So professions are different & separated for a reason but I still want to try and make this one for my character. ~Witch Doctor A Witch Doctor has a large range of medical knowledge including nutrients, animals, anatomy, plants, poisons, antidotes, and certain history. Effectively suturing and cleaning wounds and making bandages with outrageous materials are all a part of a Witch Doctor’s job. They are also capable of creating explosions and gain knowledge about various materials. Witch Doctors do not need to pay upkeep on the poisons/antidotes, medical tools, and explosives they use. The reason for this obvious mix between the scientist and doctor is so that my new pirate will be able to heal wounds as well as have the MS trait while still having enough room for another profession. Witch doctor would not be able to create chemical poisons and antidotes, it's more of a natural resource profession that would suit a pirate. Certain leaves could be used for bandages, even bugs for medicine. The same is true about "explosions". Instead of chemical combustion it would be more of a mixture of two natural substances or some type of nasty poison gas. Help plz? |

I also feel like I could just make a Witch Doctor Profession without the scientist stuff and just get the scientist profession but I just don't see the worth of scientist to my character other than ms. What can a scientist do that an inventor cant?(besides mad scientist) |

scientists are more of a natural type person that mixes chemicals and other shit together to create something. Inventors are more mechanical. Thats the difference between them. However professions are getting a much overdue change so i'd wait before trying to come up with something like this. |

No, mad scientist can allow someone to have an extra set of arms, gills to breathe underwater, a stomach that can dissolve anything, hell even mouth hands. But controlling electricity is a no-no to my understanding. |

What if it's just like... she turn it on, she turns it off? If you happen to touch her/get hit when it's on-you get hurt. When I say control I'm not talking about shooting out balls of electricity at people, it's more of a inner voltage thing. |

If you get electrical powers via Mad Scientist its not going to be particularly powerful and very limited to probably shocking on contact. |

How do you mean controllable like enel control because I doubt it would be allowed, however by mad scientist standards if I understand the trait right they could make someone into a human power factory by giving them sick turbines, with lightning whips, or even a power converter that changes other kinds of energy like: wind, water, thermal, and so on into electricity. Was that one complete though or no? Lol |

Witch doctor is a no. It's essentially two professions in one and gives you access to too many things. Having 'large' knowledge of medicine and poisons already gives you knowledge of how to create poisons, you can't say that the profession doesn't let you create it even though you know of it. And yes, you can use mad scientist to give your body a sort of 'electrical feel.' I am not sure how you would go about it to achieve that effect, but do know that your 'voltage' would be equivalent in strength to rubbing your feet on the carpet and then touching someone (aka. not that strong.) |

It says can't create medicines that buff, it doesn't say you can't create poisons. From what I know all of this electricity stuff would depend on technique rank. Actually it doesn't say the profession can't make medicines that buff atm, it just says the profession has more of a natural side than a chemical one. Edited by Pernix, May 22 2013, 04:47 PM.

That clearly says you can't create poisons. The electricity stuff will forever be underwhelming in comparison to say the electric eel fishman or the lightning logia. It will probably be able to scale somewhat, but will never be as strong as you expect it to be. Remember, it's a one trait ability. edit: lol didn't see you edit Either way, it's still a no. Still upholding my reasons - gives you access to too many aspects of different professions and does not seem unique enough to stand on its own. Edited by Namine, May 22 2013, 04:56 PM.
