If someone has Merchant as a Primary profession, by spending a trait on Insider Trading, would they get a 20% discount for their crew and 30% for themselves, or just 20% for the crew and themselves?

In other words, does Insider Trading stack with the Primary bonus of the Merchant profession?

Traits

Every profession, whether it is primary or secondary, gives the character the option of giving a few additional traits to choose from. These will be grouped under the respective professions they belong to. Note that discount traits do not stack with other discount traits, nor do they stack with the basic profession bonus. The same applies for bonus Beli traits.

I have a question about the rules. It says in the Professions section of the rules that "Not having a combat profession limits your character to rank 14 for combat techniques."

My question is: Is "Assassin" and/or "Thief" combat professions? Are any of the professions beyond the obvious ones (Martial Artist, Weapon Specialist and Marksman) considered combat professions?

Not currently, but I suspect that something might be done about that in the upcoming patch, but that's just speculation

Assassin is semi-combat so any fighting techs over r14 would have to be assassination techs. Also, you could potentially get Soru with assassin.
