I'm sure you guys have already talked about this in some far off corner, but I'm curious myself.
That fruit really has no guidelines on how it can be used. Like, you could say for the first benchmark "The user can double or half his/her weight". Then for the last one "The user can increase their weight to a maximum of 10,000 kilos, and reduce it to a minimum of 1", etc, etc.
Just for guidelines and such.
Yes? No? Am I behind on events relevant to this matter?
Do a search on the board about the kilo fruit, there has been a few topics on it already.
The short of it though is that the mods really aren't sure how to treat the fruit at all because applying weight to the rp system is a royal pain in the neck.
For starters, there was discussion on whether the fruit actually boosts your weight by raising mass, or by just increasing the pull of gravity on your own body.

But you can't increase mass without also increasing your density. Thus when an individual weights 10kk, they are also that thick. You may be too heavy to move, but you'd be thicker than diamond is hard.
Unless the fruit was clarified to via Shonen magic increase mass without increasing density.
Systemizing it is rather simple. Rank 14 = the user makes themselves heavy enough that it takes 30 strength to lift them off the ground. At rank 28 = 50 strength and so on. Seems simple enough to me at least. Don't define the techs by "Weight" but rather by strength required to lift the user.

That sounds awesome. What about the reverse? Like as in getting lighter?

Ignore Emo, he's adding nothing to the topic. Just sulking about a custom fruit idea that got accepted but then rejected as he was in the process of obtaining it.
On that note, don't spam in non-spam sections. If you have nothing useful to add, refrain from adding anything at all. You're a mod, act like it.
Kilo's benchmarks are as much member input as it is staff. No one actually had the fruit before and if someone has legitimate suggestions to it's mechanics, they could pm the admins with something before taking it. Get something worked out. I made the benchmarks for Yami's gravitational pull before I was admin, got them approved and now it's a mini-system.

Zander's thing seems legit lift/piercing techs should involve increasing density or mass r 4 kilo makes someone as dense as iron, r8 steel, 14, Titanium r28 Diamond r44 veganium. Of course the ranks of those could be edited with r44 being diamond density, and then add in a str system for how much strength is required to lift them and your golden. Adept techniques could revolve around allowing the user to move regardless of the density of their body. Have techniques increase density while decreasing the users speed by X amount unless they make techniques to bypass it or increase base Kilo tech to allow maneuverability while density is increased

According to the show (at least from what I've seen) the fruit doesn't affect the users maneuverability in the slightest, be they heavy or light. For example, you'd be able to run just as fast if you weighed 10k kilos as you would if you weighed one kilo. Just as well, your body isn't altered in the slightest, meaning you'd look the same weighing 10k kilos as you would 60 kilos. It also doesn't have anything to do with making you harder to damage if you weigh more, proof of this is when Ms. Valentine crashes into the ground after Zoro dodges her; she comes up with a few scratches/bruises. The body is not physically altered in any way other than it's weight.
If anything, I was thinking something more along the lines of exact weight control, not comparing the density to material objects. For example...
Rank 1 - The user can double or half their original weight.
Rank 2 - The user can triple or third their original weight. So on, and so on, until finally
Rank X - The user can now multiply their weight x amount of times until their weight is equal to 10,000 kilograms, or divide their weight by a number x until their weight equals 1 kilogram.
You'd just substitute 'x' with whatever number would be necessary. It'd be difficult, but it would be controlled.
As for the lifting thing, I wouldn't use that so much for measuring the weight, but rather for fighting against it.
I'm taking into consideration the sites system. Though it's a r3 fruit what we see in OP is someone who has probably mastered the fruit or at least has high base tech rank. There are many things that canon fruits can do that site fruits have to work their way up to, for instance base Supa Supa no mi needs r14 base tech to reach Steel level until then it's iron. Also because we are a site that works on a system you could argue you can do more or be given more leniency with the fruit I.E having your weight alter your speed, being light as a feather makes you move faster, it's all in how you work the fruit, but again these are just my suggestions for how the fruit for work for a more balanced and enjoyable experience.

I gotcha. Gah, maybe we should just get rid of the fruit all in all... I was the only one who planned on taking it ever since it's been there apparently, so it won't be missed.
Na if you showed an interest it's obvious that someone will want it eventually and as this is a site that already bans several canon fruit it's nice to keep the ones we don't.
