with a smirk. So this was why the big guy let Loic pass by without argument. He shifted his feet and dug his front foot into the ground, securing the scythe up his arm and arching the blade over his shoulders. The man's hands were fast, but Loic saw it ahead of time and dove aside as another needle soared past him. He rolled evenly and jumped again, still going in the same direction. "What, not even an introduction? What a rude guy!" Three more needles were headed in his direction. He managed to knock one away with the shaft of the scythe, but he needed to hop again to avoid the other two. This time, though, he wasn't fast enough. They grazed his leg, passing cleanly through his pant leg, leaving a small hole. He clicked his tongue. He hadn't gotten a full dose, but he could already feel his leg going slightly numb in the area he'd been nicked. "You're not messing around..." With that, he threw himself directly into the crowd of onlooking grunts.

"Hah, what a cowardly tactic..." The man scanned the crowd of writhing and shifting men. "Not that it matters, since my attacks don't cause any lasting damage, I can attack my own allies with no qualms." And indeed, he unleashed a flurry of needles, striking a good number of the men, who hollered out in shock before peacefully falling over and snoring.

"Che, what a coldhearted guy." Loic had left the crowd, and now stood on the porch of one of the buildings lining the streets. He had removed his cloak and draped it carefully over one of the chairs there, the sickle tucked carefully along with it. "I wasn't hiding. I just don't like the idea of you poking holes in my cloak." He stepped forward, off of the porch. The dark dress shirt and pants gave him a completely different look. Now, even with his eyes, he looked fairly normal. Moved again, a fair bit smoother than he had with the cloak in his way, back through the crowd and out to the street.

"Eheh...alright, my name's Donetello Gallepalago. They call me Needles. They're not very original." He smiled slickly and slid his foot back, reaching a hand into the opposite sleeve. "Why don't we have some fun before we make some money off of you?"

Jermaine noticed from the corner of his eye, that Loic himself was facing another person, and Jermaine really wanted to show off some of his skills too. Well that was too bad, but he could deal with that. He looked back at the large man, who was proud of himself being known as the jelly man. What kind of man would be proud of being fat? Well Jermaine had never known such a person, nor did he want to know any people like that. He decided to try his luck once more, but to no avail. His fist made contact with the fat man's chest, yet once again it was blocked by the large man's fatty tissue, this wasn't going to be easy, not by any shot. Jermaine could only sigh at the situation he was in now, he was punching some kind of plushie man, that could take any of his punches. The large man threw a fist at Jermaine, but the punch was far too slow to be able to hit him. If it was one advantage Jermaine was sure he had, it was the fact that the was faster than the man.

Jermaine ducked under the punch, and stepped inside of the man's guard, before he kneed him in the balls as hard as Jermaine could. Only to get no reaction. He looked up at his enemy with a raised eyebrow. "Come on. That would have to have hurt y- He was cut off by another belly flop coming his way, and it connected once again, sending the dark skinned man back by a good bit. While the technique didn't hurt to much, it sure as hell was annoying. Jermaine looked around the area, only to see that most of the bounty hunters had disappeared. Yet his body guard was in the same spot as before. What were they up to? Jermaine could only wonder. "Looks like your boys have abandoned you there my fat friend. The fat comment looked like it really grinded on the jelly man.

"Lets see how much longer you can carry on with that kind of talk, especially with your death facing you. Leonardo came running at Jermaine with a fist cocked back, but as before it was dodged thanks to Jermaine's speed, Jermaine entered the man's guard again. And elbowed him in the solar plexus, yet once again no reaction? What was going on here? The dark skinned man jumped back a good deal, and looked at his enemy strangely, those two hits should have hurt. That was weird. Even the grin on the fat man's face told Jermaine that whatever was going on wasn't normal.

"Don't think to hard there, you might end up popping a vein. Leonardo was speaking with a chiding tone. But it never got to Jermaine, he dashed at Leonard once again, but he was met by a punch, but Jermaine wasn't having that. He used the man's hand as a surface to hold onto, before doing a flip kick into the man's face. Finally he had gotten a reaction. Thanks to his new found discovery, he forgot to right himself in mid air, and took on a punch by the large man. Even if the fat man was dazed for a second. He sure as hell seemed like he could take a good deal of hits.

Dancing was always considered a ritual ever since the dawn of man. Histories talk of it as animalistic tendencies to express oneself, others a religion, and others life itself. For Raz, it was an intricate communion between man (himself) and the infinite (universe). It was the ideal way transcend beyond the limitations of human capabilities or be trapped by its pangs. However, he also defines it as the single and only form of communication that bridges people beyond race and kin. Hence, as he stood on the table and turned and danced into the rhythm of the stringed instruments playing, the people of the small cafe were urged by an unexplainable force to join him. It was quite early for a celebration and though the tavern at the opposite side of town would have been the more appropriate drink to get high, in this small part of town, it was their small ritual that was enough to set their spirits high and thrilled.

And with each step, each turn, his clothes trailed with as much grace as he did. Soon, it was no longer his body following the beat but the music following his own rhythm. And in that special moment, he remembered the woodlands and the dancing of his people. He smiled.

A grand finale of fast-paced tapping ended the dance and everyone in the cafe celebrated with an "Oley~!" before they all took to their own to rest, drink with friends and talk. Raz found himself sitting by the cafe's counter and receiving a free drink from one of the clients and he indulged into the person's generosity. It was peaceful as usual and he was making enough money being the cafe's entertainer to support himself and save enough money for a journey to the next island if he wished it. Of course, he was also lazy at times and he'd rather laze under the covers of someone else's home and be a guest for as long as they wanted him to be. That was not the case that day though as he was not feeling up to it, thus he had to refuse the sweet courting of the gentleman who bought him a drink.

Just then, as if on cue, there was a ruckus outside the cafe. He peeked out from the casement and saw some people running across the street. He never heard anything about a contest or some sort of festival to elicit such life on the streets. But then when there were noises of destruction and fighting in the distance, he knew that it was something else. He really ought to have ignored it, but the cafe's owner joined him by the casement and endeared him to take action else the fight could go long way towards the cafe.

"But those guys from the tavern like to do what they want. They always trouble everyone," he said.

"And if we don't do something, we'll be hit like a paper against the storm," the owner nudged him.

"Okay, but we?"

"I need to keep the life here. People want drinks, music and more dancing."

The owner smiled sheepishly before going back to the counter, leaving the redhead to look back outside before he saw more people running down the street and some talking about bounties and such. He shrugged before he brought himself out the casement and started walking down the road. He kept to the back-alleys, glancing towards the main street every now and then until he found the place where most people were avoiding and he knew he was close. He probed deeper, moving past some obstruction on the street, climbing onto a porch's tent and saw that a couple of guys were having a brawl. One of them seemed like a jelly and it was horrible. It almost made him puke and now he would forever be scarred by this memory and avoid further consumption of jellies.

In any case, one of them had seemingly gotten on top of a nearby porch and was on a staring contest with another man who looked more like a psychopath thanks to his comment about injuring his own mates. The other was quick to engage with the jelly man. Raz flipped a coin and as soon as he saw his fate, he smirked and threw the coin towards the jelly man as he raced towards him. He didn't know what was going on, but he liked following fate as if it were the ocean and the jelly man was the unlucky one to have been named the target according to Raz's strange flip-coin criteria.

Unfortunately, as he ran towards the jelly man, the other man who was confronting it began a strike but was left open to be gutted by jelly man. Raz would have to help the guy in the process and he neared jelly man from behind before rolling on the ground to make a concentrated upper kick launcher at the man's backside.

"No hard feelings. Just a job the owner said to get done with." he said as he quickly stood on a readied stance.

Loic was keeping his distance. This guy was pretty dangerous. It wasn't that he felt that he couldn't take him in a close quarters fight, rather, he needed to be careful. One wrong step could land a needle in one of a good number of inconvenient places. Besides, he was distracted. Someone else had joined their little travelling party now, and Loic was curious as to what he'd bring to the table. In fact, at the moment, he was looking right past Donatello's head.

And the bounty hunter was none too happy about it.

"Getting cocky? Don't you ignore me, it'll be the last mistake you make!" He drew his hand back and flicked it forward three times, three more needles that Loic bobbed and weaved around. Then, he promptly swung his foot out of the way as another needle implanted itself in the ground where his shoe had just been. He scowled slightly, but he had lost his balance a bit. He widened his stance, but was forced to steady himself lower to the ground, nearly at a crouch. Even at this disadvantage though, his free hand grabbed the needle and carefully palmed it. Ignoring this guy was getting to be too dangerous now but for now, he needed to throw off his concentration. "Three attacks." The man froze and shot him a questioning glare. Curiosity killed the cat, as they said. Loic took a moment to stand back up. "You can only send out three of those needles before you need to readjust your aim, right?" The narrowed eyes he received in answer to his question were exactly what he was expecting.

"Alright, then, I'll be finishing this up now." And with that, he dashed forward. Now if he was right....One needle. He ducked to the right and kept moving forward. Two. Back to the left. Three. Slide underneath. He gripped the scythe and spun his full body into his attack, the blunt shaft of his scythe arcing towards Donatello. He felt it connect, but....

Donatello was smirking. All at once, two things were wrong. One, Donatello's arm had bunched up to soften the blow, and he'd jumped into the air. The attack connected, and he was thrown a short distance away, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Two, he had an odd sensation right about....

He knew better than to poke it. Instead, he tugged the needle out from the spot just above his eye. ".......Ow!" He winced a bit and rubbed the spot, standing up, clearly annoyed. He'd been lucky, really. A miscalculation on his part, but... "That hurt, you idiot." He groaned and rubbed his head near where the needle had struck a bit more. "Geez, where are you aiming?" He rapped on his head with his knuckles lightly. "Mostly metal up here. No real circulation for your poison."

Needles blinked in surprise, but shrugged. "Either way, I guess you were wrong. I can attack with four needles, see?" His grin showed his confidence. "Guess you were a little too cocky."

Loic sighed and resumed his stance. This guy was starting to grate on his nerves. He'd wanted to watch more of the other match, but now he just wanted to beat this guy up. He tightened his grip and hunched a bit lower, digging his foot in again, mentally preparing for his next assault.

Jermaine was surprised to receive help from a completely random person in the middle of his fight. Not that he wasn’t grateful but he liked fighting his own battles. He landed on the floor, and rolled a couple of times before standing back up again. He dusted himself off, and looked at the person who had just come to join them in the fight, ”Thanks for saving me, but I like to fight my own battles, plus it’s not exactly the best idea to hit a bounty hunter on a bounty hunter village.” he chuckled a little bit at the end of his sentence. He looked again at the man who had joined the fight only a few minutes ago. He might make a good comrade, and having more is usually better. Jermaine noticed the fat bounty hunter had just stood up, he had no time for talking, just action. Jermaine ran up to the large brute, and ducked underneath a punch that was sent his way, before sending an uppercut at the brutes face. Once again the brute nearly fell back to the floor, Jermaine then jumped up and kneed the man in the face, which finally sent him back down the floor.

Jermaine then dropped kneed the man in the face, finally sending him to sleep. It felt good sending the man back to sleep. If Jermaine could say he was feeling something right this moment, it would be mild annoyance mixed with a tinge of amusement. He looked back at the man who interrupted the fight earlier. ” What did I say? I could deal with him just fine” Jermaine looked over to Loic’s fight, and nodded in approval, the man could fight well just as Jermaine had expected, he was probably better than him. He then walked up to the other man, ”So what’s your name, mine’s Jermaine Johnson, soon to be world famous, you know how to handle yourself, so why not come join us?”
