Account Name: Whimpy

Basic Character Information
Name: Arnese Petto Orluce
Nickname: Petto, Arnie
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Affiliation: Pirate
Bounty: 0
Achievements: [N/A]
Profession: Inventor
An inventor is a man or woman with knowledge in how various mechanical devices work. They have good insight in how blueprints work, and can upgrade weapons, build explosives and battle engines if they have enough materials. Inventors don’t need to pay upkeep for their gadgets that they use in battle. They will also get a 20% discount on any technological upgrades they make to their own weapons. Bring it up with a moderator when upgrading to see if the discount applies.

Martial Artist
A Martial Artist is someone who specializes in hand-to-hand combat, completely or very close to unarmed. They usually have good insight in the aspects of weight, balance and movement of the body.

Position: [N/A]

Physical Appearance
Height: 5'9
Weight: 144lbs
Hair: Shaggy and roughly neck length, Petto's hair is black and seems perpetually oily and greasy with split ends and a general air of 'unkempt' to it.
Eyes: A bit narrow but almost curved, they are brown and considered to be fairly expressive on sight. Usually quirked slightly.
Clothing/Accessories: For a self-titled grease monkey, Petto is arguably dressed more like a businessman or some manner of professional; A thick grey coat falls down to his knees and a pair of tan work slacks hang off his legs, his shirt a sleeveless white 'muscle' shirt underneath a work vest that holds most of his spare tools. He also wears a white scarf that is stained by oil and muck in places but is finely kept.

The only thing about him that is predictable is his favoring of a pair of heavy leather work gloves that he keeps tucked in his pockets and a thick soled pair of boots that seem unnaturally loud even when walking on the softest material.

General Appearance: Petto is, invariable, a bit off putting to most people. He is a bit grungy and seems shorter than his height would indicate, his body is just a bit underdeveloped in most respects, lacking the mass you'd expect at his age and with his level of athleticism which, while more than most, seems to have little effect on him. He's overall a bit lanky and unimposing which is fairly true of the rest of him, he has little visible muscle, his skin is smooth but an off peach color that is just too dark to be a normal tan but not light enough to be a normal skin tone somewhat as if he was dusted with coal powder. He has rough fingers and thin feet with a slight curve to his nose that makes it tilt to the right enough to be noticeable.

On top of all this his tendency to chew on things has left his teeth a bit strangely deformed with random dents and chips in them that have been filled in with varying compounds, mostly ill fitting copper, nickel and in rare cases builder's plaster actually filling in gaps in teeth. He is otherwise quite orally hygienic, he just tends to bite things it seems.

The Character
Personality: Jovially searching for purpose summarizes the extent of Petto's central being and mindset. Pleasant and polite to a fault that makes him insufferable if you dislike 'Sir', 'Ma'am' and 'Excuse me' repeated in general conversation. A lot of his manners are strangely locked in this way and he doesn't break them even in heated moments which causes a spectacular clash of pleasantries and expletives into one seamless language almost unique to Petto. There is a slight sarcasm to Petto and his attitude but it is mostly humorous and rarely insulting, though the difference between the two blurs somewhat.

Petto is an odd man however once you peer past the pleasant and snarky inventor, starting with his most disturbing feature in that he enjoys, nay, loves, to chew on things. For taste, to ease his nerves, to test their relative strength...He bites, gnaws and nibbles on everything from fine cuisine to the most disturbingly nasty plant or piece of refuse if he feels it might somehow improve his position. 'Improve' being relative when his usual criteria of improvement is 'It can't hurt more than not doing it'. This often has him gnawing idly on pieces of furniture, decoration or swiping bits of things as he travels to gnaw on. It is not uncommon for him to do this unconsciously during times of stress or idle boredom, often times resulting in him biting on or nibbling on people or animals if he is distracted enough.

A further habit of Petto's is that he has very little filter between the inner and outer thoughts of his mind, essentially meaning it's not uncommon for him to think things he should say and say things he should think. Which usually ends poorly when he thinks 'Hello' and says 'What an ugly baby', for example. He also uses sometimes odd phrases and expressions that have little relation to events, calling 'such is life!' when staring down a firing squad or 'Roll the dice' when getting arrested. A strange tick of his as well is to use the word 'Duro' a lot. It itself, despite it's lack of meaning, is a catch phrase of his and it is a multi-purpose word he uses a lot.

What Petto lacks, unfortunately, is everything that makes a man's life worth living. He has no goals, no dreams, no grand aspirations. He is a pirate simply because his chosen profession of selling low tech inventions to pirates makes him a criminal by extension and he refuses to contemplate any other life. His relationships with others, while never exactly unpleasant, are rarely fruitful beyond a certain degree of business and perhaps temporary friendships. This uncertainty and listlessness often translates to periods of startling depression and outright emotional breaking that leads him to make rash decisions even when they can, and will, end horribly for him and others around him.

When he ceases this and he buckles down however Petto is an incredibly dedicated man. None of his inventions, no matter how hopeless, go unfinished and none of his jobs are left undone to the point he can be hopelessly mired in a task and then with one firm push of will, finish it incredibly quickly compared to his usual speed. This can apply in other situations as well, a singular focus overtakes Petto and he becomes a force to be reckoned with.

Hometown: Blackeater Town, North Blue
History

Abilities and Possessions
Combat: Petto's preference in combat is to hit the center of battle and attack with pressure and force in an almost stylistic manner; What he lacks in any martial 'training' he makes up for with a mind that is both creative and learned in pressure, force and tension. Utilizing his battle gauntlet, Petto can apply great pressure to melee fighters and with his focus on speed and strength, not necessarily self preservation, he can off settle most ranged attackers and close gaps quite quickly. He fights in a stylized and almost deliberately spectacular way, employing bombastic fighting moves and a finesse for complicated techniques that are, at their core, simple moves with difficult deliveries. He never just throws a punch when something else will do just as well. In addition to flash, he also employs a variety of simpler techniques to disarm opponents with mixed results.

While he is an inventor and he does have the tools to make more spectacular devices than his simple weaponized gauntlet, he rarely displays any of them in combat because his inventions tend to be simple, plain and to the point; Only by mixing them in with his grandiose fighting style would he readily ever employ them for combat.

What he lacks in sheer physical abilities and what disadvantage his need to fight grandly gives him, he makes up for it in a strong will and his obvious intellect that often give him an edge over other fighters as he mixes in terrain and, when the chips are down, he is capable of fighting quite dirty to win.

Weaponry: Rude Mano - A customized invention made by Petto for himself, Rude Mano is a hybrid of a gauntlet and a brace that is worn at nearly all times. It starts at Petto's elbow and runs down to the back of his hand. The frame is two parallel lengths of rounded wood fitted fitted with various straps to hold onto his arm and the elbow is simply an extended 'cup' around his elbow bone, padded with thick cloth inside and on the outside capped with iron to make an effective striking method. The back of his hand is fitted with leather like a glove and a strip of leather loops around his middle finger to keep it in place. Rudo Mano's biggest 'weapon' however is that when this middle strap is tugged in the right way the iron cup of Petto's elbow can slide forward and flip around to cover Petto's knuckle to afford the same protection and offensive ability to his punches and then by swiftly switched back to his elbow when the strap is released. He currently possesses only one.

Used Regular Technique Points: 12
Special Technique Points: 4
Used Special Technique Points: 4

Standard Techniques
Catalista - (4)
Type: Offensive
Range: Leaping Range
Petto puts most of his weight forward as he jumps, slamming fist-first into an opponent causing a fair amount of damage and if catching someone unaware knocking them over with the sheer weight.
Pena - (4)
Type: Offensive
Range: Melee
Another basic attack with Petto's style, this is a simple elbow smash but usually executed while spinning or falling to add weight and momentum to the attack. Usually painful if Rude Mano's elbow guard is not present.
Mezzo! - (4)
Type: Offensive
Range: Melee
One of Petto's flashier moves, Mezzo! is simply a quick uppercut but usually launched from kneeling position and pushed up with the legs to cause more damage.
Weapon Disarming Techniques
Pillastro - (4)
Type: Weapon Harry
Range: Melee
Utilized on those fighting with longer handled weapons but also effective on long blades and, if aimed properly, rifles and pistols, Petto leaps in close and smashes his fist down on a specific point in the weapon's length, just a few centimeters past the half-way point between the person's grip and the weapon's point/end. This point hit makes the weapon jerk roughly in the victim's hand and depending on the situation, those with less or equal strength to Petto could lose their weapon while those with less accuracy could find swinging it or aiming it comfortably difficult for a time.

You'll have to specify if you have one rude mano or two. Assuming it is only on one arm, I'll judge it as one handed weapon based on complexity. If you take two I'll have to charge you.

Your pillastro technique is relative to the strength of characters you're fighting, so characters with more strength and accuracy would be less bothered. While depending on the circumstances with someone similar in level you probably could disarm them.

I've edited the Rude Mano description to say it's only one and Pillastro has been worded to make it more obvious that it'd only work on lower accuracy/strength targets.
