Mad Scientist Trait?; A question about the above mentioned trait.

So the Mad Scientist trait says that " The mad scientist has the ability to make one major biological modification to themselves and any NPCs they control." my question is about what is covered by this biological modification.

Could they, for example, hollow out someones bones, change their muscle density and so on in order to increase there speed at the cost of weaker bones? Or is it more like they can add armour plating or extra arms to people?

My second question is how is a biological modification to your normal body affected by a the transformative ability of a Zoan devil fruit?

Can't enhance stats with mad scientists, even with a trade off. So yeah, the "extra-limbs/flesh armor" is the more correct assumption. You can also do things akin to some fishmen abilities, like some rudimentary bio-electric discharge and such. Pretty much, it's going to be some kind of odd utility or something tech based.

And... yes, it would just carry over to zoan forms, or hybrid at least. The same goes for cybernetics. If you're a cyborg mad scientist with six arms you get to be come a cyborg mad scientist with six arms, who's also part bear.

Thought I would use this to answer a question for myself. Could I use mad scientist to have my character release a flammable liquid from special glands in my mouth sorta like how spitting spiders and spitting cobras release poison. this fluid would not be a debuffing poison or anything, i just want to use it so i can ignite it to make it so my character could "breath fire" so to speak. If it can't work it is okay, just wanted to see it if I could do it.

Yes, though you may need to use another mad scientist mod(trait) if you're trying to keep your throat from sealing up or suffering from fire coming from it, though producing a flammable liquid seems fine.
