Even though he still felt a bit weak from ingesting the foul mexican concoction, Sinne was still glad that he was finally strong enough to walk on his own two legs. The entire stint in the sewers while stuck as a puddle of mercury taught him several things. First, he should not be so cocky. After all, thinking himself invincible had some really negative consequences today. It was really a miracle that he managed to make it out alive. One wrong move and he would have ended up dead or worse, a prison bitch to some guy named Bubba. The pirate shuddered at that thought as he quietly walked down the alleyways surrounded on all sides by the four Wraiths who met him as he was climbing out of the sewers. The second thing the chef learned today was that he had some pretty glaring weaknesses in his power composition. Really, it was a miracle he had survived until now. Maybe he had gone all this time being watched over by a higher being. Then again, the assassin did not believe that any higher being would deem him important enough to watch over him all these years. Was it fate that he had survived this long or was it just luck that spared him a probably rather gruesome death. Either way, it was time to sit down and reevaluate his strengths and weaknesses and fix them.

With a long term goal in mind, the wraith returned his attention to the four individuals that surrounded him. Besides a few words when they met, none of them had uttered any sort of word since, making Sinne feel like he was being led to his execution. A shiver went through the pirate's body as he realized that that though had a pretty good chance of coming true given the fact that he was brought to his knees by a nobody, thus soiling the name of the Funeral Wraiths. Looking at the hooded figures again, the chef saw that all four were looking straight ahead with no indication that they deemed themselves low enough to even bother themselves with looking at him. With ideas swirling around in his head, the assassin noticed a red ribbon tied around the upper left arm of each of the four people. Another and much stronger shiver ran through the wraith's body as he realized just who exactly were the four individuals who had come for him. The Four Reapers of the Wraiths. Four people who answered only to the First Wraiths and were in charge of bringing any Wraith thought to bring shame upon the organization to justice, which usually involved death or if luck would have it, exile. If Sinne thought things were bad before, they just got a lot worse.

Sinne tried very hard not to tense up as he followed by the four wraiths to the place where his crimes were going to be judged. After all, even assassins had some kind of judiciary rules and in this case, the proceeding would go pretty much like in a regular court case. The judge, in this case probably the high ranking wraith, though probably not the First himself cause after all, taking time to preside over the pirate's trial would be a poor use to the leader's time, would give the defendant a chance to defend himself before passing the sentence. Then again, the chef figured that he was a high enough ranking wraith that the First might come oversee the trial himself. While that was not impossible, it was rather improbable. The assassin knew one thing for certain, Lucas was definitely not going to be present at the trial given his pre-occupation with one his ex-students somewhere on Route 2. The wraith really hoped that there would be some friendly face in this entire thing, but it was probably not meant to be. On that note, he expected the proceedings to attract a fairly high level of attention, but on the other hand, given the high number of Marines on the island, the Wraiths would not risk potentially allowing the entire leadership being captured in one fell swoop. So probably there were going to be around two or three other wraiths looking in on the trial.

What struck Sinne as curious was the swiftness with which the Four had found him. Seeing as how there was not another Wraith on the island, the Reapers would have no business doing here. And considering the swiftness of their arrival, they were probably on the island for at least a day but probably more like two. The pirate really should have seen it coming, but he did not think that the other Wraiths would be so suspicious of him on his first official outing as the Tenth Wraith. But the chef guessed that the First must have found the level of the assassin's skill suspicious enough to prepare the Four beforehand just in case Sinne fucked something up and brought dishonor on the guild. And oh boy did he. Not only was he felled by a nobody, he was rendered all but helpless by that same nobody and almost suffered death at a hands of several more people. All in all, he had done pretty shittily today and probably deserved what was coming to him. But like almost everything non-depressed person, the pirate had no want to actually die and so he was put at a dilemma. Survive and bring more dishonor on the organization, or die and restore some amount of honor back to the guild. Decisions, decisions.

Now, what sort of decisions did Sinne actually have to make? First and foremost would be whether or not to continue following the Four to the hearing or to instead try his best to escape and go into hiding since if he did not, the pirate had no doubt that the organization would hunt him down with extreme prejudice. Hell, the chef was not even sure that going into hiding would help any with the whole bringing him to justice gimmick. But then again, if he tried to escape, then he would have a higher chance of escaping judgement than if he just followed blindedly. However, if he did manage to escape, which was a whole different thing to consider, what would happen to the chances of just getting off with a minor slap on the wrist so to speak? Well, they would drop severely, especially if the assassin killed or injured anyone while he was escaping. Now, if the wraith did decide to escape now, what exactly did he think the chances were that he would successfully manage to escape? Well, since the Four were in charge of bringing rogue assassins in for judgement, which could include members of the Ten, Sinne did not doubt that as a group, the quartet was a very formidable opponent as a whole. What the pirate was not sure about is if he could manage to find a weak link in the group and exploit it if he wanted to escape.

As he continued walking in silence, the chef did become aware of another problem in this entire scenario. The closer they got to the meeting place, the lower his chances at escape were, especially considering the fact that there were probably going to be a couple of a higher ranked than him individuals at that place. Considering that stopping his escape was for the good of the organization, the assassin doubted that anyone there would simply allow him to escape just because it suited their fancy. No, the chance of escape at the meeting place was very little to none. As such, if the wraith did decide to stage an escape attempt, then he would have to pretty much stage it in the next couple of minutes since he was pretty certain that they would be arriving at the meeting place soon. The last major decision Sinne needed to consider was the likelihood of him getting killed or worse at the meeting. While his defeat was rather disgracing, only very few people saw it considering the fact that everyone else was just as knocked out as him. As such, there was a pretty good chance that his crimes might be mitigated due to this, thus reducing his sentence. But the question was, would the pirate bank on the judge having leniency on such a opinion based process? That, the chef could not say at the moment.

Really, it all depended on who was going to preside over the hearing. There were certainly people who disliked him and would not mind sending him to the gallows for even a minor infraction. Then there were a couple, like Lucas, who would be more linient and at most would put him on probation. Unfortunately, the number of those who would support him was lower than the ones who opposed him. Then again, the First would probably order someone who was neutral to resolve the situation. After all, that was the fairest way to do it. With that surmising, Sinne knew that there were only two people who would probably act like the judge, the Seventh and the Third. While the pirate knew a decent bit about the Seventh from various conversations and reading the mission logs. Unfortunately, the chef had very little information about the Third, hell, he did not even know its gender, seeing as how it rarely came to meetings and the mission logs were highly classified. The wraith certainly heard rumors about the Third, but most lacked any verifiable proof. However, there was one thing Sinne was sure about. The First would not bother the Third such a minute matter as being a judge for his potential execution. So really, that left the Seventh as the probable judge.

Now, what did the pirate know about his comrade. Well, first and foremost, the Seventh was a bishi playboy assassin who specialized in the art of seduction, somewhat like the chef except that the Seventh, who went by the name of Markoth, swung both ways and was more successful in getting into the pants of high borne ladies and gentlemen. Since hanging around in such circles required a certain mind set, the assassin figured that the judgement would go fairly simple and fairly quick with Markoth not particularly wanting to waste his time with plebeian trash and just getting it over with, probably just sticking with whatever the First recommended, something that Sinne could not even begin to imagine. Now, the pirate knew that like all nobles, Markoth would actually think about the judgement if the chef presented him with something interesting, something like an escape attempt. Seeing as how any escape attempt would be futile when they reached their destination, the only option the wraith had was to try to escape right now. With that decided, Sinne now had to decide, and quickly, how to successfully escape from the Four.

The question now remained as to how he was going to get away. With the Four surrounding him from all four sides, Sinne would have to figure out which person was the weakest of the group and then try using that side to get away. There were several problems with that. First and foremost, the pirate had never met any of the Four before nor had he heard much about then other than hushed rumors so judging their strenght from other source than hands on experimenting was gonna be rather problematic. Of course the chef did not mind hands on actions considering that being a chef kinda required one to have a lot of hands on experience. So that idea of figuring stuff out was not that bad. However, their silence after all this time made it hard to strike up a conversation but he could persevere. After all, he prided himself in being able to push people's buttons. Of course this was the assassin's own assumption and in no way was considered a fact. There was another problem with striking up a conversation. Because of the hoods worn by the Four, it put their face into shadow, making it hard to determine what they looked like. Plus, if the wraith was not mistaken, there was probably a mask hidden by the shadows.

Besides their face, the voice that Sinne heard sounded distorted enough for the pirate to have trouble identifying what gender the person speaking with. Combine that with their loose robes and close to identical height made it rather difficult to determine gender. While he did not particularly care what gender they were if he met them under different circumstances, knowing their gender now would prove useful in determinig which phrases would have the biggest effect and on whom. After all, trying to seduce a straight male would prove rather fruitless not to mention embarrassing and would probably just add further fuel to his judgement fire. The chef now kinda figured to use gender ambigous phrases until he was certain of at least one gender amongst the group. And even if he could get under someone's skin, the assassin would still need to contend with the other three. Since fighting four to one would prove beyond useless, he would have to run the first chance he got. But even with running came a plethora of problems. The two mains ones would definitely have to be the fact that they probably knew he was a lolgia and the other was that they also probably knew about his aversion to songs that messed with his mind. Overcoming those two things would prove an interesting challenge.

So, who of the Four would prove to be the weakest link? Sinne intended to find out pretty damn quickly. After all, his life depended on it. "You know, after sleeping with so many people of the years, anytime I'm in a small group of people, I always wonder, have any of these people know anyone who I slept with. Mother, sister, daughter or maybe even wife." the pirate said conversationally as if this was the most normal topic he could talk about all the while carefully watching the four wraiths for any sign of fidgiting to indicate this was bothering them. "I find the wives to be particularly interesting. After all, they seek out my services exactly because their own husbands cannot provide them with enough attention to satisfy their needs." the chef continued, sounding almost proud of that fact. The assassin's lips flashed a small smile when he saw a brief clenching of the fist from the wraith on the left. It seemed like the jab had striken true and now to add some finishing touches. "I mean, a man who cannot satisfy their own wife should not be even considered a man. After all, what use can he be if he cannot even pass on his own genes. Fucking useless if what he is." the wraith said gleefully and was rewarded by the same fist being clenched for a much greater period of time.

"Shut your mouth Gehhilfe or else." came the voice from the left wraith. Hook, line, and sinker. "Or what, you'll shut it for me? I really don't think you're man enough. After all, if you could not satisfy your wife, you can't be a man at all. Why don't you get one of your friends to do it for you? One of them is probably even sleeping with your wife. Now they are man enou…" Sinne's taunting was interupted by the fist meeting his face and tossing him to the side. "Goddamit Roy, don't let him get under your skin. He just wants to sow chaos between the four of us and escape." came a different voice as the owner of the voice held the first wraith from behind. "At the very least, use the seastone gloves. I don't think he'll allow any more hits in." came the third voice with the owner handing the gloves off to the first speaker. "He's right on one thing. I most certainly won't alloe you to hit me again." the pirate smirked and turned into a puddle of mercury and slipping through the grate he had fallen near and once again into the sewers. Except this time, he had an actually body. As yells sounded up above, the chef took off running, trying to get as far away from the grate as possible.

If someone ever told him that he would find himself in the sewers twice in one day, Sinne would have laughed in their face and just ignored them, but as he was running alongside the repugnant slime, the pirate could not help but wonder if he had made the right choices in life. After all, no one who made the right choices should have to spend so much time in the sewers unless they worked or lived there. And since the chef did neither of those things, if could safely be assumed that he had made at least one wrong choice in life that led to his current state. The assassin glanced back quickly as he heard the reverberating clang of the grate hitting the stone walkway of the sewers. There were some exclamations, probably due to the smell, before the wraith could hear the dull footfalls whose sound drew closer by the second. Sinne briefly wondered why he was not using his lolgia form to quickly travel to his escape before remembering that the form left a tell tale trail after him which would definitely be followed. As such, he was relegated to using his human form to escape, for now. At the very least, his footfalls made no noise, which would explain why he only heard two pairs of footsteps since the Four probably split up into pairs and track him better.

The pirate wondered if any of the Four had any better way to track him other that by sound or sight. Smell would definitely be out of the question thanks to the all pervasive stench of the sewers. That really left only supernatural ways of getting tracked, but the chef had no idea what sorts of abilities the Four possessed so he could not be sure what exactly they could potentially be capable of. However, since their job could potentially involve hunting down the higher ranked members of the organization, the assassin assumed that at least one member, but more likely two, of the Four would have ways of tracking the target beyond the conventional means, which most likely be haki. Since most haki tracking techniques required the user to be within a certain distance to the target, the wraith figured that he had maybe a minute or two more before he went back into range to be tracked. This fact would also explain the split up. If he was out of range, then they could not take the chance of following the wrong direction. Also because of the split, Sinne could safely assume that there were two trackers in the group, both splitting up to cover as much ground as they could. The pirate could only hope that he could get far enough into the sewers to further confuse his pursuers.

Not even a minute of sprinting later, Sinne came upon a fork in the sewers, with two tunnels leading to the left and one to the right. Having no idea which direction he should actually go, not that it particularly matter considering that since he was on the island, all sewers had to lead to the sea eventually. The pirate only hoped that the path he would choose would put him close to the docks. However, that was the secondary objective. The primary objective was to get away from his pursuers. And the best way to do that would be to make it as hard as possible to track him. As such, choosing the middle left passage would be for the best. First of all, choosing either of the left passages would work well in his favor because then he would be giving the Four more choices down which to pursue him. If he went down the right passage, then the chef would have made it too easy for his pursuers. As such, pausing for a single moment to decide this, the assassin dashed into the middle left tunnel, trying to get out of sight before the two of the Four had reached the intersection. The wraith had barely managed to hide into the gloom when he heard the voice of the two pursuers coming to the intersection. After a brief discussion, it seemed like they manages to chose the correct tunnel, if the nearing voices were anything to go by. Whats more, Sinne could hear them using a den den mushi to contact the other two members who went the other way.

With the distance between them decreasing quickly, two choices made themselves apparent in the pirate's mind, he could fight or he could escape. If he trully thought about it, fighting even two of the members of the Four would not be considered a good idea even under the ideal circumstances, something the current situation was far from. As such, escaping was really the only option left. Finalizing the decision made another one appear before the chef. How to escape. He could certainly use his Mercury Sea attack, however, that would flood the sewers with several hundreds of gallons of mercury, which would certainly draw the attention from the Marines, something he really did not want to repeat. That left the simple technique of turning into mercury and using his new found speed to get away. Yes, yes, that is really what needed to be done. By the time the assassin made his decision, he heard a set of two voices calling out after him. He did not listen to the words, but he got the jist of it either way. Come back peacefully or die. Considering that submitting to judgement would most likely result in his death anyways, surrender was not an option. Waving a hand behind him, the wraith turned into mercury and dashed ahead, using his new found speed to get ahead quickly. However, Sinne's surprise was complete when he saw a shape flit by his vision before he experienced a sharp pain in his shoulder as on of the Four stuck a seastone blade into the area of the pool of mercury where his shoulder would have been. Shit.

Sinne groaned as the mercury reformed into his body. There really was no reason to keep the rest of his mody in its elemental form if one part of it was pinned down with seastone. It wasn't like he would be able to escape it anyways. Between bouts of pain as the owner of the blade twisted it in the wound, the pirate took notice that it was the right shoulder that was pinned and not the left, keeping the sword away from his heart, apperantly not wanting to accidentaly kill him before his time. How they knew where his right shoulder was, the chef had no idea, although he would not be surprised if it was just a tiny bit of luck on his side that stopped the blade from going into his heart, gut, or brain. He could have used that luck to get away, but this luck was better than no luck at all. As the blade twisted in the wound, it seemed like its owner was in no hurry to take it out as the other two wraiths rejoined the group. No words were exchanged as one of the Four put a set of seastone shackles onto his wrists before the sword was finally removed with a squelch. A part of the assassin wanted to egg them on, but the wiser part prevailed since egging the Four on would result in nothing but a seastone fist to the stomach. Not fun at all. Pulling him roughly to his feet, the group retraced their steps to the ladder nearest to the place where the wraith had escaped before climbing back onto the streets.

As he walked in shackles, his body weak, Sinne wondered briefly why they did not use seastone shackles on legs or neck before the answer made itself obvious. If left on the feet, the shackles would make the user too weak to walk while a seastone necklace would render the prisoner's actions sluggish. While both were preferable while the prisoner was in a cell, they were inconviniences when the prisoner was the one doing the walking. Lost in thoughts on his failure, the pirate did not realize that they have arrived until proded by one of the Four. Looking around, the chef noted that the meeting place was in an abandoned building which was probably a store once if the shelves were anything to go by. Looking around, the assassin saw the twins Ninth and Eight standing by the left wall and watching him with disdain while his judge, the Seventh was sitting on the counter, looking bored. Besides Sinne and the Four, there was no one here, not even a single friend. The pirate did not know why, but that fact hurt a bit. Sure he was not the most popular or the nicests person, but no one deserved to be executed without seeing a least one friendly face before death. The clearing of the Seventh's throat marked the beginnig of the trial.

"You are a somewhat interesting man, Tenth, I give you that." said the Seventh is a melodic sort of voice. It was quite beautiful in Sinne's opinion, not that it mattered much to anyone. If asked to describe the voice, the pirate would definitely say that it was the sort of voice that made you happy and glad even as you pulled the trigger of the gun at your hand. The chef was not sure if there was any special powers behind the voice or maybe it just was just that, a simply too beautiful of a voice. "At first, I was going to simply declare you guilty since I figured this was a waste of my time and that I wished to be done with this as soon as possible." the Seventh chuckled, jumping off the bench and strolling towards the assassin, who was put on his knees and his arms spread wide by two of the Four holding them to the sides. "But then you just had to go and try to escape. It certainly got my attention and made me curious as to what kind of man you really were." the wraith continued, coming to stand right in front of Sinne. "And just as it was getting interesting, you got caught rather simply. I guess what they say about cocky logias really is true. Shame really." the man finished, stroking the pirate's face for a minute before walking back several paces.

"As such, I pronounce you guilty and sentence you to death by pistol. Any last words." the wraith asked, taking out a gilded revolver and pointing it as the chef's chest, cocking the hammer. Last words? The assassin was in a bit of a shock. There he went, getting a small glimmer of hope before it was roughly taken away from him. But really what could he have expected? His death was all but certain after the failed escape. Maybe if he had put up more of a fight, he might have been pardoned, but it was just not meant to be. As for last words? Should he beg for his life and hope that the Seventh was merciful or stay silent and strong? No, neither of those. "Yeah, fuck y…!" the rest of the exclamation was drowned out by the sound of the revolver going off, putting two bullets in Sinne's heart. The two members of the Four let go of the pirate's arms, allowing them to drop to his sides as he sat down on heels. The last thought that flitted through the chef's mind was how much it sucked to die alone. Then the last shot sounded, the bullet hitting the assassin between the eyes. The Seventh watched impassively as the body toppled backwards, blood spreading on the tiles as the rest of the wraiths took their leave. Sinne Gehhilfe was dead.
